rewatching a “kid’s” film as an adult and realizing that it’s actually Very Good and enjoyable and smart and enthralling regardless of your age is one of my favourite forms of nostalgia. realizing a movie didn’t talk down to you when you were a kid is incredibly comforting, i think.

warren finally (& possibly very irrationally) returns to his dorm room for the first time since that cursed™ frat party, where he may or may not run into nathan, his angry roommate who’s on a ragefueled rampage?!

Minho, who is strong and confident, but not emotionally, someone who shies away from more delicate moments, squirms when it gets emotional, will do something nice for someone else but will not make eye contact as he does so

Newt, who is strong and confident, especially emotionally, someone who will grin as they accept help, someone who will willingly die to help someone else, someone who will hug someone in public and not show a hint of shame after, someone who will cry and not care if they're seen

Minho falling head over heels for that sense of safety, for that confidence, for that unabashed vulnerability. Meanwhile Newt is utterly clueless

while Minho is doing things that are the pinnacle of romance to his "affection is awkward" mind, Newt is just like "hey Minho left me a snack! he's been really nice lately :D"

There seems to be some debate over whether or not Scar cared about Grian's "affair" in double life and I think it comes down to the fact that Scar did not care about finding his soulmate nor did he particularly like Grian as his soulmate. i love kung fu panda so much but i get so hrhhhhghhk when i think about all of the,,,,, idk potential??? that was not/has not been used like

kung fu panda 1,2, secrets of the furious five/masters/scrolls?? they are really good imo and i remember being really excited about 3 and how they were going to expand on po's relationship with the furious five and then,,,, it didn't happen Like, 3 is good, legit good, not 1 and 2 good, but still. I really like Kai and Mr Ping and Po's bio dad (i forgor his name rn sorry), and a lot of other stuff, even if i would've liked tigress to be more, important to everything ig and then i remember being really excited about 4 and i thought "surely this time they are going to expand on po's relationship with the furious five" and then they were barely in the film and agggggggggh 4 was a disapointment in SO many ways and i want to cry so so, now i kinda want to just try and do kung fu panda art to deal with this, but also, does anybody have opinions on the TV shows? the most recent one looks Not Great on the animation, and while I've been wishing for literal years for them to just do the obvious thing and make a 2D TV show i don't really have hope SO, are there any of the TV shows worth watching? i can ignore not great animation if the writting is good, i just want more of good kung fu panda please
