I keep seeing Takes about how recent media like Glass Onion and The Menu aren’t taking “eat the rich” seriously enough to launch real change or revolution and like?? yeah??? popular crowd-pleasing entertainment where horrible rich people Suffer A Comeuppance for the pleasure of an audience is one of the oldest tropes in all of human history???? It is a crowd pleaser! It is the bread (ha) and butter of the Western canon! It is in Chaucer it is in Dante it is in Shakespeare it is the stuff of Dickens and 95% of Agatha Christie and almost every teen movie ever made??????? “look at these horrible rich idiots and hypocrites…and now enjoy their DESTRUCTION” transcends time and space and historical moments! It is so strange to be surprised that Hollywood returns to this well without any intention of seeking anything more transgressive than an audience having a hearty chuckle lmao

Anthology movies remind me of the feel when my family recorded until three movies onto VHS tapes, so I watched more than one movie on the VHS, imagining like it was all a never ending movie telling more than one story.

My two favorite movies, Fantasia and Mario Bava's Black Sabbath, are anthology movies!

They are for me the most underrated genre.

I love Anthology movies (Films that tell multiple seperate stories ) but have noticed some folks I know dont like them

Posters Of The Killer

For Anthology Of The Killer I was extremely lucky to be able to work once more with mysterious comix genius A. Degen, who did a custom poster for each game in the series. When the idea came up it was something we discussed as like, the slightly off-model and distorted versions of game's plot and imagery, like with movie posters, videogame box-art, horror manga covers.. I hope for people coming into the games blind, the experience of trying to work out what the games are about from the posters and then going back and seeing how they reflect what's actually in the games afterwards is part of the fun.

If you enjoyed the posters please read his comic The Marchenoir Library, a collection of book covers for a fictional(?) longrunning pulp serial that was a big inspiration on the games.
