—love, the person who sent in the poll ((and who honestly thought you would have a three way tie with lynda and real neil)) and who sent that poll as a joke to see if i could trick people into thinking there was a fake neil account. Which to clarify. There is not.

Well firstly I would like to thank the 2494 people who voted for me, even though I heartily disagree with them. I think I should thank my tour manager, stage director, and the rest of the cast and crew. Also my wife and son, who remind me that there is more to life than internet points. This will really show them.

But in all seriousness, this was very surreal. Even more surreal to have heard about it from my sister, who had it sent to her by a friend. I still think I seriously biased the results by reblogging, but even so… crazy. You guys are all crazy. Thanks for being so kind, welcoming, and appreciative. It's a constant joy to me.

Emilio’s signature spell/unique magic:

“This is True”

Allows him to truthfully answer almost any question asked of him about the person asking. He functions as something of an oracle.

While it grants Emilio a level of all-knowingness, it is limited in scope with many stipulations.

• “This is True” can only provide answers that relate to the person asking, not about anyone else nor matters outside of the person asking. So, he isn’t exactly useful in terms of trying to get dirt on others via his magic. He cannot do that. And he can’t ask the questions.

• There must be physical contact with him and the person asking the question. Palm-to-palm is his go-to, but it doesn’t seem to matter.

• Emilio‘s magic will not allow him to hide the truth once he has received a proper answer to a question, whether he or the receiver likes the answer or not.

• A person can as ask as many questions about their past and present as they like (within reason, obviously not in a single round). It will always be true. He can tell you things about yourself that you may have forgotten about like a memory, or where you left your keys. Whatever one can think of so long as it’s about themselves.

• A person may ask about their future, but they only can ask one question and receive one answer. Once someone ask a question about their future in any capacity they cannot ask Emilio any question about their future ever again. Period. So don’t waste it, or don’t ask. The future is far too uncertain, but his answer will always be a true one out of many possibilities, if vague. Besides, he doesn’t like doing it!!

It is currently unknown how much his magic will evolve, if at all. The limited scope makes his magic accumulate little blot, though it can accumulate much faster if it’s about the future. Yay for caps.

Note: The spell name is Esteban’s catchphrase. Emilio’s magic inspiration is primarily derived from Esteban’s habit of warning people and predicting events that nobody around him heeds, and usually being right. In Elena of Avalor, that kinda sets off his weird betrayal flip-flopping villain arc he never commits to. Emilio’s magic also doubles as a reference to the Oracle in Aladdin and The King of Thieves which I only realized after the fact. Neat.

hibiscia!!! Sorry if youve explained before but is there something specific about reset-remember fics that you hate? I don't really like them either but for me it's just because I feel like a lot of authors type sans in very ooc ways

They're completely antithetical to Sans' character arc for the sake of cheap and easy angst. The nature of his brand of cosmic horror isn't in reliving his life again and again, that's Flowey's. Sans knows OF the anomaly, knows that it's manipulating time and knows it's a threat to the entire universe, but he doesn't know how or why, because he doesn't remember.

And that's crucial! him being mostly in the dark in spite of the MANY warning signs about us... because it's in that doubt that he remains hopeful. YES we could potentially end the world... but what if we don't? yes we have unimaginable power over everyone else and we can bring back time, but what if we're just.... sad? he needs that gap in his knowledge so he can take a leap of faith across it, it's his entire character arc in the pacifist run. sans THINKS he's given up, he wants to have given up, he chose to do it because there's a comfort in that. in contenting yourself with good food and bad laughs. there's peace. but he hasn't given up, not really. on himself? maybe. but not in us.

there's no way to have that arc if he remembers resets.

I don't remember last I mentioned it but apart from crude nicknames to people (except Chris), he also just puts them in his phone really weird (except Chris, who is literally in his phone as Chris). And I bring this up because in Right's phone, Karen is saved as "Lawful Obligation".

hello. my eye is still twitching but GOD the most recent rambles and rp bits that ange posted made my heart ACHE for scar. he's being so completely and totally overlooked here by multiple other hermits (like his own pain and trauma don't matter) and uuughhhghhghhghhg. anyway poking you to talk more about scar's thoughts and feelings throughout that all IF you would so like (so i can sob and weep and cry and continue to distract myself from work)

Oh gosh, it's bad honestly.

Because Scar knows where his heart is at, he knows he'd never do anything purposely cruel to Grian. But he can't speak for Grian's intentions. The Hermits are concerned that Grian is seeking out self-destruction with their antics and well... Scar just doesn't know.

The safest option for him is to simply wait it out. They put a pause to the rougher side of things, and honestly, that's fine! Scar could continue their relationship like this and he would still be happy. But...is it really their decision? Or are they letting other people think for them? People who don't know their experiences. People who don't know what it means, why they do these things in the first place.

But Scar feels like he has to keep these thoughts to himself. It feels impossible to remove his own desires from the equation if he speaks up, and he wants this to ultimately be Grian's choice.

(But keeping quiet means letting the Hermits have all the influence.)

He also feels like he's being held to a higher standard than is fair because of his seemingly violent nature. He has to appear more put-together and tame when he's around the Hermits. He has to hold back the claws, the teeth, the growling, and even his wings because they simply serve as reminders of his battered and ghastly nature.

And isn't it a little ironic to be hiding wings again? Somewhere where they're supposed to be safe to be themselves?

Grian's trauma results in him being withdrawn and skittish. People see that and pity him, which is a whole mess of its own, of course, but... Scar's trauma resulted in him growing defensive and on edge, ready to fight when normally he'd flee. ...It's harder to empathize with.

The Hermits don't realize what it is the two of them had to do to survive. All they see are sharp edges that they think need to be sanded down.

When the sleepover comes around, Scar practices a simple mantra: soft little kitten paws. Keep his claws retracted. Be gentle and charismatic-- all the aspects of the old Scar that the Hermits want him to be. He wears a dress shirt and a cozy-looking sweater vest. He gets a fresh haircut and combs it back. He uses his cane both because he's anxious and needs the crutch, but also because he hopes it makes him appear more harmless.

... and yet things still go wrong.

You couldn’t hear anything but the beating of your heart…it was so loud..you didn’t realize Miguel was behind you until he caught you.

He was hugging you but you tried to get out off it. “LET ME GO MIGUEL!” “NO! I’m your father and…and I’m sorry..” you froze..if you were that same five year old waiting for him to pick you up and apologize you would’ve forgiven him with the words but your not that kid anymore. “I’m sorry I left you, I was so stupid and I shouldn’t have done that. I’m so sorry that I wasn’t there for you when I should’ve. I’m so sorry that I wasn’t a good dad but I can fix that so please forgive me!” You started crying, you didn’t like this and kept trying to get out of his hold.

“Let..me go!…please!” Your words were said but between sobs, you didn’t like this. Miguel just held you closer and tighter while shushing you like your mom does. You hated it! He wasn’t your dad! He was the man that left you for something you had no control over! “Please just forgive me…please” you kept hitting his chest trying to get out. You were overwhelmed but wanted your REAL family so you won’t stop fighting him

So, I've been thinking for quite a long time about what kind of ijag fanart to draw, but couldn’t come up with any good ideas. And then it hit me. It seems that @voidchillz once mentioned that it would be cool to have IJAG! Sans and Anomaly sing “Take on me” by A-ha. Well, your requests have been heard! I thought, why not, besides, this song has been one of my favorites for a long time already. I know that this thing is far from perfect as I’m just a novice in art, but I still tried my best!

(In general, I thought that this clip not only fits Sansnomaly, but basically shows how we get attached to the characters. In the beginning, we plunge headlong into a fictional world, sometimes thanks to just one character. Then, when the plot ends, the fictional character moves into our world, living in our heart. And no one can take them away from us anymore.)
