The Uncanny X-Men #154 - Reunion

Storm and Cyclops are playing... a really interesting game of handball in the mansion gymnasium. Neither can seem to get ahead of the other, so they declare a draw.

Meanwhile, in space - Major Christopher Summers aka Corsair, US Air Force, father of Scott and Alex Summers, and leader of the Starjammers flies a Shi'ar ship toward Earth. (See issue #104 for his first appearance [I think] and #107 for more details on Corsair.) And then a Shi'ar Dreadnought shows up on his scanners, and Corsair is very alarmed by this.

And then at Magneto's island base from issue #150, the X-Men (except Cyclops and Storm) and Dr. Corbeau are moving around a bunch of supplies. Colossus carries a couple huge boxes of computer parts. Nightcrawler wonders if this island is safe for the X-Men to be here. The Professor reads Nightcrawler's mind and responds that it's no safer back at the mansion since anti-mutant sentiment is growing. The team is now using the island as a base.

Outside, Carol Danvers struggles to remember her past. Since the Avengers fought the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and Rogue absorbed Carol's powers and memories (Avengers Annual #10), Carol has been powerless and memoryless. She does seem to remember Wolverine, who confirms that they met when Carol was in the Air Force and Wolverine was with the Canadian Secret Service. Carol can't remember the details. Kitty comes outside and says the Professor wants to see Wolverine.

Quick scene in space where the Shi'ar ship is firing at Corsair's.

And then we're back at the mansion. Scott makes dinner. Ororo gets the mail, which includes a postcard from Kitty. They discuss the X-Men's leadership role. Ororo asks if Scott wants the role back. He doesn't. Ororo says she has come to enjoy the leadership role. And then -

CRASH!

Corsair's ship crashes into the lake at the mansion. Ororo and Scott rush outside and dive into the lake and pull Corsair out of the wreckage. Ororo thinks she should tell Scott the truth about Corsair... (Scott still doesn't know that Corsair is his father.)

Flashback to the plane crash where Corsair's wife and two sons jump out with the parachutes...

And back to the present. Corsair just tells Scott who he is. Scott doesn't believe him. Ororo says that Corsair is telling the truth. Scott asks how she knows this. But there's no time to explain anything because these weird spider-looking robots show up and start trying to kill them all. Corsair calls them "Sidrian Hunters." Corsair realizes that the Hunters must not be from the Shi'ar Empire, but from the opposition Shi'ar, the traitors who kidnapped Lilandra.

Storm and Cyclops decide to split up. Cyclops and Corsair will go get the Blackbird and Storm will hold back the Hunters. The plan pretty much works. Storm creates a monsoon to push the Sidrian Hunters back, then flies up to join Cyclops and Corsair in the jet. As they fly over the mansion they see HUNDREDS more Sidrian Hunters. They've completely destroyed the house.

Cyclops flies the Blackbird away from the mansion. The hundreds of Sidrian Hunters join all together to form their own jet! And then they start chasing the Blackbird. Cyclops uses optic blasts straight through the Blackbird cockpit. Storm flies outside and creates a tornado. They pass an oil field, which Corsair says is a great thing because heat will kill the Hunters. Corsair shoots several oil storage tanks, setting off a HUGE explosion. The Hunters are dead. Cyclops is furious that Corsair would cause such damage, and he screams at his father about the danger to the workers and the environment. Corsair says he's trying to save the Earth. Cyclops asks what he means. Corsair explains -

10 days ago terrorists attacked the Shi'ar Grand Council, kidnapped Lilandra, and headed to Earth. The rest of the Shi'ar, led by Chancellor Araki and the Shi'ar Admiral Samédar followed the terrorists and they're prepared to do anything to get Lilandra back, even if it causes the destruction of the entire world!

Civilization VI: Gathering Storm Cheats

Enable Console

Start by head to the following file location:

C:Users[USER NAME]DocumentsMy GamesSid Meier’s Civilization VI

Now, make a backup of the AppOptions.txt file. Open that file and scroll down to the [Debug] section of the file. Look for a line containing the following text:

EnableDebugMenu 0

Change the 0 in that text so that it reads 1, and start playing the game like usual. Then press ~ (TILDE, THE KEY ABOVE TAB) to access the debug console.

Easy Deity Win (Exploit)

You can win the game on Deity difficulty and score some easy achievements by taking the following steps:

Choose your civilization.

Create a custom game with only “Score Victory” checked, and change the turn limit to 1.

Load the game and choose the Found City option.

End your turn as soon as the option becomes available.

You win the match, just like that, and you will unlock numerous achievements. This works on any difficulty setting.

Reveal the Entire Map

Use a text editor to edit the “Config.ini” file in your Steam Apps folder or the “DocumentsMy GamesSid Meier’s Civilization 6” directory.

Find the “DebugPanel = 0” line and change it to “DebugPanel = 1”

Save and close the “Config.ini�� file.

While playing the game, press ~ to display the debug panel.

Select “Reveal All” to reveal the entire map.

Now you can easily access Debug Console in Civilization VI in-game. In order to activate it you just need to PRESS TILDE “~”. It will open a Debug Window, from there select “Reveal All” option.

Trading Glitch

When trading with the AI, you can use two major glitchs:

1- Give any strategic or luxury resources and as much gold per turn as possible, then click the option whatwill you give me for this?, the AI will break and will offer insane amounts of goldand gold per turn just for the resource.

2- Ask for whatever you want from the AI (cities included) and start putting gold (not gold per turn, only normal gold) untilthey accept the deal, then reduce until you’re as close as possible to the required amount, Ex: 25890 Gold of 26000 required, and click on the option make this trade equitable, this will break the AI and will ask an amount of gold per turn proportional to how close you were to the real price. (I bought 5 cities for 3 gold per turn and a jeans in emperor difficulty). This glitch can also be used in multiplayer matches that include AI, but will surely get patched soon.

Early Domination

If you want to enjoy Civilization 6’s battle systems, it’ll be best to pick up the Aztecs, Scythia, or the Spartan Greece. Aztecs allow your own territories to have more tile improvements as their Eagle Warriors convert slain units into Builder units. Meanwhile, Scythia’s units have bonuses against targeting wounded enemy units. Lastly, the Spartan Greece units generate Culture per enemy unit killed. Waging war in the earlier eras yields fewer Warmonger penalties, so feel free tosiege other Civilizations or City States if you need something from them. If you manage to take every Capital or wipe out every leader in the match, your Civilization will attain the laborious and difficult Domination Victory.

Camera keys

With Civilization VI now out in the wild, one of the biggest gripes is the camera control not being mapped to WASD. The good news is that camera keys can be changedwith some simple file editing. Rename Cities

3) Then open the file named “CityNames_Text.xml” with any text editor, then search for the city/civilization that you want to rename. Change the name there and save. Once you are all done reload the game and you will find your city name changed.

After that go to “line 60” then change “AutoUnitCycle 1” to “AutoUnitCycle 0”

The Uncanny X-Men #157 - Hide n Seek!

The X-Men and the Starjammers are working to repair the ship that was damaged in the escape from the Brood. Working too hard, Colossus re-aggravates the wound in his chest, causing him to collapse. The X-Men rush him to the Starjammers' infirmary. The medical robot, Sikorsky, starts a surgery to stop Colossus's internal bleeding. Lilandra calls the X-Men to the bridge, and she explains that she has been able to send a signal to Chancellor Araki, but he is not responding...

Across the Solar System, in the cabin of Araki's ship, Admiral Samédar has killed Araki, and prepares to obliterate the Earth!

Worried about not being able to reach Araki, Professor Xavier tries to telepathically contact Nightcrawler and Kitty Pryde who are still aboard Araki's ship. While he attempts this, he detects an anomaly within himself. It looks... Brood-ish. The Professor screams and then seems frozen, like he is stuck in a vegetative state. The X-Men take yet another of their members to Sikorsky for medical attention.

Back in the living space ship of the Brood, Deathbird and a Brood leader, Kam'n'ehar, fight. The Brood are upset with Deathbird because of the lost battle with the X-Men and the damage their ship has sustained. Deathbird explains to Kam'n'ehar that the X-Men are mutants with powerful abilities. This intrigues Kam'n'ehar; he wants to capture the X-Men and bring them to the "Mother."

On Araki's ship, Samédar's guards go to kill Nightcrawler and Kitty. But the X-Men expect the attack and they quickly dispense with the guards. They rush out of their open cell to find Araki. They have to prove that Lilandra is alive or the Shi'ar will destroy the Earth! But they find Araki dead! They decide to find the Shi'ar Imperial Guard telepath, Oracle, have her read their minds so they can prove to the Shi'ar that Lilandra is safe.

By the way, a couple issues back Kitty found a weird machine on the Shi'ar spaceship that made any clothes she could think of.

On the bridge, Admiral Samédar gives the order to attack the Earth's major population centers. But before the Shi'ar can carry out that order -

PHOENIX!

Except it isn't Phoenix; it's Kitty in a Phoenix costume. She successfully scares all the Shi'ar enough that they don't start the attack on Earth. Then she phases through the floor and the Shi'ar try to find her. Kitty and Nightcrawler run into the Imperial Guard and have Oracle read their minds as they planned. The Guard do believe the Admiral has been acting strange lately, and they decide they need to make contact with Lilandra as soon as possible.

But before that happens, Samédar reveals himself as in league with Deathbird and the Shi'ar loyal to him attack the Imperial Guard and the X-Men. It's a big fight. Samédar uses a Brood weapon on the ship to stun all of them and then he launches his weapons at the USA.

Before anything hits a target, the Starjammers' ship appears and blocks back all the weapons. Lilandra sends a hologram to Samédar's ship ordering the Shi'ar to end all hostilities against Earth, to put Samédar under arrest, and to release the X-Men and Imperial Guard.

In the aftermath, we see that Colossus is healed. Lilandra and the X-Men discuss how dangerous Deathbird and the Brood are. Storm fears that the Professor will never come out of his vegetable state...

The Uncanny X-Men #155 - First Blood

Cyclops is really upset that no one bothered to tell him that his father, Christopher Summers aka Corsair, was still alive. He asks why Storm didn't tell him. She said because Jean asked her not to. Cyclops asks why Jean didn't tell him. Corsair says it's because he asked her not to. They keep arguing and then the Blackbird glows bright yellow. The Shi'ar! They're pulling the Blackbird in with some kind of beam. Soon the Blackbird is captured and on board the Shi'ar ship. The rest of the X-Men are there too! Tons of Shi'ar troops and Gladiator, Chancellor Araki, and Admiral Samédar greet the X-Men. Wolverine is ready to slice everyone up, but the Professor says to put his claws away; he senses that they are in no danger.

The Professor demands to know why the Shi'ar have kidnapped the X-Men. He wants a meeting with Empress Lilandra. Chancellor Araki says that isn't possible because Lilandra has been kidnapped. Wolverine says this is a Shi'ar problem, not theirs. Araki says he's wrong because all evidence points to someone on Earth being behind the kidnapping. Araki wants the X-Men to find Lilandra and bring her back. The team agrees.

The X-Men, except Kitty and Nightcrawler, are teleported back to the mansion, but the mansion is totally destroyed, see last issue. The X-Men think they will need help to find Lilandra, so they take the short trip over to the Avengers HQ. No one is there except the newest Avenger, Tigra, and Jarvis. The X-Men call the Fantastic Four, but they are unavailable. Jarvis tells the Professor that he doesn't look so good and that he should rest. The Professor explains that he tried to reach Lilandra telepathically, but her captors must have expected that because he was attacked in a psionic ambush and barely escaped.

Back in space, Kitty and Nightcrawler are impressed with how beautiful Earth looks. Kitty tells Nightcrawler that the Professor psychically transferred all the information he has about the Shi'ar to her. She wants to explore the ship...

And on the streets of Manhattan, Ororo and Corsair discuss the past - how Corsair lost his wife, how Scott lost Jean. Someone is watching them. And that someone is pointing a weird alien-looking sniper rifle at them! That someone turns out to be of an alien species called the Brood, and it's name is Skur'kll. Skur'kll wants to capture Ororo and Corsair and take them to the "Mother-Of-Us-All." But someone else named Deathbird (not a Brood) is there too, and she tells Skur'kll not to hurt them. Deathbird says Ororo and Corsair may prove to be a match for the Mother. Skur'kll doesn't care, and he shoots the weapon at Ororo and Corsair.

Deathbird flies down to, I guess, capture Ororo and Corsair. But a red optic blast knocks her out of the sky. The X-Men have arrived! They try to stop Deathbird, but she gets away. Storm and Corsair start fighting each other and start fighting the X-Men! The weapon the Brood shot at them seems to have them confused. But the Professor quickly telepathically restores them to their right minds. Corsair explains that Deathbird is one of the Shi'ar leading a rebellion against Lilandra.

Skur'kll and more of the Brood start shooting at the X-Men, and they're targeting the Professor! The X-Men fight back! They're able to kill all the Brood, but Deathbird takes the Professor hostage. She takes him to a huge spaceship under a nearby building and when the ship blasts off it causes the building to collapse right on top of the X-Men! Most of the team is ok, but Colossus has been stabbed by a piece of metal! He's dead! And the police show up, holding the X-Men at gunpoint!

The Uncanny X-Men #156 - Pursuit!

The police have the X-Men surrounded. Tigra tries to explain everything that's happened, but the police don't believe her. But it doesn't matter because a HUGE Shi'ar ship flies above Manhattan and beams the X-Men and Corsair up. It's the Starjammers!

The X-Men ask if there's anything the Starjammers can do to help Colossus, and luckily they have a life support system on the ship. Colossus is hooked up to it.

On the OTHER Shi'ar ship, Admiral Samédar gives Nightcrawler and Kitty an update on the X-Men's attempt to rescue Lilandra. He shows Deathbird stabbing Colossus with the piece of metal, but says he doesn't know if Colossus has survived. Kitty and Nightcrawler are furious. They believe Samédar won't give them more information just to hurt them.

And they're right. It is revealed that Samédar is working WITH Deathbird! He has contacted her to tell her that the X-Men and Starjammers are now working together.

On Deathbird's ship, the Professor dreams of the Brood and Lilandra. He wakes up to see Lilandra! They are reunited!

Deathbird enters the room and tells Lilandra to cede the Shi'ar throne to her. Deathbird reveals that she is Lilandra's older sister, and (she believes) the rightful heir to the throne. Lilandra tries to fight her, but Deathbird is too strong. Deathbird leaves, and locks Xavier and Lilandra in the room.

On the Starjammers' ship, Scott and Christopher seem to start making amends. They discuss the losses of Jean and Katherine (Christopher's wife).

FLASHBACK

Again, we see the plane crash. Scott and Alex drifting down with a parachute. The parachute catches on fire. Christopher and Katherine believe their sons must be about to fall to their deaths. And then the Shi'ar beam Christopher and Katherine onto their ship. Christopher is taken as a slave for the Shi'ar. Katherine appears to be some type of concubine for the Shi'ar Emperor D'Ken. Christopher tries to save Katherine, but D'Ken kills her!

Back to the present, Scott and Christopher have forgiven each other. They've both been through a LOT. Hepzibah interrupts them to tell them that they're coming up on Deathbird's ship. They move to intercept.

BUT A HUGE SPACE WHALE CREATURE SWALLOWS BOTH SHIPS!

Inside the space whale are large groups of buildings, like cities. There are docking stations for spaceships too. It's super weird! The Starjammers' ship docks at one of the stations. The ship is connected to a tunnel, and the Brood gather in the tunnel, waiting to open the doors to the ship.

BUHWHOOM!

The doors launch outward, knocking all the Brood off their feet. It's Colossus who blew open the doors. He's alive and he's PISSED. The X-Men and Starjammers start killing all the Brood.

Elsewhere in the space whale, the Brood discuss how powerful the X-Men and Starjammers are. The Brood believe the humans will make "splendid hosts for the Mother-Queen."

Cyclops and Corsair find Lilandra and Professor Xavier on Deathbird's ship (also docked in the space whale) and save them from some Brood that are about to kill them. The Professor is able to jump up since they are in zero-gravity and he psi-bolts some of the Brood. They head back to the Starjammers' ship.

Storm and Deathbird are fighting outside the docking bays, and Deathbird is able to open up a hole in the side of the space whale, causing Storm to be sucked out into space! Luckily, the Starjammers and the X-Men have blasted themselves out of the docking bay and out of the space whale. They beam Storm inside. She's fine.

Storm and the Professor have realized that the space whale is a sentient being and a slave to the Brood. It's brain functions have been deliberately destroyed.

The Starjammers and X-Men rush to bring Lilandra back to Chancellor Araki...
