I want to point out the irony of an anti

there’s this new ecchi anime called “plus sized elf” which, as you can guess from the title, is about a plus sized elf

the anime is about an elf girl who traveled to the human world because she was fed up about eating raw ingredients in the elf world and gained too much weight because she couldn’t resist snacking on French fries, which meant she couldn’t go home as she had to be the same weight she was when she entered the human world

now there’s an anti who really has a thing for chubby characters, mainly girls. That in itself isn’t a problem, it’s just that they put themselves on a pedestal and seem to think their art is hot shit and they look down on people with unusual (but harmless) kinks and overall hate the existence of anything made under r34.

this person, of course, drew that elf girl before the anime aired, and only because she’s chubby. But the anime jokes about her weight more than often, right at the beginning her shirt was torn off because of her weight, it focuses on her bottom and boobs (and they are huge), she moans while being given a massage, and while she manages to lose weight, she instantly regains it at the end with the argument “since it’s possible to lose weight, I don’t have to stop eating French fries!”

this anime is probably right up that anti’s alley, except they’re now denying ever having shown interest in the anime/the female characters (who are all plus sized) and of course they don’t have a plus size kink/interest, that’s a thing only dirty “freaks” have

I am sick and tired of America controlling the internet and putting other people in other countries on edge

if you haven’t heard about KOSA, google it, I beg you. Because it is targeted at Tumblr. Specifically.

As a Canadian writer, it is terrifying to even have to entertain the idea that my space may be taken away from me because some fuck ass transphobic shit heads want to control everyone else. It’s even more terrifying as a queer content creator. We aren’t hurting anyone, but going after fandom spaces under the guise of protecting children is.

Where is this same fire for R34 sites which could be actively harmful to your kids? I for one was a child with unrestricted internet access and was severely fucked up by r34 sites (and Twitter). I have seen shit I cannot unsee, no matter how hard I want to. Tumblr, Ao3 and wattpad were actually beneficial to me because they taught me how to healthily express my creativity and nursed my writing & art skills. They (the makers of the bill) don’t want that. They don’t give a flying fuck about kids and their internet safety - if they did they would have much different approaches. What they actually want is to go after queer spaces so they can control everyone. Because if they control what is online, everyone can fall into the alt right pipelines with no other option or voices to listen to. They can silence us all. They want to silence us all. They want queer youth and adults alike so they feel alone and wrong, and curl up in on themselves until we go underground again.

This needs to be talked about. Especially now, because they are doing it while all the focus is on the writers strike and the anti trans bills, so they can slip this one under the radar until it’s too late.

I’m Canadian so I know little in the way of how to stop your American bill process. So do your own research and fight back! Contact your local representative, share information, for once in your life scream from the damned roof tops.

If shit does get shut down here, I will move this blog to Pillowfort and definitely find some other places to post fanfic. If ao3 fully goes down, I will repost some of my fics, such as White Lies. My issue with Dreamworks' stans and why I dislike How to Train You Dragon 2.

My issues with Anti v Proshipping. Def would be a multi part series explaining why I think most of the problem is just people really aggresively bulling one another -AND THEN, getting into heinous fandom shit that no one talks about and the ethics of children online and freedom of expression.

Prolly then would make an exclusive (cuz it's dirty) review abt the rights of r34 and adult artists and what they had to/have to put up with both from peers and websites banning explicit material.

Are you someone who only ships things for the sake of smut? Do you base the entirety of your personality on the porn you consume? If your answer is anything but yes, then why do you assume that proshippers do that?

There are toxic people in every community. Yes, every single one of them. Fandom. Bandom. Youtubers. Kinks. Queer. Etc. That does not mean that the content being made is bad or wrong, or that the entire community is predatory just because there are a few bad eggs. There are toxic proshippers, and there are toxic antis. And these morality wars are hurting more people than they're protecting.

Oh, and plot twist for ya, nonnie: I'm a sex repulsed ace in a healthy decade long relationship with someone my age who is also a proshipper!! I don't jerk off to my ships regardless of the characters' ages because they're not sexual to me. I like chemistry and emotional intensity. I like exploring themes that I would never dare to even consider offline. But I still support other people making and consuming what they want and how they want it in their own safely designated spaces, which is exactly why tagging systems exist. And yes, that includes me supporting your right to disagree with me entirely and/or block me if you truly believe that what I'm saying is dangerous.

Hot take but people shouldn’t be drawing 18+ art of kid’s media and posting it, I mean remember all of the 18+ art of MLP that could be easily found just by looking up a character’s name? If you want to draw that stuff, just keep it to yourself or keep in a group of people that you can 100% trust that stuff not leaking out

Hot take but children shouldn't be in 18+ spaces they shouldn't be in. Anyone can draw anything, as long as it's properly tagged and age restricted, for example, twitter. You can age restrict your media and there IS a safe mode. A child out of safe mode or a child lying about their age so they have access to 18+ media is akin to a child getting into a bar. We remove the kid, we don't shut down every bar in existence.

As for google and MLP, well, theres four major factors

1 - unsupervised children using google search with safe mode off before being at least 16

2 - Massive amounts of explicit n5fw art being shared untagged and unrestricted (by careless adults who should've known better)

3 - "safe" kink art (vore, inflation,etc) which was untagged,or tagged improperly, and then got shared by others/put in safe searches in google (again,this is because the art was untagged, and it SHOULD have been tagged)

and lastly,but very importantly

4 - Morbid curiosity. Plain and simple, children and particularly young teens looove to be morbidly curious and 'jokingly' look up something in r34, when they learn about its existance or if by hearsay (or,more common now, antis on tiktok having rage rant videos on the EeEevil nsfw art) they will be curious and *actively seek it out*

think of the bar example, but add that there are rumors that in the bar theres a super weird creepy monster.

result? more kids try to sneak into the bar.

The MLP guys do/did a great job of making it so their r34 stuff was caught by the filers on google and such too, not sure how much effort they put into it now but I imagine some.

Put safe search on and MLP r34 stuff doesn't/didn't pop up in the first couple pages, only fandom I can recall that did anything like that.
