So, we never got the proper slowburn transition we deserve of Bela going from heartless to her heart beating for the MC. So here's some headcannons and plot bunnies for how things would go after Bela finally got her heart back. Heck, how about we make it even more complicated and let Bela have her memories from previous time loops as well?

Okay, so here we go!!

(Also, quick note. MC is super dense here and can't get a hint)

You really didn't expect that just marching up to Headmistress Miranda and demanding Bela have her heart back would work. But it actually did. And it turns out, Bela did have her heart all along. It was just buried away under layers of whatever hoodoo magic Miranda used. You saw the change happen the minute those layers were taken away.

Bela even without her heart was a person who cared too much. That woman was willing to protect you from crazy cult leader Miranda even at the risk of her own life. Bela's care also showed in the love she has for her family. Let's just say Daniela is out of so much trouble only because Bela intervened all the times from background.

And now, Bela has her heart back. So, are there any noticeable changes? Oh, there are plenty! Although not as drastic as you thought. For starters, Bela still had her crazy work ethic to the T. She just doesn't force you to adopt it now. You are too sick to come to the council room? Bela will come to your dorm room with her soup and take care of you. But she'll also work besides your bedside while you sleep.

Another welcome change is Bela's trust issues piping down a bit. Older Bela refused to drink your coffee. Now, she'll actually pout if you forget to bring her coffee. And yes, you heard it right. Bela actually pouts these days. Especially at you, for some reason.

There is one thing though where Bela has gotten even more uptight ironically. And that's her interactions with her Playgirl sister Cassandra. Whenever Cassandra opens her mouth to ask you out on a date, Bela would make sure to threaten Cassandra with blocking funds for the theatre club. You're glad that Bela is being such a protective friend, but you do think blocking theatre funds is a bit overboard.

You also notice that Bela now shows animosity towards people she was completely fine with before. Exhibit A: Donna Beneviento, Angie's aunt had approached you with a job offer as her assistant at her flower shop. Before you could even reply, Bela popped up behind you, gripping your shoulders in a tight grip as she seethingly replied "No, my Vice President is too occupied in Student Council work with me." Hmm, strange. The interaction was almost like Donna has taken something away from Bela in some past life.

You also wish Bela would kind of stop paying for everything you buy. You get it, Bela feels indebted to you, but c'mon, buying you a rose gold necklace that has Dimiterescu family crest for your birthday is totally overboard! And can someone please ask Daniela and Angie to stop teasing you about how you got a sugar mommy for yourself?

Bela also is less uppity about being touched now. At least when it comes from you. You both have actually started to hug each other before going to your respective dorms. Bela now even initiates a lot of touches on her own! Like one time you fell asleep while working in Library with her, and you woke up with feeling Bela's long fingers lazily carding through your hair.

Lastly, you are also happy that you are getting to spend more time with Bela outside of student council work. Bela is a through and through Dimiterescu when it comes to setting up their hangout places. From museums to extraordinary cafes, Bela has taken you to all the places you can never dream to afford. You're no slacker either though, as you too are finally getting Bela to try fast food burgers and arcade games that Alcina will probably turn her nose up at. But Bela assures you that these hangouts mean the world to her. You're curious though why Bela always stumbles at the word "hangout"

I like drv3 talent swaps but I rlly wish ppl wouldn't just stick their 'ultimate leader' in dice. Like make up a new organization or just make them a leader of smth else, that's Kokichi's thing! They were important enough to Kokichi to be in his motive video, it's not like they're just random henchmen

Nearly everyone in drv3 had something else they could've led, none of them are connected to dice bc it wasn't designed for them. Like it doesn't even need to be a crime organization, that was tailored to Kokichi.

And you don't need to take away their entire personality because they're better at a different thing? Like gonta would still like bugs, it's like 90% of his personality. Let them lead something that has meaning to them instead of just y/n-ing them into dice. I'm gonna stick ideas under the cut bc like be creative?

Rantaro - idk him very well, didn't he raise his (many) sisters? Being a leader doesn't always mean they're in an organization/club

Kaede - stick her in a band? Or like a choir group. Leading a criminal organization would change her character a lot

Ryoma - tennis team? Idk much about sports. Or like a prison gang bc didn't he say he went to prison

Kirumi - ngl you wouldn't have to change a single thing there, she's the president already

Angie - student council? Or like a priest

Tenko - idk her that well but like lead some kinda akido group? Like a martial arts club. Dice has dudes so she definitely wouldn't be their leader

Like they literally could've just led a group project rlly well, it doesn't need to be dice. I once read a fic where the new leader was literally just Kokichi with a name change. Sometimes it rlly seems like people want a roleswap instead of a talent swap and like there are so many options!

I'm back, baby! This is just a short little blurb, but there will be more & longer new stuff soon.

You knew you were staring at the future in more ways than one. Your heart was feeling lighter, and the dark storm clouds of what could be receding in your mind. The sunshine warmth of hope once again present as you watched the awe struck look on America's face as she watched Kamala Harris accept the Democratic nomination for President of the United States.

A woman, and not just any woman, but a woman of color, standing poised and ready to lead the country. You remember watching Hillary accept the nomination in 2016 with a sense of solidarity and the thought of “it's about damn time” planning in your head, but even then, it didn't feel like this. Why was it different this time? Why was the thought of a female president so energizing?

Maybe it's because now you and Stephen essentially had a teenage daughter to raise. Or by New York's phrasing, that you were legal guardians of. Maybe it's because of the fall of Roe and having to once again fight for rights that had been legally protected for nearly half a century. Maybe it's because of all the other rights and freedoms that were now openly under attack from the right and the Supreme Court. Maybe it's because you were technically a childless cat lady, at least by the other parties own wording, and you wanted to make damn certain Vance knew you did in fact have a direct stake in where your country was going. You just wouldn't be going back to the past.

You were both unaware of the sorcerer standing in the doorway, carefully studying both of you. His movements towards the loveseat you were sat in eventually making you turn your attention to him. A soft, sweet smile on his face as his lowered himself to sit next to you. Immediately putting an arm up for you to settle in under. Your body instinctively curling into his as your attention drifted back to the television. 

The sound of applause and cheers erupted from the convention crowd, and balloons came toppling down on both the stage and the crowd. Kamala Harris now stood with her family, her husband, and two step-children on one side of her. On the other side was her vice presidential pick, Tim Walz, and his family. Smiles and laughter filling the screen.

Their joy was palpable, and their smiles were contagious. America wore a matching one, and now so did you. Even Stephen was smirking as he watched you both. 

He leaned in and placed a kiss on the side of your head, brushing your hair back to see your face clearly. Seeing the wheels turning in your mind, he couldn't help but posit a question. A serene smile on your face as you moved to snuggle into Stephen's side.

“What's going on in there?”

Without looking away from your adopted daughter and her elation, you answered. 

“Hope.”

You helped repair her relationship with Daniela.

Turning off the stove, she went to look for you in the room only to find you sleeping with the television on, seeing the calm on your face, memories of other nights returned to her mind.

It was two in the morning and Bela was woken up by your sobbing.  Quickly getting up from her bed, she approached your body that was wrapped in the sheet.

"Don't leave me, I'll be better, don't leave me, please "

You couldn't find peace even in your dreams.

Bela knew about your nightmares, Angie and Daniela had told her that after the fourth month that Cassandra was gone you started having nightmares that left you emotionally destroyed.  To the point that you preferred to avoid sleeping by drinking energy drinks, spending the nights studying or working in order to keep your mind busy.

Bela knows that she shouldn't, that it's not her place but your crying broke the heart that you had given her back.  She delicately sat on the bed and held you in her arms, ignoring the satisfaction it gave her to feel how you clung to her.  Singing softly she caressed your back, she didn't stop even after your crying stopped and your breathing calmed down, she continued until sleep overcame her.

Without your memories, will you have nightmares again?  Will your subconscious give you fragments of your life back through dreams?

Looking at the clock she decided to take the opportunity to take a bath.

It's not like they can leave.  You are the only person they know here.

You loved how the slightest compliment turned your Romanian goddess red.  She looked so cute.  Maybe you didn't remember her but there was an undeniable warmth in your chest every time you looked at her and peace wrapped around you like a blanket when you were close to her.

On the way to the kitchen you noticed the tension in her shoulders but before you could do anything, she spoke first.

Seeing the plate on the table, you felt nostalgic without knowing why.

Maybe your beloved cooked often?

Taking a bite, a satisfied moan came out without you realizing it.

"You know how to cook, you are very capable and gentle and you can carry me without difficulty, I won the lottery with you without a doubt."

The blonde was covering her face with her napkin but you could see how red she had turned at your words.

"Thank you"

They ate in comfortable silence.  When finished, the blonde commanded you to sit in the living room while she cleaned.  God you couldn't wait for your arm to heal so you could help her you didn't want to be a burden on her.  Sitting next to you, the tension in her shoulders had returned. She took a deep breath before she spoke.

"As you already know, we met while you were touring the clubs, the student council caught your attention and you decided to join. We worked together a lot of the time and we became friends, you invited me to your movie nights and you helped me little by little repair my relationship with Daniela. "

"Were you on bad terms?"

"The relationship with my family... It's complicated, I can't even refer to my mother as such. I prefer to call her by her name. Daniela and I grew up together but after I went to school and then to university without her our relationship foundered ...And my other sister... I prefer not to talk about that."

A slight pain came from your chest but you ignored it, placing your good hand over the one of the blonde who had lowered her head, you gave it a gentle squeeze.

"I'm glad I helped you with Daniela, family should stay together above all else"

You'll know.

Bela didn't look at you but she squeezed back.

"Someone stole something very important to me and you helped me get it back, I sounded like a crazy woman and you still believed me, after that the stress of everything caused me a mental and emotional breakdown, I was a mess."

You stopped breathing for a moment when Bela finally raised her face and you could see in her eyes a sea of ​​emotions, there was love, adoration, gratitude, there were so many that you felt like you were drowning in them.

"And you stayed with me despite everything...How could I not fall in love with you?"

Her voice broke on the last sentence, the blonde let go of your hand to cover her face as if loving you was a sin she couldn't help but commit. Is her family homophobic or extremely religious?

She did and your heart broke in your chest as you saw the misery, guilt and pain on her face, you gently wiped away her tears and left your hand on her cheek.

"Nothing that happened to me was your fault."

The storm in her eyes only grew worse. And you knew that saying it next would only intensify it but you had to get rid of that doubt before continuing with this.

"I know this is difficult for you, however I must ask... If the love I felt for you does not return, if my heart chooses someone else, would you let me go?"

The anguish in the blonde's eyes devoured you, she closed them for a few seconds before opening them full of resignation.

"If that's what you want, yes"

Something told you that she would keep her word even though the fact ripped her heart out. You sighed with relief, that thought not leave you alone for second.

"Thank you, Bela."

You let go of her to stand up and grab the controller just to settle back down on the couch, motioning with your hand for her to lie down on your lap. The blue-eyed girl looked at you with confusion but she followed your orders like a puppy. You stroked her hair.

"How lucky that you are so easy to love"

Bela looked at you with surprise.

"I don't love you yet but what I feel in my chest can easily become love"
