An avant-garde art carnival melding amusement park rides with public art by the likes of Salvador Dalí, David Hockney, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein, and Jean-Michel Basquiat will soon be rebooted in Los Angeles, 35 years after it first opened to revelers in the summer of 1987 in Hamburg, Germany.
Luna Luna, the creative fantasy of multimedia artist André Heller, was meant to tour the world, intended from its inception to be a playground where art, popular culture, and experimentation could fuse.
Luna Luna is being granted an unlikely second life by rapper Drake, along with his arts and entertainment company DreamCrew and creative director Michael Goldberg.

Blade Runner 2029 #1
Titan

share with us your list of goalie greats?
Ooooh, okay, I need more clarification on this question – greatest all time? My personal favorites? Something else? I think the greatest all time is soundly: Hasek, Roy, Brodeur. I would also give Sawchuk a nod, with the caveat used for all players of that era, which is that it's wicked hard to compare it to the modern game.
I'm not willing to put Rask into the conversation with those three, because I don't think the stats quite bear it out, but I think he's as close as you can get without being them. The Messier to Gretzky, the Park to Orr. Plus he's one of my personal favorite goalies and players of all time, and is a beloved Bruin, so I do adore him. If there are some homer goggles here, forgive me. And I'll always be grateful for Tim Thomas's winning the Bruins a Cup in 2011.
I like Flower just as a player. He's entertaining, he's incredibly talented, and I enjoy when I get the chance to see him do media things because he usually makes them quite fun.
Thank you anon! A+ question, love and respect thy goalie – me, former defenseman

🎵 Instrument of Surrender
"A beacon of light in the dull shores of mediocrity. You're welcome, Martinaise."
+1 Superstar Cop
GASTON MARTIN - "Oh, uh... Well thank you, officer. It certainly lightened the mood." He laughs nervously. "Very cosy, like a little street fair almost."
Well, now we need to go around and see who has anything to say about the graffito.
TITUS HARDIE - "Hey, it's you again!" He smiles, more than a bit drunk now. "I've been thinking about it and you know what... we're both cops. This city is big enough for two cops."
"Okay..." He looks at the lieutenant. "Three cops. Me, you, and your little friend here."
5. "Can you help me get into the harbour?"
TITUS HARDIE - "Nah, the harbour is in complete lockdown. Evrart's orders."
"Wait, how do *you* get in, then?"
"Okay, got it."
TITUS HARDIE - "We don't. Gonna sit tight, get drunk and mourn our fallen comrades till bossman sends word." He shakes his can. "Times are changing, coppo."
6. "Later, fellas!" [Leave.]
TITUS HARDIE - He gives you a quick two-finger salute.
GARTE, THE CAFETERIA MANAGER - "Is there something I can do for you?"
2. "Did you see the HUGE BURNING graffito outside?"
GARTE, THE CAFETERIA MANAGER - "Yes. Very *responsible*."
"C'mon, you've gotta admit -- it was pretty cool."
"The end has begun."
"I guess you're right, it was pretty irresponsible of me."
"Don't worry. The fire will go out -- soon."
GARTE, THE CAFETERIA MANAGER - "Looked pretty hot to me..." He stops, realizing that this is also a compliment. "At least nothing bad actually happened," he adds with a sigh.
ENDURANCE [Easy: Success] - He's so exhausted following recent events, he doesn't even have the energy to really get on your case.
Ok. We have one more thing left to do before we head to the coast.
COUPRIS KINEEMA - Inside you see a set of steering levers, a radio-microphone, a pull-out toolbox, and the soft glow of the fuel pre-heater gauge.
Pick up the radio again.
ALICE - "This is Precinct 57," the operator greets you through the static. "How may I assist you?"
"Precinct 57, we've been attacked. I repeat -- Lieutenant Kim Kitsuragi and…"
COUPRIS KINEEMA - Something is wrong. Only static hisses through the speaker.
"Hello?"
COUPRIS KINEEMA - No reply. Only the mindless drone of static, crawling through the air.
KIM KITSURAGI - "It's been this way for a while now." The lieutenant shrugs. "My guess is, the Union is listening in on our conversations -- and jamming outward communications to protect themselves from Krenel."
"It only happens when someone mentions the attack -- the rest is unaffected. Our best bet is to carry on like nothing happened -- that is, if we don't want us cut off the grid completely."
"Isn't that dangerous?"
"Okay." (Turn off the radio.)
KIM KITSURAGI - "No more dangerous than stepping between three armed mercenaries and eight Union men, I hope." He glances over his shoulder.
"I don't like it either, but that's the way it is. The streets seem safe enough to me. If anything, taking out the mercs made things calmer. For now…" He flicks off the radio. Silence.
+5 XP
"You can try calling again -- just don't mention the tribunal. And remember, they're listening in."
HALF LIGHT [Medium: Success] - They're shutting you up. Silencing you. Don't fucking drop your guard.
PERCEPTION (HEARING) [Medium: Success] - Everything sounds okay. No drumbeat of total war yet. If anything, everything sounds *too* okay...
COUPRIS KINEEMA - In the cabin you see a set of steering levers, a radio on a hook, a pull-out toolbox and the soft glow of the fuel pre-heater gauge.
Pick up the radio again.
ALICE - "This is Precinct 57," the operator greets you through the static. "How may I assist you?"
2. "Alice, please connect me to the 41st again."
ALICE - "Just a moment, officer..."
JULES PIDIEU - "10-4, come in, officer! Over."
4. "Jules, I've heard that some people think of me as a La Puta Madre's peone... Do you think I'm corrupted?"
JULES PIDIEU - "10-4, sir." There's a pause, as he seems to mull it over behind his enormous radio-microphone. "Well, there's been some talk, sir," he finally says reluctantly.
"Some *talk*? What does it even mean there's been some talk? Do they think I'm corrupt or not?!"
"Does it mean people know that I'm a dirty cop? Because I am. I'm the dirtiest, most dangerous cop in Revachol. My reputation precedes me."
"I want you to know that I would *never ever* do anything like that. I'm not taking bribes, Jules!"
JULES PIDIEU - "I only meant that there's been some talk in the station, that's all. But there's always some talk in the station. You know how officers in Jamrock are..."
"But then again, some of us truly are on the take. It's unfortunate. Over."
Task complete: Are you La Puta Madre's peone?
+10 XP
Well, that didn't clear anything up.
4. "That's all for now." (End call with the 41st.)
JULES PIDIEU - "Roger that. 10-10. Over and out." With those words the cabin becomes silent again, the radio-microphone resting on its hook.
6. Close the door. [Leave.]
SIILENG - "Wow."
"Wow what?"
[Leave.]
SIILENG - "A cop limping down the street, bleeding from the shoulder, face bruised, looking like hell... You know what that is?"
"Cool. That's *cool*." He nods and settles back into the pile of boxes.
2. "I'll leave you to it for now." [Leave.]
BIRD'S NEST ROY - "Between you and me," he looks you up and down, "this is why I don't get involved in local politics."
"You're calling this *politics*?"
"Well, someone has to."
"Yeah, I shouldn't have either."
BIRD'S NEST ROY - "In its purest form. Now, what can I do for you?"
Nothing, Roy. Just checking in.
WASHERWOMAN - "Our tenant, the policeman. I hope the waves don't keep you up at night. What can I help you with?"
"I got shot!"
WASHERWOMAN - "Aye, even *I* can see that. I told you not to bring your trouble with you, policeman. We've got troubles of our own here..."
"Though I suppose you took the worst of it. Turns out you were your *own* ill omen." The woman chuckles to herself.
"This is no time for jokes. Can't you see I'm in pain?"
"I guess you were right. The men with guns were coming for me after all."
WASHERWOMAN - "I'm not sure those were the last of the men with guns, either." She nods. "There are always more coming for your kind, officer."
HAND/EYE COORDINATION [Medium: Success] - Then we'll be *ready* for them.
IDIOT DOOM SPIRAL - "Man, you're like, bleeding now. Reality's really messed you up."
No new topics to talk about here, just that introduction.
ANDRE - "Oh, the God of Dance is back! I'm dancing with the God of Dance!" He dances over to you, moving in a slightly less lame manner.
ACELE - "Hard-cop." She nods to you with respect and turns off her recording device.
"I got shot in the leg." (Point at your limb.)
ACELE - "Ouch." She looks at your leg. "I did notice you limping, but I thought maybe it was your 'thing' or something..."
"When I was sixteen I used to date this guy who had a limp. But it only showed when he was sober, so I guess it wasn't real or something. I don't know." She shrugs, eyes glazed over…
"Anyway…" She turns back to you. "Shot in the leg… I'm sorry, man, that must suck."
None of the other speedfreaks have anything new to say, so that completes our round of goodbyes. Let's go talk to Lilienne.
🎵 Disco Elysium, Pt 1
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "Officer Harry, what happened? You're limping. Why are you limping? You look terrible."
CONCEPTUALIZATION [Challenging: Success] - You're not *limping*. You're *you*.
AUTHORITY [Easy: Success] - She sounds almost disappointed with you. *Reprimanding* you for falling and hurting your knee.
"You seem angry. Why?"
"I got shot in the foot. It was pretty bad-ass. You would've liked it."
"I'm a cop. I don't merely exist in *this* world -- I live in the *between* life and death."
"Some people hurt me."
"I wanted to talk to you about something else -- your boat."
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "Look at you, you can barely walk!"
"It's nothing."
"I got shot in the foot. It was pretty bad-ass. You would've liked it."
"I'm a cop. I don't merely exist in *this* world -- I live in the *between* life and death."
"Some people hurt me."
"I wanted to talk to you about something else -- your boat."
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "Everyone does that, in a way. You don't have to get shot for that." She waves her hand dismissively.
"What happened to you anyway? We heard gunshots from the town. They were closer than usual."
KIM KITSURAGI - "There was an exchange of fire on Rue de Saint-Ghislaine. It's nothing to be worried about, ma'am."
"You should see the other guys. They're all dead."
"I have a question for you." (Conclude.)
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "So you're a killer." She nods solemnly. "That's good, I guess. I guess... Better than being dead."
"Most cops are killers."
"I was a killer long before this happened."
"I'm not a killer, I'm a cop."
Scoff in a masculine manner.
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "Aye." She nods solemnly. "Not a lot of RCM men who aren't killers."
RHETORIC [Medium: Success] - She knew you were one when you took her to Land's End.
2. "I have a question for you." (Conclude.)
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "Of course. Can I help you with something?"
"We need to get to that island." (Point to it.)
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "That won't be a problem. It's windstill -- and the tar just dried." She points to her skiff next to the jetty. "We've got two days of *relative* sunshine ahead."
"Can we borrow your boat?"
"Two days of sunshine? I just got a bacterial infection."
"What's on that island? I saw some kind of ruins through the binoculars..."
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "If you promise to bring it back. And no scraping the hull -- I just got it nice and yellow. And *no* drinking on the boat." Her eyes narrow. "And no joyriding, either."
KIM KITSURAGI - "Of course, ma'am. It's only for a day or two -- official police business."
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "Aye," she nods.
Nod along attentively.
"What if I wanna rock?"
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - The crow's feet disappear from the corners of her eyes, as she smiles at you.
2. "Two days of sunshine? I just got a bacterial infection."
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "I'm sad to hear that. Take care of that with ether, will you? Don't get too many RCM men around here. Be sad to lose the first one."
PHYSICAL INSTRUMENT [Medium: Success] - That's cool. You boasting your bacterial infection like that.
3. "What's on that island? I saw some kind of ruins through the binoculars..."
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "Mhm, used to be some kind of fortification there before the war -- for the communards. An anti-aircraft gun, I think. Bombed to bits in the landing... I haven't been there myself -- always steered clear of it."
RHETORIC [Easy: Success] - Hasn't been there *herself*... who has then?
4. "You said you haven't been there *yourself* -- who has then? If not you?"
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "My husband used to drink there. Him and his drinking buddies. Always seemed like a bad place to drink to me. People died there during the landing, you know, my mother told me..."
ENCYCLOPEDIA [Medium: Success] - This must be one of the many fortifications that was used in the dying days of the Revolution. Against Coalition forces -- before they took this city.
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - She looks around. "The kids sometimes go there too, I know they do -- on rafts. I tell them not to but they bring back old bullet casings and such."
"Which kids?"
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "The twins." She points to the two kids playing on the concrete yard. "God forbid they bring the girl along on some rickety barge."
KIM KITSURAGI - "Can we maybe ask your twins about that place -- before we go? Would that be all right?"
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "Be my guest." She looks at the boys. "They've a strange way of talking. See if you can get anything *useful* out of them. I seldom do..."
New task: Ask Lilienne's twins about the island
5. "Is there anything I should know about getting there?"
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - "Well -- most of it's sunken. Underwater. That means concrete under water -- cut your boat if you're not careful. Be sure to enter from the south side, water's deep there."
INTERFACING [Medium: Success] - Aye-aye, captain.
6. "Thank you, we'll use your skiff to get there then."
LILIENNE, THE NET PICKER - She nods. "Please be conservative with the fuel, will you? I just filled her up, but it's a small tank."
4. "Be seeing you." [Leave.]
LILIENNE'S TWIN - The scruffy-haired little boy kicks a stone while the other watches him do it.
"Okay kids. You've been to that island, right?"
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "On that island?" The one who's busy kicking his stone points to the bay.
"Yes, that one. I need to know what's there."
"No, some other island. *Of course* that one."
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "That's... uhm... nothing?" The boy pauses to think with his finger in his mouth. "It's just a seafort and some plants. You can take a raft there. It's great."
LILIENNE'S OTHER TWIN - "And! And!" the other one butts in. "We make a fire. We make a... we make a fire."
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "Mhm," his brother nods. "Gather the sticks for the fire -- and bullets. Or not real bullets, empty bullets."
LOGIC [Medium: Success] - Bullet shells? There are a lot of them left over from the war -- but this could be important.
"Wait, you mean *shells*?"
"What then?"
"Mhm." (Nod in agreement.)
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "I don't know what those are..."
"What then?"
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "There are lights. The fire guy comes and asks us to put the fire out."
REACTION SPEED [Medium: Success] - Your nerve endings *sting* from the mention of a *guy*.
RHETORIC [Medium: Success] - They must mean a human being. On that island? But it's cut off...
"Someone lives on the island?"
"You mentioned something about *lights*?"
"Your father used to go to that island too, didn't he?"
"Is that all you know? Is there anything more you can tell me about the island?" (Conclude.)
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "No," the boy answers, shaking his head vehemently.
LILIENNE'S OTHER TWIN - "Yes." His brother looks at him, then at you.
KIM KITSURAGI - "Let's go with *yes*." The lieutenant raises his eyebrows and whips out his notebook.
2. "Why is he the *fire* guy?"
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "Because.... because..." The boy pauses to think.
LILIENNE'S OTHER TWIN - "Because he asks to put the fire out!" the other explains.
3. "Why does he ask you to put the fire out?"
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "Uhm... I don't know. He doesn't like it. He doesn't like people to be there. You shouldn't go."
LILIENNE'S OTHER TWIN - "Yes," the other one adds laconically, standing with his hands glued to his sides like a little tin soldier.
SAVOIR FAIRE [Medium: Success] - Because he doesn't want to be found. Smoke traces...
4. "You mentioned something about *lights*?"
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "I..." starts one of them -- it's hard to tell which one now. "I don't know."
KIM KITSURAGI - "Did you mean there are *electrical* lights?" He points to the streetlight.
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "Uhm... yes." The boy looks at his toes.
5. "Is there anything else you can tell me about this *guy*? Age? Does he live there?"
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "No, he doesn't live there. I don't think."
LILIENNE'S OTHER TWIN - "No, he lives there." The other nods. "He's been there twice, two times."
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "Huh..." The first one pauses to think, then comes to some kind of conclusion. "He doesn't live there. He isn't there sometimes."
KIM KITSURAGI - "Anything else? What does this guy look like?"
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "I don't know," they say almost in unison.
"How come?"
LILIENNE'S OTHER TWIN - "We... we ran. He just yelled we shouldn't be there."
6. "Your father used to go to that island too, didn't he?"
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "Our father killed himself."
LILIENNE'S OTHER TWIN - "Don't say that. He didn't." His brother punches him. The boy's eyes well up like he's about to start crying.
"Your father did not kill himself."
"He killed himself alright."
Say nothing.
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "I don't know..." The boy who made the claim finds himself unsure of it. He looks around.
LILIENNE'S OTHER TWIN - The other watches him, brows knitted. "It doesn't even have anything to do with this, you. Father isn't the fire guy."
LOGIC [Medium: Success] - The two things are *unconnected*. Your question didn't make sense.
7. "Is that all you know? Is there anything more you can tell me about the island?" (Conclude.)
LILIENNE'S TWIN - "There's a..." the boy says, rubbing his eyes. It's clear that he has no intention of finishing the sentence.
Task complete: Ask Lilienne's twins about the island
+10 XP
KIM KITSURAGI - "Lights? Fire guy?" The lieutenant looks at you. "We should check up on that island."
Well, that's that. I guess tomorrow, we have nothing left to do but head to the island.

Match Review: Manchester United 0-1 Crystal Palace
Fuck me for being optimistic after the mid-week game eh.
Palace were not very good. Roy Hodgson might have the rub of the green against us, and Joachim Andersen did score a beauty of a goal, but that was all Palace had to offer. We were the issue. United were insipid. It's so fucking frustrating watching players half-arse it.
United's XG was 1.67 to Palace's 0.81. 77% possession to United. 19 shots but only 4 on target....
I feel sorry for Rasmus Højlund. It's not easy to establish yourself in the Premier League, but especially so when your team isn't finding you with passes and layoffs as the centre forward. Can't score if you're only given the ball in sub-optimal positions.
What differed though between today and mid-week? The answer is energy. Casemiro is not winning duels this season. 81.4% last season is now 28.1% this season. It might be part of his slow start, but it's a huge problem for United because - as we saw today - Mount offers energy and pressing, Bruno is your creativity gamble, but Casemiro's the deep lying player that's effectively left the back gate open and oops, pressure on the defence.
A big part of why Tuesday went well was because Hannibal brought energy and tenacity to the United midfield. His work rate, along with Mount's, allowed Casemiro more energy-friendly playmaker duties, and in fairness he delivered. Have we lost last season's Case? Feels like we'll be after Evan Ferguson plus a DM next summer at this rate.
Oh, and Hannibal: why was he not selected, or even used as a sub, today? Rest ahead of Tuesday? Spared from the ignominy of being lumped in with shite?
Defensively, United were okay. Onana wasn't at fault for the goal and was reliable yet again. The makeshift defence was also okay, but no proper LB makes a huge difference to United's build-up play and the overlapping. If Reguilon is back (or any of them) then Casemiro can be benched for Amrabat, and my god would we see a drastic improvement in United's threat.
There's also the question to be asked about Rashford. Garnacho was labelled as playing not that well when he made some starts, but smashed it in the mid-week fixture. Today, a rested Rashford did... not a lot. If Garnacho is getting benched for being sub-par, now's the time to apply that to Marcus. Wake him up.
Hope is not all lost though. Varane and Dalot posted strong duel and passing stats. Mount and Bruno had good passing - and final third passing in particular. I do worry about them both fitting into midfield together though. I'd like to play them as CAM/RW and rotate during the game, but Bruno's crossing today was dire. Mount would be much more reliable out wide.
Next up is Galatasaray in the Champions League. If Reguilon isn't back then I'd start Hannibal in CM, though to be honest i'd not be against Dalot LB/Lindelof RB and Amrabat/Hannibal as the pivot.
Drop Casemiro. Drop Rashford. Demand better. Or we'll be demanding a new manager (yet again).

I know it's only been a day but I'm dying of curiosity, have you watched the spinoff yet? What are your thoughts?
Hi anon! As you can see, I posted an initial ramble in an earlier answer LOL I talked about my feelings for the new characters there so I won't bore you and repeat it.
In a nutshell: new banda was "meh." Cameron was hot and I hope she gets more breakout roles, but the character was written like a Tokyo/Nairobi knockoff without any of their depth or magnetism. And I personally didn't like how her backstory was treated (it wasn't taken seriously for the right reasons imo). Keila was surprisingly likable but I keep making a lemon face when I remember her being horny for Bruce's sweat. Same for Bruce. He would have been enjoyable if not for the pubic hair fetish that he keeps bringing up asdfasdf
I was most interested in Roi, and he didn't disappoint, but I was baffled over why the spinoff ignored the most important question: how did he meet Andres and why did Andres take him in?? Genuinely needed a flashback there.
Main questions that the show needs to, but didn't answer:
How did Damian/Keila/Roi/Cameron/Bruce meet Andres?
Why did Damian/Andres choose Cameron and Bruce to help?
Why weren't any of these people in the mint and bank heists? You can argue that Bruce/Keila/Cameron weren't close to Andres, but nothing indicated Damian and Roi would abandon him. Alicia "exposed" their identities, but they don't know she did that so it's HUH
Why did Andres replace them all with Jakov, Martin, and Santiago? I mean, I would too LOL but in universe, there needs to be some explanation
Why is he calling himself Berlin?
We also still have no idea why Andres and Sergio have different surnames since this show addressed nothing about them having the same or different parents. No idea when or why Andres became a thief, how he came to love heisting, etc. Overall, the spinoff chose to flash romances between the new characters instead of giving us more information about Andres, which was a stupid move imo.
That said, there were things I did like about the spinoff:
Aside from that hilarious tracksuit, Pedro pulled the various turtlenecks off more or less. He was gorgeous more often than not, but for what? smh
The ending was tight, exaggerated, and fun
I actually was hyped when Alicia and Raquel showed up
Lots of jokes/moments landed and made me laugh out loud
Camille topping Andres every chance she got was Quality content
The heist itself didn't have me on pins and needles, but it was entertaining and I never got bored of it
I liked that aside from Roi, Andres wasn't close to any of the young people on the team- that makes more sense with his character and also helps me forget the 27yo comment asdfadf
The shoutout to Sergio :') Hermanito lives rent free in Andres' mind
General elements that I wasn't a fan of, aside from the forced romances:
Not a berlicia shipper, but come on- why would you put Alicia and Andres in the same time space and NOT have them interact!?
The car race confused me, and not just because Cameron's phone breakdown made me cringe. I honestly don't understand why the racers needed a girl to stand on the roof. What purpose? How does that help or hinder the race- what- at first, I thought the girls were going to whack each other with sticks or try to break the other person's car and this was a high stakes death battle. But no, they just did this to be cool.
Speaking of the race, I think too many "cool" moments became boring because they were tailormade for the cool new stars; there should have been more moments like Berlin at the "opera"-- Ex. we should have gotten Damian and Andres at that race instead of Cameron and Roi- that would have been so much funnier, and thus more memorable
Andres' speeches were repetitive and made no sense, even for him. BUT it was hilarious how in the show's effort to ignore Martin, everything Andres says and does makes it look like he's waiting for his one true love in the form of Palermo, a man; even that no homo moment with Roi was so on-the-nose it has to be foreshadowing Martin XD
The ending with Camille was too open for my taste, especially pointless because we KNOW they don't end up together
BUT I do want a season 2, just so we can see Martin entering Andres' life and a glimpse of Sergio + any scrap of an actual backstory for Andres. They already did the romcom route, so maybe they'll experiment with yet another genre in s2, who knows lol.
#anonymous#berlin 2023#I'm sure I have more LOL but these are my main ones#headcanon that damian ran off to some remote island with the tequila lady#and roi was so jealous and annoyed by martin that he LEFT the moment andres introduced martin to everyone
