Dc x Dp Prompt #6

“I’m a twin”, Damian said one night. He could feel the narrowed eyes of his family drilling holes on his back in disbelief. Not that he could blame them. Damian had never so much as implied being raised with a companion, much less a sibling.

“I had a brother”. Damian paused to recollect himself. He had not said his brother’s name out loud in over 8 years.

“His name was… Danyal”. Damian hated the way his voice wavered, but he could not help it. Danyal was everything to him, his other half. Their heart beat as one and when one heart stopped beating, the other one died with it. At least until his family put his heart on metaphorical life support without ever realizing.

“Where is he now?” His father asked, voice filled with knowing grief and a hint of betrayal. It had in fact been 6 years since Damian first showed up on his doorstep.

“Up there”. All eyes shifted towards the specific star he was pointing to. “Right before he died, he promised me he’d guide me from the stars. Unfortunately, the stars are not visible in Gotham, so my brother is unable to be of much help unless I leave the city.”

“Your brother is Polaris, the North Star?” Tim questioned warily, most likely in attempts to not offend him. Damian was aware of how stupid it sounded, but Danyal had promised, and his brother never broke his promises.

“Yes. Danyal is with the stars now, just as he always wanted”

So would it be safe to say the Kinger of your au in terms of fighting abilities is similar to something like a heavyweight boxer? Mostly asking this going off his design

Safe to say yup!! He opts for close combat and throwing his weight around, not overly worried about getting hurt because he knows he can handle it. His fists are his weapon of choice thanks to his knuckle braces but he also packs a strong kick (courtesy of Gangle vouching about how strong they can be), and he can lift heavy things to throw or use as makeshift weaponry.

Out of curiosity why do you bow before eating?

"It's a sign of respect."

For the temporary relief it gives, you realize it really is not worth it. To kill for sport, it makes my stomach turn - a sad waste of life. Just because I can, doesn't mean I should. Cruel thoughts are the domain of a scared animal. I don't want to live in suffering because of such fear, and most of all I don't want my family to think less of me. Does that make sense? I wouldn’t want to disappoint them, or lose their trust…"

Most of the creatures out there have it considerably worse than me, trying to survive nature day by day. I've been blessed with a mark, I know things that a typical slugcat would never need in their life. I don't think I can ever go back - knowledge, like my «powers», are both a blessing and a curse. And, dare I say, I think it is better that I have those powers… for I know, at the very least, that I trust myself to use them wisely."

Hi, this is a bit long, but I was just wondering if you would consider posting a thingamajig about a ‘Jason’s attack on titans tower’ AU where Jason says something like “You took my place, took my family, and took my hero name. You’re nothing but a worthless replacement” And Tim is just like “Yea, I thought that was fucking obvious? Did you really have to rub it in though? Also no, you misunderstand, I’m not part of your family in any way shape or form.”

He has that mentality now because in this one Bruce is just really non-communicative with Tim and distant, to the point where Tim has not even a hint of a thought anymore that Bruce might even care a tiny bit. Well Bruce does care, but he’s just so fucking terrible with emotions and worried about Tim’s boundaries that he comes off as not wanting anything to do with him.

Yes. 100%. I'll get to the TT attack in a sec, but what I think would be hilarious is if we had Bruce's POV.

Bruce is researching wikihow guides and reddit posts for how to be a good mentor. He's "spending time" with Tim by patrolling and training him. He's "reassuring him" by giving shoulder pats and "meaningful" eye contact. He's expressing content with Tim by saying "good job" after missions or saying, "You're doing well for someone at your skill level."

Bruce is out here checking off all these boxes for "good parenting," and Tim is thinking that Bruce doesn't approve nor want Tim, only Robin.

So we get Bruce's POV, and then we get Tim's at the Tower. Jason is attacking Tim and Tim is all like, "the fuck you trying to do stating these words as if it's new information? Of course Bruce only sees me as a soldier and replacement."

Jason, in this AU, gets hella confused and concerned. We then get the stereotypical trope of Jason trying to adopt Tim.

Key word there: "trying"

Jason's all like, "I'm your brother. I'll be here for you."

Tim is one, absolutely not on board. Two, thinking this is a weird form of manipulation (since Jason tried attacking him first). And three, just straight up misunderstanding Jason.

Jason also keeps trying to attack Bruce, which isn't helping anybody.

Eventually, Dick ends up getting involved. Both Bruce and Jason are astonished when Dick walks up to Tim and says, "You're my little brother," and Tim accepts those words as is.

Waterpark au Sun and Moon now in color!!!

I still need to finish their ref sheets for art-fight but I’m so so happy to finally have them colored!

Moon’s platings are colored and textured to mimic wood grains, over that he is “painted” with varying tones of blues and teals.

Sun’s platings resemble painted Aztec stone with vibrant cool and warm colors, some of the “stone” remains bare.

Up close, guests can see that both animatronics designs have intentional weathering to really sell their imagined materials.

Felt like some simple painting today

One of the very first lu fanfictions I wrote (which is posted exactly nowhere and never will be) was a darksverse. It was a lot of fun to come up with! Dark Sky is Depth, and one of his big freaky traits was an awful-sounding voice :)
