Fandom Problem #10,161:

When I was a kid fandoms meant going to con or forums and no real social media. I don't recall anyone telling people to kill themselves. Im sure it happened but fucking hell it certainly wasnt everywhere all of the time. Very little performative activism and so much less hostility in general too. We need to bring this back.

One thing I really love about Phineas and Ferb is it's depiction of divorce and step-family.

Phineas and Ferb are step-brothers yet that never takes away from the fact that they vehemently care about each other and are best friends. This includes Candace and Ferb as well.

Also, Phineas and Candace see Lawrence as their dad, and Candance (Despite being relatively older when Linda and Lawrence got together) calls him dad.

I'm not saying that mixed families are always bad, but in media I feel like it's always seen as lesser or there's just no representation for it. So I just really like it. (Also divorce is a very dear topic to me, since my own parents are divorced and my mom's parents are divorced, leading to my grandpa being not technically being my grandpa by blood relation)

I also like how Charlene and Doof are handled in that regard, because it's just so good. Neither of them talk bad about each other to Vanessa and are always seen getting a long with each other which is just so nice and refreshing.

It irritates me when people act like writing is like a technology and it gets improved upon with every new iteration, so all writing of the past is worse than all modern writing. That's not how it works. Things are written for their era, but that doesn't make them bad or useless, it just makes them different from things written for the current era.
