you honestly don’t need to like every queer character that exists, and i truly mean it. at the end of the day, if you don’t like them, you have every right to. but you don’t get to say they are bad representation simply because you don’t related to them. not every character will appeal to you, but that doesn’t make them a bad representation. feel free to critique them and their personalities, it’s your right to, but don’t be a jerk about their queerness unless they are falling under a harmful stereotype.
some people take it on the next leave too, and say that a character who isn’t queer in canon is better representation. in what world? you might feel connected to them and see your queerness in their journey, the same thing has happened to me too, but that’s not the same as having a literal queer story. queer characters are there to make you feel seen, but not only that. they are also here to challenge the status quo, to normalise queer people just existing and to make bigots uncomfortable. remember when jon kent was first announced to be bisexual with the cover of him kissing his boyfriend? yeah, a headcanon will never have such reaction.
my point isn’t made to attack people for seeing parts of themselves in “straight / allo / cis” characters. it’s wonderful that you found a character you could relate to and make you feel less alone. it really is. like i said, i see parts of my queer identity in characters who “don’t” have my sexuality too. but don’t put down actual queer representation for characters who have never been confirmed queer. it’s wrong of you to. at the end of the day, these are the characters who actually make the difference.
#jon kent#alex danvers#yes it’s about these two#you don’t have to like their characters but don’t be a jerk about their queerness#a lot of people see themselves in these two#saw someone say super*orp was better representation that alex#and dansen#in what world???#and how are you gonna be saying that in the year 2024???#BE FOR REAL WTF#and the same goes for people who reacted to jon coming out as#“should’ve been kon”#jon being queer doesn’t take away from kon#be for real#anti supercorp#and their fans#superman#supergirl#kelly olsen#jay nakamura#(gotta add their partners in crime lol)

The “but definitely not Kate’s sister.” gets me EVERY DAMN TIME.
Heroes reacting to Lena's behavior
Kara: *ties to explain to Lena why she didn’t tell her about her secret identity and apologize a million times.*
Barry: “Look, I get that you’re upset, but you got to let it go. Kara loves you. Like, super platonically, but she loves you. And you don’t have enough love in your life to turn your nose up at it.”
Kate: *looks Lena over for a minute*
Kate: “Damn, you’re gorgeous. It’s a shame about your face though.”
Lena: “What about my face?”
Kate: *breaks Lena’s face with her armored kneecap*
Sara: “You made Kara cry. So, you know, I kind of have to kill you now.”
Sara: *Proceeds to beat Lena within an inch of her life*
Sara: “Now, I’m only letting you live because if you died, Kara would be sad, and then I’d have to kick my own ass, and the time bureau gets pissed when I meet myself in an time loop, so try not to fuck it up again.”
Jefferson: (who doesn’t even know Kara) “Are you kidding me?”
Jefferson: *hits Lena with 50,000 volts*
Jefferson: “Rich white bitchs, always thinking the world owes them.”
Oliver: “Lena Luthor, you have failed this friendship.”
Oliver: *puts an arrow through both of Lena’s lungs, then sits there and watches as Lena drowns in her own blood*
Sara: *looks at Lena, then at Oliver*
Sara: “Good job.”
Oliver: “Thanks”
Sara: “Kara will be sad.”
Oliver: “I know.”
Sara: “You know I have to kick your ass.”
Oliver: “Yes. Just… Not the face this time, okay?”
Sara: “I can do that.”
Kara: *finds out Lena is dead*
Kara: “Who killed her?’
Oliver: "Malcolm Merlin!”
Barry: “The Reverse Flash!”
Kate: “Someone who isn’t my sister!”
Jefferson: “Tobias Whale!”
Sara: *looks at all of these idiots*
Sara: “The Legion of Doom, which is made up of Eobard Thawne, Damian Darhk, Tobias Whale and Malcolm Merlin, but definitely not Kate’s sister.”
Alex: *facepalms*
Alex: “Every one of them is a moron.”

Reflection (Kara reveals herself to Nia)
It felt like looking in a mirror.
When the frantic brunette stepped into the elevator, chattering distractedly at a mile a minute, Kara had to bite back a laugh. The nerves and the coffee and the horror of realizing that the new reporter had stepped into an elevator with the Kara Danvers brought some amusement to Kara. But Kara soon learned that there were other similarities - a passion for social justice, a reluctance to make waves - and Kara felt some kinship with her.
Nia’s average body temperature was 94F. Kara knew what it was like to hide.
Kara didn’t know that seeing her reflection would happen almost simultaneously with her own world falling apart. It wasn’t just the turmoil of anti-alien bigotry that felt like a kick in the gut. She was a stranger in Alex’s eyes - untrustworthy and suspect, drawing apprehension from the agent’s eyes whenever she wore the red and blue. Her strongest defender, the sister who protected her and stood by her… was gone.
The only other person she could be herself with - even if she did still have to hide - was busy with work. And when Lena wasn’t busy with work, she was busy with James. It killed Kara to watch them curl up together on the rare game night when Lena came by.
Nia’s hometown of Parthas was a breath of fresh air, but even that wouldn’t last long. In a town where naltorians and humans lived in harmony for ages - a town where Nia’s transness didn’t warrant commentary either - Kara found herself feeling hopeful. Until Liberty’s men came to destroy it, until she had to heatvision a gun out of her sister’s hand and received distrust in return.
The drive back home was a long one.
Her heart broke as Nia mourned the death of her mother, the destruction of her town, the you’re not even a real woman that her sister had thrown so callously in her direction. What seemed like simple similarities, like first-day jitters or an instinct for journalism, shifted to something stinging and sharp. Their stories weren’t the same - Nia had grown up in peace, Kara had grown up in turmoil - but they were both adrift in an unwelcoming world, without the people they cared about most to help them.
Kara pulled her car over.
It was Alex’s and Lena’s faces that flickered in her mind as she stepped out. The sister she had lost, the would-be lover that was in the arms of someone else, with no one left she could feel open with. She told herself - and Nia - that it was a logical decision to come out to Nia, because Nia wouldn’t be in danger, because she was a fledgling hero in need of mentorship.
As Kara turned and whipped off her glasses, as she temporarily took to the skies, she knew that this wasn’t entirely about logic. She was wrapped up in the wishes for her childhood, in the mourning of her present. If she couldn’t help herself, she could help someone who echoed her.
“I just need you to know now that you’re not alone,” she said when she landed. I just need to know that I’m not the only one.
#I think the degree to which Kara is wrecked by what happened with Alex is underexplored#and the degree to which Kara sees her younger self in Nia is also underexplored#there's a lot of pain there that occurred at the same time#S4 continues to be my favorite in terms of the writing#mel writes ficlets#supergirl#kara danvers#nia nal

Day 1: Leaves/Race Against the Clock
It happened on a Tuesday morning.
At 8:15am on August 23rd, four gas bombs went off across National City. Two metro stations, the starting zone of Race for Rights, a pro-alien news center.
The first alien at CatCo started coughing at 8:16. It was Gerry, the custodian. He felt a tickle in his throat. Then a burn. He was dead by 8:17. Patrick Erhaus, who’d stopped by to drop off lunch for his wife died next. Susan Erhaus followed him. Kara lasted longer than most. Long enough that she’s trying to perform CPR on Gerry by the time her throat starts itching. Long enough that she knows what’s coming.
It takes her a whole ten minutes to die. She tries not to panic. She really does. But it’s hard not to panic when your throat closes up, and you fall, and suddenly you’re face down on the rug next to Gerry whose lips have turned blue and who stares at you with empty unseeing eyes.
Her funeral is August 25th. There’s no body in the casket they lower into the ground. Her sister burned her corpse the day she died, and kept a candle lit all night for her to find her way home to Rao. They bury the casket anyway. It was hard, finding someone to do the funeral so quickly, and with so many people to bury. But they wanted it done. Better to bury the empty casket sooner, before people start wondering where her body is.
It’s a quiet affair. Her sister, her mother, a few friends. Lena Luthor stands to the side. She doesn’t cry. Alex Danvers goes home already drunk, and finishes off a bottle of whiskey. Winn and James try to follow her home, to look after her, but a shattered glass aimed at their heads convinces them to make themselves scarce. Alex will be calmer in a few days.
Cadmus takes credit. The video isn’t long, a brief speech about continuing the work after expelling the Daxamites. It hits Youtube barely 10 minutes after it interrupts the live service of every broadcast in National City.
CatCo mourns. One of the junior reporters goes home early after he screams at a visiting intern who leans on an empty desk. Family members had already cleared them all out, but no one’s touched them since. And no one will.
The carpet was replaced where the bodies had lay. The new square doesn’t quite match.
Brusque, cold, and periodically rude, Snapper goes about his business almost as normal. He doesn’t go near the new carpet by the elevators. Snapper was the second to stand up to help behind Kara. He’d whispered to her while she choked, soothing promises they’d both known were empty.
The list of the dead is posted in their newest edition, with a few anecdotes or in memoriums. Kara’s is the shortest.
The first to reach out to help. The last to let go.
Kara Danvers, you were the bravest of us.
In the confusion after the attack, Supergirl is nowhere to be found. At first, people assume she’s just laying low. Avoiding getting caught up in the gas, same as Martian Manhunter. Then maybe she’s grieving. Or investigating. By the time a full week rolls around without an official statement or even sighting, rumors start spreading. On September 1st, Martian Manhunter takes the stage at his first public appearance since the attack, and delivers the news.
The city’s response is immediate and violent. Riots break out across the city, mourners protesting in the street meet anti-alien celebrations. Fires spread. By the mid-afternoon most of the city has shut down. Superman is spotted helping break out fights and put out the fires. A few people try to ask him for a comment, but he never touches down on the street level.
It was only a matter of time before someone put two and two together. It was a joke at CatCo, how much they had looked alike. Now, with publicized lists of the dead, the physical similarity takes on a more serious meaning. The debates about the ethics of her work are fierce, if entirely ignored by the CatCo editors board. The closest to acknowledging it they come is in muttered conversations between staff. She completely crushed my stapler once. Said something about cheap manufacturing and laughed it off. I never thought about it. How could I not have thought about it?
Visitors flock to her home in Midvale. Alex Danvers, officially an FBI agent, narrowly escapes a court martial only as a result of the publicity. The first bombing attempt at Alex’s apartment kills four people, but is poorly timed. Neither Alex nor her fiance are home when the blast hits.
The camera feed inside CatCo goes viral. Supergirl’s last attempt at heroism. It plays on every station, sans two. CatCo’s reasons are obvious, but The Daily Planet sparks rumors. Instead of the footage, the Planet airs an official statement from Superman. People mumble if he’d pulled a deal to keep them from showing it. Really the decision had been made during an informal meeting in the bullpen. Clark Kent had threatened to quit if they aired it. Perry White is not typically an easy man to bully but Clark’s voice had echoed across the room, loud and clear and lower than Perry had ever heard it. Had he always been that tall? It even shuts Lane up for a few moments, miracle that is, before she, too, promises quit.
The filmed statement from Superman is, for the most part, a professional and rehearsed affair. In an unaffected voice that seems deeply unnatural from Superman’s lips, reads a sanitized and politically undivisive statement on standing together during times of tragedy. It’s only in the last few minutes that his voice begins to crack.
Because of what she was, and the live we live, most of you never got the chance to know her as I did. So I’ve prepared— ahem. I’ve prepared a few fun facts I thought she wouldn’t mind me sharing.
Her favorite color was blue.
She really liked birds. Krypton didn’t have them. Her favorite was that bird of paradise with the big blue smiley face on his back.
She loved math and chemistry. She liked to make her own paints.
She hated brussel sprouts— wouldn’t go into a restaurant that sold them. Once, when she was 15 and we’d had an argument, she replaced all the food in my fridge with boiled brussel sprouts and cabbage. I never got the smell out of that fridge. And I still don’t know where she got them— if she cooked them or bought them somewhere.
[There’s a pause. He seems lost in thought]
She loved this place. She loved learning about this planet. I don’t think she ever really understood it, but she loved this world. She really—
[He visibly collects himself. When his eyes meet the camera, they shine with tears.]
Rao zheldiv :divi bah ni Kara Zor-El
This world is dimmer without you.
The L-Corp National City office closes by the end of the year. Lena Luthor herself is gone by the end of the week. The official statement cites financial concerns. The avoidance of public statement about the Kara Danvers issue is not missed by the public.
Lena disappears for two months. When she reappears, it is at a police raid which captures half the upper administration of Cadmus, including Lillian Luthor. Lena gives no statement. The police publicly thank her for her service to the nation, and the next time she’s spotted it’s at a local alien dive bar with Alex Danvers.
Alex returns most of Kara’s personal effects to their mother, except the paintings. When people catch wind that Supergirl’s paintings are going on sale, the interest is intense. There are hundreds of buyers, each offering millions in exchange for just one of her works. In the end, the whole set of paintings are sold for just 5 dollars. The local alien art museum had refused to take them for free, but it’s difficult to out-stubborn Alex Danvers. Kara had liked it there. And it wasn’t like they had the money to compete with the other offers she was getting.
There are dozens of paintings. The city skyline from above. Fallen leaves on the Midvale porch. The stars, constellations no astronomer can match. Waterfalls made of fire, with strange fanged plants. A glass city, curving and spiraling unnaturally under a red sky. A shattered planet. Green fire. Alex labels the ones she can identify, but there are others: planets, buildings, people, Alex doesn’t recognize. Captured memories of places seen once or twice, people half-forgotten, faded echoes from dreams.
The museum is flooded with guests. Most the proceeds are donated to charities in Kara’s name, but even so, they have more money than they know what to do with. They bring in alien experts to help identify locations and people. They highlight new artists. They start running afterschool programming for local alien children, and invite them to share their own homes and places and people. Kara’s paintings sit in the center of it all. For the first time, Earth gets a look at Krypton.
A year after the attack, the statue of Supergirl at the harbor gains a pair. The other statue is slight shorter, with hunched shoulders, a simple cardigan, and a small notebook in one hand. Her glasses are slightly askew. The inscription is simple enough.
Thank you. ___________________________________________________

List of all the shit Lena did
She kept Samantha Aries in her lab, knowing full well that she was also Reign.
She hid her knowledge of making kryptonite from the heroes.
She experimented using Harun-El on humans that led to the death of a volunteer. She even wanted to share her research to the government, which would without a doubt cause chaos.
After finding out that Kara is Supergirl, she planed to expose her identity to the world to make her feel the pain she felt over her betrayal, only backing off at the last second when Kara tells her the truth and decides to use her powers for her own needs. She was also hypocrite when James Olsen told her that he was Guardian and saying she was okay with it.
She had her A.I. Hope take over Eve Teschmacher's body after detaining her to use her as a lab assistant.
She manipulated Kara into stealing Lex's journals with his research on mind control from the government so she can understand Q-waves for Project Non Nocere.
She sent Malefic J'onzz to her laboratory by modifying Brainy's Phantom Zone Projector, she forges an alliance with him by promising him that she would help to get revenge on his brother if he helped her with her research. However, she later goes back on their deal and brainwashes him instead.
She threatened Russell Rogers' life by getting him to commit suicide in order to get the medallion from her former friend Andrea Rojas, after she helped her break into the D.E.O. to get him.
This causes Leviathan to take action to get the medallion back, leading to Rama Khan's attacks.
When she accompanies Supergirl to the Fortress of Solitude to find a weapon that can stop him, she steals Myriad, a mind controlling device that could brainwash the entire world population.
When she finds out about her true nature, she confessed to murdering her own brother (although to protect her friends and the world) and then she turned the Fortress' defense system against her and trapped her in kryptonite ice.
She attempted to dose the entire Earth with her Q-waves to force her will upon the world, essentially achieving world domination.
Given that Myriad can kill people if set to its highest frequency and implied by Alex Danvers' words about how Lena is threatening the world's safety, it possible that she might have caused the genocide of the human race.
When the police arrived in her laboratory to arrest her, she had Hope as Eve take the fall for her actions.
On Earth-Prime, after the Anti-Monitor Crisis, she retains her memories due to Lex's deal with the Monitor and her grudge against Supergirl. When choosing to either partner with Supergirl or Lex, she ultimately chooses the latter.
She tries to manipulate Andrea into handing over her computers lenses for her project under the guise of friendship, eventually going so far as to sabotage her.
In an alternate timeline, she kills her brother Lex for injuring her due to with his assassination attempt on her life and destroys most of National City, and then rules the rest of it as a tyrant.
She also tries to kill Supergirl with her kryptonite heart, would have succeed had not Mr. Mxyzpltk found his hat.
She trespasses into the Fortress of Solitude and upon finding Supergirl using Myriad (something she is forbidden from) to locate missing people, she calls her out for her hypocrisy when she said it was forbidden for anyone to use, despite the fact she lied to her previously just to get it.
All because she was pissy that Kara didn't tell her that Kara was Supergirl even after Kara told her the secret!!!!
If anyone is fucking Trump Light, it's the bitch who was literally borderline genocidal and xenophobic

Confidential
written by @roadien60
Rating: Mature
Warnings: None
Summary:
Was it only three months ago that the story had come out in Confidential magazine? It felt like so much more time had passed. The headline was burned into Alex’s memory: ALEXIS D’ANVERS AND MAGGIE SAWYER: BOSOM BUDDIES OR BEDROOM BUDDIES?
They met in 1952, they fell in love in 1953, they fell apart in 1954.
Alex and Maggie are movie stars in the waning days of Hollywood's golden age. Against the backdrop of the House Un-American Activities Committee's anti-communist witch-hunts, the Hollywood blacklist, the rise of Technicolor cinema, the virulent early days of celebrity tabloids, and a (literally) underground gay bar, this is a story of how they find each other again in 1955.
Additional tags: Alternate Universe - Historical, Alternate Universe - No Powers, Alternate Universe - Hollywood, Alternate Universe - 1950s, 1950s, Jewish Alex Danvers
With art, included in the story, by ViviWrites

These works were part of Sanvers Big Bang 2020 and were revealed on October 30.

Taxes, Taxes, Taxes-Chapter 24
Fandom: Supergirl
Characters: Kara Danvers, Clark Kent, Samantha Arias, Lena Luthor, Lillian Luthor, Ruby Arias, Oliver Queen, John Stewart, Diana Prince, Bruce Wayne, Barry Allen, J'onn J'onnz, Alfred Pennyworth, Lois Lane, Cat Grant, Lucy Lane, Damian Wayne, Felicity Smoak, Streaky the Supercat, Martha Kent, Selina Kyle, Talia Al Ghul, Lucius Fox, Maggie Sawyer, Alex Danvers, Jason Todd, Otis Graves, Lex Luthor
Summary: What if superheroes had to pay a property damage tax every time they had a fight in the city?
Lillian sighed as she watched the clock at Noonan’s gradually tick away the time. She felt a sudden squeeze of her hand. She looked to the seat next to her at the restaurant to see Martha smiling back at her.
“Everything is going to be okay. The worst that can happen is that Amanda won’t tell us anything and send us on our way.”
Lillian gave her a soft smile. She reached down and kissed Martha’s hand and said, “I’m more concerned that she will rat us out to Lex more so anything else.”
Martha raised an eyebrow and asked, “Is that why you suggested meeting at Noonan’s instead of the office?”
Lillian sighed and said, “Lex is lax with watching over me, but you can never be too careful. Both Amanda and I frequent this restaurant enough that it wouldn’t be unusual for us to bump into each other and have a few words.”
Martha looked at Lillian baffled and asked, “Wait? You guys see each other here often?”
Lillian leaned back in her chair and said, “Yes. Amanda and I are usually around here late morning or early afternoon. However, we tend to avoid each other.” Lillian shook her head and sighed. She continued, “Amanda and I used to be best friends in college. We came up with the idea of Cadmus during our senior year as a capstone project. We thought that there should not only be an organization that studies the extraterrestrial lifeforms that were already on Earth but also learn how to coexist with each other. I focused more on the business side of things whereas Amanda worked towards networking and getting funding. Everything went well until Zod came into the picture several years ago.”
Martha winced and said, “I hate that name with a passion.”
“You are not alone in that sentiment. It reshaped Amanda’s perception of aliens as a whole. She viewed every one of them as a threat and that they needed to be removed from Earth. Lex provided her with options to achieve that and in return, she provided him funding to support his research efforts on the subject. I objected to all of this, but she still pushed me out. Fortunately, enough people from Cadmus didn’t like Amanda’s new direction and decided to come with me as I formed my own company.”
“If you think she has so much hatred against aliens, why do you think she would talk to us.”
Lillian leaned her head back and stared up at the ceiling thoughtfully.
“There have been rumors of Leviathan changing direction for a while now. They have always been anti-alien, but their choices in political candidates have been interesting to say to least.”
Martha looked at her quizzically and asked, “How so?”
“Well, the candidates they have supported so far are pro-alien rights and making reforms to help aliens become citizens. It is a complete 180. Lex wasn’t willing to cooperate with their changes so he was cut off. Amanda has used funding from Leviathan in the past. I am curious to see if she followed the road Lex took in regards to them, or if she fell in line to their new policy. If she did, we may be able to get something out of her.”
Martha nodded and said, “I like that particular theory. Hopefully, it doesn’t take that long to get information out of her. I have so much to do to prepare for tonight.”
Lillian smirked and asked, “Worried about meeting the children I see?”
Martha pouted which caused Lillian to smile. She loved teasing Martha just a tiny bit.
Lillian caressed Martha’s face and said, “You don’t have to worry. Sam, Lena, and Ruby will adore you as much as I do.”
Martha looked down while twiddling her thumbs and said, “Well, Lena has kind of avoided me with everything with Clark. I just worried that she might…”
Lillian kissed Martha’s hand which caused her to blush.
“Lena is more than okay with everything. All three girls are happy that I have put myself back out there.”
Martha smiled and said, “Still, I want to make a good impression and make sure that everything goes smoothly.”
Lillian smiled and said, “It will darling. I am just as eager to meet Kara. I have never seen Lena this happy before. It is like she is floating on cloud nine everyday.”
Martha chuckled and said, “I am not surprised. Kara is a bundle of sunshine that will brighten anyone’s day. I just wished that some of that would rub off on Clark. He used to be so optimistic, but now….”
Lillian squeezed Martha’s hand and said, “Hopefully this stuff with Lex will give us insight into Clark. I don’t have any proof, but I am willing to bet money that Lex has something to do with Clark’s behavioral changes.”
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he did,” said a woman’s voice.
Lillian and Martha nearly jumped out of their seats. They turned to see a black woman of medium build and short black hair staring at them. She had on a blue business suit. Lillian quickly change her expression to surprise to passive.
The woman smirked and said, “You are losing your touch Lillian. It is nice to see that I can still take you by surprise.”
The woman pulled up a chair and sat down with them.
Lillian sighed and said, “It is nice to see you too, Amanda.”
Amanda smirked while she turned towards Martha and said, “I am assuming that since you brought Superman’s mother that you are wondering about if Lex had anything in store for him.”
Martha looked at her startled and asked, “How….”
Amanda chuckled and said, “Lex wasn’t very subtle about his infatuation with your son.”
Martha glared at the woman while gripping the table until her knuckles went white.
Martha growled, “Yet you help a mad man hurt my son over and over again.”
Amanda sighed while leaning back in her chair and said, “Would you believe me if I told you it was never my attention that he got hurt?”
Martha scoffed and said, “Don’t insult my intelligence.”
Amanda chuckled and said, “Well, I did want your son neutralized after the events with Zod.”
Martha winced at that statement.
Amanda sighed and said, “And before you say anything, I realized that your son was being controlled by Zod. However, that fight between them caused over 200 people to die. Most had the nuance of separating Superman from that. He was drugged after all. However, your son isn’t normal. What if he is drugged or mind controlled again? Who is there to stop him. The Justice League was barely able to contain him the last time. We need measures in place for if that were to occur.”

The Uncanny X-Men #154 - Reunion
Storm and Cyclops are playing... a really interesting game of handball in the mansion gymnasium. Neither can seem to get ahead of the other, so they declare a draw.
Meanwhile, in space - Major Christopher Summers aka Corsair, US Air Force, father of Scott and Alex Summers, and leader of the Starjammers flies a Shi'ar ship toward Earth. (See issue #104 for his first appearance [I think] and #107 for more details on Corsair.) And then a Shi'ar Dreadnought shows up on his scanners, and Corsair is very alarmed by this.
And then at Magneto's island base from issue #150, the X-Men (except Cyclops and Storm) and Dr. Corbeau are moving around a bunch of supplies. Colossus carries a couple huge boxes of computer parts. Nightcrawler wonders if this island is safe for the X-Men to be here. The Professor reads Nightcrawler's mind and responds that it's no safer back at the mansion since anti-mutant sentiment is growing. The team is now using the island as a base.
Outside, Carol Danvers struggles to remember her past. Since the Avengers fought the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and Rogue absorbed Carol's powers and memories (Avengers Annual #10), Carol has been powerless and memoryless. She does seem to remember Wolverine, who confirms that they met when Carol was in the Air Force and Wolverine was with the Canadian Secret Service. Carol can't remember the details. Kitty comes outside and says the Professor wants to see Wolverine.
Quick scene in space where the Shi'ar ship is firing at Corsair's.
And then we're back at the mansion. Scott makes dinner. Ororo gets the mail, which includes a postcard from Kitty. They discuss the X-Men's leadership role. Ororo asks if Scott wants the role back. He doesn't. Ororo says she has come to enjoy the leadership role. And then -
CRASH!
Corsair's ship crashes into the lake at the mansion. Ororo and Scott rush outside and dive into the lake and pull Corsair out of the wreckage. Ororo thinks she should tell Scott the truth about Corsair... (Scott still doesn't know that Corsair is his father.)
Flashback to the plane crash where Corsair's wife and two sons jump out with the parachutes...
And back to the present. Corsair just tells Scott who he is. Scott doesn't believe him. Ororo says that Corsair is telling the truth. Scott asks how she knows this. But there's no time to explain anything because these weird spider-looking robots show up and start trying to kill them all. Corsair calls them "Sidrian Hunters." Corsair realizes that the Hunters must not be from the Shi'ar Empire, but from the opposition Shi'ar, the traitors who kidnapped Lilandra.
Storm and Cyclops decide to split up. Cyclops and Corsair will go get the Blackbird and Storm will hold back the Hunters. The plan pretty much works. Storm creates a monsoon to push the Sidrian Hunters back, then flies up to join Cyclops and Corsair in the jet. As they fly over the mansion they see HUNDREDS more Sidrian Hunters. They've completely destroyed the house.
Cyclops flies the Blackbird away from the mansion. The hundreds of Sidrian Hunters join all together to form their own jet! And then they start chasing the Blackbird. Cyclops uses optic blasts straight through the Blackbird cockpit. Storm flies outside and creates a tornado. They pass an oil field, which Corsair says is a great thing because heat will kill the Hunters. Corsair shoots several oil storage tanks, setting off a HUGE explosion. The Hunters are dead. Cyclops is furious that Corsair would cause such damage, and he screams at his father about the danger to the workers and the environment. Corsair says he's trying to save the Earth. Cyclops asks what he means. Corsair explains -
10 days ago terrorists attacked the Shi'ar Grand Council, kidnapped Lilandra, and headed to Earth. The rest of the Shi'ar, led by Chancellor Araki and the Shi'ar Admiral Samédar followed the terrorists and they're prepared to do anything to get Lilandra back, even if it causes the destruction of the entire world!

And yet she did!
In episode 3 of Finally A Female Superhero we almost ruin our friendship (not in the Jenny way, the death fight way) by debating the 'merits' of Alex.
This episode covers Episode 3 Season 1 of Supergirl, Fight or Flight.

kara's unwavering belief in lena counter: ∞
they should stop talking about super stuff in the middle of a croud

“I thought I knew everything I needed to know, but you have secrets. It changes things.”
“[About not liking secrets] Nope, I don’t.”
“[When asked what her name is] That’s not a great question for a Luthor to ask someone in my family.”
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME KARA?
As if she doesn’t keep a BIG secret from Lena for two years and gets everyone around Lena to lie to her as well. You don’t like secrets, Kara? Then why are you SO MAD when Lena knows yours? And REALLY? The Luthor thing? Lena has been trying to get away from her family name and proving herself and she has SO COME ON. STOP ACTING LIKE SHES EVIL.
Alex automatically agreeing with Kara here annoys me, too.

You know, I just had thought!
What's Jonn's real opinion of Lena now? Because even though she did hold Malefic prisoner, she's also the reason that Jonn was able to reconnect with his brother, have the whole mind bond thing and they were able to forgive eachother and Malefic is now off to Mars to help Mgann.
Once again, indirectly Lena has had an effect on the lives of the Superfriends.
If Lena hadn't interfered Malefic would have been once again banished to the hell that is the Phantom Zone, Jonn would have gotten away with his horrendous treatment of Malefic in the first place and they would never had settled things.
So, is Jonn going to acknowledge that? Or will he simply concentrate on the fact that Lena held Malefic prisoner?
Is what Lena did, holding him and using his powers (which Malefic originally agreed to so he could have his mental block removed and could attack Jonn) worse that what Jonn did to Malefic TWICE? Or rather once and tried to do a second time?
Is being held in a cell and being prevented from hurting Jonn or anyone else worse than being twice banished to the phantom zone? (Remember Jonn and the Superfriends thought they had sent him there a second time).
Lena double crossed Malefic and wouldn't allow him to hurt Jonn or anyone else, he thought he wa having his mental block removed but Lena didn't really do that. She did use mind control to make him happy to stay with her which was of course wrong, but is it worse than what Jonn originally did to Malefic? Is it worse than Jonn invading the minds of ALL the Martians and making it so that Malefic didn't even exist? Even from his own mind and his father's? Jonn literally erased his brothers existence from his own father's mind!
What Lena did wasn't right of course, but is it worse that the horrific crap that Jonn did to Malefic?
Without Lena doing what she did Jonn would have send to his brother back to hell and would never have reconciled with him.
So is Jonn going to acknowledge this? Even Malefic said she didn't hurt him and wouldn't allow him to hurt Jonn as it went against her morality to do so.
Jonn can still try and stop Lena if she does something dodgy of course, but he should at least acknowledge that she is the reason he had well 3rd chance with his brother, since he f**ked the second one up by trying to banish him again.
Also also, if Lena was ever made to face consequences for holding Malefic (without ever having hurt him) then Alex should be made to face the consequences for letting Malefic an actual criminal who according to her own words and as we have seen nearly killed her and Alex, plus is responsible for the destruction of Mars GO FREE!!
I Don't understand this? Alex is willing to blow Lena her friend up, the woman who has saved the world and her sister MULTIPLE times, but is quite willing to let Malefic go free because he had a change of heart and bonded with his bro? Sorry but Director Danvers SUCKS at her job right now! "Hmm... today we'll blow up our dear friend and will literally leave it to the last second to use the murderous alien who can help us stop Lena because he attacked me and my girlfriend of 5 minutes and I can't have that! Even though the actual 12th level intellect has told me it's the best option'.
"Oh ok, I made the decision not to blow up my friend but now I'll let the murderous alien go free because he helped us that one time!'
Am I the only one who saw this?
Great Malefic had a change of heart, but does that change the fact he was responsible for what happened on Mars? Or all the crap he did while on Earth?
The DEO loves to pick and choose who faces consequences and who doesn't.
According to Alex's job, both Jonn and Malefic should be facing consequences for crimes. Jonn for murdering the unarmed human Manchester Black and Malefic for the above reasons.
