I really want to think deeply at some point about the ethics of breeding for extreme temperament (eg drive, food motivation -> trainability, tendency to hyperfixation, low energy, high defensive aggression) alongside the ethics of breeding for extreme structure.... from the standpoint of both being informed by neuroscience underlying brain variation and also being doubly neurodivergent, firmly anti - eugenics for humans, and firmly pro-deliberately-selective-breeding for dogs.

It's a landmine of a topic, not least because one of the use cases I would want to examine is an unintended side effect from breeding service dogs, but man what a topic to sit with and have first and second and third and fourth thoughts about in exhaustive detail. like an extremely autistic one-person six-opinion argument.

The latest BOAS grading stats by The Kennel Club. Those are great results and really shows what a difference getting a well bred dog makes when it comes to health.

84,8% of Frenchies, 81,8% of bulldogs and 78,6% of Pugs are unaffected.

I can't wait until these kinds of testing are available worldwide, right now in France we only have Breath testing which is clearly not as thorough.

There are a couple dog breeds that I find unappealing and most people agree with too but there's like. Two breeds that I find really gross to look at but most people love them and think it's cute and whenever I see wonderful art or a good picture of them it's like. This is still an ugly dog breed sorry.

Figured I finally unleash this head canon booger out into the wilds of Tumblr. Basically I always wondered if Worm!Envy was able to grow on their own much like a tadpole does when becoming a frog, what exactly would that middle form look like? What I've learned, their middle form would be this awesomely pug-like iguana looking booger. Size wise, I figured Pug-Envy would be roughly between a small house cat and an actual pug (My brain reads pug when I work on that middle form) in length and height. There is little to no doubt at all I'm gonna have to use this bigger angst pickle in a future fan fiction as I just love how Envy came out in that middle form, especially having their hair held up Little My style.
