really wish i’d got new lenses for my ugly round glasses instead of my square ones now - i’m starting to like them

#me not wearing the glasses in the 12+ months i’ve had them #vs me the second i can’t wear them anymore #plus these ones were like 130 quid compared to my square ones being 20 #and they are so much comfier #also bad sign that i like round glasses now apparently #when i’ve also just bought another square pair that cost me 140 #i talk and its probably something weird

So, some time ago I tried to write an anthology of multiple oneshots about relationships with Mynahs. And upon opening the abandoned document I get greeted by this first paragraph:

... Well, I guess I failed, because I couldn't even finish one. I struggle with word order and expressing correctly my thoughts even when speaking in my native language, so I'm not surprised 😅

That being said, I like this opening bit for the Sieben x Beo one:

okay. watched a mythbusters episode where they tested scenes from star wars

they tested the tauntaun scene where han hides luke inside of one to keep him warm while he builds a shelter.

here i was thinking the ice planet hoth must be the most unimaginably cold place ever conceived, like physically impossible to even comprehend how cold it was

instead i find out that hoth is apparently canonically only as cold as a winter on the canadian prairies? roughly -30° to -60°C

so like yeah i get why it was so dangerous to get lost- but idk it kind of takes away from the excitement of that scene for me because it’s like, i’m so accustomed to those kinds of temperatures. fully aware that it’s so easy to die in that kind of weather but also. i do hour long dog walks in that. i go ice fishing in that. i went and got a haircut and wandered around the downtown of my city while we were colder than siberia lmao (it was -52°C i believe)

My Shinsou family headcanon is that he had a single mother who died in a vehicle accident when he was younger and while his own memories of her are somewhat faded, what he does know very starkly is that he was loved truly and deeply and he misses her every single day
