Someone in Gotham points out that buildings are just big boxes with people inside them. The Box Ghost overhears this. Chaos ensues.

It was complete and utter chaos.

The Box Ghost was cackling menacingly as he picked up buildings with his powers and stacked them on top of each other. Each building creaked ominously with the weight but the ghost didn’t even care, just happily and maniacally collecting more buildings, while crying out, “Fear me!! I am the Box Ghost!!”

Spirit shrieked, "Okay! Who's the dickwad that told the Box Ghost that buildings were boxes?!"

Oracle very helpfully said, "It's a man by the name of Thomas Roberts who mentioned it while having a conversation with a friend."

Spirit looked her friends, who grimly nodded. Impulse put his hands together in a prayer and solemnly said, "RIP Thomas Roberts, you should've just stayed silent."

Red Robin sighed and said, "No one is killing him. Spirit, I called you over here because Batman and I aren't able to handle the Box Ghost. Can you take him on?"

"Can I take him on? Can I take the Box Ghost on?? Just say that you hate me and go," Spirit grumbled. She gestured over to Secret, who perked up.

"C'mon, Secret! Your first opponent from the Ghost Zone! Let's go!"

Secret beamed and then followed after Spirit as they both flew off.

The rest of Young Justice looked at each other for a moment.

“Okay,” Wonder Girl said. “Superboy, Robin, you three should stay and help Spirit and Secret. Impulse, you should go and evacuate civilians out of the building. Empress and I are going to hunt down Thomas Roberts.”

They all nodded, except Red Robin, who put his head in his hands.

“B is never going to let me stay alone in Gotham anymore,” Red Robin bemoaned.

Impulse patted his head. “Aww, it’ll be okay! They’ll just beat up the guy a little.”

Robin looked up with a glare. “Do not hunt down a civilian! Not even if Spirit will be happy about it!”

Wonder Girl and Empress looked at each other and then looked at Red Robin with wide, pleading eyes. “Pleaseee? C’mon, just think of how happy Spirit would be! You know how much she likes it when we hunt people down for her!”

Red Robin struggled for a long moment. Then he pointed at where Spirit and Secret were still fighting the Box Ghost and barked, “Just hurry up and help her! And no one’s leaving the vicinity to hunt down Thomas Roberts!”

Everyone groaned and then complied, with Wonder Girl grumbling under her breath as Empress patted her shoulder comfortingly.

In the comms, Oracle was silent for awhile before she then said slowly, “Wow.”

Red Robin sounded exhausted.

“I don’t want to hear it.”

Amazons Week Day 5: Legend // Truth

This is such an interesting pannel to me because Cassie is projecting on Tim hardcore right now. Because Tim is having a heart to heart with his dad at about that time. Jack doesn't even know who tim is and yet tim seeks him out for advice. And tim drake never doubting himself? Never worrying? that's like his favorite hobby, the man is endlessly paranoid.

It seems like Cassie is picking out the traits that she wants for herself and is projecting them onto her ideal hero. Or at least one she thinks she can compare to, this is still pretty early in Cassie's where she has a hard time believing she could live up to Diana's and Donna's legacies. So she picked Tim who is the ideal sidekick (or at least seems like it) and someone she admires but still can reliably compare herself to (because she knows he's a little freak.).

She's using this idealized version of Robin to explain to her mother that's who she wants be. She wants to be more independent and worry less and really show that's she starting to grow into herself. And it comes across here so well as she was literally seeing what she would look like as a grownup (this is from sins of youth) and really stepping in to wear Donna's costume for one of the first times with confidence.

Cassie, Bart and Kon: *all line up and stand at attention*

Tim: When I say don’t add to the population, I mean…?

Cassie, Bart and Kon in unison: Do not get pregnant, get someone else pregnant, clone someone, give a robot or Artificial Intelligence a consciousness or mess with the time stream and accidently increase fertility rates again.

Tim, nodding in approval: And when I say don’t remove from the population…?

Cassie, Bart and Kon: Don’t kill anyone or thing that has a soul or consciousness directly or inadvertently unless through the legal system or if it’s a genuine accident, in which it is not our fault.

Tim, rubbing his eyes tiredly and yawning: If you’re going to leave the planet or time period?

Cassie, Bart and Kon: Tell you or a trusted adult.

Tim: and who is a trusted adult?

Cassie, Bart and Kon: WonderWoman, Superman, Oracle, and Batman between 1 am to 11 pm only.

Tim: good job, gold stars all round.

Cassie, Bart and Kon: YES!
