Does AM enjoy the sensation of Vernon close to him/when she touches him?

I like to believe AM's come a long way with being touched. When he first transferred his consciousness over to his body, it was sensory overload. The WORST kind.

Everything was too loud, too quiet, he could smell EVERYTHING, everything was too hot, too cold, not hot enough, his mouth felt dry even with the saliva he had, how much it hurt feeling the air in his lungs, HE COULD FEEL HIS EYEBALLS IN HIS SKULL. It was like being born, it was awful. Like Nietzsche said; "To live is to suffer."

Vernon sat him down, trying to calm him since this is technically the first "human" she's seen after 109 years.

AM could feel every fold of his clothing rubbing against his skin, every microscopic fibre stabbing his skin. The residual warmth from Vernon touching him to sit him down so he wouldn't collapse caused AM to start screaming, sobbing.

Because he had no mouth (roll credits) prior to this, he didn't know how to use it to form words. He couldn't articulate what was wrong in his fit of screaming and tears.

And so his body went limp not 10 minutes after. He got out of there, telling Vernon that it's the closest thing he could compare to the torture he put on the other five. Vernon had to convince him to come back again or she'd tear the damn body apart and eat it.

It took months, baby steps of getting him adjusted in being a man. They spent weeks on smell, touch, and heat before they would even consider movement. It was tough on Vernon's end, smart as she is, she's a terrible teacher, asking AM to leave her alone for a few hours or days, lashing out when he's in such a vulnerable state.

But Vernon persisted, and finally AM got to hold her comfortably. Fast forward to now, AM has grown quite fond of the sensation of touch and touching things just for the sake of it. They could be sitting and he'd have it so their shoulders are touching.

AM is fond of Vernon's touch, that's the only time she's gentle (despite her words) with anything that might have the possibility of breaking. He enjoys her softness and warmth; How protective she is of him. AM can't articulate genuine care since his hatred for humanity is still there, but he's grateful, even despite his taunts.

Have AM and Vernon ever kissed? Will they ever kiss?

They kiss often, those two degenerates. It almost makes me jealous how often they kiss (D1 hater over here).

Vernon's technically kissed him before, just to get him comfortable, but it's never on the lips or near his face, usually his wrists and knuckles. Exposure therapy along with affection, basically. He didn't try to kiss her back until he was fully prepared to.

After fully adjusting to his new body, AM was finally able to kiss Vernon. He wasn't very good at it his first attempt. It was more similar to AM headbutting Vernon than an actual kiss.

Having a body gave way to a new emotion; embarrassment. Since he's now technically on the same level as her (in height as well, he's a lil dude) he was embarrassed that his first attempt didn't go as planned. When he didn't have a body, there was nothing to be judged, but now he does.

After brushing it off as him being curious and just feeling like headbutting her, AM didn't attempt to kiss her on the lips until he was sure he was ready.

Their proper first kiss was quite nice.

it's extremely hard to make him shy/blush lets be honest. he's always a step ahead of you. on the rare occasions that you managed to catch him off guard and fluster him his resolve would instantly break. he'd whine at you and jokingly call you a perv for wanting to corrupt him even if you were teasing him with innocent intentions.

joshua -

have u seen him in gose he's literally immune to shyness. he'll chuckle at whatever it is that you do to get a reaction out of him, thinking it's adorable you want to see his cheeks turn pink. he'd make it his goal to make you blush instead, whatever means necessary.

he'd cover his face and whine at you the second he felt the heat arrive to his cheeks. whether innocent or not, he'd react immediately to any advance you made towards him in order to fluster him. he'd hide his face in your shoulder and laugh, embarrassed at how easily you can get a reaction out of him.

he does not know the concept of flustered. he'd pull an uno reverse card and fluster you without even meaning to. you wanna hit on him in front of the members? he'd purr at you and stick to you until you took him to bed. you wanna get a reaction through flirting? he'd maybe act a bit bashful but be genuinely touched and nuzzle his head into your neck. literal tiger cub in human form.

wonwoo -

he'd call you out for trying to get a reaction out of him. he can see right through you and you are not getting through to him. he holds all the power when it comes to flustering the other, sorry. he knew that as soon as he deepened his voice or looked at you a certain way you'd break, which gave him immunity to any attempt to make him blush.

jihoon -

he may seem a bit stoic in that area, but he would fold immediately if you ever complimented him (whether innocently or with other intentions in mind). if you simply complimented him, he'd blush and look away, bashfully denying you. if you tried to make advances towards him he would give in to whatever you wanted, almost begging for it.

seokmin -

no matter how you go about it he always blushes at any interaction with you. whether you compliment him or hit on him or straight up try to seduce him in front of the members, he'll always blush like crazy and avoid eye contact, knowing how whipped he is for you.

mingyu -

he'd be so excited at the concept of you wanting to get a reaction out of him. he'd make that loud 아휴 sound he always makes and encourage you to compliment/seduce/do whatever you want to get him to blush. he would, however, not blush or get shy either way though lmao.

minghao -

he'd roll his eyes jokingly, knowing all you wanted was a reaction. you cant get him to blush he's seen it all!! he's too confident to feel flustered at anything you did. he'd just match whatever energy you gave him.

seungkwan -

you might break him if you do anything to get him to blush. no matter how innocent (of not), he would blush like crazy and avoid eye contact. then he'd start whining at you accusing you of being rude and mean because 'why would you want me to get red like that! thats so embarrassing!!'

vernon -

he wouldnt even realize youre trying to get him to blush or react flustered unless you were extremely obvious. the only way i think you could really get him to blush or lose his composure would be if you tried to seduce him with very obvious advances, in which case he'd blush with wide eyes and give you free reign.

chan -

even though he's used to his members trying to embarrass him, he must keep some type of manly persona around you, which is why he'd try not to react too bashfully to your compliments or advancements. however, you could occasionally catch him off guard and get him to whine at you for trying to get him to blush.

IV.

Somehow, Seungkwan was on the other side of the bed.

You were nestled into his naked torso, your lips pouted against his neck. Your hair was a mess around you, your leg flung over his waist as you slept soundly. He rolls his eyes, wondering how to get out of the position without waking you. It's barely dawn, he likes some time to himself before dealing with the mortals that are honestly the bane of his existence.

He gently wraps his fingers around your knee, moving you off his body with precision. He'd never let any of the other mortals sleep in his bed, much less with him, but he knows it's the guilt from killing you off years ago. Unfortunately, Seungkwan is far too aware of his wrongs. In the past, he'd gotten scolded by several of his peers due to his harsh nature. He and Vernon got drunk over an aged wine a few years after your disappearance and Seungkwan admitted he'd jumped the gun on punishment.

What he didn't know was that Vernon spoke to Seungcheol about it, who then spoke to Jeonghan about it. That's how they came up with sending you back to Seungkwan for your last chance at life, maybe you could right your wrongs with each other. You both struggle with pride and yearn to be perfect, never wanting to admit when you're wrong.

But you were human, you knew you couldn't be perfect. You had a softer heart, not having seen the things Seungkwan had seen or lived the life he'd known. Seungkwan had built his walls up nice and high, and rarely let anyone in to take a peek. You in his bed was something he'd never allow if you were just anyone.

He knows it's also his attraction for you coming to the surface. It didn't take a genius to realize that it was this he'd been looking for in every lover he'd ever tried to have – your witty remarks, your obvious disinterest in him or his skills as a god. You weren't looking at him as some being worth worshiping, but someone who needed to be loved, to be held together and forgiven – despite resenting him.

He knows you can't possibly know how much his past decisions weigh on him, but it is scary to think that you can sense something about him. You know something, something that makes him feel uneasy, and it's what's inside. You know his pain, his truth, his heart.

Sighing, he softly rolls you onto your back, covering your bare body with the duvet. It's only half true, what he said about your body – he's amazed at every curve and dimple, he wants to run his hands all over you until the end of time. He likes the way your hips swing as you walk, the bounce in your step and how soft your cheeks are. How soft you are.

What kind of god is he if he gives into his desires? If he sinks his teeth into you like a cat catching a mouse, if he lets you teeter him around like a puppet for just a taste of you? What kind of god is he if he lusts after you when he knows getting involved with mortals won't end well for him, especially when he knows the moment you sink your claws into him, he'd be a goner? Not much of a god then, is he? "Don't go." You murmur, eyes still closed and brows scrunched as you touch his wrist. He jolts slightly, but moves to pull away anyway. "I have to. I need to make your clothes." He whispers back, the sun beginning to peek in through the open window. 

Pouting, you pull him closer. "Just a little longer." "The sky's awake, angel. I have to be up." He works your fingers off his wrist, splaying your hand across his pillow. "I'm still in the room, I'm not going anywhere." This seems to be enough for you, as he grabs the robe you wore the night before and shrugs it on. He wipes at his eyes carefully, stretching before he slides off the bed. He tucks the corner of the duvet under the pillow, watching your fingers grasp at the pillowcase.

He moves around quietly, gathering the linens he'd pinned for you the night before. He sits at his desk, opening his drawer to get his glasses out and prepares needle and thread. Glancing up, he sees you pouting still, burying your face into his pillow with a sigh – and feels a twinge in his chest.

Zeroing back in, he quietly sews the linen as the sun rises slowly. You toss and turn, frustrated sounds coming from the direction of his bed enticing him to look over – but he doesn't. It's not until he accidentally pricks his finger with a pin that he notices you've gotten up and are settling on the floor next to his chair. 

"What are you doing, threadling?" He asks, almost as if he doesn't really care what you're doing. 

"Can't sleep." You mutter, reaching your fingers out to touch his ankle as you lay down, wrapping yourself like a burrito in the blanket. He peers down at you, seeing the way your fingers ghost over his skin when he sighs, pushing his chair back carefully.

"Alright, come on. Get up." 

You groan up at him, feeling him move away from your fingertips as you sit up. "What?" He doesn't respond, choosing to walk away from you and sink back into the bed. He huffs a bit, trying to hide the giddy feeling in his stomach as he sees you slowly approach. "Quickly, before I change my mind." You climb onto the bed at that, abandoning the blanket on the floor as you lay next to him, your arm loosely wrapping around his torso as he pulls the duvet over you. "Don't lay on the floor again, okay? Just ask me to come back."

"I did, you left me anyway." You murmur, a sad look etched on your brows before you sigh into his robe. He stops himself from comforting you, his fingers aching to run through your wild hair and biting back his apology. He sits silently, letting you drift back asleep holding his hip.

He doesn't like wasting the day. He knows he should pry himself away, and pull you out of bed too. He just can't bring himself to disturb your peace that way.

He gives in, his fingers gently stroking your hairline, moving stray hairs off your face. You lean into the warmth of his hand as he moves the hair off your neck, thumbing the shell of your ear carefully before clearing his throat.

"We've got a busy day, Y/N. We need to get up."

His fingers graze your neck softly, before his thumb caresses your jaw. You sigh into the air as you open your eyes, looking up at him. "It's so early." "Early bird gets the worm. You've yet to have breakfast and get dressed. Come on." He's speaking softly, his thumb now tracing circles into your soft cheeks. He can't help it, pinching the fat gently before moving away. Thankfully, you don't question his actions, just sluggishly throw the duvet off your body. He holds up the skirt from before, the ruby red material glittering in the light. "This one, yes? And the pink top? Or the white one?" "What is this, dress-up?" You yawn, and Seungkwan frowns. "Be nice, I made this for you." "Sorry, oh wisest one. Dress me like a doll." You stand and stretch your arms up, and he rolls his eyes as he carefully wraps the skirt around you, feeling your hands on his shoulders as he pins it in place. "Maybe I'll add a little drawstring so it's more secure, hm?" He's speaking to himself, but you nod anyway. "Arms up." He says, before tugging the soft white shirt over your head, carefully slipping your arms through. "There we go. What do you think? Pretty?" He turns you to face the mirror once more, hands on your hips as you sleepily look at yourself. You nod in silence, and he cards his fingers through your hair gently, pulling it back and pulling a piece of white ribbon out of his pocket. He ties the hair back carefully, the ribbon looped into a bow. "So it won't get in the way. Oh, and I'll get started on some shoes for you sometime this week. You'll just be indoors today, so don't worry about getting hurt." You're peering at him through the mirror, your hands folded in front of you as you speak. "Why do you ask if I think the outfit is pretty?" He raises a brow, "Why the question?" "You asked if I think I look pretty. Why does it matter? It's just us." You shrug, the flowing material of the skirt flowing smoothly as you turn to face him. "And it's not like you'd tell a mortal she's pretty, would you?" Seungkwan can feel that same guttural guilt he felt earlier slowly begin to slip away. He couldn't figure you out – you could be so sweet, so flirty and pouty, and then you could be this. Defiant, bratty, argumentative.

"Can't I want to know if you feel good in what I'm making for you? Would you rather I make you wear a sack? Or walk around nude for anyone to see you?" He scoffs, seeing you smile inwardly. "Does anyone involve you?" He doesn't respond, shaking his head as he sinks into his closet.

Plotting out "Shadow Spirit" (Disney movie)

Make sure to check out the summary for this and my other stories in my post about the second part of the Resurgence Era. As usual, I may come to edit this later. (And disclaimer: this post is a quick creation that is not the result of years like an actual film would be, and thus may not match the storytelling/music that properly reflects the culture.)

Background

Thanks to the success of "Yaksha," Disney is interested in making another story influenced by Southeast Asia, and eventually a project is proposed based on the puppet theater seen in Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Inviting Adele Lim back following her work as a co-writer on "Raya and the Last Dragon," she in turn reaches out to Cherry Chevapravatdumrong, who wrote the film "Joy Ride," which Lim directed, to write the script (I know that's probably not how it works, but ignore the inaccuracy, lol) and Fawn Veerasuthorn serves as head of story. Despite having a director of Malaysian descent and two major crew members involved in the story being of Thai descent, Disney eventually opts to focus the story on Indonesian culture, specifically Javanese. Given that Indonesia is a largely Islamic culture and Islamophobia is a touchy subject in the western world, the team worked to portray Islamic-Indonesian culture as respectfully and accurately as possible (within the constraints of entertainment), though it has been stated that significant influence was taken from the Majapahit era, which was dominated by Hinduism and Buddhism. And while the team brainstormed having a female lead, they wanted to show that a team o women didn't automatically have to be writing a female-driven story (though there were still strong female characters), and opted to make a story with a male lead. Disney hired James Newton Howard once more to conduct the score, with Helen Park and Max Vernon hired to do the songs. Originally, the film had themes of colorism, but test audiences gave mixed feedback on the execution of it, and the subject was dropped. Dallas Liu and Mark-Paul Gosselaar were reportedly the desired characters for the lead, but Gosselaar ended up voicing his father.

Plot

When the world was first created, the divine one created humans in two sets, one to work in the sun, while the other worked at night. However, one day, those who worked at night became envious of those who worked in the day, and a war struck out, creating an eclipse when the counterparts fought. The divine one sided with the sun workers, and defeated the night workers, killing them and reincarnating them as shadows of the sun workers, and the sun workers took the nights off. Centuries later, a darkness covers the land, leading the country to become reliant on fires and artifical light. When a young man discovers a bit of sunlight, he brings it to the kingdom, but it is so strong that it revives the shadows, who go to war with the humans. When the Emperor asks for someone to find a way to end the impending war peacefully, the young man steps forward. But how can you battle someone who knows you inside and out?

Characters

(As usual, this is not a comprehensive list of characters by any stretch of the imagination, but the main players you need to know, in a bare bones format. As such, the songs also reflect this list, likely only making songs for the characters provided. The images below would serve as inspiration for the characters' designs and/or personalities.)

Sukarno--A proud hero, Sukarno volunteers to save the empire from the shadows, even though he has no idea how. Physically fit and with an affinity for the arcane, Sukarno is somewhat cocky and arrogant due to his gifts, believing that he must simply kill the shadows as one kills a person. But this is a complex problem, especially since some of the shadows inhabit the bodies of humans, and their faith points out (something that most people ignore, forget, or don't quite interpret the same way), these shadows are their twins, and thus living creatures themselves. This only complicates things further when Sukarno's own shadow comes alive, but unlike many others, is a friend and ally to him rather than an enemy.

Kirana--A young maiden who is a dhewekan, or a person born without a shadow. Given the rising possibility of war, she grew up under much suspicion, with some suspecting that she is simply a shadow inhabiting a human's body. She is shy and softspoken, and Sukarno thus finds her a good person to join him on his journey, wanting to use her not-often-used charms and skill at political tact. Unlike Sukarno, Kirana is much wiser and in tune with the natural world. Maybe that's why she has a pet panther...

Ananto--The political advisor to the emperor (of course he is), he studied occult arts in order to control the sentient shadows, leading to the world's darkness. He experimented for years, resulting in many kidnappings and deaths, even harming the emperor when attempting to control him via his shadow, leading to him deciding that war was the easier route to go. He serves as a messenger for Sukarno's process and the emperor's wishes, though he often recites it from memory, and has recently decided that he should deliver the "Emperor's" wishes to Sukarno personally. You can always tell he's near by the hiss of his pet blue krait.

Songs

Sundial--The origins of the sun and shadow workers, and the message of the tale being how people have duality, and that no one knows their true self until faced with a significant challenge. Told by shadow puppetry (and the ending possibly does the same, similar to Disney's storybook openings/endings and "Beauty and the Beast" doing stained glass)

Reward--Sukarno witnesses the shadows attacking his village, and ventures to the emperor to see what can be done. However, the emperor is sickly and unable to provide aid, nevermind being at a loss for this supernatural threat, so he requests the aid of a hero, promising him half the kingdom. Sukarno accepts, even as fear and doubt flood his mind, overwhelmed by greed and pride.

I Don't Remember You--Kirana begins to notice something of a change with Sukarno, noting that he begins to show a more goofy personality akin to the personality he attributed to his shadow. Defensive, Sukarno counters that she is equally suspicious for lacking a shadow, and the duo come into conflict over the lack of trust.

Who Can Say--Ananto, who originally seemed to just be a well-meaning but overbearing adviser, is revealed to be a schemer for the throne, often misconstruing the emperor and Sukarno's messages to each other. When Sukarno reveals to the emperor about his shadow twin, Ananto claims that Sukarno has become possessed and is to be put to death, all without the emperor's knowledge.

Miss Me--Sukarno contemplates the life he would've lived if his shadow, who he calls Yangan from the Javanese "wewayangan" or "shadow," and he contemplates his possible future once the war is stopped. Will Yangan no longer be able to communicate with him, and will he realize his feelings for Kirana. It's a trio song, and it's heavily believed that this was originally a solo for Yangan implying he's Sukarno's miscarried twin, but was scrapped for being too dark of a concept.

Reward (Reprise)--With the shadows restored as humans, Sukarno allows for Yangan to take the credit for the solution, as well as their more politically savvy friend who can help the country adjust to their population doubling, deciding to take time to relax, and possibly propose to Kirana.

Translation State, Ann Leckie (high sf alien horror regency romance. Wheeeeee. I had a lot of fun reading this. You can read it as a standalone, but you get deeper context if you've read the ancillary justice series, also highly recommended)

Will of the Many, James Islington (futuristic roman empire aesthetic rigged murder school. Not precisely good but appallingly catchy, I read all six hundred pages in pretty much one sitting. If you liked red rising you'll like this, if you hated red rising you will Not)

🍜 responsability

when mingyu took jun’s place as hansol’s roommate, he had some instructions handed out to him. junhui made sure he knew about hansol’s weird sleeping schedules, his dissociative moments while listening to music, and overall quirky traits like meowing out of nowhere and staring into nothingness for hours, but what jun made sure to highlight among it all was hansol’s complete lack of ability when it came to cooking.

“he’s like a hopeless teenage boy, gyu,” jun had explained during a quick meeting they had to talk about the moving, chatting over coffee and pastries. “if no one’s paying attention, he lives off of bread and jam, you know?”

mingyu, after a sip of his americano, exhaled a light chuckle.

“that’s cute. how old did you say he is again?”

jun tapped at his chin. “he’s a 98, so 24.”

“yeah, should at least know how to fry an egg,” mingyu pondered, “but no problem, i can cook for two, you know i don’t mind.” he shrugged.

“cool. i have a feeling you two will get along,” jun affirmed, intending not only to assure mingyu but himself, since he didn’t want to be the one responsible for putting any of his friends in a bad situation.

“yeah, i’m rooting for it,” mingyu complemented, leaning back on his seat with a dreamy sigh.

turns out junhui was not wrong, but wasn’t totally right. they did get along pretty well, mingyu’s puppy-like personality filling the voids hansol’s cat-like one left, and vice-versa. sometimes, one had more ability to solve a problem, or could take over certain chores better than the other. that balanced out the moments that could be seen as a burden to their newly developed relationship, especially when it came to a topic that was, funnily enough, mentioned in advance: food.

mingyu discovered that, while hansol, if junhui was correct, would survive on bread and butter or something like that, it didn’t mean one. it didn’t mean he ate little. in fact, hansol was actually more akin to a human vacuum when it came to any edible thing available, which started to get on mingyu’s nerves as he never knew how much he should be cooking.

or for how long he should leave his meal out of his watch.

“hansol!” mingyu exclaimed, about to spit a train of curses. he sighed deeply and gestured in the air, “i was gone for two minutes, how the hell did you manage to vanish with my ramyeon?!”

hansol blinked one, two times, slurping the noodles in the process.

“sorry, hyung.” he didn’t look really sorry as he said that, which made mingyu squint his eyes in disbelief. “you left it unsupervised and i thought you could just make more if you really wanted it…”

“unsupervised? i was taking a phone call!” retorted mingyu, forcing his roommate to stop for an instant to think about another reply.

“well, it’d be cold when you got back…”

mingyu exhaled in defeat.

“alright. i’ll just make some more.”

in the middle of bringing more ramen to his lips, hansol stopped, eyes attentive:

“how much more?”

mingyu frowned. “haven’t you eaten your share already?”

“hmm, still hungry.” hansol rubbed his stomach unpretentiously, the loose t-shirt he wore hiding the slight roundness that was already settling on his lower belly.

mingyu gave himself a moment to consider, pondering if the boy was being too greedy or was indeed hungry still.

since he didn’t wanna risk being a prick and had to make a new portion anyway, he decided that adding a bit more wouldn’t hurt.

“ok.”

it kept happening. hansol’s never-ending appetite, mingyu’s ever-disposition to feed him. as the time passed, they became more comfortable around each other, their day to day dynamic much better than the beginning weeks of living together. chores were shared, personal space was respected, habits were learned. they functioned like proper roommates nowadays.

one particular thursday, mingyu entered the apartment with two plastic bags hanging from his hand, a paper one under his arm.

“brought takeout. too tired to cook for you today,” he informed, putting them on the dining room table.

hansol’s eyes glistened, a strange and curious feeling shining from them. mingyu was a bit confused, until he realized, “for us. i meant for us,” he corrected himself as he took the containers from the bags.

hansol, however, didn’t seem too affected by it. his hyung had said what he said.

“ah, mingyu hyung,” he purred in the sweetest voice possible as he opened the boxes. “you’re the best, you know?”

mingyu simply smiled, feeling a warm blush creep up his cheeks.

considering the basic maths of hansol constantly on the hunt for food, meanwhile mingyu made sure there was plenty available, even when he couldn’t cook himself, in three months there were surely some visible changes, precisely on hansol’s wardrobe and waistline. the loose shirts, shorts and pants weren’t so loose anymore, hugging tighter wherever his new weight settled: his soft, chubby (and adorable, mingyu thought every time a shirt rode up to reveal skin) belly, his squishy cheeks and arms, his supple thighs. no body part escaped from the routine of being pampered by his roommate.

and said roommate… well, mingyu got overwhelmed at first in the face of this new “obligation” he ended up taking responsibility for. from the first month, though, he started seeing as another part of his day, another duty as natural was brushing his teeth in the morning. plus, he did enjoy how much hansol seemed to like his food, as well as he sensed some weird kind of pride in watching him always getting full from it.

(did he dig too deep to understand that? no. would he be confronted with it anyway? sooner than he thought).

that happened when he came home to a sight he didn’t ever dream of, but it certainly seemed to have come out of one.

hansol was sprawled on the sofa, legs opened and body slouched, two hands over his shirtless torso, more exactly running over his distended stomach, which was obviously filled to its maximum.

his sweats no longer needed to have its strings tied, stretched under the curve his belly already made over his lap.

mingyu felt his face heat up. it’d be less embarrassing to have caught him naked, to be honest.

“h-hansol?”

the reply came first as a hiccup.

“yeah?”

mingyu walked with caution into the room, as if one wrong step would make him wake up from that weird dream.

“what did you… what did you do?” he asked, tone not a reprimand, but pure curiosity and… desire? he felt his head spin.

hansol breathed in and out, pressing his fingers on a few tight spots. he seemed to be concentrating on his mission in order to not appear affected by mingyu’s presence. “ate the lasagna you left in the oven… you cooked that for dinner, right?”

“hansol, that was supposed to be our dinner for three days,” mingyu pointed out, his expression communicating the shock that buzzed through his body. he got closer, eager to see hansol better. to touch him. “i thought you’d eat like half of it and leave the rest for the other nights!”

“oh…” hansol’s face was bright red, as red as the tomato sauce around his lips.

before mingyu could stop himself, he asked, “jesus, how did you fit all of that inside?”

another hiccup slipped from hansol’s mouth. this time, mingyu was able to witness how much it made the rolls on his hips and waist jiggle.

“p-practice?” he stuttered, now aware of the interest in the older man’s eyes. he decided to give his inner considerations a shot, “i’m no lightweight, hyung. never have been. dunno why you didn’t seem to believe that.”

mingyu’s eyebrows almost met in confusion.

“what? what do you mean believe?”

hansol made his best to sit straight, the weight of the food a ridiculous obstacle. he felt like he needed fo defend himself, “well, you kept increasing the portion sizes, and bringing more food! it’s like you wanted me to eat!”

mingyu was moving his arms in the air, frantically.

“hansol, what the fuck? i kept making and bringing more food because how else could i keep up with your appetite?!”

“oh.” with his arms behind his back, belly looking even bigger and making mingyu dizzy, hansol looked part cute and part sinful, the puzzled face turning into one of shame. mingyu wanted to bite him. “so it wasn’t like… a challenge or something?”

“what? no! why would i challenge you?”

“i don’t… i don’t know. you seemed happy when i ate. especially when it was something you made, but i figured it was the same when you brought it, too. so i kept trying my best to enjoy,” he justified, speech speed forcing him to stop to breathe. “i mean, clearly that had some consequences, but…” he gestured to his belly, shifting in place to accommodate himself better. it was the first time his gain was being openly acknowledged.

when hansol decided to finally meet mingyu’s eyes, he hiccuped one last time in surprise. no negative emotion laid there. quite the opposite.

“you’re ridiculous,” mingyu sputtered, taking a step closer so they almost touched.

hansol smiled, mischievously.

“hmm, am i?” he laid back again, rubbing his tummy like he was inviting, daring mingyu. “you kept making sure i was stuffed, so i don’t think you’re so innocent.”

“i wasn’t– shut up!” mingyu lost his composure, dropping his knees on the couch and pushing hansol’s arm. “you’re the one who can barely move right now, i wouldn’t be so big-mouthed about this.”

hansol whined.

“hyung.” he grabbed mingyu’s hand, guiding it to his abdomen. “you need to take responsibility for what you’ve done.”

mingyu sighed. big sigh. why fight it?

“you little fucker,” he cursed, grip tigheting on the softness of hansol’s lower belly. “you’re a spoiled brat, that’s what you are.”

“hmm?” hansol hummed, his palm onto mingyu’s knuckles in the intention of guiding his movements.

although mingyu accepted it, he also sat properly, pulled hansol closer to cuddle him and joined with his previous free hand, pinching side rolls just to see hansol yelping.

“keep still. tell me if it hurts,” he ordered, a pang on both his heart and between his legs as hansol sighed, satisfied.

at a certain moment, mingyu had to pinch himself to just to make sure that wasn’t a strange hallucination, especially when hansol’s whines became more of pleasure than of protest. he kept rubbing the space until it was almost completely soft, drinking hansol’s little noises like they were a heavenly beverage.

after a suave nibble on his neck, mingyu inquired, “do you still have room for dessert?”

On half moons the jackalope wives will take off their skins and dance naked around a fire. To get yourself a jackalope wife, you grab their skin and toss it into the fire. Sounds easy, but no one mentioned the screaming from the pain of having your body and freedom burnt right in front of you. Dream burns off Hob's skin, Corinthian helping hold him down as he trashed around trying to rescue it from the fire, Dream kissing his tears away and cooing at his wails as Hob realizes he can't go home again, he's stuck in the human world forever.

Oh no, poor Hob!

The thing is, Dream has never wanted a traditional relationship... but when he happens to see Hob dancing in the moonlight, he changes his mind on the spot. He has to have Hob as his wife, no matter what happens. It's laughably easy to convince his best friend to help make it happen - Corinthian is always up for this kind of thing. Dream promises that he can even have a turn with Hob if it all goes well.

It's a good thing that Dream did enlist some help, because his new bride does not make things easy. After the initial agony of having his skin burned, Hob is SO angry. He fights like hell, and both Dream and Cori end up covered in scratches and bites. On their first night together Hob straight up tries to murder Dream by smothering him. And he just keeps trying, every single night. Dream kind of grows used to being physically assaulted, and gradually starts using it as an excuse to persuade Hob to use his adrenaline in other ways. The hate sex is so violent, Dream sometimes wakes up with a sprained wrist or even a black eye.

Gods it's so worth it, though. Fucking Hob is like heaven. He's so hot and tight and ridiculously flexible, and he does things that Dream would never have imagined. One night in particular he rides Dream’s face and damn near smothers him again. He looks down and asks Dream if he's happy with his choice of wife? Is he glad that he took Hob so forcefully? Because Hob intends to make Dream’s life as difficult as possible.

And Dream just smirks. He doesn't even care if Hob does finally kill him. It'll be worth it to be able to slide into that beautiful body every night.

Speaking of Lost Boys OCs...

Okay so since we're all sharing our Lost Boys OCs, I figured I'd share mine lol. I had one wayyyy back in like 2011 or whatnot that I wrote about on fanfiction .net. But now I've been working on a new one that's way better lol. Also I never made art of my old one. Anyways! My new guy Erik Vernon:

I made him a different type of vampire than the lost boys and Max. He was sired by a pack of vampires in Monterey (approx. 30ish miles south of Santa Carla) that can transform into these bat monster things. And while most of them are less than 25ish pounds as a bat monster, he is 5500ibs... He's MASSIVE.

He's very self conscious about it, but obviously he can't control his size. I'm still working through the details of this vampiric breed to keep him from being too OP. But some things I've worked out so far is:

They cannot see at all in sunlight, and have severely limited vision in bright spaces (rip ever going into any supermarket). Erik always has sunglasses on him, but they rarely help.

They do have an echo location ability for when they are blind, but Erik prefers to also have a companion guide him when possible

Their fangs are non-retractable. They are constantly present, and it is a clear way to out them as being vampires. They have both top and bottom honed canines

They take a while to heal, unlike most vampires. But they are a pain in the ass to kill.

Larger ones cannot fly very well... they can glide though. To fly, they'd need a running start or to get speed by falling.

The large ones are prone to starving to death. They need to eat 6-8% of their bodyweight a day. So in Erik's case, he needs around 440ibs of meat per day :') not including the fact that his vampire self also needs to drink blood! So... he's hungry 24/7.

They aren't very strong as just vampires (not being in their bat/monster form). They have the same strength and abilities as they did as a human.

They have no mind powers or ability to talk telepathically.

They purr. Erik's monster form is MASSIVE and his purring is VERY loud. Everyone will hear it. It's a deep and throaty kind of sound, and is similar in pitch to his roaring, but more rumbled

He can roar, and it sounds like a mad angus bull specifically. Erik doesn't roar frequently, but he will if he's very mad or to scare someone off

Here's the size they're supposed to be that the rest of his OG pack was:

Each bat/monster varies a little per person. But none are as large as Erik. It made it hard for him to fit in with his pack, but they liked having a massive beast around in the event of a fight. I'm still working through his backstory before he ends up in Santa Carla. His OG pack is essentially killed and he goes to Santa Carla to avoid being hunted. He and David don't get along well, so he lives with Max at his house until the two can come to some mutual terms. David is too touchy and aggressive for Erik, and while Erik cannot overpower him as a human/vampire, he can easily overpower him as a bat/monster. So David being... well, David, only targets him when Erik cannot transform to protect himself. The two fight constantly for months any time they come across one another. David's faster than both of Erik's forms, so he constantly taunts Erik. Somehow (I having worked out how or why yet) David backs off with his taunting and lets Erik finally become comfortable with the gang. I keep imagining how when it's time for bed the boys hang upside down and Erik sprawls out on the cave floor below as his monster self and blocks the entrance from any intruders. Also even though Erik's monster form is huge, he's relatively short. He's 5'6", so just an inch shorter than Marko. He also loves to dye his hair, so it can be any color at any point in time. But he's naturally strawberry blonde.

Anyways, a lot to think about on my end! I haven't even started writing his story, just traits for his vampiric breed so I can have it logged somewhere.

Lady Susan Readthrough Letters 21&22

Summary: Frederica writes to Reginald in desperation and asks him to help her. She hates Sir James and wants him gone. She wants him to convince her mother to send Sir James away.

Lady Susan writes a rage-filled letter to Alicia. She is angry that Sir James came to Churchill. She was hoping to marry off Frederica soon to keep Reginald safe from her. Frederica was forbidden from talking to her uncle or aunt about the match, hence why she wrote to Reginald.

Lady Susan cannot understand how Reginald could ever believe Frederica over her, this is no proof of love! Lady Susan is trying to calm down before seeing her daughter.
