Taylor Swift and Beyonce are not that good of singers. They are actually worse than some of the ones that are up and coming.

Adele sings better than them.

I used to like Taylor but now I don't even listen to her songs. I still listen to some of Beyonce's but even she is getting to where I just don't listen.

They aren't the best.

totally respect people tearing Taylor down after that subpar album but I’d like to take this space to hype up other female artists who haven’t completely drained their creative wells. Welcome to C’s music recs (women only because disliking Taylor doesn’t make you a misogynist.)

1. Cowboy Carter. Oh my god. This woman never misses. Beyoncé is consistently fantastic no matter what she’s up to. My personal favorites are AMERIICAN REQUIEM, PROTECTOR, and 16 CARRIAGES. This album feels a bit like listening to the radio while also listening to someone’s life story and it’s goddamn insane.

2. I listened to Feminomenon for the first time yesterday and I was jamming so hard. Yes Chappell Roan I too will prioritize my own wants and needs over the attention of some mediocre man who does not deserve me thank you queen. Like seriously I can’t stand clubbing but now I want to go out clubbing just so that I can dance to this song with my friends.

3. One of three songs that I actually enjoy on TTPD is Florida!!! And it’s only because of Florence. Because holy shit, Florence. I’ve become unhealthfully obsessed with Dream Girl Evil, Ship to Wreck, Shake It Out, Big God and Hunger.

4. Olivia Rodrigo continues to kill it. If my future relationship isn’t like so american, I don’t want it. And I know it’s been a while but Can’t Catch Me Now is still on my Heavy Rotation Replay every single week.

5. This is preemptive but…. New Billie Eilish in a month?????? Hell yes????

A lot of swifties tonight losing their shit because Taylor didn’t win anything and being r*cist towards Beyonce claiming her album wasn’t really country and that she must have paid people off. If they thing the academy can be bought that easily, it’s interesting how that mind set doesn’t apply to their billionaire who can also pay the academy off if she really wanted to.

I'm seeing people say that Beyonce paid for her Grammy. If that's the case then why didn't she pay for all the other times she got snubbed? If it's that easy then other artists would pay money too for the win. I'm seeing people say that Beyonce's CC wasn't good even though they also admit within the same breath that they never listened to it. Which is it? Did you actually listen to the album and have solid critiques or did you never listen to it and just want to hate that your fave DIDN'T WIN?

Beyonce's CC won because it was the most impactful. She had people of all creeds, colors, races, nationalities bumping it. People who never fucked with country music gave the genre a chance. The album taught Black History to those that don't know where country originated from. Yes, Beyonce has other albums that should've won AOTY, but the actual Grammys judges/voters preferred CC over all of them, including Billie's and other singers etc.

I listen to all genres. I know people who listen to all genres. We all know more about Beyonce's music over the other girlies. It was everywhere besides Kendrick's and Doechii's. Those are the big 3 of 2024 that made cultural movements worldwide which is why they all won. And just because you say you're not Anti Black doesn't proof anything cuz how you act lets Black people know you're not a safe person for our community to associate with.

So, I'm curious as to what Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift did for you to hate them so much, because as far as I know and in all the years I've been following them, I've never once seen any of those women do anything bad or anything that destroys the planet or that warrants calling them evil and bad people. As for your point that talent and hard work doesn't get you a net worth, or that it's impossible for famous and rich people to be good people, you're completely wrong about that. You don't know anything about anything.

And people like you aren't exactly progressive either, with this bullying mob mentality you have of trying to get people cancelled, trying to force your ways and views on others, harassing them if they don't agree with you, and telling them who they should and shouldn't stan. How about you mind your own business and stop being a gatekeeper and let people enjoy what they like and stan whoever they want? I completely agree with you about The Kardashians, JK Rowling, and Jay Z though. Those three can fuck off completely and fucking choke! And you should keep the same energy for people like P. It is inherently unethical to be a billionaire. There is no way to become a billionaire without partaking in the exploitative immorality of late-stage capitalism. Just one example is Rihanna's use of child-labour to produce Fenty products. Taylor Swift is among the top celebrity air polluters. Hard work and talent cannot get you the sheer amount of wealth that totals to one billion dollars.

"You don't know anything about anything." Yes, and I'm also sure 100+ years of Marxist theory means nothing, right? I beg you to please read a book. I don't believe you're college-aged based on your language, but at least try.

"You shouldn't tell random people who they should or should not stan." Wrong! It is completely feasible to criticize who people idolize or not, especially when we're talking about economics and morals! These are not "stranger celebrities" but are a part of the fabric of our society's pop-cultural foundation. It is not only acceptable but good to criticize the workings of the rich and powerful, as this is how we undo the systemic inequalities they ultimately perpetuate.

I could not care less about football, but watching Swift getting booed and Kendrick Lamar making history on the same night and screen was the cherry on top after the unexpected justice at the Grammys. THAT's what an artist who has reached the top should do: daring new things, giving voice to the less powerfull, taking risks less famous artists cant afford. Like Beyonce, who wont stop breaking new grounds and experimenting, like K-Dot who's always been political and wont let that go to waste, and just delivered a powerful homage to Black history and Black resistence right in front of Trump. And what does Taylor Swift, a billionare, 20 years into her carreer, do? Nothing but petty disputes and trite reprised themes. What a waste of economical and social capital.

She's a disappointment for sure.
