rewatched key scenes from oshi no ko and now im in pain
#i LOVE love love the writing in this story its SO GOOD#all the themes and char development tying together#the way kana's trauma factored into akane's entire literal childhood and adolescene is crazy#the way akane's trauma melds with that one interaction she had w aqua as a child#sorry i mean kana#and also the way kana's star quality reflects ai's#and also the way akane's does too but. in a different way#like grrrr everything is intertwined everything works together even tho every char is on their own individual trajectory#w their own inner worlds and concerns and goals#and also the way aqua and ruby's development waxed and wanes SO well like theyve changes SO much but in such believable and well set-up ways#like aqua at ep 1 and aqua in s2 and aqua at chap 162 are at such different stages#in the processing of his grief#and it changes from anger to defeat to anger to acceptance to anger sort of again but also some acceptance and#waahhhhhh......#aqua.........

actually all this talk about sebek or silver fighting against malleus makes me sad akdhkhwod because if you think about it its the very thing that lilia was trying to avoid happening... a conflict between faes and human yk 😭
on another thought, i cant entirely blame malleus, the reason for his overblot is an effect of how dark faes are treated by the other species, feared, excluded, and labelled as strange and too powerful to be even considered as equals/be treated normally.
i think its ironic that the person who should've embraced that reputation is their ruler but he's the first one to feel that it isnt right, i think its been implied by now that human morals like shouldn't be applicable to faes as they have vastly different morals but when consider malleus, hes actually alot more humane based on his what he wishes (a friend, to be invited, have fun) but ig thats what sets him and meleanor apart....
sebeks personality says enough about how dark faes naturally think of themselves: because theyre so powerful and superior, its natural for them to be alone, but all that power leads to loneliness... as what was implied in Book 7.1 where Yuu asks Malleus if the Thorn Fairy (or rather Malleus) was lonely after years of exclusion...
also i want book 7 to reveal why levan, an assumedly dark fae, was desperately trying to make peace between humans and faes, even at the cost of (accidentally) endangering briar land--- (i think briar land lost at the human fae war bcs theyve weakened their defenses against silver owls😭)
maybe Levan's mission isnt just a general "faes and humans should get along"--- as we know, faes and humans DO get along but its only the "light faes" that humans accept (i.e knight of dawn and the 3 good fairies), but their treatment and view with the dark faes is that theyre villainous and should be defeated bcs apparently they're terrifying (implied in lilia's dream)
(even though silver owls was the first to offend them kshdkwj i truly think there was a time that silver owls and briar were "at peace," as henry says he first met meleanor and saw princess glow during a visit (?) at meleanor's castle)
so maybe Levan's actual mission isnt "humans and faes should get along" but rather "for dark faes to be accepted and treated kindly",
plus its makes more sense to center his ideals on dark faes- as we know that Meleanor hates humans and he's her wife so---for now, i dont think she'll approve of a plan that "caters to humans" but she could consider a plan that could give "dark faes more acceptance to the world" so they could be safe
idk where this word vomit is going lol this is just a simple interpretation but i think its just saddening that dark faes are making an effort in understanding humans yet the humans barely make effort to understand faes,,,
there are exceptions like silver and yuu, yet whenever they express their thoughts to others that (their) dark faes are "kind", they get shrugged off 💀💀💀
but ig the conflict never ends until one makes amends lol (sobbing about what mrs zigvolt and lilia endured just to believe in their dream that humans and dark faes can love one another djkdj)
(((i was just wishing twst wouldn't go all out in writing malleus as the “evil overblot villain that must eradicated” then boom a little essay about the profound relationship between dark faes vs other species lol (its the malleus apologist in me guys😭😭)))

Prelims, Vote 1 of 8
The top 4 finales will move on to be included in the main bracket
Propaganda is under the cut, may include spoilers
Agent Carter - 2.10 Hollywood Ending
Just as Peggysous became canon, just as Jack is about to start his redemption arc, they cancelled the show and left all of us on a massive cliffhanger for, let's see, almost 8 years at this point. We need ANSWERS.
Daybreak - 1.10 FWASH-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
It was written as a cliffhanger for a second season that would never come, but it just felt flat. The one objective that our leading lad (Josh) had been chasing (saving Sam) was rendered pointless, because the moment the big bad was defeated she effectively declared herself the new big bad and everyone who wasn't a major character went 'hmmm, okay!' And accepted it! They didn't even address this all that well, just ended with a shot of the MCs looking shocked.
Doctor Who - 12.10 The Timeless Children
this finale is shit!! absolute ass! nothing happens in it for it to justify having such a cool name. the master captures the doctor, shows her a slideshow that amounts to ‘‘you’re adopted!! :)" doctor breaks out of her matrix prison thing by overloading it with memories when the matrix is The Supercomputer and it’s used to hold all memories of all time lords ever? you know, the species whove been doing their thing for a billion years and live up to 10,000 years? the doctors new memories should either already be there or make nary a dent in it. the doctor’s like ‘‘why would they do that! why would they lie?’’ girl they have been lying to you since forever. they killed you once. theyve tried to kill you so many times. they turned you into a fucked up anti time monster that one time. one of the doctors past past selves even told her it doesnt really matter!! what was even the point
Loki - 1.06 For All Time. Always.
The series was going downhill past Episode 3 tbh, but it really just was a load of crap only interested in setting up the multiverse
Tales of Arcadia - Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans
This finale undoes everything the show worked for. In order to give itself stakes it kills off a few characters, but in a way that only indirectly impacts the MCs (such as Jim's Mom's fiancé getting killed). Then, at the end of the special, the main character uses time travel to go back to the start of S1E01 and changed history so he never becomes the trollhunter. Instead he makes his next friend the trollhunter instead. In terms of anticipation it was not at all what anyone was anticipating. (I had assumed he'd go to the start of the special and defeat the titans without any casualties). Having undone time only he remembers the previous timestream and he makes no effort to engage with it outside of accepting his changeling principal far sooner.
Ted Lasso - 3.12 So Long, Farewell
This trash ass finale undid three seasons of character development for every single person involved (except Nate!). A long-distance parent returned "home" despite having no attachments besides his child and leaving behind his entire found family, an abused and neglected woman was left behind by the person who taught her she didn't deserve abuse and neglect, and two characters who spent the whole show learning to cooperate and care for each other got into a fistfight over the girl they both dated.
Torchwood - 3.05 Day Five
No propaganda submitted

kung fu panda 4 review - spoiler free
it was solid, not as good as the first three movies, but the og triology set the bar so high even a 'not as good' movie is still a fun watch. The animation is beautiful and you get quite a bunch of awesome action scenes out of it
zhen is a lot more likable when not voiced by awkwafina (croatian dub saved me ✊️) but even that wont save her from her character being pretty bland. ironically the same criticism for her design could be applied for her character as well, not bad, likable enough, just fails to stand out and ive seen it done better a lot of times already
chameleon... oh boy... so much potential, such incredible built up, such luckluster execution... ill talk more abt her in spoiler section, but honestly she was the weakest link of the movie
dont get your hopes up for furious five, they only really exist as a cameo, what you will get is mr ping and li being a very married couple and personally if theres anything worth seeing the movie for its them (still im hoping for at least a short abt the furious five, cmon theyve been non existent since kfp 3)
the pacing was too fast, and there were too many comedic and too little serious moments, glad im not the only one that noticed
ive seen a lot of complaints about tai lung and other past villains not being in the movie enough, but honestly im happy for that bc its not their movie, they all had their own movies to shine and i really feared this movie would rely too much on them to carry the hype and im glad that wasnt the case. PLEASE stop asking film studios to spoonfeed you familiar content
end of spoiler free review, spoilers under cut
the chameleon rant
you know, i believe the kfp movies are heavily carried by their villains. they're the ones that set the tone, bring the stakes, and not only are they a foe for po to defeat but represent his internal conflict (tai lung being self acceptance, shen being overcoming grief and kai being self discovery) so to have the villain be the movie's weakest spot is... not great at all
firsty, the chameleon is the first movie villain in the franchise to not have any beef with any of the main characters (like tai lung had with shifu, lord shen with po and kai with oogway) and that couldve been great, give us a villain that doesnt care about po or anyone else and is just doing their own thing, its something new and an unexplored territory, but then they do nothing with it.
what does she want? to rule the valley of peace? all of china? ok and then what? the city shes already rulling doesnt look like its doing too bad to me. why should i care about her being defeated? yeah shes mean, but where are the STAKES
and how does she reflect po's conflict? because its about accepting change and she's a chameleon? weak, that only connect on paper and only barely. is it how she was never accepted to train kung fu because of her size? that's such a lame motive. really? not a single kung fu place wanted to take you in for your size? in a franchise full of all the different characters of all different shapes and sizes being kung fu masters? yeah ok sure
what i did like about her is how they made her get her way through manipulation and intimidation. she's not strong, she's not a skilled fighter, she's not inherently scary, but she uses smoke and mirrors to intimidate people around her and manipulative tactics to get her henchmen to listen which ties nicely into her shapeshifting abilities, just wish theyve done more with it, show us how she spreads horror stories about herself, show us the influence she has over the townspeople, show us just how manipulative she is of zhen, hell have her be all kind and nice to her in moments to bait her to stay under her wing (yk as abusive parents do)
nothing much more i have to say so spoiler part was rly just abt the chameleon but i needed to rant abt her more in depth bc i had high hopes for her

I had to quit miraculous awhile ago but at one point I was interested. Pray tell, has there been an identity reveal that didn’t get undone by amnesia/time travel/weird plot contrivance, yet?
listen, i wish i had that self control. i dont like miraculous. though i do appreciate some of the pros of the show (the diversity, for instance, is something i respect, especially being produced in france which [from what ive heard from a good friend from france i went to college with] isnt as progressive with lgbt+ as canada or parts of the USA), the main thing i have always, and will always have issue with, is the writing.
so, putting this under read more in case people dont want spoilers
so, to condense my internal rants -- no, theres no identity reveal. i thought i heard something or other about that, but no, theres no chat noir/ladybug identity reveal. there IS, however, a ladybug/HAWKMOTH identity reveal. without chat noir present.
chat noir is written out of most of the finale.
oh! also, hawkmoth won. he just straight up won. he got what he wanted.
in the episode preceding the two parter, there is a large build up between adrien and his dad, who self akumatizes again (wowzers!), and as they fight they argue about parenting. adrien knows he's yelling at his dad, but gabriel doesnt -- something i assumed was a build up to a final hawkmoth/chat noir showdown, something of that nature. but nope! it seems like that episode was the product of the shows worth of adrien vs gabriel tension. and its severely disappointing.
also, they confirm that felix is a sentimonster-- cool. they imply adrien is also one, which is less cool. just say it. its season 5.
this entire season has been, and continues to be, build up-build up-build up, which coalesces into a two parter that cuts one of the main characters, brings in characters from the movies (which i didnt even see, so i had no idea who the hell these people were, randomly showing up and fighting the villains), and an even more batshit insane scheme that usual. chloe becomes temporary mayor (???? shes like 14? or 15? however old theyre supposed to be anyway) in one episode, then the alliance rings are used to like, hypnotize everyone? its so fucking confusing. kagami and adrien are quite sincerely, by definition kidnapped by their parents too. but their parents did it to keep them safe!! (and then kagami and adrien were still affected by the akuma attacks/hypnotism/etc, so....)
i think the worst part is that hawkmoth actually won. he summoned god (NO EXAGGERATION.) and sacrificed himself to bring emilie back.... which brings up a ton of questions. my main ones being; what the fuck? did he rewrite time? did she just wake up from the coma? what happened to gabriel? did everyone just accept that adriens mom is back? did no one question this sudden switch?
obviously, in this little end-montage, they explain that gabriel 'helped defeat hawkmoth with ladybug', and he gets a statue in his honour, and adrien, quite literally says, i dont think i can ever be like him (or a line to that effect, if my memory's correct). and thats such a slap in the face.
its... stupid. it really is. i feel unsatisfied, and frankly, duped. i had always thought that it would be a final showdown between ladybug, chat noir and hawkmoth. where we could see the parallels between gabriel/emelie and adrien/marinette -- this is stuff i was expecting as soon as it was revealed that gabriel had emelie creepily in his basement. i was expecting a happy ending, obviously (its a kids show), but one that was hard earned. no one got that. no arcs were completed, or at the very least, completed well.
felix and kagami get together. ??? why? felix is also an ally now. why? chloe seems to be out of the picture, and lila now holds the butterfly miraculous.
like, i cant even lie. i made superhero ocs based off of how angry i am at this show. because i genuinely feel i can do better. i think most people could do better, because theyve ignored integral parts of the hero's journey. hell, it's barely a journey to begin with.
i think i mostly watch it now still, because i hopped on the train back when season 2 first aired, when i was in elementary school. im a god damn college drop out now! if this doesnt prove the time invested = loyalty theory, then i dont know what does

also like. i think its very fair to be horrified at the state of the world and how we treat each other, god knows i am, but something i was talking to a friend awhile back about is that its also..... kinda amazing that weve even gotten this far and that we care in the first place u know?
like. throughout most of history people have been warring w each other, tribal wars, wars between kingdoms etc. genocide and war and colonialism aint some sort of ordeal invented by the evil white man it is massive massive amounts of human history. war, genocide, sieges, famines, ethnic clensing, fighting over land and resources, taking peoples over, ruling over them, enslaving defeated ppl and assimilating them, and anyone whose looked at world history can tell u that. this has happened a million times throughout history all over the planet.... and while i am certain there were people who opposed, i also doubt many ancient societies were having Widespread discourse about how oh man were living on the land of the ppl we killed isnt this kinda fucked? or like oh man we took over these ppl, isnt that kinda fucked actually? hey,, maybe we shouldnt do this?
.... or like. slavery. which has existed for thousands upon thousands of years. and certainly, there were people who opposed to it, and there were slave revolts, and plenty of other stuff.. but it went on legally and socially accepted in vast parts of the world for thousands, upon thousands of years. hell, many times ppl who would complain abt being enslaved themselves were also enslaving...... and like..., to an extent its kinda amazing that today we live in a world in which socially, many ppl no longer agree with it. they care about it. they feel bad about it, they feel bad about what has happened?? ?? like generally speaking while yes slavery is numbers wise a worse issue than ever,, most random ppl living their lives today aint for it?????
. or like. racism, ethnic hatred, and tribalism. which has existed everywhere in different forms on this planet. and sure, theres always been ppl who opposed it, its also been very normal in a lot of the world in some form since forever....... and yet would u look at that, there Are So many people today who maybe they aint perfect cuz noone is, but they wanna be better. they care, theyre trying
..... or like... a million other things... and again its like yea, obviously, theres so much shit today happening which is just horrible and at times at a larger scale and worse than in the past......... but.... if one takes a look at history and the human psyche throughout it....... i think my friend was right when he said, its kinda miraculous weve even gotten to where we are now really. we expect so much of each other and everyone, but god damn in the context of everything,,,, in some ways, we aint doing too bad. those in power are doing the same shit theyve always done just on a globalized scale with weapons of mass destruction and more ways to exploit....... but... More Random People probably care than ever

finished my rewatch of ATLA and LoK and here's my takeaways this time:
• Actually it makes perfect sense that Toph and Aang would grow up to be bad parents. The entire Aang Gang was basically parentless! Zuko and Toph both had parents but they were abusive (Toph's being too strict and Zuko's, well, you know), and Katara and Sokka had one dead parent and one that went off to war when they were little. Aang outright had no regular familial structure, but even the family he had was lost to him when he was frozen. Add on top the horrendous traumas they all experienced and being thrust into celebrity status, and of COURSE they'd have flaws in parenting! I get that we want to reject it because we love these characters and they're caring, but caring alone does not a good parent make.
• However, Toph becoming a cop makes ZERO sense! She was SERIOUSLY anti-rules the entire first series! It would have been much more believable if she'd ended up inventing pro-bending. Also she woulda come out as trans and become a big buff dude, but obviously there was no way they coulda gotten away with that. Still, they could have at LEAST made her not a cop!
• Zuko's arc is 90% of what makes ATLA the great story it is! Its incredible how perfectly his story mirrors Aang's, and how the two of them slowly begin to accept the other. They're both trying to reclaim something they feel they've lost, and they both must confront their pasts to do it. Its a shame that it happens off-screen, but the fact that LoK confirms that Aang and Zuko became best friends eventually made me so happy.
• The plot writing in LoK was KINDA terrible! They covered it up with good character writing and of course flashy bending sequences, but Season One was a mess and Unavattu was only defeated by a bunch of deus ex machinas. I could go on! Not the worst writing but after rewatching ATLA it really is a step down in that department
• Also, the first-series cameos were a BIT gimmicky by the end! I'd say that in particular, Zuko and Iroh (the original Iroh not the general of the united forces Iroh) were unnecessary to still be around. Both of their roles could have been completed by other characters easily. Toph made sense, as did Katara, and flashbacks to Sokka and Aang, but Iroh should have died peacefully in his tea shop instead of going to the spirit world, and Zuko should have died peacefully after fixing the Fire Nation's problems.
• The number of characters who show up regularly in LoK are about double the number of characters that show up in ATLA. I think that might be why the character arcs for so many (cough cough Mako) are so unsatisfying, theyve got too many character arcs to complete.
• The mech-suits were EYE-ROLLINGLY cheesy. Sorry, I know its a nerdy nitpick I just think that if everything else is 1920's-1940's style technology, having something thats completely not doable by modern standards just kinda breaks the world for me a bit.
• I know I know, they were limited by the executives and breaking new ground, but the Korrasami ending was REALLY underwhelming compared to subsequent examples! They LITERALLY just hold hands to hint at it. Still important that it happened, but wow, how far we've come, you know?
• The politics of LoK were so very clearly neoliberal centrist its EXTREMELY eye-rolling. Cops are treated like superheroes instead of oppressors, and those who do call them that are shown to be villains. Amon and Zaheer are both VERY CLEARLY shown to be right about their respective ideologies, but are made into villains by having them be wildly zealous, and their ideologies are never really defeated. And neither of them are treated with compassion, yet Kuvira, the fascist dictator with an atomic bomb-analog, DOES. Exactly like centrists who think we should be nice to cryptofash conservatives but treat anyone seeking a more equitable world as monsters.
At least, those are my takeaways this time. Admittedly I was watching while working on homework 90% of the time so i may have missed key moments which change this all, but gosh it was overall a little underwhelming of a rewatch for LoK! For ATLA though it was like revisiting a bunch of old friends.

what do the others think about death then
finally woken up enough to answer this Cracks fingers leans back spine crackling cricks neck etc etc
in a generalized sense, the two major religions (one far more popular than the other) both feature reincarnation as a major theme. one focused on the mythical ouroboros and infinity and the other on mysticism and fantasy. the first believes in a very buddhist manner that upon death you will be reincarnated depending on your behaviors in your current life BUT is less about endlessly moving forwards and trying to climb up the ladder and more so framed as setting up a good life for the 'new' you as if they were a separate person that youre giving gifts to and being kind. you want to be a good person now so that someone else can enjoy a good home or thoughtful friends. to be nice. thus, death is less drear, easier to accept as the ending of one being leading into the beginning of a new one. the secondary religion is far less popular and focuses on fantastical beings (mythological creatures) as angels. that upon death a horse might reincarnate into a unicorn or pegasus or a bird might reincarnate into a phoenix and all that, provided you do the right things, on a different plane. i guess in the same way you could technically call going to heaven 'reincarnation' in the form of an angel. this too allows for death to be less depressing in the sense that you hope theyve gone to and become what they yearned for.
MAX: his beliefs on death are a massive part of the story given he is extremely against either major belief. he hates change and ending, he is horrified at the thought that you can "live on" without anything that you once were thus defeating the purpose; the actionable you has still died. thus throughout the length of the comic he goes super insane working around these beliefs, slapdash making his own errant constructs for how he hopes mortals should morph to avoid death. a massive important part of the story, the main Thing is that hes massively disrespectful to a certain dead body and worships its decay instead of letting it lay in rest or be known by those who it would matter to. generally does not react appropriately (concerned, distraught) towards death, if anything hes so awkward and stilted he might laugh (real big live leak enjoyer type vibe on this guy), he just hates thinking about his own (or ezras) death.
SARAH: sarah heavily believes in the first mentioned massive religion; her infinity necklace is a symbol of said religion. she is a popular girl but shes really not mean, shes actually very nice and charitable and she highly values the major motifs of helping others. the point i guess isnt to help yourself in your future life, its just a nice add on. she hopes when she reincarnates that even though shed have a good nice life in her new world, shed still fight to help others. she doesnt hope that she is raised in a wealthy household or naturally beautiful or charismatic, but instead that her 'good' life would be to have enough struggle to motivate her to care.
EMILY: she focuses too much on the here and now and actionable present to lock in to thinking about big futures or concepts like the above. shed thought and accepted personally that as far as she cares the current her will die and descend into nothing but darkness (Whether the soul then goes further on doesnt really matter to her if the memory does not remain); when faced with the (apparent) death of her best friend she finds she has not done enough to accept or cope with the concept of death and is fundamentally unable to properly move through grief, unwilling to let go of sarah and continuing to drag her dead weight forward with her. (her design will get a redesign, she needs a memorial tattoo of some sort for sarah) she in fact reacts violently and aggressively to anyone who does successfully manage to cope or avoids the trauma of being near someone who had died (this leads to her aggressively bullying max and ezra, who continue to go out and play despite the happenings)
ZOE: still ironing her whole thing out but she generally doesnt like any organization or being directed in thought so is divorced from major religion but takes bits and pieces for her own personal beliefs. i think she wants it to stop after her time is up and hopes that in some way she will live on to become a scary creature. heaven for zoe is being a wolf ripping apart rabbits or something. she likes when life is simple.

uhh up to ch177 lines again
Noa: Captain… Are you sure about this? Are you okay with enduring this sort of tragedy as long as it means saving the world? Choice 1: No, I'm not. Vyrn: That goes for all of us. Losin' friends is a tough pill to swallow. But… everybody who died is gone. There's nothin' we can do… Choice 2: We just have to accept it. Lyria: We're not the only ones who suffered in this battle. But everyone was trying to move on. Even if it meant turning away from reality or hiding their true feelings.
gah.....
Loki: I have to ask… Do you genuinely think it's right to do something like that? Let's say someone dies of an illness. It's obviously a heartbreaking thing. You could even call it a tragedy. But is it really okay to bring them back to life on a whim? You know the answer, but you're choosing to turn a blind eye. In the past, I have no doubt that you would have intervened to stop anyone who was trying to bend the laws of nature. So that no matter what tragedy they had faced, they could look to the future and live on. Loki's tone is genuine, without a hint of mockery. Loki: If you guys say you've changed, that's fine with me. I just want to know what you've got your sights set on for my own sake—so I can walk my own path.
Lyria: I tried to accept it at first too. I told myself that the dead don't come back—that's just how the world works. But if there's a way to make the impossible possible, whatever it is… Loki: You want to travel with your friends again, even if the world may not view your actions as "correct".
loki fan is still surprised we have arrived at a place where loki has this much screentime. anytime the loki parts are always on my mind. personally i rly like the direction of the ppl whos been helping the world going against the world, & that while the side thing of the broken sky Is concerning enough to look for a solution for anyway, theyre pretty obvious with the 'even if that wasnt a thing, we still wouldve done this'. like lokis 'I guess that was a pretty silly question, considering how many times you've come face-to-face with the world in crisis.' line........
but especially considering katalina asking them to travel for themself rather than the whims of the world. having this be their decision issssss auughhhhhhhh......running from the empire...defeating freesia.....having to leave phantagrande 1) cuz theyre wanted 2) they need to get to the next sky realm for the sky pieces anyway. and nalhegrande ends in falling to the bottom of the skies, and oarlyegrande has them swept up first in blf and then otherworld. something about the decision they make is to travel with their friends again. you know
anyway brief loki posting but the way he talks about having met beings similiar to current captain. gods born from beliefs. giving them forms as primal beasts. cuz i feel its been established loki wasnt a researcher? 'im as infamous as those researchers'. but byleistr is also the person who had access of akasha...................next update loki lore for sure. copium. ive waited for so long for them to piece together what theyve alrdy said about his past

i apologize in advance for the length of this reply lmao. anyways, warnings for transphobia and child abuse!!
ok so draco realizes hes a boy when hes nine, and the first thing he does is tell his parents what hes feeling. remember: he is only nine and hes very sheltered. he doesnt know trans people exist, nor does he know that being trans is considered a bad thing by many people. he just remembers that his parents (particularly his father) wished for a son not a daughter, and he thinks that maybe theyll be happy that they could finally have the son theyve always wanted.
anyways he sits his parents down to tell them and lets just say it doesnt go over very well with lucius. he hurts draco, calls him all sorts of names, and draco cries until he falls asleep. he wakes up a few hours later with his mother by his bedside, and shes obviously been crying for quite a while. he thinks shell support him but she basically just tells him that hes a malfoy and he has to conform for the sake of the family, that “this just isnt done,” that type of stuff. he decides then and there to shove all his feelings down and be who his parents want him to be.
now fast forward a few years to fourth year, the yule ball. draco and pansy get drunk together after the ball and long story short draco tells pansy hes a boy, but he makes her promise not to tell a soul. a week after that, harry comes to class in the girls uniform and announces that shes transgender, and its an immediate spectacle. this is when draco learns what being trans is, and when he learns that hes not alone.
his fellow slytherins immediately start bullying harry for being trans and draco feels a bit sick about it but pansy, being the darling that she is, threatens them all violently every time theyre transphobic. of course, they still make sly remarks when pansy isnt around, but draco refuses to partake in it and harry is very confused by this turn of events. she thought that her rival would have taken the opportunity to make fun of her for being trans, but instead her rival is simply accepting it. sure, draco is still a piece of shit towards her, but now instead of calling her “the boy who lived” as a taunt, he calls her “the girl who lived.” its very confusing for harry but its not like shes complaining.
from here, everything in canon happens exactly as it did including the war, except harry is now a girl and draco is presenting as one.
after voldemort is defeated and his father is put in azkaban, however, draco feels like a weight has lifted off his shoulders. he decides to transition despite what his mother says or thinks, and he starts training to become a healer (or, well, he tries, seeing as no one in the uk wants to teach an ex-death eater). meanwhile, harry left britain and started traveling the world as soon as the war was over. she wanted to experience living a normal life away from the fame and war and everything else.
its about a year after the war when draco applies to a healing academy in peru and is accepted. his mother, who still considers him to be her daughter even though hes been transitioning for like 8 months at this point, begs him not to move but he does and tells her that he needs a fresh start, and that honestly, being around her is exhausting when all she does is misgender and deadname him.
so he moves to peru and its there where the slow burn starts burning.
he sees her again at a peruvian queer wizarding bar. he panics at first bc he had no idea she was in peru, much less at that bar. he tries to leave but she sees him before he can and she instantly recognizes him despite the change in appearance.
at first she thinks that he might just be a butch lesbian or something (which wouldnt be very shocking, considering the rumors that had circulated in school about draco and pansy) but it quickly becomes very clear that hes a man. shes shocked but a lot of things from their childhood starts clicking into place and now everything makes sense. why he refused to misgender her, why he hated people calling him by his first name, etc.
after their first reunion, draco seriously debates quitting the academy and leaving peru. fortunately, a firecall with pansy slaps some sense into him and he stays, but hes determined to never cross paths with harry again. harry, however, has become intrigued by him and her draco obsession from sixth year comes back with full force. she finds out that hes studying at the academy and starts waiting for classes to end so she can talk to him, stuff that hermione and ron would tell her was insane (if she kept in touch with them, that is).
eventually, she wears draco down and they talk. she learns that he chose his name as a child because of the constellation myths that his mother would read to him at night. he learns that she kept her name because her parents gave her it and it felt like the one thing that was still hers, regardless of what the world said. she learns that draco had to learn how to brew his own transitioning potions when no healer would prescribe them to him after the war. he learns that harry had to wait to start taking her transitioning potions until the moment she turned seventeen because the dursleys refused to sign off on it.
they become close. theyre acquaintances, friends, maybe some unnamed third thing, but theyre them and thats good enough for them. harry drags draco out of his shell and he becomes bright and alive again for the first time since he was nine. draco learns that harry stopped writing to ron and hermione a few months after she left out of guilt and shame, and he urges her to reach out again.
eventually they kiss. its a sweet, innocent thing that just came naturally to draco, who had kissed harry before he left his flat for class when he saw her laying in his bed, sleepy and sun-kissed. from there the relationship deepens, and it almost feels like this is always where they were going to end up. they were always going to be draco and harry, harry and draco. and maybe thats just fate, maybe its love, or maybe its both. whatever it is, its beautiful and thats all that matters.
do any of yall wanna hear abt my slow burn t4t drarry au w/ trans guy draco and trans girl harry,,,,,

i am once again thinking about the differences in each POV in millennium saga and how their perceptions of each other and themselves are warped by their own misconceptions and how fun that particular conflicting information will be to write in gt
#the first most obvious one for me rn is like.#dusk can feel other peoples emotions right?#and so he can like... tell when people are expressing one emotion but actually feeling a completely different one#and that difference is most drastic wrt lakia#from gab's pov lakia is almost entirely unfazed by the mass death and world-ending disasters going on#and even like. making fucked up jokes that he sees as dismissive of the devastation#meanwhile. dusk pov. he can tell she is full on grieving and raging and damn near foaming at the mouth to do SOMETHING about whats happened#but shes not a healer so she cant do much#and shes also immensely frustrated that like. by all appearances no one is worried about The Villain anymore because she did one (1) thing#and theyve accepted defeat#and shes joking to try and get a smile out of the others with gallows humor and also to maybe get someone to start shit#so she can get out some of her energy with a fight#idk man im just. super excited for the depth of knowledge of other people and whats going on that dusk is gonna bring out#and how thats going to play into the other more emotional subplots as well#braindumps.txt

pt. 2.5 of the anakin swtor au
1 | 2 | 2.5
im gonna be honest i do not remember the canon timeline at all so im gonna skip to the second battle of odessan w vaylin, and early in the battle he manages to face her, alone.
he talks to her, but he quickly see just talking will not work. so he summons his inner obi-wan kenobi, and completely breaks her down. he uses everything he knows about her childhood, what senya and arcann have told him, what he gather based on her crazed ranting and anger, and he breaks down every last bit of her until theres nothing left, only a crying young woman on the forest floor. she still lashes out when he tries to come near, but it is not out of anger. he anger is gone and has left her axhausted more than anything. all thats left is fear, fear of whats to come, fear of her fathers wrath, and her mothers kindness. so he sits with her. she surenders he troops, the battle is over. he continues to sit with her.
later when they finally move, senya will see her daughter walking alongside anakin and she will cry. she approaches but is too afraid to move further. vaylin does nothing and is quickly led to the medbay to check injuries. the alliance is horribly confused.
anakin skywalker just managed to turn empress vaylin to their side.
vaylin does trust anyone except her brother, and even that is one a thin line. but she manages. anakin helps.
the emperor is still a problem. but they defeat him again because his entire family hates him.
anakin does take the throne. it doesnt feel right.
im probably still fucking up the timing of when everything happens but whatever
hes betrayed by theron. he desnt know how to feel, he just becomes a bit of a mess. the force is telling him this isnt right, something bigger is happening. he tries to tell lana at some point, but her look of pity is enough to make him close his mouth. when theron reaches out again, hes... hesitant, to say the least. he doesnt fully believe theron betrayed him but... he looked at him with such hatred in his eyes. what if he does hate anakin?
he doesnt, as he soon found out. the man he loved more than anything in the galaxy, fake betrayed him for a chance to stop the order of zildrog, without telling him. he understood it, sure, but that stop the anger from rising in him. he quickly releases it into the force, and sets his face to show no emotion he can feel theron guilt triple as soon as he does it, but he cant help but think he deserves it, just a little.
and theron goes and gets himself shishkebabed. what the fuck. ther isnt time for anger, hes already carrying theron back to the shuttle before lana can get a word in.
theron is healed eventually, and he proposes. anakin had already let go of his anger and forgave theron, and he accepts. their wedding is small, only a few people are there. but he really couldnt be happier.
of course, the war between the empire and republic is still going on, but he has a feeling it wont end anytime soon. over the next few years, the alliance slowly withdraws itself from the conflict. and eventually, it will be forgotten about completely.
he has not finished fighting, there is another war to finish. he tells his friend, his family this and they understand. they do not look sad however, because they will be going with him. anakin protests, its not their war. theyve done enough for the galaxy. but theron grbas his hands "do you really think we're gonna abandon you after all this? you cant rid of us that easy Ani" and if anakin cries a little bit, no one sys anything.
he doesnt need to be able to time travel for this one. with the help of dr. oggurobb, theyve developed statis pods that will last at least a few millennia.
3500 years later, a holocron in the jedi temple finally open and cathes the attention of the temple librarian, Jocasta nu, and requests a jedi by the name of obi-wan kenobi.

For Vigilante Bullies-- imagine if NOONE but their respective people (dilucs intel network, yelans underground network, ayatos connections) or at least their closest in those groups knew abt the whole vigilante thing-- like everyone who ISNT a part of the bully trio has no idea who tf any of them are. All thanks to yelans disguise expertise. And since noone knows who they are...
Imagine one day, kaeya is out patrolling mond. Its the usual song and dance, circle the inner walls, circle the outer walls, go back in to circle the inner parts of the city. And on that particular day, hes ambushed by fatui. Its not that he didnt expect this, I mean theyve holed up in the grand hotel for who knows how long at this point, but its just that-- hes alone. Hes surrounded. And by the looks of it, hes gonna have to fight his way out or die trying. And the latter is getting more likely every second he sends out a subtle signal to the knights and its not being accepted.
So he raises his sword and readies himself for the fight of his life. He swoops forward and-- fire. Lots of it. He stutters on his step as one of them, a betrayer he presumes, practically sets the lot of them on fire, defeating them with what could only be called a wieldable column of flame. The fight was over before it even started. He looks at this betrayer, having crushed their fatuus domino mask beneath their feet in the aftermath.
He tries to search for anything that would clue him in on who this is but this time, instead of the bright shock of red hair that would instantly blow his cover, kaeya is met with nothing but a white and gold full face mask, birdlike in his design. How intriguing.
"Thank you for the assistance, my strange and yet respected masked man but, I'm afraid vigilante justice is against the law." He raises his hands in what he hopes looks like a placating gesture. "And now, seeing as youve been a great help to me, I'd rightfully say I'm in your debt and wouldn't dare to double cross you behind you back. So, how about I offer you a position in the knights?" Kaeya is a little less than confident, having zero to no intel on this fellow but he hopes he could get them onto their side.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure you'll still be able to do this and with our support, you'll be provided with everything you need and more." He conveniently forgets to add that he can get to figure out who and what this persons deal is. A win win situation for both of them. He gives him a hand. "What do you say?"
The black clad figure brings his hand out of his coat. And before Kaeya’s smile gains an edge to it, the figure summons his catalyst, the Frostbearer he notes, and disappears in a warm icy mist. Thats alright, it was getting boring around here anyways.
The next time Kaeya is at the bar, Diluc wordlessly gives him a glass without pestering him for payment.
:))
Nyehehehehe catalyst diluc
Something about Diluc with a catalyst.
Oh boy, I also just imagine Diluc with like a wig too. I'm sure it would be hair with all his hair, but still. Imagine like a short dark haired wig. I don't know something about it.
And Diluc's catalyst being like Heizou's, and he's using fire and his fist.
Oh boy oh boy. My heart. I actually love the idea of all of them swapping weapons like Yelan takes up a sword and Ayato maybe a polearm.

i cant stop thinking of 236 and the more i think about it, the more i end up convincing myself there is something weird going on.
like why did sukuna not slice and dice gojo's head like is his regular MO? the peanut gallery even said that gojo regained his ability to use reverse cursed technique thanks to his black flash?(wait would that mean that gojo could have used infinite void again?) like, why would sukuna, the guy who has contingencies and plans and hot irons going for him to make sure he can not be defeated, not make sure his biggest threat is dead?
which leads me to believe that sukuna either is planning to take over gojos body after all or kenjaku will. really just depends on wether or not sukuna can keep using the people whose bodies he's eaten/taken over techniques. if he cant, i dont see him giving up on possessing megumi's body.
though, this all depends wether or not gojo will die and leave behind no cursed spirit. taking over gojo might be a plan, but we'll see.
honestly, i wouldnt put gojo's hallucinations being related to sukuna's cursed technique, since we still dont know how tf he capable of doing all these things?
and the whole "go south" thing. like wtf? like seeing your dead friends and loved ones before death is such a tired and true trope, i dont think anyone on this planet thought about gojo being on his way to the afterlife. yeah, i think he's in limbo as well in that chapter, but what i really dont understand is the guy who constantly went on about how he will mold the future and make way for it for the sake of his students would ever "go south"? imo if there is a character who represents the past and not letting go in this series it would be kenjaku. a very opposed characters to gojo and the entire ethos of the man.
like kenjaku wears the face of gojo's best friend who he killed, representing gojo's past. he is a over 1000 year old man who keeps on brain hopping from body to body. and he intents to bring back the "golden age of sorcery". yeah, if there is a character in the series that would "go south" it would be kenjaku. not gojo.
and lastly i want to point out more meta thing. i want to point out gege's habit of completely blindsiding readers with their tropes and twisting them in ways that NOBODY tends to see happening until after theyve already happened. a mentor/ace dying in the middle of the or just before final battle trope. it's just so neat and common trope that fits perfectly here. too perfectly.
anyway, my tldr is there is something suspicious going on with the 236 and i am coping instead of accepting that gojo satoru could be dead, after a sick ass several chapter fight sequence against king of curses.
bury me with my delusions
[25.09.23]
wild speculations and guess work on what’ll happen in JJK mostly gojo cause the last few chapters have focused on him and sukuna hard
1) gojo is gonna win, but sukuna is gonna pull some rules lawyering bullshit out of his ass and take over gojos body, somehow. forcing yuuji to kill gojo by eating him. you cant convince me gege doesnt dislike gojos ass enough to make him go out in the most humiliating way possible.
2) if we get more info on people’s previous lives, my guess is on gojo having been triplets. or twins with an extra eye on the forehead. both work.
2.5) also he propably remembers a previous life which is why he is so obsessed with yuuji. megumi as well, but but only as vague feelings. ie, why he asked gojo to save yuuji’s life in chapter 1
3) i am actually hoping megumi has just been biding his time inside his body to cause a scene in middle of the gojo/sukuna battle at some point

more james hcs guys i know everyone loves me and my headcanons cuz im awesome and amazing
idk if i said this last time but he does have OCD. everywhere he goes he brings a mini hand sanitizer container. one big issue he has is that if they don't get to finish their motto, it eats at him the rest of the day.
he has a poison blood type (something i might have to expand on in a different post one day), which means he has a godly immune system and a naturally high immunity to poisons, even those that are fatal to the average person.
his parents are georgio and eliza morgante. yes i know its a play on the name morgan to make it italian and its funny for that. anyways jojo fans if youre reading this i named him giorgio as a joke too. moving on, they own a tech company called morgantech cuz im good at naming and theyre rich for it. nobody knows james is the son of elon musk and grimes cuz they thought he was a failure of a son so they never made him public.
some of his stims include hand flapping, rocking, whistling, humming, singing, leg bouncing, and sucking on candy, which he somehow has handfulls of at all times
they also listen to music a lot. they like upbeat songs, pop, and stupid love songs. whatever the pokemon equivalent of glass animals is, well thats their favorite artists all time. they HATE classical music and certain classical songs are a goddamn trigger cuz his stupid bitch parents and their rich old southern aesthetic
on the music thing, they always have headphones with them cuz otherwise theyd deal with a shit ton of sensory overload
him and meowth are besties that talk about their feelings with eachother at 3am while jessie and wobbuffet snore obnoxiously loud in the other room
theyre booksmart yeah but if it has anything to do with math theyve already accepted defeat
ok actually in the last post i said they ran away at 15 but i changed it to 17 cuz the gap between then and joining team rocket was way too big and annoying to put together
they sleep in a LOT
they like writing. not books or anything but more like poems, which isnt much of a hc cuz he said so in that one oak episode. they also have a little diary like a stupid nerd.
loves sweet tea
one of their hyperfixations is old cartoons they were never allowed to watch as a kid, and they sit down and watch it with everyone and is the happiest loser alive
maybe ill do a quick indigo hearts bit too cuz i oughta do that sometime i guess
in my au that takes place a while after journeys, theyre 37. they live in da treehouse with jessie, jaime, meowth, wobbuffet, and all the other pokemon including bewear. irrelevant to anything but they've won alola's first coordinator contest thing. their pokemon team for the events in kanto is growlie (now an arcanine), hidoide, mime jr, and carnivine, though growlie is less so on the team and more like a ride pokemon that stays out of its pokeball. basically hes gay married with jessie and theyre all on a vacation in kanto with the twerps for ash's retry at the indigo league. hes like family to them anyways, all the twerps are. their friendship with brock is especially strong for many reasons, one of them being that brock also lives in alola and works at the pokemon center, and because of his close distance him and james often have lunch together and talk about nice things.
i do have more feel free to ask me cuz im always willing to go off due to being mentally deranged. thanks for watching and be sure to click that subscribe button cuz only 10% of people who watch my videos are subscribed. your mom your mom your mom and did i mention your mom
#team rocket#james#gancanons#pokemon indigo hearts#i meant to say a lot more than what was said in this post but my mind went blank while writing so um sorry to the fans
