Mixing up a special cocktails of ativan, ibuprofen, thc, and Jack Daniels to bring myself some holiday cheer today!!!
I've got my toolbox ready to deal with whatever the inlaws bring to the party today. Also Idgie (dog; queen) is coming so hopefully she will be the perfect angel/distraction/comfort item.

One of my many chronic conditions involves eye issues, I literally just did a “Field of Vision” test,, the eye that’s currently blurry and difficult is soooo stressful because I could feel the panic building in me. I think I flunked lmao
I felt similarly when I was tested for ADHD and everything with that, where I was so sad and stressed because I KNEW I was getting the right answers for me… But I also know that I didn’t perform as if my eye was actively working…
Geezums… the machine LITERALLY makes a noise right when the little light will flash in your peripheral vision and I fucking could SEE ANYTHING.

I have an aggressive form of arthritis
Called "Anklyosing Spondylitis" that causes my immune system to attack my spine and large joints. I am often exhausted due to this. Like, incapable of staying awake exhausted. And that morning exercise you're supposed to do forces me down for a nap, even with coffee and pre-workout. Which I should not take.
Thanks to the anti-vaxxers; I can't talk about the anthrax vaccine in a negative light--A shot you're required to take as many as 8 times when deployed.
Now there is a correlation between the anthrax shot and a certain genetic marker: HLA-B27. This is the military's argument on the subject; that those with HLA-B27 are just "pre-disposed" to this form of arthritis.
However; there's many people who have taken the anthrax shot and have Anklyosing Spondylitis and not HLA-B27.
And so I'm at this age where Medical Practicioners and the Elderly look at me like: "You're too young to have arthritis, and even if you do; I've had it for years!"
Not like this you haven't; Despite my peak physical condition, and having done extensive manual labor for years; onlyfans and pornhub doesn't count *grandma*. That's closer to pilates than physical labor.
And this is how I'm seen *by my OWN family* who see "Trans" first and not "Oh, s/he did extensive physical labor for years AND has an extreme malady".
Nope. Fuck You. You haven't put in the work like I have. You haven't earned your pain like *I* have.
And you know who doesn't talk about it, despite still helping out when people ask?
And never have I ever asked a favor in return.
You don't see the pain I'm in, because I'm good at grinning and bearing it. You told me to suck it up, and I did.
I expected the same from you.

It's completely selfish of me. It's hard sometimes, having a partner with an autoimmune disease. I don't mind taking care if him. But I miss getting snuggles when I'm sick. I have to isolate myself because we can't risk him getting sick. I know it's selfish, I just miss him.

Dear spoonies with muscle pain! Have you tried stuff with lidocaine in it like aspercreme and find that it works a bit but want something stronger and easier to apply? Go on Amazon or to a sex shop and look for desensitized spray! Aspercreme has about 10% lidocaine in it while the spray tends to have 20%. I recommend applying both with gloves unless you need your hands to be a bit numb. It really helps for bad days and when you're waiting for your pain meds to kick in. Be sure to always read the instructions! The spray that I use says that 3 to 5 is a good start, but you shouldn't exceed 10 sprays, and about how long it should take to kick in.

This is a reputable charity that tries to help find a cure for a disease, that I have, called Anklyosing Spondylitis. A mouthful, eh? I can say from personal experience that this disease SUCKS. It's annoying, it's incredibly painful(sometimes to the point of being unable to move) and it'd be absolutely amazing if this charity was donated to and awareness spread. This website has actually also directly helped me. Not monetarily, but just to learn about how it works, why it affects different parts of my body and why.

Happy disability pride month!
I'm a chronically ill/disabled gnc/nb gay trans man! I have chronic fatigue and spend most of my time in bed. I have AS (anklyosing spondylitis) which basically means my bones are trying to form into 1 big bone (its more complex than that tho!) I also have nerve damage and immune problems. Bc of this and my inability to work I don't have much money to my name.
If anyone would be kind enough to buy me anything off my comfort wishlist that would be nice, it has stuff that would help me be more comfortable/have more accessibility in my own home AND stuff for the two dogs I am responsible for taking care of (one of which is also disabled).
Also check out my commissions.
Please spread this and thank you! Heres a sonic I drew for your troubles.
