A: Annabeth Wayne is a crossover where Annabeth Chase (PJO) is Bruce Wayne's (Batman) daughter. The crossover primarily leans towards her being his biological daughter, but adopted would be fine too!

other details for that annabeth wayne au I was talking about earlier, but honestly they apply to any DCxPJO crossover I write, just as a baseline to establish how canons fit together:

-the amazons of Themyscira are only vaguely aware of the amazons of Capitalism over in Seattle. The American ones are a splinter group sort of like the amazons of Bana-Mighdall. None of them were aware the capitalism amazons had Hippolyta’s Belt until Percy mentions Hylla-Twice-Kill to Diana, who has a lot of realizations at once and decides she should probably talk to the capitalism amazons asap

-In the same way Kym’s home in the Mediterranean was an abandoned Atlantis that Poseidon left behind as the Greek world moved west, so is Arthur/Aquaman’s Atlantis (thank you RR for having a built-in canonical excuse for there being multiple Atlanti). The dc Atlanteans have their own history and mythology surrounding the founding of the city, but it is built on the bones of what once was Poseidon’s palace

-Cassie Sandsmark is a year or two younger than Jason Grace here. I’m simplifying her backstory a bit and just having her straight up be a daughter of Zeus instead of the power granting/later child reveal thing from the comics. Annabeth learns that Zeus had a THIRD kid (second Greek kid!!) and crashes out sooooo damn hard about it. Thalia and Cassie get on like a house on fire and that’s a threat.

-Crashout number two is learning about Captain Marvel and the fact that he has the powers of both Roman and Greek gods (so they can collaborate on THIS but not on uniting their own children???). Crashout number three is remembering he has the powers of Solomon too and realizing that probably means capitol-G-God exists too and will probably be her problem as well

-Black Adam and Shazam quickly become the 21st Nome’s problem instead because the Greeks, Romans, AND Norse really don’t want to deal with them and their magic so they make Carter and Sadie do it instead

-therefore, despite having mostly affiliations with Greek/Roman gods, Billy hangs out with the Egyptians most of the time. They’re better with magic, anyways.

Am currently obsessed with the idea of annabeth returning to Gotham and becoming a crime boss allied with red hood/like an adviser of sorts to him partly because if she’s the princess of Gotham, she’s running it her way, and partly as revenge against bruce, because if a 7 year old he neglected could kill to survive, he could kill to avenge his son. She’s very strong on the no messing with kids rule for obvious reasons, and she doesn’t see robin as an exception to that because she is not plagued by pit rage. She has a very confusing (to them) relationship to the bats cuz she openly hates Batman, and will taunt him by putting robin in supposed danger, but never actually hurts him and anyone who does hurt him is made to see the error of their ways through somewhat violent means.

She acts mainly as damage control to Jason when it comes to Tim, because he’s her big brother and she’s trying to subtly break the influence of the pit over time. She either stops Jason before titans tower when she learns what he’s planning or goes to confront him there. Then, later, when Damian joins the family, she taunts Bruce about his dead daughter, using details no one else should know, and dramatically reveals herself. (Sadly, I am the only person who can write it the way i want it to be written, and will not ever write it)

Annabeth getting a call from Talia (incredibly alarming to her btw) and seeing Jason doing his vengeance shtick: Maybe I should go back to Gotham and check that he’s okay.

Grover who’s about to set out on his Percy Supervision Mission in Yancy Academy: Please for the love of all the gods be good.

Luke would be fine with letting her go since while he’s a bit weird about her it’s still a sibling-like bond and the idea of 12-year old Annabeth with beefed up Jason standing in front of the world’s worst criminals brings me joy.

Annabeth, walking into Jason’s apartment after six minutes of making sure his neurosis were the same: Damn bitch you live like this? After all my architecture rants too??

Jason: Are you a fucking ghost?

Annabeth: Are you?

Annabeth is very clear about being Annabeth and doing her whole leaving the Wayne name behind forever to Jason who kind of struggles to wrap his head around cute and shy Anna being this terrifyingly smart monstrosity. She makes his plans even more sick and twisted, plays around with the ambiance and the clues and makes sure that it can only be traced back to the Red Hood and not Jason Todd. Which means she tortured Dick psychologically at several points in the middle of other villain fights to see which reactions she can use against Bruce more subtly so that’s fun.

Dick, on his third mental breakdown of the month about Anna: I miss her so much I wish we tried harder to find her!

Annabeth, writing it down from where she’s hiding: Making the cases be increasingly similar to what happened to me has produced results. Find a demigod and recreate case with Bruce to torment his further.

Tim was originally barely a factor to Annabeth because she doesn’t really care for him unlike Jason and Jason’s plans on what to do with him seemed sane enough but after he mentioned that he wanted to get into Titan’s Tower Annabeth arranged for something on the Drake’s end to pull Tim away for a while and convinced Jason to focus on the Joker plan again. Annabeth is extremely against involving anyone who isn’t Bruce, Joker, Alfred and Dick in her plans and only occasionally considers adding Barbara. So when Jason shows clear interest in hurting Tim as a way to get back at Bruce she moves up her whole timeline and has ten different plans running to keep Tim out of the country at first then away from where Jason would be by orchestrating a few YJ fights until Jason tells her to fight Tim herself since he can’t get there in time.

Annabeth: Fight him? By myself?

Jason: Yeah, I believe in you *cuts the call*

Annabeth:…Fuck it, I’ll do a Riddler impression and hope for the best

said impression is completely terrifying and taken out of a saw movie basically and Tim is now wary of ever approaching a truck (which was actually a monster) since it. somehow threw him into a building and shattered three of his ribs. Annabeth continues running interference like this as she tries to keep Jason on task with ‘make Bruce kill the Joker’ scheme.

Eventually she’s called back to Camp after Percy shows up and Annabeth decides she needs someone to keep an eye on Jason and the whole plan thing so she sends Julieta, her godly half-sister, to keep him on track.

Julieta infiltrating Gotham Academy during the last three weeks of classes: This is so stupid.

Jason: I don’t care, tell me his habits and schedule.

Julieta: Do you get off talking to me like that?

Jason:…I’m sorry.

Basically all of TLT happens and Annabeth returns to Gotham immediately after the summer solstice which enrages Luke who speeds up his plans a bit and Percy is saved by the naiads and Annabeth is now double heartbroken and back in a city that encourages her to fester in her rage.

She lets Jason loose on Bruce and the Joker as she kidnapped Tim and uses him to torture Dick and Babs as she uses references to all of Jason’s career as Robin to guide them while taunting that she knows who they are and making another Saw trap. Meanwhile Tim has been given a slice of ambrosia and feels like he’s dying, he’s not but his godly heritage is diluted by four generations so it’s real bad pain.

Annabeth: It’s this or processing my emotions, Timothy, and I’m a Wayne, so down the hatch!

Tim, writhing in agony and shaking as Ares pretends not to notice him for six hours before helping him: Am I on drugs?

Things go down, Jason reveals himself, Bruce in a fit of desperation tries to cut his throat open but Julieta who helped in said Joker kidnapping stabs him thought the arm and Joker who was wisely knocked out by Julieta’s during the jokernapping is rescued by his henchmen while Jason has a mental breakdown and Bruce is dumped in the Batmobile by a truly done Julieta

And that’s all I can think of right now.

I recently watched Superman (2025) and now its canon for me along with Batman (2022).

So, here are my headcanons for Annabeth Wayne AU

1. Why did it take me so much time to learn that Lous Lane is canonically dyslexic? I hc that she and Bruce meet in college and become friends not a shocker since they both are unhinged. Anyways, this leads for Bruce to create so many aids through WE for people with learning disabilities.

This is why Waynes know Annabeth is dyslexic from the beginning. Annabeth isn't frustrated by her dyslexia since she has her godmother to look up to.

2. Annabeth's favourite superhero is Mr. Terrific. No further discussion. *cue sad batfam and Clark*

3. When Metropolis citizens were evacuating some even went to Gotham. Additional point to the eternal Gotham vs Metropolis rivalry.

Day 1 - Social Media for the Annabeth Wayne Event!

Dick would admit that he spent far too much time on the internet. It was stupid really. But sometimes all alone in Bludhaven, it was the only way he got news about his family. A stray video of them flying through the skies. A post about being saved. It was nice to get reminders of his family.

They may have gotten better at communicating but sometimes the only direction of travel from the earth's core was up. Besides, it gave him something to do when he was bored. Mindlessly scrolling on Twitter was a time honored tradition. One he happily participated in, especially on days like today when he really had nothing to do.

Right now, he was absently mindly looking at phots from an artist he followed. Most of them were quite good. A bunch of action shots, and landscapes. She was one of Bruce's colleges daughters. Dick thought her climate change posts were inspiring and the way she fought with celebrities was hilarious.

One particular post caught his eye and he paused on it. It was a photo, a group of teenagers, maybe seven or eight grinned at teh camera.

At first he didn't know why he paused. There was nothing about this photo that made it any more interesting than any of the others. Until, he took a second look at the girl to the far right. Blonde hair, piercing grey eyes. For the briefest of moments, he was convinced he was looking at an older Annabeth, one who managed to survive to grow up. She was so beautiful.

Then Dick's common sense caught up to him. He shook his head. What on earth was he thinking? Annabeth had disappeared at seven. No seven year old could make it all the way to New York. Besides, the longer he looked at the girl, the more differences he saw. Her nose was all wrong, her jawline sharper than Bruce's ever had been. Her skin was pale while Annabeth had always gotten so so tan in the sun.

It wasn't her. It so clearly wasn't her. But oh god her eyes were the the same piercing grey that haunted his dreams.

Dick turned his phone off, tossing it on to the coffee table. He had spent far too much time doomscrolling if he was seeing decade old ghosts in teenagers.

i think the reason i enjoy making annabeth a wayne or wayne adjacent is that the majority of characters in the batman cannon are either seeking, assuming, or rejecting fatherhood. there is something so tender about a man who’s parents were dead before he could hit puberty being raised and finding a father in the old butler of his ancestral home and then going on to curate his own flock of fatherless birds. then there’s annabeth chase, my golden girl, who has all these almost father figures (frederick, chiron, luke) none of whom seem willing to fully commit to that role. she is a persistent afterthought and doesn’t that just make you ache for her?

i think i find it kinder to give her to bruce, even though it’s niche and completely absurd if you break it down. it’s the least i can do just to give her an older brother or two who might look out for her.

just makes me hurt a little less on her behalf y’know?

Annabeth daughter of Batman?

So I discovered that Annabeth daughter of Batman is a thing on AO3. While the concept is fun so many fics have it be super angsty where Annabeth has trauma of being a Wayne and that she doesn't want to see her family or that Bruce is a shit dad. Bruce in the comics while not perfect does his damn best to be a parent for his batfam. Just once I would like a fic where Annabeth does love them and visits them in secret albeit due to liking her privacy

I may or may not have another both Frederick and Bruce are Annabeth’s dad through the power of magic idea. So, Annabeth ends up with Frederick by 7, because she and Magnus need to have some sort of relationship. She gets dragged into looking for Magnus, goes to his funeral, inherits the Chase mansion, all that good stuff. She starts the Magnus Chase foundation for Homeless Youth, because Magnus can’t legally run a youth shelter.

She ropes Piper and Rachel into helping her fundraise, and Wayne Enterpises ends up as a sponsor. They do a charity gala and obviously they meet a very much not a child Annabeth. Bruce is torn between there is no way she survived this long and also she looks exactly like Anna-Elizabeth.

Annabeth obviously knows who Bruce is, and the entire accepting WE as a sponsor was so she could extort him for money in exchange for her coming home. (And then angst ensues, because what’s the point without angst)

At first they think it’s a clone. The young woman is nothing like Anna, always clothed in white or pink to reveal the stains of her outside romps to Alfred. But she smiles at them, fake but the tooth, oh the tooth, is missing. The one Alfred found spit out in the sink.

A yearly 7 million dollar donation in turn for seven months of Annabeth’s time.

The deal doesn’t sound so bad when you’re as desperate as a man as Bruce. Lonely in a too big house once again, children leaving the nest. Even if she’s only doing it for a cousin he has no part in.

My fancast for PJO because I think we all should imagine as we please to without people being awful to us.

I grew up reading books so blonde Annabeth was always in my head but Leahbeth is doubtlessly brilliant. Before that I had never imagined Annabeth any other way though I headcanoned Percy as Cuban and Grover as Black.

After seeing Leah as Annabeth and Walker as Percy I wondered why stop there? Why can't we have these characters as every ethnicity as we please?

Because our favourite characters often are those who look like us, speak the same language, have the same culture, food, music, upbringing, like us. It makes them more relatable to us. Leah's casting has included black culture through Annabeth (maybe its just me but I didn't see much of black culture in this fandom before Leahbeth) so here we are let's make these characters more ours. Racists can hate all they want.

Annabeth Wayne Event 2025! Day 7 -character death (freebie)

"Bruce Wayne speaking" Bruce answered the phone. He rubbed a hand over his face. He had spent far too much time in his office chair recently. It wasn't good for the old injuries.

"Oh holy shit." A boy's voice answered. A young boy, probably a teenager. Bruce would have thought it was a prank, but the boy sounded as if he had been crying. A flash of alarm went through him. Sometimes, rarely but sometimes, people called Bruce Wayne when they needed help. His connection with Batman was Gotham worst kept secret.

"Did you mean to call this number." Bruce said gently, ears straining to hear anything in the background of the call. There was a low mummer of voices but he couldn't make out any words.

"Ye-Yes. yes I did. Sorry, I didn't - I wasn't aware. Never mind." The boy stumbled over his words, before seeming to pull himself together. He sent a quick message to Oracle to track the phone. Within moments she had responded.

Give me five minutes.

"It's alright." Bruce said into the phone. Trying to stall for time. "Do you need something?"

"Right. Okay." The boy took a deep breath. "This is about your...daughter?"

Cass was in Japan. He loved Steph but she didn't count to the wider public. There was always -

But no, Annabeth was long dead. There was no reason for some young boy to call about her over a decade later. To entrain such an idea only lead to ruin. He had been down that path before. He wasn't going down it again.

"My daughter?"

"Annabeth Cha-Wayne."

Bruce had long since trained himself out of freezing. Those were the kinds of habits that got you killed in his line of work. Still, the breath caught in his chest. It was a name he had never dared to hope to hear again. But the boy said it so confidently. Easily, stumbling over the last name but not the first. As if he had said it before.

Perhaps he had been friends with Annabeth. Perhaps she had gotten somewhere safe all those years ago. God, what would she look like as an adult? Would her hair have darken? Would her face still look like his fathers? Would -

"I'm sorry to tell you this sir. But Annabeth is dead, she died a hero's death and will be reward greatly. I'm sorry for your loss."
