I would really like to make some new friends but every single discord server I join has someone who likes Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss, Omori, DSMP, Hetalia/CountryHumans, or is a proshitter (mostly ZADR in IZ servers). It's fucking insane. They make me so uncomfortable and I just cannot coexist in a server with those people. If anyone has a discord server that doesn't allow that stuff I would love to join, especially if you're active. I'll list some of my interests in case anyone has a server specific to one of these things.

everyone forgive me but im gonna rant a bit about something stupid that literally doesnt really matter at all but still makes me mad so.

just i cant quite believe the audacity of new people who come into a fandom space and then get absolutely furious about what they find to the point where they create self policing rules and regulations about what is 'acceptable' behavior....as if that isn't the wildest thing ever? as if fandom isn't supposed to be fun? as if it isnt about taking a piece of media, art, something you FEEL things about and just tearing it to shreds (in a good way), consuming it and writing and drawing and interacting, engaging with a story....as if that isnt the most human thing ever?? i'll be clear and say that this is about people who came into the invader zim fandom after the movie came out and thought that they could police the place...it still flabbergasts me all these kids who's views on the world were so...black and white and non-nuanced when the very show/movie/comic they were enjoying was all about the ways people aren't good or evil but just people (stupid people but people none the less).

im not sure if its quite possible to get across the vitriol directed at something so innocuous...most of it was about shipping bc of course. again, this is about a cartoon made by a guy who wrote johnny the homicidal maniac....and characters that are decades old at this point...with a fandom full of people in their 20s/30s/40s+ bc we all grew up re-watching the show over and over again. people made call out posts and sent anon hate and suicide bait and created like lists of known 'ped*s' as if wanting two fictional characters from a stupid show to kiss and hold hands was the same as something so utterly horrendous and vile. almost as if it's the literal easiest way to dehumanize and 'other' whatever gives you that knee jerk disgust reaction....

literally if anyone had any type of understanding of nuance, shit wouldn't have gotten to the point of people being driven off the website...where the IZ fandom is right now where its littered with empty and deactivated accounts bc y'all kids and others without critical thinking skills created a hostile ass fucking space that no one wanted to step foot in unless they got dog-piled and/or doxxed.

i wonder what the problem was?

was it REALLY the people who believed in seeing SOMETHING like LOVE between fictional cartoon characters?

or was it those who decided that those people MUST BE irredeemable monsters and child predators without thinking TWICE?

Love the idea that Zim and Gaz can never work as a comedy pair the way Zim and Dib do because Gaz won’t “Yes, and…” Zim. Everything he throws at her, she just refuses to play along with until he gets frustrated and leaves to go find her brother and get him to indulge his bullshit.

Zim can eat as much as GIR can, but chooses not to, because it’s “impolite”

Zim and dib have “special no fight days” where they hang out or whatever like 4 days out of the month, except summer where it’s 5, when those land on school days the skoolkids act like the raptures coming

Keef once dramatically professed his love for zim in front of everyone (flowers a huge ass speech etc) and zim promptly threw up and beat Keef up after school for embarrassing him. Keef though he was playing hard to get (he was not. There was no love involved whatsoever.)

Zim fucking loves earth pastries, he will postpone his “evil plans” if dib bribes him with a couple of cupcakes.

^ when zim, gaz and dib were at a state fair, zim entered a pie eating contest, he just wanted pie, but it was the worst thing dib and gaz ever witnessed, he ate 3 pies in 5 minutes. It looked like the dark harvest but with blueberry pies. Dib still can’t eat pie, but zim did win.

Zim actually likes girs soap waffles, he just eats them in moderation

Since doughnuts are rarities for the tallest, the first time zim had a doughnut was when letter M brought them in for his birthday, zim was confused, ate it, and promptly cried at how delicious it was, like full on nearly sobbing, (his classmates were like “BRO?” “Is you good??!!”)

Membrane once invited zim over for dinner, because “he’s such a polite young man! With his passion for science, he’s a wonderful influence for you dib!” And zim was well behaved, dib however…..

Gaz and zim once played cuphead together, after fighting over who got to be cuphead (gaz won) they played… two dumbasses with anger problems playing a rage game…. Membrane and dib curled into a corner and cried of fear

Zim can cook actually really well because his time on foodcourtia, he just does not like to. He once cooked for a schools bake sale and dib accused him of buying it.

Zim hacked into the membranes Netflix account, and for some reason it cannot be removed, like he hardwired it into the account.

Zim and gaz and GIR Play video games together, (Minecraft, Roblox, supersmash bros, Mario kart and animal crossing are their specialties) “GAZ DONT CONSPIRE WITH THE ENEMIES!!” “Shut the fuck up GIR just found diamonds and if we don’t get to him he’s gonna die and lose them in lava”
