they hate eachother. dabi tried to kill him, and theres just literally no chemistry between them. if they ever DID get into a realationship it would be horribly unhealthy. also i think dabi is too obsessed with his dad to want a relationship. (hawks idolizing his abuser does not help)

didn't realize this was a ship untill recently. gross. sure, they were buddy buddy but ONLY because hawks was trying to get info out of him. hawks liked him as a person / thought he was better then the rest of the villans but twice was set in his ways, so it would never work. also hawks like actually killed him.

literally VOMITS oh my god i hate bakudeku. bakugo is horribly written and the ship itself is so unrealistic. bakugo bullied and abused izuku for 10 YEARS STRAIGHT. TEN YEARS. even with bakugo's "character development" its still really bad. the closest i can see them being is pals.

i think this might actually be worse then bakudeku on a logistic level. they both DESPISE eachother. bakugo canonly thinks he's the spawn of Satan. please just let enemies be enemies dear lord.

I can't believe i even have to mention this one but i had a very interesting situation back when i was active on twitter where ALL of my mutuals thought that this shit was morally okay and i had to block all of them. thats a minor x an adult. i thought we established that freshman x seniors is fucking gross what is WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE. "oh but its only a two year age gap-" WRONG!!! its a 2 and a half year age gap. people seem to forget that teenage brains develop really fucking fast that even though the age gap is only 2 and a half years the MATURITY GAP IS HUGE. also, normal fucking 18+ yr olds DO NOT like dating people under 17 (some of them ive talked to, like my brother, said that even 17 is iffy and heavily depends on how mature they are). also, if we completely ignore the age + maturity gap, their personalities clash. tamaki would probably be fucking bat shit terrified of monoma due to how eccentric he is. also they havn't interacted in canon ONCE. this one is also basically a proship.

This is nice! I love the switching quirks for 24-hours idea. I can't remember seeing this variation of it before. It's usually both soulmates being able to use the others quirks - not a full swap.

I'm sure it has to be weird for people with mutant quirks when they switch like Dabi and Hawks did here. Imagine having to grow whole new limbs or body parts to accompany the swap. Just Dabi having to grow all those mutations sounded painful, and I'm sure some experience harsher changes.

And don't get me started on the surgeries! The commission wins the 'asshole-of-the-year-award' (as usual) for forcing a kid to go through unnecessary surgery to live up to their discriminatory ideals. And then, to expect him to get the surgeries AGAIN if he ever did meet his soulmate and make him apologize to them as if expecting his soulmate would hate his mutations just because they do! Unforgivable.

Observant Dabi for the win. He immediately and easily notices issues in Hawk's behavior. Like his tendency to put everyone else first. Or his obsession with being useful.

I think what I hate most about dabihawks is how many people just think it’s canon or universally liked. I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve been reading a fic and just stumbled across it. A lot of the time it is untagged, too! That defeats the whole purpose of tags and why we have them. I have every version of the ship name blocked on every platform and yet it is still there. Just because something is popular doesn’t mean everyone ships it. I didn’t even hate the ship at first, I just didn’t get why it’s so popular. Now, I absolutely hate it.

I’m writing a hotwings fic in which Hawks is literally stuck to Dabi and they’re staying with the LoV (ignoring MHL for simplicity and my own sanity) and Shouto is Hawks’ new work study chick. It’s also slow burn and gradual revelations, and many angst upcoming.

So what I need from y’all is more ideas on what should happen! My brain is only so large lol. Hotwings, Hawks & LoV, Hawks & Shouto scene prompts and the like. Ranging from all kinds of things but not smutty, although Hawks is a shameless flirt. Also Rei’s husband hate ideas as well.

Review: My favorite MHA soulmate fic and one of my favorite fics period. Hawks sees the worst day of Dabi's life (his past); Dabi sees what seems to be Hawks' best (his future). They both see exactly what they needed to see in order to give each other a true chance at being soulmates. Also, now Hawks can finally calm it on the Endeavor obsession after seeing what he's really like. These two fucking deserve each other. Endeavor can go die in a literal fire.

So I’m not going to touch the subject of Dabi and Hawks as a sexual/romantic couple, because y’all can go and ship whatever you want.

But have you considered exploring the dynamics of them as rivals/enemies? I think it’s very interesting. They oppose each other in so many important ways, and their similarities just highlight these differences. First of all, the most obvious example of them as foils--one’s a villain, and one’s a hero, both with directly-opposing goals, one to tear down current hero society and one to try to build it up.

Next, Hawks is basically a fan of Endeavor. He seems to think his outlook and way of doing things as a hero is more appealing than All Might’s. Whereas Dabi follows Stain’s ideology and absolutely despises heroes like Endeavor. Hawks literally takes the initiative to hang out work with Endeavor, and their dynamic resembles that of a father and son or protege. A replacement, a stand-in for the position Dabi rejects or possibly was rejected from in the past.

They’re most likely about to face each other down, and I personally hope such aspects will be explored.

3. Who has awful taste in music?Despite popular belief, it’s Hawks. Dabi has somehow good taste of music, rock and that kind of stuff but Hawks’ taste in music is all over the place. He’s going to jump from Lady Gaga to fucking Cotton Eye Joe and it’s driving Dabi crazy.

10. What do their parents think of them dating?AKJHGALFG YOU HAD TO ASK!Alright… I think Hawks parents don’t approve. At. All. They love the money Hawks’ job brings to him and especially to them so they often ask for money and when they find out about Hawks’ affair, they feel like this amazing job Hawks has is threatened. Of course, they don’t tell him that. They tell him he can do better and that they are worried about his safety because Dabi is a villain.

Dabi’s parents. Endeavor.. doesn’t care much that his son is dating Hawks, he wouldnt care no matter who he would date. What he does care is that if Hawks dates Dabi could mean he’s traitor.

Rei on the other hand is so happy because finally, someone loves her son and looks after him when she feels like she didn’t.

26. What songs do they sing together in the vehicle?Probably some stupid, cheesy songs Hawks would be the one to start singing with Dabi eventually rolling his eyes and joining him. Something like “I knew you were trouble” or omg “Fuck her gently” by Tenacious D with changing the pronouns haha

32. What type of dragon would they own, if they could have one?Cockatrice. Without question. Hawks calls it Chicken Nugget.

61. What do they usually text about?Dabi is not the type to text at all. When he does, it’s all fucking memes that make Hawks either angry or crack up when he’s at the agency.

How do they comfort each other when they are helpless to do anything about the situation?Dabi craves comfort but he never really lets Hawks comfort him at all so most of the the time, Hawks just sits by Dabi’s side, knowing that just his presence is enough for Dabi. At the rare times, Dabi lets his head rest on Hawks’ shoulder on his chest and lets Hawks play with his hair. It’s always wordless comfort.

Hawks is completely different. When there is something on his mind, he talks about it a lot. Dabi listens to it all, trying to give him advice. After the initial rent, even if Dabi can’t do really anything, Hawks clings on Dabi like an octopus.

93. What is their favourite board game to play?Shōgi. They are both smart and come up with amazing strategies how to outplay one another. Both of them usually win equally but sometimes they let each other win. The winner tops for the night.
