Why even make a tombstone for ironwood when they don’t even care for him?
It scares me how easy it was for winter to hate ironwood despite everything they went through.
Winter agreed with ironwoods plan but now someone gets away with her actions.
It’s funny in a sad way: winter acted no different then her father
I honestly hope ironwood finds peace.
I hope you are ok mate because when I saw this I was disappointed and disgusted with winter.
So this ask came in before the questionable tweet claiming it’s a group memorial but l think the point is important to discuss because given RT’s past actions it’s not hard at all to believe they would and I’m not convinced that wasn’t the original plan until fab theories came flying in and they changed it on the fly.
Regardless of the tombstone it is scary how easily Winter disregards James and blames him for everything. She acts like she wasn’t the one to initially recommend martial law, that she didn’t agree with his plans and methods for all of volume 7 and most of 8. She pretends she’s some uwu sad woman who was deceived by the big bad man and it’s disgusting and pathetic honestly. She is capable of taking accountability for her actions. She can and should be called out for her shitty choices. Just because she’s a woman doesn’t mean she’s too weak or uwu sad to face said conveniences for her own damn choices.
It just drives me up the wall when female characters are infantilized especially by male writers. It’s insulting and degrading but fans eat this shit up and pretends it’s top tier feminist writing and it’s not.
James deserved to be in a better written show that actually gives two shits about its characters and isn’t ableist, sexist, racist and homophobic. It’s frustrating to see a disabled nonwhite man with PTSD treated like this. It feels intentional it feels like the writers are painting a clear picture about how they feel about people like James and how they feel people like James deserve to be treated.
I hate Winter, I hate how the writers have ruined her character and made her so disgusting and unlikable. She’s just another pathetic rich baby whining because some people aren’t happy with how her vile family treated them and are rightfully lashing out at their shitty situation and Winter just is oh so sad and we should feel bad because her shitty family doesn’t get to sit in their giant palace anymore and has to live like regular people and isn’t it oh so sad? /s.
Seeing Winters face these days has me two seconds away from flying into a rage and I hate that. And CR//WBY and their bullshit sexist writing is to blame.

Winter? Schnee? Didnt she... train under him, act as his right hand woman, suggest martial law, stuck by him even after his evil volume 8 clone took over?
I dont care who you are, graffiting a grave is just wrong. Idk if it belongs to an awful person disgracing a grave makes you the most petty and disrespectful person ever.
AND WINTER DID IT!? Not some Atlasian who fell from their comfortable home, not some Mantle resident who was upset at how Ironwood "mistreated" them, not some Vacuan who's upset at this whole nations immigration. WINTER!?
This bitch is going in the DESPISE teir if this is true
Wait... this isnt Jacques? This is Ironwood?
RT, why? Why do you keep bringing him up? You saw how slandering him has divided your fans worse than your bee ship your so desperate to use as queer bait so why do you constantly drag him through the mud? Are you just going to flat out admit you hate Asians and amputee's?
Alright my fellow Pro Ironwood protectors, gather, we aint gonna let this slide. Yall wanna start a new Hashtag called #LetRWBYDIE

If there’s one thing I don’t like about RWBY: Beyond, it was the choice to make it fully voice-acted. While I do absolutely love what we were given, it’s really obvious that CRWBY was working with whatever resources they had left, and were unable to get many of the show’s voice actors back before Rooster Teeth shut down, so they couldn’t make many stories for the miniseries.
So, what I think would have made for a good RWBY: Beyond episode is @pmpknsoup’s post featuring Ruby and Robyn that I’ve brought up too many times on this blog.
This will be the third time I touch on that post, but I can’t promise that it will be the last.
Feel free to comment or reblog how you think this would have gone.
———————————————————————————-
(In Theodore’s office in Shade Academy at early evening, Team RWBY and Jaune Arc face the main members of the Remnant Alliance, consisting of Team JNPR plus Oscar Pine/Ozpin and Emerald Sustrai, Team STRQ, the Ace-Ops, the Happy Huntresses, Winter Schnee, Team SSSNN, Team CFVY, Whitley Schnee, Willow Schnee, Klein Sieben, Maria Calavera, Dr. Pietro Polendina, Ghira Belladonna, Kali Belladonna, Ilia Amitola, Bartholomew Oobleck, Peter Port, Glynda Goodwitch, Theodore, Xanthe Rumpole, and Zwei.)
RUBY: Listen. Thanks, everyone, for your patience.
RUBY: It took a while to figure out how to tell you, and I know being left in the dark about our whereabouts over the remainder of the winter, the whole spring, and the summer has left you anxious, but now, I’ve decided it’s time to reveal what’s been going on. Robyn, I’ll need your Semblance to prove all of this correct.
ROBYN: Uh, okay.
(Robyn steps away from the group, removes her glove, and joins hands with Ruby. Her Semblance turns on and glows green with every piece of information Ruby gives.)
ROBYN: So, you guys didn’t make it out of the pocket dimension before it collapsed. Where did you guys fall to?
RUBY: Well, after I fell, I regained consciousness on a beach surrounded by giant seashells. I tried to hone in on a giant tree, but just ended up looping in circles. Eventually, I had to stop, then found a mouse trying to pull a plant out of the ground. I pulled the plant, which turned out to be a cheese plant, out for the mouse, and fed it to them. After the mouse revealed that they could talk, I named them Little, and they decided to stay by my side as I tried to get home. Then we found Weiss and Blake captured in vines by a whole village of talking mice. It didn’t take much convincing to get them to let them go. Then we went to look for Yang and found a creepy Grimm-looking creature moving jerkily. And I mean very creepy. (IMITATING JABBERWALKER) “Stalking. Searching. Waiting. Listening.” (NORMAL VOICE) Then Yang came barreling out, already fighting the creature while missing her arm. Then Blake realized we were in our favorite childhood fairy tale, The Girl Who Fell Through the World.
(Confusion and wonder all around. “That fairy tale?” “The Ever After?” “It’s real?”)
OSCAR: That fairy tale actually happened? And the Ever After is real?
RUBY: Which meant the creepy Grimm-like creature was the Jabberwalker from that story. Also, Weiss had a very hard time wrapping her head around the Ever After’s absurdities.
(Weiss blushes with embarrassment.)
WEISS: I did not.
RUBY: Our hands are glowing green, Weiss. Robyn’s Semblance never fails. Then we went to the village in the King’s Acre to barter with the Jinxy Peddler, who had stolen Yang’s arm. Well, they don’t “steal”, they just “take things others aren’t looking at”. Fair is fair, right, Little?
ROBYN: Sounds like a legitimate businessperson.
WEISS: Right?
EMERALD: Wait, you guys met the Jinxy Peddler?
VELVET: Was he cute?
WEISS: Cute? He was adorable!
RUBY: And, despite being older than he was in the book, his strategy was the same, selling treasures that are really other items in disguise. If my memory serves me right, he had a yellow scepter, a pink rabbit statue, and a marionette-like doll. Toy soldiers won the scepter, and we only got it back from them because Little tried stealing the marionette, exposing Jinxy’s treasures as fakes. The rabbit statue was another mouse, the scepter was Yang’s arm, and the marionette was one of Penny’s Floating Array swords. The soldiers followed us to arrest us for stealing Yang’s arm, or “royal property”, before I traded Penny’s sword, and told them she was the greatest warrior to ever live. “She was touched by magic, and she gave her life for thousands. She took a message of hope to the stars, and she saw the world through better eyes.”
(The gang gets emotional, especially Winter and Pietro, who are comforted by their loved ones.)
RUBY: The soldiers escorted us to the Crimson Castle for the birthday of who we thought was the Red King, but turned out to be the Red Prince, who was more of a spoiled brat than Weiss was at Beacon.
YANG: (nudging Weiss) Heh-heh.
RUBY: We challenged him to a game of chess, where he shrunk the girls to the size of chess pawns. Not that it hindered their performance against the Prince’s pawns. When we revealed that we’re humans and beat him, he threw a tantrum and wanted us beheaded, and the Curious Cat rescued us.
(More interested chatter. Nora Valkyrie gets giddy.)
NORA: The Curious Cat?!
REN: Were they as chatty as the book made them out to be?
RUBY: Mm-hm. Not to mention easily distracted. Anyway, they took us to look for ingredients for a Growgurt Parfait in the Garden’s Acre, and we told them our life story, but because we kept getting distracted with our internal conflicts, we kept losing them over and over again. After the third time, when they asked me how I’m supposed to save the world now that Salem has two out of four Relics and that Atlas is gone, we met an herbalist, a caterpillar named Herb who seemed to be asking us questions to figure out what medicine he needed to make to help us. Looking back, he was being reasonable, as too little medicine is useless, but too much medicine is toxic. Eventually, Herb just decided to smoke a hookah for a bit and drugged us with leaves that made us see our past selves tempting us to “go back”. To be free. To be simple. To be whole. To be different. The other girls rejected and had already accepted their failures as something to learn from, but I almost gave in, before the Cat stopped me, then got Herb swallowed by a hole in the ground.
(The gang chatters in moods ranging from confusion to nervousness.)
TAI: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Back up. You guys did drugs?
QROW: Don’t let alcoholism be next, girls.
RUBY: Anyway, the Cat led us to a market to keep looking for the Parfait ingredients. Along the way, they told us about a process that occurs when an Afteran is no longer doing their assigned role, triggered by them losing their ways, wearing out, doubting themselves, or even just finishing their assigned tasks, upon which they are taken to the Great Tree and repurposed into someone or something else with a new identity, personality, and role. Their memories are erased in the process, but the heart very rarely forgets. They don’t die. They ascend.
(Such a concept catches the interest of the gang.)
REMNANT ALLIANCE: Ooh.
EMERALD: Talk about a potential existential crisis.
RUBY: Hence why there was no Red King when we got to the Castle. He lost his game and ascended into the brat we encountered. And the hole that swallowed Herb was him starting his own Ascension. Anyway, after we arrived at the market and got all of the Parfait ingredients, the market was attacked by Jabberwalkers using Neopolitan’s Semblance. Yeah, Neopolitan fell with us, too.
(Nora, Ren, Oscar, and Emerald grow worried.)
REN: Uh-oh.
TAI: Neopolitan? Who’s that?
RUBY: Remember Roman Torchwick, the criminal from Vale? Neo was his partner. She held me responsible for his death at the Fall of Beacon and wanted me dead to avenge him. She expressed herself through gestures and facial expressions because she couldn’t talk.
RAVEN: Was she that chick I saved Yang from on the train on Mountain Glenn?
RUBY: Yep. Then I disposed of her by opening her umbrella on an Atlas airship in the sky during the Fall of Beacon. Apparently she survived that fall without any of those Grimm surrounding us eating her.
OSCAR: Team JNPR and I last fought her right after Ironwood declared us fugitives.
RUBY: Then she fought us in the pocket dimension between here and Solitas. Heck, she was the reason Yang, Blake, and I fell. Anyway, we made the Growgurt Parfait and the girls grew back to normal size just as we got assistance from the Rusted Knight riding his white rabbit.
WHITLEY: Did Weiss go goo-goo eyes the second she laid eyes on him? She had a crush on him when she was younger.
BLAKE: I think everyone had a crush on the Rusted Knight at some point.
RUBY: Well, things didn’t help when he turned out to be a grown-up Jaune with longer hair and a beard, who grabbed a fruit that sent him back in time twenty years right after he landed.
(The gang gasps at the new knowledge of the Rusted Knight being not only Jaune, of all people, but Jaune thrown backwards in time, grown older, and living without his friends for so long.)
NORA: Oh, my Gods! Jaune!
JAUNE: I was stuck there isolated from other human contact, too.
YANG: Weiss certainly loved how mature he was.
RUBY: And the white rabbit was a jackalope Jaune named Juniper.
NORA: After his team? Aww!
RUBY: Then Jaune told us his perspective on the Tree, that he believed it was death, that Alyx backstabbed her brother Lewis, the author of the fairy tale, who wrote the story the way he wished it happened, and that the Cat couldn’t be trusted. Before long, we got caught in a “punderstorm”, which creates a physical manifestation of a mental or emotional problem. Jaune, Weiss, Juniper, and I were sent to metaphorical and literal crossroads, while Yang and Blake were sent to two broken, wooden, rickety bridges connected to a giant pillar that they could only make more planks to advance toward if they were honest about their feelings for each other. Yeah, Yang and Blake are girlfriends now.
(As Yang and Blake blush at each other, everyone’s hearts melt, all proud for the Bees.)
REMNANT ALLIANCE: Aww!
NORA: See, Ren? I told you there was more going on!
KALI: Our baby girl found love?
TAI: With my sunny little dragon?
RAVEN: Wow. She really is your daughter, Tai.
TAI: What’s that supposed to mean?
RAVEN: A tall, muscular, boisterous blonde who tells bad jokes pining after a brooding dark-haired beauty? A tale as old as time.
RUBY: Then the Cat bailed on us after mistaking us for selfishly using them to get home, and once the storm passed, Jaune let us spend the night in his house in the Origami Acre, then he introduced us the next morning to a village of paper stars called the Paper Pleasers. They seemed very dumb and clumsy at first, because of the daily disasters they were causing, but, at the end of the day, were very hospitable. He also named them after all of us. On Jaune’s to-do list, I saw Ren, Ruby, Oscar, Nora, Neptune, and Pyrrha.
(Not a word is spoken as everyone exchanges concerned and uncomfortable looks with each other.)
RUBY: Anyway, a Paper Pleaser told us they kept causing disasters because they wanted to ascend, because their purpose was long since finished, but Jaune was stopping them because of his belief that the tree was death. They told us that the Tree isn’t death, but resurrection, rebuilding, and rebirth. Then Neo’s Jabberwalkers attacked, and while we were distracted, the Paper Pleasers finally managed to off themselves by destroying the koi pond dam and drowning in the flood, then when the girls asked me to help comfort Jaune, I blew up at them for caring more about everyone else’s feelings or getting home, taking my mental health for granted and ignoring my problems…
(Everyone leans in anxiously. Things are getting even more interesting, but not in a good way.)
(Weiss, Blake, Yang, and Jaune exchange looks of guilt.)
RUBY: …then I ran away, came across the Abandoned Acre, and entered a mansion, where Neo had made clone illusions of Roman Torchwick, Penny, Pyrrha, Professor Lionheart, Clover, Ozpin, and Ironwood, and used them to physically and psychologically abuse me, beating me up ruthlessly and blaming me for their deaths, and when the chaos was over, I felt no will to live or be myself anymore, not helped by Torchwick’s question: “Do you really think you can stand to watch more of your friends fall? Or are you ready to admit the truth, that the world would just be better off without you?”
(The gang regards Ruby with sorrow over her being trampled by her trauma. Ozpin can be heard sniffling.)
RUBY: Then Neo offered me tea made from leaves from the Tree intended to wipe me from existence. The Cat blasted her away, but then turned out to be evil and tried to possess me, while revealing that they had been trying to wear me down the whole time, then Neo fought them off and stomped Little to death, then I finally gave in, drank the tea, offing myself, and got swallowed by the Tree.
YANG: (tearing up) Oh, Rubes.
RUBY: Then I met a Blacksmith, who I also found at the market, or, rather, she found me, and then she presented me with a choice to either change my identity or be myself. I saw my mom’s weapon and was treated to a vision of the night she left with Raven on another one of Ozpin’s secret missions and never came back.
(Tai turns accusingly at Raven.)
TAI: Raven?
YANG: She lied? She left with you?
RAVEN: Yeah… Hey, like I said to her, “First time for everything.”
(The gang gives her a look.)
RAVEN: Really? Sheesh. Tough crowd.
HARE: (to Ruby) Wait. What did you say your mother’s name was again?
RUBY: Summer.
HARE: (muttering) So, her uncle is Qrow, her father is Taiyang, and her sister’s mother is Raven. All are members of Team STRQ. Summer, Summer, Summer… (out loud) Summer Rose, the leader of Team STRQ, was your mother?
REMNANT ALLIANCE: (walla) Summer?…Summer Rose?…The previous silver-eyed Huntress?…That’s Summer Rose’s daughter?
RUBY: Yeah. And then, I finally remembered my mom’s words, “I love you just the way you are,” chose to be myself, and came back to help the girls fight the Cat. And we won.
(Cheers and applause all around.)
RUBY: And then Neo killed the Cat by using the Jabberwalkers to eat them. By the way, Jabberwalkers are the only creatures to prevent Ascension if they eat Afterans.
BLAKE: On my count, there were a whopping five of them.
REMNANT ALLIANCE: (walla) Five?…Five of them?…Five Jabberwalkers?
SUN: Talk about overkill.
ELM: (after doing the multiplication math in her head) That’s gotta be over ninety teeth!
RUBY: And, according to the girls, Neo was possessed by the Cat, and she chose to accept Torchwick’s death and undergo her own Ascension. Oh, and Little ascended, too, into who we called Somewhat, and succeeded Jaune as the protector of the Ever After. By then, we had made it to the Tree by coming to terms with the truth, we’ll never be perfect, that even the most skilled Huntsmen and Huntresses have failed, and we walked through the door back home, landed inside the plane of the Tree, and met the Blacksmith again at her workshop. When we noticed two statues of the Brother Gods, she told us their backstory. That the Ever After was overfilled with plants and dangerous wildlife in its primordial years, but the Brothers were created to clear it out. Then they created the Afterans as well as the different acres for them to live in. They designed new creations that would replace them in maintaining the Ever After. This was how the Cat was created. They later created the Jabberwalker as a form of destruction. However, the two disagreed on whether it disrupted the balance or not and began to wage war.
OSCAR AND OZPIN: (both scoff) What else is new?
RUBY: The Blacksmith told us how balance isn’t supposed to be two opposing forces locked in battle; balance is an ecosystem, an organism, and a living thing, thus balance isn’t restored with force or manipulation, it’s restored naturally, requiring love and patience to see it through to the end. The Gods got to Remnant because the Ever After created a door to a “greater beyond” for them, so they can leave and experiment in creating new worlds as much as they like.
NORA: (snickering) So the Tree basically said, “You think you have life sorted out? Then get out of my house”?
RUBY: Pretty much.
(Everyone laughs at the Brother Gods basically being “kicked out of the house” by their “mom”. Some Gods they are.)
YANG: Oh, my Gods, that’s such a hilarious way of looking at it. Thanks, Nora.
RUBY: Anyway, the Blacksmith told us that we impacted the Ever After significantly, just like Somewhat, Alyx, and Lewis, and that the Cat caused a bad impact. Then she de-aged Jaune, but let him keep his memories, which explains the white streak in his hair, and made us a portal in the desert on the outskirts of the city, and now you’re all caught up.
(Ruby lets go of Robyn’s hand. The freedom fighter rejoins the rest of the Alliance.)
RUBY: So, I’m happy to announce that I’m not giving up the fight to save the world anytime soon. No longer will we be putting the entire burden of the world’s safety on one individual, for we are Team Remnant, led by us, Team RWBY!
REMNANT ALLIANCE: (walla) Yes!…Great!…Alright!…Thank goodness!…Welcome back, Ruby!…Good to have you back, kid!…Way to go, Ruby!…That’s my girl!
YANG: We’re so proud of you, Ruby.
RUBY: Thanks, guys. You and your support mean the world to me. And I’m just as proud to call you guys family. All of you.
(Everyone looks at Ruby with warmed hearts.)

Wait wait. I thought there was some incest going on the the Schnee bloodline but apparently Jacques married into the family??? And yet the siblings all have white hair and blue eyes???
Long Post Ahead
Nope, no incest in the bloodline at all. As little information as we have on this man, we at least knew that Jacques was married into the family as confirmed by Weiss in Volume 4.
I can see why all three siblings have white hair and blue eyes, seeing as Willow and Nicholas also have these traits, it's safe to assume that the Schnee genes are very dominant and is a social indicator for Atlas to know who they are (I guess?)
I do see where the problems can arise though, anon. It's very strange that Jacques just,,,got pure white hair and mustache when the people around his age (Watts, Taiyang, Ghira, etc.) either still have their original hair color or just white streaks. Even when he has an adult daughter (Winter), seeing as how Jacques had black hair when he was younger, he should still have some of the color left at his age.
This is where I think a lot of story-telling elements are missing and are wasted; let's go back to the "white hair and blue eyes indicate the Schnee bloodline" theory, then Jacques would want to make his relationship with the family name as evident as possible. Marrying Willow isn't enough, to Jacques he MUST look like a Schnee as well. So he began to have his hair bleached white and associate himself with the royal blue and icy colors of the family name. Though, I would like it more personally if his eyes were of a different color than his wife's and children, to show the disconnect between them or some shit.
On the matter of all the kids having white hair, I've seen a lot of AUs where Whitley has black hair or half-black hair in his design, signifying a difference between him and his sisters. Maybe in a context, white hair is to show that this offspring of the bloodline is capable to using the hereditary Semblance, and since Whitley doesn't have Glyphs, his design would either visually show his lack of powers or an underlying potential waiting for the right time to fully manifest. Either way, it would show a very interesting storyline he could share with his sisters who he has a lot of issues with.
But sadly, the Atlas Arc wasted their potentials a lot, and any good they did with the family's strained dynamic with each other is immediately washed away by Vol 8 with Weiss literally pointing a loaded weapon at her defenseless brother's face, and Winter just doesn't talk to him at all. Jacques is now dead, Willow is useless, Weiss is getting worse as a character and who knows what the fuck Winter and Whitley is doing.
Sorry for the longer answer than necessary to your ask lol, but this is a topic is one that has irked me for a while and I wanna vent about it in-depth.

And there’s a good many fans and “critics” who actually buy it!
I mean, I can understand it more with Ironwood given the whole “well-meaning heroic man gone unhinged extremist” thing and how poorly done his arc in V8 was. Adam’s moments of genuine kindness or decency were laughably few and far between, yet he’s the misunderstood good guy who Team RWBY should’ve treated better and who only went mad with rage, hatred, and obsession and got himself killed due to “character assassination?” I call Taurusshit!
Not the same picture but similar
Tfw the person you admired and followed and loved (in different ways) turns out to be completely different that you thought. And you realize that and leave them, but they decide to go after you for betraying them. And while they fight you, they start justifying themselves saying that this is not their fault, this your fault and everyone else's for not doing what they say, for not praising them for being heroes.

Weiss Being the problem teammate for SO LONG is crazy like I’m not even just talking about being anti faunas and stuff
She lived somewhere that’s like THE worst place like this is every oppressor and awful take and we’re right about everything and then was living with the worst of that and told it was the best
Despite how good her heart is no amount of good heart or intelligence makes people immune to propaganda or brainwashing like there’s definitely a LOT of bad views she really had to work to find out were actually really bad and wrong and there’s probably some she still has that she just hasn’t noticed or thought about because for the majority of her life it was so normal
Not to make another “Weiss is the best written character” post on my Yang blog but like?? My god
And I say this about a lot of characters but having an older sister would fix her AND IT DID it’s just that winter couldn’t fully be that, I mean she did her part but she just traded one brainwashing for another in the military
(you can’t tell me Yang isn’t the kinda older sister figure that could go “no you can’t say that” and you shut up)
But even without specifically big sister dynamic just the fact that she was accepted into Rwby as family (I’ll make another post about that these are out of order my b💖) is huge in helping her
Like she was abused in her family but she was still its crowning jewel in the family’s crown she was the heir she was its greatest success and the treatment she received was part of that responsibility and honor so it was ok
However in Rwby she was part of the family but she was the black sheep of the family
Blake was an ex terrorist and SHE, Weiss Schnee, was the Black sheep
And YET she was still clearly loved and cared for they still wanted her safe and included they just wanted her to be a decent person and let her become one
Weiss is a lonely character in big house and a big family she was lonely as hell and now she’s in a small dorm with three people who immediately didn’t like her and she’s never been more secure she’s never had such companionship
And she craves to be more accepted and more included and also just to be better and so she becomes better
I just lover her a lot and the little Rwby family
Anyway everyone wish me luck on my English midterm!!!
She’s so funny

Fuck it I guess I'll go first.
Why oh fucking WHY was the Ever After not the fucking AFTERLIFE!!!! Seriously, this would have been so perfect as a fucking arc not only for Ruby and her team encountering the people who had died along the way while helping them grow. Since you know when good ol' MKEK, aka. "We can't write for shit." did say Volume nine was about growth until they double baked for one of the most poorly written depictions of mental health ever. This was so bad that it made Thirteen Reasons Why look good! Yeah I went there!!!
The amount of missed opportunities that was there we could have seen Penny explaining to Ruby why she had to die in order for Winter to get the Maiden Powers proclaiming that it was more suited for her rather than herself.
Weiss reuniting with her grandfather and even standing up to her father again along with her antecedents and descendants that she is her own person now and reinforces it by showing Jacques why he was never worthy of holding up the Schnee title.
A final showdown between Blake and Adam with the inclusion of Spirit Sun (since in Before the Dawn, he said he saw visions of a tree. Pertaining to Yggdrasil which I am calling it that since in Volume nine it was only called the Tree and that was it.) with blake promising that she will try to make humans and faunus try to understand and come together in her own way if she must. While Sienna Khan and the other faunus murdered by humans or anti-faunus rights activists all place the future of the Faunus on both hers and Suns shoulders.
Yang learning from people from Taiyangs bloodline how to control her anger so much so that she even admits that she isnt perfect to Blake and tells her to find someone that will love her more than she. Alluding to Sun as he was there more for her than Yang was, which the two agree in a platonic manner.
Oh and the fact we could get to see a mix of Ancient Remnant peeps, Afterans and even mythological creatures (respectfully since they NEARLY shat the bucket there) Oh and the BIGGEST ONE OF THEM ALL .
RUBY MEETING SUMMER ROSE
Sweet Jesus even up the stakes a little by having their souls fall apart as they travel across the Ever-After in a Race Against Time Arc but at the same time we see their semblances Evolve and Grow against the main villain the Red Queen (Not the Red Prince since I like to think he is cared for by the Curious Cat) and the Curious Cat not being some stupid twist villain again but this time someone who was created by the God of Darkness as one of the only "good" creations he had seen. and at the end the Tree of Yggdrasil gives Ruby and Co.... the biggest question to be answered right in front of them.
A WAY TO BEAT SALEM
Like holy SWEET MOSES it is so easy to do a Journey through the Afterlife Arc while giving the characters more time to flesh out and help them grow.
Hot Take Assessment:
This is a really cool idea actually. Tbh I think what I would’ve done for the Ever After is keep the gang separated for longer than like. Half of the first episode.
Keep yang alone since she was the first to go down. Maybe have that connect to her backstory of being abandoned by Raven. Maybe have Blake & Ruby sticking with each other. Develop more of the bond that the two started to have in V8 bc that was really cute and I’m bummed it kind of went nowhere.
Keep Weiss alone and actually FOCUS ON HER AND DONT MAKE HER INTO COMIC RELIEF and how she deals with the fact that her entire home is just. gone. Also the fact that she was the last one standing after her friends presumably died around her.
The one thing I’d change from V8 here is that none of ORNJ falls. Not in a “Jaune gets too much screen time” way, but in a… it makes the cast less messy for this season, way.
And have Neo in the shadows chasing them around. Maybe even throw in some familiar faces, deceased or otherwise. Some purgatory like thing idk.
I might just make that a fic
TL;DR Ever After should’ve been a lot less Alice in Wonderland (because they somehow made wonderland boring :() and a lot more Avatar’s Swamp episode.

An experiment at Beacon (courtesy of new material from Atlas) goes wrong and Jaune ends up stranded in an alternate Remnant. I still don't know if the story will be or not.
Ozpin and Salem: The story is slightly different. Salem is not part of Grimm but she is still immortal. The fight still happened here but instead of all her daughters dying, they stopped because of her youngest daughter crying. After this, there was a sort of truce where they separated but they were allowed their daughters to spend time with them, rotating the time some days they spent with Salem and others with Ozma. Basically, it was the first divorce in history. They are still immortal, but unlike the canon, they did not bother leave to everything hidden. The world knows about them, but they are also in a type of cold truce due to the last words of their youngest daughter who died of old age. Salem fulfilled her desire to become a ruler with delusions of a god by ruling a portion of the valley. She kept her magic, which people would see as a goddess. She is strict but fair. Ozpin continues to be the director of Beacon and Ozma's current guest. The difference is that the possession is not as drastic as in canon, being more of a type of split personality.
Ruby: Silver eyes have the same characteristics as the canon, but here her family, knowing that she was a target, trained her since she was little. She is a little more distressed than the common Ruby as her possible life expectancy is short, ironically this drives her to try to establish closer relationships. She actually doesn't like guns because she knows how easy it can end a life with them and she enjoys mystery novels and crackers more. Weiss: Her childhood was just as hard on him, but all that together gave her a hatred for her last name to the point that she doesn't want to know anything. It's the typical version of Bleiss being rude, perverted, and bad-mouthed. Just like the Standard Weiss didn't like her Jaune, but she is attracted to Canon!Jaune. They like animals that are fiercer and wilder than tender and adorable, she likes to sing metal and has a better relationship with her Blake and is much more open with her team and don't miss the opportunity to let them know you care.
Blake: The White Fang was in fact a military organization of the great war and in order to try to clear the name of the Faunus, she started making podcasts and songs that escalated until she became a mini-idol who carries her anti-racism message. How could they see is a type of reference to Felicia this arises because unlike the normal Blake, who tries to go unnoticed and has her emo ninja theme, this one is more direct and optimistic, as well as being the center of attention, her clothing is more similar to recent volumes and actually likes more romantic novels.
Yang: Here things were not very different. Her mother abandoned her, Summer died, and Tai was left in a depression. However, there was the idea that Ruby, what was left of her family, was in danger, and because of this she trained at a young age. In order to keep her safe, after that she became her training partner-teacher, she is much more cool-headed and strict almost like another Winter. She is more reserved and almost shy as a result of her training alone. Instead of going out, she prefers an afternoon playing checkers to a dance or bar and although his relationship is not so strong emotionally with Ruby, they still love each other.
Jaune: The Arc family is in fact more influential here. Similar to the Schnee, there is an heir so they tend to compete at an early age to earn their place. Due to this, their relationship with their sisters is not the best, seeing themselves more as rivals, similar to Weiss and her brother. Jaune is stronger because he had real training, he is egocentric, proud, and while normal Jaune is a better strategist who drives his team, this one does not care if they get hurt in order to win and is more manipulative than inspiring. Instead of being an "asmereir", he is very respected but his team can't stand him, but he doesn't care. I think that being the leader is enough and he prefers to have fruit for breakfast instead of cereal.
Pyrrha: Instead of being the fair and good girl athlete, she is a juvenile delinquent. She is more similar to a generic bad guy from WWC, although she has not cheated, she has been disqualified in tournaments for her history and brutality, being nicknamed the "Fall Champion." She is much more cruel, sadistic and violent. Ironically, she has no problems getting people to relate to her because her quarrel-seeking attitude attracts people more, she even has an entourage from Haven, she extremely hates her bastard leader, but she likes the guy from the other world better and the only thing she regrets about her reputation is not being able to be Punkin Pete's mascot.
Ren and Nora: There is not much to say. Their story is that Kuroyuri herself fell and they were the only ones who were saved. Nora was resentful of the world that turned its back on her when she was just a child. She is much more sarcastic and cynical. She thinks, Goth Nora herself, she is a type of tsundere, she shows her affection by being hostile towards the people she cares about, like Ren. She prefers waffles and is the first person to jump in and calm things down when they get out of control, such as when an apparent alternate version of Lu, believed to be the leader, comes along. Ren, after almost dying at such a young age, developed a type of life-only-once mentality. He enjoys exercising and posting it on the networks, getting a tan, preparing and drinking protein shakes. He likes to stand out and is somewhat intrepid, bordering on crazy he thinks about Jonny Cage (Mortal Kombat), when he saw another version of jaune he wanted to punch him in the face because he thought he was just as bastard. This is the typical story where the character ends up in an AU where he meets counterparts of his friends, beyond the general idea I have nothing planned, he clarified that in fact I have not seen much of the show, I was interested in seeing at one point but then came volume 7 and 8 and I lost it, most of my knowledge is fanfic and tumblr, if you want to help or give ideas I will appreciate it.
----------
I had to split up the translation because Google says "It has too many characters~! 3900 is my limit~!" But, eh, I found a way. Clearly, I am superior in every way.
Enough joking around.
Salem and Ozpin being the world's first divorce isn't technically new, but it being one that ISN'T messy is pretty cool to me. Imagine they actually went the divorce route and it was still as messy as the show makes it out to be. It could probably be the reason Remnant doesn't have divorce, everyone fearing the same happening to their families.
Ruby being trained harder because she has silver eyes is very... Honestly, it's a very sad idea. She wasn't allowed to be a kid and basically was told from the start "You are going to die a horrible death UNLESS you train harder than anyone else". Her not liking guns is also pretty sad since this is such a stark contrast to her original character, but that's the point, though, isn't it? Her loving mystery over romance is a nice touch, though. Very distinct difference. I can see her inversely not taking a mystery seriously because she she's taking it too seriously like her books.
Weiss I'm seeing a bit of a mixed bag of characters. The first one that comes to mind is the Hinata from the Naruto Shippuden movie where Naruto and Sakura go to an inverse Konoha where Kiba hates dogs and wishes he was a cat, Sasuke is a playboy, and Hinata is a foul-mouthed promiscuous woman.
Blake being a pop-idol against racism is such an adorable concept. Although, what I'm thinking of now is that meme where a kid grows up watching a superhero say "Do not be racist" and agreeing and the next scene is that same superhero and the kid is now an adult, same message, and the adult screams that it's woke propaganda. Being a symbol of anti-racism will draw some unwanted attention, especially if you're a celebrity.
Yang actually doesn't sound all that different from her canon counterpart. The only difference I can see is that she's more cool, calm, collected, probably because of that "die a horrible death" thing I mentioned. Her choosing to not engage the party girl life for being a good role model for her sister shows she's very mature for her age.
Jaune is- Ooh! I already hate him! Having him trained from the start, like so many people complain about him AND then having him be basically like Weiss in V1 is such a fun thing to do! Like, I can already imagine the back and forth between Jaune and Jaune. It's a classic anime nemesis story, one being weaker but good of heart while the other is stronger but rotten to the core. I love this idea and I can't wait to see where you go with this!
Pyrrha being a delinquent is a... I won't say cute, even though it is. Also, I like that you slipped in that the cereal mascot is Punkin' Pete, which I'm imagining is a punk rock rabbit. Her being the "Fall Champion" is also a neat idea that I'd love to see explored. To be honest, I'm imagining delinquent Pyrrha made by FatallyObsessed.
Ren and Nora swapping personalities is such a neat idea. Ren cheerfully shouting "Imma deck you in the schnozz" at Jaune while Nora basically being the team mom is just... Chef's kiss. I love it.
Thank you for sharing your idea. I HIGHLY recommend watching the show. I'll admit, V7 and V8 are THE WORST volumes, but they also have some really great moments and soundtracks that you shouldn't miss. Just... gotta grit your teeth and bear it. But yeah, I am super interested in seeing where this story goes and I'd love to see what you do with it!

RWBY fans will be like "RWBY is so progressive," and then go on to say things like "Isn't it great that the white racist billionaire CEO who married into the family and therefore didn't possess the passed on through blood magical powers and actually had naturally black hair instead of naturally white hair was treated like he didn't matter and wasn't a real threat?" and "The actual descendants of the celebrated hero Nicholas Schnee who started the whole Schnee fortune and originated the whole 'SDC drains Vacuo of resources while building itself into the fabric of society' thing rightfully wish to break away from Jacques the usurper and go back to old Nick Schnee's ways." And "Weiss wishes to reclaim her family name since she's a real Schnee and would be a good billionaire. Weiss wasn't always perfect because she was horribly anti-Faunus to our two main faunus characters, but she's still best girl because she graciously forgives Blake for having once been part of a civil rights group and later on a dime decides to start doing things like standing up for Blake when she's being discriminated against and apologizing for her ancestors - why would she apologize for her own past actions? That was like, so many volumes ago!" And "Weiss educated herself and deconstructed her anti-faunus beliefs somewhere along the way off-screen because why would that have to be shown?" And "See, Weiss wants to change the image of the SDC that her father created, she vaguely speaks of his 'moral gray area,' and we know she wants to make things like they were with her capitalist hero grandfather and isn't it so fun that he's based off of Santa?" And "Weiss was devastated when her father said she won't get to become a billionaire CEO herself, but it's okay because we know she was really meant to be a badge carrying law enforcement officer like her older sister who shares her hereditary semblance." And "Ironwood squeezed Mantle until it broke, Jacques and the SDC and Nicholas Schnee had nothing to do with it. All those problems with Mantle were because of Ironwood alone. Weren't you all listening to Winter when she said that?" And "Weiss and her family sadly lost their fortune, but it's okay because Weiss gives a speech about how she knows her true purpose as a badge carrying law enforcement officer, defined by the good they do and how they always help people - What's that? Copaganda? No, no, see Hunters are good badge carrying law enforcement officers because they answer to no one."
Like???? Where's that picture about how the propaganda in media does wonders on people? Anyways, the propaganda in media does wonders on some of you RWBY fans. Like, I like Weiss a lot as a character concept, but please I am begging y'all to see past her princess look and angel wings - or actually, think about why she has a princess look and angelic imagery - and realize that maybe Rooster Teeth Inc former higher up Miles "reportedly said the n word as like a twenty six year old" Luna might've fucked up the dang show.

After the news of Rooster Teeth’s death, I decided to remake this post of Ruby telling the tale of RWBY+J’s time in the Ever After to the Remnant Alliance as another dose of RWBY positivity, once again inspired by this post by @pmpknsoup.
———————————————————————————
(In Theodore’s office in Shade Academy at early evening, Team RWBY and Jaune Arc face the main members of the Remnant Alliance, consisting of Team JNPR plus Oscar Pine and Ozpin, Team STRQ, the Ace-Ops, the Happy Huntresses, Winter Schnee, Team SSSNN, Emerald Sustrai, Team CFVY, Whitley Schnee, Willow Schnee, Klein Sieben, Maria Calavera, Dr. Pietro Polendina, Ghira Belladonna, Kali Belladonna, Ilia Amitola, Bartholomew Oobleck, Peter Port, Glynda Goodwitch, Theodore, Xanthe Rumpole, and Zwei.)
RUBY: Listen. Thanks, everyone, for your patience. It took a while to figure out how to tell you, and I know being left in the dark about our whereabouts over the remainder of the winter, the whole spring, and the summer has left you anxious, but now, I’ve decided it’s time to reveal what’s been going on. Miss Robyn Hill, I’ll need your Semblance to prove all of this correct.
ROBYN: Uh, okay.
(Robyn steps away from the group, removes her glove, and joins hands with Ruby. Her Semblance turns on and glows green with every piece of information Ruby gives.)
ROBYN: So what happened in the pocket dimension?
RUBY: Well, after I fell, I regained consciousness on a beach surrounded by giant seashells. I tried to hone in on a giant tree, but just ended up looping in circles. Eventually, I had to stop, then found a mouse trying to pull a plant out of the ground. I pulled the plant out for the mouse and fed them a cheese. Then Yang came barreling out, already fighting the creature while missing her arm.
WEISS: Did not.
RUBY: Our hands are glowing green, Weiss. Robyn’s Semblance never fails. Then we went to the village in the Crimson Acre to barter with the Jinxy Peddler, who had stolen Yang’s arm, or “took something we weren’t looking at”, according to Little.
EMERALD: You met the Jinxy Peddler?
VELVET: Was he cute?
WEISS: Yeah.
The soldiers followed us to arrest us for stealing Yang’s arm, or “royal property”, before I traded Penny’s sword, with a story of her being the greatest warrior to ever live.
NORA: The Curious Kitty?!
REN: Were they as chatty as the book made them out to be?
RUBY: Mm-hm. Not to mention easily distracted. Anyway, they took us to look for ingredients for a Growgurt Parfait in the Garden Acre, and we told them our life story, then they briefly distracted me with questions about how I’m supposed to save the world now that Salem has two out of four Relics and that Atlas is gone, making me lose them over and over again. After the third time, we met an herbalist, a caterpillar named Herb who seemed to be asking us questions to figure out what medicine he needed to make to help us. Reasonable, as too little medicine is useless, but too much medicine is toxic. Eventually Herb just decided to smoke a hookah for a bit and drugged us with leaves that made us see our past selves tempting us to “go back”. To be free. To be simple. To be whole. To be different. The other girls rejected and had already accepted their failures as something to learn from, but I almost gave in, before the Cat stopped me, then got Herb swallowed by a hole in the ground.
TAI: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Back up. You guys did drugs?
QROW: Don’t let alcoholism be next, girls.
RUBY: Anyway, the Cat led us to a market to keep looking for the Parfait ingredients. Along the way, they told us about a process that occurs when an Afteran is no longer doing the assigned role that they are supposed to be, triggered by them losing their ways, wearing out, doubting themselves, or even just finishing their assigned tasks, upon which they are taken to the Great Tree and repurposed into someone or something else with a new identity, personality, and role. Their memories are erased in the process, but the heart very rarely forgets. They don’t die. They ascend.
(Such a concept catches the interest of the gang.)
REMNANT ALLIANCE: Ooh.
RUBY: And then, the market was attacked by Jabberwalkers using Neopolitan’s Semblance. Yeah, Neopolitan fell with us, too.
(The members of the Alliance who know who Neo was grow worried.)
Anyway, we had all of the ingredients for the Parfait, and the girls grew back to normal size just as we got assistance from the Rusted Knight riding his white rabbit.
NORA: Oh, my Gods, Jaune!
(Everyone’s hearts melt, all proud for the Bees.)
REMNANT ALLIANCE: Aww!
NORA: See, Ren? I told you there was more going on!
KALI: Our baby girl found love?
TAI: With my sunny little dragon?
RAVEN: Wow. She really is your daughter, Tai.
RUBY: Then the Cat bailed on us after mistaking us for selfishly using them to get home, and once the storm passed, Jaune let us spend the night in his house in the Origami Acre, then he introduced us the next morning to a village of paper stars called the Paper Pleasers whose purpose was finished and kept trying to go to the Tree to gain a new purpose, but Jaune had been stopping them for as long as he knew them. He also named them after all of us. On Jaune’s to-do list, I saw Ren, Ruby, Oscar, Nora, Neptune, and Pyrrha. Anyway, a Paper Pleaser told us that Jaune had nothing to worry about, that the Tree isn’t death, it’s rebirth. They were just listening to Jaune so as to not hurt his feelings. Then Neo’s Jabberwalkers attacked, and while we were distracted, the Paper Pleasers finally managed to off themselves via destroying the koi pond dam, then when the girls asked me to help comfort Jaune, I blew up at them for caring more about everyone else’s feelings or getting home, taking my mental health for granted and ignoring my problems…
(Everyone leans in anxiously. Things are getting even more interesting, but not in a good way.)
(Weiss, Blake, Yang, and Jaune exchange looks of guilt.)
RUBY: …then I ran away, came across the Abandoned Acre, and entered a random mansion, where Neo had made clone illusions of Roman Torchwick, Penny, Pyrrha, Professor Lionheart, Clover, Ozpin, and Ironwood, and used them to physically and psychologically abuse me, beating me up ruthlessly and blaming me for their deaths, and when the chaos was over, I felt no will to live or be myself anymore, not helped by Torchwick’s question: “Do you really think you can stand to watch more of your friends fall? Or are you ready to admit the truth, that the world would just be better off without you?”
(The gang regards Ruby with sorrow over her being trampled by her trauma. Ozpin can be heard sniffling.)
RUBY: Then Neo offered me tea made from leaves from the Tree intended to wipe me from existence, then the Cat blasted her away, but then turned out to be evil and tried to possess me, while revealing that they had been trying to wear me down, then Neo fought them off and stomped Little to death, then I finally gave in, drank the tea, offing myself, and got swallowed by the Tree.
REMNANT ALLIANCE (walla): Summer?…Summer Rose?…The previous silver-eyed Huntress?…That’s Summer Rose’s daughter?
RUBY: Yeah. And then, I finally remembered my mom’s words, “I love you just the way you are,” and chose to be myself. And I. Came. Back, and helped the girls fight the Cat. And we won.
(Cheers and applause all around.)
RUBY: And then Neo killed the Cat with the Jabberwalkers, who, by the way, are the only creatures to prevent Ascension if they eat Afterans.
BLAKE: On my count, there were a whopping five of them.
REMNANT ALLIANCE (walla): Five?…Five of them?…Five Jabberwalkers?
(Everyone laughs at the Brother Gods basically being kicked out of the house by their “mommy”. Some Gods they are.)
YANG: (wiping a tear) Oh, my Gods, that’s such a hilarious way of looking at it. Thanks, Nora.
RUBY: Anyway, the Blacksmith told us that we have impacted the Ever After significantly; just like Somewhat, Alyx, and Lewis, and that the Cat caused a bad impact.
REMNANT ALLIANCE (walla): Yes!…Great!…Alright!…Thank goodness…Welcome back, Ruby…Good to have you back, kid…Way to go, Ruby!…That’s my girl!
YANG: We’re so proud of you, Ruby.
RUBY: Thanks, guys. You and your support mean the world to me. And I’m just as proud to call you guys family. All of you.
(Everyone looks at Ruby with warmed hearts.)

RWBY isn’t anti-abuse victim, FFS
Still not sure how people ended up reaching the conclusion of “RWBY has a bad message because it makes victims of abuse and neglect into villains.”
Like bruh, okay, I’ll grant you that Salem, Cinder, Mercury, Adam, and Neo were subject to some pretty shitty treatment early in life, and this at least in part made them who they are today.
But all four of the titular protagonists were also victims of abuse and/or neglect.
Ruby and Yang had to fend for themselves after Tai was unable to deal with his grief from losing Raven and Summer in quick succession. While other parts of the show’s lore imply that Tai recovered at some point after Yang’s first attempt to find Raven ended in disaster, or at least he had good days as well as bad ones, Yang still had to step into her parents’ role for a while.
And that’s just what applies to both of them. Yang gets a double-whammy as well, because Remnant’s Third Worst Mum over there decided to dip almost as soon as she was born.
Weiss, meanwhile, gets to deal with an abusive shitheel of a father who decided it was a great idea to say the quiet part out loud and admit that he only married Willow for her name and money on their younger daughter’s birthday. Jacques is both verbally and physically abusive, and remains unassailable due to his wealth, power, and friendship with the kingdom’s ruler, until he got caught doing election fraud.
She’s also got to deal with Willow’s coping mechanism being alcoholism, and how self-destructive she became during her lower days (as seen in the DC comics). Like with Tai, this is more a case of the parent’s (understandable) inability to deal with their own trauma inducing more trauma in the next generation, but it’s still something she had to endure.
And then there’s Blake. Blake who was in the region of 12-14 when she was groomed by an older man, and trapped in an abusive relationship until shortly before she became an adult. And after she escaped, her abuser tracked her down, burned her new life to the ground, stabbed her in the gut and maimed her new partner/lover, before ordering a hit on her parents and subsequently stalking her across Anima and forcing her and Yang into a fight to the death.
Blake had it pretty fuckin’ rough.
And hey, that’s just our four main leads. How about their allies?
Well, let’s start with Nora. She had Remnant’s Second Worst Mum, and presumably also its Second Worst Dad, who abandoned her on the streets of a random village.
And hey, how ‘bout the rest of the Schnee family? Winter and Whitley were in functionally the same situation as Weiss. And Willow obviously also had to deal with being married to Jacques, something that fucked her life up completely. Oh, but let’s go for one more. Oz. Oz, who’s second go-around at life ended with him being burned to death by his own wife, after a battle where he saw all four of their children also die. Oz, who has then spent the following centuries constantly coming back, and occasionally being murdered by his ex-wife’s followers. Oz, the shambling mass of scar tissue, stumbling around in the approximate shape of a man, because he was manipulated into agreeing to a shitty deal by an arrogant god, and he decided that maybe killing all of humanity and replacing them with his and Salem’s kids wasn’t a good idea.
Bonus addition: Emerald. She’s new to our protagonists, and we don’t have a huge amount of information about her backstory compared to the others, but it’s very apparent that she was also an orphan when Cinder found her. Whether that’s in the traditional sense or the “They went out for cigarettes ten years ago” sense, I’m not sure, but if it’s the latter, that’s one more for the list.
RWBY isn’t condemning abuse victims by depicting them as monsters. It has significantly more good-aligned characters who endured abuse. What RWBY does do is make villains of those who perpetuate the cycle.
Salem was abused, but ended up killing her husband and kids. Villain. Cinder was abused, and now gleefully executes teenagers for kicks. Villain. Adam endured horrible treatment under the SDC, and then went on to groom and abuse someone who was still a child when he started. Villain. Mercury and Neo are more up in the air at the moment, but I genuinely think both of them will be redeemed by the end of the series. The same may even happen for Cinder and Salem, but I’m less certain about that. Frankly I can never tell what the writers want Cinder to be.
We have abuse victims who became heroes and abuse victims who became villains, and the difference between them is that the latter category are currently opting to make it everyone else’s problem. But as we’ve seen with Emerald, those choices aren’t set in stone.
To quote something else that gave its hero and villain similar trauma:
“There is a difference between you and me: We both looked into the abyss, but when it looked back, you blinked.”

a meroleona.
Hmm, well if I were to do a Black Clover Crossover the most important thing would be if I used magic or not... After all each character's magic tends to have one common element/ denominator.
So they could easily be semblances excuse wise... Which leads into Asta. Anti-Aura while sounding stupid as hell would be OP. Or... What if instead he still has Anti-Magic.
Having Anti-Magic means he can break Salem's curse...
If I were to do it, Asta would be a Orphan from Ansel but with a wildly different upbringing since I can see him, Yuno and Jaune being friends. Asta is one of the few kids who actually wants to be his friend instead of getting close to his sisters. The irony being I can see a few of the sisters liking Asta.
Yuno would be aurically proficient, where Jaune would train with Asta. Since there are no Grimoires I can see Jaune giving one of his family heirlooms to his best friends to use. The mentality being the weapon were made to protect people not to be shown off and look pretty.
Hence this is how Asta would get his first sword, where's Yuno.
Now as for Vanessa, yeah her and Qrow would be drinking buddies, but also Yami. I can also see Yami being Qrows best friend, as the big guy to this day says his semblance doesn't matter.
If Qrow's luck puts him in a bad spot he'll just have to surpass his limits and find a way outta it.
Charlotte would probably be Atlesian and yes I can easily see her being a specialist alongside Nozel. Honestly I'd say House Silva would be relatives to the Schnee but nobody knows which was the ancestral family of the two.
Meroleona would be in Vacuo, and I can see her hunting Raven in her spare time for a good fight. She would definitely figure out said woman's a Maiden but not give a damn and wanna fight her anyways

It's not secret that I've been working on building up a handful of new RWBY fics. Nor has it been a secret what they're about. But I thought it'd be fun to revel in the excitement a bit and gather up all the information to let you vote on what you're most excited for too!
This probably won't have any impact on what order I write things. But don't you wanna share excitement? So vote, ask a question, drop a message! But first, make sure you read all the information about each fic!
If you aren't interested, then please just don't vote. Thank you.

There’s no hope of hiding the early magic, but maybe they, their older sister, Yang, and their guardian, Little, can keep the rest of Ruby’s secrets hidden. Like their unnatural silver eyes, locked behind a glamour to look a plain grey. Or their natural intuition to magic, which is harder to hide. Yet, at Beacon, Ruby’s focus doesn’t stay on their own problems for long. Instead, Ruby finds themself following after Weiss Schnee, a fellow sproutling that Ruby suspects is in danger. When they discover how much danger Weiss is in, they vow to find a way to help her, no matter what. As Ruby, Yang, and their new friends slip deeper into the darkness of Remnant’s hex-filled underworld, they’ll learn that Weiss isn’t the only one in danger. Men, monsters, and malignant magic vie to see who can destroy the world first, but only if Ruby and their friends can’t find a way to stop them.
