Showering Hyunjin with affection
Bang Chan; Lee Know; Changbin; Han; Felix; Seungmin; IN;
Summary: you just had to show your drama queen of a boyfriend how much you love him. word count:2.5k
Warning: lot's of kissing, reader is gender neutral, both of them are whipped, appearance of 3racha, predebut Han almost making an entrance, Hyunjin is drunk and a drama queen, overall soft stuff. Please tell me if I missed something
A/N- I'm back with another fic, this took me a while but I'm kinda really satisfied with it, I really hope you all like it. I will try to write the next part as soon as I can. I wanna finish these series as soon as I can, first of all because I'm all excited and can't wait, also I'm excited to try out new tropes, I was thinking of challenging one bed trope after this, with various different dynamics. The requests are open, if you want me to write something I'll gladly accept the challenge. Also feel free to share your thoughts with me, I absolutely adore interacting with y'all.
After sighing for the nth time you finally forced yourself to turn off the shitty netflix show you were watching to spend time. You had nothing to do and were bored out of your mind, but not to that context to sit through another minute of this. It was almost 3 am and any normal person would be asleep by now, but here you were wide awake, feeling nothing remotely close to sleepiness.
You sat up straight after laying for couple of hours and boy you regretted it. The dizzy spell you got was nothing to joke with, maybe you should check your iron levels. Also your poor muscles felt so sore you would surely feel all stiff tomorrow. Your back was killing you, and, not to be dramatic but, you would marry anyone on the spot if they managed to massage the knots out. It was safe to say, you desperately needed some good spa day.
Speaking of marriage and partners, you were curious on how Hyunjin was doing. Even a mere thought of your amazing boyfriend bought a smile to your face. You couldn't believe you two were actually dating after pining over him for so many years. You sure were lucky tho, to have a sweetheart like him as your boyfriend. Your one year annivercary was coming soon and you couldn't surprise wait to surprise him. You've been planning everything for weeks now and you made sure everything would be perfect. Well you had to share some of your plans with him, so that you could plan your day together but you still had major card up your sleeve and you were sure he would lose his mind when you showed it to him. Two days, you only had to wait for two days.
You couldn't help but sigh, you missed him so much. Even though you saw him two days ago it felt like centuries had passed. This boy made you feel so many so foreign emotions you were never sure you would get to or actually could experience. He always went above and beyond to make you feel like the most special and cherished person, and the fact that he also did so even before you two started dating each other. He was always so sweet and gentle with you. You always felt like a hero of a romance novel. Also you adored how being with him was so fun and exciting but at the same time bought peace to your heart and mind. You might be rushing into things but day by day, second by second you were convinced he was your soulmate, your other half.
A sudden buzzing of your phone startled you out of your daydream, you were curious who in their right mind was calling you at this hour.
Seeing the contact name had you even more confused. Why would Chan be calling you at 3 am? You knew the boys were out having fun night for themselves. Did something happen? You hoped he called you for other reasons, because it would really suck if their rare chance of having fun got ruined by something unplanned. You sure hoped everything was okay tho. Quickly as you could you grabbed your phone and answered it mentaly preparing yourself to hear anything Chan had to say.
Chan's call of your name bought you down to reality from another spiral of unnescesary thoughts.
"Hey Chan what's up?" You tried to sound as calm as you could.
Chan cleared his throat, "I'm sorry, did I wake you up?" You quickly denied it," no I'm awake, what's up? Is everything okay?"
Chan chuckled and it made you relax a little, so nothing bad had happened, "yeah, yeah everything's fine , nothing to worry about, it's just your boyfriend is getting a bit fussy." You couldn't help but mirror the last word, you heard Chan chuckle. "Yeah alcohol must've got to him. We were about to go home, but he refuses to cooperate. He says he wants to go at yours because he as he quotes "misses his baby so much he can't take it anymore!" He dragged the words mimicking your boyfriend, you couldn't help but chuckle.
"Where are you guys, I can come pick him up." You suggested while searching for your keys with your eyes.
"No, no it's okay, we can bring him at yours. Binnie and Han are with me too so I don't think it will be much trouble. I just couldn't knock some sense into him, I told him to call you but he said his phone died. At some point he even ran towards your house or that's what he thought I had to tackle him before he could get lost. I don't think he can tell left from right in this state" He paused for a second, you heard someone talking but you couldn't hear anything, " I'm getting off track sorry, so it's good to bring him at yours?" You were full on chuckling now, what a silly little man.
"Yeah, it's totally fine. I'm sorry he's being trouble."
"No it's fine, it's kinda endearing to see him this whipped. All he talked about was you and how amazing you are." Your cheeks hurt from smiling this wide, God, you loved that idiot. "Okay I won't bore you anymore, we'll be at yours soon."
"Okay I'm waiting."
After finishing the call you made sure you looked decent enough for your taste and that your apartment looked neat. You also prepared clothes for Hyunjin to change into from his drawer and some water and painkillers for tomorrow.
It didn't even take 20 minutes for the boys to arrive. The second you opened your door Hyunjin tackled you into a hug, almost knocking you over, thankfully Changbin and Chan caught you two before you could manage and break your necks. You giggled at your boyfriends eagerness, before frowning when you saw how swollen and red his eyes were. "What happened baby?" You cooed at him and moved his hair out of his face. Hyunjin sighed and hugged you again, hiding his face in the crook of your neck. You heard collective sigh of boys and turned your attention to them, looking at them with confused eyes, hoping they would tell you what was up.
Han decided to break the silence-"don't worry he was just bawling his eyes the whole ride, crying how amazing and perfect you were and how there is no one like you." He said and rolled his eyes, you huffed out a laugh, you knew he had nothing against you, but he must have had enough of this. Hyunjin frowned and glanced at him, his hold on you tightened, you were not sure if he felt possesive or just couldn't keep himself straight. "You're just bitter cuz you're single!" Hearing your boyfriends grumble Han's eyes widened and for a second you were afraid predebut Han would return. "Oh I'm gonna beat his ass!" Han leaned in but Changbin held him back by his collar, Changbins gaze then turned to you and you noticed how tired he seemed. "Good luck, he's your headache now."
Chan looked at you" Do you need any help with anything?" You smiled at him and shook your head. "I can handle him. Do you guys wanna come in tho? Do you want something to drink?" After hearing the last word you could see all three of them shiver.
"We're fine. It's late too we better head home." Chan reassured you after glancing at Changbin and Han for their opinion.
"Okay, thanks again for bringin him. Tell me when you're home, it's really late."
You said your goodbyes and turned to hyunjin who looked at you with dazed, sparkling eyes. "Let's get you settled pretty boy." You took his hand and started leading him towards your bedroom. Hyunjin eagerly followed you, you were amazed how pliant he was being, usually he loved being a brat but he must have been too tired now to act so.
After helping Hyunjin get ready for bed, you quickly got changed too and got in bed next to him. turning to him you noticed that he looked at you with wide eyes, nowhere near sleepy now. You leaned in and removed hair from his forehead, "I thought you were sleepy baby." Hyunjin looked at you for a second or two and opened his arms, "wanna cuddle." His words were slurred but you still got what he meant, you smiled and immediately snuggled next to him his arms finding solace around you. Based on how content he looked, if he could he would start purring any second now. How was he so cute and lovable? You knew you were whipped for him but you could swear he looked extra yummy right now.
You spent couple of minutes like this, and based on his even breathing you were sure he was asleep now, but you were proved wrong when he huffed while glaring at you and then changed sides so that you were now facing his back. To be honest you were a bit dumbfounded.
"What's wrong sweetie?" You couldn't help but pry, you had no idea what could've brought this behavior from him. Hyunjin just huffed. You sighed for yourself, you had got to use the big guns. You leaned in closer, amused at how he tried to get away from your touch, as if he had much space to run off to, and soon, not really to your surprise you had him trapped in the corner of your bed. You wrapped your hand around his stiff body and leaned in closer so that you could sweetly whisper against his ear. " Please tell me what's wrong my love" you dragged his nickname as sweetly as you could knowing it made him weak in the knees, and it did break through him. Hyunjin sighed and laid on his back, you glued next to him, his lips were pouted and his eyes a little bit glossy, you rubbed his side to ease him into talking .
"You don't love me" he whined quietly, you expected to hear anything but this from him if you were honest. You blinked at him confused, trying to gather your thoughts, you were both perplexed and also hollering from laughter inside. He was so ridiculous sometimes. You took a deep breath and moved your fingers to play with his soft locks, Hyunjin immediately leaned into the touch.
"My love, I love you so much I don't think you can even comprehend it! What brought this up?" Your voice was soft, you wanted him to know how sincere you were. Hyunjin sighed and put his hand on your waist, successfully bringing you closer to him, your fingers migrated and now were gently scratching his nape. Hyunjin hid his face in the crook of your neck and quietly grumbled "you didn't kiss me even once since I got here, we haven't seen each other in a while tho." No matter how hard you tried you couldn't hold it in and started cackling, this adorable as hell drama Queen! He had you worried for nothing! You even thought for a second you did something wrong.
Noticing your shaking figure, Hyunjin looked up at you with doe eyes, and his pout deepened when he saw you that you were wholeheartedly laughing. "Stop laughing I'm talking from my heart here!" His comment made you laugh even harder. "I should've gone home, you hates me" noticing how sad he sounded you got reminded that he was drunk as hell and was feeling more fragile, you wondered tho if he would remember any of this in the morning? Was it too late to grab a camera? Pouty Hyunjin was adorable.
"I'm sorry my love, you know I love you the most." Hyunjin rolled his eyes, and you knew he was playing with you, his eyes glimmered with mischief, well, two could play this game. You lowered your voice so you sounded almost sultry "Why don't you let me prove my sincerity to you then? Are you gonna let me?" You carefully watched as Hyunjin's eyes widened for a second, the big gulp and careful nod of his head.
This was all the permission you needed, you leaned in and carefully sealed your lips together, your boyfriend basically melted against you. You just loved how soft and pillowy his lips were, you always felt like you could kiss him for eternity.
The kiss started out soft, with you gently caressing his lips, his hand firm on your waist, holding you as if you were going to go away. Everything went quiet, you could only see, smell, taste, feel, hear him and so much more, he was the center of your universe. It was just you two right now, you didn't care about anything else. You had one goal only and you were dedicated. Everything about him was driving you crazy, you were sure he couldn't even grasp what, or how much you were feeling.
Your kisses quickly deepened and apart from gasping for air from time to time you two were inseparable, like two magnets pulling on each other.
The second Hyunjin leaned back for a second for some air, you decided to continue your little attack on his jaw, then his cheeks, absolutely loving the feel of his soft skin on your lips, then came his forehead, his eyelids, his beautiful nose, his chin, his neck... You wanted to cover every inch of him in kisses, to show appreciation to whichever god or gods crafted him, to show appreciation that this walking perfection was yours, his soft sighs and whines making you go even crazier.
You littered every part of skin you could reach with kisses until your lips were so numb and buzzing you got afraid they would fall off. Although, it didn't sound that bad, knowing the last thing they did was to kiss the Hwang Hyunjin senseless.
Looking at him, he looked at you with so much love and adoration, his face and neck all flushed, his breathing was quick and shallow, his hair all disheveled, his beautiful hands held you so tightly, your heart started fluttering all over again. He looked absolutely breathtaking, you wished you could engrave this moment into your mind for eternity. You smiled at him and softly grazed his cheek. "Are you satisfied with my answer my precious?" Your voice was soft, Hyunjin gleamed at you and eagerly nodded his head, and the next thing you knew you were on your back on the bed, Hyunjin above you, hugging you as tight as he could, his lips softly kissing your collarbone. "Absolutely, I love you so much beautiful, you have no idea" he pressed another kiss on your neck and then your lips with so much love and passion you just knew your feelings were returned with the same passion and vigor.

PAIRING: bang chan x f!reader GENRE: fluff WC: 0.9k WARNINGS: none, just kisses:] a/n. [based on this request ! my brain never worked so quick when i saw a prompt. everyone say thank you anon for requesting heheh. also, sorry for taking so long to get back to you, dear anon😞]
“A penny for your thought?” Chan asked, taking a seat right next to you, making your whole body shiver when his arms brushed yours. You turned your head slightly, eyes landing quickly on the thing under his nose. You blink before forcing a smile. Act normal, please, act normal.
You really can’t.
It’s not like you haven’t been kissed by him, who has been your boyfriend for the last couple of months. But it hits differently when you dream about a specific kissing scene. Maybe it was the influence of numerous romance dramas you watched, combined with the fact that you can’t get enough of his kiss. Maybe you’re going crazy. Crazy in love. Or it’s a mix of both.
“A penny is too cheap,” you replied jokingly, trying to not sound too nervous. You don’t dare to look at him again because your heart is starting to go thump-thump-thump under your ribcage and one look at Chan might just give you a heart attack on site.
The thing is you can’t get the image out of your head. The dream you had last night. Of you and Chan. Kissing. Under the rain.
It always looks so romantic on TV, but you hate that the majority of them always start after a heated argument. You understand the desperation, you understand the appeal of the angst, but the dream you had last night was just… so… sweet.
“A kiss?” he offered leaning in your direction with a playful smile. Your eyes widen and you can feel heat spread across your face. Chan laughed a little before teasing you even more, making you stand up from the sofa. “You’re blushing, you know that? Haven’t I kissed my beautiful girlfriend today?” he asks, following you to the kitchen where you take a glass of water and drink it hastily. Praying that it could cool you down.
You glance out the window. These days the skies have been a bit moody and then as if on cue, it starts to rain.
Chan’s hand snake on your waist, hugging you from behind. The gears on your head are turning. You had to bring that image to life even if that meant you’ll catch a cold afterwards. But how? You can’t directly say to him that you want to kiss under the rain… It feels so childish… Besides, it will just catapult his ego out of this planet and he'll bring it up to you on all possible occasions.
“Where are you?” Chan asked, pressing a kiss on the side of your temple. It feels like the contact of his lips and your skin turned on the switch in your brain.
You turned to face him, leaning in closer until your nose met each other. His eyes fluttered close, but you use that moment to escape his strong arms into the front door. In the back of your head, you can see him with a lowered head, hands on both hips, all while trying not to smile at your sudden prank. You let yourself roam the road, feeling the rain turn from a drizzle into a more constant shower.
Chan followed you out but made no movement to join you who started to run around in the empty road. It’s been ages since you voluntarily stand under the rain and actually enjoy it. The rain always does an excellent job of washing away your worries for a while.
You stopped, with hands outstretched to him. Inviting. Waiting. Please take the bait, please take the bait, you wished. “Catch me if you can,” was the word you half-shouted to him.
He raised his eyebrow, seemingly unamused. It’s a mental game, waiting around on who can stand being five feet away from each other. But like every other time, he loses this one too when he stepped out from the porch into the pouring rain.
You dodged him when he tried to trap you in a hug, laughing like a little kid. When you look at him, you swear that he’s the prettiest thing on earth. He’s like a flower who just gets watered; vibrant, full of colors. And his smile, God, his smile is enough for you to stand under the rain forever.
You give up at last. Letting him attack you with tickles all over your body.
“I admit defeat,” you try to squeeze in between laughs. He stopped tickling without taking his hands off your waist. Pulling you closer and turning you to face him. “Hi,” you said when you finally met Chan face to face.
“You’re having too much fun for someone who might complain about their cold and runny nose the next couple of days, babe,” he said. You just smile sheepishly before tiptoeing to give him a quick kiss. “That’s it?” he asks back. You nodded in reply. He tch-ed, head dipped to meet your trembling lips. You circle your hand on his neck as he lifts you up from the ground, spinning you around a bit. His lips taste like the honey chapstick he uses, warm against your own.
“That’s definitely better than my dream,” you admit with a wide smile. You’re cradling his head, forehead pressed against each other. Chan laughs earnestly, finally seeing behind the curtains.
“Next time you have some romance scenarios in your head, just tell me,” Chan offered. You roll your eyes, still holding the smile on your face.
What once woke you up from your sleep now becomes the image you see before you close your eyes. A thousand times better than any scenes you ever watch and definitely worth the cold that comes after too.
a/n. i wrote this in like 2 hours i didn't know how it got this long maybe i just missed him a little too much:/

SKZ’s reaction to being Trapped in an elevator with you
A/N: An idea from ummm 2020? Lmao I got trapped in an elevator once. Requests open :D
gender-neutral!reader, mix of romantic + platonic!
Bang Chan: “It’s okay, baby, stay calm. This is why there’s a call button built into the elevator.”
Waits a moment to see if the elevator will fix itself
Hugs you and rubs your back if you get scared
Then he presses the alert and/or call button in the elevator and handles the whole conversation until maintenance comes
Prioritizes you and does his best to keep the situation under control
Lee Know: “I can’t die now! I have three cats to raise!”
Startled but isn’t surprised; the elevator has been having issues all week and he’s been thinking about it every time he steps in
Kinda scared the elevator will fall—he’s definitely the type of person to plan on jumping as the elevator falls to supposedly minimize damage
Tries to distract himself while you handle the distress call
Suggests lifting you up to the top of the elevator like in spy movies until you remind him that there’s another set of doors on each floor of the elevator shaft
Changbin: “YO…yohhhh…sorry, sorry, where’s the distress button?”
Freaks out for a bit at first but quickly toughens up because he doesn’t want to worry you
Tries to distract you both from panicking with humour
Acts cool on call with maintenance to impress you 😎
The elevator is stuck near a floor, so he’s able to help push the door open and help you out!
Hyunjin: “AOUGH are we gonna die?? Okay, nevermind, we won’t…at least we brought food, right?”
Was returning from a snack run with you when the elevator crapped out and the lights started flickering
Is a drama queen until you open a bag of chips so he’ll stop yelling
You’re gonna have to handle the distress call simply because his mouth is full of snacks
Suggests making out to pass the time (he’s trying to distract himself)
Han: “Did you hear—WHAT WAS THAT?!”
Would panic before he even knows what’s happening! Thank goodness you’re there to calm him down
Latches onto you for comfort
You’d have to figure out which button to press and the call because he’s too stressed
Hugs you tightly even after you escape the elevator because “my life flashed before my eyes! I need to cherish you more!”
Felix: “Woah WOAH woah. Are you okay? You’re okay, right? Don’t worry, let’s handle this together.”
Pretends not to panic but spams whatever assist buttons they have and the “open door” one even though it doesn’t work
Clears his throat and makes sure to use his deep voice when on call to show you he isn’t scared. He isn’t! Not worried at all!!
Holds your hand and does deep breathing exercises with you to keep you both calm
Will massage your head for you to help you relax
Seungmin: “Ugh, I hate when this happens. Give it a minute.”
This is the guy who had a helicopter crash into his building and was unphased… unbothered king™️ could not give a crap about the elevator
Is two minutes away from lock picking a control panel to try and fix it himself (he can’t. He’s just bored)
The elevator is trapped between floors even though the door opens—he’s ready to help lift you up through the gap just to get help quicker
You refuse because you don’t want to leave him behind, so you play a game with him to pass the time
I.N: “Um…we’re supposed to call someone, right? But my phone is dead!”
Is honestly unsure what to do…Is praying in his head that the elevator fixes itself first so you don’t need to call for help
His finger hesitates over the alarm/call button while his other hand holds yours tightly
Asks if you have snacks so he can stress eat while you wait for help
Immediately searches up “what to do when trapped in an elevator” the moment you’re out in order to prepare for the future

Demon lee know! [Minors dni]
"Can we talk,Y/N?" Your eyes shot up as you heard his husky voice. Your friends' laughter died soon seeing his posture. You rolled your eyes. Lee know, your classmate. You both went to the same faculty. Everyone said he was mysterious. He seemed so nerd but aint one.
He was a demon. An obsessed demon.
"We had nothing to talk about, lee know" you said in a harsh tone. You would catch him staring at you during the semester sometimes.. At first, you didn’t mind thinking those were friendly stares. Even sometimes you would walk up to him and had a friendly 'hi-hello' conversation with him. He would always stare. He was never the one to walk towards one and start talking as him being the typical gentle type nerdy man, always hiding in the corner under dark... At least you had never seen him doing that in the whole semester. Darkness & forest attracted him. He would rather go to the field staring at the green than befriending with classmates. He was indeed a mysterious introvert after all.
"I insist,Y/N,pleas-" you cut him off screaming, "why the hell can't you understand this Lee know?Gosh!I am so tired of you!I told you!" Lee know looked taken aback for your sudden screams in front of the other students. You started giving a nice show to them. He looked around and saw some students laughing at him. He clenched his fists looking at the floor. He was never that much degraded down by anyone. His jaw tightened.
His head was spinning in anger. He wanted to crush all those heads in a snap.
"I was just being nice with you and look at you! I told you we are barely friends! I-I dont like you!" you screamed the last words pushing his built chest with all of your strength and he stumbled a few steps backwards.
His eyes flickered trying to coo you with his lullaby.
"Y/N-stop it" he said in a serious tone, clearly not liking the stares and gasps he was receiving from his classmates. Some were even recording the scene on phones.
"Why!I even told you multiple times to stop saying 'you like me' and those pathetic stuff!have you ever listened?" you pulled some hair strands behind your ear roughly. You had had enough. This man was just being so irritating. You did told him nicely he had not been your type, didnt you? He was the one who made you do this drama in front of other students.
"Women dont like pitiful thing like you LEE KNOW!" one of your classmates shouted out making others laugh at the man standing in front of you. You looked away in disgust.
Bang Chan, your boyfriend suddenly came over to your rescue and placed his long arm over your shoulder. Your eyes brightened seeing this man which earned him a deadly glare from lee know.
"Listen,Lee know, right? Why would Y/N go for you when she has a thousand times better option standing by her, huh?" You heard your boyfriend muttered those words followed by some 'ouch' from the spectators. You looked around and felt a little sad for him. Part of you became guilty when you saw Lee know glaring at the floor quietly. Oh! You shouldn’t have humiliated him in front of others. You and your anger! You cursed yourself. You had no intention of making this drama or humiliate him. And there your boyfriend Bang Chan was determined to make the situation worse for you and Lee know. You were really sorry for him.. But little did you know that it was already too late. You had awaken something.
"Look, lee know You are such a sweet man but you are not my type..I told you before, didnt I?..I-I am sorry for this.. I should have thought before creating such scenes... Please leave me alone" you said in a calmer tone and waited for him to look at you and say something as he wiped the corner of his mouth using his palm. However, it never came. He was glaring at his shoes. His eyes were glowing red which none of you noticed yet.
"I-I am sorry..I must leave now" you mumbled and waited for his response before you leave. Just like before, it never came so you pushed the arm of Chan off your shoulder and ran away quickly.
You leaned your head on the wall of the corridor hiding yourself from other students. Putting your head between your palms, you started sobbing. You never wanted to insult Lee Know. But a part of you and the situation had made you do that.
"Baby, you are here!" you heard Chan's worried voice. He took a breath of relief before pulling you into a warm hug. You clasped his shirt and sobbed harder.
"Hey~" he cooed with his husky voice, "don't cry Y/N.. You did good. That was not your fault"
"Chan....I didn’t want to humiliate him-in-in front of others... It just came out that way..you-you know he had been following me saying th-those stuff des-despite knowing I am com- committed in a re-" you hiccuped. He rubbed his thumb over your cheek gently wiping off the tears and placed his warm lips over yours. You hiccuped between the kiss and tried to push him away. You were not in the mood of kissing him after creating up such a mess. But he didnt let you go. Rather he pushed you lightly against the wall behind you and moved his lips passionately as his fingers intertwined with yours..
He broke the kiss and placed a soft kiss on your forehead, "better?" you nodded. He definitely knew how to make you feel better no matter how terrible the situation was.
"No one can't resist my kiss, you know?" he winked at you making you throw some playful light punches on his chest. You smiled seeing him smiling at you as if he had just cracked the best joke of the century. Bang chan was the sunshine of your life. You hugged him tightly.
"And things happen like this Y/N..these are the parts of life... We all know how soft and caring you are.. And-I know you can't hurt anyone. But things happen sometimes...but you said sorry to him, right? " he patted your head pinching your cheeks.
"I just hope-He doesn’t trouble you throughout the rest of the semester" he murmured in your ear before tugging you to the corner to kiss you more passionately.
Lee know came out of the corner where he had been hiding. He actually ran after you to apologise again though he truly believe he didnt do any wrong. He was hurt when you screamed at him in front of others. He had angry tears in his eyes in degradations but his tears and his humiliations were not so important to him than your crying posture. He could hear your mind. You were so sorry and worried for him.So he ran after you only to find you crying in guilt for shouting at him. And that moment all of his pain got vanished. You were worrying of him, thinking of him. Your heart was in a mess for him. It made butterfly in his stomach. He hid behind another corner and watch you silently crying over him, hearing your sobs and occasional hiccups. He wanted to run towards you and wipe off those salty tears from your face or maybe taste those red plump lips. He knew you wanted him as much he wanted you.
But all of his fantasies ran in vain when he saw you almost making out with that boy,Chan hiding behind the corner. He wouldn’t let this happen anymore because he always got what he wanted for eternity and you were no exception. He made a mental note. It was time to take some action.
"Dont fight me,love." he whispered huskily looking straight into your eyes. You felt your head being dizzy and vision blur. "Wha-what Lee-" you tried to utter but failed miserably.
"Sshh,it's gonna be fine.." he cooed with a smirk holding your half comatose body.
"What-what are you!" you mumbled seeing his eyes glowing crimson.
"You will know soon.." you heard him chuckle before you fell unconscious into his long arms.
When you woke up from your deep slumber, you found yourself in an unfamiliar room on an unknown bed which was giving off a male scent. Your head throbbed. You rubbed your forehead trying to remember how you ended up here.
The glowing red eyes...oh no!
"Lee Know?..." you whispered in disbelief when you recalled how he forced you and how he abducted you. You started panicking more when you found your left leg chained up to the bed stand. You whimpered silently thinking how you ended up in such a mess. You shouldn’t have insulted him that day. Who knew this guy was that weird?
Even the room was weird. The darkest room you had ever been. You didnt know if it was day or night. You whimpered again. If Chan was there, you wouldn’t have to tolerate this. Would you ever get the chance to see him again? You cried out loud until your eyes slowly gave in.
You moaned unconsciously as one finger ran along your cheek. You smiled thinking how it was feeling so good before jerking up in the bed to find Lee know hovering over you. He smiled when you got up and cupped your face in his hands, inching his face closer to yours.
"What the hell!"You screamed at top of your lungs and pushed him away with all of your strength. He looked taken aback but sat silently on the bed looking at your stoic face.
"Why..." you cried out to him. His eyes softened a bit seeing you miserbale," becauseI love you Y/N..."
"Shut up!"
"You don't understand how long I have waited for you.. You are the light of my life. You pulled me out of the hell like a magnet.." he explained as if he was hypnotized.
You sobbed harder hugging your knees close to your chest,'I dont want this..please let me go?"
"Please dont cry...I dont like when you cry.." he said using his long hands to pull your body closer to him. You tried to push his hands again but he was determined this time to pull you until you landed in his arms. He snaked his arms around your body holding you closer to his strong chest. He patted your head slowly when you sobbed in his arms, "please dont cry..I love you. I wont hurt you"
"We will work this out together.."
"You-you are already hurting me know...please let me go..why why are you doing this.." you hiccuped in his arms. You were too tired to fight.
"If I let you go,you will go to that Chan..why you do this.. I love you so much..you want a mere human over me!" his grip tightened around you remembering how it was not him to have his arms wrapped around you but that Chan. His eyes flashed with anger. Just one snap and that pathetic human was over.
You were scared feeling his aura getting darker. He was so of a hell..
"Ple-please..I beg of you.." you mumbled looking up at him. His eyes studied your facial features. It was the first time he was so close up to your face. Stained tears on your cheeks, plump pink lips, puffy eyes-everything was mesmerising to him. You suddenly felt self conscious under his heated gaze and looked away immediately. It was not the lee know you had been knowing.
"Don't look away, love because I am the only one you will be looking at from now on.." he whispered in your ear taking his chance to take in the smell of your curls. You flinched hearing those words and flinched harder when his hand started sliding up and down on your back, taking his time to caress your back. You pushed him away and he chuckled letting go of you.
"You smell so beautiful, love, exactly the way I had imagined..." his words made you blush harder. You hugged your knees tight. Biting you lips looking away.
"God..the things I want to do with those lips.." he snuggled closer in a second to whisper those dirty words in your ear and placed a soft kiss on your earlobe. Tears formed in your eyes again. This man was getting out of hand and you never imagined him to be anything but like this.
"You-you are a pervert!"
"Oh?is that so? You still haven’t heard of the way how I touch myself thinking of you every night,baby.." he cooed with a sinister smile. His fangs coming out of his mouth. Your ears turned red.
"I wouldn't lie but I love moaning your name out loud, sweetheart" he chuckled moving away. You shut your eyes in embarrassment. Never had Chan himself even said those nasty words to you despite being the playful boyfriend of yours. And here the nerd calm gentle man had just opened his book of fantasy to you. You hate to admit that the sudden change of his gentle aura and his words were turning you on.
"Your name really tastes good when it rolls out of my lips.." he commented with a smirk before continuing, "oh?Your that pathetic boyfriend never told you this?that's sad..I always knew I can treat you better...in every way"
"He-he treats me well. He's not like you abducting people and touching women against their wills..and of course he's not a demon." you spitted out making him furrow.
"I dont abduct people. I am just keeping you safe. You are safe in my arms. And you love my touch. I saw your smile when I was touching your face and you were sleeping so peacefully..." he finished with a smile.
"I am safe anywhere but here with you!"
"That's a misconception of yours, love. You are perfectly safe in my arms. You just dont wanna admit that." he said walking up to the bed stand. Your eyes lit up as you saw him sitting on the floor to unlock your restraints. It was your only chance and you have to make the best use of it.
"The bedroom is locked,Y/N, so dont try to run away. You will end up being in my bed with me..maybe then I can show you how I am way better than that Chan.." he said these nasty words smiling at you innocently. His puppy eyes were not matching his fangs.
"Do you fucking think I am an object,Lee know!I really did think better of you! Look at you! Every single time you open your mouth about me you end up taking things to-to-" you couldn’t finish the sentence due to anger and shame.
"To what, love? Sex? Dont play innocent Y/N..It's not like you haven’t done it with the man you fucking love!" he growled flying in front of you and you crawled backwards in fear.
"You-you can fly!" you uttered in disbelief.
"Yes,I can and I also want to do it with the woman I love...and Y/N that's you. You make me crazy..." he blushed smiling. But you had already seen his true side so his this fake cute side wasn't impressing you at all.
"You make me do the things which I never-" he blushed harder again making you blush too. But he quickly composed himself, "It's not only about sex and your body.. I have seen better-its just I love you and I want you in every possible way.. I want to be the only man of your life." he said the words looking in your eyes before taking a bowl full of soup.
"Here-have it. I made it for you. You love chicken, dont you?we have so much things in common" he beamed with joy.
"How do you know?" you asked.
"Oh..I used to watch you every night through your window...I even copied the recipe so you can eat it.." he replied innocently.
"I dont feel like eating.." you looked away in anger. You shivered thinking of a demon watching you in your room every night.
"Would you like me to feed you, baby Y/N?" he cooed taking a full spoon of soup towards your lips. You slapped the spoon away spilling the hot soup on his fingers. He didnt't winch in pain rather his eyes turned red.
"Dont you fucking understand! I am so tired of you! You are a psycho! And you should consult to a psychiatrist fast! I fucking hate you so much!" you screamed at top of your lung and got down from the bed. But he grabbed your arm instantly and pulled you to his bed with him hovering over you. You tried your hard to push him away. However, all of your effort went in vain when he locked both of your hands over your head using his one hand. You blushed harder looking away from his face. You were never in this kind of position with Bang Chan.
He grabbed your face and made you look at him,"Dont you fucking think about your pathetic human boyfriend when you're with me"
Your breath hitched looking at his face so close. You wouldn’t lie that you did find this man attractive. If only Chan wasn't your boyfriend and if he was a bit normal, you would try a relationship with this man. But after seeing his obsessive side, you had no option without hating him to the core.
"Gosh, how much I want to take you right now!fuck!" he chuckled looking in your eyes. You squirmed hearing his husky voice.
"You really need to eat before I start training you.." he bit your earlobe all of a sudden making you moan instinctively.
"Fuck, you want it,dont you?" he smirked making you blush.
"Please..."
"Yes,baby, tell me.." he moaned in your ear.
"Le-let me go please Lee know"
His eyes softened and he caressed your cheek, "I'm sorry love..Trust me,I am not that bad...we will work this out together...."
"And if we don't?" you managed to ask in fear.
"Then that pathetic boyfriend of yours is dying tonight"

“What if the others come back outside,” Y/N says in almost a whisper. Her heart races as she watches Chan remove his shorts under the water.
While everyone had left to do their own thing, Y/N and Chan decided to go back into the pool for a late-night swim, where he suggested the idea of skinny dipping. At first, she felt a rush of excitement at the thought of skinny dipping with Chan but her anxiety quickly took over.
“They’ve seen me naked before,” he shrugs, like it was no big deal. She’s heard many stories from the others about his lack of wearing clothes in the dorm rooms.
Her eyes widen and she harshly whispers to him, “that might be okay for you, but they haven't seen me naked and I don’t want them seeing me naked.”
“None of them will come back out. It’s after midnight, 2 of them have gone to bed, Lix is on his game, Minho is visiting his parents and his cats, and the others are watching a movie or some drama they started. Hyunjin is probably painting or sketching,” he tries to assure her. “But if you don’t want to. I won’t pressure you to do it.”
Biting your lip, you think about it for a moment more before finally nodding. "Okay, fine.” Ducking under the water and you remove your swimsuit, flinging it to the side of the pool. “I’m really putting my trust in you right now, Christopher,” you say using his English name to let him know how serious you are in this moment.
“I’ve got you, baby girl,” Chan swims closer to you, taking you into his arms and presses a kiss to your lips.

"In the Warmth of Trust: A Promise Recalled" part 2
BANG CHAN X READER x stray kids
(part 1)
TYPE: ANGST, CHEATING, fluff
( i feel the ending is very cringe but this only came in my mind)
(also bang chan is an angel, this is just fictional)
When Chan broke up with you and you stopped eating or going out, your dream of mastering your studies turned to shit and you scored the lowest grade in your class. All you did was text Bang Chan and cry for him until he blocked you. When the results of your first semester came, you were broken. You couldn't believe that you let Chan's situation waste six months of your life and take away half of your dream college experience. You went to your grade professor and explained the whole situation. Luckily, your college had two batches a year: the December winter batch and the summer batch in June. Your professor asked you to reappear in the December batch, which was ideal. That winter batch changed your life. It's been seven years since Chan's situation. You just turned 30 and were actually preparing for the reunion of your undergraduate batch in Korea with Changbin. You and Changbin both became college professors: he was in the music department and you were a law professor.
Fast forward to the reunion. You met all of your friends, but then you heard Changbin yell, "OMG!" and you turned to see Bang Chan and Felix. You felt no emotions; you were just happy to see they were okay and doing well in life. Changbin dragged you to see your old group, and you instantly got deja vu when everyone in the group blocked you, including Changbin. When you saw Bang Chan and Felix, Felix looked at you in an apologetic way. He pushed Bang Chan and hugged you, saying, "I am sorry for everything. I didn't know you didn't dump Chan; it was Chan who dumped you." You just smiled at Lix and said, "What happened was in the past, let it go."
Before you could reply to Chan, Changbin, Hyunjin, and all of them started beating up Bang Chan and Felix. Both Chan and Felix left Korea and went back to Australia five months after you left Japan. They started their own company in Australia, and since they got busy, they lost touch with the whole group. All of you sat, and Felix asked you, "Y/N, you are the only one whose life is a mystery." All of them looked at you, and you said, "Really?"
Felix asked, "What happened after all that drama? I don't even know how you and the guys became friends again. I mean, when Changbin hyung called me to come for this meet up, he also mentioned how Bang Chan was the one who left you. NGL, I stopped talking to him for two months, but at the end, I had to talk since he was my partner." You smiled, "It's okay, Felix." Chan and Felix looked at you and asked, "So what were you up to in these years? You don't even have social media; you look different."
Y/N said, "Are you saying I got fat, Christopher Bang?" Changbin quickly said, "Hey, it's happy post-baby weight gain," and Bang Chan and Felix were shocked. Chan's disappointment was showing on his face with regrets. Felix got more excited and asked you about your life. You replied, "Well, when my college ended, I had to come back to Korea. After coming back, I was a guest lecturer and preparing for the assistant professor exams. While preparing, I suddenly bumped into Changbin, and he gave me the dirtiest look ever. I ignored him, and he made a comment, 'Look, cheater is back.' I was angry; I turned and hit him with my book and yelled at him, 'Me, cheater? Really, Changbin? Your friend was the one who broke up with me and at the same week got together with Sana, and I am a cheater?' That's when Changbin, Hyunjin, and I.N. all came to me and apologized. I never wanted to be friends with them again because they believed Chan, but everyone deserves a second chance, right?"
Felix said, "Hey, hey, you didn't tell us about your baby and your partner?" Y/N laughed, "Well, I met my 'husband' (the word 'husband' made Bang Chan's eyes more regretful) in Japan itself. I was roaming in the market street and spotted a familiar face. We both looked at each other, and you know, it was only six months after the breakup from Chan, and I got news that I had to repeat a semester. I was emotional, so I just looked at him and started crying." Felix interrupted, "Wait, wait, wait, so you knew him?" Y/N replied, "Yep, he was from our batch. He just stood there and comforted me."
Y/N: Well, after the meeting, I asked him not to talk to the gang about this since I wanted to talk to everyone directly. And since I was starting a new college, I didn't want people from the past to be back again. My husband and I talked to each other via FaceTime every day. He came to Japan for my graduation and asked me on a date.
Felix: Aww.
Y/N: But I said no. Haha, I actually didn't want to be in a relationship. I had zero trust. So, he waited for my answer for one year, and one day when I saw him taking care of me, I confessed to him. Since then, we are stronger than ever. We got married two years ago, and we just had a baby girl. My husband was the reason I improved my grades in college, and I believed in love again. He was my strength and pillar during my worst times. I thought I would never believe in happiness again.
Bang Chan was shattered. He couldn't even look at you in the eye because he realized you lost your friends and had to repeat a semester because of him, just because he wanted to fool around with Sana for a few weeks.
Felix asked Y/N, "Hey, show us a picture of your baby." Y/N showed him the picture, and he said, "OMG, she is so cute! She looks like a bunny." Lee Know yelled from the back, "Of course, she is cute; she is my daughter." Everyone looked back at Lee Know, who was holding your daughter, who was wearing a bear suit. Felix ran to Lee Know, and Lee Know thought felix was giving him a hug , but Felix just snatched your daughter from him and started taking selfies with her. While everyone was laughing, Chan went to Lee Know and said, "Thanks for taking care of Y/N." Lee Know said with a cold look, "You don't have to thank me." He made his way to the gang who were literally fighting each other to hold your and Lee Know's daughter. Bang Chan just stood there, watching you, Lee Know, and your daughter being the perfect family with your friends, and he found himself alone.

⊹₊˚ʚ❛Masterlist❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛He would definitely be the ideal type of dream boyfriend, those really from k-dramas.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Very affectionate and kind, always making sure you are okay, after all, your well-being is a guarantee of his well-being.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Your relationship is very strong and sincere, since you have known each other since you were children.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛You were a little foreign girl in the middle of a country like Australia in search of new opportunities in life - at least that's what your parents told you -.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Your parents had a common friendship with Chan's parents, which in informal meetings resulted in more encounters between you.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛At first, your relationship was really sweet seeing your parents and other adults around you. Because Chan is one year older than you, he always felt the need to take care of you, despite being very young, he has always had this protective instinct when it comes to people who are important to him, especially when it comes to you.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Unfortunately, you were apart for a few years when he and his family returned to Korea. But even then they didn't lose contact, talking at least once in the whole week - since he was busy with all this question of trainee entering his life -❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛A little older then, you decided to move to Korea, a year before his debut. He was extremely happy to once again have the person he loves so much by his side at a time when he most needed it.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛After his career took off you couldn't be more than happy and very proud of him, and he of you, after all, you were committed to completing your studies after joining the most privileged college in Seoul.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Even with your studies and with his touring, you continued to have such a strong connection between you, even though sometimes you couldn't be alone - since you also created a strong friendship with the boys who, in turn, also love your company and love to steal your attention from him - .❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛After a while you couldn't deny that the moments you spent with him became more and more special and necessary, making you nervous and very anxious with his presence. You couldn't explain to yourself what was going on.❜ɞ
⊹₊ ̊ʚ❛After all, it was normal, wasn't it? He's your childhood friend, it's no big deal, it must be just a passing problem…right?❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Even if you didn't want to confess, you wondered deep down if he felt the same way. If, when I was away from you, I thought every moment anxious to see and touch you again.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛You not only wanted, but needed his touch. He did you good and was always there for you, and you had confirmation of that in one of your hardest moments.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛It was testing season and you were too far away for a few days. He would text you or even call you, but in return he would only get short, perfunctory responses.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Worried, he immediately went to your house to see how you were doing. Even calling you several times, he was not answered. Lucky for her, he had his spare key, just in case. ❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Entering your home, he found you lying awkwardly and uncomfortably on top of your study material.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛He woke you up as gently as he could, being careful not to startle you. He noticed the dark circles under your eyes and the way you looked pale.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛He put you to bed and went to the nearest market as quickly as he could to cook you a simple dinner. He knew you weren't eating right just by looking at the state of your face.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Chan made a very colorful dish with salad and vegetables fresh and seasoned, just the way you like it when you're feeling down.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Upon regaining consciousness, you were desperate, saying how stupid you were for losing a little more than an hour of study - approximately the time you slept.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛His heart broke when he saw you on the verge of tears. He held you as tight as he could, laying with you on the bed and comforting you..❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛It may sound silly but he knew how hard it was for you and you will definitely never forget the way he complimented you on how smart and capable you are.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛After that day, whatever kind of work you had to do in college, he always made time to take care of you.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛It was winter when Chan decided to take you out for a day with him on your day off. You were super excited, since you hadn't seen each other in a few days.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛You walked around the city of Seoul all day, in addition to stopping by your favorite cafe - where it had a very rustic and cozy structure. ❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛After watching the sunset together in a high place near his apartment, you decided to end the day watching a new Netflix k-drama.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Chan had his eyes closed leaning on his shoulder while you tried to pay attention to the series.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Without realizing it, his eyes gazed tenderly at the elder, imagining what it would be like to kiss him without worrying about a possible break in their friendship..❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛But, cowardly, you just pushed away your possibly inappropriate thoughts, only wishing to have him for yourself.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛And so it was days, which became weeks, which became months, with both sides needy yet cowed..❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛You were afraid that at some point, you couldn't take it anymore and would just ruin your friendship by confessing your silly feelings..❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Avoiding him wasn't the smartest way out but it was the only exit you thought was effective.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Upset and confused, Chan looked for you at the college, because at the rate everything was going, he knew you wouldn't answer him if he called you at home.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛He patiently waited for his class to end while he waited outside, leaning back on the bench closest to his classroom door. After the sizable amount of students walked through the door, his heart ached in a good way when he saw you.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛You were beautiful. You always are, of course, but to him your beauty grows more striking with each passing day. When you saw him walk towards you, you knew there would be no escape and, as much as you wanted to, you knew that running away would hurt your feelings even more.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛He thought it would be worse. You sat civilly in the cozy cafeteria that had recently opened next to the college..❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Initially the atmosphere was strange, but he, despite all his confusion and sadness, gave you space to speak in your time. After a few questions from him you let out the real reason: him. How nervous were you around him, the shame whenever he had a more tender touch on you…how much you love him. ❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛Again silence. Fear, you felt. No need, I would say. He got up, sat closer to you and hugged you like his life depended on it. He pulled back, staring into her eyes, gripping her jaw and bringing their lips together in need, passion, longing and love.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛After that day, everything got better between you and, consequently, it didn't take long for him to ask you on a date. The boys freaked out when they found out, they already knew about their mutual crush - but that didn't make them less excited.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛You knew you made the right choice because, not only on that awkward day at the coffee shop, but every day afterward he's proven that he loves you and always will.❜ɞ
⊹₊˚ʚ❛And you will always be around to return your feelings.❜ɞ

🧭 Stray Kids Headcanons - Emeto
🐺 Bang Chan
Will never ever admit to sickness and rather hide in the studio
Doesn’t let you see that he is sick so good luck
Doesn’t want to let the kids down or see him weak, so he might even prefer a manager by his side or one of his GOT7 hyungs or TWICE noonas - though being alone is preferred
The younger members hate it and it causes Lee Know to feel like Chan didn’t think he could rely on him
🐰 Lee Know/Minho
As a caretaker: You’re his baby now
But sheesh, when he is sick
You’re a dongsaeng? He hates you with every fiber of his being
You’re Bang Chan? He still hates you but also you’re the one he feels like he can admit sickness to
He doesn’t want to burden his dongsaengs too much, so he would seek out Bang Chan
But his Hannie is the only one he doesn’t absolutely despises so he gravitates towards him even if not consciously
Very quiet and will try to hide because of embarrassment
Might get motion sick on planes or tour buses
The others can usually tell when he gets quiet and pale
🐰🐷 Changbin
Has overworked in the gym to nausea before
But otherwise doesn’t really get sick
If he refuses food you should start to get worried
Would go to Chan if he can’t hold out on his own anymore but really doesn’t mind getting fussed over by everyone when they notice
Strong stomach and is the one who will carry you to bed and clean up after you
Very soft for Seungmin and Felix in particular
🥟 Hyunjin
Surprisingly good with the maknaes, especially the three youngest
Probably because unlike the rest of the hyung line he is naturally quiet
Very self-sufficient, yes, he can be a drama queen but not when sick
Will tie his hair back and sit in the bathroom alone but not without telling somebody just in case
The others are seldom able to tell when he isn’t feeling good so it might come as a surprise
Might allow Chan in with him, if he is desperate, or Lee Know
Gets car sick occasionally and needs somebody to hold his hair because he gets so dizzy
🐿️ HAN/Jisung
Nerves make him nauseous, oh god, help him
Every member has seen him puke before
Not good with it when he is sick himself but seeing others be sick? No prob
Is whiny and you will know when he is sick (with the stomach flu)
Constant hiccoughs and holding his stomach
Poor guy really isn’t good at being sick
Kind of scared because it gets so hard to breathe, so hold his hand, Minho-hyung, and cuddle him
Will not make it to the toilet - try to locate a bag or bucket and pray
🐥 Felix/Yongbok
Feels the tiniest bit of nausea? You’ll find him glued to his Channie-hyung
Might accept Hyunjin or maybe even Changbin as alternatives but please get him Chan
It’s not even that he’s emetophobic or scared he just hates feeling unwell
Camps on the bathroom floor
It’s so different to his normal happy-go-lucky operating system that he doesn’t know how to cope
Definitely wants chicken soup when vomiting (don’t tell bbokari)
Seungmin finds it hilarious and has once placed bbokari on the tray with the soup
Felix threw up on him in revenge - I.N. couldn’t stop laughing at Seungmin’s shocked and betrayed face but Seungmin had to admit it was funny in retrospect
Felix does still feel a bit bad about it but justice for bbokari!
🐶 Seungmin
Migraine boy and they make him absolutely miserable and useless
Actively would seek out Hyunjin if he has a migraine because the other is quiet and knows how to stroke his hair just right
Migraines make him so damn nauseous, you’ll find him draped over the toilet at least every few weeks - stress triggers them
He is very loud when sick and ironically it hurts his head even more
Has thrown up in bed or on the floor before when he already woke up with a migraine
If it’s a stomach bug he would hide it though
Since he is down with migraines so often he doesn’t think he should go bother his hyungs even more
Has thrown up on Hyunjin’s shoes during dance practice before because he tried to hide he caught the stomach bug passing around
🦊 I.N./Jeongin
kinda learned from Lee Know hyung: he will hate you
No seriously, leave him alone
Let’s everybody know he is sick but threatens to throw up on them if they bother him
Hides with a bucket in his room
Everybody hates that he won’t let them in but respect his privacy
Might seek out Seungmin (or if really desperate Felix) though if he is feeling particularly bad - somehow having his fellow maknae(s) was better than a hyung

You and Chan are immediately accompanied to the doctors. You endure being poked and prodded for an hour, first individually, then together. Each time you make contact with him, either skin-to-skin or through layers of fabric, you’re startled by the thrum of the Charge. It’s different from anything you’ve ever experienced, the sense of comfort and warmth that it brings.
Soulmates are rare, none of your friends or family have one, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have a general sense of the bond that you now share with Chan. Growing up you had heard so many stories and watched dramas of how after First Touch your body changes and contact with your soulmate now results in a sharing of energy, called the Charge. Secretly, you had always considered that having a soulmate would be more of a nuisance than romantic. It didn’t replace the need for sleep, eating, or drinking, but basically seemed like a new requirement in addition to the rest.
The stories had never emphasised just how good the Charge felt.
After all the testing is complete, they bring you to an office and sit you down, test results displayed on a screen and an ominous looking stack of paperwork. The main doctor knocks on the door, then lets himself in, settling behind the desk. He squints down at the paperwork and passes the first two packages to you and Chan.
“Here are the results from today. I'm happy to say that both of you are in relatively good health and don’t have anything to be concerned about. All the testing that we completed also confirms that you two are soulmates. Congratulations!”
You and Chan thank him, but it’s mostly out of reflex. You keep replaying the moment of your First Touch in your mind. The feeling of the Charge is indescribable, but one thing for sure is that nothing has ever felt so right even though you still feel unsettled at the idea that you could have a soulmate.
You’re certain that Chan feels similarly even though he’s doing a good job of presenting himself as calm. You can see it in the way that he’s been lost in thought, getting startled whenever somebody had asked him to do something for another test. His hands had lingered every time you had made contact before it would register, then he would quickly pull away. It was almost addicting, how nice the Charge feels, and it’s enough to override the awkwardness of the whole situation.
The doctor explains some of the results of the testing that you had gone through, but the medical jargon meant that it went right over your head. You pay much more attention to the impacts that your new bond has on your life. The biggest is the time it takes to Charge. Similarly to sleep, recommended Charging timing for each day was 6-8 hours, although there was no difference if it was all at once or spread out. The doctor powers through a laundry list of side effects related to not getting enough charge, making you and Chan exchange glances.
With your jobs and what you know about Chan’s current sleep schedule, it’ll take a decent amount of effort, coordination, and probably some sacrifice from both of you to meet the minimum amount of Charge. When you voice your concerns, the doctor warns you that while not being able to Charge could be offset by eating and/or sleeping more, it would require a significant increase in both to get you even close to normal energy levels and generally wasn’t recommended.
Finally, the doctor distributes the legal and medical paperwork that needs to be filed to properly register as soulmates as required by the government, as well as become each other’s emergency contacts. It’s a tedious process, but luckily it doesn't take too much effort, mostly involving copying information on multiple forms and trying to recall your medical history.
When you’re finished, you leave to find Yonghwan standing in the waiting area of the doctor’s office. He was the one that you first told about your suspected soulmate bond. You had spammed him trying to get in contact, texting multiple times and frantically calling him until he had finally picked up his phone. He had been slightly annoyed initially, having been in a meeting at the time, but had immediately dropped everything to meet you once you had explained what happened.
Now, he gives you and Chan a slow once over before nodding to himself. When Chan excuses himself to go to the bathroom before you leave, Yonghwan sidles closer to you.
“Well,” he says. “It’s not the worst pair that I can think of. Good thing that you joined the team earlier this year, Y/n-ssi, otherwise this would have been an even bigger headache than it already is.”
“If I didn’t transfer to the team then maybe we never would have found out,” you laugh, but wince inwardly. You know that with any idol, having a soulmate is inconvenient at best, but it stings a little for someone to offhandedly confirm it to your face.
Yonghwan looks thoughtful at that. “Huh, maybe you’re right. Took you guys a surprisingly long time to have your First Touch considering how close you are to the boys. Did you really never have skin-to-skin contact with him these past few months?” Even though there’s barely anybody around, and nobody seems to be listening, the two of you have to be careful about mentioning any recognizable names.
“I guess not,” you say, also surprised. Yonghwan’s expression turns from pensive to sly in an instant.
“Although I would have thought that you’d have been a match with a different Australian instead of this one.”
“What?!” You try your best to suppress the blush that’s suddenly fighting to work its way up your face. “I promise that the two of us are just friends!”
“I’m just messing with you,” he laughs. “Everyone knows Mr. Sunshine clings on to whoever lets him, especially when he’s tired. You’re his favourite target because when his brain hurts too much to translate then he can still talk to you.”
You’re struggling to think what to say in response, when Chan reappears, effectively ending the conversation. The three of you proceed to the parking lot without saying a word. There’s already a car idling in the pick-up area that leaves the moment the three of you have gotten in. Just when you think you’ll finally be able to go home to rest, the car takes a turn down a familiar street.
“Are we going back to the company?” Chan must have the same thought as you, as he speaks up before you have a chance.
Yonghwan doesn’t look up from where he’s sitting shotgun, typing on his phone and confirms, “Yes, there’s still more paperwork for you two to complete. You were able to file all the government mandated forms, but given the… nature of your occupation, there are company procedures that you must follow as well.”
You lean back, knocking your head against the headrest.
"I bet I have more things to sign and fill out than Chan-ssi, right?" you groan. Chan grimaces in sympathy.
"I'm afraid you're right. NDA's for you and the people you want to tell about the bond," Yonghwan agrees. "We'll also be arranging any changes to your position responsibilities. Obviously we still need you doing all the work that you're currently doing for the tour, but there's interest in increasing your involvement during schedules. That is, you would be attending more of them. If you agree, of course." He adds the last part as an afterthought.
"Yes, I'm fine with anything. " You scramble to answer. You actually currently don't have the extra capacity, but you're feeling overwhelmed by all these new expectations and want to do everything you can to make the company happy. The more they support you and view you as cooperative, the better. You know them asking for permission is more like an order that’s disguised as a request instead of actually seeking permission. It’s not like they can fire you anymore, but you know they have the power to make every step of your life more difficult and frustrating. One of your worst defence mechanisms has always been blindly agreeing to what is asked of you and it seems this time is no different.
"You don't have to if you're too busy, I know there's a lot on your plate right now," Chan says, looking guilty.
"No, no. I don't mind at all. I'd be happy to spend more time with you and the boys. I think it'd be good for both of us," you say, trying your best to sound reassuring and confident.
"Great," Yonghwan breaks in. "I'll let them know so they can draft any paperwork accordingly."
You slump in your seat at the mention of even more forms to fill out, while the reality of what this soulmate bond means for your life sinks in. A thought crosses your mind and you bolt upright.
"I have to move in with you?" you exclaim, staring at Chan, whose ears and cheeks instantly flush pink.
"Although it's technically possible for Chan-ssi to move in with you, in reality everything is easier if you move in with him," Yonghwan answers instead of Chan, his tone apologetic.
“Today?” You know the answer before Yonghwan even says anything. The doctor had stressed the importance of Charging consistently, especially in these first weeks. Since your jobs made it impossible to Charge during the day or evenings, it left only nighttime available.
“You don’t have to come over today,” Chan jumps in. “We can stay at your place if that makes you more comfortable.”
“No, no. I’ll have to move in eventually, so I shouldn’t put it off. As long as Changbin-ssi, Hyunjin-ssi, and Jisung-ssi are fine with it, that is.” Really, you’d prefer to spend a few days at your place alone to process everything, but that’s not an option so you might as well get to know your soulmate- although it still scares you to consider him that- and new roommates better.
“The guys will be fine with anything, I’ll just give them a heads up about… everything.” He pulls out his phone and in the silence, Yonghwan speaks up again.
"Of course, JYPE will compensate you for the inconvenience of moving and the cost of terminating your contract. All the rent for the dorms that the boys live in is already covered, so you don't have to worry about that. Everything will be explained in more detail in the documents we have prepared, luckily this is all standard procedure."
"Oh. I guess that makes sense… Does standard procedure mean this has happened before? Another JYPE idol has a soulmate?" you question.
Yongwhan pauses to turn back to you, raising an eyebrow.
"Even if there was, it would be highly confidential, Y/n-ssi. In the same way that the staff who know would never say anything about the two of you."
"Ah, right. That's a relief I guess." You laugh, then sober at the thought of having to pack all your belongings and move in with four men. You've grown closer to them in the past few months, but not enough that you don't feel extremely awkward and bad about intruding on their space. "Oh also, I guess I'll have to talk to the legal team about this again but I don't rent my place. Sorry if that makes it more complicated."
Both Chan and Yonghwan stare at you at that, causing your cheeks to flush.
"Does somebody else rent it? Do you have a… roommate?" Yonghwan ventures when you don't elaborate.
"I own it," you say, feeling even warmer at their taken aback expressions. You're lucky the car is stopped at a red light otherwise Yonghwan might have crashed it based on how he's not paying attention to the road right now. "My parents helped me buy it, but it's under my name so technically I own it."
“Well,” Yonghwan says after a moment of silence. “I would say that makes things easier. I assume that you would prefer to keep it?”
“Yes, I’m sure that I can eventually rent it out if I never use it, but in the meantime it’ll make things easier since there won’t be a rush. And more storage is always better I guess,” you laugh.
“Perfect,” Yonghwan says.
The conversation ends there. The information was harmless, although it does set you apart a bit since barely anybody else you know owns instead of rents, but you still feel like you shared too much.
—
After signing countless NDA’s, contract amendments, and filling out some HR forms as well as enduring a comprehensive and quite intimidating lecture about what you can and cannot do now, you’re feeling exhausted. So before you can get called in to do anything else, you leave the building.
You and Chan decide to head home separately. You have to go back to your apartment to pack some essential items to bring back with you and to clean up, you definitely would prefer to shower at your place one last time. Chan, and presumably Changbin, Hyunjin, and Jisung, will be cleaning up the dorm as well as figuring out a plan for moving you in.
You take your time, cleaning up your kitchen, taking out the garbage, packing up enough clothes to last you a few days, toiletries, and make-up, then showering. Once clean, you spend another half an hour just scrolling on your phone trying to take your mind off of the major changes that are going to be happening in your life.
Soulmates.
You still can't believe it. It feels like a position that you shouldn’t have been given and you’re nervous about whether you’ll be a good partner. You had spent the past few years so focused on academics that your social life had been sacrificed and you didn’t have many close friends. You have no idea how things would turn out, a soulmate bond didn’t guarantee a romantic relationship, but they were more common than not and you weren’t sure how ready you were for anything serious.
Chan being an idol added extra complications and you knew it meant that your relationship, romantic or not, would have to stay a secret for a long time. You didn’t mind keeping things quiet, you were naturally a private person, but having to be so careful about not being caught together was something you were concerned about.
Before you can spiral further, your phone chimes with a notification. Chan’s name pops up along with a few messages. You have texted him a few times before, but never on your personal cell phone.
[8:15 pm - received]
Hey Y/n!
[8:15 pm - received]
You can come over any time now
[8:16 pm - received]
Sorry that took longer than I thought, we were just trying to clean up haha
[8:16 pm - received]
Not that we’re that messy!
[8:16 pm - received]
We just wanted to make sure everything was sorted before you arrived haha
[8:17 pm - sent]
No problem! I’ll head over now. Can you send the address?
[8:18 pm - received]
Yeah. And just text when you get to the building, I’ll meet you in the lobby and bring you up
[8:18 pm - sent]
See you soon :)
—
The move, if you can call it that since you had chosen to only bring a small portion of your belongings so far, had gone over pretty smoothly. When you had arrived at the dorms, Chan had been waiting in the lobby as promised and had immediately taken your bags, putting them away once you got to their apartment. It’s not as awkward as you had feared. Just like before, it’s easy to banter with the boys, and time passes quickly.
After a late dinner, the five of you hang out in the living room. Someone starts playing a movie, but it’s mostly just for background noise, Jisung makes a comment about one of the characters in the beginning that Changbin doesn’t agree with and it turns into a full-on debate that’s totally unrelated to the movie. Hyunjin is curled up beside him, occasionally contributing to the discussion but directing most of his attention to his phone.
It feels strangely domestic. Even though it hasn’t even been a full day since you found out you were soulmates with Chan, you already feel like you’ve been welcomed into the Stray Kids family and you didn’t know that you’d like it so much.
“You’re probably tired,” Chan says, standing up shortly after the movie is over. You follow him to his room, suddenly feeling nervous. You’re comfortable with Chan, but you’ve never been good at sleeping in unfamiliar places and you’re not quite sure what to expect.
His room fits his personality, it’s extremely neat, everything in its own place. A significant portion of his deskspace is filled with equipment related to gaming or music production. You try not to be too obvious with your inspection, instead heading right to where your bags are leaning against one side of the bed.
“I ordered a different bed,” Chan says suddenly. When you look back at him, he’s still standing in the doorway, scratching his shoulder awkwardly. The tips of his ears have turned pink. It suddenly occurs to you that he’s likely just as nervous as you are, maybe moreso. "Sorry, I know this one is kind of small for two people. It should come in a week.”
“Okay, that sounds good, thanks,” you say, distracting yourself by trying to find your sleeping clothes.
“I also cleared out some closet space for you.” Chan finally steps into the room and opens the door of his closet to show off the empty shelf and hangers. The left side of the closet looks like one big shadow, crammed tightly with folded hoodies, shirts, and pants, all black.
“Oh, th-”
“And everything is clean. The sheets and everything. Washed it all when I got home.”
Chan’s face is fully red now and things start to make sense. You’ve seen a few video clips and have heard the members teasing Chan enough times to know why he wants to assure you that everything has been cleaned.
“Ah,” you say knowingly, feeling comfortable enough to poke a bit of fun at him too. “Because you normally sleep nude.”
"What?" Chan sputters, hands coming up to cover his face which is somehow even darker than before. You laugh at his reaction, there’s a mixture of mortification and confusion, but neither of you are nervous anymore.
“You haven’t really kept it a secret,” you tease. In response, Chan just groans and flops down onto the bed. You continue, “I’ve seen enough interviews… So I wasn’t sure what to expect.”
At that, Chan shoots up and starts waving his arms frantically.
“No, no! I promise that I’m going to wear clothes to sleep! And when I’m not sleeping too! All the time! Don’t worry about that!”
You just laugh even harder until you can feel tears starting to collect at the corners of your eyes. You take the opportunity to lie down beside Chan, brushing your arms together. You close your eyes. Before you can be lulled to sleep by the instant relaxation that the Charge provides, you haul yourself up to wash up for bed and Chan does the same.
Surprisingly, you fall asleep almost immediately, and wake up feeling better than you’ve felt in a long time. When you look beside you and see Chan rubbing his eyes, hair a mess, and creases on his cheek from his pillow, you know that he feels the same way.
“Good sleep?” you ask, once it looks like Chan is awake enough to open his eyes for longer than a couple seconds.
“Yeah,” Chan says in wonder, voice is sleep-roughed and much lower than usual. “Woah, yeah that… I don’t know if I’ve ever slept that well.”
When the two of you break contact and you still feel well-rested and refreshed, you think that maybe you could get used to this soulmate thing.
—
A few days later on a night that you and all the members have off, you walk into your shared bedroom to find Chan at his desk, laptop set up in front of him. He brightens immediately when he looks up and sees you.
“Oh, here she is!” he says, to your confusion. He beckons you forward and when you step close enough, you can see that he’s on a video call with his parents. “This is Y/n, my soulmate! Y/n, this is my mum and dad.”
You smile and wave awkwardly, leaning over Chan’s shoulder in order to fit properly in the frame. His parents are cuddled comfortably on a couch, and say how glad they are to finally meet you. They speak mostly Korean during the conversation, likely for your benefit, because the few times they switch to English, it’s for remarks that are directed just to Chan, like when his mother scolds him for not helping you move a chair beside him so that you can sit down.
You’re also introduced to Berry, who barks eagerly when she sees Chan, making him coo, eyes curving into crescents as he widely smiles. You can’t help but smile at that, although it’s not unusual for Chan to smile so much, it’s endearing to see how he melts so quickly at the sight of his dog. You’ve heard a lot about her and whenever Chan gets any new pictures from his family, he’s quick to share them with you and the rest of the group.
Luckily for you, the call doesn’t go on for too much longer. Even though Chan’s parents were sweet and only directed a few questions to you, mostly electing to alternate between teasing Chan and asking him about his health, you weren’t prepared to meet them tonight and feel a little off-balanced.
The rest of the evening is relatively quiet, Chan is more pensive than usual after talking with his parents and you’re also lost in thought. It was really interesting to see this side of Chan. For all the jokes about him acting like the maknae, Chan was the backbone of Stray Kids. He always supported the group and took on extra responsibility, even if they didn’t realise it. On the call, he seemed younger and more carefree. It’s a good look on him.
Right when you’re about to fall asleep, Chan speaks up.
“Have you talked to your parents recently?” His voice is deliberately casual, but you can tell that he’s interested in more than small talk.
“Uhm, no,” you say, trying to match his even tone. You don’t know if you succeed. “My family isn’t as… close as yours.”
“Oh.” There’s a pause. Under the cover of darkness, you can’t see anything but the silhouette of his face. It’s hard to tell what he’s thinking. Your eyes start to get heavy again. “They live in Seoul, right?”
“Yes.”
“Oh,” he says again.
“My brother, too.”
“Oh, that’s nice.” Another pause, before, “an older brother?”
“Yeah. By three years.”
If Chan has anything else he wants to say in the resulting silence, you don’t know. You fall asleep before he has a chance to.
—
Surprisingly, the months seem to fly past.
It’s easy to learn and adapt to Chan’s routine when all he does is spend time at schedules or holed up in his studio. You start to bring him dinner after a few too many times when you visited late in the evening and found that he’s forgotten to eat. These mealtimes that you share give you a needed break and you also just enjoy spending time with him, even if it’s often just you eating quietly while he eats and continues working. You don’t push him to stop working during the times that you eat together, you know that it would only cause him to either eat dangerously fast or say that he’s finished before he’s actually full.
It also becomes standard for you to be the last one on your team in the office, often you’re arriving back at your desk right when everyone is leaving to go home or out for dinner. Honestly, you find that your strange hours can prove to be advantageous, as it pushes the timings of your emails to send during working hours for the American companies that you’re working with.
You’ve gone out for drinks or food with your coworkers a few times since you found out that Chan was your soulmate, but with your additional responsibilities, you’ve been under pressure to properly balance your workload so that you can finish everything in time. Your repeated absences don’t discourage your team from inviting you out, but they come to expect that you’re not available. You don’t mind, it’s not like you ever have pressing evening plans that you’re missing and it means that you can try to coax Chan home at a more reasonable time instead of him accidentally pulling all-nighters.
He’s gotten better at that. You know it’s partially because the Charge has helped a lot with his insomnia and he no longer dreads going to sleep. You also suspect that it’s concern for you that motivates him to wrap things up. When you start to yawn or doze off while waiting for him, it’s a reminder that the Charge works both ways and as much as he’s okay with sacrificing some energy, he wants you to be well rested.
The two of you sometimes walk back to the dorm together. It’s not too long of a walk and you want to make the most of the warm weather before the seasons shift. The late hour usually means that it’s peaceful and the cover of darkness eases any fears of Chan being recognized. You don’t hold hands or anything, but it still feels illicit, like you’re blending in too well with the couples that you always see.
Regardless, it’s one of your new favourite activities. You take the time to learn more about Chan, his likes, dislikes, what he’s working on, what he’s stressed about or looking forward to. Even when you and Chan are just walking in silence, it feels comfortable.
—
During the last few weeks of summer, Chan’s sister, Hannah, comes to visit Seoul from Sydney. She’s travelling with a friend, but sets aside a few days to spend with Chan.
It was unavoidable to change the timing of one of the schedules, so she tags along with you. She’s quite a few years younger than you, but easy to get along with. You’ve spoken to her through video calls a couple times, but it doesn’t compare to being with her in-person. Hannah’s constantly making jokes, generally at Chan’s expense, and the set for the photoshoot you’re at is filled with laughter. Chan has to be pulled aside by a make-up artist to have foundation and concealer added to his ears and reapplied to his cheeks with the force of his blush. He constantly grumbles and pretends to get mad at her, but everyone can tell from the sparkle in his eye that he’s ecstatic that she’s visiting.
Chan and Hannah have an interesting dynamic. You can easily pick out similarities between them in both appearance and personality. It's sweet how much he dotes on her even if he tries to act nonchalant and she does her best to show how much she enjoys it. Even though they have a fairly large age gap and Chan spent a significant portion of his life in Korea instead of Australia, they're close in a way that you and your brother have never been.
All the members are familiar with her and treat her like she’s their little sister too, letting her choose restaurants, making sure that she eats first, and spoiling her with gifts.
You take Hannah out one afternoon, when Chan’s not available but you have some flexibility in your schedule. It gives you a chance to talk to each other one-on-one and you know that she’s been meaning to find something nice for Chan without him knowing about it. It’s fun to browse stores and get to know each other better.
"So, what's it really like, being you know, with my brother?" She asks as you take a break at a quiet cafe. Both of you had picked out a couple of items and had found a new hoodie that you think Chan would like.
"It's good, but… challenging," you admit. "Work definitely makes it hard to have a lot of time to actually spend together. I think that he found it difficult having to adjust to a life that has a more… set schedule."
“Ah,” Hannah says, knowingly. “You mean the fact that he’s actually forced to go to bed every night instead of staying up in his studio for days on end?”
“Exactly! Actually, his insomnia isn’t as bad anymore and he can actually fall asleep most of the time, but it’s hard for me to tell how much rest he’s actually getting or how he’s doing. Like I’m pretty sure since I think I’m getting enough charge, then that means he is too, but I know even if he wasn’t then he wouldn’t say anything.”
"Yeah, that’s the one thing about him that I've learned over the years. He always tries to take on things himself so that he's not a burden. He was independent for a long time. Keeping people at a distance is the way that he deals with problems. I like you, Y/n. I don’t want you to get hurt by my dumb brother and his dumb decisions.”
You’re surprised, both by how mature Hannah is and also that she cares about you enough to warn you. For a moment, you don’t even know how to respond.
“Thank you, Hannah. I appreciate it. I hope that I’ll be able to support your brother and make sure he feels like he’s not alone.”
“Just let me know if you need me to talk some sense into him,” she says. “He gets too far into his head sometimes.”
“I’ll keep that in mind, if I ever want to instil the fear of God in him,” you laugh. You can definitely imagine Hannah calling up Chan and giving him a piece of her mind if you ever complain to her, but know that you’d never take her up on the offer. “Now come on, one of my favourite stores is on this block and I think you’ll like some of their clothes.”

Heyy! Can I request an mtl with stray kids of who would prefer serious relationships over casual ones? (Like serious on the top, and casuals on the bottom)
take your time, thank you🫶
MTL to prefer a serious relationship
Bang Chan || king of pentacles: Chan is a reliable and grounded guy, who's very serious about every relationship he builds with others - business, friendship or romantic.
Lee Know || the chariot: He thinks long-term and goes all in, for sure.
Han || king of swords: Kings are always very serious about everything they do. Casual relationships usually aren't worthy of his time or energy.
Changbin || queen of cups: He doesn't date unless he's already emotionally attached to the other person, but he's still a little less serious about it than the ones above.
I.N || the tower: He likes the drama and intensity of a very serious relationship, but might get tired of it pretty quickly. The beginning should be serious, but it's OK if it becomes more casual after a while - that might work a little better for him.
Seungmin || ace of swords: He's a go with the flow kind of person + partner, but does tend to be serious about it - unless they establish something else in the beginning.
Hyunjin || the hanged man: "Let's just see where this goes." He's open minded and a pretty independent person overall. Serious relationships tend to feel a little too stifling.
Felix || five of pentacles: At some point in the past he might've taken a rather serious approach to it all, but that just doesn't suit his current lifestyle. Casual relationships work much better for him right now.
MTL to prefer a casual relationship

you entered the cafe at 4:56pm, looking around for any sign of changbin. he was known for being early, at least that was how you knew him when you were friends.
it seemed it was still the case, because he was sitting not far from the entrance so you could easily spot him.
you walked up to him and sat in front of him while he got up— for respect.
you both sat down as he cleared his throat to give himself courage, “thank you for coming.”
“I proposed,” you reminded him, “of course I’m here.”
“right. I’m genuinely sorry for the way I behaved, it was so wrong of me. I talked to chris and jisung about it and it opened my eyes about the way I handled things. you don’t deserve what I put you through. and I get your point of view— jisung showed me the messages.”
“well, thanks for apologizing. no one held a knife to your throat, at least?” you joked, feeling at ease with him despite everything that happened.
he chuckled nervously, “no, it’s all me. I finally confronted my own emotions.”
“I was hurt by your words but I’m sure it was nothing compared to me leaving so… of course I forgive you.”
“hey, your feelings are valid. don’t diminish them for mine.”
“I know, I know. it was so out of character though, can I ask why you acted that way?”
changbin rubbed the back of his head, averting your gaze. “I, uh…” he sighed gravelly. “I owe you the truth.” you nodded, patiently waiting for him to continue. “I had feelings for you.”
“oh— that’s not what I expected.” your eyes widened and you blinked a few times.
“keyword being had! I don’t know, I guess love turned to hate and I struggled to get rid of it, especially after seeing chris suffer that much and I kind of unconsciously normalized being angry when it came to you.”
you felt bad. “I had no idea, I’m sorry. and thank you for telling me.”
“I obviously had no intention of telling either of you. it just happened and you guys were so happy, I didn't want to change that.”
you couldn’t stop the side smile from appearing. he didn’t change that much, after all. “you're so thoughtful, changbin. I’m really sorry.”
he raised a brow. “what for?”
“everything.”
“ah,” he smiled, “I’m okay now.”
“I know but—”
“hey, sorry to interrupt, but have you chosen?” the waiter asked, visibly embarrassed. a manager probably forced him to come.
you looked at each other and nodded.
“sure. i'll take a hot chocolate. what do you want, angel?”

Mari herself spent her last days in a sedate manner. She took care to take in every moment and give herself as freely and openly as she might, hoping to make up the best of the days left before the carriage would drive her away. Mari still kept to her usual hours in teaching; the oldest two begged to leave their long equations to sit with the younger ones. The eight of them ended up pursuing a subject together, raising questions and speaking out the opinions they’ve formed.
“You must not neglect your education—it will always be of some value to you,” Mari said quietly. They had gathered on the terrace outside the study room, huddling close to her—Jeongin had the privilege of sitting on her lap. They were to nap after some walk, but they had asked if they could sit with her instead. All the same, they dozed away in this soft breeze and her softly spoken bits of advice—her last naggings, so it would seem.
Balrnshores gardens would bloom in full again, while the Commodore’s stables expand with more horses for the boys to ride, perhaps accompanying their travel to the creek once summer rolled in. Mari would not repeat the season with them again, nor relive last year’s memories by walking through the fields again and seeing all the changes nature blooms into. No good, warm company. That she will regret the most—for the past few evenings she had allowed herself to revel in conversations with the Commodore, whether in making up stories for the boys before the fire or over dinner with Mr Bambam. Commodore Bang would tell tales of his expeditions, and as she worked over her embroidery hoop she mused at how the company of seven children sparks evenings just as warmer and more sweetly than coffee after dinner. It will be so quiet and different in Mrs Ahn’s home. Inha will soon live with Mr Noh, and the other girls will have each other’s company, or leave to teach. And she will be quite alone with her ideas and her embroidery, not knowing when it will be the time for her to speak up and join the company, or constantly wonder if her life is finite in dreary wait for something in between running classes. As if to remove herself from that piercing dream, quietly she roused her charges before they could catch cold in the open air, and helped them upstairs to their softer beds.
Mari checked over her things and clothes again, mostly packed since five days ago from where they had been strewn through the house. Now they are all ready to be carried back but for a few things and her gifts, and now there is not much to do but to pack the last of it on her final day.
Quietly, she went through the house, from the rooms at the top to take in the sights of their halls in the afternoon light. The red tapestries in the western gallery beamed proud and brave; she passed through them to the end of the room, descending the stairs into the front of the house. Soon she was out in the open air, the breeze blowing still to sweep over her face and strands of hair. She descended the stairs into the gravel, and walked round the circular path in front of the house, hastening to near the trees on the northern side. Mari passed between pine trees into the open grassy lawn. It was empty; she laughed. She turned to the high wall behind her—in line with the house, and bordering into the gardens. The breeze called for her to run, but she dismissed it to savour and soak the sights at a slow pace. Such warm afternoon light might not come again to illuminate Barlnshore like this.
Mari went to the flower gardens, admiring the hydrangeas and other blooms in their circular beds. She was mulling over the carnations—how can one not at the presentation of such fine blossoms!—when slow footsteps notified her of another’s presence. Her eyes found the well-cared boots, black trousers, and the long black coat. Commodore Bang was tall and stately as ever, even as he redirected his steps to approach Mari from his earlier destination, joining her to admire the flowers.
“Beautiful, are they not?”
“Yes.” She turned to meet his eyes, looking down when her face suddenly felt over-warm. “...Yes.”
“Walk with me, Miss Son?”
The request was an offer all the same; hardly demanding, like he would simply nod and walk on if she refused, but Mari wished to move—and enjoy his company—thus soon they were pacing side by side.
“I’m glad spring has arrived already,” he said. “Thus you have seen all four seasons in Barlnshore.”
“There's an attraction for each season—all year round vivacity blooms about the grounds.”
“Did you enjoy your time here?” Commodore Bang led her under the shades of the trees.
Mari smiled, turning to meet his eyes. “Yes, very much. You have such a beautiful house, sir.”
He laughed and looked at the house, its ivy-covered side, “The imposing thing.”
“Yes, it does seem so from here,” Mari replied. “Like a great cliff by the seas. But I don’t think you’d merit any less sir, with your titles and income. Your station.”
“No material flattery now, Miss Son. It’s hardly worth it.”
“It’s a contributing factor,” Mari insisted, and the Commodore merely sighed. “And I’ve had a good deal of time to make my judgement, and thus my admiration increases more each day. I think I like this grand house better than any other estate in the country.”
His eyebrows raised, “A bold statement!”
“I approve of the arrangements and the decorations—Minatozaki-san's tastes suit mine. But perhaps the warmth of the occupants endears me more to it.”
“You are fond of them?”
“I am,” Mari maintained with warmth. “They make this mansion a home, embracing you in a warmth we all so cherish from a humble cottage.”
“Chaos, if you consider the boys,” Commodore Bang added. Mari burst into a laugh, and their conversation paused as he joined her.
“But otherwise—or even with it!—they are superb company!”
“And in such company, you would remove yourself, Miss Son.”
Mari felt her chest tighten at the words—compressed from the previous ease she had been speaking with. She wrung out a smile, apologetic, and paced ahead of the Commodore, but then he was quick to follow her.
“Forgive me. I ought not to jab you with such flippant remarks when… it is clear…” Commodore Bang huffed, “Oh, why do I keep upsetting you with my words? My apologies would be meaningless.”
Mari slowed her pace, easing her lungs to breathe deeper against the lump in her throat and shook her head. “Sir, you’ve given me much joy and warmth to amend all those wrongs,” she said. “But we each have our obligations and changes to face—and the boys will grow up… and Lady Jang might have her preference as to who will attend them.”
Mari spoke no more, for she felt further words would betray her. Everything she wanted to say—how much she liked it here, and more so the people: the boys, him —felt extremely wrong to come out at such a time. In such a situation where promises had been agreed upon. She wishes not to say it, or to confuse her own heart and confound both of them with her wants. But it would be miraculous if she managed that much; if anything her tears would ruin everything first to a fluster.
“Growing up takes a lot of sacrifice, it seemed,” Commodore Bang hummed quietly in the silence. “A great deal of parting is one.”
They were standing by a tall, bush of roses streaming from a wall. The Commodore pulled out a small folded knife from his pocket, with which he cut a bloomed blossom and then smoothed the stem off any thorns. He held out the flower to her, peach and rosy and sweet. Mari felt her ears grow hot while she took it; her whispered thanks were certainly inaudible to the man. She dared not meet his eyes, and cleared her throat, “I hope you’ll forgive me too, sir. For any wrongs I did, especially that time before the piano.”
“Leave with little regrets, Miss Son. You must know I have only gratitude in your regard.”
Commodore Bang only chuckled at her questioning eyes. His words came out more measured as he continued, “You have done so much for us. You struck me awake that day and had revived life and joy back in the place, of the boys. It was necessary, even if I wouldn’t approve then. You were... involved, spiritedly, in a way I should have been but could never bring myself to be. I commend your senses and briskness. Such choice of action would be easily forgotten.”
“My gratitude in return sir,” Mari bows her head. “You have been kinder to me than what I ought to have deserved in my station.”
“Then let me take the pleasure of parting with you in good faith, better than how we met months ago.” Commodore Bang offered her his hand to shake halfway through his words, and Mari let a smile rise. She gently gave him his hand and revelled in his warm grasp.
“Do not laugh,” he scoffed at her mirth.
Mischief had sparked to Mari as she looked up then, “You were terrible!”
Commodore Bang sighed. “You know very well I was.”
She gazed over his face, admiring the way black strands fell over his brows, shifting slightly in the wind. Their eyes met, and she stifled a gasp and the urge to look away. His eyebrows were furrowed against the sunlight, but it didn't render his eyes as hard as that night when she first saw him. Mari could not help to smile at the soft crows at the corner of his eyes, more indented with his frequent smiles lately.
“Everything is well now, Commodore,” Mari said.
“As well as it could be,” he slowly replied. He lowered their hands, releasing hers. They resumed their pace, now turning to the front of the house. Some minutes passed in silence, but it was relieved from burdens or tensions—whatever had been contained in their chests had been said to one another. Mari looked up, turning to the man and found him regarding her. A flush might have trickled up to her face again, but she did not let his gaze deter her.
“Promise you won’t…abandon the boys again?”
“No,” Commodore Bang shook his head, sincerity in his warm eyes. “You have my word. Henceforward, I shall only seek to provide for their happiness and welfare. I have little else to do anyway. Furthermore, I have little intention of letting people coerce me otherwise. Will that do?”
“You have much love for you, sir. I have faith in it to lead you in your decisions,” Mari said.
They fell again into companionable silence. Mari realised she would speak to him no better than as a stranger after this, and the thought made her sigh, with much heaviness as the Commodore had done. Her companion walked on by her, warm and steady. Mari wondered who else would she have such pleasant walks with. The girls back home walk to town, not on one of her meditative, snail-paced ambling through the hills and groves. Mari and the Commodore returned through the front of the house, and into the inner hall, where some ruddy, pillow-marked faces stared at them with half-closed eyes.
“Why do you stare at us so from the top of that stairs?”
The boys were as still as disgruntled owls. Mari giggled; Commodore Bang huffed.
“She asked you a question, lads. Come down now. Dinner will be ready soon.”
The morning turned cloudy even after breakfast, instead of the warm brightness Mari so adored yesterday. It changed nothing of the day's planned events. She let her trunk be carried down, carrying her outdoor garb to enter the kitchen. She bid her goodbyes and bowed to the maids with her thanks: for they have been so kind and accommodating to her, and she wishes them well. She went out to the garden to see Bernard Park and his undergardeners, saying her goodbyes with her good wishes. Then she went to the front foyer, taking her time hooking up her robe and bonnet. A hand reached up to fasten to the bands of her bonnet, and Mari turned to find Minatozaki-san gently tying a ribbon under her chin. She finished, and Mari leaned to hook her head over the housekeeper's shoulder and wrapped her hands in a hug. The housekeeper stilled for a moment, but soon her hand came round Mari, rubbing her shoulder and enclosing her in warmth.
“I wish you well, child, wherever you go,” Minatozaki-san said.
She slipped a soft packet into Mari’s hand as they separated, and told her that there was another basket in her carriage (Mari laughed)—filled with condiments and jellies and a few salted goose eggs, like the parcel she had given Mari for the Ahns last time at Christmas. Mari rubbed her eyes as she looked at Minatozaki-san’s face, unabashed but unwilling to cry so early in the separation.
“May I write to you?” Mari asked, relieved at finding her voice still steady.
Minatozaki-san smiled, “I’d like that, Mari.”
Delighted at preserving a friend, whose counsel she cherished, Mari kissed the housekeeper on her cheek with her thanks and received a kiss in exchange. Mari stepped further out to the foyer. Mr Kang Younghyun was there, taking her hand for a cordial shake, smiling as he gave her his parting good wishes—it was like the time they first met at the inn. Mari wished him good health and blessings in return, grasping his hands warmly. Commodore Bang was by the door, in an easy stance as he waited for her. There’s an uncomfortable lump in Mari’s throat already, swelling into fullness in her chest as they face one another. But his lips were set in an easy smile, the light making a halo of his dark hair, and though reluctant, Mari was less intimidated to approach him.
“One last payment, for Miss Son Mari,” said Commodore Bang, before she could phrase anything of sense. There was an envelope in his hand, which he placed upon her hand gently, “Sealed and stamped, with good faith.”
Mari looked up, finding his eyes upon her already. Brown and warm, the lines around it kind, not stern and shadowed as when she had first seen him.
“Thus, I release you from my service.”
Mari was glad they had spoken the afternoon before, for at this moment she knew not if she could make an apology as well as she had. Her lips let out a whispered thank you as her form hesitates to pull away. Commodore Bang offered his arm. Mari did not refuse him, and they walked out of the front door, descending the stairs to the gravel. The boys had assembled there, chattering and giggling at Mr Bambam’s jokes, but they turned upon her approaching form, and soon their eyes turned mellow. Behind the Mari’s trunks are being tied atop the carriage.
“Let me go first, but I’ll make it short. I’m less significant in your company after all, Miss Son,” Mr Bambam spoke up when the eight of them hesitated; and he gave Mari his hand to shake. “My good wishes for you, Miss Son. God-willing, I’ll be very pleased to meet you again.”
Mari’s heart ached and his earnest eyes; as much as Mr Bambam had implied that they were not close, she always cherished the cheer and friendliness he extended when they shared company.
“That would be delightful, Mr Bambam. Thank you,” she said. “My good wishes for your wife as well,” Mari added quietly.
With a smile, he inclined his head to her and moved beside the Commodore.
The boys came before her; the older holding the younger ones before them, much like how Mari had met them in the dark drawing room. But nearly a year, and so much had happened, so many things shared and more familiarity built between them. If her heart had swelled before, now something tightens around it. Mari knows not if it will survive today.
“All right,” she sighed, stepping closer to them and kneeling with extended hands. “One last time. As promised. Come.”
Hyunjin was first, bursting into her hold with such force it tilted her bonnet askew. He said nothing, but Mari let him hold her as tight as he wished.
“I got excited thinking about your paintings, little one,” Mari murmured. “You keep doing what you love, alright Hyunnie?”
Hyunjin nodded mutely, but he gave her a small peck and held her again with a shuddery sigh. She thanked him; there was a wry smile as he made way for his brother. Jisung latched to curl under her neck and sighed deeply as she kissed his brows, somewhat content to nestle into her as he promised to practise his piano better.
“I’ll keep those words, you know?” Mari hummed.
“I suppose you can—I’ll try not to hurry as much.” Jisung leaned back, looking up at her, “Do you think Appa will let me go to that music school if I want?”
Mari heard Commodore Bang shift behind her. “To a conservatory?” she asked. “Do you want to? I think it only matters whether you want to.”
“I do,” Jisung whispered, his nod firm.
“Then you only have to tell him.”
More assured, Jisung kissed her cheek and stepped away. Then Yongbok bounded to her—she had expected him to join Jisung, but this was just better. Like his twin, he tucked himself under her, and Mari laughed for then it was as if he purred under her. Then he looked up, in all his soft brown eyes and pale-haired cheerful being, and whispered, “You must never take a grave illness, Miss Son, that’s all I ask.”
Her smile came with a laugh and a sigh, the long breath she took to ease her tears back, “I’ll do my best, sweetling.”
It satisfied Yongbok, for then he gave her cheek a long kiss and separated from her for Seungmin. The second youngest toddled to her, making Mari laugh as she held his warm form.
“My strawberries got flowers already,” he declared quietly.
“It did?” Mari asked, a spark of excitement lighting in her.
“I just saw them earlier.”
“You’ll get the fruits in June then, I think.”
Seungmin hummed, muttering that he’d eat them well, then gave her one last warm grasp before letting go. Mari kissed his forehead and rose with a chuckle from where she had been kneeling towards Changbin’s outstretched—with grabby fingers—arms. He was just as tall as her shoulder, so his hands could rest about her waist while she kissed the top of his head.
“Our Changbinie,” she sighed, squeezing his form closer. “My handsome, steadfast, Binnie. I shan’t worry as much knowing you’re here—you’re a very good hyung you know?”
He looked up at her, those dark eyes in soft light, “Do you know you’re a pretty lady, Miss Son? Has anybody told you that?”
Mari chuckles, “I don’t think so.”
“Well, you should know that much. But then I like you more than that,” he finishes, cuddling into her one last time before releasing her.
Jeongin looked up at her from where he was clutching Minho's hand. He had walked into her room as usual this morning. It only took him five seconds to remember that this was her last day with them. He sat on her bed the entire time she brushed her hair, fingers fidgeting over her bedcover. Mari had seen the eldest earlier this morning when they were all dressing up; ushering the others quietly into a huddle and overheard him telling them not to be very distressed about the parting—Mari could not blame him, it would be very hard if the eight of them all cried. But Jeongin took a lot harder time to contain it; his brothers can put on some good humour, restraint or distraction despite the sombre eyes they shared; and Mari would not blame the youngest either for his downturned lips and red eyes. She kneeled back and reached out for him, smiling as she met his watery eyes, just a drop away from flowing out.
“I’ll cry for the last time. But I promise I won’t again,” he whispered, then throwing himself into her arms. “I’ll be a good boy, I promise. I’ll be better.”
She rocked his shaking form and brushed his strewn hair and tears. “You are a good boy, Jeongin, whether you cry or not,” she assured him. “Remember that.”
She could not hold him long enough until his tears subsided; Minho’s hand on his back reminded him of it. But despite his tears, the boy was not in a fit of cries, his shaky sniffles restrained. Mari kissed his brows and touched their foreheads, finding it harder to tear away from the boy. Hyunjin offered his hand, and the two stood away side by side—the elder being most affected by the younger, thus they shared their sadness leaning toward one another.
Minho approached; grave yet assured. His trembling lips could not speak much, but steady enough to give a smile. Mari pulled him in; being nearly as tall as her, he could hook his head easily upon her shoulder.
“I think I’ll miss you the most,” she whispered.
There was a hum. “Thank you,” he said after some pause—words did not glide easily out of him today. “I don’t think we’ve said much about how grateful we are. But…—thank you, for everything.”
He nodded, as if assuring himself. But Mari waited. His mouth opened, then he pressed it close and licked his lips, took a breath. “I might as well add that we love you. Lots,” Minho added, a whisper to her hearing.
Mari’schest tightened, so she pulled him close and kissed his brows, with all the love and blessing she might return to the boy. But soon they parted let—and the lack of his warmth alarmed her with the realisation that this was the parting. She had barely comprehended their goodbyes.
The seven of them had assembled back together, and Mari only needed to turn on her heels and step into the carriage to have it done with. But she took one last look at each of their faces; duty reprimanding her to not linger while fondness beseeched her for just five more minutes to remember the lines and angles and the warm light over their tresses. She tried picturing their gleeful face, those days she let them run rampant on the fields. But in the present sombre ambience, they would not be provoked to. Unless she proposed it.
“Do you know? If a ground mole was to poke his head out of the ground today, I believe it would have shaken itself and declared this day as sunny as any other grand one.”
Their blinks seemed to happen together, and soon bewildered frowns or gaping mouths appeared before her. Mari bit her lips to hold her smirk, letting them stare at her long enough before easing her still face into mischief.
“He can feel the warmth but the clouds would have been very blurry to him. If you get the nonsense I’m saying,” she shrugged.
She would have left them in confusion, but it only took one second for Minho to snort out a laugh, and Jisung followed him in realisation—and soon the understanding was shared with everyone. Half of them might have remembered the amusing picture books they read a few days back, and the others might have not a single knowledge or recollection about it, and merely found decent hilarity at her sudden declaration. Ridiculous, but it does the work, for once Changbin made a strangled whimper in holding back his laugh, and everyone bursted into cackles—even Jeongin could not help the smile through his tears.
"Boys?" she called, steadying her smile as they all looked at her.
"I love you all very much."
Yongbok made a noise between a surprised laugh and a cry, but he nodded even as his fist pressed to his eyes to stop the tears from flowing. Jisung steadied him, and with blotched-faced Hyunjin murmured their love in return. Seungmin and Jeongin stared, the second youngest's tears now breaking out. Minho and Changbin could only smile through the tears. The eldest raised a hand in a wave, and with a warmer heart, Mari turned to the carriage.
Mari lets Commodore Bang help her in and settle inside. He stood by after closing the door, watching her with a smile and sorrowful eyes. Again, his hand rested upon her window as he shut her door, and it was nearly thoughtless how her hand reached out to it and how he grasped hers back in return. His hold was familiar, and his gaze no less assured and steadfast as it had been the past few days. Some pull compelled her to reach for him, to hold and kiss him as she did to the boys. But no. She blinked away the unbidden thoughts. But the warmth of his palm remained enclosing hers—selfishly she savoured it, the strength and warmth it gave her. Mari looked again into his eyes and saw in them... an urgency. She waited for a breath, then another. But nothing came, and her hand slipped back to her lap. The Commodore let out a heavy breath. She cursed her thoughts upon the man, engaged and promised to a fine lady as he was.
Still, his shadow loomed over the window, and Mari found his eyebrows now raised in concern to her. Mari would have laughed at the prospect that she might never find another man as attentive, had this day been more humorous. She let out a smile to assure him all was well, while her eyes trailed over that kind face—pale and lined as ever—but loving; nothing less but love and fondness emanating through it. She feared she would forget it.
He seemed alerted by the lengthy pause they had made by the side of the carriage, so Commodore Bang sighed with a shudder and forced out an easier facade. “Safe journey, Miss Son,” he said.
Commodore Bang stepped away and bid the carriage to drive on; as it shook with motion, her heart felt as if a great hole had been punched into it. Before she knew it they were turning around the fountain. She looked out of the window, turning back to the eight figures behind her.
“Thank you!” she cried out, despite her tightened throat. When she could no longer look from the side window, she turned to the small window on the back. Jisung and Yongbok were running after the carriage, running past the Commodore. They did not make it far until they could only stand still, but Mari looked on—until the carriage turned north, out of the gate, and the house and the parks were completely obstructed from her sight.
For some moments she did not let herself think of anything—neither despair nor disappointment nor happiness. Her eyes trailed over the moving fields and rising hills, until she became aware of the bundles in her hand. Slowly, she opened the one from Minatozaki-san and found inside the softest handkerchief of linen, embroidered with cornflowers in the corners, alongside her initials. She knew it would be a treasured kerchief, to remind herself of the kind housekeeper, a dear friend. The other is from the Commodore, her payment. She could not help but open the flaps, just to savour an item they exchanged. But to her shock, it contained not only the fourth part of her payment but also a cheque for four times the amount. ‘For a good service’ was written on the flap, and for the hours proceeding she could do little but stare at the note, emotions clashing inside her.
sure. talk about flowers, give her one, give her an outrageous bonus, hold her hand, but don't vomit your feelings, chan.
their handholdings would have been outrageous for the time except for the fact that aside from the handshakes, one of them wears gloves when the others don't.
my girl mari and her sense of obligation and her deep longing. we're nearing the end of the tale folks, how are we feeling? please look forward to the grand finale, if I can attempt to conclude it this semester break.

Stray Kids Members as Taylor Swift Albums
Bang Chan | Folklore
"You drew stars around my scars, but now I'm bleedin’. ‘Cause I knew you, steppin' on the last train marked me like a bloodstain, I...I knew you tried to change the ending, Peter losing Wendy, I...I knew you leavin' like a father, running like water, I...And when you are young, they assume you know nothing. But I knew you’d linger like a tattoo kiss. I knew you'd haunt all of my what-ifs. The smell of smoke would hang around this long, ‘cause I knew everything when I was young."
Lee Know | Lover
"My love was as cruel as the cities I lived in. Everyone looked worse in the light. There are so many lines that I've crossed unforgiven. I’ll tell you the truth, but never goodbye. I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you. I don't wanna think of anything else now that I thought of you. I’ve been sleeping so long in a 20-year dark night and now I see daylight, I only see daylight." Changbin | Evermore
"I'm like the water when your ship rolled in that night. Rough on the surface, but you cut through like a knife. And if it was an open-shut case I never would've known from that look on your face. Lost in your current like a priceless wine. The more that you say, the less I know. Wherever you stray, I follow. I’m begging for you to take my hand. Wreck my plans, that’s my man." Hyunjin | Fearless
"I miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain. It’s 2 a.m. and I'm cursing your name. I’m so in love that I acted insane. And that's the way I loved you. Breaking down and coming undone. It’s a roller coaster kind of rush and I never knew I could feel that much. And that's the way I loved you." Han Jisung | Midnights
“I find myself running home to your sweet nothings. Outside, they're push and shoving. You’re in the kitchen humming. All that you ever wanted from me was nothing. Industry disruptors and soul deconstructors and smooth-talking hucksters out glad-handing each other. And the voices that implore, 'You should be doing more' to you, I can admit that I’m just too soft for all of it." Felix | Speak Now
"This night is flawless, don't you let it go. I’m wonderstruck, dancing around all alone. I’ll spend forever wondering if you knew I was enchanted to meet you. This is me praying that this was the very first page. Not where the story line ends. My thoughts will echo your name, until I see you again. These are the words I held back, as I was leaving too soon. I was enchanted to meet you." Seungmin | Reputation
"All my flowers grew back as thorns. Windows boarded up after the storm. He built a fire just to keep me warm. All the drama queens taking swings, all the jokers dressin' up as kings. They fade to nothin' when I look at him. And I know I make the same mistakes every time. Bridges burn, I never learn, at least I did one thing right. I did one thing right. I’m laughin' with my lover, makin’ forts under covers. Trust him like a brother, yeah, you know I did one thing right. Starry eyes sparkin' up my darkest night." I.N | 1989
"You got that James Dean daydream look in your eye and I got that red lip classic thing that you like. And when we go crashing down, we come back every time ‘cause we never go out of style, we never go out of style. You got that long hair, slicked back, white T-shirt and I got that good girl faith and a tight little skirt. And when we go crashing down, we come back every time ‘cause we never go out of style, we never go out of style."

I was inspired by a reel/tiktok I saw of Stray Kids being assigned a Taylor Swift song. As well as a Minsung reel featuring a Taylor song and I just felt like Lee Know gave me Lover vibes and Jisung gave me Midnights vibes and I ran with it. Just my silly opinion. All for fun. Definitely see her albums being interchangeable for any of them. Graphics by @saradika-graphics!

Don't Say Yes // Affianced!Bang Chan x Fem!Reader
Speak Now (Taylor's Version), Taylor Swift—lyrics would be pulled directly to be used in the fic. y/n interrupts and objects to chan's wedding after being arranged for marriage with an unbearable and manipulative chaebol bride. y/n and 7 of their friends save him; and in the process gives chan the one he was looking for all along
Tags: Objection to a Marriage, Drama, Light Angst, Swearing, Hurt/Comfort
Disclaimer: dialogue heavy + kinda lacks chan actually (i am so sorry), reader centric, swearing, it can get frustrating, you and the 7 kids get into a short argument, the bride nearly hurts reader, implied abusive family members (grandmother), legal terms are discussed but ultimately thrown out the window, not as well written as i'd like, heads-up, I'll think about posting a thorough one on AO3 but it isn't likely.

Removing your coat and hanging it up on the couch in Hyunjin's living room, furrowing your brows at the 7 men gathered around the kitchen table. "Is this about Chan leaving our group chat? You guys know it isn't that serious right?" you chuckle nervously at the tense atmosphere, "It isn't about that," Changbin says glumly. Seungmin, in all his antsiness, speaks up and lets it slip, "Chan is getting married in two months,"
And you laugh. You couldn't help but let out an awkward and slightly forced laugh. "What the fuck?" you raise your brow at him but nobody was laughing with you. Not even Jeongin who usually cannot hold it in whenever they pulled a prank on you. Your face drops, approaching them as Minho slaps a bunch of scented paper and a gold envelope on the table. "When was the last time you checked your mailbox?"
"Like, two days ago," you respond, tongue dry, almost terrified to look. If it was real it would tear you inside out, because it has been two weeks since Chan cut off contact from you and the others, thinking he just needed time to think and recollect himself for inspiration but you were wrong.
Marriage? It was almost unbelievable to you, mostly because of your obvious and unsaid feelings for your best friend. You were in love with Cristopher Bang and kept quiet about it, it was something that couldn't sink in for you that he'd be married so hastily, without even a proper bride in mind.
With shaky hands, you pick up the first page of pungent, rose-scented paper and force yourself to read. 'Save The Date! With Christopher Bang and Soo-ah Kim, witness as they lovingly exchange nuptials,' your hands tremble slightly, putting the paper back down before looking up to see the grim faces looking right at your every move.
"Wh- Why didn't I know?" you squeak out, suddenly weak to your knees as Hyunjin pulls out a chair for you and ushers you to sit down, hand on your forehead as you stare at the paper like it'll catch flames with just a glare.
"None of us did," Changbin bitterly spits out, "I only received the invitation yesterday. I'm only a guest, all of Chan's best men are either distant cousins or relatives of the bride,"
"And I got word from Hannah that he's currently stranded in Jeju, his grandmother's property doesn't have signal and he's pretty much trapped there," Felix explains, "Y/N, what do we do?"
You didn't know you were holding a breath in, absolutely frustrated at the information slowly piling up. This couldn't happen, this wasn't happening. You were just about to tell Chan how you feel, not suddenly send him off to a wedding. Your chest tightens, unable to pull a coherent through out of your noisy brain, the buzzing sounds of your friends talking intelligible in the background, heart beating so hard against your chest you're slightly scared it'll suddenly stop.
It gets noisy. You could vaguely heart Changbin shouting over Minho and Hyunjin yelping about. It was a bit too much for you to handle as you slam your hand down the table, crumpling the invitation in the process.
""Everyone shut up!" you yell out as the others look at you in shock and your breath hitches against your throat. You whip your head towards Felix's direction, his question finally anchoring itself in your brain as you glare, "Why does it rely on me?" it comes out a bit more sharply than you intended, making him tense up.
"What? Aren't you in love with Channie hyung..?" he trails off before he sees the irritation seeping into your eyes. "Are you implying that my feelings are something you could use to stop a wedding?" you snap at him.
"No, of course not!" he stands up as well, a bit worked up. "I'm saying that once Chan hyung finds out about your feelings he'd change his mind about the wedding," he explains before Minho raises a brow, "Wait I thought he didn't have a say in the wedding? I thought we brought Y/N here to collectively think about how to pull him out of that situation,"
"Thank you!" you exasperatedly point at Minho, "You're putting me in the spotlight here like I'm the only one who doesn't want Chan to be involved in this wedding!"
Changbin's chair scratches loudly against the tile, "You're meaning to tell us that it seems like we don't value Chan?!"
"I didn't say that!"
And then there was more and more shouting.
Changbin started talking over you, ranting about how you seem like emotional connections won't pull a groom out a wedding while you argued that it isn't "that simple", Seungmin calling you out for being selfish that you absolutely would allow anything to the point where you'd rid the love of your life a chance to know about your feelings while you counter that they're the selfish ones for ever implying that in that way you don't care about Chan, and they don't care about you—seen as only a turning point for Chan.
It was chaos.
"Fine!" you throw your hands up before storming off the living room and grabbing your things, "I'm the selfish one? Then so be it. Do it without me," you threaten but hesitate at the sight of heartbreak on all their faces, the frustration on Bin's face and the tears streaking Hyunjin's face.
You storm out of the apartment, all kinds of feelings stirring within you as you take heavy breathes in and out just so that you don't end up crying while driving back home.
Your heart was breaking and of course, you're left to pick the pieces up yourself. You were terrible to your friends, and worse, you were going to complete lose Chan in two months.
Getting home, you storm into your room nervously, fidgeting about while opening and closing your phone to apologize to them, the guilt now eating you out alive. You bounce on your heels while you look out the window, trying to clear your head pacing around until a small, pink envelope catches the corner of your eye.
Nestled between a book, and a pen atop of it, your eyes widen and heart cracks a bit more. It was your confession letter to Chan.
Pouring your now shattered heart into that letter tucked between the paper material wasn't the easiest, always on the verge of tears and embarrassment but sealing it into finality gave you relief. One that was so coldly snatched out of your hands bare. You shakily pick it up and grab your letter opener, one shitty gag gift from Seungmin 4 Christmases ago—and you open it back up.
Affection spills into the paper, scratches of black ink prominent against the palest pink of papers. Signed at the bottom and expressing your growing, uncontainable feelings for Christopher Bang. It was all so much yet lacking at the same time. Your heart squeezes at the thought of someone else on the aisle with him, someone else to call home and to marry. You couldn't take it.
You open your phone to apologize before it buzzes against your hand and then an influx of notifications flood—leading you to mute your device.
You close your eyes and breathe in, trying to think rationally about your next steps. "One day," you resoundingly tell yourself in a moment of finality, "I'll respond after one whole day,"
You say you're ready to do anything for him but there's a small part of your brain nagging you to be scared. To doubt if he'll really come to your defense. But everytime it crosses your mind, you force your eyes to look at the unsealed love letter—and a new one freshly written—beside each other.
You know Chan loves you too.
For years you've convinced yourself that it's just him being indifferent but after a night out of him being drunk and you being as sober as the day you were born, you eventually had to carry information more precious than anything in this earth. It was the occasional insecurity that drove you to denial but now that you were standing by the chasm of your feelings and his', driven against a corner there was the ultimatum laid upon you.
And you did tell Changbin that you'd rather risk 2 years of jail rather than 10 for breaking and entering, quite possibly aggravated assault just to get to talk to Chan.
And as the days passed by, you stand in your light periwinkle dress given by Felix, handpicked by Olivia and Rachel as your hands tremble while it runs down the tulle fabric of the skirt. It didn't look too inconspicuous or obvious, which was exactly the look you were going for.
Changbin enters the hotel room you guys pitched in to stay in as he looks at you up and down, "You look like a bride's maid,"
"Is that a bad thing?" you nervously fidget with the bracelet attached to your wrist, slowly and increasingly getting antsier by the second. "No. But Chan's grandmother knows what you look like since apparently he has never shut up about you since getting hitched," he explains, "I heard it from one of his cousins who kindly relayed a word in for hyung, although I'm still not allowed to enter the groom's suite,"
"We have a wig to conceal her hair," Hyunjin helpfully supplies while getting dressed. Out of the 7, Changbin was the only groomsman chosen, the rest were mere guests which none of you had expected for Chan's wedding.
Minho clicks his tongue, "Fuck, then it really is a wedding objection,"
"The letter?" you hopefully turn to Changbin as he clears his throat, "I slipped it under his door while the dude guarding it was talking to another family member,"
Felix pops his head from the bathroom, "What was in that letter?" he asks. You shrug and offer him a nervous, tight-lipped smile, "Dunno,"
"Tease," he rolls his eyes. Despite the joking you 8 try to do, it was ultimately futile, the tension in the room too overbearing to try and alleviate it with a few jokes.
Changbin leaves first, called by the rest of the entourage. After an excruciating hour, Jeongin looks at his watch before gulping down, "Guys...I think it's time," he announces as everyone scrambles to their feet, Felix taking your hand before squeezing it in solidarity.
You look up at him, nodding with fire and passion in your eyes, brows furrowed— "Let's do this,"
The way to the venue was enough to make your knees lock up, ridgid against Felix's hold as he tries to make you loosen up a bit more, even being knocked down and tickled slightly by Seungmin. You pass by the bride yelling at one of the bridesmaid in the bridal suite, making you wince. She looked like a damn tiered cake in the worst way possible, along with the horrific screeching spilling from the doorway.
"God I can't believe he's marrying that," Minho bitterly mutters under his breath, the eight of you walking along the pews as casually as possible, making sure to not expose your face too much with a fan pressed to your nose. "I'm gonna throw up," you mutter under your breath as Jeongin taps on the back of your hand.
"We promise, if something goes wrong, we'll never desert you,"
"I'll count on it," you smile softly. The venue was a grand chapel, guests filing in the pews but nobody in close association to Chan except for the eight of you. Your heart couldn't help but sting at the thought of Chan going through such great mental turmoil being forced into a marriage. You don't know what prompted this but you trusted in Bin's word that he didn't want this, perse.
And then it starts. The organ plays, the officiant walking the aisle to make it to the podium, Bible and documents on hand as the others start to do the procession. First came the sponsors, then Chan's grandmother (the old wench), then the bride's whoevers—most you don't even know. Then next was Chan's groomsmen, his distant relatives, then Changbin. His eyes scan over before spotting you near the front as he nods, encouraging you one last time.
And then your breath hitches at your throat. A glum look washes over Jessica and Jack (Chan's parents) as they walk the aisle right after the Bride's parents. And in comes the groom. He was dressed in a black and white tuxedo, purple and gold lining his blazer, and it took your breath away to the point of Jisung having to remind you to breath with a tap of his pinky against yours.
Chan looked tired, one could say miserable, but he still managed to look good. And it frustrated you so, not being able to see him as your groom, at your wedding.
He gets up to the podium and your eyes suddenly meet. You can tell he hesitates and makes sure his eyes don't widen as you shoot him a look that you cam only hope he interprets as 'I am not giving you up,'
Then it starts playing. The bride's march plays and rings through the chapel—sounding like it was made for your funeral, a deathmarch of sorts. The bride's dress is wide and eccentric, a huge bouquet in her hand as she saunters down the aisle slowly, like she was a pageant queen. Last thing she has to do was wave her gloved hand around but you bit your tongue.
The officiant waits for her to arrive, before all of you and the other guests take a seat. You could see the hesitance in Chan's body language as his bride to be pulls him closer a bit forcefully.
He announces the start of the wedding, and you're starting to get terrified that there might not be any chance for you to object, hanging by the side of your seat as Bin glances over at you nervously.
Your sweat starts to bead at your forehead, gulping down the nervousness as you redirect your brain to where it always looked when the doubtful thoughts lingered. You love Chan, and a letter, his presence and yours in his own wedding was testament to that.
However, after reading a few expletives and guidelines, the officiant clears his throat, "If anyone objects to this marriage," he calls out, as if directly talking to you, "Speak now or forever hold your peace,"
And then there was silence. And that was your chance, your last chance—you stand up with shaky hands and then;
All eyes are on you. Horrified looks from everyone in the room but you're only looking at him, never taking your eyes off Chan's—shellshocked beyond belief. And then you open your mouth
"Don't say yes or wait or say a single vow," you look to the officiant, "You need to hear me out,"
He glances at Chan and says, "Speak now,"
"I am not the kind of girl, who should be rudely barging in on a while veil occasion but you!" you point at Chan with desperation before letting your arm fall to you side, "Are not the kind of boy, who should be marrying the wrong girl,"
An uproar starts as the bride looks over to you, fuming. And like a bull in a China shop, you stare directly into her eyes. She grabs one of the candle stands near her and Changbin gets ready to block her attack from you but before she could strike, Chan rushes to you.
He grabs your wrist, a glint of hope in his eyes, before he pulls you with him. Both of you make a run for it, Felix was right for you to not wear heels, darting towards the church doors before anyone could catch up and process what was happening.
"What are you doing?!" Chan's grandmother smacks the side of Chan's father as he winces but stays in his place, glaring at his own mother, "I told you," he hisses, "You can do whatever you want but so could he,"
She was fuming, red in the face as the bride breaks down in humiliation. "Do something about your son!"
"Eomma!" he couldn't help but raise his voice, "Do not take away Chan's last chance to love," he warns, "Do not make him resent you even further if you don't want any regrets in your life,"
Chan keeps on running until you make it to the gardens of the church, far from the wedding chapel as you both catch your breaths, hands on your knees while huffing heavily. He pulls something out of his pocket inside his suit before waving around the preciously folded pink letter Changbin helped you slip in, "Is that what you meant?" he laughs in disbelief, written in ink:
I know a world you wish it was me, don't you? Don't say yes. Run away now, I'll meet you when you're out of the church at the back door.
You gasp out with a laugh, "If you think I was letting you get married? Not in my watch Christopher Bang," you stand up straight before stepping closer towards him, "I can never, ever, let you go," you confess, "Ever since then, you're the only one I've loved, Chris. I would've died if I didn't get to tell you that ever," you confess.
Before you could even get an answer, you feel two strong hands cupping your cheeks as he surges forward and presses his lips against yours. You make a surprised sound but ultimately hook your hands on the back of his neck, pulling him closer and slotting your lips together flush and perfectly, you get kiss drunk immediately. You part for air, tears starting to well up your eyes until you see him fully crying.
"Oh god," he mutters, pulling you into his arms as you feel his chest erratically vibrate, "Y/N, I love you so much. I love you so so so much, for the longest time ever," he gasps out despite his tears before pulling away and cupping your face into his hands, "And I want it to be in every world, for it to be you,"
You finally let your tears fall before you pull him into another kiss, relief, adrenaline and pure, unbridled love flowing and coursing through your veins as you smile against his lips. "I love you," he whispers, barely pulling back this time before pecking you again.
"So glad you were around when they said speak now,"
if you wanna send in a prompt or an ask or just say hi feel free to do so!!

Oc= Trinity
Summary: right person wrong priorities trope :)
Timing
Trinity woke up, saw the reminder on her phone that today was her special date with Chan. Looking beside her to see Chan asleep. “He must have come home late last night. I didn't even notice him get into bed,” Trinity had said to herself, fixed his blanket, and got up to make breakfast.
She headed downstairs to make breakfast, and once she made the waffles, she felt a pair of cold hands wrapped around her waist and a peck on her shoulders. She laughed. “Channie ''
“Good morning, princess,” he said in a tired voice with his head resting on her shoulder. Trinity put their breakfast plates at the table with Chan holding onto her. They both sat down to eat, as Chans phone began to ring. With a slight frown on his face looking at Trin, he picked up.
“Yeah, I'll be right there” He got up and gave Trin a rushed peck. “I love you sorry they need me at the studio” she gave him a sad smile and waved. It hit her like a truck once he closed the door.
“wait Chan!!” she ran outside but it was too late he had already driven away, she sighed and went back inside to start to clean the house to keep herself busy while Chan was away in the studio. After she would be done cleaning she sat down on the couch to catch up on dramas that she was watching. After a while, she got up to get ready for the date that her and Chan had been planning for a while. She was taking her to time to get ready for the special day, she had been waiting for a long time after their last date. Ever since that date they hadn't gone on others in a while, and if it was pre-planned there was always something that would intervene. But Trinity never said anything, she understood that in his field of work there wouldn't be much time to spend with each other. But after a while she had gotten tired of all the excuses the let downs that Chan had given her. They never had a proper date without her being stood up by him because the Kids needed him to help with a song. She was tired of him having to go just overwork himself. The amount of sacrifices that Chan does for his dream made her feel like she had no say in their relationship, because he had always dreamed of this and Trinity always wants to support him.
Once Trin had changed into her outfit she got in her car and drove to the restaurant that she and Chan had agreed on.
(messages with Chan)

After showing up to the restaurant Trin went up to host for the reservation she had made at hers and Chan's favorite restaurant, the one Chan took them too on their first date. As time passed Trin was playing imessages with Felix there was some winning and losing.

(Messages with Chan)
Trin
Almost here?
The waiters are waiting for you to show up
Chan?
Christopher bang
(Delivered)
Then the waiter came around “ma’am would you like to order something or keep waiting for the other person” Trin gave the waiter a sad smile
“I just got the message that he's not coming so how much should i leave for wasting your time”
“nothing don't worry about it have a good night” he smiled. Trin got up and still left a tip for the waiter for being so kind to her after all that. She got in her car and headed home to change out of the clothes and take off the makeup that took her such a long time to do. Taking off everything was one thing, but being stood up and forgotten again on a day that they had planned was another. She was looking forward so much to finally having a date with him. As understanding as she wanted to be she reminded herself that her feelings are valid and she has a right to get upset about what he did.
meanwhile with Chan (in studio/ dinner)
“Hans' part of the song is done, I just need to get everyone else,” Chan said, talking to himself while looking at the screen.
Han and changbin came through the door. “Hey Hyung you wanna go get some food before you continue working” Chan smiled
“yeah do you guys wanna listen to what I have so far?” They both nodded and sat on the couch to listen to the song. The song was coming out great; he felt like everything was going so well. All of his hard work was really paying off with his friends bobbing their heads and vibing to the song. His musical career were finally taking off and his dream were in the palm of his hand.
“That's my part?! really that's so cool Chan” Han said getting up from the couch. They started heading out to the BBQ place that they had decided to go eat at.
“Rock Paper Scissors loser pays for dinner” Changbin demanded. They turned their backs to each other then put their hands with the symbol above their head.
“Okay now take the right hand down and keep your left one up” the waiter said they turned to look at what eachother had. Han and Chan started laughing seeing Changbin had lost the round and had to pay for food. They started ordering food, talking about life, reviewing their songs and talking about future projects they had in mind. After a while Chan checked his pockets to see that he forgot his phone at the studio. After they had finished eating they went back to the studio and the boys were satisfied with food in their stomachs. They got back and sat down and started working on the other members' parts of the song.
“Hey Han what time is it”? Changbin asked Han looked over to his side at Chan's phone and saw all of Trin’s notifications on his phone.
“Its 9:30 Changbin, and Chan Trin has been texting you maybe… check your phone” Chan snatched his phone from Han
“shit shit shit I forgot guys can you guys finished I have to go see Trin” they nodded “yeah we got you man” Chan did not hesitate to go back home.
(Back at Chan’s and Trin’s home)
Trin was in the room she and Chan shared when she heard the front door open. She immediately got up, closed the door to the room locking it.
“Trin!” Chan was desperately yelling. He ran up to the room and knocked at the door, only to hear minor sniffles from Trin. “Hey baby, I'm sorry about today. I got to caught up it slipped my mind I’ll make it up please just let me in'' Trin wanted to let him in but it felt like a repeating pattern, this is a never ending cycle with them. She understands that he is an idol and has very limited time, but she can’t help wonder if he could just make some time for her. But…would he?
Chan and Trin love eachother so much there isn't anything they wouldn't do for eachother. Channie was apologizing over and over again to a point where Trin had gave in and unlocked the door. Chan stepped inside the room and tried to hug her, but Trin stepped back trying to dodge his hug. As much as she wanted to be in his arms and cry, she wouldn’t let herself because this pattern would just continue. She doesnt want him to choose between their relationship and the dream that he waited for so long for. She couldn’t make him do that.
“Hey hey-“ he gets cut off by Trin.
“Christopher, before you say anything, I want to tell you this, I’m so happy I met you; you are sweet, funny, caring, and dorky everything with you felt right like I had found the one,”she said with a soft small smile and tears staining her cheeks. “But we can't be doing this anymore you don't have enough time for us. I don't want to be the reason that makes you lose focus or holds you back from being big, don't act like you can’t see that you guys are getting huge and the bigger you get, the less time we get to see each other. Your guys’ next comeback is soon, your schedule is already tight as it, please don't make this harder for me,” she said trying not to cry. Christopher’s legs felt shaky. He was hoping he didn't hear everything right, that maybe he was just spacing out. When he heard her sniffling it made him snap out of his thought. Seeing her like this made him feel like he wanted to die for forgetting a day that could've been special.
Christopher couldn't say anything his world was crumbling down he felt like he froze at that moment but immediately snapped out of it. “I see- umm,” he paused trying to keep his voice from quivering. “if this is how you feel and think it’s better, I understand” He was trying to hold everything back, the tears, the pleads, and the shaking “Can- can I at least hug you one last time?” Chan said, wanting to hold her in his arms one last time, knowing he would miss her. She nodded and hugged him. In his arms she had to internally fight herself from taking it all back. He laid his head on her shoulder, trying to take in as much of her as he could. “I’ll be waiting for us, I love you Trini.” His voice cracked with the tears streaming down his face, he had finally lost control. Letting go of her and lowering his hat to hide his face. He solemnly waved at Trinity and walked out the door. Without looking back.
Trinity’s legs gave out the moment the door closed, she was by herself. It was really over.
