2022 honestly had such amazing and interesting horror movies imo, I can't wait for next year

#X; Pearl; Bodies Bodies Bodies; Nope; Fresh were amazing and amongst some of my favourites in recent years #I'd also fully defend Terrifier 2; Smile and Loneliest Boy in the World as pretty good #I'd say they weren't as good but I still enjoyed all three of them #Scream 5 and Orphan: First Kill i was a bit more disappointed with #and I hated 2022 Texas Chainsaw #but idk overall i think this year had great horror #and I liked that there were quite different genres and vibes but they were all interesting and good and did well #and they were original!!!!#genuinely the worst of 2022 is the stuff that was a remake or prequel that felt unnecessary #Terrifier 2 is excluded from that since it's an indie movie basically and it's the same director #it's not trying to revive something from a decade or more ago #I liked that a lot #I still need to watch the barbarian bc that's the one main one I havent seen yet #also Halloween Kills but I havent heard anything good about it #oh also I know the Black Phone technically came out in 2021 but it only was shown in cinemas this year and that's another amazing one #I had such a great time watching Black Phone it's so good #god i wanna gush more about horror so badly it's such a good genre #i love it #im so sorry for basically writing an essay here #horror

"life doesnt get better, you just get stronger" does NOT include ages 11-17. life does in fact just get better from there. those years are dogshit. like, you do get stronger but its mostly just a factor of not being 11-17 anymore. positive thinking helps but it doesnt fix whatevers going on at 15, you have to brute force through that one raw

No shade to OP as a person but believe me, this is a sign that something is DEEPLY fucking broken. Like they announced ONE new IP out of like eight films. I genuinely think within the decade they're just gonna stop making original films all together. That's what they learned from Elemental and Wish, just don't make anything new if you can help it.

Like they've unironically turned into what people pretend Dreamworks is, a sequel mill. The real downside is that Dreamworks actually knows how to make a good sequel, Disney never really figured that one out, bar a couple of outliers, and I have no faith in them pulling any of these off. Absolutely soul-crushingly pathetic. Thank god other animation studios exist.

This is the saddest shit I've ever seen, truly.
