Hi. I am adult human who uses this space to write my own slice of life stuff in the midst of reblogging all kinds of whatnot. I have children (a mix of teens and adults as of this writing). They know I have this blog. They actively avoid and block it so I can have this space as my own.

It is one of the kindest, most loving things they can do in this constantly online hyper connected world. They’ve given me the digital version of a room of my own and I love it. had a banger day!!! stopped by the headland without expecting to see much, but ended up staying longer than planned because the strong winds forced seabirds close to shore. got literal thousands of manx shearwaters, over 100 storm petrels, a flock of arctic terns & a GREAT SKUA!!!! (aka the best bird)

the petrels were so close to shore that you could see them without binoculars!! skua was further out but had it nicely in the spotting scope. my dad & i might go down to our favourite seawatching headland tomorrow since the wind is good for it! birders in the south of the country are getting good stuff so worth a shot

i decided to engage in psychological warfare by spam rbing mewto ‘dick city’ queuing it for months probably years

now mewto and vix are queuing each others post to post daily and multiple times

i’m saying this as someone who has queued for shows in europe before and has benefitted from the privilege of being able to show up early and do a night or two but the double and triple camping for the hslot shows has genuinely and completely gotten out of hand ???

since when is restarting lines once the previous show is over or getting in line after the people who are already queuing for the next show not the done thing anymore but instead it’s people who are doing two or three nights in a row giving themselves numbers for every single night once they have arrived ?? you can’t line up for three shows at the same time because you are not able to physically be in three different lines at the same time ? especially since you are usually moved to form the official queues in the early mornings so you are leaving the line for an entire day ...

and i do understand that there has always been an aspect of camping that seems unfair - but it definitely does seem absurd to me that those people are inside the venues having the time of their lives enjoy the show at barricade while everyone else lining up has to sit outside or that the people having tickets to n2 or n3 exclusively have no real chance at being close anymore even IF they choose to line up early ? everything about this seems so utterly absurd to me ..
