it's my 5th time rewatching it now, with friends this time. and just... the entire ending of s3 enamors me so heavily. it's just this ultimate culmination of the death of innocence.

and it's not bad AT ALL.

the moment Merlin tells Jim "you get the choice to become stronger and be the foe that your villain fears, or you can take your chances as you are. if you stay like this, it's entirely like you'll be killed. and if you change... a part of you is going to die forever."

you just. you immediately know the stakes. i understand that it's quite literally Jim losing his humanity, he becomes a troll, yes. but i equate it so heavily to the loss of his innocence, of his literal human-nature to love and care. because he becomes so animalistic afterwards, it's like watching someone spiral. it's a walking tragedy, especially after you watch the whole show and you can't help but UNDERSTAND WHY he's spiraled so hard.

not to mention, just... the mastercraft of the bathtub scene. it's a sensory overload of every single reason Jim wants to stay human, but at the same time, it's the EXACT reason needs to turn in order to protect all of those he holds dear.

and not just that, the fucking... the deliberate framing. he's alone, locked himself in a room. there's a phone ringing on the counter, but he can't hear it and he refuses to look. he's just sitting there, quietly, going back and forth constantly to decide what to do. his whole family and friends are beating on the door, trying to get to him, but he just won't listen.

the fact that they bleed Anton Yelchin's lines into Emile Hirsch's at times, as if it's a moment of saying goodbye to the previous voice actor. like a passing of the torch. it's almost symbolic of everything he's going to do going forward: letting his humanity, his entire self, die.

i swear, barely any shows i know these days can evoke emotions like that. where the visual metaphor of someone committing suicide is so powerful that you have to just reach out constantly and beg and hope and pray that he will turn around and open the door instead.

it's hopeless incarnate. it's the death of innocence. it's watching the quiet death of someone who just wants to better for the people around him.

it's so fucking painful, but it's god-tier story-telling and animation. i can't even imagine how they managed to write that all down.

OK A BREAKDOWN OF LES MISERABLES IN FRANCE

- they changed a lot of the lyrics (including my fav/funniest lyrics unfortunately) which was pretty interesting ; honestly i think it's a great thing bc it was last re-written in 1991 and they made the songs more textual, more like real talking and i think way more accessible for a lot of people (bc in france we have this habit of writing pretty words, with a lot of images and lyrical phrases but it's not always helping to understand the plot yknow)

- the new lyrics for do you hear the people sing/à la volonté du peuple are SO GOOD ! originally it says :

à la volonté du peuple/et à la santé du progrès/rempli ton cœur d'un vin rebelle/et à demain ami fidèle

(to the will of the people/and cheers to progress/fill your heart with a rebel wine/and see you tomorrow, faithful friend)

and idk i think it's pretty freaking cool; but i'll do a big breakdown of the new lyrics of do you hear the people sing bc it's the song they changed the most and i think it's way better for our times and more hopeful and giving the will to fight

- the stage: honestly real cool and clever! it's a smaller stage, way smaller than the west end one if my memories are not mistaken, and we obvisouly don't have the rotating stage; but they played a lot with moving structures and transparent curtains to make special effect like buildings, rain, etc... and it's way real cool !

- idk who the sound guy was but props to him cause the sound was SO GOOD like it sounded so clean and like listening to an album, truly perfect on this aspect

- the actors were GREAT, you could see they rlly took the roles and made them their own (i think enjolras' actor loves his role bc ive seen some of his tiktok and he looks like he loves it a lot so that's cool af)

- also i bough this

One day the guys from Purgatory hall invited MC to have a movie night with them to which they happily agreed. So after dinner they acknowledged the brothers of their leave and hurried to Purgatory hall.

Right there in front of the entrance was Solomon, looking through one of his notebooks that are filled with magic circles and curses. You chuckle to yourself and approach him.

MC: Solomon! I'm here!

The sorcerer lifted his head upon hearing your voice and offered you a smile.

Solomon: You finally arrived! Luke insisted I come out here to wait for you as soon as possible causing me to wait for about 20 minutes..

MC: It isn't my fault! I was having dinner! Plus I needed to let Lucifer know I'd be with you guys.

Solomon: I never said it was your fault. Now come on. I'd imagine Luke is getting impatient right now.

You nod and Solomon escorts you into the building, leading you to the living room. There You saw Luke and Simeon chatting on the couch. Upon seeing you Luke's eyes widen and he runs up to you. He wraps his arms around you in a hug.

Luke: MC! You came!

Simeon chuckles and walks over to both you and Luke, patting the little angel's head.

Simeon: Now now, Luke. There is no need to get so excited.

Simeon moves his gaze away from Luke and looks at you.

Simeon: Welcome, MC.

MC: Thank you, Simeon.

You look around and see blankets and cushions prepared on the couch as well as different kinds of snacks on the coffee table.

MC: I see you guys have made quite the preparation.

Luke: Yeah! See all the sweets there? I made them myself with a bit of help from Simeon.

Solomon: I also prepared a little something!

Your and Luke's eyes widen. The angel looks at Simeon with a worried look who nods and clears his throat.

Simeon: You did, Solomon? They must've disappeared somehow. I never saw them again after you made them...

Luke sighs in relief and pulls you to sit next to him on the couch.

Solomon: Really? That's a shame.. I made them exactly to MC's liking.. I'm sorry, MC.

You smile and shake your head.

MC: secretly thanking Simeon for throwing them away Dont worry about it. It's fine.

All of a sudden the doorbell rings and you look towards the door in curiosity.

MC: Are you guys expecting anyone?

Simeon: Oh yes! We invited Lord Diavolo and Barbatos as well. We forgot to tell you.

MC: That's awesome! The more the merrier!

Solomon: Precisely.

Solomon walks up to the door and opens it, inviting Diavolo and Barbatos in.

MC: Hi, Diavolo! Hi, Barbatos!

Diavolo and Barbatos: Hello, MC.

Simeon: So now that we're all here what should we watch?

Solomon: A horror movie maybe?

Luke: N-no! I don't like horror movies!!

Barbatos: Then perhaps we could watch a documentary?

Diavolo: These are quite boring in my opinion, Barbatos... What do you think?

Barbatos: Whatever you say, My Lord.

Simeon: Then maybe we should watch this?

Simeon points at a movie on the screen that everyone seems to agree on.

Solomon: Let's watch this then.

Barbatos: Would that be to your liking, My Lord?

Diavolo: Most definitely!

And so Solomon clicks play and the movie begins. As the storyline progresses everyone is watching intensely. Though soon enough when a new character appears on screen everyone gasp in shock.

Luke: MC, MC! Look! That actor looks like you!!! Look!!

You look at the screen and chuckle.

MC: That's because the actor is me, Luke.

Luke: Wait really?!? You're staring in the movie??

Diavolo: excited MC! That's splendid! Congratulations! I've heard many good things about this movie! I had no idea you are one of the actors! Maybe I should promote it to the entire Devildom so everyone knows what a great actor this movie has!

Barbatos: There is no need for something like this, My Lord. The movie is already well-known throughout the entire Devildom. Congratulations, MC. The Young Master is very proud of you and if I dare say I am as well.

MC: Thank you!

Simeon: Yes! That's wonderful, MC!

Solomon: It sure is! Do you plan on continuing your acting career, MC?

MC: Well I haven't really thought about it.

Diavolo: Make sure to give it some thought. If you u decide to take things on tell me and I'll find you a place in the industry.

Luke: You'd make for an amazing actor, MC! You should definitely continue acting!

Simeon: I agree with Luke here, MC. Though know that we aren't persuing you. We'd support whatever decision you make.

Barbatos: Of course we will, Simeon. Oh and MC make sure to mention that to Lucifer and his brothers. I'm pretty sure they'd be particularly interested.

MC: I will, Barbatos. And thank you, guys!

And so the movie night continues. You made sure to flip a joke or two on your acting skills from time to time while the others didn't miss an opportunity to compliment your acting. Overall the night was full of great memories and laughter.

Bonus: Luke accidentally fell asleep by the end of the movie sense it was way past his bedtime. And in the morning he was very grumpy for missing the ending.

THIS IS MY LIKES AND DISLIKES OF CHAOS THEORY ⚠️Spoilers below cut⚠️

When i first finished this season, I too like some people, was skeptical about it. I get why some people say its bad, I just thought it was very different from cc. At points the characters didin't feel like themsleves, the way some of them were written and the designs gave me a real hard time to get used to them. Also i felt as if it was just too much to process at times so i rewatched it and my final answer is that its a good show the pacing is incredeble, the plot, the suspence and character development. i just had a hard time getting used to everything new? Ig. I'm still doubting whether its a 10 but sure thing is that it was a very good first season its a easy 9/10. So here are the thinks i liked abt it:

-THE WAY THEY POTRAYED EVERYONES TRAUMA/STRUGGLES , Sammy having anxiety, Yaz overcoming her ptsd, and KENJI. MY BOY. That must have been the best breakdown i've seen in animated series. Whoever wrote that scene. Wow. It was the best thing in the whole show honestly. His vision gtting blurry, having truble breathing. The panick. Wow. I CANNOT SAY THIS LOUD ENOUGH.

-Ben and Sammy duo? Hello? Im srry to say but you might just be better than Yaz and Ben duo. Idk i really loved them.

- "Benjamin."

- Showing Yaz is doing better. Despite her ongoing struggles, she has clearly grown and matured the last 6 years, and the way she calmed Sammy in the sinking van? Ig all those therapy sessions and college paid off. That scene is a clear illustration of the progress she has made. I mean sammy did say "i can tell shes still struggling" but there wasnt really a clear scene of her getting stuck in place as she used to. So my guess is that it was just Sammys anxiety and the fact that they didint talk much. Bc then Sammy was surprised how she kept herselve together. So yeah

-YASAMMY. NOTHING MORE TO ADD.

-UM SAMMYS CHARACTER?? HELLO? GLOW UP, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, i loved her sm. She moved up to my top 3.

And her anxiety? It was so well shown too

-the fight between Sammy and Yaz felt so natural and not at all forced. They both had valid points and in the end they did understand each other and were on the same page.

-Ben being Ben in almost every episode

- Yasmina's "boo."

-Brooklynns design?? Majestic to say the least.

- ingore what i said ealrier abt the acting out of character. They do remind themsleves they just grew

Well, all except Ben...

-Kenjis new voice actor, he did a real good job, as much as it doesn't sound like him, he really captured some emotional scenes very well.

- The robot lady. THEY REALLY SAID TAKE A WOMAN AND MAKE HER CREEPY ASF. I was genunanly creeped out. And the detail that at the ranch if u listen closesly u can hear the whistle. Hell nah that was scary.

-Benrius Ben and Darius friendship, okay actually u can't tell me u didint feel it too, the tention between ben and Darius cmon we all know what u are Ben stop making up girlfriends in Europe

-Brooklynn turning bad, or from what we are told worked for bad people ig. Personally as much as it shocked me, im sure theres a good reason as to why and i cant wait to hear more abt in season 2.

-I can now undertand what everyone meant in reviews saying "its more mature" not only in the more death and dinos but it woyud be kind of confusing for a younger audience to undertsand some stuff in this show.

-I really liked Daniels kon death, maybe it wasn't necesarry but im all in for that dark death scene.

-Lastly the comment Sammy makes when Ben asks how bumpy got pregnant, and the yazs smirk. Gurl i was suprised they added that but i loved it

Now, the things that i didint like and why:

- First of all, Darius being in love with brooklynn. I mean i get it but i also dont get it. In my opinion, there shouldn't have been a different reason as to why Darius was the most effected by her death. They were close and she died. Its okay to be really effected by someones death and not bc u liked them, and i also do believe that the reason for him not showing up the night she "died" should have been smth more serious. Then again i get it bc now he felt a lot more guilt bc it was for a not so important reason he didint show up and thats why he didint tell anyone. Well axtually it isnt that bad, but i just felt it was forced for the plot. This again could be bc i started to like kenlynn and now they turned the tables completly but sure.

-Brooklynns voice actor. I just couldn't connect her to brooklynn? She sounded a lot different, not a major bad thing it was just hard to get used to.

-Ben having a gf, or supposedly having one, u telling me this man has a gf:

I thought it funny but yk that man is a homosexual

- and lastly, Brooklynn being alive. This might sound bad but it made sense for her to die. And i was kinda lamed out that she wasnt dead. (Pls ironically enough, just weeks ago i begged for her to be alive.) But like the way everyone suffered bc of her death, going throught the 5 stages of grief, and the way the show was played. It just would have been better if she died, all those flashbacks, the emotional moments, i mean its not gonna be the same when i rewatch it bc i know shes alive. Anyways enough abt this.

Actually i have nothing more to add to my "bad stuff" list but i might come up with smth later. Bc i will be rewatchibg it obviously. Ig lastly i just wanted more episodes how dare they cutting the season of right there.

You stand alone on a bus stop at the end of the city-border between cities at night. The sound of raindrops can be heard falling on the ground with each drop, echoing through your two senses of hearing, enveloping the night with a cold atmosphere.

Since an hour ago you have been staying at that small bus stop, getting rained on while stopping buses or taxis that might come to pick you up, but... you expect too much. Leaving you to let out a sigh and a mumble with your flat expression.

Before an hour ago, you ran unsteadily to the bus stop, because today was a tiring day of working overtime at the office, making you fall asleep for a moment in your office after finishing various work files that piled up on your own desk.

In the end, because of your missed sleep along with the last bus operating time has left, you can only groan in frustration, waving your two slender arms at the bus that has gone away, hoping that the bus will stop.

"Ughh...seriously?,..." you said with a frustrated groan, once again.

You reached into your bag, looking for your smartphone to check the time, the time showed 22.20 surely there were no more buses operating at this late time. You decided to contact anyone you knew on your contact list, some of your friends and relatives.

"How can i say..., I'm abroad for another shoot...sorry I didn't give you any news"

At first you sent a message to one of your friends, whose name is Wen Junhui, unfortunately when you wanted to ask for his help he was busy with his job as an actor in another country, and now he is resting after shooting.

You could only sigh and continue to contact other numbers, from your coworkers and close friends.

"The number you have dialed cannot accept calls...please try again later"

Keep going, going and going...until you sigh in annoyance, your eyes searching for the number you want to contact, keep scrolling and scrolling over who you can contact, but your fingers stop when you stare at a name on the contact list.

A name you recognize, not an ordinary person, a name that makes you have a butterfly in your stomach but also a lump in your throat...should you make a call in this contact? You tuck your long hair while staring intently at your smartphone screen.

Your thoughts are now racing in your head, should you call this person or...shouldn't? ... I don't know what's on your mind, you press the contact number with your finger without realizing it...

A few seconds before you can finally see the screen of your smartphone making a call.

"Xu minghao....ringing..."

After making the call, you realize what you did. Panic and nervousness began to envelop you... before you had time to hang up the ringing call, the call was already accepted by that man...

"Damn, what was I thinking about??..." you thought... "Hello...?" You were silent..., the hoarse voice and gentle tone of the man never changed at all that you had recognized from the time you met the man.

You cursed yourself in your heart, before finally answering his call.

"H-hello Eisa, I m-mean Xu minghao" accidentally the nickname of the man you gave in the past just came out of your mouth, making the man raise his eyebrows. "I just wanna say..., good night to you and how are you now, Xu...?"

The silence for a moment made you bite your lower lip, before the sound of laughter uttered by the man through the call took place. Minghao chuckled softly when you accidentally called him by the pet name 'Eisa'. "You still haven't changed much". He pondered softly before answering your question.

"I'm totally fine, right now I'm on my way home from work, it's raining heavily huh...are you fine there, is it raining there too?". He stated, you also assured that he was really on his way home, heard from the roar of his car engine...and also some noise of rainy droplets through the speaker on your call.

"Um... yeahh, I'm fine...but, I'm outside and at the bus stop alone and...yeah it's raining quite heavily here, I'm waiting for the transportation to come too...". Minghao's expression immediately changed when he heard you were at the bus stop taking shelter from the rain.

"Hnh? You're alone at the bus stop and getting caught in the rain?" he said, his voice suddenly filled with worry.

"I'll pick you up, where are you? Can you share your location?"

"Eis- ahh minghao..., no need to pick me up, I'll bother you... it's raining heavily here" you said in a worried tone while you were still sitting alone at the bus stop.

Minghao just exhaled when he heard your protest. "You're really stubborn huh?" he grumbled while chuckling softly. "I'll pick you up, I won't leave you alone, besides I'm still on the road... I'm your friend, remember? I won't abandon you as my 'friend'".

"Hao- I didn't force you-" Your call was suddenly ended by him. While you just sighed and closed your eyes. Still staring at the sky which now saw nothing, except for the heavy rain falling.

You bit your lip once again, with a sigh, you finally shared your current location to his contact number, it was not far from his and your current location, making him relieved that you were not far from him. Minghao immediately increased his car speed after knowing your location, while driving the engine and heading towards your location.

The rain was pouring down heavily, reducing visibility. Minghao drove as fast as he could while being careful. The only thing on his mind was to go and pick you up. It took about 10 minutes to reach your location. The car's headlights now illuminated the bus stop where you were waiting.

He could see your figure wearing a blouse and a coat sitting at the bus stop. Hugging yourself with your heavy eyes closed, a cold breeze, blowing from the rainy weather.

Minghao parked his car and rushed out, walking towards you with fast steps. Minghao noticed your figure on the bus stop bench, hugging yourself to keep warm.

"Stupid," Minghao muttered softly, seeing you asleep as he approached you, patting your shoulder gently to wake you up. Your eyes blinked slowly as you adjusted your sitting position while rubbing your eyes.

You looked at him and raised an eyebrow with wide open eyes. Whether it was fate or what made them meet again after several years of you and him being apart, your pupils widened when you found someone who made your stomach tingle and your chest pound.

"E-eis, err... Minghao," Minghao smiled thinly seeing you who were still sleepy with your eyes wide, his hand brushing away a few strands of hair that fell from your face.

"Heh... sleepyhead." Minghao mocked, maintaining his thin smile, while poking your cheek lightly. "Come on, I'll take you home, you'll get cold here," Minghao said while gesturing for you to follow him to the car.

This man is still the same..., his appearance is still the same, his tone of voice is still the same... like the Xu Minghao you know.

You looked at him with a faint smile. You felt guilty towards him because now you were asking for his help in the middle of heavy rain like this, this moment reminded you of the past.

You slowly stood up and took your bag while tidying up your damp hair. "Mhm, yeah... I'm sorry, for bothering you, Hao" you replied still standing behind him, not yet following him.

Minghao watched you as you looked at him with a mixture of memories and guilt. He could tell that you felt nostalgic and a bit guilty for asking for his help. "Heh..." Minghao muttered while shaking his head, his expression softening. "You're not bothering me, let's go to the car." Minghao said softly, opening the umbrella for you, and... Grabbing your tiny wrist slowly.

Your wrist was gently pulled by him, like a parent holding his child. While you just followed him from behind and protected you from the rain with his umbrella. One thing you also realized what you caught from him, from his tone and movements now a little more gentle and... fatherly.

Minghao led you to the passenger seat, his hands warm on your wrist. Once you sat comfortably, he immediately walked to the driver's side and got in, starting the car again.

Minghao immediately gave you a small towel from the dashboard. You just stayed silent, while taking the towel he handed to you, immediately wiping your damp hair, and also your skin that was splashed with rainwater.

Minghao glanced at you as you wiped your damp hair. He clicked his tongue. "You should have just gone home from work. You'll catch a cold if you keep doing this," Minghao said in a worried and firm tone, as if he was now lecturing you as his daughter.

"Today I worked overtime, so I came home a bit late... I didn't know if it would suddenly rain. Next time I'll prepare an umbrella..." you said with a small sigh, while drying the rest of your wet and damp hair.

Minghao chuckled softly, shaking his head, "Do you always work overtime?" He asked you, you just nodded slowly. "Seriously, you don't have to force yourself to work overtime... you know, it's not good for your health" Minghao said with a little worry, his eyes glanced at you and started driving his car.

"What a corporate slave" You just kept quiet and sighed as a sign of understanding from him. But he's right, you are now overwhelmed with your overtime, making your life a bit tiring now, working overtime with income sometimes doesn't match.

Your gaze was fixed on the car window, the rain that never stopped stopping. "Are you sure you can take me home, Hao?". Minghao glanced at you, noticing your silence and your understanding hum. He could tell that you were lost in your thoughts, admiring the rain through the window, you like the rain.

Minghao chuckled softly. "Of course, I'll take you home, what else would I do besides taking you?" He replied with an amused tone in his voice.

"Where else do you want me to take you?" Minghao replied once more in a teasing tone, his eyes glancing at you again before returning his focus to the road.

"If it turns out you want to kidnap me, who knows?" You replied with a faint smile. Minghao chuckled at your words. He knew you were joking, but he couldn't help but reply. "That's right, who knows," he said with a smirk. "Maybe I'll kidnap you...and then keep you for myself?" Hao glanced at you again with a raised eyebrow, a hint of mischievousness in his eyes.

"You don't mind right...hmh?" Hao added with a light laugh, his tone filled with amused. His words crossed your mind, making you pause and only smile faintly with a small chuckle. Creating a feeling and moment that was increasingly familiar and full of nostalgia. It made you sink into your thoughts.

Can be said, the person next to you now used to like to tease and joke words to make you smile...and at the same time make you flustered. Many past moments are playing in your head, which you have not moved on. Making feelings of happiness and at the same time... ached.

A moment of silence, making Minghao notice your sudden silence and your faint smile. Minghao can't help but notice the way you play with your fingers. He glances at you again, his expression softening slightly. Minghao tries hard to gauge your thoughts.

"Are you okay?".

"Yeah... I'm fine, just a little tired..." you said, shrugging and looking out the car window, watching the rain fall heavily and drip on the window. Minghao could sense there was something more behind your words, but he didn't want to press too much.

He knew you tended to keep your feelings to yourself. He kept his eyes on the road, occasionally glancing at you. Hao could tell you were staring out the window, lost in thought again.

The rain continued to fall, although it was no longer as heavy. Rain like this, reminded him of me and him, how when we were teenagers and friends-when it rained we would immediately go outside and go to the yard to bathe in the rain together...or just sit on the porch and watch the raindrops hit the ground.

"Tired, huh?" Hao mused, his tone soft. "You are too hard on yourself, you should pay more attention to yourself." You furrowed your brows and took a deep breath, hunching your shoulders slightly. A few minutes later you broke the silence with your low tone, almost like muttering to yourself.

"Why... why do you care about me, Hao..." Minghao's grip on the steering wheel tightened slightly hearing your mumbled question, his expression a little serious. He had to pause for a moment before answering.

"Why do I care about you?" Hao repeated your words softly. "You know why..." His voice trailed off, a hint of pain and nostalgia in his eyes. Hao swallowed, trying to control his emotions. Minghao paused for a moment, gathering his thoughts.

He knew that the answer to your question was the answer he had been fighting for. "Because... after we were separated, I couldn't stop caring about you." Minghao's voice was almost a whisper. "You're my friend, a part of my life for a long time, and even though we're not together, it doesn't erase all the memories, the feelings..."

You swallowed, feeling your throat a little tight and dry. You continued to look out the window without looking at him. It was funny and so skeptical what you felt from his words. but maybe it was the honesty he threw at you even though he had left you for his marriage to another woman.

"You're already with someone new, your family and your wife... why do you still care about me...?" You actually didn't expect this meeting to happen, after being apart for so many years and suddenly meeting him again made you a little conflicted. Minghao chuckled wryly, a bitter smile plastered on the corner of his mouth.

He knew his words must sound unreasonable to you. After all, he was married now, yet here he was, admitting that he still cared about you. "It might sound ironic, huh." Hao said softly, "But the problem of my feelings for you will never go away, the main thing is I still care about you" Minghao's grip on the steering wheel tightened, his knuckles turning slightly white.

His words made you amused, almost making you laugh with his statement. And now he brought up his feelings for you. You just kept quiet and closed your eyes, listening to his statement and also his explanation

"Oh yeah?...anyway, how are you... i mean your job...and your family? Is your daughter okay now?" Minghao was silent, his gaze also became tense with your question. Before answering, he took a deep breath...he wondered to himself, how did you know that he now had a daughter?

"I've been fine all this time, my job..., it's going smoothly even though sometimes hectic and very busy. And...about family, my wife, my marriage...it's a bit complicated." Hearing his answer, now makes you feel guilty asking something like that, feeling that the current situation is very wrong with this meeting.

"Good, This...I hope today is our last meeting, hao" you replied. Minghao watched you and raised his eyebrows when he heard your words. He knew that the current situation was uncomfortable and wrong for you, "I know this is wrong for you," he said, his tone low. "Indeed I'm married now, and I shouldn't have to feel that I care about you anymore."

He replied, trying to push away the feelings that had resurfaced. "But you don't know, it's hard for me to pretend that I don't care about you until now." Minghao's hand slowly rose, as he held your tiny hand, pulling it slowly towards him.

The impulsive action was enough to make you furrow your eyebrows in surprise when he started to place your hand on his chest. He held your hand on his chest, his heartbeat pounding in your palm. Hao's gaze was fixed on the road in front of him, but his mind wandered elsewhere.

"Do you feel it?" Hao murmured, his voice shaking slightly.

"It, happened when I was near you,"

"Hao...-" You swallowed, your eyes widening in surprise at his actions. You could only grip your fingers tightly and bite your lip while continuing to stare straight ahead, trying to block out the feeling he was giving you.

You tried to shake this feeling, trying to free your hand from his embrace. "Heard me..., don't let go, I wanna say something" he continued, but you kept on snickering and wanting to let go of your hand, making him sigh deeply and tighten his grip on your wrist.

Minghao squeezed your hand when he felt you trying to pull away. He didn't want to let go. He wanted to hold on to this moment, this feeling, a little longer. "I know this is wrong," he replied, his voice heavy with guilt and regret. He hesitated for a moment before continuing, his thumb gently caressing your knuckles.

"I just wanna say, that I miss you... I'm tired, I'm tired after my wedding, I choose to focus on my new life, but..."

"Your presence was never fade in my mind..." "I realize, that I'm longing for you all this time..."

"Just for today, can we forget everything else, I consider tonight a reunion and a moment for us to meet again ?"

Your mind is now conflicted and opened by the moment past with him, you want to forget everything and force your past thoughts not to come out, but not with his heartbeat, his warm body radiating from your tiny hand lying on his chest.

Open all the old memories with him, when you spent time with him, establish a relationship as friends but like a couple date do, even more than that...sharing experiences...giving each other first kiss, first night...and other things.

Moments from your past replayed in your mind at that moment. How you first met him, it was your first sight...you started to befriend him since you were in grade and graduated from high school.

Who would have thought, as time went by you and him had feelings for each other, which were not yet known and wanted to express those feelings openly... but about that, you and him were afraid that it would ruin your friendship that you two have later.

Without you realizing, that you started to live a friend with benefits relationship with him, having time and moments spent almost like partners in love, but with the word 'Friend'.

With your friendship, you and he often share experiences together, help each other when you and he are in a down or difficult time. Share complaints, and provide motivation. Always be there for each other, both in joy and sorrow. Of course during your college years, you and he also help with 'needs' problems, and several other problems, like they said... True friends should be able to help each other, and give them benefits.

He helps you a lot, and vice versa you to him. He even once helped you find a partner, but... you refused it. You said at that time, "For me, a partner can be called a friend... you are my friend, so why should I look for a partner?"

And in the end, you are already in your comfort zone when you are with him.

If he wasn't your friend, you probably wouldn't have come to this fucking wedding shit for you, that day you saw him with that woman, celebrating their special wedding day. All the guests and their family were happy on that day.

The lines of your lips lift, a smile clearly etched as a form of happiness. As his friend, you are a special guest for him. Your eyes are flooded with tears, along with your smile, but those are not tears of happiness but rather, you are powerless...your chest feels tight, you feel like you just want to go home and cry alone in your room that day.

You are looking at this arranged marriage before your eyes, even though...your lips tremble, your eyes are filled with tears, every time he says the words of the wedding vows to his bride it makes you helpless, knowing that he actually only said those vows to another woman who will be his wife, and it's not you.

What's the point of thinking like that anyway...? After all, you're just his friend... You as his friend should be cheerish and support him, happy when he is in happy.

Remembering that moment, you could only close your eyes that couldn't hold your tears anymore, letting them drip down your cheeks slowly. Now that moment is just a memory, a sweet memory that might never happen again.

Has he broken his promise now? All of that seems like a lie to you.

"I promise I won't leave my friend..." "I promise I won't be in a relationship before my friend be in too."

It's a lie, everything is a lie... "I want it with you, hao...nothing someone else, but just only you..."

Remember when I said I wasn't gonna post fanfics? I lied. I'm gonna post just this one as an excuse to have some Johnshi in my life but also because its rare I write a fic that isnt a self indulgent oc fic

This is just a lil fic where Kenshi comforts Johnny after a stunt on set leaves him with an injured ankle, mostly cute banter. Also sorry if the formatting looks weird, i dont normally post fics to tumblr so idk how to space my paragraphs like I do on google docs.

The Hollywood actor carried himself on his crutches across the room, from the door to his living room couch, where he saw Kenshi waiting in anticipation.

“Honey, I'm home,” Johnny announced in a parody of those old movies, how he loved his dumb movie references.

“Doesn't sound like good news. Are those crutches?” Kenshi asked, judging by the sound and the patterns of the sound. Though he usually relied on Sento for sight, he hardly ever felt the need to in a casual setting, so it rested in the mantle above the fireplace.

“Yeup. Doc says I'll need ‘em for a few weeks, a month at most.”

Kenshi crossed his arms and leaned back on the couch. “Was that stunt still worth it?”

Johnny snorted, “Totally, the shot came out perfect! You may not know this, but I do all of my own stunts. Impresses everybody when I tell them that!” He dropped a small paper bag of his prescribed painkillers on the coffee table and sat next to Kenshi, wincing as he lifted his ankle to rest it on the same table.

“Aren't stuntmen used so the real actors don't get hurt?”

“I mean- yeah. But don't worry, they're just gonna film everything else until I come back, which should be in no time. I'm just built different.”

Kenshi could just hear the cocky smile, causing him to shake his head in disbelief, but he couldn't hold back the small bit of laughter at Johnny’s pride and confidence. “Alright, but it looks like it's my turn to take care of you again.”

“Don't sweat it, Ken doll, I can take care of myself. You've already helped me enough, and you've got yourself to look after,” He noted all too seriously. Obviously there still rested some guilt in his heart over Mileena's rabid attack that day.

“That ankle needs to rest. That movie needs you and you need the money from it.” Undeniable. Johnny was still getting back on his feet (not literally now) after a messy and expensive divorce, he needed whatever work he could get at the moment. “You just let me know when you need something.”

Johnny sighed as he looked down at his injured ankle. These next few weeks were going to be the most boring while of his life.

Kenshi seemed to know Johnny wasn't feeling so good by the sudden quietness, not even a silly request from his offer. When Johnny of all people was quiet, there was a problem. “Johnny? You alright?”

“Yeah… I've just never been good at sitting still and doing nothing, you know? Now I can't even use my own pool in my living room,” He complained, as if having a pool in the living room was a normal thing.

“Come on, Johnny, you still have a whole mansion. Unless your attention span really is that small, you're not gonna get bored,” Kenshi lovingly poked at him. “It’s not like you're alone either.”

Johnny noded with a small smile of comfort. “That's right, I've got you, my best friend, boyfriend, and assigned FBI agent,” Johnny joked. Gods, not again with the assigned FBI agent meme. “And hey, maybe we can invite Kung Lao and Raiden over to hang out. You think Liu Kang would wanna drop by?”

Kenshi gave an amused smirk. “Probably not, but Kung Lao, might.”

Johnny looked down at the table again, spotting a marker. He groaned and wheezed as he leaned over to grab it, trying not to move his ankle off the table as his finger tips barely touched the marker.

“Johnny what are you-” Before he could finish his question, he felt a marker tapping against his hand.

“You wanna be the first to sign my cast?” Johnny offered, trying to play it off cool but his excitement was slipping past in his voice.

“You mean Hollywood’s megastar wants my autograph?” Kenshi teased. He took the marker into his hand, and Johnny guided his hand down to his cast. Confidently, Kenshi began writing his name.

“Not bad writing for someone who can't really see,” Johnny complimented, meaning it obviously and trying to make it sound like that rather than a mockery.

“I still know the motions of writing, that's enough to get by.” Of course Johnny hadn't seen Kenshi's messier writing at his job and maybe it should stay that way.

The real surprise was the small heart he drew right below his own name. Kenshi wasn't so into PDA, nor into cutesy stuff like that, so it caught Johnny off guard to see the small display. It wasn't like people didn't know they were dating, Johnny was way too into showing off their love and too loud to keep that secret, but it was rather that Kenshi was a more subtle lover when it came to their relationship, preferring to keep things behind doors. Still, it was a nice surprise, and at least now it made the cast way better to look at! Of course Johnny was already pulling out his phone to snap a photo of it to post to his socials.

“You're posting your cast, aren't you?” Kenshi reasonably accused.

“Gotta let the fans know production might be on hold.”

“Is that it? Or are you bragging about us again?”

Johnny snickered, meaning Kenshi was right. “Okay, you got me, but how can I not show you off? You're the coolest! A blind swordsman? Dating Hollywood's biggest hit? We're like a power couple!”

If Kenshi still had his eyeballs, he'd be lovingly rolling them, but admittedly it was kind of cute seeing how enthusiastic Johnny was about their relationship- and kind of funny to think about considering they were previously rivals over Sento.

Kenshi leaned in to press a kiss to Johnny's cheek, and he could feel the wrinkles of a smile under his lips. “Looks like you're feeling better about that ankle.”

“As long as I have you by my side, this injury is gonna be a breeze!” Now it was Johnny's turn to lean in, this time leaning to rest his head on Kenshi with closed eyes and a content smile. Kenshi reciprocated by wrapping an arm around Johnny to hold him. “Shit, that medicine they gave me is starting to catch up.”

“You get sleepy off of a couple Tylenols,” Kenshi playfully quipped, making Johnny laugh.

“Just saying it's a good excuse to nap on you! Unless you're gonna tele-fling me to bed again.”

Kenshi shook his head. “Maybe when your ankle isn't as broken. Right here is fine, just keep your ankle up.”

“Sweet,” Johnny happily murmured as he felt himself starting to doze off. Damn, Tylenol really did knock him out.

Hey katy, katy hear me out. So actor hobie gets casted in this big horror film, he gets to play the role of the slasher. The main character though (reader) plays obviously the protagonist and it can be like similar to scream like the horror movie- but! Hobie and reader havent ever officially met or done a movie together and the first time they see each other they immediately have a click as costars and maybe more? They build a very close friendship even with the roles of killer and victim on the set, and maybe they fall in love era? I dont know my minds thinking of a good slasher film and characters rn

Imagine the first time you met actor! Hobie is in full costume complete with mask blood and all the jazz and you're super intimidated bc he's so tall and imposing and the way he acts has you screaming for real not just for the cameras but you were genuinely scared of him. But the moment the scene wraps and he saunters over to you, taking his mask off in the process, his smile practically blinds you and his voice? Ohhh he's got you stuttering and tumbling over your words. It's safe to say you're not scared of him anymore because he's so nice and makes you feel comfortable on set but the moment the cameras start rolling again your stomach flips and now you're actually (acting) running for your life but you find it hard to hide the lopsided smile on your lips bc of your new found crush

Thank you for the ask, it was a TON of fun, even If it took me forever to answer. Also, a little warning, this Post is LONG as HECK and Kind of rambly

Revalink- Ship It!!!!!!!

What made you ship it?

I played Breath of the Wild in 2021 during the lockdown because I was finally bored enough I guess? (Funfact, I actually hated Botw before it came Out, because I was a little hater and didn't Like that the Zelda formula was changing lolol). The important takeaway Here is, that I already knew the Story and all memory cutscenes before I played it. The Other cutscenes Not included were new to me, however.

Revali was the first Champion I ended up saving (revali's gale is the best ability and I needed it for the towers). I was faintly aware of the existence of Revalink but never seriously considered it. Now while I was freeing the Terminals and got Bits and pieces of dialogue I thought that it was funny to interpret Revali having a crush on Link and that being the reason he's so mean to him. And it is funny tbh, but at that Point it was Just a joke to me.

And then came the fight against Wind blight, and oh. The dialogue right before?? The dialogue after?????? I should mention at this point that I played the Game in German, so many translations were different. In english, right before the fight, Revali said something along the lines of "Good luck (...) I only lost because I was winging it" and german He tells Link to be careful ("be careful, you hear me?")(also the delivery of that line, bro, voice actor was Not messing around) This in on itself didn't make me ship it, but it Set the tone.

The scene after the fight when Revali is saved and gives Link His gale... I almost dont know how to Put it into words, but the tension in this Scene? When He Looks at Link as If waiting for him to say something? When He Turns around "nevermind Just Go"??? It feels Like there are so many Things left unsaid, Like There's so much more to be said, even though their relationship is technically wrapped up at this point? It honestly caught me so off guard. Not one Scene with any of the Other Champions has this Kind of tension, Not even mipha (who is a Love interest for Link).

Well, then I went on Tumblr and my fate was basically sealed, lol.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

I Love the Potential of this ship! Theres so many ways how this can be insanely funny (this is one sided rivals to lovers, does it get any better than that?), it can be so incredible sad (death!! Amnesia!! Letting Go!!! One sided!!! Unspoken!!! Not meant to be!!! Lots of Other Things Im forgetting!!)

Its INSANE how Well they Work together, especially since I doubt it was done on purpose.

I have so many more thoughts, but I can't Put them together properly, so I'll leave it at that. The next point is Sort of a continuation of what I Love about this ship anyway

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

The fact that this ship isnt Canon and will/can never be canon is actually one of the best things about it, in my opinion (dont know If its an unpopular opinion)

It fits right in, in a way.

I Love it when two characters are written in a way, were they Sort of complete each other. Where they Share parallels, goals, have opposing personalities that still Match somehow, where they are each Others Drive and Motivation. Where their Stories Just fit so Well together that you know that they were clearly written for each other.

Link and Revali were Not meant to work Well together, Not Like this at least. Of course Revali was written as a foil to Link (correct me If I'm wrong please, I think this was the Case), so them being opposing is intentional.

If you think about these characters for a certain amount of time, Just slightly more in depth, you will find yourself with the revelation that they are so very similar, they would likely be able to be friends If they Just worked through their differences. But they never do! They never have the time/ are too caught Up in pushing others away in their own ways. They could have been something, but never ended Up being.

This ties so nicely into the theme of destiny and fate (kinda.... I feel Like despite setting this Up as a theme, botw doesnt really Go anywhere with it, so it mostly works nicely in fanfiction and such... Although, If you think I missed something about botw, pls let me know. I'm Not an expert on themes)

Theyre doomed by the narrative and the narrative Said they could never be, so they never were (Its kinda fun how that element is true in the real world as Well as in game)(is what I'm getting at)(theyre Not written as Love interests but MAN do they Work as a romantic couple)(cruel, poetic, amazing, ughhh?!???)(them working Well together as a couple was a coincidence, which again, opposes the destiny thing)(this ship has me in a chokehold, can you Tell)

I'm Just saying a bunch of words, I Hope they make sense... I might have also went off the rails a bit... Eh

Hello and welcome to my Ted talk.

Today is 15 de Septiembre, the independence of Mexico (fuck the Spain)(notreally), that means one of the most important partys in all México. In honor of that I wanna talk about one of my favorites villans of rottmnt, Ghost Bear, and how his name is a lot better in the latin spanish dub than the original.

So, this guy is a luchador and I think I don't need to explain what a luchador is. However, I want to explain that luchadores have weird and comical names (as example 'El Mistico' -The Mistic-, 'Cibernetico' -Cibernetic-. You get it). So, Ghost Bear is a good name for a luchador.

Well, in spanish his name is Fantasmoso. If you know some spanish, you may be seen how cool it is.

His name is a joke. A play of words.

Time for spanish class. In México and Latinamerica we like to grab the lenguage and use it as a toy. We create new words, use verbs in the incorrect way, use words in contexts that dont make sense, etc.

So, his name is actually two words into one that sounds like is just one.

First is Fantasma for Ghost

And Oso for Bear

So, Fantasm-Oso.

Now, here comes the part when we have fun. We tent to add suffix to words to make them more, cute or easy to understand, you could say.

We have, fantasm-ita -little ghost-, fantasm-ota -big ghost- AND fantasm-oso -bigger ghost-

And is so cool.

When we hear his name, we hear about a very big ghost, but also a bear, cause he is a bear. We hear a ghost that is a bear, a very big one. Is all his character in one word and is so funny.

Fanstasmoso stands for both, ghost and bear, but also the fact that he is a giant man. I like it so much 💕. And his voice actor is just -chef kiss-

THIS IS SUCH A WONDERFUL PROYECT!!! Clown i love you !! and everyone in the team!!! there is so much new content, and you made physical things!!! and there's audios now that really bring evrything to life!!! The banners are so great! All the bugs are so colorful and fun! You rearranged so much! The pixel art is adorable!!! thank you so much for this wonderful experience, will definitely have to go through everything again just to admire it more (and of course check for more hidden little things)

I dont mean to be rude, but why are you so against Henry being George? in the audition tapes "Betty" that you admit is probably patty, is seen interacting with George the whole time, in his tape, he only interacts with her too, and in the promo shots Louis is always with Ella, so what would be your explanation for that? I know we will know everything in exactly one month but I always see you saying that and it's been bothering me, im just really curious, could you explain?

Hey there, anon! No worries about being rude at all, I’m more than happy to explain and clarify! <3

So, it’s not really a matter of me being “against” Henry being George- it’s simply a matter of me thinking that the evidence doesn’t fully support him being George. It’s like. I’m not *against* the idea that dragons exist and are secretly living underground in cool dragon cities- hell, I’d love that! But I don’t see the evidence to support said underground dragons, and the same applies for George being Henry.

So, I’ve talked in a bunch of posts about why I don’t think that George is Henry, but I’m going to summarize the main reasons right here for you:

1.) The Ages

This collider article talked about TFS leaks & the fact that Patty had romantic feelings for George:

And that article describes both Patty and George as being at least 14 years old.

And when we look at the audition tapes, we can see that Patty is at least 15 years old, because she mentions that the confession booth has been her hiding place for the past 15 years:

However, Henry Creel is canonically 12 years old:

And even if you don’t think that the newspapers are reliable/somehow think that’s a production error, THIS is not a 15 year old boy- even his actor was 12 at the time:

So, this means that in order for Henry to be George, they’re either a.) going to do a romance between a 15+ year old girl and a 12 year old boy, which would be like S1 Nancy dating S1 Dustin for context & I think that’s extremely unlikely or b.) they’re retconning Henry’s canon age in the play/ignoring canon, which makes absolutely no sense and is extremely unlikely because the play has been confirmed repeatedly to be canon:

So, unless they REALLY pull some timeline weirdness with Henry’s age, there’s not really any possible way for him to be George AND for the play to be canon- unless they have a 15+ year old dating a 12 year old, which I really don’t think they’ll do.

2.) The Personality

George is absolutely nothing like Henry personality- wise. Based on what we see in the audition tapes, George is snarky and opinionated, whereas Henry, as a child, is shy and silent.

George is a loner, much like Henry, but that also fits with Allen Munson (who we’ll come back to later), and being a loner also applies to characters like Hopper, and even Bob- being a loner isn’t something unique to Henry. Hell, even being a “pale, moody, new kid loner,” like the description from that Collider article isn’t unique to Henry. That could apply to both Allen and Lonnie.

George snarks about Betty being “prom queen,” and dramatically tells her “that’s your cue”- you have to watch the audition tapes to see/hear what I mean, but the way he speaks and the way his lines are written is such a far cry from Henry- hell, Henry doesn’t even talk that way/his dialogue isnt written that way when he’s giving a dramatic monologue in the show in 1979- and Henry as a child is silent every time we see him and doesn’t have any of the same mannerisms as George.

3.) The “Powers”

Something that people love to cite as evidence that George is Henry is the idea that George has powers based on some of his scenes in the auditions. However, those scenes are actually great evidence that George isn’t Henry, because when you watch those scenes, the way George describes what’s going on is polar opposite to the way Henry describes his powers & the way we see Henry’s powers working.

George, for example, talks about hearing voices in his head telling him to do bad things/hurt people- something that Henry never mentions, not even during his 1979 monologue. George also seems to be afraid of his supposed powers, whereas Henry seems to see them as something natural/as a tool/as part of him realizing that it was other people who were broken, not him.

I actually think that the voices that George is hearing are the result of that weird radio broadcast that’s supposedly killing people that’s mentioned in TFS. And I think that his experience with Patty/seemingly seeing eachother in the void/teleporting/whatever that was is far more likely to be tied to Patty having powers, especially with all of Patty’s El parallels (the scenes where Patty talks about her mother), and with how frequently articles about TFS talk about how important Patty is going to be to the plot:

So, again, it’s not a matter of “oh I really HATE the idea of Henry being George, so I’m going to pretend it’s not true even though it is,” it’s instead a matter of “if Henry is George, I’m fine with it, I’m just really not convinced that he Is George & am somewhat frustrated by people acting like it’s confirmed that he’s George when it’s not confirmed at all and when there’s multiple aspects of George that don’t align with Henry & contradict Henry’s canon lore such as the age stuff”

Also, I’ve never denied that Patty and Henry are going to have scenes together- I figured they’d have scenes together even before the audition tapes, because they have that parallel at the Crele house window vs the church window in the TFS animated teaser trailer! And Louis and Ella being together isn’t really something that I need to explain, because I’ve literally never denied that Henry and Patty are going to have scenes together & all of my analysis re: Henry and George and Patty has been done with the assumption that Henry and Patty are going to interact frequently regardless of who George is. Now, like I talked about in this post, regardless of whether Henry is George or not, I don’t think that Henry and Patty are going to be a romantic couple. My thing is that I simply don’t agree that it’s firm/clear-cut that Henry is George. Me not agreeing that Henry is George doesn’t mean that I think that Henry and Patty won’t interact- it simply means that I don’t think that the George that we saw in the leaked audition takes is Henry/I don’t think that George was the code name for Henry.

And to more specifically answer your question about the connection between George and Patty’s interacting mostly with eachother in the audition tapes vs Henry and Patty being put together in promo stuff:

First of all, the reason why Patty and George seem to “only” interact with eachother in the audition is because the scenes chosen for the audition happen to be with eachother- both of their auditions read the same two scenes, just different sides of it.

So, Patty could have 500 scenes with other characters and those two scenes could be the ONLY scenes she has with George in the whole play (I’m not saying that’s the truth, but just as a hyperbolic example), and we would have no idea because we’re only seeing the tiny tiny snippet scenes that were used for auditions.

Second of all, like I said earlier, Patty and Henry interacting frequently in the play is not news to me.

Like, I just don’t really see the firm link between the auditions and the promo stuff/I don’t see how that points to Henry being George. Patty and George interacting frequently and Patty and Henry interacting frequently doesn’t mean that Henry is George. It just means that Patty (as we know) is a core character who’s going to be interacting frequently with multiple characters.

Third of all, regardless of how often they put Patty and Henry together in promo stuff, and regardless of how often George and Patty interact in the audition tapes, that still doesn’t change all of the issues that don’t align with George being Henry (all of the stuff that I mentioned earlier), especially since the play has repeatedly been confirmed to be canon material & the Duffers have even been talking with the TFS team while writing S5 & making the TFS team change things so that everything aligns lore-wise:

So, all of the evidence that points to Henry not being George isn’t something that can just be overlooked because it’s a separate play/they aren’t just taking creative liberties with ages etc because it’s all canon & they’re working hard to make sure that it all lines up lore-wise with the show. And lore-wise, Henry is 12, which doesn’t line up with Patty’s age (based on her comments in the audition about how long she’s been hiding in the confession booth throughout her life), and also doesn’t align with George talking about prom and prom queen etc.

It’s not a matter of me not wanting Henry to be George- it’s simply a matter of me not believing that he is George. I’m far more inclined to believe that Allen Munson is George, especially since the auditions didn’t use codenames for characters who aren’t brand-new characters (such as Hopper, his audition didn’t have a codename), so it wouldn’t make sense for them to use a code name for Henry. But it WOULD make sense for them to use a code name for Allen Munson, because he’s technically a new character, just like Patty.

If I seem particularly annoyed about the whole thing/about Henry supposedly being George, it’s not actually because I despise the idea- I’m annoyed a.) because the evidence doesnt support it and b.) because people are acting like it’s confirmed canon that Henry is George & trying to dunk on me for being wrong about him not being George when the reality is that it’s not confirmed whatsoever. The casting announcements didn’t give us ANY new information about who George was- all the casting did was tell us that Henry was going to be in the play- something we already knew! None of the code names have been revealed. There’s nothing in the casting that proves that George is Henry, and yet, for some reason, people are acting like it’s confirmed, which is where i get frustrated. I’m not even frustrated that people disagree with me, just frustrated that they’re acting like it’s concrete confirmed canon when it’s absolutely not.

Hmm.... hard to say since Sho is just. completely batshit. I guess the easiest and most obvious answer would be that we're both artists and like to find beauty in aesthetically strange things. But I dont think i have a single thing in common with him personality wise LOL

I think susukichi and sho have extremely similar temperaments + quirks and if they weren't on opposite sides of The Conflict they'd get along great. I said once before that Susukichi would be the Sho Minamimoto of NEO if sho literally wasn't also already in the game. Their vibes are super similar and they both want to have a fun time.

23. Favorite picture of this character?

This one marketing image from when the anime was airing is the funniest thing in the world to me. like. why the fuck is sho even here. he is in no way buddies with anyone in the hachiko gang (during this specific timeframe anyways) there is literally NO logical reason for him to be posed alongside this specific group of characters here. This image from sho's pov is just him + guy hes actively trying to kill + guy he's stalking only bc he's joined at the hip with the guy he's trying to kill + guy he met twice and beat the shit out of one of those times + 2 people he's never met or interacted with before ever. On a marketing level its clear they just wanted to include him with the main characters simply bc hes a super popular character among fans but it's makes for the most unintentionally hilarious image ever.

Shiba

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

First. he's extremely funny and dresses like a harlot. Second THE LAYERSSSS Shiba's primary motivation is like a puzzle that the narrative gives you all the pieces to and then invites you to solve. Not in that the game doesn't tell you what it is At All, it says as much that he's on a powertrip towards ascension, but it's difficult to wrap your head around Why until you deliberately examine and unravel each of his relationships with the other shinjuku reapers: how they affected him, what their side of the story is, why they're emotionally estranged but still sticking together, etc. I enjoy that you have to take the time to put it together yourself, but also the full picture you get once that puzzle is complete is one that i enjoy immensely. The fact that the core of shiba's plight is rooted in his relationships (or lack thereof) is very true to the spirit of twewy and I greatly appreciate that they applied all this to the game's main villain AND gave him a chance for redemption on top of it. His final scene is one of my favourites in the game and really sticks with me.

7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?

The memes. Shiba's so easy to meme on its great. I have a folder of shiba memes on my desktop whenever i see a new shitpost or edit i Have to save it. im glad he gets clowned on so hard. Shi Basuks Cok lives in my head rent free. I wish shiba's va did small comms like I've seen other voice actors do sometimes bc i would pay him money to hear him voice act that post as Shiba for real. But i can dream

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

I know i like Just finished talking abt how much i love the shiba memes but i also dislike how Majority of what i see of shiba is Just the memes and jokes. I wouldn't go as far as say i despise them at all (or i wouldn't have a folder of shiba memes) but I think its disappointing that i hardly see anyone actually take him seriously as a character or give him any consideration for analysis. Or not as much as I'd like to see, anyways (when i do see it it fucks hard though.) I think you should be allowed to be honest about your career choices and to express your disappointment, while yes you should be gracious about the opportunities given to you that shouldnt mean you cant honestly reflect on that expereince and have some regrets and be able to express that, l

John boyega point is a moot point, john was right to be able to voice his opinion, however he was blacklisted and treated so poorly b/c of anti-blackness that is a persistent problem within the industry, him choosing to go against the industry by choosing to express his dismay at how his character was handled in starwars and a racist fandom that feels like actors should be thankful to even be part of a universe and should shut up and be quiet.

This industry would rather have its actors be apolitical, voiceless and follow the industry like mindless zombies and when an actor particularly POC cross that line they get punished . I think actors should be honest about their experience, without undermining the amount of work that goes into making the film. Re: Being honest about your previous work...

Nobody said that Actors can't be honest about their previous work. There's nothing wrong with that. But I think some people forget that Hollywood is still at the end of the day a BUSINESS.

Think about your own job. Nobody wants a whiny little complainer baby who's always fussing 24/7 about what they should be getting or what work they should be having, especially when they've only been in the company less than most people.

It's one thing if Leo DiCaprio is talking about some old roles he did that may not have suited him because he's already an A-list actor who has proven himself over the years and he is simply reflecting back on some career mistakes..

The problem that I'm seeing with JE is that he's still VERY VERY NEW to the HW industry, but already he's been complaining for YEARS (not just once or twice!) about how he wants certain roles, or how he hated some roles he did in the past (ironically, the very role that made him famous 🙄), and it just comes off as being very arrogant, unappreciative, entitled, and whiny. 🥴

like anzu being so obsessed with a producer that she switches her whole schedule to line up with theirs and sabotages projects sometimes so they gotta hang out and fix her fuck ups. and even when they're berating her because they're tired of her antics, she's crying tears of joy because wow to have theyre full attention like this is a blessing!!! i think she'd be the type to have a little shrine of shit she's picked up from the producer. empty pens, failed proposal papers, a paper cup thats stained slightly with coffee— all sentimental. acts like a doting wife, much to the annoyed producer's dismay.

or makoto feeling conflicted as he uses his access to the info bureau to get info on a voice actor he likes and trying to get cast in the same game— or constantly spending his time in places he knows they frequent for a chance meeting. he's been a victim of izumi's infatuation so it feels wrong, but he can't help it. he's too scared of actually approaching them so he builds this elaborate delusion by just sitting in the same general area as the person. he orders what they order. and he mentally pretends to have a conversation with them as they eat. he uses audio editors to splice together clips of them saying "I love you, Makoto ♡" among other things and listens to them on loop (Check Check One Two by KurageP vibes) the odd feelings he has on this whole ordeal haunt him. every time he creates a new sound file he feels sick. why is he like this? they dont even know makoto exists. he'd like to stop but their voice is so sweet...

mayoi.... well... he's always watching from the vents anyway. now he's just making sure things are okay for his beloved. he acts as both a phantom that sends chills down their spine as they don't know if they're being watched AND as a guardian angel who leaves trinkets, snacks, notes, etc. not too different from how he is already actually. he just is more scared. he already hates his own intrusive thoughts that struggle to stay in. he doesn't want his beloved to hear them especially. so he's content watching them from afar. though sometimes he gets cold feet that day because of the creeping guilt + the looming fear of getting caught and being labelled as a creep and avoided by his beloved is too much. if, however, his beloved's heart is taken by another, im sure he'd spiral into a depression considering he'd be too cowardly to make himself known. he'd just wish them the best as there's nothing else that he can do without bravery, but anyone who sees mayoi notices he's a bit listless.

hiyori being much more forward in his affections than everyone else, showering the apple of his eye in gifts and love galore. he's used to getting what he wants if he has a say. while even in this state i think all idols would be able to take rejection, hiyori would be hit the hardest and be in denial for a while. his gift giving wouldn't falter and his compliments still are never ending, but the more they affirm that "yeah no... id rather not." he'd grow distant. maybe angry? he couldn't remain as such towards them though. in the end, he'd settle for just providing them with whatever they could possibly need and keeping a friendly distance. he still loves them. and it hurts they don't feel the same. but it would hurt infinitely more to have them hate him.

"Hi, thank you all for coming to rehearsals in the morning. I know its a crazy day with the career fair and all but given all your behavior last week, I believe we are lucky to be rehearsing at all," Miss Jenn explained.

They could all hear the disappointment in her voice at the way that they had acted.

"Okay. I'm just gonna say it, Zack Roy stole out Beast mask. Why are you not freaking out?" Carlos questioned.

Andy nodded her head in agreement. EJ kept reaching over, brushing his finger against hers and smiling innocently whenever she shot him a glance telling him to stop or they'd expose themselves.

"Because winners don't freak out Carlos," Miss Jenn said, nodding her head, "When they go low, we sing high,

"Uh, have either of you seen Nini?" Ricky asked Big Red and Andy who were on either side of him.

"Every time I open Instagram," Big Red said, holding up his phone to show Ninis singing page.

"I think he means here in school," Andy explained and Big Red nodded his head.

"Okay let's rehearse. EJ, remember where you are emotionally, Belle has just rebuked your marriage proposal and LeFou is rallying the guys to boost you back up. Let's hit it," she said.

"Dont forget to start on your left foot at the start of the chorus," Gina said, turning to EJ and Andy.

"Thank you. Anything else?" He asked and Gina nodded.

"Dont be distracted by your girlfriend, I dont care how secret you two are, his heart eyes are gonna give it away," Gina said, smiling at them.

Andy felt the blush growing on her cheeks and she looked away, hoping that nobody had heard that.

"And don't fall over," Andy suggested, EJ laughed, smiling at her.

Every day it was becoming more and more difficult to not show their relationship off but he wanted Andy to feel comfortable, and if she wanted to wait a little while to tell everyone. He'd wait, he'd wait a hundred years for her if he had to.

Andy and Gina walked over to the stands, sitting in front of Ashlyn who cheered Big Red on.

Seb started playing the song and Big Red started singing. Everyone cheered him on.

It was hard for Andy to take her eyes off of EJ, despite the fact that Big Red was acing the performance.

Everyone applauded for them, EJ getting up at his part, "As a specimen yes I'm intimidating," he sang, flexing his muscles and shooting Andy a wink.

They continued to sing, Andy blushing profoundly at his gesture. "When I said don't be obvious, I didn't mean show of your muscles and flirt with your girlfriend," Gina said.

Andy chuckled, her face still burning as she looked at EJ. Gina smiled at her friend, the two laughing about it before focusing on his and Big Red performance.

He started juggling a bunch if eggs, everyone applauding him and Big Red. The boys were amazing, nobody able to compare to their talent.

"Dancers, glorious. Big Red, hilarious. And EJ, victorious," Miss Jenn said and he smiled, everyone applauding.

"Nice emotional connection to the material," Carlos said. EJ had the biggest grin on his face, smiling at the fact that he finally managed to get that right.

He had been wanting to be able to grow as an actor ever since and it was nice to know he'd finally gotten it right.

"And as much as I hate to break that connection, I'm afraid I'm the bearer of some bad news," Mr Mazzara said as he walked in, "We just got a call from the disciplinary board of an organisation I'm not sure even exists,"

He then explained that the production had to be shut down for a week as punishment for the trespassing. Everyone gasped, even though North High received the same punishment.

"Miss Jenn, we can't lose a whole week when we haven't even started blocking the second act yet," Carlos stated.

"We are going to keep our heads down and our chins up," she said unconvincing.

"I don't...I don't think thats physically possible," Seb said, trying to do it himself.

"Its an expression Sebastian," Miss Jenn scolded, not seeing the hurt expression on Sebs face as she said that.

The school bell rang and EJ and Andy started walking to the next lesson, Andy complementing him on everything.

He had the biggest grin on his face as they talked about the rehearsal. She sat down in class, him sitting in front of her.

They sat there, EJ turning around to talk to Gina, Carlos, Andy and Seb, "Do guys have any guesses on the guest speaker?" He asked.

"Unless it's Alan Menken himself coming to apologise for what happened to us, I'm not here," Carlos explained.

"Ooh, I would die if it was like, Greta Gerwig," Seb said, a huge smile on his face.

"As long as she brings Timothée Chalamet or Saiorse Ronan, they're so hot," Andy said, her and Seb smiling at each other, "And great actors of course,"

"You know you're not picking the person, right?" Carlos questioned, Seb shrugging his shoulders.

There was something weird going on between the duo and Andy had only just noticed it.

"Whoever it is, I'm sure they'll remind us to seize the day and then let it go," EJ said, Andy nodding.

"Every year, same speech, but I'm still rooting for it being Satan one year," she confirmed, EJ smiling at her.

He laughed at her silly little joke and she looked over at him.

It was surprising that everyone hadn't noticed how head over heels he was for her yet with all those grins and flirty looks.

"Class, class, I am thrilled to present one of East High most generous benefactors," their teacher said as a man walkes in.

Andy saw EJ tense up instantly. It was his dad. She reached over - because she sat behind him - and gently squeezed his shoulder before watching him sink down into his chair.

"Mr Cash Caswell with tips on success in life," Mrs Day explained and everyone applauded except for Andy and EJ.

"Called it," Andy whispered to herself, talking about the fact that she knew Satan was visiting today.

"Students, its an honour. Success is all about legacies. The ones that we inherit, the ones that we build," he explained.

Andy couldn't see EJ's face but she knew he was uncomfortable, he never was happy when his dad was around.

"I'm lucky to have a son that carries the Caswell name with pride," he explained, "In fact, I wasn't going to do this today but come on up here Eej,"

EJ looked around before standing at the front of the class, "This isn't gonna go well," Andy said to Gina who was sitting next to her.

"Oh come on, his dad seems like an okay guy," Gina said, not knowing what Andy knew.

She had known him for so long and had known the family that she knew what Cash Caswell could be like. He was manipulative and a had person to him.

"Just wait," she said, staring at EJ at the front. She gave him a reassuring smile, one that he struggled to return.

"My father gave me this when I got into Duke, now its yours," Cash said and EJ looked at it confused

Everyone applauded, Andy joining in but seeing that her boyfriend was clearly distressed.

She knew that he hadn't gotten in. She had been there to comfort him when it had happened so she was confused what was going on now.

Cash whispered something in EJs ear before EJ sat down, holding his Duke jumper in his hands and putting on a fake smile.

"Now, how many of you are familair with the phrase, seize the day?" Cash asked.

"You okay?" Andy whispered, leaning over her desk.

He looked back at her, shaking his head, "I'm fine," he said. She wanted to just reach over and pull him into a hug and promise everything was gonna be okay but she couldn't.

She knew that there was something going on here and she was going to get to the bottom of it.
