1: Does Whiff wear glasses like humans or just near sighted without wearing one?: He still wears glasses actually! Here's a very very rough concept for him.

Sorry for the super bright green line art. Lol. Whiff a Swamp Drake! A wingless dragon species, that loves the cool murky swamp waters. He does smell pretty funky because he's in the swamp all the time.🤣

2: Who’s the fastest flying dragon?: Oof. That's a tough one. Out of the main cast, I would say Gordon. But, outside the group, I'd say there's quite a few dragons that could rival his speed. Like The Flying Scotsman.

3: Got anything to share about Nia?

OH MY GOSH Yes yes yes I do!!! Here she is! A beautiful African Painted Wyvern! One of the few wyvern species that's primarily a quadruped!

I've been wanting to share about her for SO long! She lives in the African wilderness, with her clan! Well, she used to. Unfortunately, there's not many of her kind left. Just like any other dragon species, human interference was slowly destroying her kind. Especially with the threat of poaching. And eventually, she was alone. But not for long! She eventually end's up joining Thomas's clan, and moving to Sodor!

Also, I actually have a little something for her and James planned. I always found it interesting that they were implied to be close in BWBA. (Wild, right?🤣) So, I might be doing a little something with that... ;)

4: What’s the dynamic between James and Percy?: I would say that in the first few stories, they definitely pick on each other. Percy is a cheeky, outspoken, and very confident young dragon. And James is well... ✨James.✨ Lol. So their personalities do clash a bit at first. But eventually, they became close. Especially after Tale Of The Brave. Percy is like James and Thomas's baby brother and they will both protect him at all costs.

5: How long can dragons live?: Hmmm. That's a good question. Looking at the original series, and how long the engines can live, I'd say that they can live way past 100, as long as they have a safe place to live. Some can even be thousands of years old! Like Hiro!

6: What’s Gordon’s biggest fear?: Being alone. Definitely. He might not be able to express himself properly. But the man lost almost his entire family/species. If he lost his new one, I think he would just break. :(

7: How did Henry overcome his illness or did he ever overcome it?: Okay! So this is an interesting one! He hasn't actually gotten rid of it. He just learned how to work with it. One being his back left leg, which is uh... Gone?😅 A very bad accident happened...😬 ANYWAYS, he has a prosthetic that he makes with his plant powers out of wood, so he can get around. (Henry's New Shape baby!😆😂) It's made of living material, and connected to the Earth. So it's like he never lost anything! His other thing is he has arthritis. I felt this fit well, because some older animals get this and it just seemed to work best out of all the options. He did learn a few ways of reliving the pain though. Being in water helps. He can relax his joints while cooling off. And some herbal remedies help too. I felt like portraying him as working with his conditions, rather than it just going away, was a bit more realistic. He's not an engine, so they can't just replace a few parts and everything is back to normal. Since he's a flesh and blood creature, things would be a lot different. He's most likely still going to feel the effects, even after the fact.

8: Are all eggs from each types of dragons unique or same colour and shape?: They're unique! Just like real life eggs! So many colors, shapes, and sizes! Here's a few examples I came up with! I numbered them too!

Storm Titan Egg. (Gordon's Species!)

Awdry's Blue Tarragon. (Thomas's species! Fun fact! Tarragon isn't just a name for a herb! It's latin name means "Little Dragon"!)

Opal Wing Wyvern. (This species is kinda related to James through his Wyvern side.)

9: Does Thomas ever travel around the ‘world?: Definitely! I haven't gotten that far in the story yet. But he definitely does a little bit of globe trotting. So do some of the other characters!

10: And lastly, are there any unicorns in this AU?: Yep! I'm not sure what characters they would be though. Or what their place is in the story yet. So, we'll see what happens with them! I might make a few characters like Annie, Clarabel, and Flora unicorns.

This is my VERY LAST PT 3 OC. 😩 This is Sachiko Kyari! Dolces mom/egg donor. She’s a really shitty mom and person in general. Unfortunately for her, she’s the weakest stand user of the minor arcane— Quartz Wands.  Her stand is a stained glass moth with an eye pattern that releases a glittery dust as it flaps its wings. The dust when inhaled caused nonsensical sense disruption. It can cause your speech and motor skills to reverse. (ex: Use your left hand to punch, you end up using your right. Or saying a sentence backwards)  this is a very debilitating stand to fight against but it’s not harmful in the slightest. She’s the last person the SDCs fight in Singapore. 

Once beaten she cowardly begs for mercy us;ing her child as a reason not to be fully hospitalized. Unlike her baby daddy, she doesn’t have any other tricks up her sleeve… She just got her new rhinoplasty and doesn’t want Jotaro to ruin it. 😭

Hello hello!! First of all, welcome to the mha fandom!!! It gets a little crazy here sometimes, but I hope you enjoy your stay here nonetheless! There are so many amazing fic writers out there that I know. Still, if you're specifically looking for people that understand the bkdk relationship, I'd start off with any of amarisllis' fics. She's fairly popular on ao3 and her portrayal of bkdk is *chefs kiss* Also also!! ladyofsnails makes amazing bkdk fics too!! Highly recommend too!! Now, if you're looking for specific fics instead of just authors, I'm gonna throw some in here below and give a brief summary of them (these are all on ao3 by the way): The Way You Used To Do by edema_ruh (Look. I know it's long, but it's the bkdk fic. Like. It's predicted events that happened in the manga. Anyways, this fic has a whole lotta forced proximity and slow burn.) warm hands by flowercafe (I used to reread this fic over and over again. Basically it's just a 5+1 of Katsuki taking care of Izuku's hands by massaging them.) you dragged me out (of a mile deep hollow) by deadwriter16 (Katsuki looks after Izuku post vigilante arc and gives him the love he deserves. Great hurt/comfort fic.) All We Ever Knew by dynamics (The writing for this fic is stunning. Goes really into depth with Katsuki's psyche and why acts the way he acts.) Halfway to the Moon (But the Sun is So Bright) by Catsired (Middleschool bkdk fic, but Bakugou realizes how much he's fucking Izuku over and tries to fix things.) in your dreams, nerd! by sapphic flower (Katsuki and Izuku can see each other in their dreams. Amazing concept. So well written)

Last Movie: Last "movie" has been either the "Agatha Christie's Poirot" episode "Five Little Pigs" (heartbreaking and so good!!! And come one, those episodes are long enough to be considered movies 😬). Otherwise the "Barbie" movie was the last movie I remember watching.

Currently Watching: since I'm still writing my master thesis (Ancient Greek comedy) whenever I'm not working and therefore need something that I don't need to pay attention to, "Rosenheim Cops". Also my mom went there this summer so now I recognize places, what's really cool 😍

Other Stuff I Watched This Year: Good Omens 2 (i have to say it, I liked season one more 😅😅🙈). Some episodes of Our Flag Means Death. Not out of lack of interest but because of lack of time and access 😔 several plays at my new theater ❤️❤️

Shows I Dropped This Year: uff, uh, good question but no memory rn of anything specific 🤔🤔

Currently Reading: stuff for my master thesis, so lots of articles and books about Ancient Greek comedy, especially about Aristophanes. Also stuff about Euripides, Aischylos and Sophokles. I wanted to read "Ilias" by Auguste Lechner but didn't get past the first few pages because of lack of time but that's on my to read list. Same as a play a colleague recommended, also the one we're currently working on. Otherwise only old fanfics because my brain feels a bit too full rn😅can't wait for the thesis to be finished 👀because I ordered a biography about one of my favorite authors of all time, Erich Kästner ❤️

She lowered her head and remembered those pirates surrounding her. Reading her name off the record. Single. All she was in that moment was a single woman, a single creature, a single object, a single profit. And they seemed so baffled by such a thing. What was it? Her home? Her age? Her appearance? The fact that everyone else in Cocoyashi had someone else? A mother, a father, a child, a spouse?

Wasn’t it good to be independent? To be alone, and strong, and free?

In the corner of her eye, she saw the shadows lurking out her windows. She was always seeing them, always hearing them. She grimaced and chugged some of the wine. It was too sweet, going down too fast. Made her get a headrush and left her feeling sick again.

A succession of heavy, sloppy footsteps sounded near her front porch. Most likely another figment of her imagination, now that she was clearly spiraling—fuck, this meant Dante was right. This meant maybe he was onto something because maybe she was unstable, but how was she supposed to find stability by herself?

I want to ask if you know any good metas/analysis about Kakashi out there? Or perhaps have you written posts about him? So far I’ve only read one that were very… ooc to say the least. They were less analysis than they were fan-pages where fans praise Kakashi for every single thing he does and completely ignore the times he might’ve not been the best person in the world. They agree with every little thing he does even when he contradicts himself, and then act like they love Kakashi for his flaws (even if they apparently don’t think he has any) and use the joker card "he’s traumatized" to justify his actions. And I understand why him being traumatized would impact the way he acts, of course… but still, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t criticize his behavior when necessary

If you have good reads about him I would be very thankful if you could respond, because right now I haven’t found anything very interesting yet 😅

Kakashi analyses? Hm, I don’t immediately remember any but I stopped reading them a while ago for the reasons you state, but also because of the complete opposite where the only focus is on criticism and nothing else, so I can't help you with that. I rarely talk about him. I like Kakashi a lot but whenever I do say anything, regardless of it being positive, there’s always either a cowardly anti or fan indirectly responding to it and making their own posts starting with some sort of “omg I can’t believe people think Kakashi-!!!!” or “I can’t believe people don’t see that Kakashi is-!!!!” And then proceed to cherrypick moments while failing to understand the context of the original question I responded to in the first place. Moments that I already acknowledged but won’t (dis)prove the conclusion by itself. Meh, it's not worth it. It’s like the entire point flew over their heads and I’m not even sure whether it’s deliberate or not. Kinda like grabbing a blob of butter and smacking some flour on the side claiming that it’s a cookie now. Like, what are you saying? 🙄 Okay, okay, petty rant over.

I mean....... 👀😬😬... I think it goes both ways though because this is very much a fandom thing and uh.. certainly not only Kakashi’s 💀 

Let's not think too long about it xD Just saying that the Naruto-fandom in general is very weird about which character is ‘allowed’ to do what in regard to a trauma response or what coping mechanism is okay, if it's even recognized as such. Yeah characters having flaws are so crucial. I don't see why it's always seen as criticism or something negative when you point something out. I could write entire essays on Naruto's flaws which.. despite them usually being limitations or something to overcome, in the end these traits were proven very necessary. For example his arrogance is seen as a flaw, both in the fandom and in the story. He even got lectured about it by Itachi. Being arrogant and not engaging with teamwork ('relying on comrades') by default is a character flaw for stories like these especially for a main character, but it's not like you can blame Naruto for being forced to only rely on himself while growing up. It's not his fault for being abandoned. He copes by believing in himself ("believe it!") and his own efforts because that's the only thing he could somewhat control thinking he'd succeed if only he works himself to the bone and finally gain some acknowledgement like a human being. Although he'd learn quickly that it's very conditional. In that sense, yes, his flaw is justified through trauma. Aaaand, it has purpose. It's not a bad thing. It’s depth and complexity that help make a character interesting and flaws can make them more relatable to the audience if done well. Without flaw there is no conflict and thus, no story. It’s otherwise nothing more than a powerpoint where a meaningless sequence of events is presented, but it won’t make you feel anything. You’re not engaged because you don’t care about what happens next. Nothing is solved because it wouldn’t be necessary and the author has nothing to tell nor would it be convincing if they had. Had Kakashi been flawless I wouldn’t even have liked him because these Mary Sue characters are boring as hell. Of course, it depends on context.. is it relevant to the story? Is it necessary to play their role? Does it have any impact? Is it consistent? How does it contribute? etc- I especially appreciate Kakashi from a storytelling perspective but I understand that not everyone wants to shove it all under that category. But answer questions like that and you can figure out whether something is worth exploring to see if it's a valid point of critique.

Ugh. You won't believe this. I'm sorry to bug you, but I just needed to vent.

I saw some idiot on twitter saying that when E met Priscilla he had an eleven year old girl living with him in Germany. They mentioned Scotty Moore said that in his book so I looked it up. What he said was at the time E met Cilla, he had an "even younger German girl" (his words) living in the house with his father and grandmother. Except...well, I can't find any proof of this; there’s no evidence nor mention of this girl (or how old she was) anywhere else in the book nor in any other books written about him. No proof he had anyone else like that living with him in Germany.

So I don’t think that claim is true. Where do people come up with this stuff anyway? How do you not get into an argument with these idiots? Because it's super annoying.

people who claim to hate elvis sure spend an awful lot of time reviling him on the internet, especially by regurgitating half-remembered anecdotal evidence without citing their sources. 🙄 on the other hand, it's also easy to fall into the trap of too-faithful elvis historian; by that i mean that the fact that so much of his life is documented sometimes makes us complacent in our belief that if it can't be verified by multiple primary sources that it must not have happened. but we can't always say, and getting too involved as if the historical accuracy of one particular proposed event is the end-all be-all of elvis fandom can get exhausting.!

i wouldn't be surprised to find out either way, that this was or wasn't true. but you're free to make up your own mind, and if it distresses you, then fwiw i think you Totally have a leg to stand on affirming it never happened, like you said !! ultimately, it doesn't have much bearing on right now- if you like elvis, this vague and nebulous criticism probably isn't the thing that'll make you stop liking elvis, and if you hate elvis, you're probably determined to keep doing that regardless.

regarding the twitdiots- while looking into this claim i found a lady on there who legitimately believed that agent elvis tells the true story of how e was experimented on and mind controlled into drug abuse by the government.. like she said That with her whooole chest. so i don't put much stock in public opinion over there 😂😂💀

i want to fight those people extremely often (they're not just on twitter, either- it seems to have died down a little praise GOD but especially in early days after the movie there was a wave of ppl on here who would put their elvis hate in the main tags. WHICH DROVE ME BATTY), but i come from the "don't feed the trolls" era of fandom. as much as id like to rip 'em a new one when they rehash the same two issues over and over and OVER again ad nauseum, i content myself with the fact that they're living a pathetic existence in which they actively choose to fill their life with something they dislike for... no discernable reason.?

25.What inspired you to create them / how did you create them? Were they originally a fancharacter? What was their personality / design like when you first made them?

Boy howdy, the answer to this question just keeps going and going. I don't know if you were shooting for the Abridged Full History of the Development of Lucía Moreno-Hernandez, but that's what you're gonna get.  😅

Originally, Everday Miracle was just going to be a silly little one shot of how Bruno got the dang horse at the end of the movie. With the first draft of the first chapter, Lucía was just a throw away character. 😬😅 I asked myself 'where did Bruno get that horse and how did he get it?', and Lucía was a means to an end - she was just someone kind enough to recognize a desperate man when she saw one and offer him a way to get where he needed to go, without putting up too much of a fuss about who he was.

And then I thought - wouldn't it be nice if Bruno had a friend? And wouldn't it be nice if he could help her in some way too?

....and it ballooned wildly from there. 😂

I didn't know what a fancharacter was until I looked it up and I suppose technically speaking she is a fancharacter because I created her specifically for this Encanto story!

Originally her two main traits were kind and practical, and I think I've stayed pretty true to those traits, though of course her personality developed and became more complex from there. I played around with the idea of her having more than one child and also swapping aspects of her and her sister Sofia - aka in another universe, Lucía might have had 5 kids and run the horse stables while Sofia ran the print shop with Lorenzo. Ultimately I decided that was way too many kids for poor Bruno to have to win over and way too many people for me to keep track of writing. (There are already 12 Madrigals! 12! I did not need to add another 6 main characters 😂.)

As for her design, I admit I came up with her personality and background waaaaay before I ever thought about what she looked like physically. (Back when I was only posting on ff.net, I didn't describe in detail anything but her eyes and height until chapter 22!  When I transferred the story to AO3 I moved some descriptions around so people had a better idea of what she looked like earlier on.)

I settled on the design I ultimately did because it seemed like a lot of villagers had similar traits and I was hoping to find a screenshot/spot her somewhere in the scenes where there are a lot of villagers. I uh....should probably do that some time haha.

And, to a lesser extent, I chose her physical traits because I wanted her to blend in. I wanted her to be unassuming physically. There's a poem by William Wordsworth called 'She dwelt among the untrodden ways' and the middle verse says:

   "A violet by a mossy stone Half hidden from the eye! —Fair as a star, when only one Is shining in the sky."

And that's kind of the vibe I was going for with Lucía. To most people she's not particularly remarkable but to the people who love her, she's special and beautiful and means the world to them.

For the most memorable scene game:

• 'Children of Zaun': tough choice, so I'll list a few moments. I would say the first chapter (Viktor and Katya are really sweet together and it introduces nicely Katya and the way she and her brother live; it's also my sister's choice), the first time Silco and Katya meet each other, Silco being sweet and protective of his mom, the labour in the mines (both meanings) and Silco giving his undershirt to Katya (such a sweet and lovely young man).

• 'Wink' in its entirety. I really like it, I think about that fic every time I stumble upon some fics or fanarts where Silco tries to wink ^^

• 'Under his Skin': Finn's sticky seat 😏😅
