I runned out of tags,, i will compile all of this and reblog it as text, i guess
Please put your logic in the tags Iâm genuinely interested in this cause Iâve seen a few good takes already, even if I think something different.
Please remember that avatar and victim are two different things and while there are certainly overlaps in some instances mostly an avatar is a manifestation of a power that gains energy from feeding off of victims of the power that they belong to. They can still suffer from a power, but they arenât itâs main prey, more of a mouth piece. Or living snare.
#okey. so this is gonna be long#first: dual avatar of the hunt & stranger; why? hunt: he's always chasing something. whenever he's up and awake he's moving towards#something and when he finishes? he INMIDEATELY starts chasing something else he's could be defined like the hunt ritual âeverchaseâ#stranger: he's so uncanny. he's always talking to himself; he always looks at you slightly off; every person that encounters him casually#ends up seeing something strange about him!#all of those chats w John while in cabs? you can bet the drivers were creeped right the fuck off abt him! and that deff feeds the stranger#second: the eye and the web âare fondâ of him; web: he's so good at manipulating people! if he wasn't so insistent on pursing people & goals#he definetly would've been snatched as a web avatar (similar to what happened to martin) i don't think he could be an avatar of it simply bc#he would refuse to be puppettered by the mother and all of her avatars are#he prefers to resolve his problems by chasing & violence (sidenote: not slaughter avatar bc his violence is NOT sudden and spontaneous nor#is it unmotivated or unpredictable)#eye: i mean? our boy is SET on knowing things even if they could potentially or definetly hurt him or even those around him! what's more eye#than that? (that was literally what led Jon to fully become The Archivist if Arthur's eyes were still his own he would've been an eye avatar#for sure)#third: victim of the dark; the desolation; and obvs touched by the spiral maybe even the buried & the corruption#dark: he does no longer have his eyes all he can see is darkness and he hates it! it would be so easy for him to get fed to the dark#especially bc he KNOWS there are monsters that go bump in the night and people out to get him his fears are not a âmaybeâ they are a âwhenâ#desolation: my man has been taking L after L- I mean- ok seriously#he keeps having one devastating loss after another (this is before even getting fully into canon; pre-canon + 1st part) he barely has the#time to get all of his pieces and gluing them back together before another tragedy or accident decks him in the face (his parents then bella#then faroe then parker) his life is loss and recovery from it only to get pushed back into it the second he is slightly back up#and his persons lead me to:#corruption: his relationships man; they are a lil messed up! he could so so easily get consumed by what loves him and tells him he's a home#his parents can't love him anymore; they're dead Bella never loved him; he never loved her they only married bc she was pregnant! he loved#Faroe so so much but he lost her because of his own actions and Parker got him out of the (metaphorical) pit he was in he clung to him as a#life boat & he was still alive bc of Parker and Parker alone at that point. he's also dead. now he has John; they bicker and they tear#eachother apart they hurt the other so deeply but they cant separate because the alternative is so much worse (even if John got a body they#would still be so codependent of each other; their souls are interwined after all)#you could argue he's already a home for what loves him. after all isn't he a home for John?#buried: man has been thru: 1) a loveless marriage; 2) the pit (non-metaphorical) i would not be surprised if all of his life he felt trapped

Why Women Kill | K. Mg
Genre: Mistery, Smut
Summary: your husband of 2 years was found dead while you were away. Kim Mingyu, the detective, try to help you find the truth.
The maid immediately dialed emergency services when she found her master lying lifeless in the dining room. Meanwhile, you, the wife of the house, were in your hometown when the devastating news broke. As soon as you stepped foot in the house, you were met with the sight of police officers investigating the scene. The circumstances of your husbandâs death had led them to suspect foul playâpotential murder.
A tall man introduced himself as Detective Kim, accompanied by Detective Hong. They both approached you as you stood at the entrance, your luggage still in hand. The devastation on your face was unmistakable, a combination of the long flight from abroad and the shocking news had clearly shaken you.
"I'm so sorry for what has happened to your husband, but we need your full cooperation during the investigation," Detective Hong said gently, before outlining the procedures that would follow in light of your husband's sudden death. His voice was professional yet compassionate, understanding the weight of the tragedy you were facing.
"Please, let us drive you to the place where you'll be staying," Detective Hong offered. "Itâs the least we can do for you right now."
"I'm afraid it would be an inconvenience..." you started to protest, your voice weak, but Detective Hong insisted.
The three of you made your way toward the car. Detective Kim took your luggage, his silent demeanor revealing a quiet respect. As you walked, Detective Hong engaged you in conversation, asking about your husband.
"I'm sorry," Detective Hong suddenly said, glancing at his phone. "Mr. Choi needs to see me right away. Mingyu, is it alright to drive alone?"
"Of course," Detective Kim replied politely, opening the car door for you. "Please, Mrs. Moon."
As you settled into the passenger seat, Detective Hong, whose full name was Hong Jisoo, tapped Detective Kim on the shoulder. "Mingyu, I trust you with this. Youâre a skilled profilerâI hope you pick up on anything during the drive."
"Iâll do my best, hyung," Mingyu replied with a determined nod.
Later that night, Mingyu and Jisoo reconvened at the police station to discuss the case. Moon Junhui, a renowned celebrity chef, was now the subject of a murder investigation.
"The forensic results should be in by tomorrow," Jisoo informed the team. "Itâs hard not to feel for Mrs. Moon. She was on vacation in her hometown, and now she comes back to find her husband mightâve been murdered."
"During our conversation, she seemed like a devoted wife," Jisoo continued, his gaze flicking toward Mingyu. "She sacrificed a lot after settling down with Moon Junhui. Did you notice anything suspicious about her while driving her to the hotel?"
Mingyu leaned back, thoughtful. "Just like you said, hyungâshe seemed lost, devastated even. But I didnât notice anything out of the ordinary. Still, I donât want to jump to conclusions until we get the forensic results."
The next day, the results came in. Moon Junhui had died from arsenic poisoning, found in his system. The investigation kicked into high gear, and police began interviewing those closest to the victim, including Jung Seyeon, the maid who had found him.
"What was your relationship with the victim?" Detective Kim asked Seyeon as she sat across from him in the station.
"I work for him. Iâve been his maid for about a year now."
"And what happened on the day you found him?"
"My shift starts at 6 AM, and I usually stay until the next morning. Mrs. Moon wasnât in town, and Mr. Moon is typically at his restaurant until 10 PM. But when I went to check the kitchen, I found him lying on the floor and immediately called emergency services."
Mingyu scribbled down notes. "You mentioned your shift starts at 6, but you called emergency at 5. Why did you arrive an hour early?"
Seyeon nodded quickly. "Mr. Moon asked me to come early that day to get groceries to stock the fridge."
"Your husband was found dead after drinking a cup of coffee he supposedly made himself. He was estimated to have died around 3 AM, but wasn't discovered until 5. Can you tell me anything about your husbandâs habits that might help us?"
You took a deep breath, your voice trembling as you tried to keep your composure. "IâIâm not sure why he was home so early. Heâs usually at the restaurant late into the night. Iâm usually home alone."
"But he didâhe does love coffee. He couldnât go a day without it."
"Is it common for him to drink coffee around that time?" Jisoo asked, his tone gentle but probing.
You shook your head. "No, not at all. Heâs normally at work. But I always made his coffee in the mornings."
"What time would that be?" Jisoo pressed.
"Junâs an early riser. He usually had his coffee around 7 AM, before his morning workout."
You hesitated, then added, "He also preferred his coffee made with bottled water, never tap."
Both Jisoo and Mingyuâs attention sharpened at that. It was a small detail, but potentially significant. The tap waterâor the bottleâcould be a key to unraveling this mystery.

Who would have thought that a maid, secretly having an affair with her employer, could murdered him out of jealousy toward his wife? The case involving the popular coupleâMoon Junhui, the celebrity chef, and Ji Y/N, a former actressâshocked the nation. The story immediately went viral, flooding the internet with comments as netizens discussed the tragic events that had unfolded.
The police had finally unraveled the tangled web of deception. They revealed to the public that a woman with the initials JSYâJung Seyeon, the maidâhad laced one of the water bottles in Jun's fridge with arsenic. The poison had originally been intended for his wife, but fate had intervened, and Jun himself drank from the bottle instead. When Jung Seyeon was apprehended, the footage of her resisting arrest and furiously denying the charges went viral, fueling the public's fascination with the case. The world watched in disbelief as the truth unfolded, and messages of sympathy poured in for youâthe true victim in the entire ordeal.
Now, you sat across from Detectives Jisoo and Mingyu, the weight of revelation hanging heavy in the air between you. Jisoo had just asked about the state of your relationship with Jun in the months leading up to his death.
"I donât think I should talk about this, especially since the investigation is officially over," you said softly, your voice tinged with exhaustion.
Jisoo shook his head gently. "I understand, and I donât mean to press. But you did mention earlier⊠you said you couldnât get pregnant? And that your relationship shifted after that?"
Your gaze fell to the floor, the pain of the past months bubbling up inside. "I donât want this to be public knowledge. He was⊠someone I used to love, even though he cheated on me in the end. I canât deny that, for a long time, he was a husband I loved." Your voice cracked with emotion.
Jisoo looked at you, sympathy in his eyes, before he nodded slowly. "I understand. Weâre very thankful for your cooperation. Please, if thereâs anything you need during this time, donât hesitate to reach out."
With that, Jisoo and Mingyu quietly excused themselves, leaving the hotel room and giving you the privacy you so desperately needed.
As they walked down the hallway, Jisoo let out a long breath. "Sheâs an amazing woman," he murmured, the weight of everything they had learned settling on him. "I just donât understand why Jun would cheat on her."
Mingyu nodded in agreement. "Itâs a tragedy. But at least the truth is finally out."
"Yeah," Jisoo replied, "at least now she can start to heal."
*
Meeting you again felt like a miracle. The once-hopeful theater student you had been had blossomed into one of the top actresses in the country. Your face was everywhereâon billboards, magazine covers, and in TV commercials. You were known not only for your beauty but for your incredible acting talent. Mingyu couldnât help but feel proud as he watched you move effortlessly through the crowd at the college reunion for the photography club. He had been there during your early struggles, and seeing you now made him realize how far youâd come.
After mingling with old friends, you finally made your way over to him. âHey, how are you?â you asked, your voice soft yet familiar.
Mingyu smiled, his heart skipping a beat. âIâm great. You look amazing today.â
You smiled back, a gentle warmth in your eyes. âThank you. Howâs your work, Mr. Detective?â you teased, your playful tone bringing back memories of the past. Mingyu chuckled softly, feeling a rush of nostalgia.
âHow do you know?â he asked, biting his inner cheek to stop himself from grinning too widely.
âI saw your promotion in the newspaper. Congratulations,â you replied.
Mingyuâs heart skipped again. You had still been keeping tabs on him, even after all these years. âThank you,â he said. âI watched your last movie in the cinema. You were incredible.â
You laughed lightly. âThat was two years ago. I havenât been in anything since then.â
Mingyu nodded, recalling how you had become more elusive since your marriage to celebrity chef Moon Junhui. You had once been everywhere, but now you rarely appeared on TV or in public.
Despite the years and the changes in your lives, the conversation flowed easily, as if no time had passed. By the end of the night, you and Mingyu had exchanged contact information, rekindling a connection that had been dormant for years. This time, it was differentâfriendlier, warmer, but without the romantic tension that had once existed between you.
In the following days, Mingyu would occasionally send you pictures he found of you during work, little snapshots of your past. In return, youâd send him amusing messages or pictures from your quiet days at home.
One night, Mingyu saw five missed calls from you, all while he had been buried in work. Concern immediately washed over him as he dialed your number, and you picked up almost instantly.
"Hey, sorry⊠I was working earlier. You never call this late," he began, but his voice faltered when he heard something unusualâyour sobbing.
"What's wrong? What happened?" he asked, alarmed by the silence that followed.
âCan you come? Iâm so scared,â you whispered, your voice trembling with fear. Mingyu didnât hesitate. He asked for your location, and you told him you were in a hotel, far from homeâalmost an hour away. Without wasting another second, he grabbed his keys and left.
When he arrived at the hotel and knocked on your door, nothing could have prepared him for the sight before him. Your hair was disheveled, your eyes were red and swollen from crying, and there was a small cut on the corner of your lip. Mingyu's heart dropped.
He gently pushed you back into the room, his eyes scanning your body. Bruises covered your arms, your neck, and one side of your cheek.
âDid he do this to you?â Mingyu asked softly, kneeling before you as you sat on the edge of the bed, his eyes filled with concern.
You nodded slowly, fresh tears slipping down your cheeks as a sob broke free. Mingyu wrapped you in his arms, holding you tenderly. âIâm so sorry,â he whispered, his heart breaking for you.
He had always admired your strength. You were passionate, driven, a force to be reckoned with. But now, seeing you like thisâshaken, broken, after your husbandâs abuseâsomething inside him snapped. He couldn't stand to see you treated this way.
âDoes he do this to you a lot?â Mingyu asked gently, afraid of the answer.
âNo,â you whispered, shaking your head. âThis is the first time⊠but heâs been verbally harassing me for a while.â
Mingyu's eyes trailed over the bruises, fury boiling inside him. The thought of your husband doing this made him clench his fists. How could anyone hurt you like this?
âWe had a fight,â you continued, voice barely audible. âI havenât been able to get pregnant⊠and I was angry too, but heââ Your voice cracked, and you broke down, the weight of it all crashing over you.
âYouâre safe now,â Mingyu said softly, pulling you into his embrace again. âIâm here. Itâs going to be okay.â
From that night onward, Mingyu became your rock. He was your confidante, someone you could trust during the darkest moments of your marriage. He supported you as you navigated the abuse and waited for the right moment to free yourself from your toxic husband.
And finally, that moment cameâwhen you discovered the ultimate betrayal. He had been cheating on you with the maid you hired just months ago.
âThey slept together while I was in the same house as them,â you said bitterly, your voice full of pain. âEvery night.â
Hearing this, Mingyuâs protective instinct only grew stronger. You deserved better, and he vowed to stand by you until you found your way out of the nightmare your marriage had become.
However, the past never truly left either of you. Despite the years and distance, there was still a powerful connection between you and Mingyuâone that neither of you could ignore. The comfort, warmth, and undeniable attraction remained, sparking once again whenever you were together. It felt like you had been transported back to your university days, when everything between you was new and exciting.
Originally, the plan was simple: expose the truth about your husband. But the abuse had escalated, and the maid, to your disbelief, had begun dropping subtle hints about her secret affair with Jun, almost as if she wanted you to know. It was sickening, and you found yourself thinking that they deserved each otherâa match made in hell.
âHe could have killed you eventually,â Mingyu muttered, pressing gentle kisses to the bruises your husband had left behind. Each touch was a mixture of tenderness and suppressed rage.
âI wonât let that happen,â Mingyu whispered, though he knew the reality all too well. If you divorced Jun, the public would likely turn on youâthe former actress with a scandal attached, while Jun, the beloved celebrity chef, would play the victim. The world loved him too much to see the truth.
Thatâs when the plan took shape. Together, you and Mingyu devised a way to make them pay. Using the maidâs background in chemical engineering, and Junâs obsessive perfectionism and need for control, the pieces began to fall into place. The plan was as meticulous as Jun himselfâjust as he liked things.
âWeâll be fine. Trust me,â Mingyu reassured you, his voice low but full of conviction. He leaned in closer, his lips barely brushing yours before closing the gap, sealing your pact with a kiss that was both comforting and charged with a passion that had never really faded.
You knew what had to be done. This wasnât just about revengeâit was about survival, about reclaiming the power that Jun had stripped from you piece by piece. And with Mingyu by your side, you felt like you could finally take it back.
*
âDid you use water from the bottle?â Junâs voice was low but scrutinizing as he looked at the steaming cup of coffee you placed in front of him. His eyes narrowed slightly, the way they always did when he suspected something was off, as if he was already preparing to find fault.
You nodded, offering nothing more. There was no need to over-explain; youâd already learned that. A year of being with Jun had taught you to anticipate his every need, his every request. You had become attuned to the meticulous nature of his preferences, the way he expected perfection in even the smallest details.
Jun lifted the cup to his lips, his expression unreadable. You watched as he took a slow sip, his sharp palate immediately distinguishing between the coffee made with tap water and the bottled water heâd insisted on after one too many complaints. When he set the cup down, he didnât say anything, just gave a slight nod of approval before turning his attention back to his tablet.
It had been months in the making, this habit you built, subtly weaving it into his life. First, it was the coffee. Then it was his food. Every dish prepared to his demanding taste, all of it crafted to make him dependent on that bottled water, his palate too sensitive to accept anything less. It was the perfect setup.
As you walked out of the room, your mind flickered back to Mingyuâs advice. âStart with something small,â he had said. âMake him dependent on it, and when the time comes, weâll use it against him.â
You didnât know it then, but that was the beginning.
âThat woman should handle the groceries from now on,â Mingyuâs voice had been calm but purposeful when he suggested it. He was sitting across from you at a small cafĂ©, his hand reaching out to touch yours. âSince sheâs his girlfriend, sheâll be careless. She wonât put in the same effort you do.â
The idea was brilliant. You had already seen how Seyeon was beginning to infiltrate your life, little by little, her presence creeping into spaces where she didnât belong. Letting her handle the groceries would be one more way to let her sink deeper into the affair.
The next phase of the plan was more complicated. It required emotional manipulationâa confrontation that would spark tension and lead to what Mingyu called âthe perfect motive.â
One evening, after Jun returned from work, you sat him down. The air between you was cold, detached, as if the love that once filled your home had long since evaporated.
âWe need to talk,â you said, your voice steady.
Jun glanced at you, sensing the seriousness in your tone. âWhatâs this about?â he asked, suspicion already creeping into his expression.
âI think we should divorce,â you said plainly, watching for his reaction.
Junâs face contorted, a mix of disbelief and anger flashing in his eyes. âDivorce? What are you talking about?â
âYou know exactly what Iâm talking about,â you continued, keeping your voice level. âI know about you and Seyeon. Iâve known for a while.â
The silence that followed was deafening. Junâs hands clenched, his jaw tightening. You could feel the rage building beneath his composed exterior.
âIf you leave her, I wonât say a word about it to the media,â you added, throwing down the ultimatum that would push him over the edge. âBut if you donâtââ
The threat hung in the air like a blade. And just as you had expected, the storm followed soon after. That very night, you heard Jun and Seyeon arguing in hushed but heated whispers, thinking you were asleep. You found your dresses shredded, your things broken, and Seyeonâs jealous tantrums began surfacing in ways that made it clear she knew her days were numbered.
The moment had finally come when Mingyu handed you the small vial containing the colorless, tasteless powder. âHere, put this in his water,â he said quietly, his eyes holding yours in a steady, unwavering gaze.
You stared at the vial in your hand, feeling its weightânot just the physical weight but the weight of what it symbolized. This was it. The culmination of everything you and Mingyu had planned, carefully, methodically, over the last few months. You felt a slight tremor in your hand, not from fear but from the adrenaline rushing through you.
âI donât know,â you whispered, your voice betraying a sliver of doubt. âWhat if something goes wrong? What if we get caught?â
Mingyu reached out, gently taking your hand in his. âNothing will go wrong,â he said softly, his voice soothing. âSeyeonâs been doing the grocery shopping, right? She hasnât been restocking the fridge properly. The water bottles will run low, and when Jun reaches for one, itâll be this one.â
You swallowed hard, trying to suppress the anxiety bubbling up inside you. Mingyu had thought of everything, hadnât he? Heâd been so meticulous, so careful, just like Jun. And now, he was asking you to trust him with something so dangerous, so final.
âIâll handle everything,â Mingyu reassured you, his fingers brushing over yours, calming your nerves. âIf anything happens, Iâll make sure the investigation leads straight to her. Sheâs been careless, reckless. Weâll plant the arsenic in her things. No one will suspect you.â
This was it. The moment you had been waiting for, months in the making. Everything was going according to plan.
And just as Mingyu had promised, everything unfolded perfectly. The investigation led straight to Seyeon. The arsenic was found in her apartment, carefully planted in a way that left no doubt in the minds of the police. The media frenzy that followed was everything you had expectedâand more. Seyeonâs public fall from grace was swift and brutal. The perfect crime, and no one suspected a thing.
âWeâll be fine, love,â Mingyu whispered one final time, pulling you into his arms as the chaos unfolded around you. You had trusted him, and in the end, he had been right. You were free.
*
âHow was your mother?â Mingyuâs deep voice broke the comfortable silence as he watched you from the couch. You were standing in front of the mirror, slowly smoothing lotion onto your skin, your body illuminated by the soft glow of the bedside lamp. Mingyu leaned back, his gaze following the gentle movements of your hands, admiring the peacefulness in the room. After everything the two of you had been through, moments like this felt sacredâquiet, intimate, and free from the chaos that had once consumed your life.
You glanced at him through the mirror, offering a soft smile. âSheâs doing fine. But sheâs getting older, and Iâve been thinking about asking her to move in with me. Sheâs so stubborn, though. She wonât leave the countryside. Sheâs always been attached to that place.â
Mingyu smiled, enjoying the way your voice softened when you spoke about your mother. It was something he admired about youâthe way you cared so deeply for the people you loved. âItâs understandable. Sheâs probably got a lifetime of memories there. But, maybe one day sheâll change her mind,â he said, standing up and walking toward you.
His hand rested gently on your shoulder as he spoke. âHow did she react to everything with Jun?â Mingyu asked, referring to the fallout from your former husbandâs scandal, his voice cautious but curious.
âShe was shocked,â you admitted, turning slightly to look at him. âBut not entirely surprised. Sheâs always known something wasnât right between Jun and me. I think what worried her the most was me suddenly staying with her for a month and then leaving again. She probably sensed something was going on beneath the surface.â
Mingyu chuckled softly, his eyes warm with understanding. âSheâs your mom. She knows you better than anyone else.â
He reached for the lotion bottle, squeezing some into his palms. Without a word, he gently began to rub it into your shoulders, his strong hands massaging the tension from your muscles. His touch was firm but soothing, easing away the weight of everything you had carried over the past few months. His reflection in the mirror locked eyes with yours, and there was something grounding in his presenceâsomething that made you feel safe.
âHow are you feeling?â Mingyu asked, his voice low, almost a whisper, as his hands continued to glide over your skin, working their way down your back.
You tilted your head slightly, pausing to think before responding. âI feel... relieved, but also worried. Itâs strange. I thought Iâd feel only relief after everything, but thereâs this part of me thatâs still anxious, like something could go wrong.â
Mingyuâs hands paused for a moment, then he leaned down, pressing a soft kiss on the top of your head. âThatâs normal,â he whispered against your hair. âYouâve just come out of a toxic relationship, and itâs going to take time to fully feel like yourself again. But youâre free now, and Iâm here. You donât have to carry that weight alone anymore.â
You smiled at his words, a warmth spreading through your chest. His reassurance was exactly what you needed, a reminder that you were no longer trapped, no longer alone. âThank you, Mingyu,â you said quietly, your voice filled with gratitude.
He turned you toward him, his hands moving to cup your face as he leaned in, his lips brushing softly against yours. âAnything for you,â he whispered, sealing his promise with a tender kiss.
The kiss deepened, turning heated as Mingyu's hand trailed from the nape of your neck down to your waist, gently yet possessively pushing you against the wall. His fingers explored every contour of your body, mapping out your curves, while your hand slipped into his hair, massaging his scalp. A soft moan escaped his lips, the pleasure from your touch sending shivers through him.
His hand slid under your pajama top, his palm pressing against the bare skin of your back before moving upward, cupping your breast perfectly in his hand. He massaged it with slow, deliberate strokes, while his other hand trailed lower, squeezing your ass firmly.
âI want to make you feel so good,â he whispered, his breath hot against your ear before his lips traveled down to your neck. His tongue painted your skin like a canvas, leaving wet trails as he marked you with kisses.
With a firm grip, he lifted your thigh to his waist, thrusting his hips against your core, letting you feel how hard you had made him.
âI need youâŠâ you whispered, hands tugging at the hem of his shirt. Mingyu didnât hesitate. He pulled you down to the floor, urgency in his movements as he unbuttoned his pants. You helped him peel his shirt off, both of you shedding layers like you couldnât get close enough.
His lips found your breast, his mouth latching onto your nipple, sucking and teasing it as if his life depended on it. Meanwhile, his hand slipped under the waistband of your pants, slowly dragging them down just enough to let his fingers explore. He groaned softly as his fingers brushed over your warm, wet core, teasing you with playful strokes before finally slipping one finger inside.
âMingyuâŠâ His name left your lips in a breathless plea, the sound making his smirk grow wider.
âWhat is it, baby?â he asked, his voice deep with lust.
âPlease⊠I want you,â you murmured, feeling the need building with every slow, tantalizing movement of his fingers.
âNot yet, babyâŠâ he shushed you, his finger moving faster, his other hand steadying your body against the intensity.
âAh⊠fuckâŠâ you moaned, your body arching as he added another finger, filling you even more. His movements quickened, relentless, as he pumped his fingers inside you, the wet sounds filling the room.
âCan you hear that? Thatâs you, so wet⊠just for me,â he rasped, his voice low and husky.
Your breath hitched as he slipped a third finger inside, the stretch making your head spin as your body tightened in response. The pooling heat in your belly grew unbearable.
âMingyu⊠I canât, itâs too muchââ
âCum for me, baby⊠I can feel it,â he urged, his fingers moving faster, harder, as if he were chasing your release himself.
Your body obeyed, the tension snapping as you hit your climax, gasping as waves of pleasure crashed over you. âIâm cummingâŠâ you barely managed to say, your voice breaking as your orgasm rippled through you, leaving you breathless.
Mingyu smirked in satisfaction, watching you squirt against his fingers. He lowered you to the floor, giving you no time to recover as he kneeled between your legs, his mouth instantly finding your wetness. His tongue swirled against your sensitive core, drawing out every last drop of pleasure as you let out a desperate whine, your legs trembling beneath his touch.
His tongue worked you expertly, tasting every inch of you, the sound of your moans driving him crazy. He could listen to you like this forever, and he knew heâd never tire of making you feel this crazy.
"Too muchâŠ" you managed to whisper through your hitched breath. Mingyu stood from his position, effortlessly lifting you into his arms and carrying you to the bed. As he laid you down gently, he pulled off his boxers, freeing his cock, which was swollen and slick with precum, the tip flushed redâan undeniable sign of how badly he wanted you. But tonight wasnât about his desires; it was about making you forget all your worries, about making you feel cherished.
His lips captured yours again as he hovered over you, gently laying you down on the bed. His hands moved up to your breasts, teasing them, thumbs circling your sensitive nipples, while his kisses trailed down your neck.
"I'm going to treat you so good, baby. You're my princess⊠Cum for me again, yeah?" he murmured, his voice low and tender as he gazed into your eyes. Then, without hesitation, he lowered himself between your legs again, his lips finding your core once more.
"Please, Mingyu⊠it's too muchâŠ" you whimpered, the overwhelming pleasure making your body tremble. Mingyu only hummed in response, the vibration from his voice sending another jolt of pleasure straight to your belly, making you moan louder.
His tongue worked you with expert precision, every flick and swirl pushing you closer to the edge. It felt like you were floating, everything around you fading away as pleasure consumed you. You could see flashes of white behind your eyelids, the sensation so intense you could barely breathe.
Sensing how far gone you were, Mingyu playfully pinched your thigh, grounding you in the moment just as your second orgasm began building. Your body jerked in response, and you gasped, arching against him.
"I'm closeâŠ" you whispered, the words barely making it past your lips.
"Yes, baby, cum for me," Mingyu urged, his deep voice almost a command. "Iâve got you."
Your body convulsed as your orgasm crashed over you, more powerful than the first. You cried out, hands tangling in Mingyu's hair, pushing him closer to your core as he licked you through your release. His tongue didnât relent, driving you further into ecstasy as your body quivered and your mind spun from the intensity.
When you finally came down from the high, breathless and trembling, Mingyu lifted his head, his lips glistening with your essence. His warm smile filled you with a sense of peace. Climbing back up your body, he kissed you deeply, letting you taste yourself on his tongue, the intimacy of the moment leaving you breathless once more.
"I love you," Mingyu murmured against your lips, his voice soft but filled with passion. He kissed you again, slower this time, as if savoring every second. "Youâre everything to me."
The warmth in your chest spread, a feeling of deep love and connection wrapping around you. Mingyu wasnât just making love to your body; he was worshipping every part of you, showing you just how addicted he wasâto you, to the way your body responding his every touch. He was all yours tonight, and he would remind you of that over and over again.
"You want me, baby? Think you can handle me?" Mingyu asked, his voice low and teasing as his gaze trailed down your body. Desperation laced your nod, your breaths coming quicker as you clenched around nothing, your body betraying just how much you needed him. Mingyu smirked at the sight, loving how your body was begging for him just as much as he wanted you.
"Are you sure you can take me?" he murmured again, his tip barely grazing your entrance, rubbing teasingly against your slick folds. Your lips parted in a soft whimper, eyes pleading as you muttered a quiet beg.
"Well, since you asked so nicelyâŠ"
Mingyu slowly, deliberately, slid his cock into you, the stretch sending a wave of pleasure through your body. Your walls welcomed him with a tight warmth, like he belonged there, and Mingyu whimpered softly near your ear as he pushed deeper, still amazed at how tight you felt around him, even after all this time.
"Oh myâjust like the first timeâŠ" he groaned, his voice thick with need.
"You're so big," you breathed out, making his cock twitch inside you. Mingyu hissed through his teeth, half-warning you to stop saying things like that, his control hanging by a thread.
"You feel so amazing⊠you have no idea," he muttered, burying himself fully inside you, both of you moaning at the sensation. It felt perfect, as if everything about this momentâabout you twoâwas exactly right.
"Move, baby⊠you can move," you urged him, your voice barely a whisper, but Mingyu heard it loud and clear. He began to thrust, slowly at first, then picking up the pace as you adjusted to the delicious fullness.
"Did he fuck you good?" Mingyu asked, his tone darkening as he picked up speed, the jealousy biting at him. He needed to know, needed to hear it from youâneeded the reassurance that no one else could make you feel the way he did. Not Jun, not anyone.
You shook your head, desperation and pleasure etched into your expression as your breathing grew more ragged. Mingyu could feel your walls tightening around him as he angled his hips, hitting the spot that made you see stars.
"Only you," you gasped out, barely able to form the words as he continued to thrust, hitting that perfect spot again and again. "Only you can do this to meâŠ"
Mingyu groaned deeply at your confession, pulling your face toward his for a sloppy, heated kiss. His lips claimed yours, your moans mingling as he lifted your leg, folding you in half to get deeper, hitting places you didnât even know existed.
His pace quickened, every thrust sending shocks of pleasure through your body. His fingers found your clit, circling it in sync with his movements, pushing you further toward the edge. You couldnât stop your hands from clawing at his back, your nails leaving marks, but the pain only heightened Mingyu's pleasure.
"I'm close," you gasped, the pressure in your belly building to an unbearable peak. Mingyu's arms slid beneath your head, pulling you closer, craving the skin-to-skin contact as he chased both of your releases. His moans mixed with yours as he felt your walls clamp down around him, your orgasm washing over you, pulling him deeper into his own.
Your body shook as he thrust through your high, and despite the overstimulation, he kept going, desperate to find his own release. His thrusts grew sloppier, more erratic, until finally, with a groan, he buried himself inside you, ropes of hot cum filling you as he reached his climax.
He dropped his head onto your shoulder, panting as he continued to ride out the last waves of pleasure, even as your body trembled through another small, overstimulated orgasm.
When the intensity finally subsided, Mingyu flipped you both over, letting you rest on top of his chest as your breathing slowly returned to normal. He gently stroked your back, grounding you as you recovered.
"Let's rest for five minutes⊠then I'll ride you," you whispered, voice still thick with exhaustion, but the promise in your words sent a spark through Mingyu.
His ears pearked at your words, and like an eager puppy, he grinned widely. The thought of you riding him filling him with anticipation. Finally, after everything, you are hisâ completely and utterly his. And he couldn't wait for more.
*
"Tell me something I don't know," Hong Jisoo stated, his voice slurred as he and Mingyu sat across from each other, four empty bottles of soju scattered on the table between them.
Mingyu didnât falter, continuing to grill the meat in front of him, though he knew where this conversation was heading. Jisoo's drunken state had loosened his tongue, and now he was asking about something they both knew all too well.
"I saw you with Mrs. Moon. Or should I call her Y/N?" Jisooâs brow raised, his words no longer filtered by sobriety.
Mingyu glanced at him, a brief silence hanging in the air before he sighed. "Since when?" Jisoo prodded, his curiosity piqued.
"We've known each other since college," Mingyu finally admitted, flipping the meat on the grill with a practiced hand.
Jisoo nodded, leaning forward. "So why did you pretend like you didnât know her during the investigation?" he asked, a hint of accusation lacing his words.
"It was... awkward," Mingyu confessed, his hand absently scratching the back of his neck. "We used to date for a long time. She got married, and then her husband died... tragically."
Jisooâs expression softened slightly as Mingyu continued. "You know the case. Jun treated her horribly, and honestly... my feelings for her were too strong. I couldnât just ignore it. Once the investigation was over, I reached out to her because I wanted to support her."
Jisoo nodded again, slowly digesting the explanation. He was a man who valued logic, and Mingyuâs reasoning made sense to him in his inebriated state. "So, you two are dating again? I heard she announced her retirement."
"Yeah," Mingyu replied with a nod. "We started seeing each other again. She retired and decided to move in with her mother. Itâs been good for her."
Jisoo sighed deeply, slumping forward on the table. "I was her fan, you know. She was a great actress!" he slurred, nearly knocking over the grill as he lost his balance.
Mingyu quickly reached out, steadying Jisoo before he burned himself. "Yeah," Mingyu agreed quietly, glancing down at the sizzling meat. "She really was."
As Jisoo drifted into a drunken stupor, Mingyu couldnât help but reflect. You were a great actress. And somewhere along the way, youâd taught him to be one too, hiding secrets behind composed smiles and well-practiced lies.

Gee, thanks DC! You Just Turned Bruce Into An Irredeemable Ass.
So, at the end of Gotham War Bruce has officially lost everything. Alfred is still dead, Selina is "presumed dead" and Bruce is both financially and morally broke. Why, you may ask, is Bruce so much worse off this time? Let me count the ways.
He preformed a psychic lobotomy on Jason
The "it's for your own good" excuse only makes the mental rape undertaken by Jason's own father that much more heinous.
Just when you think Bruce can't sink any lower he does. When Dick recognizes that Bruce has lost it, he attempts to use a failsafe disconnect that Bruce himself built into the system. How does Nightwing get thanked for that? Well that brings us to number two on the list.
Batman attacks up his eldest son for doing what he's supposed to do when Batman has gone rouge.
Bruce beats him up because nothing proves you are in control of your sanity like hitting your children. While Dick is holding back, Bruce does no such thing. He hits Nightwing hard enough to send him flying. It could have gotten even worse if Tim hadn't shown up.
Tim arrives and attempts to talk some sense into Batman.
Tim tries to talk Bruce down. It doesn't go well. When Robin is trying to help, as he always does, Batman uses the attempt to reason with him to put the smack down on his son. Bruce could have killed Tim but apparently feels no remorse or guilt.
If there was any teeny tiny little doubt that Bruce will not win the Father of The Year award in 2023 it died a horrible screaming death when Batman abandons his children to potential arrest. Yes, he left a batarang for Dick and Tim but any glimer of possible hope associated with that action was instantly extinguished by Damian's reaction to Batman's callous betrayal.
Bruce abandons Damian.
Look at Dami; he's devastated. Since he came into Bruce's life, Damian has struggled with feelings that he can never earn his father's love and respect. Well, that negative self-image was reinforced in way that may never be repairable. Bruce just utterly destroyed a 13 year old child because of his inability to feel any kind of empathy.
And how does this all end? The best part is that Bruce takes all of his parental responsibilities and dumps them onto Dick.
Thank you Chip Zdarsky and Trini Howard. You've taken Batman from being an edgy anti-hero and made him into a callous monster. Part of me hopes that Bruce never comes back because he doesn't deserve his family.
The only positive aspect in this convoluted mess is that Damian and Tim will be far better off with Dick than with Bruce. Yes, Tim is mostly independent but he still needs guidance (particularly since Tim's first instinct is to try and save Bruce). Damian is essentially Dick's son emotionally anyway so this might help to sustain the positive character growth we've seen in him as of late.
The point of this rant is to wonder what on earth DC thinks they're doing. This story arc has been pure character destruction as far as Bruce is concerned. It's bad storytelling too; rushed, frenetic and massively disappointing.
Hasn't the popularity of Good Dad Bruce in Wayne Family Adventures proved that fans are tired of Bruce being a dark depressed and brooding edge lord? We all accept that Batman is a character with deeeeep issues who is in desperate need of therapy. I, however, draw the line at Bruce being an abusive a**hole.
In years to come when fans wonder when Batman jumped the shark, this is the plot line they'll point to.
#bruce wayne#dick grayson#jason todd#tim drake#damian wayne#batman#nightwing#tim drake robin#damian wayne robin#batfam#dc stands for disappoints continually

i have seen several posts around that addressed how discouraging gale from taking the crown of karsus is âkeeping him from realizing his true potential.â that tara is merely upset at his choice, instead of being utterly devastated at the loss of her little love. that itâs not a bad ending per se because to get there he didnât need to sacrifice 7000 innocent souls in the process. gale isnât continuing the cycle of abuse either, he still appears to love tav and does come back for them to offer them ascension. he wants them to be equal, so it canât possibly be an unhealthy dynamic, right?
but what of gale himself, his own convictions, values, and everything he holds dear? everything flawed and human that shaped him into the person he is?
player: are you saying you want to ascend? claim godhood?
gale: no, not like that. i don't want to join them. i want to better them. a god's powers, paired with a mortal conscience, a mortal heart.
galeâs motivation for acquiring godhood is that he will able to aid mortals in a way no other god has ever done before. he wonât hide behind pretense nor require blind devotion of his followers. he will understand and be able to empathize. he wholeheartedly believes that he will be different - he will act.
gale: [..] the gods could aid us if they wished, but instead they cower behind ao. so let us act ourselves.
gale believes that by becoming a god he will kill two birds with one stone: aid mortals and acquire enough power to quash any of his insecurities and enemies in the process. that by ridding himself of every perceived flaw he'll finally feel like he will have enough to offer - maybe, just maybe he'll even be content. his flaws are merely holding him back from becoming the best version of himself, and by ridding himself of everything fallible, he will be whole. maybe this is what all of his suffering has led up to. maybe the orb chose him. maybe the reason he had to endure all the pain, isolation, and excruciating loneliness was so that he could realize that he was meant for something even greater. after all, power feeds ambition. and what is more powerful than a god? his convictions were certainly naive, he possesses enough knowledge to know better. don't get me wrong, part of him definitely wants to spite mystra a lil. but his intentions at that time were mostly pure. a reflection of his self-hatred and feelings of inadequacy.
player: this is wrong, gale. that power will corrupt you, even if you can seize it.
gale: it won't, i swear to you. it's merely a tool - a means to an end.
once we meet gale at the party in his new godlike form, it is apparent that even with all the power at his fingertips, he has reached no greater knowledge about himself. his insecurities are still as present as before, he merely is less subtle in his compensation - repeatedly highlighting his grandeur and how dull life on faerun is compared to the wonders of elysium. it is also genuinely crushing to see how little he thinks of himself even now.
gale: i was nothing. a drifting dust mote of a wizard, abandoned by my goddess, my powers lost, my reputation destroyed. and look at me now. i'm their proof.
any perceived dismissal of his Greatnessâą is met with immediate disdain.
gale: a bold decision to treat a divine being with such cold indifference.
nodecontext: aloof, annoyed you weren't impressed with him
gale: you mortals do love to live dangerously, don't you?
nodecontext: the slightest hint of a threat - you've probably made an enemy here today. or at least, you've lost a friend.
he is still desperate to impress. emphasizing what an honor it is that a new-born god chose to bless their little soiree with his presence. gaze upon all his divine glory! gale has now become the embodiment of everything he criticized about the gods. his original intentions and plans are discarded and long forgotten. he assuages his erstwhile companions by telling them to simply pray to him, in case they should ever require aid. if they're lucky and their ambition pleases him, he might even deliver.
player: what does the 'god of ambition' offer to his followers?
gale: i 'offer' them nothing. i inspire them to seize their destinies for themselves.
player: interesting, so you help mortals help themselves?
gale: precisely. though that isn't to say i'm averse to the odd bit of direct encouragement.
gale: [..] my aims are set a little higher than offering cursory blessings to just any half-decent spellcaster.
gale: regardless, ethical quandaries are more the remit of my mortal devotees. they do love to talk, and faerun is starting to listen.
aiding "any half-decent spellcaster" is unbefitting of his status. he isn't concerned with questions of ethics and morality either. deeming such matters beneath his divine capabilities.
once gale has ascended and established his domain, what remains of the gale we knew? what of his mortal heart?
minthara: your ambition is not cruel, but you fear that if you indulge it, you will lose yourself in the mysteries of the weave and unravel the world.
minthara: you are afraid of so many things, and it is that fear that keeps you true to yourself.
gale did lose himself and ultimately became one of his biggest fears. considering that his existence as a being of pure ambition leads him to constantly seek out greater heights, it isn't farfetched to believe that raphael's prediction will indeed come true.
player[astarion]: ambition? finally, a god i can get behind...
gale: i assure you, this is merely the prelude to a far grander vision. elysium's in for something of a shake-up.
all that remains of gale is a thin veneer of the person he used to be. what he presents is a hollow echo of the old gale. he does retain some of his mannerisms and quirks, but he is definitely a lot colder and more condescending. if his personality already changed that drastically after a duration of only 6 months, what will he inevitability turn into when he has eternity at his disposal?
essentially, you are aiding gale in the eradication of himself. eradicating everything about him that made him into the loveable, charismatic, awkward, kind, buoyant person he was. everything about him that he perceived as defective, flawed, and lesser-than. before, his hubris was merely an expression of his own discontentment and low self-worth, but now he is hubris incarnate. all of his worst qualities have been amplified.
gale: i am ambition incarnate. as indistinguishable from that most potent sensation as mystra herself is from the weave. and word is spreading.
nodecontext: palpable, almost unsettling excitement from him - hint of megalomania
he put his trust in tav, trusting their judgment and relying on them to nudge him in the right direction. after all, they had plenty of opportunities to show him that they are an ally worth following and confiding in. but in the end, the prospect of what he could be, the things he could give them, the enemies he could yet conquer, won over the desire to simply accept him and help him rebuild a life on solid ground. tav denied him the unconditional love he craves most out of their own selfish desires.
tara: you were looking out for him. i expected better of you.
as i've already mentioned, gale desires nothing more than to be seen, accepted, loved, and valued. having a partner who wholeheartedly supports and believes in him is enough to make him feel content. most importantly - he just wants to live. to enjoy life with everything it has to offer. his ambition canât be quenched because he hungers still. believing that only by acquiring more power will he finally be enough and reach said acceptance.
we see in his good ending that his own contentment was even able to influence and (temporarily) sate the orb's ever-present hunger:
gale: [..] or perhaps the orb's hunger was fuelled by my own, and my contentment influences it in much the same way.
gale: that's how i feel with you - content. it's a rather unfamiliar feeling, i must say. not something gale of waterdeep ever craved.
it is devastating that he doesn't reach the same feeling of fulfillment if he chooses to pursue godhood, and is instead compelled to continuously surpass his own accomplishments. not being granted rest or reprieve.
gale: i achieved everything we hoped i would, and still i'm not good enough for you?
gale pursuing godhood isn't evidence that he "has been evil all along" or that he "just waited to be unleashed" either. we can't diminish tav's influence in this outcome, they are after all an extension of the player. able to steer every companion toward a path of redemption or to enable them in their worst traits. fandom has already established that by letting astarion ascend you are actively supporting him in becoming the very thing he despises most, putting your own ambitions and idea of what you want him to be above his healing, this is no different.
tara: the gale i knew wasn't like this. he recognised his mistakes. he was contrite. all he wanted to do was live.
tara: unfortunately, he fell into company that turned his gaze towards foolishness. yes, i mean you.
player: gale is his own man, tara.
tara: false. he was mine. though now he belongs only to his own pride.
yes, the epilogue cutscene is beautiful and there is something bittersweet and romantic about his love for tav being one of the few emotions that remained a constant throughout the past 6 months. he didn't need to come back for them, but he did cause he loves them still. no matter how warped his definition of love may be now. while it is abundantly clear that tav ranks lower on his priority list than they did before, his commitment remains.
gale fears isolation, hoping to never return to the time when he was hopeless and alone, stuck inside his tower. by heading in this direction he is once again creating a self-fulfilling prophecy.
tara: [..] if i pretended you hadn't turned tail on every lesson you set out to learn, i'd have no right to call myself your friend.
morena may as well have already resigned herself to her sonâs death. elminster partly blames himself. for his lapse in judgment, as well as being the one who plucked him from obscurity in the first place. mourning the kind, bright-eyed boy who cried at the scorched roses in his neighbor's garden. tara won't be here anymore to care and look out for him either. he has lost his oldest and dearest friend, the one who witnessed his downfall from grace and never left his side. who believed him to be the finest mind AND the finest wizard she's ever had the pleasure to know. who was certain that heâd find a way out of any crisis no matter the circumstances. ...and if tav declines his offer to ascend with him? what does he have left?
gale: yes, i am rather radiant, aren't i?
tara: don't flatter yourself, gale. you've debased yourself in ways i could never have fathomed.
tara: goodbye gale, i hope the heavens are worth it.
galeâs godhood ending deals with the loss of humanity, the loss of oneself, and everything one holds dear. it is a devastating and bone-chilling narrative. it is a tragedy.
gale: i hope you don't think less of me. great ambition should not come at the expense of what you already hold dear. i see that now.
if gale could see himself, he would be horrified at the losses he deemed necessary to get here. he would be horrified at what heâs become.

A/N My classics major side came out a little bit in this one lol. Also I have a big classics major side fic in the wings so if you guys like this, just wait. Also Sir Pentious is from the 1800s so he for sure had a classical education. Also the title came from an article I was reading about the history of witchcraft for one of my classes.
The most complex and yet the most simple of the human emotions. Feared by some, wielded by others, out of reach for many, perennial for more still, and taken as easily as a breath of air by a solemn few. What a strange thing, love.
It was this last category that bewitched Alastor. Even when he had been alive, he had never understood the people like that, the ones who took heartbreak in stride, the ones who shared any love they had the minute they felt it with everyone and everything. The ones who weren't paralyzed by potential loss or violent embarrassment.
The people who feared love made sense. It had a vast capacity for harm, it was able to destroy without a second thought. Even when it was good, love could be devastating. Those who wielded it as their weapon of choice nearly fell into a subcategory of this group. They used other people's fear of the matter against them or they lured people in to get what they wanted and threw them to the curb without a second glance.
Everyone on earth, living or dead, had felt at least once that love was out of their reach, Alastor reasoned. Hopelessness is one of the most vital parts of the human condition, after all.
Perennial was the category in which most people fell. Love came and went. It lived and died, but always returned like the plants he had named this grouping for.
Then there were people like Y/n. Not a day went by where she wasn't explaining how much she adored something random or telling people she loved them, throwing the word around as if it had no weight, as if it was the easiest thing in the world to love, to share love. When Angel had made some snide remark about everything being her alleged 'favorite thing,' Y/n had quickly replied, saying:
"Aren't I lucky for that? Isn't that just wonderful?"
Alastor couldn't tell in which category he fell or what his opinion was about that answer of hers. One thing he did know was that Y/n was to be avoided at all costs.
She was the typical sinner. Never too bad of a person when alive, but never too good either. She wore her hedonism like a badge of honor, living her afterlife in much the same way Alastor assumed she had lived her living life: in a constant state of indulgence.
It wasn't the typical form of being that takes a person's mind when they think of the word. No, Y/n didn't indulge in a reckless, Dionysian way. Instead, she devoured everything. Books, good food, music, friends, you name it. Y/n had a million stories about each and a million examples of the best they all had to offer on hand. She relished in all that every word had to offer.
Alastor had overheard her talking to Charlie one night about that. He hadn't meant to, he had just been wandering the hotel, unable to sleep and in need of some air, when he'd heard a slight commotion in the lobby. Hidden by his shadows, he had entered the familiar space to find an exhausted Charlie standing tensely before a bulletin board.
"God is in the details." Y/n was saying as she adjusted the plans pinned on the structure so they were easier to read, more cohesive, "Anything can be a work of art, don't forget that. It's what makes everything so undeniably worth it."
She was so utterly out of his reach. Not that Alastor wanted Y/n in his reach, no. How ridiculous would that be: the Radio Demon, the most feared overlord in all of Hell, getting butterflies because he heard a girl tell someone else she loved them and imagined it was him. No, that would be utterly foolish which was why it wasn't the case, couldn't be the case. He must be getting sick, that was why his stomach had felt weird.
"What are you reading?" he heard Sir Pentious ask as the snake demon took a seat on the couch beside Y/n.
Alastor was at the bar, sharing a drink with Husk. His ear twitched in their direction.
"It's a book discussing the changes in interpretations of Sappho's poetry over time." Y/n replied, her tone soft and even.
It felt like a salve against Alastor's ears. Husk raised an eyebrow towards his master but made no remark.
"Really? I didn't know you were interested in that sort of thing."
"I was actually a professor in the human world... living world? Whatever. I didn't work on Sappho, I worked on ancient medicine, but I always found her intriguing and lovely. I mean, phainetai moi is creating a diagnosed love, using all the language of medicine. How could it not capture my attention?"
"You know, if you look at Homer, the same language Sappho uses is also used to describe love. She is actually working off a preexisting cannon of love as something painful and destroying."
"Really?"
"Yes, and curse tablets tend to draw off medical writings quite a bit as well, especially those involved in love magic."
"Huh, thatâs a neat little intersection I have yet to explore: medicine, magic, and love. I never knew you knew so much about this. You died in the 1890s, right?"
"Sometime around then."
"I should have guessed then, my mistake. Tell me, what was it like growing up with all this wonder at your finger tips? It was hard for me to even find a university with a classics department, let alone a good one. Youâre lucky to have had it all right there."
Now that was an interesting idea to Alastor. A diagnosable love, a painful and deadly thing. Love as a curse, love as being shot through by an enemy spear, love as a god. It made more sense to him than anything else about the matter had. Unavoidable, not something self imposed. A cursed love, a medical love, something that controlled a person rather than vice versa.
He lay awake at night, unable to speak, pale as grass, thinking unwillingly of the way her lips curved to form words, of the way one could see the gears of her mind turning behind her eyes. He lay awake, unable to do anything else. He stared at the ceiling.
"Ah! Angel! Thank you!" Y/n exclaimed as he handed her the sweater he'd spotted her eyeing a few days before when they'd been for a walk around town, "This was so kind of you!"
Alastor watched as Y/n pulled the lanky demon into a hug which he reluctantly returned, looking down at her with a platonic version of the sort of fondness that was so forbidden to him.
"Great work Angel!" Charlie clapped excitedly, "That's a step in the right direction."
No, it wasn't love. Alastor Hartifelt didn't love, he had lost that ability the day he had died and he'd barely had it before that. It didn't matter that his heart skipped a beat, there was no truth to his upset stomach when he had to speak to her except something bad he must have eaten. The sleeplessness wasn't new, sleep had never been his friend so to speak, the two had never really gotten along. The reason it got so stuck in his head, the way she threw her affection around, was the carelessness of it all, the foolishness. Only, what he had overheard her saying to Charlie that night, that anything can be a work of art, were the words of someone who acted purely on intention, who did nothing without considered thought.
Y/n couldn't be a wielder of love. Alastor never once saw her manipulate someone or even really ask anyone for anything at all. There was no way she was scared and the way she freely gave took her out of the other two categories as well. It didn't make sense. The intention, the earnestness, the true meaning behind her actions and words that always seemed to shine through no matter what she did, was what had him stuck. She barley even fit into her own category because of it. Most people that threw love around the way she did had the words and actions lose their meaning over time but, somehow, that seemed never to be the case for her.
He pictured a life on earth. He pictured walking with her beneath the stars, the way the light of the moon would play gently across her skin. He pictured her in the recording studio, the one he'd worked at while alive, waiting by the door for him to finish his work and taking him by the hand, dragging him off into the unknown. He pictured waking up beside her in the morning, all messy hair and smiles. He pictured, he dreamed, he dissolved. The doctors diagnosed him and he went to see other people because he didn't like the answer they gave him.
Y/n pulled Vaggie from her seat at the bar, spinning the demon into an ungraceful waltz to the music Alastor was playing on the piano for the group. He nearly fumbled, nearly missed a note. She missed so many steps and it didn't matter because she was laughing, and so was Vaggie. She didn't have to be perfect, but he did.
They each smiled ear to ear while Charlie clapped along to the beat. He imagined himself in Vaggie's place, he could practically feel his hands on the gentle curve of her hips. The world was half real.
It wasn't love because he didn't know her, he never spoke to her. It wasn't love because that was impossible, he couldn't love. It wasn't love because that was an ability he'd left in the world of the living. It wasn't love because she was too kind, too good, and he was nothing if not brutal and bloodstained to his core. It wasn't love because it couldn't be. It wasn't love because if it was...
It's not love. It's not love. It's not love.
He repeated the mantra to himself. Alone walking the halls, in meetings with the other overlords, making tea in the kitchen. He whispered the words to himself like a prayer.
It's not love. It's not love. It's not love.
Y/n was out of reach, untouchable, destined to join the ranks of Heaven while he remained rotting in Hell. It couldn't be anything else, no other future was possible which was why it wasn't love. She was made of all the things a human is and he was made of those a monster is. She was bright, she shined, and Alastor fed off the light of others, burning it out into darkness. He refused to do such a thing to her, he couldn't. Not when she was practically the sun. Not when he wasn't even a star but the black hole of the earth revolving around her.
He saw her holding Husk's hands over the bar top as he told her something, a look of deep concern etched into her features. He watched her pick Nifty up by the waist so the little demon could dust the tops of the bookshelves. He watched her, he waited, he would always be waiting because nothing could ever happen. Nothing would ever happen, he wouldn't allow it and goddamnit it wasnât love.
It was also impossible, Alastor reminded himself. He had left that part of himself when he had died, it hadn't made the journey with him. The most favored fantasy of his own humanity, or what was left of it. The little spark of the person he had been that glowed softly from the center of his chest. Alastor had tried to douse it, tried to kill it, tried to rip it from himself but all he'd ever ended up with was bloody hands and torn flesh and the light pulsed on in its eternal hunger, its eternal hope, its eternal harm.
And then it was too late. Then, she really was gone, double dead or however anyone wanted to call it. Adam dropped her lifeless corpse to the ground and Alastor's world crashed in around him because no matter how many times he had said it wasn't, no matter how he had avoided her, no matter what he had done it had been love, or the beginnings of it at least. The closest thing to it he'd ever really felt. His hand tightened around the staff of his microphone. Alastor bared his teeth, he saw red.
"What have you done?"
Adam turned to him, grinning. Y/n deserved a viking funeral, to be surrounded by flowers and sent off in a burning boat. She deserved a Greek burial, reduced to ashes and buried with all the proper rites that made sure she would make it to the afterlife. She deserved, she was owed, he was angry.
"What." Adam laughed, "Was she your little bitch?"
Alastor didn't think he had any room left inside him for the fury, but found his rage redoubled at Adam's words.
"What did you just call her?"
"Your little bitch." Adam smirked, "She was a cute one, shame you all are gonna have to burn. Woulda kept her for myself."
Adam looked down, nudging Y/n's lifeless corpse with the toe of his shoe. Alastor attacked. There was no thought, no order, no grace, there was only the anger. Only now that it was too late, was he at last able to let loose, be less than perfect, exist in an unintentional manner. Or was it that this was the true meaning of intention -- reckless abandon? Y/n probably would have thought that. It didn't matter. It didn't matter what she would have thought, what any of them did think. It was too late. There was no more time and Alastor had come to terms with his own frailty a second past the buzzer. He would never forgive himself.
"You will pay for what you have done. You will die for what you have done."
Because it had been love, all along and Alastor, who had thought himself above it all, had been in that first group. He had been scared, not of what love could do but of what Y/n would, of what she had already done to him. Now it was too late and he would never get another chance.
"You will fucking die!"

â falling behind - k.th
synopsis - where everyone around you falls in love but you.
-> taehyun x reader
-> strangers to potential lovers, college au!
-> warnings! talks about the inability to fall inlove, yn zones out a lot, mentions of almost dying and being suicidal, alcohol, slowburn
-> note! happy tyun day!! love this man so much :' + laufey is so theraputic, i love her songs sm
love, a complex and profound emotion, an emotion experienced by many at least once in their lifetime. many may find solace in the warmth of shared gazes and the gentleness of intertwined fingers. love is like a canvas painted with the hues of understanding and compassion, where every stroke tells a story of shared excitement, or even bitter arguements. however, not everything is perfect, love can be exhausting and scary. while people yearn for the feeling of affection, some individuals decide to isolate themselves and prevent hurting themselves in the future, and completely destroy the meaning of love.
you sighed at the thought of being attracted to someone romantically, as you listened to your friends' sappy love stories about their partners, you couldn't help but feel a tinge of jealousy in your heart. when someone confesses their feelings to you, you can't help but feel disgusted, why can't you feel any romantic feelings towards anyone, like a normal human being? were you a robot? why can everyone around you fall for each other but you? your best friends have been in and out of relationships for god knows how many times, but you could only watch that happen. while everyone was falling inlove, you were falling behind.
"the right one will come to you, maybe by then, you'll feel your heart racing faster." ningning reassured you. but how? how would you know how love would feel like? you looked down, feeling devastated about the thought that you may never get married in the future. "don't worry yn! they'll come to you, it may not be in college, but maybe when you start working? who knows, or maybe they're here right now?" giselle exclaimed, trying to be more positive after seeing your gloomy state.
"i've never fallen in love with anyone before, how am i supposed to know how that feels." you groaned, stirring your coffee even though the milk has already been mixed in. "don't worry! the both of us can help you." you looked up from your sad coffee, just to see your friends stare at you with hopeful looks, you couldn't help but chuckle at them.
"fine." you couldn't believe you agreed to something like that, how were you going to find someone to try, or force yourself to fall inlove with. you were an introvert, you barely knew anyone that was in your college, all you did was follow your friend group around campus and laugh along with their jokes. as you left the cafe, walking in the opposite direction of your friends, you couldn't help but wonder how it was like for you to openly like someone, hold hands, or even kiss. the thought made you cringe, hell no, you can't imagine yourself doing that. however, the sound of finally having a shoulder to cry on, and calling someone yours, made you smile to yourself, that must be nice.
you were completely lost in your own world, not even noticing the traffic light infront of you, it was still red. cars quickly zooming past before the green man appears, you were clueless enough to almost step foot onto the busy street, until someone yanked you away, making you shriek in fear. you came back to your senses, finally realising that you were infront of a traffic light, you looked over your shoulder to notice the man holding you back from almost killing yourself. he was quite attractive, despite his outfit being a graphic tee with some sweatpants on, he had a nice face with big eyes.
"are you blind, or suicidal? why would you walk onto a road with oncoming vehicles." his tone was harsh, you could feel him belittling you. "i was lost in my thoughts, sorry.." you spoke barely in a whisper, slightly embarrassed that a stranger had to save you from a tragedy. he finally let go of your bag, walking away into the distant, you stared at his disappearing figure, wondering why he looked so familiar.
ᶻ đ đ°
"please yn, let's watch the football finals tonight. don't you wanna support our school." giselle whined, hugging onto your arm. "fine.." you grumbled, you were forced into this, you wanted to go home earlier today after your lecture and rest, but the universe has planned a different fate for you.
"yes! then you're gonna follow us to the after party too." your head turned towards ningning so fast, your head could fly off. "i didn't agree to that." you almost shouted, "nuh uh, you need to socialise, especially since you're in college." ningning gave you a smug look before walking off towards her classroom. you rubbed your head in annoyance, you couldn't believe that you were forced into this, but you were slightly excited, maybe you could find the someone you've been longing for. you quickly shook your head, why would you be thinking about stuff like that now. what are the chances that you would meet your future partner.
"i hate this so much." you mumbled to yourself, taking a seat near the back of the lecture theatre, trying to complete the last few questions of the homework assigned. you hoped that the day would go by faster, so that you could be in the comfort of your own home. yet again, you were occupied by your own thoughts, zoning in and out of lessons, only to be interrupted by the sudden movement at the front of the lecture hall.
"kang taehyun, how many times have you been late to class this month alone." the lecturer complained, taehyun apologised for his tardiness, completely ignoring the lecturers fussing as he made his way to the back of the class, where the only seat available was the one beside you. you stared at his face, trying to make out who he was, he felt familiar.
"oh it's you." he suddenly said, you looked at him with a puzzled expression on your face. that was the guy who saved you yesterday, you blushed at the sudden memory. how embarrassing.. "is this class the reason why you wanted to walk onto oncoming traffic? if it was, i understand." taehyun joked, taking out his laptop from his bag. you rolled your eyes at him, did he really think that you wanted to kill yourself?
"i already told you last night, i was just in my own world, i didn't notice the road infront of me." you retorted, taehyun chuckled at you, bringing his attention back to what the lecturer was teaching. you couldn't help but sneak glances at taehyun, he had to admit that he was fucking attractive, how have you not noticed him before. heck, you didn't even know that he was in your class to begin with. you quickly snapped yourself out of it, trying to focus in class.
"you really zone out a lot." a voice brought you back to reality, you didn't even realise that class had already ended, which part of lesson did you zone out at? "sorry, i think i'm just tired.." you rubbed your heavy lidded eyes, about to leave your seat.
"i'll send you my lecture notes, you gotta repay me though." taehyun stated, you stared at him in confusion, why was he acting so nicely to you? "what are you staring at me for? do you want to fail?" ouch, he was really straightforward. you gave taehyun your email in order for him to email you his notes. you briefly thanked him, walking out of the lecture theatre as fast as you could. you saw your friend group standing in the distance, probably waiting for you, you jogged up to them, giving them an apology for holding up their time.
"what took you so long?" ningning asked, eyeing you suspiciously.
"i zoned out in class, so i needed to get notes from my tablemate, sorry." you explained yourself. ningning gave you a slow nod before pulling you along with her, "well, let's go hang in your dorm before we head out for the match."
not long after, you've been lazing around with ningning and giselle, talking about basic things like what you did during the day, your classes, and obviously, their current partners. you sighed into the palm of your hand, looking down at your phone, scrolling aimlessly on tiktok, nodding your head occassionally at what they had to say.
"i'm so excited to support him later, hey yn, do you want me to introduce some players on the football team to you? i think there's some that may suit you." giselle suddenly questioned, you flinched at the sudden question, shit, you weren't listening at all up till that point.
"it's fine, i'm not looking for anyone right now." you mumbled out your answer, apparently that upsetted giselle, causing her to pout at your words. "you gotta have a look at them, seeing you all single and lonely hurts me too." she whined into your arm, making you cringe a little. you let out a nervous chuckle, pulling her away from your arm, "i'll try."

this was definitely new to you, the loud screaming, along with the band blasting in the background felt foreign to you. the stadium was packed with students from your school and the opponent's school. the guys were already warming up on the sideline, getting in their stretches as quickly as possible, looking up at the bleachers time to time to spot their friends, family or partners. you looked at the players from the opposing school, you have to say they looked really tough to play against, hopefulky your school would be able to beat them.
now you scanned the players from your school, but to your luck, you accidentally made eye contact with a certain black haired male, kang taehyun? you really didn't know he was apart of your school's football team. you stared at him with widened eyes, shocked to find him there. he caught your gaze, returning the same surprised look you had before slowly waving at you. you looked around you, maybe he was waving at someone else? ah fuck it, you waved back at him, giving him an awkward smile.
"you know taehyun?" ningning teased, bumping your shoulder as if you successfully flirted with someone. you rolled your eyes, "yea, he's in my class. he was the one who gave me notes earlier today." you bluntly replied.
"ooo, he isn't the type who would help someone so easily." giselle smirked, giving you a knowing glance. you glared at her, no. you and taehyun would never be something like that, he was out of your league, and especially if you may not even feel any romantic attraction, you can never be with taehyun.
"that'll never happen." you whispered out, leaning onto the railings infront of you, staring at taehyun as he runs across the field, dribbling the ball with his foot before passing it over to his teammate. yea, he was kinda attractive, but he was off-limits. you hear chanting from your side of the stadium, before it turned to loud screams of delight. they scored, your school scored. you clapped your hands, smiling at the field infront of you. this was fun, something out of your comfort zone, yet so exhilarating.
the match was extremely close, it was currently a tie between your school and the opposing school, the win for your school was dependent on this singular penalty kick. the whistle was finally blowed, signalling for the penalty kick. the tension was high, the stadium was pin-drop silent, eyes fixated on the ball infront of taehyun. everyone was praying for either a good or bad outcome, taehyun took a deep breath in, backing up from the ball slightly, getting a few jogs in before kicking the ball towards the goal.
there was a brief silence before the referee called for the whistle. the game ended, the crowd roared in happiness, screaming their lungs off. the boys on the field jumped onto taehyun, hugging him.
"holy shit, you just helped us win the entire season, you sick bastard." yeonjun yelled, slightly tearing up. taehyun smiled widely at his teammates, if it weren't for them, he wouldn't be able to score that perfect goal at the end.
"they did so well!" ningning slapped you shoulder, along with giselle, making the two of you hiss in pain. "come on now, let's go to the after party before it gets too crowded." ningning exclaimed, hugging the two of you by the shoulder, pulling you guys towards the taxi stand.
ᶻ đ đ°
"let's all get fucking wasted tonight, this win was ours, let's celebrate it." a tall, lean male shouted causing the whole room to burst in screams and cheers. this night was going to be a hectic one.
fuck, but now this was an awkward situation for you. you were sitting at the corner of the room, sipping on the alcoholic beverage you had in hand, snacking on the snacks infront of you. apparently, giselle and ningning left you to take care of their bags while they were off finding their partners, it's even worse that you barely knew anyone here, you only knew their names, but have you spoken to any of them? that was another thing.
you scrolled on your phone, tuning out the obnoxiously loud music that was blasting, you really wanted to leave. you were zoning out from time to time, either that or observing the people around you. pockets of couples dancing with one another, or making out with each other near where the toilets were, gross. you sighed to yourself, this was getting boring, how much longer into the night must you be here? giselle was supposed to introduce some of the football players to you, but guess that was scraped off her agenda.
"zoning off again?" a voice broke your trance, making you jolt in your seat. it was kang taehyun, again.
"you don't seem like the type who would go to parties." taehyun assumed, taking a seat next to you.
"i was forced here." you simply replied, not wanting to socialise with anyone right now. there was awkward silence between the two of you, allowing you to dive into your thoughts again. recently, you realise that you have been seeing taehyun more often than usual, why was that? was it because he saved you from not accidentally killing yourself.
"you wanna leave this place together?"
"excuse me, what?"
"you heard me, wanna ditch this place, i'm getting bored here." taehyun admitted, shrugging his shoulder while waiting for your response. you played around with your fingers, you were getting bored as well, but is it really worth it to leave this place with a guy you barely knew? furthermore, you have two designer bags that were entrusted to you. well fuck it, you're gonna leave with an attractive guy.
"you know what? sure." you stood up, looking down at the male who was staring at you with shocked eyes, taehyun could only chuckle at your actions, pulling you through the crowd. finally, the air didn't feel hot and sticky anymore. the cool breeze hit your skin, making you shiver slightly. you quietly followed behind taehyun to his car, hoping that he wouldn't knock you up in his car or something.
"where are we going?" you asked, your voice was soft, you weren't exactly comfortable with going into a vehicle with a male in it.
"i know a spot, i find you interesting, i wanna get to know you more." taehyun answered, unlocking his car door. you sat in the passenger seat, not knowing what to do. this was so new to you.
"don't feel too uncomfortable, i won't do anything bad." taehyun reassured, reading your exact thoughts. you nodded your head slowly, looking out of the window, taking in the views while softly humming to the music in the background.
"you're not a talker aren't you?" taehyun broke the silence, trying to brighten the tense atmosphere, only to be shot down by your quick, 'yea'. taehyun remained quiet for most of the ride, unable to find topics to talk about.
"what's your view on love?" you suddenly questioned, taehyun was taken aback, he didn't know how to respond to your inquiry. did you always start conversations like that?
"hmm, i think it's quite meaningful?" taehyun was deep in thought, what really was his view on love. he didn't know, it comes and goes for him, he has never experienced real love. "how about you? you must have had a horrible experience to ask me that question." taehyun shot back the question to you. you stared out of the window, unable to form any words, you barely knew this guy, but he seems reliable.
"it sucks."
"what?"
"i think love is hard to understand." you mumbled, feeling slightly embarrassed, now you looked like a loser.
"wow, what made you think that." you pursed your lips, opening up to a new person was harder than you expected. "it's better if i don't tell you.."
"why not? don't trust me enough?" you groaned, rolling your eyes in the process, "i barely know who you are, i'm not telling you my personal feelings." he was getting on your nerves, even though he didn't do anything to harm you.
"yet you're sitting in my car, not knowing where i'm bringing you. wow your priorities are set." taehyun sarcastically said, he was right, you remained silent, unable to argue back. "cat got your tongue?" taehyun tease, you could hear the smirk that was adorned on his face.
"just shut up." you scoffed at him, bringing your attention back to the scenary outside. it was empty, too empty for your liking, at this point you felt like you were getting kidnapped. you recited multiple prayers in your head, you haven't even been able to live your cat lady dreams, but now you may be killed by a football player. how sad is that? you squeezed your eyes shut, hoping that maybe a slight nap would be the solution to whatever was happening currently.
"we're here." you stirred from your nap, looking around to check your surroundings. an empty, secluded field, away from the vibrant and bustling city, away from the chaos happening at the party, this was theraputic. the way the wind blew gently into your face, the pretty view of the ocean, plus the night sky embellished with countless stars, the moon's soft glow adds a touch of silver to the tranquil scene.
"you always come here?" you sat next to taehyun, making yourself comfortable as you watched each wave crash onto the rocks below.
"yea, to relieve stress or when i wanna be alone. feels nice right?" taehyun took a deep breath in, the air felt so much cleaner here compared to the polluted air in the city centre. you nodded your head, humming in response, "so why'd you bring me here?"
"nothing in particular, you're quite interesting i guess." taehyun shrugged, his large brown eyes meeting yours, you felt yourself heat up under his intense gaze, what's this feeling? why does it feel so icky, yet so nice..
"so, about earlier, can you tell me why.. why you think love is so complicated." you let out a nervous chuckle after hearing his words, he's going to make fun of you, definitely. "it's kinda embarrassing." you whispered, rubbing your sweaty palms against your thighs.
"i won't judge." taehyun reassured, his eyes speaking to you that he can be trusted. you sighed, comtemplating on whether you should tell him or not, your head was telling you no, but your heart said otherwise.
"i, i don't think i can ever fall for someone romantically, and even if i did, i don't think i'll be able to commit into a relationship." you admitted, your voice was barely a whisper.
"have you tried it with the right person?" taehyun suggested, his eyes now fixated on the glimmering stars in the sky, you continued to gaze at the ocean, knees proped up to your chin, resting your gead on your knees.
"no."
"then that's the problem i guess." taehyun said non-chalantly. "no, but i've not felt any of those sensations you get when you're in love, like butterflies in your stomach, kicking your feet in bed when they reply you. i want to feel those as well, but it's so hard.. seeing all my friends fall in love is so wholesome and it makes me feel happy for them, but what about me? i'm always falling behind." you complained, plucking the grass beneath. you could feel him staring at you, your eyes darting around the empty field as if you were searching for something. his silence was killing you, you shouldn't have said that, the longer the silence was, the more you felt smaller under his piercing gaze.
"sorryâ"
"what are you sorry for?" you smacked taehyun's shoulder for interrupting your apology, "let me finish, i'm sorry for suddenly ranting to you like that."
"you're apologising for that? you're cute." taehyun joked, laughing at you. your face started to heat up, how humiliating, you should have shut your mouth from the first place, but that wasn't the thing that bothered you, rather the fact that he called you cute. why was it that when it came out of his mouth, you feel flustered?
"you're just protecting yourself from hurting yourself, there's no wrong in that. even if it means you barely experience what love feels like, it's better to build up your walls than to go through a heartbreak." taehyun looked into your eyes, before looking at the ocean again.
"but experiencing love is better than never being able to have a shoulder to cry on, or rely on. i just want to find someone to love too." you groaned, hoping that it'll make him understand where you're coming from. as much as you supported your friends with their love lives, you've always wanted to have what they have, but your heart shuts this emotion out.
"then wanna try with me?" taehyun suddenly blurted out, his eyes gazing into your now widened eyes. is he insane, does he want to get heartbroken this badly?
"you're not gonna want to be with me." you mumbled, rubbing your fingers against one another.
"but this is my own decision, let's try it. you've not met the right person to love yet, maybe i can be the one." his hands on top of yours, as if he was reassuring you that it was fine to try out love with him. your heart skipped a beat, what is this? why are you feeling so giddy? your lips tugged upwards, "alright." you agreed to his proposal, making taehyun smile to himself, his thumb playing with your hand.
"you know i've noticed you for some time, i've always thought that you were quite cute and interesting." taehyun admitted, his cheeks flushing a light hue of pink that was barely visible under the moonlight.
"what." your jaw dropped, here you were thinking that no one was into you.
"crazy right?" you nodded your head.
"let's go now, it's getting late, i'll send you home." taehyun quickly stood up, pulling you up together with him, walking back to his car, this time hand in hand.

Jedi Service Corps
The Legends-fueled propaganda of "bad students get sent to the Agricorp/Services" has always bothered me. First of all, forcing kids into a career not of their choosing isn't the best way to encourage them to perform well.
The Services in general seem to get a bad rap, and TBH it's kind of bizarre to assume that every kid who winds up being taken in by the Jedi wants to grow up to be a cop. LOL!
There is so much untapped potential being ignored, and even within the four pseudo-canon branches there's a lot to explore.
Agriculture. Farmers Without Borders. LOL! It isn't just about growing plants, it's about analyzing trends, understanding ecosystems, geology, climatology, politics, etc. There's mechanical engineering so you know how to fix the machines that do the hardest labor (often illegally, given corporate software locks and so forth). Probably a lot of fiddly stuff with plant genetics, too, given similar issues with seed corporations.
Being Jedi, I'm sure they're also aware of the need to include "ornamental" plants to help with the emotional welfare of hurting/devastated populations.
Education. This field must be fucking wild. Sure, you have your future creche masters and archivists, but I imagine there are those who do public outreach, too, and go to schools to teach kids about what the Jedi do beyond waving laser swords. There's probably also a need for teachers in isolated/rural areas to help with basic things like reading, writing, and maths. Ditto areas devastated by wars and natural disasters, where kids need a safe distraction from trauma. I bet Educorp and Agricorp team up more often than people might think.
There's also the sheer variety of topics. Even something basic like history will have a wide net. Galactic history, region-specific, planetary, etc. And then there's the arts. Music, singing, dance, physical media, holo media, theatre, and so much more. There will be differences between species, understanding what they need to know, how they learn best, and what their aging process is like. Teachers to cover the full range of mortal maturity, from teaching toddlers to old-timers. And don't get me started on teaching "forbidden" topics in repressive communities.
Medical. LOL. Every. Single. Species. And often subtypes between them. So many specialists needed. And again, you probably have a number that specialize in helping in disaster areas. Hello, Educorp, let's help teach these people how to best care for themselves. Maybe Agricorp can help with showing folks how to purify their air and water. There must be SO many diseases, some of which have inoculations and so that don't. And again, figuring ways to smuggle medicine and supplies to those who need it despite the extortionist rates corporations charge. Repairing faulty equipment, finding work-arounds when the parts aren't there. Triage. Using the Force to help heal is all well and good, but sometimes they still have to get hands-on.
Even with non-emergency stuff, I imagine they're still kept busy. The idea of a Jedi "country doctor" settled in some remote area sounds delightful. Communities that get "lost" in the shuffle or otherwise overlooked. Veterinary medicine as a sub-specialty.
Jedi having a special "knack" for determining what's wrong with someone, finding early warning signs before it's too late, etc. Comforting the dying. Comforting the survivors. ALL the mental health stuff and neurodivergence.
Exploration. Jedi Starfleet. LOL! It isn't all about discovering new worlds, though. Sometimes it's rediscovering planets and cultures that have been forgotten. Charting new hyperlane routes and hoping the end doesn't pop you out in the middle of a star.
I betcha you could fold so many things into this one. Botany. Archaeology. Xenoanthropology. Medicine, of course, since new worlds/people means new poisons, venoms, and diseases. New or ancient languages? It'd help to have someone around who could work on translating. Diplomats to help you talk to people. Geologists. Zoologists. A bit of everything.
Sure, there'd be room for solo missions, but I imagine there'd be bigger ships that they'd launch from. A place to come back to so the brains can pore over everything you brought back and see what they can determine from it. And big ships (or any ships really) means pilots, engineers, general crew, logistics, and all those fun things.
Anyway, I can see plenty of room for additional corps, too, but of the ones that get mentioned in Legends there's still a huge playing field.

kills me that everyone is dejected that the katana with the star shaped guard is a lost treasure. meanwhile its quitely sitting in kudo yuusaku's store room cuz his big brother gifted it to him LIKE SDJDJFF!? turning your justice leaning lil bro into an accomplices. the gag potential here is so made for me
shoutout to sonoko who took up haibara's usual information provider role. every scene with her was animated so cutely IM SHOCKED m27 doing excellent job at showing off her cuteness. there is a fun parallel to think about, sonoko was the first person heiji went to to get information on kudo's whereabout, and now heiji is also going to her for information â„ïž heiji-sonoko friendship crumb thank you for the food
this movie really play a lot with the crumbs from kendo school tournament arc. heiji-ran friendship makes me want to cry, ran efficiently karate chopping hijiri to make sure theres no distractions for heikazu đ„șđ ive been convinced on okita's cuteness the past 3 month cuz if the okita fanart boom in my corner of jp twitter but watching it for myself... he really have it bad for heiji LMAO wdym "it's boring if hattori ain't here~" how much did you say this for kaitou kid to catch that its a good trait for an okita disguise. im glad this movie give a good balance of real okita and fake okita, m10 still makes me so sad for having ZERO real hakuba đ„Č kid's dosu e~ is so moeblob
ah i still got so many word vomit on this movie it seems to be never ending ïżœïżœđ
my final review of the movie is this is my no 1 fav conan movie of all time, 2nd place is bride of halloween. i still havent rank anything below that properly. im truly entertained by this movie it got so many characters i care about with a lot of bombastic scenes. as much as i want to say my ultimate fav is m7 and m21, both of them are kinda... slow with all the deduction talk. im here for eye candy after all đ mixing kid's energy is doing wonders for the tone of a heiji movie. heiji's presence is also doing wonders for KID as well cuz gosh!!! KID has never emit this much childlike moe blob energy. heiji and conan being the straight man to kid's prank is the dynamic really help to emphasize his whimsical energy
and the final theme i caught; parallelism where hijiri is willing to do anything to protect his father's legacy only for us to find that its all for naught.... now why does this sound familiar đ€đ€đ€
rewatching the movie tomorrow so ill probably do another ramble on it

Hello! Thank you for the role you play in this fandom, I don't know what we would do without Aziraphale's fic library
Today I wanted to ask if you knew fics where Aziraphale and Crowley are bitter exes who end up realizing later that they haven't stopped loving the other.
Thank you đ
Hi! We have #getting back together and #reunion tags you can check for plenty more fics like this. Here are more to add...
Even Now, I Still Love You by Zakani_Donovan (T)
It had been 6 years since Crowley had last spoken to Aziraphale, and considering their nasty little breakup, he hadn't expected their next conversation to start with them suddenly being neighbors.
Down to the River by CemeteryAngel725 (E)
Twenty-five years ago, Tony Crowley walked out of Aziâs life and broke both of their hearts. Since then, Azi has been living in suspended animation, working in the army/navy surplus booth he inherited from his dad and writing horror novels. Now Tony is back from the city, flush with success and wanting to catch up with Azi. Should Azi risk his heart and try to reclaim what theyâve lost? Or is it too late to start over?
Reason Enough by ffonippop (E)
Crowley and Aziraphaleâs entire relationship spanned just a little under eleven months. If dissected, the entire affair can be categorized very neatly into three parts: a rocky beginning, a rocky middle, and a rocky end. It devastates Crowley, how something that was so promising and held so much potential could end in such a shitstorm. Diminished to nothing but a hungover, sad, and lonely stain on his couch, Crowley is left to wonder if it was always going to end this wayâ or if itâs ended yet at all.
Like a Martyr, Not Enough (The Decoy Bride) by vines_and_vellichor (M)
Author Aziraphale Eastlowe had been a dutiful son for the entirety of his life⊠mostly. After a bout of teenage rebellion, he learnt that disobedience only brings misery and heartbreak to those he cares about; itâs better for everyone to toe the line and make the most out of the plan that has been laid out for you by your family and God. When a courtship with the famous Christian singer Gabriella Archer presented an opportunity to exit the dog-eat-dog world of city life, the last thing he expected was an existence plagued by writerâs block and a wedding so enticing to the British press that the privilege of a private ceremony was tantamount to successfully teaching a duck to play the accordion. In desperation, they turn to Taddesfild, a remote island in the Outer Hebrides, to marry. Things go south when a convoluted plan by Gabriellaâs agents culminates in hiring local resident Anthony J Crowley as a decoy bride to put the paparazzi off the scent. The very person Aziraphale distinctly remembered dumping nineteen years ago. The situation is less than ideal: his fiancee is missing, the island is infested with bloodthirsty photographers and he has just accidentally gotten married to his ex.
Borrowed Words by sunrisesinthesuburbs (M)
Anthony J. Crowley, best selling author, has writer's block. He could blame the Accident, but deep down he knows his block started way before. He hasn't written anything in too long, if we choose to ignore the dozens of unsent letters addressed to the angel he lost two decades ago, when he moved to New York City. When his best (and only) friend convinces him to take a little vacation in a small town in Connecticut, he expects peace and quiet. He doesn't expect to see the smile that still haunts his dreams again. Apparently, small towns are full of surprises, and how late is too late? The world stops spinning on its axis or, at the very least, Crowley stops breathing. This is absolutely impossible. He forces himself to swallow, to take a deep breath, as he doesnât want to scare this girl off. Muriel, who is still smiling, all bright and wide and just like- Oh, God. âA bookshop, you said?â He chokes out. This is impossible, and heâs being ridiculous. He is in London, this is just a sick coincidence and his stupid brain playing stupid games. âYes, you can see it if you turn around.â Crowley doesnât move. âItâs called A. Z. Fell Books.â Now, the world definitely stops spinning.
Sinking Ships by AppleSeeds (E)
The world is practically on fire and it feels like nobody's doing anything about it, but Crowley's outlook brightens considerably when a new member arrives at his local climate action committee. Crowley is immediately smitten, and is thrilled when he and Aziraphale become fast friends, although he can't help but hope they might one day become something more. When all of his wishes come true, Crowley starts to feel like life couldn't possibly get any better. He can picture exactly what his future is going to look like, until something happens that feels like a powerful bolt of lightning has struck and split Crowley's life right down the middle, with everything before that moment on one side, and everything that is to come - scorched, lifeless and devastated - on the other. With the help of a counsellor, Crowley begins the difficult journey of picking up the pieces and working through what's happened. When Aziraphale unexpectedly comes back into his life, Crowley finally has the chance to get some answers, revealing that the truth is very different from what he was led to believe. Now he just needs to figure out whether that changes anything.

Well, I guess I make big posts on Tumblr now about hurricanes because WHAT THE FUCK.
So, I live in the Tampa Bay Area, specifically in Pinellas County, which is the most densely populated county in the state of Florida. We haven't had a direct hit from a hurricane in over 100 years. And despite that, Helene completely devastated our county with 5 to 8 feet of storm surge.
I have friends and coworkers living in hotels and other people's homes who have lost everything. Our barrier islands reek with raw sewage and dead marine life. As I speak, they are still trying to remove the FEET of toxic sand on the barrier islands that the storm surge pushed inland. There were 12 deaths in my county from that storm surge. It's the worst hurricane damage our area has ever received in the modern era. And that was from a storm that stayed 100 miles offshore.
Hurricane Milton is currently heading our way. Right now, models are showing a potential landfall in the Tampa Bay Area as a cat 3, maybe 4, hurricane. We're still struggling to recover from Helene, and now we're right back in the crosshairs. My point here is that things can change very quickly. If you live on the west coast of Florida, please prepare and please stay weather aware.
If evacuations are called in your area, please spread the word to your neighbors, especially if they are elderly, have disabilities, live in poverty, or have other evacuation challenges. CHECK ON YOUR NEIGHBORS. I cannot stress this enough. If you live near vulnerable people, check on them and talk to them about their plans if evacuations are called. Check with your county website to see what services are available for evacuation and shelters.
Stay safe, fellow west coast Florida friends. <3

Hi! Could you (if it's not a problem ofc) write something about Sera? My girl is underrated. T^T. Since it's getting close to Valentines, maybe some romantic headcanons? (Fluff/NSFW)?
Have a great day <3
A/N: I am so positively upset, once again my computer shut down, my work was lost, and i was scared i had lost the ask. Luckily, for this prompt I didn't get very far, and better still, the ask was surprisingly save. Sera asks are some of the ones I'm looking forward to the most with the angel asks, she has a LOT of potential as a character! But anywho, before i ramble on too much, enjoy!
Character: Sera
Type: Headcanons (Sera x reader, Fluff, NSFW)
Sera confides in you with everything. Including the extermination. You had known for several years by the time that Charlie made her way up to heaven to pitch the hotel. You had been there for her after, as well. You were a constant source of comfort for her, and she is constantly reminding you of this, promising that she will continue to do the same for you as well.
Though she may be prim and proper, a true head of the Seraphim, her devotion to you runs as deep as her devotion to heaven. But know this, she too is terrified of the repercussions of defying heaven and its rules. Rules that even still, she would be more than willing to bend, perhaps even break for you.
That being said, she would still do whatever it takes to keep the both of you up in heaven. Just as she doesn't wish to see Emily fall from grace, she would be devastated should it happen to you.
When you kiss her, fully expect her wings to flutter. She is delighted by any contact with her beloved. I do think she would take any teasing for it in stride. She would apologize, quite bashfully, to be honest, saying that they seem to have a mind of their own sometimes. As your relationship progresses, however, she would even turn it back on you, using the opportunity to flirt.
It doesn't matter if there is a special occasion, but Sera will use any excuse to dote on you. Even if it's just a 'you were on my mind' sort of deal. She wants you to feel appreciated because she certainly does appreciate you.
NSFW under the cut
Sex among angels isn't necessarily taboo, but it is seen an act of love, an act of commitment. An act of devotion to one's partner. Angels, or rather heaven-born angels, such as seraphim, often times mate for life. Sure, they may have the occasional fling, but more often than not, heaven-borns will
That being said, intimacy with Sera is exactly that. Intimate, she wants to keep you close to her, wants you to feel the love she holds for you just as badly as she wants to feel your love for her.
It's not exactly a secret, but angel wings are delicate, fragile, and sensitive. This can most definitely be used to your advantage, or it could be your undoing, as you're not exempt. Its also considered an extremely intimate act amongst angles, so it requires a LOT of trust. Sometimes, Sera will even specifically ask you to help preen her wings, an activity that will more than likely lead to the two of you entangled

Shang Tsung x Reader: A Chance To Prove Yourself
~~~~~~~~~~~~ The leaves all swooshed on the tree they were bound to in reaction to the wind. The same tree you sat under, sulking as you usually did. A decent distance away from the Wu Shi Academy you used to be devoted. Now it made you sick in a way. No matter how hard you try to convince yourself, you pointed blame at the Thunder God that shut you down.
You remember all too well the secondhand embarrassment and devastation when Raiden bluntly turned you down from joining Earthrealm's champions. Right in front of your best friends, Kung Lao and Liu Kang. The demigod claimed you weren't skillful enough and your ego would get you killed in battle. Yet somehow Lao still gets to go?! The equally arrogant bastard was also confused on that part.
"Maybe Lord Raiden just wants to protect you." You recalled Liu Kang reasoning for his father figure. Bullshit. You may have started late but you train just as hard.
Ever since that situation happened, you became distant with those two. You didn't hold any resent for them, hopefully, but being around them after that made you feel negative. They're good friends and you didn't want to bring the mood down.
Dreading on about everything you were unaware of someone creeping up behind the tree.
"...And she sits alone, wondering if she will ever be good enough. Or perhaps wallowing in self-pity, believing all of them are wrong and don't deserve her strength."
You turned to whoever it was narrating you with a supercilious tone. Opening your mouth with the intent to tell them to shut the hell up, only a gasp would come out when that specific voice belonged to Shang Tsung. You knew Liu defeated him before, but it was definitely not so simple You hopped up ready for a fight with the old, evil coot.
He raises a steady hand as if he isn't looking for a fight. "Oh, so đșđ°đ¶'đłđŠ going to defeat me? Do you think you'll win?" Shang asks with continuing patronization.
"No." You lost your battle stance and stood there normally, feeling stupid to even think that. Your ego couldn't be more destroyed so it's easy to be put in your place.
"Good girl. Smart." Shang chuckles and slowly walks to you. You only kept your head down. Carefully with his clawed finger guard, he tilts your chin up. "Poor Y/n. You have so much potential. Truly a loss for Earthrealm that Raiden doesn't let you fight beside him- or your close allies."
"What would you know?" You sneered, eyes following him as he walked behind but you didn't dare move your head even slightly.
"Quite a lot, actually. From the very moment he put you down, up to your friends deserting you."
"Deserting me?" Confused, you faced him and immediately corrected him. "Liu and Lao never deserted me. I just... hang out with them less. Purposely."
The old villain narrowed his maroon eyes at your rebuttal. "And have they ever asked you why? Check on you like they're supposed to? Have they ever even stood up to the foolish demigod and defended your progress?"
Being completely gagged, you couldn't defend that. The answer to those questions were all the same. "...No."
"You call them friends?" Shang shakes his head. "How does that make you feel? Don't you want to prove yourself? Show off truly what you're capable of?"
"Of course, I do!" You snap- not out of anger- but with newfound motivation. "But I train a lot every day. What more can I do?"
He pretends to think on it, you hardly notice. "I could offer my own mentoring to you, if you wish. Help you be advanced than whatever cheap combat monks do." Plotting with his back turned from you, his eyes gleamed at an extra part of the offer. Something you'd likely be interested in. "Say, do you have your own arcana?"
"I don't actually. Why?" As expected, you became more interested. You couldn't shoot fireballs or teleport annoyingly around the perimeter. But what you could do is deny the snake's offer and be a boring rejected fighter. Nope. "Could you get me one?"
"Easily." He nods, then extends his hand. "Is it a deal?"
Almost taking his hand, you retracted a bit. "Wait, what would you be getting out of it? I don't want to be accused of treason or you make me hurt them. They're not perfect but-"
"Oh dear, I would never make you hurt them. I'm trying to help you do the opposite actually. How lovely it would be to make them proud by being just as- pardon me- more powerful than them combine! And you wouldn't get in trouble unless you go chatting which I trust you wouldn't."
It all seems easy and promising. "Deal!" You smile and shook his hand, suddenly getting the feel of something awful overwhelm you. But you pushed it off thinking it was just excitement.
"Now why don't we return to my palace and discuss giving you magic." Shang begins walking away and you were quick to follow your new mentor.
"How long will that take? Won't Liu Kang or Kung Lao notice I'm missing?"
"You think so?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another Love // Stsg x fem!reader, s. gojo x fem!reader
a/n: yeah this one hurted...listen to these songs for maximum crying potential!
cw: death, injury, cursing, angst, comfort.
wc: 5k
The look on his face was unforgettable. Yaga-Sensei informs his remaining students of Suguruâs crimes, and Satoru is shattered. Youâd both picked up on his recent changes, the once warm and kind man suddenly icyâeven to you two, his most precious friends. Your mouth hung in shock. You thought he was upset, Satoru and him had been bickering more than normal. You had no clue he was even capable of such a horrible thing. He killed one hundred and twelve people. He was formally expelled from Tech, all of which was relayed to you through Masamichi as if Suguru was some distant memory, like he wasnât a major player in your life. In Satoruâs. You wouldnât know how to be, if heâs really gone, and the vast emptiness in Satoruâs eyes tells you that he feels the same.Â
It felt like someone else sat in your head, rewatching these memories. It didnât feel like it was you looking into the glossy blues of Satoru Gojo, the other part of your soul. He was feeling fractured too, but all your mind could contemplate was your worry for the man you grieved. He was alive, now an enemy of the jujutsu world, and all alone. How could he betray you like this? Leave you two behind? Why werenât you enough to fix it, even if he was mad at Satoru? Didnât he care for you at all?
Gojo stared at you, the last piece of himself he had left. He could tell you were about to snap, to start panicking and shaking and he would have to keep you calm. Suguruâs made such a mess, he bites down on his bottom lip to keep from crying as he reaches out for you, and heâs horrified. He realizes he doesnât know how to comfort you. He realizes that was always Suguruâs job, to say the magic words and ease your worries as he held you in his broad arms. Satoru wasâŠthe comedic relief, at best. He didnât know what to say, shaky hands he didnât even recognize extending for you. To his relief, you fall into his hold without him having to say anything. He hates himself for not being more emotional. He wishes he could be vulnerable like Geto, he wishes he could open himself up and tell you that heâll take care of you. He wants to say that you two still have each other, and that Suguru will come back to you two someday. But the words canât fall from his open mouth, the tears in his own eyes haunting his brain and corrupting every memory of his best friend.Â
He loves him, he loves him the same way you do, the same way he loves you, and what he thought was the same way Suguru loved you both. He feels lost already, and itâs pathetic. He canât be a leader, he canât support you and make it better because heâs never even done that for himself. Suguru was the backbone, and heâs never felt so worthless. He wants to hate him, for doing such an awful thing, for making you feel so bad, for breaking your hearts. But he knows he canât. He knows as hard as he tries, heâll cling on to the image of the happy man with his arms around you both, the man who used to carry you on his shoulders and tickle you until you gasped for air.Â
But now, you struggle to breathe in a much more devastating way. Your chest heaves, the only thing you can feel is Satoruâs rigid body supporting the weight of your own, and what feels like the weight of the world crushing your body from the inside.Â
Until you hear the familiar hiss of a dragon. You gasp, sitting upright and holding on to Satoruâs shoulders to get a look of the summon outside. Surely he wasnât here, not after what heâd done, but why did your heart pound at the chance to see him one last time?
âItâs him.â You say, awestruck as you scramble to your feet. You run to the courtyard, trembling. Gojo feels similar, curious to hear Suguru out. You stumble out from the shadows of the building, looking up at Suguru sitting on the back of his favorite dragon manipulation.Â
âSuguruâŠâ You pant, and despite sprinting here, you knew it was because of the situation at hand. He smiles at you, and for one split second itâs like nothingâs changed at all. His eyes are still warm when they look at his friends, his expression still calm and amused.Â
âY/N,â He hums, the way your name rolls off his tongue so easily nearly fools you into smiling too. âSatoru.â He hums the same easy way, making the man close his eyes to imagine different circumstances where he could enjoy the sing-song nature of his voice.Â
âWhat have you done..?â You ask, shaking your head in disbelief. He rolls his eyes, though it seems itâs in annoyance rather than anger.Â
âAh. Yaga-sensei is quick.â His gaze flickers to his other friend, wondering what he was thinking. You seemed to beg for an excuse, and he wanted so badly to convince his loved ones to his cause. âI had no choice.âÂ
âBullshit.â Satoru spat in disbelief, eyes wide to reflect this. âYou had to kill an entire village?â
Your breath catches in your throat again. You donât want them to fight, itâs the last thing in the world you can stomach, the love you have for them is so overwhelming sometimes you put aside your own best interests to work towards theirs. âPlease, Suguru, explain!â
He sees your clenched fists and teary eyes. Suguru knows your emotional cues better than anyone, and he knows how to use this to his advantage too. âY/N, my sweet girlâŠif you would have been there, I know you would have done the same.â He starts, appealing to your empathy.Â
Satoru narrows his eyes, hating the insinuation that you could be just as bad as the man staring down at you both. Heâs devastated, the man he sees is a shell of who he used to know. His Suguru has died, he doesnât recognize this version of him. Heâs at a loss. Suguru beckons you closer, and your feet drag toward him, standing at the base of his dragon, he can touch you if he wants. He smiles at your trust, and Satoru stares at you with fear. He knows what comes next.
âThey had two poor little girls locked up, starving and beaten..just because theyâre sorcerers.â He tells you, knowing he had no chance of convincing Satoru to join him. Satoru was too stubborn, his will too strong. The way the man he used to love stared up at him was foreign. He didnât understand the emotion brewing in his eyes. But you, you still looked at him with hope. With that, he could win you over. He could keep one of his soulmates, and without you, the other would be broken beyond repair. Suguru could only hope to keep Satoru away that way, if he struggled with the loss of both of you, he may fail to get in his way later. If your life was at stake, Satoru would always be cautious, so even if you came to see Geto for the monster heâs becoming, he could leverage your possession against his most dangerous enemy.Â
âI actually came because I was hoping you would help me look after them. I have no idea how to raise two children, youâreâŠyouâre the best woman for the job and I think we could show them a healthy love.â Suguru sweetly says, and in his heart of hearts he wants this to be true. He wants you to blindly follow him and comply so he can keep his love for you high. He needs you to. Satoruâs heart pounds, drowning out whatâs being said.Â
âYouââ Your brows shoot up in surprise as he takes out his phone to show you a couple pictures he had taken of the young girls. They were adorable, and clearly scared. Your heart warmed at the idea of him saving them. It was enough for you to see the good left in his heart, and to believe that with your help, you could bring him back to the right path. âHow old are they?âÂ
Suguru smiles. His obsidian gaze flickers over to the paralyzed superhuman Satoru Gojo, his lips parted in protest but no words coming out of his mouth. He reaches for you, so Suguru brings you closer and sits you in front of him. You gasp at the change, but youâre devastated at the closer look of the two, their faces bruised and beaten. Anger licks up your body and Suguru grins in satisfaction again. âIâm not sure, I think five or six. Yes, they were hurt badly. I thinkâŠI think they could use a mother. Help me with them, I promise youâll be safe with me.âÂ
Satoru makes a choked sob, shaking his head defiantly. âNo, Y/N, no, stop this right now! Get down from there!â He demands, stomping over to the side of the summon you sat atop.Â
âSatoru..â You beg, hoping he could see the reasoning in your eyes. âPlease. I can help him.â You insist, smiling warmly at him. You were too good for them both. How could they steal your glow? Satoru shakes his head. He knows you canât see it, youâre too kind to see, but Suguru is unsaveable.Â
It devastates him to say it, to come to that realization himself makes him give up on happiness just a bit. But he still has you, he has to have you. You canât do this too, even if youâre trying to be a savior. He can see the nobility on your face, youâre determined to fix the relationship between the three of you. You know this is a way to avoid conflict, and you could always be in Suguruâs ear to come back home and make things right.Â
Suguru grins wickedly behind you. Youâre so sweet and full of joy and hope. You believed in your ability to reconcile them all, and Suguru thought it would be interesting to see you try.Â
âHe canât Y/N! Please, donât you do this to me too! Get the fuck down!â Satoru finds himself begging, his voice thick and cracking with the tears he knew would fall when you denied him. âPlease.â He closed his eyes now, knowing it would be easier if he didnât watch.Â
âSheâs coming with me, sorry Satoru.â Suguru hums, decidedly not sorry at all. âIâm sorry it had to end this way.â He adds, and perhaps he means that much.
âI love you, Satoru. Iâll be back soon.â Your voice tells him youâre smiling warmly, and he forces his eyes open to see it. The sun shines on you two like youâre angels, even though youâre breaking his heart. Your innocence, Suguruâs careful manipulation, heâs devastated.Â
âI..â He tries to admit the same, having never brought himself to it before. He knows this could be the last time, but he has to believe that Suguru loves you as much as he does, and wouldnât betray that bond since you joined him. He gives himself this gift of hope, knowing he had to see you again. âY/N, I lââÂ
Geto doesnât give him the chance, taking off with the dragon, his arms draped around your waist. Satoru thought he was shattered before. He didnât even know what to think of himself anymore. Suguru and you were his measure of love and empathy, morals and happiness. He couldnât protect those that he loved most, what was the use of being The Strongest if you canât save who you want to save?Â
Youâwith all the hope and determination in the world, it broke him to know that Suguru counted on that. He would use you, and suck all that beauty from your soul. His soul was missing, split in two on dragon back somewhere far from him. He loved you both so fiercely, and where did that get him? On his knees in the courtyard, staring down at the cement ground beneath him wondering what he could have done differently to have you both by his side.Â
He would never love someone the way he loved the two of you.Â
The only form of love he experienced was for the boy he saved from the Zenâin clan, and he hardly filled the need of partners. He was a snarky shit of a kid, though Satoru expected nothing less after dealing with his father a few years back.Â
He thought about the two of you every day, hoping that you were safe and staying out of Suguruâs trouble. Months turned into years, and his six year old adopted boy became a big strapping 8th grader. Every trace of Suguru came with a trace of you, though your energy was weaker and weaker on him every time. Satoru didnât know what to make of that. Has he been hurting you? Were you breaking away?Â
The traces of your cursed energy grew so weak he could barely sense you on him whenever he found Suguru in the alley that day. They reflected on simpler times, when all three of you were happier people. He admitted that he had been growing unkind to you, but never physically hurt you ever. He did value your help with the girls. He apologized. He wished he could have it back. He confessed his love for the man about to end his suffering, and begged him to find you and pass the message along too.Â
âPlease, tell her Iâm sorry. She only ever wanted to save me. Tell her I love her, too.â He croaked with a sad smile, looking up at his former friend with a mixture of despair, surprise, and adoration. He didnât think he deserved to be afforded such kindness. But Satoru was always brighter than him, so of course he would smile and laugh with him in the end.Â
âI will.â He said, smiling sadly. It tore him apart to see Suguru like this. He was in pain, but he was regretful. He wanted a redo. Satoru wishes more than anything that he could give it to him. But he canât. He can only detail the flowing length of Suguruâs hairâhe sure has let it grow long. He wonders if you like to run your fingers through it. He can only remember the familiar warmth that returns to his black eyes, cherishing that sweet hum of his name.Â
When he walks away from the alley that day, he knows heâs ended a piece of himself forever. He can only hope the last remaining piece can navigate her way back to him. Knowing you, youâre too prideful. You probably think that he doesnât want to see you, or that heâs angry. He was, of course, at first. He was heartbroken and hated Suguru for taking you, too. He was angry at you for prioritizing Suguru over him. Couldnât you tell that he needed you too?Â
But he forgave you long ago. He remembered your sweet face swearing to return, your only goal was to reunite everyone. While noble, he had to admit it was stupidâno, naive. You saw the best in Suguru even at his worst, and in a way Satoru is happy you were by his side in his last few years.Â
Once again, youâre on the forefront of his mind, not to say you ever left his present thoughts. He had just gotten better over the years at compartmentalizing for his own sanity. He had been able to focus on caring for Megumi and even a few other students he had grown to care a lot for. But now he worries about you more than ever.Â
You were spending your time chasing down Kenjaku, trying to figure out a way to retrieve Suguru from inside. It never worked well, all your studying at the library and other underground circuits yielded little results. You knew Mahito was suspicious of you to begin with, and even more so now that Kenjaku had revealed your relationship with both Suguru and Satoru. He was concerned about your loyalty, especially seeing that Suguru wasnât your Suguru anymore. He was gone. All you could cause for them at this point was trouble.Â
Except they could use you as a message. The veil they set for you was clever, repressing your cursed energy to a minimum. You didnât stand a fighting chance. They planned this perfectly, beating you to an absolute pulp. Mahito split your face in several spots, and your ribs absorbed many blows. You wonder if any of them broke, your mind a scrambled mess of thoughts and feelingsâwhite hot pain interrupted your cries. Kenjaku-Suguru held you up to be his curse-counterpartâs punching bag. You wonder why they donât kill you, they fully could with such a clever trap as this laid. You could feel the rain start to pour, their veil lifted. Youâre so out of it by now that it hardly mattered, eye and lips swollen and bleeding, body aching just with breath. You continued to wonder why, why would they do such a thing for show? That didnât make sense.Not until you felt his energy prickle at the back of your neck. You looked around wildly for him, but he still isn't visible. Maybe he was just now approaching, you were always sensitive to his energy footprint after all. The curses sense him too, dumping you on the ground in a pile of bloody flesh and broken bones.Â
For a minute, you think you may just give up and die right there. Everything hurts, deeper than the physical. You felt like a stupid girl, placing your hope in Suguru and believing yourself capable of bringing him back. Even Satoru knew that wasnât possible. But you, relentless you, stuck to your guns even after Suguru was killed. You were determined to do it, to retrieve him and find Satoru and make everything better. Maybe that blind optimism was easier than this alternative, crying in the pouring rain, abused body begging for relief. Your heart and conscience is heavy with the realization that you had made the wrong choice. That there was nothing you could do to bring Suguru back to the light. You want to cry, but you know it will hurt too bad to shake with your anger and disappointment in yourself.Â
âIâll get him back for this, donât worry.â His voice was stern, sure of itself, and it paralyzed you. It had only deepened slightly since the last time you heard it, but it was still familiar to you somehow. You felt him crouch down and pick you up, and suddenly the heavy raindrops werenât dropping on you anymore. You hiss at the pressure of his arms cradling you to his chest, looking up at him as if you needed to confirm your suspicions.Â
Satoru frowned softly, sad and stormy eyes surveying all your injuries. You nod, averting your gaze. He knew you would be reserved when he found you again, but it hurt him to see you recoil from his touch. He blamed the damages you endured, but he still fought unimaginable rage from finding you this way. Another part of him was relieved, because now that you were here in his arms, you would never be hurt again.Â
âHey you.â He said with a soft chuckle, pressing his lips to the top of your head to get your attention. âI miss you all this time and now you wanna play hard to get?â He teases, heart panging at the guilt on your face when you oblige and really look at him for the first time. His breath catches in his throat, you were still captivating, even with a broken nose and swollen eyes and numerous other cuts. Based on your energy alone he could tell you were still you. Where Suguru had changed in every way, you had just acclimated enough to get along, but you were still the girl he fell for in high school, he just knew it. He had to fight collapsing into tears just from having you back. He knew you needed these wounds cleaned up and a good shower, and he surely would never let you go again.Â
So he did the sensible thing and teleported to his place, gently sitting down on the couch with you still cradled like a baby. You were conflicted. Of course you were relieved that he was the one that found you, but goodness if you didnât hate yourself. You werenât ready to be confronted with all these regrets and the nasty rage building in your chest.Â
âSatoru..â Your broken voice calls up to him, croaking and coated with emotion. What was there to say? How could you possibly communicate all of this sourness in your soul? How could you ever hope to earn his trust, his love, again? You open your mouth to begin with a simple Iâm sorry, but he pushes some hair out of your face, gentle hands carefully avoiding your cuts.Â
âI know.â He smiles softly, sliding out from underneath you to grab some clothes from his room. You sit, simmering in the anxiety and nerves you have to face him nearly ten years after abandoning him for the third member of your trio. He returns with a t-shirt of his and a pair of boxers that youâll have to use as shorts and underwear, and a towel. âYou donât have to grovel. Letâs get you cleaned up.âÂ
He had to put a smile on his face by force. He had to be strong for you, that was the only way to fully get you back. You had to trust him, and as much as he wanted to storm out and find that curse, he knows you need him. Heâs wondered if this moment would ever come to pass, as he turns the shower on and watches you pathetically try to strip yourself he sighs. Youâre home. Heâll do whatever he has to do to make you come out of your shell. Heâll buff out all the cracks Suguru left in you both, and heâll fix everything. He knows you feel guilty, but he knows you love him too. You were the one who said so all those years ago.Â
âNeed some help?â He asks, warm hands slipping under your shirt to help slide it off. You looked at him with that same pained look youâve displayed the entire time, and it breaks his heart. He just wants your eyes to shine again, he knows that one day he can restore your brightness. Your chin wobbles, and he knows youâre about to cry. He reaches out, cradling your face. âDonât cry. Itâs okay, Iâm just happy youâre back.âÂ
âThatâs what makes it so hard.â You whisper, your hands closing around his wrists. âYou should hate me for what I put you through.â You say, shaking your head as he continues to peel your matted clothes off, revealing more blossoming bruises and clotted cuts. He hissed at the sight, clicking his tongue as he left your side. He just went to turn the water on, but you watched him like your sentence was going to change his mind.Â
âYou did what you thought was right.â He defends your intentions, testing the temperature with his hand before motioning you over. You walked on shaky legs, but he held his hands out to catch you if you started to fall. He sighs, peeling his own clothes off and discarding them. He knew you wouldnât be able to shower like this, youâre doing your best to stand upright.Â
âBut it was stupid.â You sigh, your head throbbing from all the impact and the intense emotion in the room.Â
âIt was stupid, but you did it because you loved him, and you loved me. Câmon. In you go, sugar.â He defends again, lifting you into the tub. You didnât care much that you were both naked and in the shower, the two of you missing each other so badly none of that mattered. Of course he loved your body, but he wanted to clean you off and nurture you back to yourself before he made any move in that regard. That didnât stop him from lathering up a washcloth and running it over your body, scraping caked off mud and coagulated blood.Â
âI regret it.â You whisper again, the warm water on your back and his even warmer hands pulling you into his chest made your muscles relax for the first time in a while.Â
âHe loved you too, in his own messed up way.â Satoru sighs, one long arm wrapped around your waist, the other holding your head against him. He petted your hair and kissed the top of your head, the tears he cried for Suguru all dried up. He holds your face in his hands again, thumbs rubbing circles in your skin. The water ran an ugly murky brown color, but your body was returning to normal before him. âI know youâre sorry. I donât want to hear you say it again. I love you, in my own messed up way⊠so letâsâŠbe us again.âÂ
He sighs shakily, knowing he wasnât very gifted with words. He cleanses your body, eyeing your face for a reaction.Â
âSato, I..I donât deserve it.â You shake your head, almost embarrassed for him to take you back so easily, for him to tell you he loves you like you never broke his heart.Â
He lathers shampoo this time, gently raking his fingers through your hair and massaging your scalp. You were slightly surprised at his gentleness as well, not knowing him to be a patient or easy man. You suppose he changed a lot, on his own. âYou deserve it because I said so. Iâm ten times happier right now than I was when I woke up this morning. So shut up, let me clean you up, and weâll go to bed.âÂ
He smiles, guiding you under the stream of the showerhead and grinning as you comply. You didnât tense or jerk away from his touch, and he would celebrate the little victories as they came. You didnât protest as he finished, he wouldnât allow you to reciprocate any help in the shower, claiming he helped you because you were near collapse.Â
When he turns the water off and carries you from the tub, the lightheadedness you feel has to agree. He towels you off and helps you into the clothes he brought. He even carefully brushes your hair. He hoped you were noticing his ability to care for you, it was something he had been working on. Tender displays of affection, genuine acts of kindness, his work with his kids taught him this. He takes you to his room, applying cream and bandages to all your wounds.Â
He looks so focused, tongue poking out of his lips and brows furrowed together. Itâs like no time has passed. Itâs like another night in the dorms where you fool around and watch tv, except itâs nothing like that and ten years have gone by. You want to cry, you want to hug him, you want to sleep. You want to replace what he lostâwhat you took. âHow can I make this up to you?âÂ
He cups your cheeks in his hands again, placing a sweet kiss to your lips, careful with the cut that split your lower lip in two. Your question is ridiculous, but then again youâve always been silly. Being alive was good enough for him.
 âYou already have.â
its not my intention to sound like im victim blaming in any way at all, just a bit of an extension of your post of how young stars are failed by people who were meant to mentor them to help them cope.
iâve felt a lot of frustration with the boys these past few years and with liam specifically it was his inability to recognise the situation he was in and leave it behind. losing his sobriety so publicly, trying to gain fulfilment from a career thatâs been struggling too long to be able to revive in any meaningful way, constantly digging himself a deeper hole to a point of relentless public humiliation. he didnât have the right support system to help him deal with any kind of blowback and him constantly putting himself back out there felt like watching a televised self-flagellation.
again thatâs not me blaming him, he was failed by way too many people from a young age thatâs put him in a position of losing himself entirely and making him the person he was now as opposed to someone he couldâve grown into in another world. more than anything its a miserable situation because of how much lost potential (?) there is, he couldâve had a life away from the spotlight, sober and finding new purpose and a sense of self-worth not dependent on industry success, he couldâve made an effort to make amends sincerely, rehabilitate in a lot of ways. too many missed opportunities for himself, his loved ones, the people heâs hurt.
addiction is such an ugly, ugly disease. one that you can get help for or even acutely recognize in yourself and talk openly about while still just. becoming worse or relapsing time and time again even though your heart is screaming otherwise. it's a horrible sickness that your demons and ghosts latch onto and its so difficult to pry them off.
its just such a sad situation. so much failed him. even himself. and its devastating he couldn't be here to grow and get healthy and fulfill his purpose. it's just awful.
It's not a Crush! (Warriors x reader)
Warriors was in too deep. He never expected to have such strong feelings for you, but he couldn't help himself. It started off simple enough, with him admiring you from afar and wanting to get to know you better. But that was normal, right? To want to get to know another member of the team, to admire how strong and smart they are, and to think about what it would be like to kiss their very soft plump lips.
He tried his best to not make his feelings known, he is so very scared of making you uncomfortable, after all, he thinks he would rather die than have you upset with him. He has seen you angry before, he thinks he would shatter on the spot if that glare was ever aimed at his direction. But that is normal, right? After all, Warriors doesn't like to be on the receiving end of one of Time's glares either.
He normally has no issues with flirting with pretty people, but for some reason with you, it feels different, like he would be preying on you. And he doesn't want to make you afraid of him. Plus, most of the people he flirts with are people he will never see again, and he prays to all that is holy that he will get to spend more time with you. He knows he'll be devastated beyond repair when the group goes home after going through so much together, when you go home, without him.
He tries to distance himself from you when he realizes his admiration is slightly stronger than the kind reserved for friends. He really doesn't want to mess up and have to see you every day as a constant reminder of what he believes is an inevitable rejection. He reminds himself that he has self-control.
You are his diety, his guiding light. How could you ever feel the same way about him? But staying away from you is so very hard, he wants so badly to be near you, to discuss his deepest darkest fears as you wrap your perfect arms around his undeserving body.
He steals glances at you from across the campfire and checks up on you specifically after battles. But he's not being obvious, that's just normal behavior when you care about someone, and why wouldn't he care about you? He cares about the others, this is the same thing, right? He supposes that the only difference is that he doesn't want to pull the others in for a kiss after finding out they are still alive and kicking.
He ends up giving in to his desires a few months in, following you around like a lost puppy, offering to carry your belonging for you, to roll up your bedroll, or any other tasks he can potentially assist you with. He helps the other boys too, and you're not a hero, so as a captain, you deserve more of his attention than the others, you haven't done and see the same things that they have after all. He's just trying to help, plus he gets to spend more time with you this way.
Time and some of the others have been aware of his infatuation for a while, but it takes a little bit longer for Wind, the youngest of the heroes to figure out Warriors' feelings. Taking the role of a younger sibling to heart, Wind takes it upon himself to annoy the hell out of Warriors. He teases him constantly despite Warriors trying his best to deny his motivations for wanting to help you around camp.
Wind purposely will ask you and Warriors to help him with things he could very easily have done on his own, and one time he even set up Warriors' bedroll right next to yours in the guise of being nice to the older hero and helping him get ready for bed. Warriors didn't sleep at all that night, he was too distracted by your soft snores, and imagining you curled up beside him in a shared bed in the house he hopes to provide for you. His heart pounds at the thought, and he curses the young sailor for his realization and the emotions that flood his system at the thought.
