Not Pretending
Paige bueckers x female reader
Hope this doesn't disappoint! 🙏🏾
Sorry for any mistakes🙃
✿✼:*゚:.。..。.:*・゚゚・* *・゚゚・*:.。..。.:*゚:*:✼✿
The dim glow of the bar’s neon lights painted the room in shades of amber and red, the bass of the music reverberating through the floor as people crowded around tables and leaned against the bar. You were nursing your drink, trying to ignore the knot tightening in your stomach. Across the room, there they were: your ex, laughing and leaning into someone new, their hand brushing against hers in a way that felt far too familiar.
"Of all the places..." you muttered to yourself, tilting your glass back and downing what was left of your drink.
“Did you say something?” Paige asked from beside you, leaning her elbows casually on the counter. She was dressed in her usual relaxed streetwear, her blonde hair tucked into a braided pony. You had met her a few times before through mutual friends, and she’d somehow ended up as your companion for the evening after everyone else had bailed.
“Nothing. Just talking to my drink,” you replied with a forced laugh, setting your glass down.
Paige raised a brow, following your line of sight. “Oh, yikes. Is that your ex?”
“Unfortunately,” you said, trying to act unaffected. “And look who’s already moved on. A whole two months, and they’re out here playing house with someone new.”
Paige grimaced. “That’s rough.”
“Tell me about it,” you muttered.
You tried to focus on anything else, but every laugh and touch between your ex and their date felt like salt in an open wound. You shifted in your seat, your jaw clenching as you turned away.
“You okay?” Paige asked, her tone softening.
“Yeah, totally fine. Just love seeing my replacement in 4K,” you said sarcastically, reaching for your empty glass before realizing it was, well, empty.
Paige chuckled. “You’re taking this like a champ, though. No tears or dramatic storming out.”
“Oh, I’m dramatic,” you shot back. “Just trying to figure out my next move.”
Paige tilted her head, her curious eyes narrowing. “What kind of move are we talking about here?”
You opened your mouth to answer but froze. An idea—a completely ridiculous, impulsive, and chaotic idea—popped into your head.
“Okay, don’t laugh,” you started, leaning closer to her.
“That’s a great way to make me want to laugh,” Paige teased, but she gestured for you to continue.
“What if...” you began, voice dropping, “you and I pretended to be together? Just for tonight. Nothing serious, just... to make them squirm a little.”
Paige blinked at you, then tilted her head back with a laugh. “Are you serious?”
“Dead serious,” you said, your eyes locked on hers. “Look, you don’t have to do anything crazy. Just... maybe hang out with me for a bit, be my fake girlfriend, and if they look over, we sell it.”
Paige smirked, clearly amused by your sudden proposal. “Okay, two things. One, you’re bold as hell for asking me this. And two... what’s in it for me?”
“I’ll owe you one,” you said quickly. “Big time. Like, I’ll buy you smoothies for a week or whatever you want. Just—please?”
Paige sighed dramatically, but there was a glimmer of mischief in her eyes. “Alright, fine. Let’s do it. But you better make this worth my while.”
“Deal,” you said, standing up and holding out your hand. Paige took it, her grip firm as she followed you away from the bar.
You made sure to walk past your ex’s table, your hand still in Paige’s. As you approached, your ex glanced up, their expression shifting from surprise to something you couldn’t quite place.
“Oh, hey,” you said casually, as if you hadn’t noticed them until just now. “Didn’t expect to see you here.”
“Uh, yeah,” your ex stammered, their eyes darting between you and Paige.
“And who’s this?” Paige asked smoothly, slipping her arm around your waist and smiling at your ex.
“This is...” You trailed off, waiting for your ex to fill in the blanks.
“Emily,” they said, gesturing to their date.
“Nice to meet you, Emily,” Paige said, her tone friendly but laced with just enough confidence to make it clear she wasn’t just a random friend. “I’m Paige.”
Your ex opened their mouth to respond, but before they could, you turned to Paige with a grin. “Baby, want to grab a booth? I’m kind of over standing around.”
“Anything for you,” Paige replied, her voice light but convincing as she pressed a quick kiss to your temple.
You swore you heard your ex choke on their drink as Paige led you away, her hand still firmly around your waist.
Once you were seated, you couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re a natural.”
Paige shrugged, her smile smug. “What can I say? I commit to the bit.”
“Well, thanks for committing. I owe you one,” you said, leaning back in the booth.
She smiled, her hands stuffed into her jacket pockets. “Good. Because I’m holding you to it.”
“No worries,” Paige said, taking a sip of her drink. “Honestly, that was kind of fun. Your ex looked like they were about to combust.”
“Good. They deserve it,” you said, smirking
______________
The night wore on with the two of you sitting close in the booth, trading stories and jokes, the comfortable banter punctuated by occasional glances from your ex across the room. At first, you thought you were imagining it, but each time you looked, there they were—staring, their expression unreadable.
“Yup, they’re watching again,” Paige murmured, sipping her drink.
You leaned in slightly, lowering your voice. “Think they’re jealous yet?”
Paige smirked, her blue eyes sparkling. “If they’re not, they’re in denial. You’re killing it tonight, by the way.”
You laughed softly. “I think you’re the one doing the heavy lifting here. Thanks for being so... convincing.”
“Convincing?” Paige tilted her head, her lips curling into a playful grin. “Come on, I’m practically Oscar-worthy.”
“Okay, fine. You’re a natural,” you said, rolling your eyes but smiling despite yourself.
Her gaze lingered on you a second longer than necessary, and you felt your stomach do an unexpected flip. You brushed it off, chalking it up to the adrenaline of the situation.
As the night wound down, the two of you finally decided to leave. Paige stood first, offering you her hand with an exaggerated flourish. “M’lady.”
You laughed but took her hand anyway, letting her pull you to your feet. The warmth of her touch lingered longer than it should have, and as you made your way toward the exit, you couldn’t help but feel hyper-aware of how close she was to you.
Then, out of the corner of your eye, you noticed your ex again. They weren’t just glancing this time—they were outright staring, their jaw tight, their date clearly trying to get their attention.
Without thinking, you stopped in your tracks, your heart racing.
“What?” Paige asked, turning to you, her brow furrowed.
“They’re still looking,” you whispered, your voice laced with irritation.
Paige raised a brow. “So? Let them look. You’ve already won.”
But you weren’t satisfied. Something about their gaze, their audacity to act so unbothered when you knew they were bothered, made you want to take things one step further.
Before you could second-guess yourself, you turned to Paige and grabbed her by the front of her jacket, pulling her down toward you.
“What are you—” Paige started, but her words were cut off as your lips pressed against hers.
For a second, it was just you making a point—a kiss meant to sell the charade, to make your ex regret every decision they’d ever made. But then Paige kissed you back.
Her hands found your waist, pulling you closer as she deepened the kiss, and suddenly, it wasn’t about your ex anymore. It was about the way her lips felt against yours, soft and sure, like she’d been waiting for this moment as much as you had. The world around you faded, the noise of the bar and the weight of the past dissolving into nothing.
When you finally broke apart, your breath came in short bursts, and Paige’s eyes were searching yours, her cheeks flushed.
“Are we even pretending anymore?” she asked, her voice low, almost a whisper.
You shook your head, a small smile tugging at your lips. “Not at all.”
Paige chuckled softly, her forehead resting against yours. “Good. Because I’m definitely not faking that.”
You laughed, your hand still clutching her jacket as you glanced toward the bar. Your ex was no longer looking—probably too stunned to process what they’d just seen.
“Guess we really sold it, huh?” you teased.
“Yeah, but I think I want a few more practice runs,” Paige said with a smirk.
You rolled your eyes, but your heart was hammering in your chest. “Smooth.”
Paige grinned, stepping back but keeping her hand in yours as you walked out of the bar together. The cool night air hit your face, but it didn’t matter. You were too busy stealing glances at the girl beside you, wondering how a fake relationship had turned into something that felt a little too real—and hoping she felt the same.
As if reading your mind, Paige squeezed your hand. “So... about those smoothies you owe me.”
You laughed, the tension between you easing into something warm and comfortable. “I’ll buy you as many as you want. Just... maybe come with me again next time. You know, in case my ex decides to show up somewhere else.”
Paige smirked, leaning closer. “Deal. But next time, we’re not pretending.”
“Not even a little bit.”
I take requests!🧡

Porn with no plot 😇

Wc: 1.1k
— 🐀
At this point you’re not sure nam-gyu remembers why you were fighting, the drugs in your system combined with the feeling of his cock shoved inside of you making both of your brains fuzzy, you could tell he was getting antsy —impatient even. You hadn’t moved since his cock had slipped inside of you, he didnt deserve it, Not until he apologized. His hands away from any part of you, you made it very clear you would have no problem kicking him out of your apartment , it wouldn’t be the first time he was on your doorstep begging for you to let him in.
You heard him whine from under you, obviously trying to keep himself from squirming. You could feel his cock twitch every time you shifted a certain way, you wanted to roll your eyes at how pathetic he was. His eyebrows were scrunched together, his eyes squeezed shut trying not to fall apart but you knew he would sooner than later.
“Don’t be like that, stop being a cunt nam-gyu look at me.” You teased.
Bringing your hand up to his jaw. You chuckled as he glared at you, his hands twitching by his sides. You know how much he wanted to flip you over and fuck your brains out but you also knew he wouldn’t cause his ego means too much to him.
“Fuck you.” Nam-gyu growled, his jaw clenched his eyes still glaring. You stared down at him blankly before you started laughing, you’d might as well have tears in your eyes at this point.
“You’d love that wouldn’t you.” you joked.
You rolled your hips, a smile still on your face as nam-gyu let out a strangled noise. You moved your upper body closer to his, your hand leaving his jaw finally. Leaning to whisper in his ear.
“Say you’re sorry and I’ll fuck you.”
He made a noise of defiance, jerking his head away from your’s. You leaned back up and frowned, reaching down and gripping his hair. He winced at the feeling, your grip tight as you pulled his face towards yours.
“Don’t do that nam-gyu, you owe me an apology for what you did.” You insisted.
When He didn’t answer your grip on his hair got tighter until he broke.
“Fuck—fine! Im sorry.” He pleaded tears gathering in his eyes from the pain.
“You don’t even know what you’re apologizing for.” You chuckled.
You knew he didn’t and you were right, the look on his face gave him away. It was the face he always made when he was about to lie himself out of trouble. You knew him far too well for far too long for that to work on you. He didn’t know but you didn’t mind reminding him, your hands moving to his chest.
“Remember when you left me high off my ass on the bathroom floor of club pentagon tonight because you had “better things to do than babysit someone who cant handle their drugs”, hm?” You tilted your head as you spoke.
You were tempted to get off his dick kick him out right now just because he didn’t remember, luckily a nice girl stayed with you until you were sober enough to walk and he’s lucky you’re somewhat sober now or else you’re sure you’d be throwing his shit out of your bedroom window; you probably still will if he pisses you off again.
“You’re still mad about that?” Nam-gyu laughed.
His laughter didnt last long as you brought your hands to his throat and fucking squeezed. His eyes widened as you smiled down at him, his fingers trying to pry your hands off of him.
“C’mon say sorry.” You chuckled, doing your best to keep your hands where they were.
“Fuck— im— sor—sorry.” He tried his best to wheeze out.
Satisfied with his shitty apology you release your grip on his neck leaving him sputtering for breath and coughing. You looked down at him with disinterest, your fingers drawing shapes into his stomach. It took him a little bit to get back to normal, his eyes still wide looking at you. He opened his mouth to talk but you cut him off before he even began.
“I could feel your dick twitching the entire time i dont wanna hear anything you fucking slut.” You rolled your eyes.
You barely had time to register him flipping the both of you over, his hands on your wrists keeping you still. His face was unreadable but you could tell he was fucking pissed. It didn’t take long for him to start fucking his cock in you at a brutal pace, his ringed fingers moving to to dig into your thighs, You were definitely going to have bruises on them in the morning.
Your fingers digging into his shoulders kept you grounded, your jaw dropped a bit has he fucked you into your mattress. He was breathing heavy above you, his head hung with hair framing his face. You could hear him curse under his breath a few times before raising his head back up and flipping his hair back to where it wouldn’t obscure his vision.
“Looking a little tired nam-gyu—“ you laughed.
You were cut off by a particularly rough thrust, jolting you backward. You could nam-gyu had enough if your bullshit but that only made you smile harder as he got angrier.
“Stupid fucking bitch, always running your mouth.” Nam-gyu retorted, gripping your jaw.
It hurt to keep smiling, his fingers digging into your face, but you didn’t care. Your mouth open now as you drool all over his hand. He looks at you disgusted before letting go to wiping the drool all over your face. You laughed as best as you could with his cock still being shoved into you at an alarming pace. Your breathing was as labored as nam-gyus at this point, you could tell he was as close to cumming as you were.
Your hands went to the hair on his neck, he probably wasnt even feeling anything but you wrapped around his cock as you tugged at it. His eyes were trained on where your bodies met, occasionally looking up at your face. His hips were stuttering now, the way you were squeezing his cock not making it any easier. For the first time that night he leaned down and caught your lips in a bruising kiss, you decided to take pity on him and return it. After the kiss was broken you took advantage of the position you were in, digging your teeth into his shoulder smiling up at him when he pushed you back with a glare.
It wasnt long after that you both came, nam-gyu pulling out to cum on your stomach. The room was still, the only sound being both of your loud breathing. He rolled off of you a minute later, taking his place on your other side. You stared up at the ceiling for a while before getting up and making your way to the bathroom.
“Where are you going?” Nam-gyu asked out of breath.
“Shower.”

Expanding on being Olrox's best friend.
My genuine belief is this friendship would form on mutual respect. It's clear Olrox is someone who doesn't take his true loyalties lightly. And he is beyond tired of people who are power hungry or buy into group mentalities.
I believe you would have met Olrox during a time of hardship for yourself. You being a humble individual who merely wanted to exist. Though, of course, the world wouldn't make such a thing so simple.
Olrox has basically spent his entire life forming alliances to get by. He found you trapped as an abstract entity being used by vampires. He found it distasteful but didn't do a thing at first.
Discovering you had a consciousness was a point of intrigue for him. You could think and feel. Hearing you speak wasn't surprising but amused him nonetheless.
You two held conversations now and again. It became obvious to you that Olrox merely sought out for himself and couldn't care less about the ambitions of the vampires that held you. You decided quite quickly you liked him.
He quipped about your abusers and boasted about his lover. Admittedly, it rubbed you the wrong way he sat by as you were made into a toy. But this man was the closest thing to what it was like to be treated like a person, so you clung to your brief interactions.
Plus, he was funny. At least you were getting something out of this. Olrox was keeping you sane.
You within an inch of your mental capacity each day. You were in pain and long past tolerant of others.
You were aware of what happened to Olrox's lover. You have no idea why he told you. He did it so matter of factly.
The way he always smirked when talking to you was replaced with a bitter scowl. His demeanor was a far cry from how playful and snarky he was before.
Instinctively, you offered your wish for his peace with the matter. You even complimented his lover. You saw him briefly. You were....more perceptive than average, let's put it that way.
Olrox's expression was unreadable but it was clear he absorbed your words.
Olrox had been put in charge of commanding you at some point. You spent more time together. Your being was still confined but your consciousness good stretch for eons.
You didn't mind Olrox commanding you. He was far kinder and just did what was necessary. Perhaps he wasn't exactly overly familiar. But he treated you as something akin to a lieutenant. Rather than a dog.
You formed a habit of calling him "master".
He never said anything. But somehow you could tell it bothered him. You thought it was because he wasn't fond enough of you to even consider you a servant. Still. You were attached and refused to stop.
One day you were pushed too far by the vampires that kept you. You were in agony.
After they left, you begged Olrox to set you free. You called him master like you always did. His green eyes pierced into you. You must've looked absolutely pathetic. Even without a face or body.
Something about the way he stood there enraged you. And the next time the other vampires came to make use of you, you did away with them all. Many more came to attack but your blind rage stopped them.
Olrox's smile as he watched you was irritating.
As much as you liked the guy, you were beyond tired of being viewed as a pass time. You aimed for him. And funnily enough, you did your fair share of damage.
Olrox got close enough to your prison. Imagine your surprise when he released you.
"You almost killed me." The laugh in his voice was baffling.
You had a better chance of doing that now that you were free. You didn't find it worth being impressed over. At least, not from his perspective.
You blinked as he simply turned to walk away.
Odd as it was, you instinctively thanked your master. Your previous rage was dwarfed by your confusion at Olrox's contradictory actions. All you could muster in your daze was gratitude.
Olrox replied with saying he had no idea who you were referring to.
You blinked.
"You're smart enough to slaughter a group of fools beholden to their delusions of grandeur. And another who stood by even as your screams carried over the ocean." Olrox smirks. "I think you're long past that."
You blinked. Smart, he says.
Olrox shrugged at your confusion. "You choose now of all nights to end them. Or us. I suppose I'm included in that. You've been watching the moon, haven't you? Being free now...Why, I don't think the night has ever been so beautiful. Wouldn't you agree?"
You were baffled at what he was implying. You insisted on calling him master.
He tutted your fixation on that.
"That's what no one ever told you. You don't need masters."
You gaped.
He smiled. "You figured that out all on your own. Everyone here is dead. You made an attempt on my life for my inaction. In what world does someone like that need anyone?"
You went quiet. Olrox was going to leave. You watched him go.
"You may follow me. If you wish." Olrox said without turning or stopping.
Your breath hitched at him reading your desires so easily.
"On one condition."
You bristled. Of course no one ever offered company without a catch-
"Never call me 'master' again." Olrox frowned pointedly at you.
You gaped. An odd request. But...You found yourself silently agreeing, following quickly.
Olrox smiles. A lot softer than you were used to. "I would like to see an actual form in front of me."
You blinked. Was that his way of...encouraging you?
You flushed, solidifying yourself the moment you were outside.
Olrox hummed. "Imagine hiding something this captivating. You're foolish about the strangest things."
You felt you should have been offended. But tears found their way to you. As shrewd as he put it, he undoubtedly called you beautiful.
You two knew each other for centuries and now you were attached to the hip in the open world. You were there for the murder of Julia. Olrox thanked you greatly for assisting in tracking her down but told you to stay out of the fight. You kept to the shadows and proudly watched your beloved friend triumph.
Richter was hardly conscious of everything around him. He froze at Olrox kneeling before him. Your presence felt more like a dream rather than what he was actually seeing. He wasn't sure he had actually seen another vampire there. It was intentional on your part, you hadn't wanted to give Olrox trouble and used your abilities the moment you spotted Julia. Your eyes have haunted Richter's nightmares for years. Though he is unable to tell if it was Olrox's or not. He doesn't remember you.
Mentioned this before, but Olrox allows you to hang onto him.
It's incredibly common place for you to rush to Olrox and put your hands on his chest and lean on him.
He responds with a hand on the small of your back. He'll fully embrace you if you've been separated during battle.
He will full on guard you with his body if it is needed. Though, it's rare. You are a strong vampire.
Full disclosure if he despises someone that flirts with you. Massive protective brother energy.
"Cunts need washings before they speak."
"Olrox!"
Olrox and you use endearments on one another. "Love" and "darling" are the most prominent. But pick your poison of birds, flowers or gems you compare each other to.
You were not amused by Olrox targeting Mizrak. Out of all the men he chose to ove on" with, a hypocritical human of the cloth wasn't in your pickings of the list. You saw Olrox running into his bad habits with him. It worried you.
You had a distaste for Mizrak from the start. It was sealed when he barked at Olrox.
You hissed. "Small mutts shouldn't bark so loud."
Olrox couldn't find it in himself to listen at first. It had been a while, but you knew he was still grieving.
You stayed by his side to offer support but you were waiting for him to throw the whole man out.
You whimpered and touched Olrox's forehead after what Drolta did to him.
"Olrox, love, your pretty little head is hidden."
You were enraged but simply allowed Olrox to take a breath and hold your hand while offering a soft kiss.
It's actually funny how much you have a "you can do better" attitude regarding Mizrak.
To a point Olrox has tickled you with a feather when you go on too long.
Thankfully, your intervention wore Olrox down and he was thinking far more clearly.
Either you healed Mizrak or let him die peacefully.
Regardless, he was weighing down your best friend over your dead blood sucking body. Watching Olrox chose immortality for someone a second time wasn't something you were going to allow.
I feel like being Olrox's best friend would be so nice. Olrox having all that love and trust in you to keep you close and being able to vulnerable. Olrox is the type of friend that you would be attached to the hip with at all times and would be so gentle and caring. Especially considering it's clear Olrox's orbit is scarce due to his past and how he feels about people in general. So his best friend is someone he'd be incredibly protective of and would cherish.
Olrox and his best friend would have tons of witty banter that both pokes fun at the other while also remaining wholesome and affectionate. Though the ones directed at others is ruthless and cutting. Olrox is for sure that friend you sit by and judge others with. You two have this telepathic connection (either literal or metaphorical) where you don't even need to look at each other and you just- react the same way to situations and people's stupidity, both facial expressions and body language. You two are menaces when it comes to being in other's presence. Regardless if it's holding a conversation or being in combat.
Olrox has gently tutted you to behave yourself on rare occasions but you can tell by his grin that he was absolutely encouraging your mischief. He even whispers his own quip in your ear every now and then, adoring when you giggle in response. You two are the biggest gossip buddies in private, making each other howl with laughter discussing what you think about recent events or the people you've ran into. Olrox would be helping you either bathe, do your hair, or simply sharing the bed with you all the while.
Olrox's voice is noticeably softer and thinner with you. Olrox keeps you close by having a gentle hand on your shoulder, waist, or having you cling to his arm. Olrox will often pull you to him and kiss your temple. Or on the side of your cheek. Either as a simple gesture of affection or giving you a swift goodbye in the rare times you two have to separate. Olrox will also hold you to his chest if you're hurting. Olrox seems harsh but for you he actively practices the utmost tenderness when comforting you.
Goodness forbid someone else caused your distress. Olrox will be absolutely feral if anyone dares cause you harm. You are his dear friend and he cherishes your spot in his life. He'll be damned if he lets someone disrupt that, even in the smallest ways.

notes: hi there.
(series masterlist) | (📂 the sophomore year)
(prev)
the past couple of days have been empty. eerily lonely at times when she wakes up just to drag her feet downstairs of her parent’s home to get a meal by herself and make her way back up after. prior to their predicament, she had planned so many activities to do with logan over their week off.
she turns over when she wakes up, just like every other morning and picks up her phone. hoping, wishing, desperately waiting for a specific text message to dawn her. there are several other notifications but they just don’t seem to matter.
when will logan text, when will he apologise— more importantly, when can they be best friends again?
she misses him.
she’s wondered over the past few days since they fell out mid-race, how other people get through something like this. it’s never been a problem, not for them, because they made a promise.
sure, they were young, but it was easy to think that they would never let their careers get the better of them.
she remembers speaking in hushed whispers, as if it was a crime, promising one another that they would always be best friends no matter what. they would never let what happened to others happen to them.
she hasn’t spoken to oscar much either. she tries to lie to herself and say that he’s probably busy spending time with lily and his family, but a smaller part of her assumes that he’s pulling away because of logan. oscar tries to convince her and say that isn’t the case, but she’s slowly starting to believe her lie.
she lays awake for some time wondering if logan missed her the same, or if reaching out had ever crossed his mind. she can’t be the only one feeling this way, right?
her finger hovers over his caller id, going back and forth the decision of dropping him a call. but she is still insistent that she is not wrong. he clearly clipped her car, so why should she? everyone could see that but him.
it hurts, but it hurts more than when she would get into days-long arguments with oscar.
she hasn’t had her own share of a heartbreak, but somehow hurts in the way that some of her friends would describe it to her. it’s more than the pain you feel when you’re falling out with a best friend.
instead, she locks her phone and gets out of bed to start whatever is left of her day.
is this really how it’s going to be? losing his best friend over one crash out of the many others they’ve had since they met?
he stares at the ceiling with stubby resting his paws on his stomach, pondering if he truly is doing the right thing by holding out.
but every time he thinks of finally apologising, he remembers every other time that he had to put aside his pride just to keep her around. not that it truly ever mattered — their friendship always comes above all else — he just finds it incredibly unfair.
how about this once, she is the one who puts her pride aside to keep their friendship? does it really have to always be him?
then he starts to wonder if he is the only one who thinks of their friendship this way. maybe he’s the only one holding onto something that’s dwindled over the years; she has new friends anyway.
logan misses her. the apartment simply isn’t the same without him waking up to his door opened slightly after she borrowed one of his hoodies to wear for a walk, or the shrill baby voice she likes to use when talking to their pets, or the whining and pouting she gives him when she doesn’t want to go out by herself but refuses to ask him if he wants to come with her.
sometimes he misses her more than a best friend should. though, that’s not really the point.
it makes sense now to him how friends fall apart when they’re in the same sport. but even with just one example, there’s also another pair of best friends who seem closer than they were before.
now he is conflicted. none of it makes sense at all.
but only time can tell if he is doing the right thing. or, if she would even realise that their friendship should be greater than whatever the hell the situation is right now.
“you’re telling me that you and rocky have not spoken for an entire week?”
logan shrugs, “yeah, i guess.”
alex’s gaze follows logan as he walks across the room to take a seat, an eyebrow raising in confusion at his nonchalance. “and you don’t plan to?”
“not unless she reaches out first.”
logan lifts his gaze from his hands and meets alex’s eyes. alex doesn’t even know how to go about the situation anymore – it seems like he’s said everything he could say to logan to try and amend their friendship. yet, there’s still nothing he says that could convince him otherwise.
it would be a shame to see a friendship fall apart over a crash during a race.
not everyone can have what they have and maintain it for as long as they have. of course, he knows, he’s best friends with george.
a week into their 2-week break and she is holding out longer than he’s expected. he’s very apologetic for the fact that her car had spun and hit the wall, but it’s just unfair that he was expected to be the one apologising for the crash itself.
the crash was caused by 2 people, not just him. he’s sure there’s something there that she could have done better to avoid the accident.
“i’m heading out to grab lunch with george after this,” alex grins, “would you like to come with us?”
“sure.”
she swings her hand up to stop the man from opening his mouth to speak to her, the door in her other hand. “don’t tell me you’re here for what i think you’re here for.”
“i’m not?” george grins with hesitation, dropping the pint of ice cream he’d gotten to soften her up for the conversation he wants to have. “come on, you need to speak to logan.”
she sighs and rests her hands on her hips. “i know sebastian sent you.”
he presses his lips together. “no, he didn’t.”
“it’s because i’m ignoring his text messages,” she scowls. yet she still takes a step back and opens the door wider and gestures for him to come inside. “i’m not stupid.”
george walks in, handing her the pint of chocolate ice cream he’d picked up. “it’s not your favourite brand, but it’s still chocolate ice cream,” he mutters. he turns as she closes the front door and huffs. “you need to speak to logan before all of this gets out of hand too fast and you regret it.”
“does he regret sending me into the wall?” she raises an eyebrow. when george continues to stare at her, blinking blankly, she nods and turns on her heel to walk into the kitchen. “you know this wasn’t my fault — you saw the footage, george! that’s so unfair!”
he sighs. he’s never been in this situation with alex, but he can only imagine how his world would around if they were. sure, it’s hard to get past something like this, especially at the stage of their career, but he just isn’t sure how to help either.
yes, logan had been the one to close in on her on the track, but why couldn’t they just recognise they were both wrong one way or another?
“okay, fine. whatever,” george says exasperatedly. “actually, i’m here to ask if you wanted to get lunch with alex and i later.”
she raises an eyebrow with a small smile. “sure!”
“sorry,” george laughs airily, putting his phone face down on the table. he moves into the booth alongside the younger girl. “alex is running a little late.”
“that’s alright,” she mutters, reaching out for the menu. she opens the menu before it dawns on her.
she lowers her menu and turns stiffly to george who is reaching for his menu and takes his seat. “what?”
“why are you sitting next to me?” she raises an eyebrow and throws her head back slightly.
george puts a hand to his chest. “do you hate me?”
she shakes her head. “no! it’s not like that,” she scowls, “you always sit next to alex when we get lunch.”
he tilts his head and narrows his eyes as he pretends to think. “do i?” he scrunches his nose. “i don’t always sit next to him.”
but he knows that she poses an incredible point. he, however, hadn’t expected her to be so observant, as opposed to her typical carefree and non-analytical nature. perhaps this entire fallout has changed her slightly, especially without logan always next to her.
she hums without another word, confusion still written on her face, before she looks at her menu again.
she’s been to this restaurant numerous times since moving to london. it’s actually her favourite. a classic between her and logan, always making it out of their way to get food here when they’re back in town.
she doesn’t actually need the menu — she orders the same damn thing every time, swearing to herself that she will try something new her next visit. which she is something she abides by most times, always ordering a new side dish or by forcing logan to get something she wants but is too scared to try.
“i thought you would have memorised that menu front and back considering how much you come here,” george jokes, his eyes darting from his menu to the entrance of the restaurant.
he shakes his leg in anticipation, aimlessly flipping through the pages yet he still has not retained one dish in his head. it’s never going to work.
in the back of his head, he hears alex’s voice telling him again and again that it would.
“funny. that’s the same thing logan says whenever we eat here.”
truthfully, george hadn’t even brought logan up in the time they’ve been together. he’s pleasantly surprised that she was the first to address him again after their initial conversation at her parents’ front door.
“does he?” george grins slightly.
“yeah,” she lifts her head, lips pursed together as she stares into the distance, “i always make him order something new that i could try because i’m too scared it won’t be to my liking.”
he’s surprised. he didn’t think logan could come up in such a peaceful topic at this time of day. he thought that she would keep it hostile even when speaking of him.
“that’s very thoughtful."
she grins. “yes, i guess he is a very thoughtful guy.”
george sits up and adjusts the sleeves of his sweatshirt. he clears his throat. “speaking of logan-”
“no.”
“what?” he cried incredulously with a hand in the air. “you brought him up first!”
“no.”
“fine.”
oh, they’re not going to eat at her favourite restaurant, are they? logan furrows his eyebrows as he’s led forward by alex and he increasingly gets more nervous as they get closer.
spending this much time away from her has made her miss her so much. he’s almost afraid that it might really be the end of their friendship at all.
he’s never eaten here without her. he acts annoyed all the time when she forces him to try a new dish every visit while she has the luxury of sticking to her comfort food, but truthfully, he finds himself searching for her voice in the silence.
can he really have a meal without her at her favourite restaurant? surely not. yet he follows alex inside without another word. he nervously looks around, finding remnants of all the meals he’s had with her here.
he sees george in the far corner of the restaurant, lifting his arm to wave at logan with a small grin. alex abruptly stops walking that makes logan halt before he can run into his back.
the expression on alex’s face is something logan has only seen a couple of times on the older guy. the thai sucks in a deep breath and holds his hands up in the air, “don’t be mad.”
logan raises an eyebrow. “why would i be mad?” he tilts his head as he tries to come up with a reason that assumption would come up. “it’s just a restaurant, i can eat here without rocky.”
“yeah,” alex nods with his lips pressed together. “that’s the thing.”
just then, a shrill and disgusted ‘what’ throws the relaxing aura of the restaurant off.
he knows that voice anywhere. he swears he is haunted by that scream in his sleep when he’s done something he shouldn’t have and is trying to keep a secret.
a head pops out of the plants in the divider. she turns her head and finds logan, standing in the middle of the restaurant just as shell-shocked.
so to hell with their argument, right? he should just apologise and get it done and over with then he can get his best friend back. and all will be right in the world.
logan swears that her gaze softened when she saw him standing there. he has to reason out with himself not to run over and pull her into the tightest hug he’s ever trapped her in. a lot has happened in the past week, and every time he thinks of reaching out, he hesitates.
in hindsight, why does he hesitate? this is literally his best friend in the whole world.
and she swears she will jump over this damned divider to get to logan. should she punch him or jump into his arms for a hug? this might be the longest she hasn’t seen the boy and the feeling of familiarity washes over her in relief.
“logan,” she says his name in a soft and airy sigh. the corners of her lips curl into a small smile as her shoulders drop from their tense position. “hi.”
“hi.”
his heart starts beating faster when she pushes past george to get out of the booth. alex jogs to where george stands, cozying up next to his best friend as they watch the scene unfold. they’ve never tried to parent-trap anyone into reconciliation before. this is a first and if they succeed, they would never shut up about it.
she walks over to him, smile still intact with her back straight. she stops right in front of him and her hands clasped in front of her.
her smile grows and she takes another breath. she can’t seem to find the right words to say to him now that he’s finally in front of her. “hi.”
logan grins, “it’s nice to finally see you again. i missed you.”
“i missed you too.” she presses her lips together and glances down at her feet momentarily. she raises her gaze again.
when george had finally told her logan was joining them for lunch, a million things ran through her mind. half of her thoughts wanted to start fighting all over again but the latter just wanted to sit down in silence and make up for all of the time they’d lost.
“did we really get ambushed by alex and george?” she snorts softly, looking over her shoulder where they stand with one another, staring intensely at them.
logan grins with a small nod. “i’m surprised they pulled it off, really.”
silence looms over them once again — the implications of the crash threatens another fight. logan’s heart starts beating faster as he remembers again why exactly he’s very persistent on getting an apology. just an apology, that’s all he’s asking for.
there is simply so much more to it than just the younger girl putting her pride aside over the crash. sure, whatever, he can come out and admit that it was ultimately because of a mistake from him on the track. what he can’t accept is the girl's unwillingness to initiate reconciliation.
does she truly care so little for him to be a part of his life?
“let’s go and get lunch,” she says, beckoning him forward to where alex and george are. she takes a couple of steps away. “i was really sad at the thought of eating here without you.”
“is that all you have to say?” logan raises an eyebrow. he stays planted where he stands. she whirls around in confusion. “we haven’t talked the longest in our lives and you’re just going to invite me to the table and act like we didn’t just have a fight?”
she presses his lips together and clenches her jaw. “if anything, you’re the one ignoring it — you caused the crash, remember?”
logan scoffs. how shallow. “oh, get over the crash already! you seriously don’t even see why this entire thing is an issue? are you seriously so stupid?”
“we were so close,” george mutters in a soft sigh. “why are they stupid?”
“i wish i knew.” alex purses his lips together before he steps away from the table. he clasps his hands together and steps in between the two, just as she took a step forward to answer logan. he holds his arms out to her to keep her distance from logan. “okay, i see it’s still too soon.”
“it wouldn’t be too soon if she could just realise how insensitive she’s being!” logan scoffs softly, pointing an accusatory finger at the girl. he’s fully aware of the eyes watching them in the restaurant. “i know racing is everything to you, but i swear if you keep acting like this, you’re going to lose every single person you love.”
she scoffs, taking a step back. her eyes start to glisten, making logan start to feel bad. “of course, it’s everything to me, i dedicated my entire life to get where i am.”
“yeah, so much so that you’re willing to burn bridges to stay where you are.” logan turns on his heel. “i will have lunch at home instead, alex. thanks for inviting me out.”
“if you missed her and she missed you, what’s the problem?” oscar turns the seat around to face logan. “good on alex and george for trying to get you guys back together while i was gone. i really thought all this would blow over by now.”
logan shrugs. he turns his phone over and over on his stomach, swaying back and forth. “you don’t understand. she’s changed.”
“you keep saying that, mate,” oscar sighs tiredly. he throws himself back into his seat. “i still don’t know what you mean.”
logan feels a little silly. saying it out loud suddenly feels so superficial and overtly sensitive. “it’s stupid.”
“well, if you’re letting this fight drag out this long, there has to be a reason behind it.” oscar smiles slightly and nods at him, truly curious as to why all of this has blown so out of proportion. “what is it?”
“when we crashed, we both got out of the car,” logan starts slowly, nitpicking his choice of words for the fear of sounding a little too unreasonable, “she never asked me if i was okay. it was a pretty nasty crash for both of us.”
that’s it, really. that’s his only problem with it — she had never asked, not once, if he was okay. she’d just started getting angry, which was understandable, but it never really hit him why he was feeling so sad until he started getting examined for his injuries a while later. he’s personally curious if she was feeling better, but she still hadn’t asked him yet.
which kind of sucks because he’s starting to feel like he cares more for her than she does for him.
“oh, i see.” oscar sits up. “okay, i totally get it. i’ll speak with her.”
logan shakes his head, “you don’t have to. if she doesn’t realise it on her own, what does it really say about her, you know?”
“i know, but i’ll try talking to her first.”
so oscar doesn’t exactly talk to her himself. truth is he can’t bring himself to be the one to speak with her about logan; he just knows he can’t pick a side. whatever she says, he’ll be trying to defend both sides and they’ll never get anywhere with it.
so, he asked if sebastian would speak with her. even then, sebastian hadn’t dared to speak with her about this. he would be able to have conversations with her about anything except this.
he just knows what she would throw back in his face so he already knew immediately that he shouldn’t be the one to.
so he went to the next best pairing who could potentially fix it.
the young girl gapes up at the duo towering over her as she sinks into the couch. she’s suddenly felt so small, a contrast to her initial bratty attitude from being interrupted from her lunch.
“what are you guys doing here?” she blinks. “why are you even together here?”
“what do you mean?” nico tilts his head. “don’t you like me? i thought you liked me? you said you like my presence.”
she furrows her eyebrows. none of this makes sense unless there’s something she’s failed to connect. “i do, but like… why are you here in front of me?”
“we just wanna talk,” lewis grins, folding his arms over his chest. “we need to talk to you.”
her confusion slowly contorts into something of suspicion. a scowl carves her lips as her eyes narrow into a glare. “seb sent you, didn’t he? this is about logan?”
“i told you she’s smarter than to fall for the excuse that we’re here just to spend time with her,” nico points out, turning to lewis. “she’s a degree holder, of course, she will see right through us.”
“and i said it doesn’t matter if she does. we just need to get the message across,” lewis rambles at nico before he turns to the girl. “i’ll keep it simple.”
she looks up, uninterested, sinking back into the couch with her arms folded over her chest. “okay. try and change my mind.”
“is logan your best friend or not?”
she presses her lips together. “yes, he is. or at least he used to be.”
“do you love him or not?”
she doesn’t answer. what does he mean by that? is there an agenda to this that she hadn’t anticipated for? is she really that obvious?
“what does that mean?” nico whispers. “you hate him or what?”
lewis rolls his eyes. “as a best friend. i don’t care if you’re in love with him, rocky. that’s not what we’re here for.”
she looks away momentarily. “yes, i love him as a best friend. what the hell does that have to do with anything? i’m sure he loves me too yet he doesn’t want to apologise.”
“is this racing thing seriously so much more important than keeping your best friend in your life, though?” nico smiles. hopefully, that gets through to her.
she scowls, “i don’t know — you tell me.”
“rocky.”
“it’s a genuine question, lewis.”
“this isn’t about us.”
“it can be if you want.”
“stop diverting!” nico yelps. “listen, okay, if you don’t fix this, you’ll need to live with yourself losing your best friend over one crash! not just for the time being, rocky, forever! for the rest of your life! can you really live with that?”
“maybe.”
“take me seriously!” nico stomps a foot on the ground. “he’s not going to leave the grid. can you really live coming into the paddocks on weekends all by yourself? no logan to carry your bags, no logan to giggle with when you want to, no logan to have meals with, no logan to come home to in your shared apartment with your pets. really?”
she sucks in a deep and shaky breath. she can’t. she really can’t see living the rest of her life out without logan around to annoy and cry to.
the past couple of days holding out from speaking to logan has been so difficult but can’t really get herself to admit to it. she can’t see herself winning any more races in the season and not leaving to celebrate with him, or flying back after race weekends to relax in their apartment with a bottle of wine.
lewis huffs. “you maybe need to be the one to swallow your pride if you don’t want to lose this friendship.”
“and i heard from the grapevine that you still haven’t ask logan if he’s okay.” nico looks away and innocently tries looking around the room to avoid her gaze. “his crash was pretty bad, you know. he had a concussion too.”
“did he?” she asks, her tone a little more gentle and her voice softer. “is he okay now?”
lewis shrugs. “go and ask him yourself.”
she stands up and brushes her pants. “you’re right. get out of my way, i’m going to apologise to my best friend.”
she pushes past both of the older men and grabs her car keys from the table by the door. she halts right before she makes it out of the room and turns. “thank you. i really appreciate this. i can’t imagine what it took you guys to get together just to put some sense into my head.”
she steps out. “maybe when logan and i make up, i could take some sense into you!”
logan expected it to come in the form of a short phone call, maybe a long text message. not for her to show back up at their apartment with takeout in her hands and a small grin.
“what?”
“can i come in?” she grins hopefully, peeking into the apartment. “i brought us takeout from our favourite place.”
logan steps aside and opens the door wider. “why are you asking me for permission? this is your apartment.”
“i know,” she sighs as she steps in to take off her shoes.
logan closes the door behind her and he puts his hands into his pockets. it’s still very nice to see her and he’s genuinely missed her more than ever.
distance makes the heart grow fonder or something like that.
he waits for her to start up a conversation. when they stand in silence, him staring at her back as she slowly takes off her jacket, he attempts to walk past her. he was watching a movie with stubby after all.
“how are you feeling?” she suddenly asks, stopping logan right behind her in the very cramp entryway into their apartment. she stands up straighter and turns around, attempting to make a step back when she realises their proximity. “i heard you got a concussion too.”
he can’t help but smile slightly. so that’s what she’s here for.
finally.
“i’m feeling alright. just whiplash and muscle pain, nothing new,” he admits softly. “what about you?”
she grins. “i’m feeling okay,” she mutters. “i’m sorry i didn’t ask if you were okay. you must have felt like i didn’t care about you at all.”
“you didn’t get your podium because of me. i’m sorry too,” logan puts a hand on her shoulder and shakes her slightly, “it was in the heat of the moment. sucks that it took you this long to realise though.”
“are we best friends again? i got us food.” she raises the bag of takeout with a giggle and a feeling of warmth in her chest. “we didn’t get to eat the other day, after all.”
“of course, you’re my best friend, you idiot.” logan throws an arm over her shoulders as they walk into the apartment. he ruffles her hair from the top of her head and smacks it gently. “let’s not fight about something like that ever again.”
“well, don’t crash into me again when i’m fighting for a podium.”
“seriously?”
“okay, i’m sorry. i’ll make that joke again in 3 weeks maybe.”

Truth Serum
Natasha Romanoff x Reader
genre: flufy || warnings: none
It all started, as these things often do, with a seemingly straightforward mission. Infiltrate a HYDRA base, retrieve some stolen tech, don't get captured, the usual. You were pretty confident, you'd been training with the Avengers for a while now, holding your own, even earning a few nods of respect from Captain America himself. You weren't exactly a superhero, more of a very skilled and adaptable support member, but hey, it paid the bills and got you close to, well... certain people.
You remember the moment the serum hit you. It wasn't dramatic, no needles, no villainous laughter. Just a rogue vial – accidentally knocked off a table by a HYDRA goon who tripped over his own feet, a testament to their competence – and its contents splashed right onto your cheek. It didn't taste like anything, but a second later you could swear you felt your brain doing the cha-cha.
"Are you alright?" Tony's voice was crisp over the comms. You knew he was watching the feed from his suit.
“Peachy,” you said, your voice surprisingly calm, even as the world around you started to look a little too vibrant. “Just feeling a bit… honest.”
“Honest?” Steve’s voice now chimed in with that trademark wholesome concern. "What do you mean?"
"Oh, you know,” you found yourself saying, “like, if you asked me if I liked the way the light caught your hair this morning, I’d say yes, Steve, you’re like a walking, talking golden retriever of justice and your hair is always perfectly coiffed. Sorry, am I oversharing?”
A beat of silence followed, punctuated only by the sharp crackling of your boots on the steel floor of the HYDRA base.
"Uh, thanks?" Steve said hesitantly.
“And Tony,” you continued, unable to stop the runaway train of your mouth, “your sarcasm is a coping mechanism, and sometimes it's a little predictable, but you're actually really good at inventing things, even if you pretend to hate trying.”
You could hear Tony sputter in disbelief. Before he could recover, you spotted your quarry – the tech – in a nearby room. And then you saw her. Natasha Romanoff, a whirlwind of controlled fury and ballet-like movements, expertly disarming guards left and right. Everything suddenly seemed… brighter. And also terrifying. Because, of course, the truth serum also seemed to have activated your inner monologue on high volume.
"Oh, damn it," you muttered, your voice still broadcasting. "You're so cool, Natasha, your hair looks amazing, are those tactical boots because you can be both deadly and elegant and it's totally not fair. I also think... I think..." You clamped your mouth shut.
There was a sudden, sharp intake of breath over the comms. You could practically feel Natasha's gaze burning through the screen and directly into your soul.
"Alright," Natasha said, her voice silky smooth, but with a definite hint of something dangerous lurking beneath. "You’ve had your moment. Let's finish this."
And that’s when you realised that you had a very, very big problem. You had a mission to finish, sure, but you also had to not reveal your crush on the world's most deadly spy. You could picture it now, if you even let a hint touch your tongue, it would be all over the tower, Tony would create a song about it, and Clint would laugh and draw cartoons of you in love struck positions.
You moved with newfound urgency, grabbing the tech and bolting for the nearest exit.
“I’m just gonna, uh, take this and go now,” you announced, “Gotta avoid... uh... social interactions. Bye!”
You broke into a run, your boots thundering on the metal floor, the comms going silent as everyone processed what had just happened. You could hear footsteps behind you, and you didn't need to look back to know who was trying to catch up to you.
You burst out of the HYDRA base into the cold night air, not caring where you were going, just knowing you needed to get away from Natasha. You sprinted across the snowy landscape, your breath puffing in white clouds.
Then, you hit a patch of ice.
You went down, hard, landing in a comical heap with a muffled oof.
“Are you alright?” Steve’s concerned voice came over the comms, making you groan.
“No,” you whined. “I just busted my butt. Also, I think I need to be honest with you all about the way I prefer to put my butter on my toast, and it’s not the way you would imagine, it’s much more…”
You cut yourself off before you could launch into a detailed explanation of your highly unorthodox buttering techniques. You scramble to your feet, wincing.
“I think I need to go home now!” you shouted, then took off running again, stumbling over the uneven snow.
“Wait!” Natasha’s voice called out from behind you again. Closer this time.
“No!” you yelled back. “I can’t, if I’m not running away, I’ll probably tell you I think you’re amazing and all of the romantic feelings I have for you and then you’ll get weirded out and it’s just, a whole thing!”
You didn’t wait for a response, diving behind a large snowdrift. You could hear Natasha’s footsteps pause, a beat of silence followed, and then you heard a sigh.
You peeked over the top of the snow drift, and saw the figure that was Natasha, hands on hips, a look of fond exasperation on her face. It made your heart do a little flip of emotion.
"Okay, fine," Natasha called out, "I'll give you some space. But you're not getting out of this conversation without explaining all that 'buttering' talk later. And your feelings." She added the last bit in a soft voice.
You ducked back down, a blush creeping up your neck. You could hear laughter coming through the comms this time, Tony, Clint and Steve having a field day. You might have also heard Thor laughing way too loud, then suddenly a deep growl, and then silence.
You knew you couldn't hide forever. But for tonight, you decided, you'd take your chances with the arctic wind over the truth serum and the very attractive woman currently stalking you.
For now, your escape was enough. You would deal with the awkward, heartfelt, and hopefully not too embarrassing aftermath tomorrow. But tonight? Tonight you are just a very honest person with a severe case of avoidance and a very big crush. And that’s something, right?

chapter one: heartache
wc: 2.1k
Five years. Vi and Caitlyn had been together for five years before Caitlyn decided that the exposure from Vi’s life as a musician was “too much.” She said she was already dealing with enough from her mother’s expectations, constant scrutiny, and the pressure to be perfect. Being tied to someone constantly in the spotlight only amplified the chaos she was trying to escape.
But how do you just walk away from five years? Five years of love, growth, and shared memories. They had been through everything together—the awkward phases, the big milestones, the small, intimate moments that made life feel worth it. They were each other’s first in almost everything: first love, first heartbreak, first time believing someone could truly know and accept them for who they were.
Vi couldn’t imagine a future without Caitlyn in it. Caitlyn wasn’t just her girlfriend; she was her rock, her balance, her safe place in a world that could be loud and overwhelming. With her, life made sense. Without her, it felt like the ground had been pulled out from under her feet.
Now, Vi was left standing in the ruins of what they had built together, forced to pick up the shattered pieces and figure out who she was without Caitlyn. Every corner of her life reminded her of what she’d lost—the songs Caitlyn inspired, the jokes they shared together, the faint trace of her perfume still clinging to the throw pillows they’d picked out together.
Relearning herself wasn’t just hard—it felt impossible. How do you start over when so much of your identity has been intertwined with someone else? How do you let go of someone who was your past, your present, and the future you were certain you’d have?
Vi’s days were spent trying to fill the void Caitlyn left behind, and her nights were haunted by the deafening silence where laughter and love used to live.
──────────────────────
“Wake up!” you say, shaking Vi’s body aggressively. “I sure hope you’re not dead or still drunk because we leave in 30 minutes. Pack your shit.” You’re already gathering her clothes scattered across the room, shoving them into her beat-up suitcase. It’s barely holding together, much like its owner.
The thing is, you love Vi—you really do. She’s one of your best friends, and without a doubt, one of the most talented people you’ve ever met. But ever since her breakup with Caitlyn, she’s been a complete wreck. All she does these days is drink and mope around like the world ended.
When she first came to you, heartbroken and teary-eyed, spilling every detail of the split, you were genuinely sad for her. Five years with someone isn’t easy to walk away from. But, selfishly, you couldn’t help but think,“At least we’ll get some killer songs out of this.” Heartbreak always fuels the best music, right? You figured she’d take her pain and pour it into the band.
Instead, she spends 85% of her days drowning herself in booze and picking fights with strangers in dive bars, and the other 15% passed out somewhere she probably shouldn’t be. Honestly, it’s exhausting keeping up with her. At least this time, she actually made it back to her own hotel room instead of crashing on some stranger’s couch—or worse.
“Violet, seriously,” you snap, shaking her again when all you get is a groan. “You’re a grown-ass woman, and I’m not your babysitter. Get up, get dressed, and try not to look like you’ve been on a week-long bender. The van is leaving, and I’m not letting you make us late again.”
She finally stirs, one bloodshot eye cracking open as she glares at you. “What’s your problem?” she mutters, her voice gravelly and tired.
“My problem? My problem is that you’re wasting your talent and dragging us all down with you. I get it—you’re hurt, heartbroken, life sucks. But this?” You gesture around the room, littered with empty bottles and discarded clothes. “This isn’t you, Vi. And it sure as hell isn’t the Vi this band needs right now.”
She sits up slowly, rubbing her temples like even that’s too much effort. “You don’t get it,” she mutters, her voice low. “You don’t know what it’s like to lose someone like Cait.”
You take a deep breath, softening your tone. “No, I don’t. I won’t pretend I do. But I know Caitlyn wouldn’t want you to do this to yourself. And I know you’re better than this. So, get your ass up and let’s get to work. You don’t have to fix everything right now, but at least show up—for yourself, and for us.”
She looks at you for a long moment, her face unreadable. For a second, you think she’s going to argue. But instead, she sighs heavily, dragging herself out of bed like the weight of the world is on her shoulders.
“Fine,” she mutters, running a hand through her mess of hair. “I’ll pack. But don’t expect me to look ‘presentable.’”
You snort, tossing her a clean shirt you found buried under a pile of god knows what. “Presentable’s overrated. I’ll settle for functional.”
She gives you a half-smirk, the closest thing to a smile you’ve seen from her in weeks, and starts gathering the rest of her things.
You make your way to the van, your thoughts swirling as you reflect on how much your lives have changed in such a short time. Just a few months ago, you were barely scraping by, playing gigs at any bar that would have you. Your dad thought joining a band was a terrible idea—especially since it meant you wouldn’t be going to college. He never liked Vi, or her family for that matter, constantly calling her a bad influence. He’d been saying that ever since the two of you met in high school, always claiming that Vi was the one putting reckless ideas in your head.
When you told him you were starting a band with her, he completely lost it. You could still hear the echoes of his angry voice, the awful things he said, the way he swore you’d never make it. “You’re throwing your future away for a pipe dream,” he’d yelled. “Mark my words, you’ll regret this.” Those words used to haunt you—sometimes they still do. But right now, you can’t deny the faint sense of satisfaction in knowing that you’ve proven him wrong. Sure, things aren’t perfect, but you’re here. You’re on a tour van, opening for a bigger artist, starting to get noticed by her fans. It’s not the dream yet, but it’s closer than it’s ever been.
Climbing onto the van, you spot Jinx already in her usual spot by the window, earbuds dangling around her neck as she scrolls aimlessly on her phone. She glances up when she hears you, a crooked grin forming on her face.
“Did you get her to wake up?” she asks, scrunching her nose in exaggerated disgust. “I tried, but it reeks in there. Smells like whiskey, sweat, and bad decisions.”
You roll your eyes but can’t help the small laugh that escapes you. “Yeah, she’s up. Barely. I had to practically shake her awake and threaten to leave her behind. She’s packing now, probably still half-asleep.”
Jinx smirks, leaning back in her seat and tossing her phone onto the cushion beside her. “You’re a braver soul than I am. I gave up after two knocks. You know how Vi gets when she’s hungover—like a grumpy bear. Or a bear with a hangover.”
“She’s not a bear,” you say with a sigh, dropping into the seat across from her. “She’s just… going through it. Though, honestly, I wish she’d just move on already.”
Jinx raises an eyebrow, her expression equal parts amused and frustrated. “You’ve been saying that for weeks. When does ‘going through it’ stop being an excuse? She’s dragging herself—and us—down. It’s not like we’re rolling in free passes for her to waste.”
You glance out the window, watching the early morning light streak across the horizon. She’s not wrong. Vi’s breakup with Caitlyn hadn’t just been hard on her—it had been hard on all of you. The drinking, the fights, the inconsistency... It was becoming impossible to ignore.
“Where’s Ekko?” you ask, changing the subject. “Don’t tell me he’s late too.”
Jinx shrugs lazily. “Oh, he forgot something in his room. He’s probably on his way back already. You know him—‘fashionably late’ and all that.”
As if on cue, the hotel doors swing open, and Ekko steps outside with Archie, your ever-enthusiastic manager, trailing close behind. The two are deep in conversation, their hands gesturing wildly as they talk.
“Oh, you girls are already here! Excellent.” Archie’s voice carries before he even reaches the bus. His short, chubby frame and thick british accent somehow manage to command attention wherever he goes. He’s the reason the band even had a shot, the one who saw potential when no one else did.
“I have exciting news,” Archie announces, his grin stretching ear to ear as he climbs aboard. Then, his expression falters. “But… where is Miss Violet? Don’t tell me she’s late again.”
“She’s packing,” you answer, sitting up straighter. “She’ll be out any minute.”
Archie narrows his eyes, clearly unimpressed. “Packing? At this hour? I gave everyone strict instructions to be ready by now.”
“She had a rough night,” you offer, though you feel like a broken record at this point. How many times have you covered for her?
“A rough night?” Archie throws his hands up dramatically. “She’s had a ‘rough night’ every night for the past month! If she’s not careful, she’ll burn herself out before we even get close to making it big.”
You exchange a glance with Jinx, who shrugs as if to say, He’s not wrong.
At that moment, the can door opens again, and Vi steps aboard. She looks like she just rolled out of bed—hair tousled, hoodie wrinkled, and sunglasses covering her undoubtedly bloodshot eyes.
“Morning,” she mutters, flopping into a seat without so much as a glance at Archie.
“Morning?” Archie echoes incredulously. “Miss Violet, this is hardly the professionalism I expect from you. We’re opening for one of the biggest acts of the year, and you’re showing up like you’ve just walked out of a frat house!”
Vi groans, tilting her head back against the seat. “Save it, Archie. I’m here, aren’t I?”
Archie pinches the bridge of his nose, muttering something under his breath before shaking it off. “Fine. I’ll save my lecture for later because—believe it or not—we’ve got good news. Big news.”
Everyone perks up at that, even Vi, though she does so begrudgingly.
“What kind of news?” you ask, leaning forward with curiosity.
Archie’s grin widens as he claps his hands together. “You’re being added to three more tour dates! One of which is in LA. And, if you can manage to pull yourselves together, there might even be offers for an single on the table.”
The van erupts into excited chatter, a buzz of energy filling the space. Jinx punches the air, Ekko grins from ear to ear, and even you feel a rush of exhilaration. This is what you’ve all been working for—an actual shot at something bigger.
Even Vi, slouched in her seat with her sunglasses still on, cracks a small smile. It doesn’t quite reach her eyes, but it’s there. Maybe this could be the spark she needed—the moment she finally stopped wallowing and started using all that anger and hurt for something productive.
“Quiet down, please,” Archie calls out, waving his hands to settle everyone. “I know you’re all excited, and you should be. But this will only be possible if you show your absolute best in the upcoming concerts. No more sloppiness, no more excuses. This is your chance to prove you’re ready for the big leagues.”
His words hang heavy in the air, a stark reminder of the stakes. The excitement dims just slightly, replaced by determination.
“So,” Archie continues, checking his watch, “settle down, get your heads in the game, and prepare to give it everything you’ve got. We’ll be leaving in a couple of minutes.”
Jinx leans over your seat, her voice low but tinged with excitement. “Three more shows, an album, and LA? Think we’ll survive?”
You chuckle softly, glancing at Vi, who’s staring out the window now, her expression unreadable. “We’ll survive,” you reply. “The question is whether we’ll thrive.”
Jinx snorts. “Speak for yourself. I was born to thrive.”
Despite everything, you feel a flicker of hope. This was it—the break you’d been waiting for. Now all you had to do was rise to the occasion.

Yandere! Serial Killer
♢ Yandere! Serial Killer whose on the run from the police, "she" had been careless with one of "her" victims, a rare slip-up for someone who prided "herself" on precision. Evidence left behind, a single, damning thread now had the authorities breathing down "her" neck.
Yandere! Serial Killer who isn’t new to the game. "She" had been turning victims into works of art for years, taking people who were in horrible accidents barely clinging onto life before "she" takes them and turns them into dolls.
Now "she's" forced to lay low, with a disguise. A wig cascaded down "her" back, pastel highlights blending effortlessly.
Dainty hands adjusted the straps of a tight pink corset while "she" checked "herself" in the mirror. Thick thighs hugged by stockings, soft pink lips curling into a knowing smirk.
The police would never suspect "her." No one ever did.
Yandere! Serial Killer wandered into a coffee shop one day, and spotted you. Instantly remembering you as "her" high school crush, never really spoken a few shy 'hi's' here and there. "She" mainly just observed from afar since you was always surrounded by people.
You was a senior and "she" was a sophmore, so when you graduated and left the school it broke "her" heart. Never able to confess to you about "her" feelings or even managing to court you.
Yandere! Serial Killer who thinks this was fate, a second chance and was about to walk over to you until "she" froze. All of a sudden remembering "her" current situation, you wouldn't even recongnize "her" because of the disguise.
It's not like "she" could walk right up to you without it either "she's" a wanted criminal. And "she" highly doubts you haven't seen "her" actual face on the news.
Yandere! Serial Killer who scans your face with the same precision "she" uses to memorize her victims’ features. But you’re different. You’re not a victim. You’re special. There’s a maturity to you now, a depth that makes "her" want you even more.
Yandere! Serial Killer who bit "her" lips, and decided to take this chance, "she" can’t let you slip away again. Not this time.
Yandere! Serial Killer approaching you and striking up a conversation, "she" felt a familiar shiver down "her" spine when you had stated "she" looked familiar to someone you remembered in high school. Asking if "she" had a brother.
Yandere! Serial Killer who dreamt of this moment over and over finally able to have a real conversation with you, instead of shying away. Feeling very giddy unable to hide "her" excitement.
Yandere! Serial Killer who suddenly felt hot beneath the tight corset, feeling how "her" body betrayed "her". "Her" plush thighs pressed together as "her" mind wandered to places it shouldn’t, not here, not now. The pink lace of her stockings suddenly felt too tight, feeling a familiar pressure between "her" legs.
Pretty manicured fingers gripped the coffee cup a little too tightly as "she" forced "herself" to focus. "She" couldn’t scare you away, not yet.
Yandere! Serial Killer who nearly combusts when you exchange numbers. You think "she’s" just a bubbly, harmless old acquaintance from high school. How could you have known the truth?
Yandere! Serial Killer who as soon as "she" got back home "she" needed to take care of "her" growing problem. "She" couldn’t stop thinking about you. Replay after replay of your conversation danced in "her" mind as "she" stroked "herself", soft moans of your name muffled by "her" pillow.
Yandere! Serial Killer who after coming down from "her" high decided on that day "she" won’t lose you again. This time, "she’ll" do it right. "She’ll" worm "her" way back into your life, just like "she" always dreamed of in high school.
Yandere! Serial Killer who becomes your best friend. "She’s" bubbly and sweet, always making you laugh. "She" agrees with everything you say, knows just what you’re thinking before you say it. You’re amazed by how connected you feel to "her"—like "she" knows you better than you know yourself.
You didn’t know it yet, but your other friends were disappearing. They were vanishing. And "she" was collecting their pieces—literally and figuratively.
Yandere! Serial Killer who was thinking about courting you and make "her" feelings known to you, but remembered "she" was playing a character and not as "herself" due to unfortunate circumstances which never fails to piss "her" off.
Yandere! Serial Killer often wondered if you would still like "her" if "she" came clean, wondering if you’d call "her" insane if you found out the truth. Would you turn "her" in? Would you scream? "She" dreams about it sometimes, imagined your tears, your pleas.
Yandere! Serial Killer who finishes stitching up "her" latest "doll" a person who dared flirt with you and sighs. Blood smearing on the cigarette "she" lit, taking a long drag. "Her" mind drifts back to you. The thought of losing you again terrifies "her" more than the police ever could.
Yandere! Serial Killer who finally snaps when "she" stalked caught you going on a date with someone else. The sight of you all dolled up for them. Smiling, and laughing, made "her" heart shatter into a million jagged pieces.
Yandere! Serial Killer's face twists into something hideous, a snarl that looks entirely out of place on the delicate, doll-like face "she’s" crafted. This wasn’t just jealousy—it was betrayal. An ultimate, unforgivable sin.
"You’ll regret this," "she" whispers under "her" breath, "her" voice dripping with venom. "I’ll make sure you never even think about leaving me again."
Yandere! Serial Killer who dragged your mangled unconscious body out of your destroyed car after the brakes mysteriously failed.
Yandere! Serial Killer who immediately got to work, "her" fingers expertly weaving through "her" collection of needles and threads. The crazed grin on "her" lips only widened as "she" stitched up the injuries, "her" blood-streaked hands steady.
Yandere! Serial Killer who smiled when "she" saw your eyes flutter open, the haze of confusion clouding your gaze as you took in your surroundings. Noticing you was sitting on "her" oddly broad lap.
Yandere! Serial Killer who laughed as "she" cooed at you, as you tried to sit up, only to realize how weak you were.
"Aw, don’t overexert yourself, dear," she cooed, "her" voice now much deeper and malicious. "You’ve been through so much already."
Yandere! Serial Killer who cradled you on "her" lap, ignoring your weak protests as you squirmed against "her". You froze when you felt it. A hard, unmistakable pressure pressing against your ass.
Yandere! Serial Killer who’s playful facade cracked as "her" hands reached for "her" pastel wig. "She" tugged it off in one swift motion, revealing short, messy blonde hair. "Her" expression darkened, "her" once-cheerful smile now replaced by something dead.
Yandere! Serial Killer who wordlessly reached into his bra, pulling out the fake silicone breasts with a quick flick of his wrist and tossing them aside like trash. His movements were stiff, irritated, his patience thinning. He stared at you with a mix of boredom and contempt.
Processing how his face was bare, but he was still sadly pretty his androgynous features seemed to have helped him go unnoticed. All the pieces finally clicking together.
"Recognize me now?" he muttered, his voice low, almost a growl. "You should. They’ve been plastering my face all over the news."
Yandere! Serial Killer who motioned toward the table in front of you, a silver platter gleaming under the warm, pink light of the room. Your stomach churned as he lifted the lid with a dramatic flourish, revealing the severed head of the person you’d been seeing.
Yandere! Serial Killer who grinned as your eyes widened in horror, tears streaming down your face as the realization hit you like a freight train. Their severed body parts were arranged grotesquely around it, the intestines draped like an awful decoration. The sight sent a wave of nausea rushing up your throat.
"Thought we’d have dinner together," he said mockingly, "I couldn’t let them come between us, after all."
Yandere! Serial Killer who sweetly kissed your cheek seeing the look of dawning horror on your face. This was pure madness. Your heart hammered in your chest as tears welled up in your eyes.
Now noticing the overwhelming stench of death, sweat, and something sweeter like rot; clung to the air...coming from the dolls around his room. Some were disfigured, their faces distorted, stitched up where the skin had been torn or burned.
The worse part is how stiff you felt gazing at your hand you see your wrists stitched up, lifting you shirt you see large lines long, jagged stitches, crude and uneven.
You realized with sickening clarity...you were another one of his creations.
"You’re mine now," he purred, leaning in so close his breath ghosted over your skin. "And nothing, no one, is going to take you away from me."

- Die For You ❥
Plot: When Gianna (OC) is encountered by a drunk man at a bar, a random guy comes to her rescue.
Warning: Assault, mature language, & hefty flirting!
The strong scent of alcohol and deafening volume of RnB classics slaps me in the face as I walk into a local club.
I’ve been through a lot recently.
From recently ending my five year relationship then moving here to Atlanta because of it, I knew that a drink and, possibly some good ole club fun, were in the cards tonight.
“Hey there,” the bartender greets me, wiping down the counter. “What can I get for you?”
“Just a dirty shirley please,” I reply sweetly, sliding onto a nearby barstool and placing my LV bag in my lap.
“You got it,” he says and immediately gets to work on my drink.
I smile and pull my matching wallet out of my bag.
“I’ve got ya sweetheart,” a raspy voice with a deep country accent says from behind me.
Naturally, I look back and see an old man - at least 60 - walk up from behind me and slide a $10 on the counter.
“That’s nice of you sir,” I begin, a nervous but grateful smile on my face. “But it’s really okay. I can pay for myself.”
He shakes his head, smoothing out his gray beard. “Nonsense, little lady. I insist.”
I sigh softly and put my wallet back in my bag. “Alright. Thank you.”
He hums in approval as the bartender slides over my drink.
I thank him as well and take a sip, the mixed flavors of cherry and vodka immediately satisfying me.
“So,” the old man begins again, taking a seat rather close to me. “You come here often? I ain’t never seen ya before.”
I lightly scoot away, letting out a nervous chuckle. “Nah, I’m just in town visiting my parents for the weekend.”
Ugh, if only.
He nods his head and strokes his beard again. “That’s nice. I’d love to see ya again while you’re still here.”
I take a deep breath before responding. “With all due respect, sir, I’m not really interested.”
He tilts his head, a light smirk growing on his face. “Aw, cmon darlin’. Gimme a chance. I got you a drink and everything.”
“I mean, would you like the money back?” I snap back, holding up my wallet.
He chuckles, folding his arms across his chest. “Mouthy little one, aren’t ya?”
I shake my head, grabbing my purse and placing it on my shoulder. “I’m done with this conversation. You have a good night.”
As I get up to leave, a cold hand grabs my wrist.
“I just wanna talk to ya baby,” the same raspy voice mutters, tightening his grip.
I attempt to snatch my arm back, but miserably fail, as he’s much stronger than me.
“Cmon honey,” he continues. “Give an old man a chance.”
“Let go of me!” I scold, attempting to pull my arm back once more.
An angry expression comes over his face, as his grip tightens. “Never, you selfish bitch.”
My stomach sinks at the name, as I pull my arm with all the strength left in me.
“I believe the lady asked to be let go,” a deep and much younger sounding voice demands, from behind me.
I look back and see a much younger and, not to mention super sexy, guy stood with his arms folded across his chest.
The older man finally releases my arm and steps in front of the younger guy, attempting to size him up.
“And who the hell are you?” the older man questions, getting face-to-face with the younger guy and pointing to his chest.
“Her man,” the younger guy lies, nodding towards me. “So I suggest you back the fuck off.”
The older man folds his arms, mocking the younger guy. “And I suggest you stop letting your whore over here out of your sight.”
Whore?
The name calling sets the younger guy off, as he narrows his eyes and his chest starts rising up and down faster. “Aye. Watch your fuckin’ mouth, uce.”
“Or what, uce?” the older man continues, raising his arms up.
The younger man chuckles and suddenly snaps, punching the older man dead in his face, causing him to stumble back.
I step back in shock, as a good amount of people see the commotion and gasp as well.
“Oh you really messed up now asshole,” the old man mutters before punching the younger guy in his mouth.
My eyes widen out of panic, as blood trickles from his lower lip and they start throwing full blown punches at each other.
Security rushes through the crowd and separates them, one taking the younger guy outside.
I push past the crowd that’s formed and run after them, soon catching up to them.
“Wait!” I call out to the security guard. “Please!”
He turns around, arms still around the younger guy. “What can I do for you, ma’am?”
“He was only protecting me,” I exclaim, clutching my purse tighter. “The older man back there was forcing me to talk to him and grabbed me when I rejected him.”
I look down and rub my wrist when saying that last part.
“You have to believe me,” I continue, looking back up at them. “This guy hasn’t done anything wrong.”
A soft smile appears on the younger guy’s face, revealing the gold grillz in his mouth.
I smile back and look up at the security guard, who lets out a deep sigh.
“Alright,” he gives in, letting the guy go. “But go home. If we’re called on you again, I’m gonna have to take more serious precautions.”
The young guy nods understandably. “I understand. Thank you, uce.”
“Get home safe you two,” the security guard replies, nodding and clapping him on the back, before heading back inside.
The younger guy turns to me and takes a deep breath, running a hand through his curls. “That was close, huh?”
I chuckle nervously, nodding in agreement. “Yeah. Yeah it was.”
He smiles, nodding as well. “Thank you.”
I smile back, folding my arms. “Thank you for what you did back there. God knows what would’ve happened if you never showed up.”
“No problem…” his voice trails off.
“Gianna,” I finish his sentence for him, holding out a hand.
He takes it and gives it a light shake. “Beautiful name. I’m Josh.”
“Thank you,” I reply, blushing softly. “It’s nice to meet you.”
He smiles in response. “You too.”
Our hands disconnect and the faint sound of cars driving down the busy street takes over, before I break it by clearing my throat. “Well, I should probably head home.”
I pull out my phone and start ordering an Uber.
“Do you not have a ride?” Josh asks curiously, folding his arms again.
“I will in about…” I reply, confirming my ride. “Five minutes.”
He chuckles, shaking his head. “Cancel that shit. I’ll take you home.”
“Oh,” I reply, tilting my head. “A-are you sure? I mean with everything that happened toni-“
“I’m positive,” he replies, cutting me off. “Cmon.”
I smile, giving in and walking to the parking lot with him.
As we walk, his hand finds my lower back, holding me close protectively.
And, not gonna lie, it feels good as hell.
—————————————————————————————————
“Hold still,” I order dipping a washcloth into the pool of soapy water I made in my bathroom sink.
Josh is currently stood in between my legs, which are sat on the counter.
I begin, ever so gently, dabbing the cut with the cloth.
“Fuck!” he hisses in pain, squeezing his eyes shut.
I cringe, pulling it away. “Sorry. I’ll be more gentle.”
“It’s alright,” he replies, placing a hand on either of my thighs. “I’ll just squeeze these if it hurts.”
I giggle, shaking my head as a goofy smirk appears on his face.
About a minute later, the cut is all clean.
“All done!” I exclaim, rinsing excess petroleum jelly off of my fingers.
He looks in the mirror and sticks out his bottom lip to get a clearer view of the wound, which is just a tiny bump and scar now.
“Good as new,” he teases, stroking my thighs. “Thank you, baby.”
Butterflies take over my stomach in reaction to the nickname.
God, this man is so dreamy.
I smile, stroking his biceps. “No problem. It’s the least I can do.”
He smiles and strokes my cheek with his knuckle. “I know something else you could do.”
I raise an eyebrow. “Oh yeah? What’s that?”
He dramatically sticks out his bottom lip and lifts his chin.
I roll my eyes playfully and lean in, placing a light kiss on his lip.
“Happy?” I tease, folding my arms.
He smiles, nodding. “Very.”
I giggle and wrap my arms around him, as he lifts me up off the counter and walks us into my bedroom.

”boy i know what you desire, oh you’re such a bad bad liar” PART 1
⋆.˚ dabi x fem!reader
“open up (y/n) i don’t have time for your games”
“i don’t have time for this shigs” you removed your glasses, walking towards your back door. the only people who knew about this side of your house, was the league and the only time they ever needed you was when they needed medical attention. you were a huge asset to shigariki and his bandits, atleast according to Kurogiri.
opening the door, you noticed a splayed collapsing figure thrown across shigarakis shoulder, “quick.” was all that left Shigarakis lips, you let out a deep breath rubbing the bridge of your nose, “one quick text wouldn’t hurt y’know, i don’t even have the room prepared” “i’ll pay double the price, i need him alive no matter what.” taking the deepest breath you possibly could, you made sure he knew you were pissed about this “toss him on the table” while you slid on a pair of nitrile gloves, grabbing a metal tray for whatever you need. Shigaraki held down the dark haired man, while he groaned in pain. From the many years you’ve worked with Tomura, he’s never showed this much value towards a person, you couldn’t imagine how valuable the guy is to him. “what happened to him?” “shot.”
deciding you should sedate the big guy, you grabbed a sedative from the bar fridge, grabbing a needle, flicking the bottle twice and transferring the drug. You made your way to him, “hold him down, i need him to calm down before i do anything else” Shigaraki nodded as held onto the man’s legs, you noticed he was covered in scars, adorned by piercings, dazed due to the amount of blood he’d already lost, looking at you through half shut eyes.
tending to his wound, you worked through layers of ripped and wounded skin, “just one bullet?” “yeah” “he’s lucky it’s only one” removing the gloves, you tossed them into the trash, not bothering to check if they actually made into the trash or flipped onto the floor. “i need him to be supervised at all times, he’s strictly on bed rest for the next 24 hours at least” Shigaraki looked at you in disbelief “you’re on thin ice with me shiggy” sighing as you decided to let him rest in your house til he was finally okay to move, Shigaraki left you alone with the absolute stranger, you don’t even know his name, how should you trust him? Kurogiri never mentioned him before, you had no idea the league was expanding. You decided to let the man rest comfortably in your bed, your quirk allowing you to be able to sustain his heavy weight ontop of your shoulders. You placed him carefully on top of your sheets, leaving him to rest while you scrubbed your bloody floor and the steel table.
two bottles of bleach and endless squirts of dish soap later, it looked like the mess never happened. You collapsed onto your couch, eyes drooping as tiredness washed over your face, the muscles in your body relaxed as you lulled into a deep sleep.
“where the fuck am i?” your eyes fluttered open, as you scanned the figure towering over you, noticing a blue flame exerting from his palm,“calm down hotcakes, i saved your life” you chuckled as the flame died “who are you?” “well aren’t you talkative, you should really sit down i don’t recommend moving considering the damage your body endured” stretching your body, deciding to finally get up, just before you could, he held you down, the flame in his palm igniting once again. “who are you.” you shrugged, “i suggest you put your flames away, it doesn’t make you any more of a man, and by hurting me, you disadvantage the league” he watched you carefully, narrowing his eyes as you grabbed a cig from your pocket and lit the end with the flame exerting from his palm “quite a mouth, huh” he chuckled as he grabbed the cig from you and took a drag “you really shouldn’t be smoking” you watched as he titled his head back, smoke leaving his lips.

“what?”
“my name.”
“dabi”
dabi would stop by every week with minor injuries, it confused you deeply, small wounds that he could stitch up himself or with the help of an acquaintance but he refused to. eventually you’d wait for him almost everyday, waiting for the rhythmic rap of his knuckles agaisnt your door to let him in, today was one of those days, you watched him walk into the room, clutching his bleeding arm. “i’m starting to think you have a little crush on me dabi” “don’t flatter yourself dollface, i’m just terrible at this stuff” you pouted mockingly “aw, i bet Kurogiri could stitch you up pretty good, don’t ya think?” he chuckled as you cleaned his wound attentively and carefully, “i like it better when you do it” “i know you do, there’s no other explanation as to why you show up at my door at 2 in the morning to stitch up your wounds when you could just ask one of shiggys bandits”
“go on a date with me”

— BUT I’M A CHEERLEADER (part 4)
— summary: the party at lottie’s & its aftermath.
— warnings: friends to lovers. lots of fluff. the highly anticipated nsfw content. mdni. (this takes place in their last year of school. all characters in this are 18+!!)
the ‘post game hangout’ at lottie’s is in full swing by the time you and nat arrive in her car.
you half expect it to be a repeat of cheer squad gatherings: loud music, sharp glances, and judgment lurking behind every corner. but as soon as you step into lottie’s house -a massive place, bigger than any party you’ve been to before- it becomes clear this is a completely different world from what you’re used to.
it’s also much more of a party than just a ‘hangout’, but neither of you minds.
“lottie really knows how to throw a party, huh?” you say, glancing around. nat grins, giving you a playful side-eye. “she’s got the biggest house, so she kinda has to,”
the sound of music and muffled laughter spills from inside as you approach, punctuated by the occasional cheer or shout from someone already a few drinks deep.
“we don’t do small, cheerleader!”
“i can see that,” your eyes sweep over the pristine lawn and the line of cars already parked in the long driveway. nat gestures towards the door. “ready?”
you nod, even though you can feel the nerves bubbling up inside you. it’s not the party itself that unsettles you, it’s the fact that you’re walking in with nat. for all the teasing from the yellowjackets earlier, the lines between what you feel and what you’re allowed to feel still seem blurry and fragile.
the inside of lottie’s house is just as impressive as the exterior already gave away: the foyer opens into a sprawling living room that’s packed with people lingering in groups, red plastic cups in hand, the atmosphere buzzing.
nat nudges you with her elbow while you’re still busy taking it all in. “come on,” she says. “let’s find the others!”
just like that, you let her lead you through the crowd. there’s no weight of curious stares and whispered commentary you expected and nobody minds as you two make your way through the living room. when you finally reach the kitchen, it’s no surprise to see van perched on the kitchen island, a bottle of something strong-looking in her hand, while taissa leans against the counter next to where van’s legs are dangling, caught up in a conversation with jackie.
“hey, look who decided to show up!” van calls out, waving at you both.
nat rolls her eyes. “you just saw us on the field an hour ago,”
“yeah, but this is different,” she teases, hopping down from the counter to greet you. “field nat is all serious and intense. party nat’s a lot more fun. and hey-“ she leans in conspiratorially toward you “she’s even more fun when you’re around!”
nat shakes her head, but you can see the faintest hint of color creeping up her neck. “i’m grabbing drinks!” she announces to the group, shooting you a quick glance before disappearing toward the living room.
you’re left standing awkwardly near the doorway until jackie waves you over to join them. “c’mon, don’t just stand there!”
you hesitate but ultimately follow her lead, perching on the edge of the counter while van leans in, her grin mischievous.
“sooo…” she begins, drawing out the word. “how long’s this been a thing?”
you blink, caught off guard. “what?”
“when did you and nat figure this thing out?” taissa chimes in.
“i don’t- there’s no- what thing?”
jackie gives a soft laugh. “come on, don’t play dumb! nat’s been acting like a completely different person lately. more focused, less grumpy. it’s cute, really!”
tai leans in, her voice low but teasing. “it’s pretty obvious. she’s been head over heels for you since, what? the arcade?”
your cheeks heat as you stammer, “we’re not- she hasn’t- there’s nothing going on!”
jackie exchanges a knowing look with the two. “if you say so,” she mumbles teasingly over the edge of her cup.
van, on the other hand, doesn’t let up. “c’mon, it’s fine! we’re just saying it’s nice to see her like this! she’s, i dunno… softer? it’s not a bad thing!”
you laugh awkwardly, unsure how to respond. before you get the chance to tell them that there really isn’t anything going on, nat returns, drinks in hand. the others exchange more looks as she strides over.
“there we go,” she says, handing you a cup, her fingers brushing yours briefly in the process. even as you take it from her, your mind is still reeling from what van, jackie and taissa just said. nat, head over heels for you?
“so,” she asks. “what did i miss? what are you guys talking about?”
“nothing,” van says innocently, her grin suggesting otherwise.
“right…” nat says, slowly lifting her cup to her lips.
the conversation shifts after that, the others diving into lighthearted banter about the game, but your mind lingers on what they said.
you glance down at nat once, catching her watching you out of the corner of her eye. she quickly looks away, taking a sip from her drink, but the small, almost shy smile that follows makes your pulse quicken.
all throughout the conversation, you’re hyper-aware of nat’s presence below you, standing close enough to where you’re perched upon the kitchen counter for you to smell the faint scent of her cologne and feel the warmth that radiates off her even though she’s not quite touching you.
the others are deep in their talk, laughing about some ridiculous inside joke that you don’t quite understand but can’t help smiling at. you feel lighter than you have in weeks, lighter than you ever did amongst the cheerleaders, like you’re finally where you belong.
still, your gaze keeps drifting back to nat, the reason why you’re here to begin with, why you get to belong like that.
it’s the shift of the music in the background, a louder, more fast paced song, snaps you out of your thoughts. a few people filter onto the makeshift dance floor that lottie has cleared in the living room, swaying awkwardly at first before finding a rhythm as a larger group gathers.
you glance back at nat as an idea begins to take shape.
“do you wanna dance?” you ask, your voice quieter than you intended but still enough to catch only her attention. nat freezes mid-sip, her eyes widening slightly as she looks at you like you’ve just suggested something completely outrageous. “dance?”
your nod, grinning despite the nerves. “yeah, you know…where you move around to music. it’s kind of a thing people do at parties?”
her lips twitch into a smirk and she sets her drink down on the counter. “i know what dancing is, smartass. i just don’t…do it!”
“why not? scared you’ll look stupid?”
she scoffs, crossing her arms. “i don’t look stupid. just don’t like it. it’s not my thing,”
“come on!” you plead, now drawing the attention of the others as well. “just one dance! for fun? for me!”
for a moment, nat looks like she’s about to argue again, her brow furrowing as if she’s searching for an excuse. but then her eyes meet yours, and whatever she sees there makes her hesitate.
“show us how it’s done scatorccio!” van interrupts her train of thought, already urging her forward.
“fine,” nat mutters, pushing herself away from the counter, then waiting for you to hop off after. “but, i swear to god, if i step on your toes, it’s on you!”
you laugh, grabbing her hand before she can change her mind. “deal,”
you don’t need to turn your head to feel the eyes of all three girls on you as you make your way across the room.
leading her to the dance floor, you notice the way her hand lingers in yours, her grip firm, like she’s still not sure what to do with herself. the two of you find a spot near the edge, the lights dim and the music low, and you turn to face her with a grin.
“see? not so bad, right?”
“you haven’t even started yet!”
you turn so your back is to her front, already swaying to the rhythm of the song. nat hesitates for a beat before resting her hands awkwardly on your waist. it’s stiff and a little awkward at first, but the warmth of her touch sends a pleasant shiver through your body.
“relax,” you tease, moving against her. “you’re not being graded on this!”
she huffs out a laugh, her shoulders loosening just a bit. “easy for you to say. you’re probably great at this! you’re a cheerleader!”
the two of you settle into an easy rhythm, and while nat is still clearly out of her comfort zone, she starts to relax, her movements becoming less stilted. you can still feel the eyes of her teammates watching from the kitchen, but for once, you don’t care who sees. it’s just you and nat.
at one point, she leans in just a little closer. her voice is low and her fingers hook around the belt loops of your jeans as she murmurs, “this isn’t terrible,”
you laugh, your heart skipping at the new proximity. “told you so!”
the music flows seamlessly from one track to the next yet nat doesn’t leave the dance floor after the first song like you half expected her to. instead, she stays, her presence warm behind you, her fingers gentle on your waist.
even as the upbeat tempo shifts to something a little slower, you’re quick to tug her hand, keeping her on the floor so she won’t flee from you.
“not letting me off that easy, are you?”
instead of replying, nat spins you gently, making you laugh as you end up face to face, more suited for a slow dance like this. instinctively, you drape your arms over her shoulders and lace your fingers behind her back.
nat’s body seems much more relaxed now, her grip on your waist softer, her movements less self-conscious. you’re still swaying together, but there’s something gentler about it now, something intimate, with the soft glow of the lights playing across her features.
at this point, you’re hyper-aware of her hands on you and how close she’s standing. so close her hair brushes your cheek when she tilts her head, so close you can feel the shudder in her breath, sending a shiver down your spine that you hope she doesn’t notice.
“you’re getting the hang of it,” you mumble.
“don’t push it. this is already way more than just one dance,”
“it’s called making up for lost time,” you counter. “you’re doing great!”
nat snorts, shaking her head. “dont lie! i’m terrible at this!”
without hesitation, you tighten your grip on the back of her neck, pulling her gaze back to yours. “nat,” you say softly, catching her attention. “nat, seriously, you’re really not,” you insist, meeting her eyes.
the room seems to shrink as the two of you sway to the slower rhythm. the din of conversation and laughter fades into the background, leaving just the soft hum of music and the warmth of her presence in front of you. you glance up at her through your lashes, heart racing at how close she is. her gaze flickers down to meet your eyes, then drops lower, to your mouth, and for a moment, the world feels like it tilts on its axis.
the song begins to fade, and before either of you can move, someone takes over the stereo. the slow melody is abruptly replaced by an upbeat, fast-paced track that jolts you back to reality.
nat groans dramatically, stepping back with a shake of her head. “that’s my cue to get off this death trap!”
you laugh, reluctantly letting her slip away. if it wasn’t already, the party is in full swing now, with people around you shouting and singing along to the lyrics.
you follow nat, intending to tease her about her endurance, but something else catches your eye as she brushes her hand over her face: the faint smudge of black along her lower lash line, where the eyeliner she always wears has started to smear.
“wait,” you stop her just before she reaches the comfort of the kitchen the other yellowjackets seem to have claimed. “your eyeliner’s all smudged!”
“what?” nat frowns, her hand flying up to touch her cheekbone, wiping at her eye in an attempt to fix it. “are you serious?”
“stop,” you chuckle, reaching out to still her hand. “you’re only gonna make it worse! come on!”
“i can do it myself,” she protests, though she doesn’t pull away.
you tug her down the hallway, weaving through the crowd toward where you assume the bathroom is. even though she grumbles something under her breath about not caring how she looks, she doesn’t let go of your hand.
you close the door behind you, and nat stands just inside, her posture uncertain.
“sit,” you order, pointing to the closed toilet seat. “i’ll take care of it.”
she blinks before sitting down, knees pressed together, her hands resting awkwardly in her lap.
nat watches you, tracing every movement you make as you open your purse and pull out the small makeup bag. “do you really carry all that around with you?” she asks, her gaze meeting yours in the reflection of your mirror.
“hey! it’s for emergency touch-ups! comes in handy now, doesn’t it?” you laugh. “i could also leave you to look like a raccoon, if you want?”
nat huffs, shaking her head. “fine, fine. just get it over with.”
you turn around and step in, your knees brushing lightly against her legs. carefully, you move your fingers, steadying the eyeliner pencil.
“don’t make it weird,” she mutters.
you lift her chin gently to get a better angle, brushing her cheek with the pads of your fingers. “i’m not, i promise,”
nat doesn’t flinch when you trace her waterline, her eyes looking up as she stays still, her breath catching just a little as you work. there’s an undeniable pull now, an electric charge that shoots up your spine every time you glance at her.
you try to focus on the task, try to steady your hands, but it’s hard to concentrate when nat is so close. your heart beats louder than the soft scratch of the pencil on her skin.
“almost done,” you murmur.
when you finish, you lower the pencil and meet her touched-up eyes. they're wide as they turn to meet yours, her lips slightly parted. you don’t step back like you probably should. you don’t even remove your hands from her cheeks, where they still sit firmly.
there’s only the two of you and that undeniable pull. you’ve tried pushing it away, you’ve tried ignoring it. you’re tired of pretending like it’s not there.
you inhale deeply, your fingers tightening on her face and nat’s eyes fall to your lips. this time, it’s not a stolen glance either. it’s there, right in front of you, with neither of you bothering to hide it.
you’re about to close the space between you, when the door suddenly bursts open with a loud bang.
“guys!” van’s voice bursts through, full of energy and excitement. “you’re not gonna believe this, but-“ she stops mid-sentence when she sees you two, the scene frozen in place. for a beat, all three of you stand there, the room suddenly feeling much too small. van blinks a couple of times, clearly processing the intimate scene she’s interrupted, then grins from ear to ear.
“randy lost a bet and is jumping in the pool fully clothed!“ she announces. “but i guess you guys are…busy in there. i’ll leave you to it”
she’s already turning on her heel again, clearly not wanting to miss out on it. “remember to use protection kids!” she calls as she rushes down the hall. “don’t want any surprise bets on the way!”
you pull away just slightly, your heart still thudding loudly in your chest.
“uh, yeah,” nat says, clearing her throat, the moment slipping away from you. “we’ll be out in a minute!”
the second the door clicks shut, you and nat both exhale, as if you’d been holding your breath this entire time.
“i-“ nat starts but, for once, she doesn’t seem to know what to say.
“uh- i guess we should-“ you gesture over to where van had gone.
“yeah. yeah, definitely.”
you both stand in silence for another moment. for one last second, you think she might reach for you again. but she doesn’t. instead, nat takes a step back toward the door.
“wouldn’t want to miss out on that,” she says with a slight, uncertain grin, trying to shake off the awkwardness.
randy, true to his words, does make the fully-dressed dive into lottie’s pool, which earns him laughter and applause from the spectators surrounding the scene. the water splashes high as he emerges, dripping wet and grinning like a madman.
you don't catch half of it, too preoccupied with watching nat from across the yard, laughing with the rest of her teammates. you should have kissed that smiling mouth when you had the chance.
by the time the party begins to wind down hours later, only a few yellowjackets remain. the energy in the living room is mellowed but still full of warmth. van and taissa are the last women standing, still swaying to the beat of some toto song that's playing from the stereo. on the couch, shauna and jackie are curled up together, their heads close, their low murmurs barely audible over the fading music.
you stand near nat, a comfortable silence between you two as you observe the scene.
“guess it’s time to go,” nat says quietly, fiddling with the carabiner on her jeans as she searches for her keys. “lottie!” she calls, catching her attention from where she's chatting with laura lee -the only one of the group who’s still completely sober.
nat untangles the keys and holds them up. “i’ll leave the car here for the night, alright? just move it if it’s in the way!” she explains, setting them down on the table.
“you two heading out?”
“yeah, just walking home,” you tell lottie, nudging nat with your elbow.
“alright,” she hums, waving goodbye. “good night,”
“night!” you both call out to the group before turning to leave.
the cool night air is refreshing after hours in the suffocating warmth of lottie’s place and the streets seem quieter, the house fading in the distance as you walk side by side.
her hand brushes against yours every now and then, but neither of you makes a move just yet. the streetlights flicker above, casting soft golden light on the pavement ahead. you don’t speak right away, both of you settling into a comfortable silence as you walk.
the distance to your house is surprisingly short, but every step feels like it lasts a little longer than it should, like neither of you is ready for the night to end. it’s strange how just walking with nat feels like it could stretch into infinity, and you’d be content with that.
when you do reach the front porch, you stop, hand resting on the railing. nat lingers at the bottom of the stairs behind you, her own hands shoved in her pockets, not in any hurry to leave. you turn to face her, your pulse quickening in the stillness of the night.
finally, you find your voice: “thanks for tonight, nat,” you say. “i…i had a great time!”
for a beat you stand there, frozen in place, wondering if there’s more you’re supposed to say. your eyes meet hers again. you could say goodbye. you could walk inside, end the night, and pretend like there’s nothing more to it. but the moment feels too big, too full of things unsaid for you to walk away from it.
you turn fully to face her, your heart racing just a little. before you can second-guess yourself, you stumble down the stairs and grab the collar of her jacket. nat doesn’t have time to react, her eyes widening just as you pull her toward you, and in one swift motion, you press your lips to hers like you’ve been dying to all night.
everything pauses. the kiss is unexpected, quick, and electric. a mix of everything unspoken between you two. all the tension that’s built up over the weeks, all the doubts and fears, dissolve in that single, raw moment. nat’s body goes still, as if neither of you can quite process what’s happening.
then, almost as if waking up, she finally responds, her hands gently cupping your face. her lips move against yours with a softness that you hadn’t expected from nat: she’s slow at first, cautious as if she’s waiting for you to change your mind. but you pull her in closer, deepening the kiss without thinking.
the moment shatters only when you hear the faint sound of a car driving by down the street. you both jump apart then, but not far enough to break the connection. breath comes a little quicker now as you stand there on the porch, eyes locked, saying nothing.
the car drives by, leaving you invisible in the shadows of your house.
a beat.
you don't even register jumping back into motion, but suddenly, you're both stumbling back toward the door, lips locked again, hands moving instinctively, pulling each other closer. your heart beats faster with every step, every touch. you can't get enough of her.
you reach the lock, fingers fumbling with the key for a moment before it finally turns, letting you slip inside. the door closes quietly behind you, carefully pulled to avoid a sound. inside, it is quiet and dark, the house hiding you as you stand there, just breathing. nat’s forehead rests against yours, both of you too lost in the moment to speak, but the tension is still there, palpable.
nat breaks the silence first, her voice low, barely a whisper. "are we...doing this?"
you smile, your thumb brushing across her jaw as you pull her back into another kiss, slow and deliberate, like you're both savoring every second of it. you don't pull away at all this time. instead, you guide her to your room, the distance from the door to your bed feeling like miles.
you stumble against furniture and walls on the way there, giggling into each other’s mouths as you try to find your way.
when you finally make it to your room, you're both panting heavily, your hands still holding onto each other as if afraid one of you will slip away if you let go.
all the past weeks have come down to this.
nat leans down to kiss you again, even slower this time, her hands coming to rest on your waist, her fingers warm through the fabric of your clothes. you press yourself against her, and the kiss deepens, more urgent now, as though you both can't help yourselves anymore.
“we have-“ you murmur against her lips between kisses. “-to be quiet!”
nat smiles softly, nodding, her mouth brushing against your ear as she murmurs, "i think we can manage,”
you grin in relief. carefully, you make your way to the bed. the only sound is the soft rustle of clothes being discarded, and then the warmth of her hands against your skin, sending shivers down your spine.
“i’ve never-“ you begin as you toss nat’s leather jacket over your chair. your teeth dig into your lower lip nervously, both because you’re admitting this to her and because you know what’s still to come.
“hey,” nat nudges your chin so you’re looking back up at her. her hands reach for your cheeks, the cold metal of her rings pressing against your skin. “it’s okay. you’re okay”
you nod on a shaky exhale and nat’s smile softens, mirroring your expression.
“we don’t have to-” she starts, but you're already cutting her off.
“no!” the word comes out too eager, too rushed, and you feel your face heat. “no. i want to!”
no matter how appreciative you are of her patience and assurance, you do feel ready. you had been the minute she’d first kissed you under the porch light (perhaps even long before that), when her chapped lips started moving against yours slowly.
nat nods once, her tongue darting out to wet her lips, and your eyes fall to her mouth, helplessly transfixed. “okay” she says quietly. “okay...”
she's on you in seconds, her lips capturing yours again, her weight pressing against you until your back hits the mattress.
your arms wrap around her shoulders, pulling her impossibly closer, and she hums into your mouth, the sound vibrating against your lips. nat’s fingers skim your sides, slipping beneath the hem of your shirt, her nails dragging lightly over your skin. goosebumps rise in their wake, and you shiver involuntarily when her rings brush your bare side.
nat pulls back, her lips grazing yours as she grins. “cold?”
“a little,” you admit, breathlessly.
nat's teasing smirk only grows as she sits back on her knees, perched over your legs. her hand rests flat against your lower abdomen, just above where your shirt has ridden up, while the other ghosts over your ribs.
you reach for the one pressing against you, your thumbs circling her wrist to pull it in. you hold her hand up between you, examining the metal bands on each finger for a brief moment before leaning forward. one by one, you kiss the tips of her fingers, your lips hovering over the cool metal as you move lower.
above you, nat sucks in a sharp breath.
you glance up, and her wide, surprised eyes meet yours.
your finger brushes over her knuckles as you tug one ring free, then another. nat’s gaze follows every movement, and when you press another gentle kiss to her now-bare fingers, a tremor runs through her. you set the rings down on your bedside table and turn back up to look at nat.
the tension between you hums like a live wire, but it's not overwhelming. it's something else entirely, something that feels right.
nat swallows hard, her lips twitching upward. “better?” she asks.
“yeah,” you rasp. “way better.”
you sit up to meet her halfway this time, giving her room to peel your shirt off and toss it aside. it lands on the floor by the side of your bed softly, leaving you in a plain black bra. still, her eyes rake over your chest both hungrily and with an adoration that’s softer than anything you’ve ever seen playing out on nat’s features.
“you’re so-“ she says, her fingers twitching like she’s resisting the urge to reach out. once again, you take nat’s hand in yours and guide it to cup your breast. you both exhale simultaneously, adjusting to the new sensation. she must feel your hardened nipples through the fabric, judging by the way her gaze drops and she bites her lip.
experimentally, nat’s thumb flicks the pebbled nipple, instantly drawing a shuddered moan from you.
“nat, off,” you manage, head lulling back already.
thankfully, she complies: nat reaches around your back and smoothly unhooks the clasps. while holding the eye contact, she pulls the fabric off, exposing your bare chest to the chilly night air. she discards it carefully, letting it join the growing pile of clothes on the floor.
“you too!” you urge, fingers impatiently reaching for nat’s tank top. she smiles but helps you get it off and throws it aside, revealing the red bra she’s wearing underneath. the sight takes your breath away, and you’re stunned into silence. unlike nat, you can’t help yourself but blatantly stare.
“you’re so pretty,” you finally whisper, leaning in to kiss the swell of her breasts that spill from the bra.
nat’s now bare fingers tangle in your hair as she guides you, letting you have this. you mouth at the fabric eagerly, yet before you can pull it down, nat pushes you back into the sheets.
you don’t feel exposed like you thought you would in this position, even though you evidently are: with your hair sprawled out around your head on the pillows, your nipples hard and on full display, and your chest heaving rapidly. you can feel the wet patch in your underwear.
nat leans over you and begins kissing down the expanse of your upper body. her mouth trails down the valley between your breasts, leaving the faintest marks in the places where she sucks on your skin just a little harder.
“so pretty,” nat mumbles absentmindedly, her calloused fingertips roaming your sides. they fall to your pants next. with both eyes closed and your head thrown back into the plushy pillows, you nod.
“please,” you whisper into the space between you. a space that’s yours and nat’s only. “please!”
“i got you, cheerleader,” nat says teasingly. you blink an eye open to see her staring down at you. her hands spring into action, skilled fingers unbuttoning your jeans before unzipping them and peeling them off your legs. you kick them down the edge of the bed, leaving you completely bare except for the thin, soaked fabric of your underwear. nat must see the stain on the fabric from where she’s sitting between your knees.
her palms press flat against your legs, brushing up their length until they land on the flesh of your inner thighs and nudge them apart. if she hadn’t seen your arousal before, the pleased smile on her face when her eyes land on your crotch speaks volumes.
“holy shit,” she mutters, her voice husky and low.
you want her, you realize, more than you’ve ever wanted anything else before. you want her fingers, her mouth, whatever nat is willing to give you. you tremble with the force of allowing yourself to feel this kind of want, to let it take over you without any attempts or reasons to oppress it.
“nat,”
her eyes flick up and her fingers instinctively reach for the waistline of your panties, a silent question hanging between you.
“yes!” you nod. “yes please!”
instead of taking them off right away like you had expected, nat begins kissing up your inner thighs, occasionally letting her tongue dart out to lick over your skin.
“can i…?” she husks when her nose practically nudges the crotch of your underwear.
too impatient to deprive yourself of it any longer, you hook your fingers into the hemline yourself and push them down past your knees.
nat smiles up at you softly before she lets her eyes drop to your naked form. you can feel all the places where your wetness is sticking to your thighs, the air making you hyper-aware of all the wet spots.
“god,” she groans, her fingers running through her bleach blonde hair. “look at you…” she brings her other hand up to gently spread you open and take in the sight of your body bare before her.
you spread your legs a little wider for her, gasping when nat’s thumb brushes your clit for the first time. your soft moan makes her crawl up your body, her lips meeting yours in a searing kiss to hush you, her fingers gliding through your arousal.
“nat,” you moan against her mouth. “nat, inside.”
thankfully, nat understands. your body tenses when she slides them into you with a soft moan of her own, then immediately relaxes when she smiles against your lips. you feel yourself fluttering around her as you take nat in greedily.
“good?” she breathes, motionless until you nod erratically. that’s when she begins to move.
immediately, she’s drawing obscenely wet noises from between your thighs that echo from the walls around you. you gasp at one particular good thrust against your walls, her fingers curling against a spot that causes your eyes to roll back in your head.
you moan as your head falls back against the pillows and your mouth hangs open against nat’s. you cling to her body breathlessly, reaching around her back as her fingers work themselves deeper into you.
“mhm, i know,” nat gently whispers, “i know, that’s it, i got you,”
all her praise goes straight to your cunt, sending another wave of pleasure surging through your body. your hand finds hers through the haze and you lace your fingers together. you need to feel her, need to know that she’s still there.
“you take my fingers so well,” she praises, each word accompanied by another thrust. you nod once again, her voice sending you spiraling and gushing more arousal all over her fingers.
“i’m gonna put my mouth on you now, is that okay?” she asks.
“yeah!” you instantly assure, eyes turning to the ceiling above, mentally bracing yourself for the sensation of her lips and tongue on your pussy. “yeah, please!”
she doesn’t kiss your body as thoroughly this time for the sake of reaching her destination faster: only brushes her lips over your stomach briefly before getting comfortable between your spread legs.
your hands curl up in her hair tightly in anticipation and nat hums in response before her mouth closes around your clit and sucks. nothing could’ve ever prepared you for the actual feeling of nat scatorccio's mouth.
you can see her eyes through her sweaty bangs, catch the way they roll back in head at the first taste of you.
“oh, nat!” you moan, louder than you should, but neither of you cares. you arch your back off the soft sheets, grinding yourself against nat’s broad tongue until you feel your stomach coiling and tightening in pleasure. there’s an unrelenting tension building up there, one that’s just waiting to snap. she lets you chase your orgasm, allows you to move however you please.
“are you close?” nat murmurs against you, her fingers sliding back into your cunt so suddenly you shudder. it seems harder for her to thrust into you now, with your walls tightening around the digits.
“i think so” you manage breathlessly.
nat, spurred out by this, doubles her efforts and dives right back in, flicking your clit with her tongue and curling her fingers against your g-spot. it’s so much. it’s not nearly enough. it’s perfect.
nat sends you over the edge in mere seconds.
“that’s it,” you hear her praising.
with a cry of nat's name, you cum against the feeling of her mouth and fingers. you can still sense her voice talking you through it, but it feels distant with the pleasure rushing through your veins.
her hand squeezes yours through the orgasm, grounding you as you tremble with pleasure. not once does she take her eyes off you as you ride out the waves of your height.
only when your body stops shaking, nat pulls out, clearly not wanting to push you to a point of overstimulation. someday, you think to yourself, you might ask her to. but not tonight. tonight you want to enjoy the new experience with her and the tenderness of nat’s touch.
the next time you open your heavy lidded eyes, nat is lingering above you. she’s watching you recover through wide, curious eyes.
“hi,” she whispers when she notices.
“hi,” you chuckle, still breathless.
“was that…” nat trails off, biting her lips. “okay?”
instead of a verbal response, you cup her cheeks and crane your neck to gently kiss her lips. you can taste yourself on them and have to fight back the urge to lick your arousal from nat’s mouth.
“more than okay,” you whisper then.
you’re spinning her around before you know it, kissing nat with newfound determination as you press her into the mattress.
there’s a long night ahead of you.
the room is dim now, the only light coming from the soft glow of the streetlight outside. nat is perched on the windowsill, the cool night air blowing in through the open window. she exhales smoke, the grey tendrils curling lazily in the air before disappearing into the darkness, and you watch her.
“can i ask you something?” nat’s voice is soft, her eyes lingering on the street outside.
you nod, drawing your legs closer to your chest you as you sit beside her. “of course,”
she turns to you, a hint of vulnerability in her eyes. “what does this…what does it all mean for us? i mean, after everything with your ex, i want to be sure, you know? i don’t want you to feel like you have to rush into anything or that i’m, like, pressuring you,”
you can tell nat is trying to be careful for your sake, but it’s obvious her mind is already on what’s next. you want to reassure her, to let her know this is what you want, something that feels right in a way nothing ever did with your ex.
“nat,” you begin “it’s okay. i do want this. i want you. i’m not going anywhere!”
she blinks at you, her gaze softening as the words settle between you two. she takes a slow drag from her cigarette, letting the smoke drift out of her mouth with a sigh. then, she sets it aside on the sill, her fingers tracing a light path along the window frame.
“i just want to make sure I’m doing this right,” she murmurs. “i mean, i kinda jumped into it with you. and, look, i’ve never really been one for...all of this, you know? i want to take my time with you. show you that i want this!”
your eyes widen just slightly, a smile tugging at your lips. “you want to take your time with me?”
nat looks away for a second, clearly flustered. “i know, i know. it sounds fucking ridiculous, but…yeah. i do. i’ve never really done this right with anyone before, and i want us to take this slow!” she glances back at you. “not because i don’t want you! god, i do! it's cause i really do want to…swoon you properly”
you laugh, a light sound, your heart swelling with affection. “you’re really something, you know that?”
“a hopeless romantic,” she jokes, but you can tell there’s none of her usual sarcasm behind it.
you pull nat a little closer, your fingers brushing against her hand. “i’d love that,” you whisper, meeting her eyes. “i’d love for you to…” you grin, making a vague gesture. “swoon me”
before she can say anything else, you kiss her. it’s slow, sweet, the kind of kiss that feels like it could go on forever if you wanted it to. eventually, you do have to pull away to catch your breath.
“i’m not going anywhere either,” you assure. “take all the time you need, nat. i’m right here!”
she grins, a little sheepish but undeniably happy, and leans in to kiss you again, this time with more certainty, more trust.
“deal,” she murmurs. “but, for the record, i do want to be your girlfriend. if that’s…something you want, too?”
just when you thought this evening couldn’t get any better...
“yeah” you confirm, smiling so widely your cheeks ache from it. “that is something i want,”
weeks later…
the air is warm, bordering on too hot, a hint of summer heat creeping into the car despite the ac as the engine hums quietly. the smell of fresh grass and the distant sound of chatter from the graduation ceremony echo outside, but inside, it’s just the two of you.
you and nat are in the backseat, both of you in your graduation gowns, caps discarded carelessly on the passenger seat. the gowns, those stiff, awkward, and uncomfortable outfits, are crumpled around your bodies as you make out.
your girlfriend’s lips are warm against your own, her hand tangled in your hair as she urges you against herself. her laughter vibrates against your mouth, and you break the kiss just enough to look at her, eyes practically sparkling with mischief.
“we’re going to be late,” nat murmurs between soft kisses down your neck, her voice teasing. “they’ll be looking for us, and then we’ll be arrested for public indecency!”
you laugh, a soft, breathless noise that blends with the hum of the engine, and shake your head. “who cares?” you press your lips against hers again. “i’d rather be here with you!”
nat grins, a little breathless herself now. “yeah, me too.” she leans in again, but pulls back just as quickly, glancing at the clock on the dashboard. “we’re literally getting our diplomas in, like, 10 minutes. and we’re in the back of my car, making out. that doesn’t exactly scream ‘responsible graduates,’ does it?”
you both burst into laughter, the sound of it filling the space of her car. “let’s just skip the ceremony and do this all day,” you tease, your fingers brushing over her gown, feeling the fabric slide beneath your touch.
nat laughs again, pulling away to look at you with that same fond, playful expression she always has when she’s teasing you. “we could,” she says, “but i think the others might kill us!”
you chuckle, then glance out the window briefly. the ceremony is happening just outside the school, with enough room for all your classmates to gather for one final moment together.
you know this is it: this is a chapter closing. but for now, it doesn’t matter. all that matters is this moment. with nat and the heat of summer beginning to settle in around you.
her fingers brush your cheek, pulling your focus back to her. “we should really get out there,” she says, though there’s no real urgency in her tone. it’s clear that she wants to stay here with you just as much as you do too.
“i know,” you reply softly. then, after a pause, you add: “in a second!”
“in a second,” nat parrots, her voice full of affection. “just a few more minutes…then we can go face the world together, as graduates, yeah?”
you nod, your heart racing as her tongue briefly slips past your lips, deepening the kiss. her hand cups your cheek and her thumb brushes your skin, the free one creeping up beneath your gown, pushing your bra up and…
suddenly, there’s a loud knock on the window.
you both freeze, breaking apart so fast that nat accidentally bumps her head against the roof of the car. “shit!” she mutters, rubbing the back of her head as you whip your gaze toward the window.
outside, van is standing with a huge grin, tapping the glass with her knuckles. the rest of the team is waiting right behind her, all of them smirking knowingly.
“hey, lovebirds!” she calls, loud enough to make sure you both hear through the glass. she leans down so her face is level with the window, cupping her hands to block out the glare of the sun. “you two realize we can see you, right?” she says. “pretty sure the rest of the parking lot can too!”
nat groans, dragging a hand over her face while you stifle a laugh. she opens the door and climbs out, glaring half-heartedly at van. “ever heard of knocking quietly?” she grumbles.
“oh, i did,” van replies, her grin widening. “you just didn’t notice. wonder why…”
nat flips her off, more playful than anything. “you’re so annoying!”
“yeah, yeah.” van waves her off, completely unbothered. “let’s go, casanova!”
you climb out after nat, smoothing your gown and trying not to blush too hard under the knowing smirks of the yellowjackets gathered around.
jackie and shauna have their arms looped casually around each other as they exchange a look. “about time,” jackie says. “thought we’d have to drag you two out ourselves!”
nat snorts. “i don’t think either of you could’ve managed that!”
“don’t tempt us,” shauna fires back with a grin. “we’ve wrestled worse!”
“anyway,” taissa cuts in, grinning as she straightens the yellow sash draped over her blue gown. “can we get moving before we miss the ceremony?”
nat mutters something under her breath as she adjusts her own gown. you glance down, realizing the fabric is slightly askew where it had bunched up in the car.
“here, let me-” you step in closer, smoothing out the material over her shoulder and down her arm. your hands linger a second longer than necessary, and when you look up, nat’s gaze is soft.
van groans loudly, dragging out the sound and snapping you out of it. “oh my god, you two. we get it! you’re gross and in love! can we please go now?”
nat ignores her this time, grabbing your hand and intertwining your fingers together under the loose fabric of the gown sleeves as she tugs you toward the others.
by the time you reach the staging area, you've all settled into an easy hum of excitement. parents and relatives of your classmates chatter nearby, camera flashes going off as the graduates start lining up.
nat pulls you aside, letting the others shuffle ahead for a moment.
“everything okay?” you ask, your voice low.
she hesitates, glancing at the bustling staging area where the rest of the yellowjackets have gathered. then her eyes return to yours. “yeah, it’s just…this is it, huh?”
you tilt your head, smiling softly. “graduation?”
“no, i mean…this. us. life after this,” she says, her voice dipping quieter. “it’s all gonna change!”
your chest tightens at her words. things with you have been going well these past weeks. great even. life after graduation had been something you always purposefully avoided. you didn’t want to ruin your last weeks of this by worrying about what would come after.
now, before you can let the thought spiral, nat squeezes your hand. “not in a bad way,” she says. “i just…i want you to know, whatever happens now, wherever we end up, you’re it for me. you know that, right?”
it’s such a simple thing, the way she says it, but it hits you like the sweetest punch to the gut. you smile at her, your chest full of a warmth you can’t quite describe. “you’re it for me too, nat,”
before you can process what’s happening, the words tumble out of nat. “god, i love you!”
it’s barely above a whisper, but it’s there: raw and real and so perfectly nat. your heart skips a beat, your eyes widening as the weight of her confession sinks in.
she freezes, clearly realizing what she’s just said. “i- i mean-” she stammers, her cheeks flushing as she starts to backtrack. “you totally don’t have to say it back or anything! i just-“
“i love you too!” your voice cuts off her rambling. relief washes over her face, and she lets out a breathy laugh. “you do?” nat asks, like she’s scared she misheard.
you nod, stepping closer until the space between you is nearly nonexistent. “yeah, nat, i do”
she grins, her hands coming up to hold your face as she leans in. you kiss her back just as eagerly, forgetting for a moment that you’re supposed to be at graduation, that there’s a whole crowd of people right around the corner.
only the sound of a camera click jolts you both back to reality. you pull apart, turning to see jackie standing a few feet away with a polaroid camera in hand and a smug grin on her face.
“oh, come on!” nat groans, her hands falling from your face as jackie waves the photo in the air.
“this is going on the fridge,” she teases, holding it just out of reach.
“give it back!” you protest, laughter bubbling out of you as nat starts toward her. “come and get it!” jackie taunts, taking off toward the rest of the group.
you glance at nat, who’s already chasing after her. without thinking, you follow.
van watches the scene unfold, shaking her head with a grin. “they’re never gonna make it on time,” she says.
“totally worth it,” taissa replies, smirking as you and nat disappear into the crowd after jackie.
somewhere across the field, the cheer squad is frantically fixing their hair and makeup, their voices filled with nervous chatter. you don’t even notice. for the first time in what feels like forever, they’re the furthest thing from your mind.
the only thing you can think about is nat: her laughter, her smile, and the way her hand feels in yours as you chase after jackie.
and as you run, breathless and alive, you realize that all of this was supposed to happen. that you are exactly where you're meant to be.

Widows rest
My take on a Black widow! Reader x Batman and Batfam but with a slight twist, reader doesn't know the Bats but they seem to know them...
Warning: contains avengers infinity war spoilers, black widow spoilers, brief mentions of violence, mentions of death, hospitals, poor writing, possible ooc,
Part 4: Plan of action.
🔹🔹🔹
You're restless, the impromptu visit from your supposed “husband” plagues you as you pick apart every second of it, from the mannerisms of him and the doctor to how he spoke to you. Even all the meds they've got you on haven't knocked you out yet even though it's late, the lights dimmed and the rest of the facility has fallen relatively quiet. Nothing else to do you think, piece out what little you have.
You know you died, jumped to your death on an alien planet far from earth. You remember the feeling, the pain, as quick as it was was unbearable, shock not having time to settle in. Yet you're on earth in a hospital bed, an undetermined amount of time having passed, no mention of aliens or the snap or the heroes you worked under. No Thanos. That's the only part you're thankful for.
But a partner? Kids? Not in your life. Something's wrong.
You stare at the dark ceiling for what feels like hours, the lack of Windows frustrates you since you can't even see what time of day it is, just go off the staff's schedules, the room feels like a choke point, a cell, a little box you're shoved into. You just hope they haven't played with the supersoldier serum again. A noise stirs outside your door, you relax your whole body as you wrap your hand around the syringe, subtly popping the cap off.
The door makes little sound, it's well oiled it seems, if it weren't for the air changing you'd have thought it was just someone walking by, a nurse or something. The fact that they're sneaking is enough for you to act, your eyes closed in feigned rest. the air changes again, above your head to the left, quick as a cat you strike out with the syringe.
🔹🔹🔹
If Tim hadn't hadn't just come off a case he might not have been so jumpy, he might have taken the needle right in the neck. He quickly yet awkwardly grabs at the hand and bats it away before he gets stabbed, his eyes widening under the cowl.
“Woah! Woah calm down! Easy I'm one of the good guys.” He holds his hands up placatingly and steps back, what the hell just happened? You were seemingly asleep a second ago!
“Come on, why does everybody go for the neck?” He grumbles as he eyes the syringe, his eyes quickly meeting yours even though his aren't visible, at least you're awake now?…
“good guys don't sneak up on people in hospitals, who are you and how'd you get in here.” Your voice is steely as you study the man, he sounds young, really likes red and black it seems…is that a cape? A bit dramatic for your taste.
“Wha- hey Gotham heroes do! It's our- Okay let's get back on target here, can we put the needle down? You won't be needing that.” He steps closer slowly, when you don't immediately relinquish the makeshift weapon he stops short of the hospital bed.
Gotham huh, sounds like a made-up name. Your expression doesn't falter. “you didn't answer my questions, name and business here?”
“…I'm red Robin, you remember that?”
Your eyes narrow, he's clearly gotten a hold of your diagnosis somehow, bribery? Impersonating a doctor? Hacking? Maybe they're just all in on it.
“No. Why are you named after a fast food joint?” It's a trip question, throw him for a loop to see how he reacts.
He looks taken aback, his foot sliding back slightly as he tilts his head, offended possibly?
“I'm actually moreso honoring Robin, guess it's a bit in the nose eh?”
He glances at you like he expects something, the silence stretches on, you both staring at each other until it starts to get uncomfortable. His feet shift again, his hands start fidgeting with his pockets.
“…who's this Robin?” you ask blankly, fed up with all the name games already. You pull yourself upright in the bed, the syringe still held close to you just Incase.
“You…. Do you remember Batman?” He sounds genuinely upset for a moment, subconsciously leaning towards you. there's that spark of attachment like with the Wayne, what the hells going on?
“bat-man? Like, Chiroptera family, or a baseball bat?”
It's a fair question in your mind, you're no stranger to literal codenames so maybe it's some man with a wooden bat. another staring contest, silence blankets over the two of you for another uncomfortable moment. If this is an interrogation or assassination attempt it's a poor one.
“…how do you even-okay this is getting out of hand. I just wanted to see how you're doing, how's your head?” He starts to gesture towards you and then stops, clearly still wary of the syringe in your fist.
“don't know. pain meds.” Sounds answer enough in your mind, red Robin nods with a slight grimace on what's visible of his face, seemingly satisfied with that.
He shifts from foot to foot, restless or impatient? Head tilting down as he worries his lip, your eyes narrow as you watch the young man process something.
“…. I'm gonna figure something out to help your memory, okay?” He speaks firmly after an awkward moment of silence, reaching out to Pat your shoulder absentmindedly before flinching back again. What is with the familiarity? The people here are too touchy in your opinion.
He ducks out of the room without another word after that, silence falling over you once again, you're not letting that guy anywhere near your memories, that's for sure.
🔹🔹🔹
That was….a lot, Tim's dealt with a lot of weird shit in his day. people high off fear toxin, mind control, time vortex's, but this was just unsettling. In the GC Bruce described them as off, but mostly just disoriented, dazed maybe. They spoke gently and accepted their situation seemingly well. That's not what Tim saw, they were like a completely different person wearing his parent's face. The body language, the aggression, the tone infliction and way of speaking, that wasn't just a younger brain version of them, Tim's sure of it. Maybe they were more affected by the incident than anyone realized?….
Tim leaps rooftop to rooftop as he tries to puzzle it out, dropping down onto a fire escape and pausing, watching the hustle and bustle of Gothams nightlife. He'll figure out a way to help them, and that's a fact.
🔹🔹🔹
A/n: didn't forget Timmy boi was with Bruce, he just wanted to show up in dramatic fashion, this almost backfired on him spectacularly.

———————————・❥・———————————
The kitchen was a mess. Your frilly pink apron was covered in flour, the ingredients were still scattered all over the kitchen island, and you were just placing another tray of cookie dough in the oven because your first batch got burnt to a crisp. You told yourself to not dwell on your first failure of the day and move on to cleaning up the kitchen. You quickly threw away all of the scraps into the trash, put all the leftover ingredients in their respective places, and wiped down the kitchen island clean. While cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, your phone suddenly vibrated in your jean pocket. You jolted a little and grabbed your phone to check what it could be. Your eyes widened at the ringing alarm, and you were rushing to get everything all nice and clean as the clock continued to tick.
Fuck, I have fifteen minutes. This is what I get for waking up late.
The kitchen was now clean, but the only thing you now have left to deal with was the tray of burnt cookies. Oh how you hated looking at them. The sight brought tears to your eyes a little. You wanted to throw them out, but you also hated the idea of just wasting food. Maybe the burntness added some special flavor. You would never know. Before you were reaching to grab one of the burnt cookies, your phone buzzed again. You opened your phone once more, and all you got was one singular text. It was the kind of text you typically loved receiving, but only this time, it sent you to another frenzy.
Lixie: i’m on my way, angel baby. see you soon <3
Oh fuck, he’s on his way. You quickly snatched your apron off, and immediately rushed to your bedroom to change into your clothes for the evening: a simple and cute off-the-shoulder baby blue minidress with white knit stockings, a white ribbon to put your hair up in a half ponytail, and of course a pair of baby blue ballet styled shoes. You planned this whole outfit for weeks but couldn’t figure out the right time for it. Well, this was the day for it. After putting on the outfit, you rushed back to the kitchen to check on the new batch of cookies in the oven. The oven started to ring, and that was your queue to take the cookies out. You put on your pink oven mitts, opened the oven, and gradually took the tray out. However, as you were doing so, your doorbell rang.
Felix!!
You quickly put the hot tray and oven mitts down on the kitchen island, closed the oven, and approached your front door—all while trying to stay as composed as possible. You opened the door, and in front of you was your boyfriend standing in the most lethal outfit he could ever put together. First of all, that damn black turtleneck, which fitted him like a glove. You could even see the little sliver of his skin if you looked down at his waist. He was also wearing a pair of black jeans to go with his shirt, and black leather dress boots. He looked like he just walked out of a VIP event or a business meeting or whatever thing rich people do in their free time. Second of all, his sandy blonde hair looked so soft and fluffy that you just wanted to play with it all day until your heart’s content. And finally, his hands were of course occupied with a large bouquet of your favorite flowers, which made you swoon all over again.
“Hey, Handsome,” you giggled.
Felix couldn’t help but chuckle too. His eyes traveled up and down your body, taking in how utterly adorable you looked in your outfit. The way the dress fitted on you, along with the cute stockings made you an enticing sight. Not to mention, all the baby blue: his favorite color, no doubt
“Hey, Gorgeous,” he leaned in and gave you a kiss on the cheek before handing you the bouquet. “I got these for you.”
“Awww you shouldn’t have,” you took the bouquet in your hands and sniffed it, already entranced by the strong floral scent. “Mmmm it smells wonderful.”
“So does your house,” Felix walked in through the door, already hungry from the smell of freshly bake cookies. “Did you make cookies?”
“Yep, I made some. I just took them out of the oven, so they’re still a little hot.”
Felix nodded and walked to the kitchen, while you went to your living room to put the bouquet in the empty glass vase that was on your coffee table. You realized that you forgot to get water for the flowers, so you went back to the kitchen to get a cup of water. Once you entered the kitchen, you saw Felix enjoying the cookies you made—the burnt ones. Your heart stopped, realizing that you totally forgot to take care of the burnt cookies.
“Felix! Why are you eating the burnt ones?!”
“I didn’t know you were a talented baker, Baby,” he teased, wiping the black crumbs off his lips.
“Oh shut up,” you retorted, walking up to kitchen island and pushing the burnt cookies aside. You then grabbed the tray of perfectly baked cookies and put it in front of Felix. “Why have those when you could have these instead?”
You put your hands on your hips and gave your boyfriend a sassy expression. Felix laughed a little, loving how your pouty lips looked. He grabbed one perfectly baked cookie from the tray and took a bite. His heart immediately melted at the first bite, and his eyes rolled back in pleasure, shamelessly moaning. You couldn’t help but laugh at his honest reaction, all while your cheeks were heating up with that pink glow. He chewed on it softly, intending to savor the warm, delicious, and gooey chocolate taste. There was even a hint of saltiness, which was perfect to his taste.
“Mmm, these do taste delicious,” Felix said before pulling you in by the waist and kissing your temple. “You outdid yourself, Pumpkin.”
“Really?” you blush and nuzzle into his side. Your nose was then hit with a puff of his spicy and sweet cologne. The butterflies in your stomach fluttered, and you couldn’t help but get an extra sniff, already making your legs and feel weak.
“Yeah, but the burnt ones are tasty too.”
“You’re lyyyyiiiinnnngggg,” you whined, your voice a little muffled by the fabric of his turtleneck. “You’re just saying that to make me feel better.”
“No, Honey, I’m being for real.”
Felix grabbed a burnt cookie and gently pushed it through your lips. Your eyes widened, and you were immediately hit with the hot taste of charcoal and no sweetness. The burnt cookie was so crunchy that it disintegrated in your mouth. Your tongue felt so sandy and dry, and you immediately rushed to the sink to pour yourself a glass of water. Felix laughed, as you took a breather from drinking in so much cold water to wash out the awful, ashy taste.
“See, I told you it wouldn’t taste bad,” Felix chuckled.
“It was awful,” you coughed, “That thing felt like chewing on a burning cigar.”
“At least you did better the second time. The non-burnt cookies really are tasty.”
“You mean it?”
“Of course, Angel,” Felix pulled you closer to his body and held you tight. Your cheeks reddened once more, as his arms wrapped around you. His cologne was once again overwhelming your nose, making you feel a little lightheaded. Not to mention, you could feel his abs through his tight black turtleneck, igniting the temptation to just touch him. “And even if they were burnt, I’d still eat it. I love anything my good girl makes.”
His lips were right against your ear, his hands landed on your waist—tightly grabbing you—and his deep whispers sent shivers up and down your spine. You blushed even more. Your cheeks might as well be a second heater. It wasn’t helping that you could feel his hands slide down your thighs—his fingertips sneaking a little up under your dress.
“Feeeeelllliiiixxxxxx,” you whined again, squirming in his touch. “Don’t tease meeeee.”
Felix laughed and kissed your neck tenderly, sniffing your very fragrant and sweet perfume, immediately recognizing the scent.
“You’re wearing the perfume I bought you,” he said, “Mmm…You smell so sweet with it. Sweet like sugar.”
Felix kissed your neck more, and you melt into his touch, letting his hands wander on your skin and do whatever they pleased. You couldn’t help it yourself when you teasingly rolled your hips back up against Felix’s front, coaxing a deep groan out of him. You giggled, but it was cut off when he gripped your hips tighter and pulled you closer. You hitched a breath, and Felix pinned you against the counter. You were facing the sink, while Felix was behind you, holding all the power of the world in his hands.
“Felix—”
“You look so pretty today, Y/N…” Felix whispered in your ear, his voice so deep and husky. “My sweet girl always looks pretty for me, yes? That cute dress is very tempting.”
Your breath was coming out in small pants, and your face was probably redder than a rose. Felix still held you tight and nibbled on your ear, as he gently rubbed the growing tent in his pants up against your ass. You whined and arched your back against his chest. The butterflies in your stomach were fluttering faster, making all the heat rush and pool down to your core. You were on the verge of dropping your panties right there in the kitchen. However, you remembered that you wanted to go through with the original plan for the date first before doing anything else.
“Felix, wait,” you started.
“What’s wrong?” Felix pulled away slightly and stopped his movements—his hands still on your hips.
You turned around and faced him, wrapping your arms around his neck. You looked deep into his pretty chocolate eyes, and gently ran your fingers through the back of his sandy blonde hair, tugging it a little.
“We have a movie to watch, remember?”
A small smile formed on Felix’s lips, and he leaned in to kiss your plush lips.
“How could I forget?” he asked, “What movie are we watching again?”
Felix stepped away from you to give you space, for you were moving to gather all the good cookies and put them in the cookie jar and throwing away the burnt ones.
“Beauty and the Beast,” you answered, as you grabbed a bag you prepared—full of other movie snacks and drinks—and put the cookie jar in the bag. “They’re showing it at the drive-in theater.”
“Oh, that’s right,” Felix smiled warmly at you, ready to watch his favorite movie with his favorite person.
You left the bag on the kitchen island to grab a small measuring cup, filled it with water, and walked to the living room to finally water the new bouquet of flowers. You grabbed your purse from the couch and then went back to the kitchen to grab the snack bag. You looked up at your boyfriend with fond eyes.
“Ready to go, Hon?” you smiled.
Felix looked at you back with loving eyes, and went in for a sweet kiss on your lips.
“Of course, I am,” he said softly.
With triumph, you excitedly rushed to exit your house and get in the passenger’s seat of Felix’s car. Felix couldn’t help but laugh fondly, loving how excited you are to spend the evening with him. He closed the door behind him, making sure to lock it with the spare key you handed him. Felix then got in the driver's seat of his car and started the engine.
“Is it the same theater we went to last time?” he asked.
“Yep,” you replied.
Felix nodded, and he buckled his belt, as did you. He pulled away from the driveway, and he started the drive to the theater. You laid back in your seat like a passenger princess, and you were beginning to snack on the cookies you made. Felix looked over at you, and he couldn’t help but put his hand on your thigh. You blushed as he squeezed your soft flesh. Drives with him were always like this. The city lights were sparkling and shining so bright, your favorite songs were in the background, and your boyfriend was holding onto you while you looked through your window.
Your stomach growled a bit, and there was some pain too. You remembered that you got so caught up with baking the cookies that you forgot to actually eat something. You reached down to your feet and grabbed the cookie jar from the snack bag and took one cookie. You snacked on the cookie you grabbed, and Felix snuck a glance at you enjoying your little treat. A few minutes later, you both finally arrived at the drive-in theater. Felix parked the car in front of a very large screen, and he turned on the radio for the movie. You then pulled out more snacks for you both to enjoy, along with some soda.
“Tonight’s gonna be fun,” you said as you unbuckled your seatbelt.
Felix also unbuckled his belt, and he didn’t hesitate to wrap his arm around your shoulder.
“Mmhmm….” he agreed, immediately nuzzling into your neck, kissing it softly. Your face glowed pink, and you couldn’t help but squirm from the ticklish feeling. “I love you so much.”
“Love you too, Honey,” you ran your hand through his sandy blonde hair, taking in a moment to feel his softness, but you immediately bursted into laughter when his hand started touching your lower stomach, his fingers dancing. “Felix!! That tickles!!”
“Sorry, Angel Baby, I couldn’t help myself.”
The movie was about to start, and the two of you got even more comfortable in your car seats. You handed Felix a soda bottle, and you grabbed one for yourself. Felix took his bottle and started to sip on it, while you started snacking on the chips.
“Can I have one, Y/N?” he asked.
“Okay,” you nodded.
You handed Felix the cookie jar, and Felix happily grabbed another cookie for himself. He placed a kiss on your temple, inhaling the scent of your lovely floral shampoo. He then opened his mouth wide and took the sweet treat into his mouth. He hummed in satisfaction, falling in love with the warm, sweet, and chocolatey taste all over again.
“Hmmm…what’s the secret ingredient, Pumpkin? How are your cookies better than mine?”
“I used the same recipe, Honey,” you replied.
“My recipe?”
You only nodded, and Felix was shocked by your answer. The same recipe, yet different tastes. Perhaps there really was some magic touch that you had, or maybe the cookies tasted better because it was you who made them.
“You think they’re better?” you asked, your heart fluttering with warm excitement.
“Yes, they’re way better. Even when they’re burnt.”
“Feeellliiiixxxx.”
“It’s true, Honey, it’s true.”
The movie finally began, and you focused your attention on the movie, while Felix had most of his attention on you. He wanted to pay attention to the movie and let you enjoy it yourself, but he just couldn’t help it. He was addicted to you. You were just too good and too sweet to simply ignore. Felix nuzzled his head into your neck once more, inhaling the sweetness of your perfume. God, he loved that scent. It was the scent of flowers and wine. The sweetest you could ever be. But nothing could ever compare to the sweetness of you—sweeter than sugar.

Hey can I please request a Lloyd x reader where she is his ex-wife but he wants her back? Maybe they have a child together (they're the only people who he is really sweet and soft with, he lights up when he sees them) and idk maybe their child wants them together too? He's trying to find excuses to see her or kiss her and he has their child as a support?
Idk whatever you find interesting or have inspo for ❤️
Thank you for this amazing ask. I hope you like it. Warning- Little angst and fluff.
Your hands tremble slightly as you pack your son's backpack for his weekend with Lloyd. It’s a routine exchange, one you've done countless times since the divorce, but the familiar ache always lingers.
Sharing custody of Victor is always a bittersweet affair. Every time you see him, the resemblance to his father becomes more and more apparent. His bright eyes and mischievous smile are like a living reminder of what you once had together. Yet, despite the pang in your heart, you push your feelings aside, knowing that this arrangement is for the best.
The doorbell rings, and you exhale deeply before opening it.
Lloyd stands before you, immaculate in his polo shirt and with that same cocky smirk you've come to know all too well. Despite your best efforts, your pulse quickens at the sight of him, a reaction you've tried to suppress but have never been able to completely control.
Damn that moustache! Always been your weakness.
You fix your expression, forcing a neutral smile as you step aside to let him in. You're used to this routine by now, but the sight of him still dredges up a mix of emotions you'd rather keep bottled up.
“Ready for our little guy?” he asks, his voice annoyingly smooth, like melted chocolate. Victor bolts past you, yelling, “Daddy!” as Lloyd scoops him up effortlessly, peppering his son's face with exaggerated kisses that make the boy squeal with laughter.
When your son was born, Lloyd had named him Victor, saying he's his biggest victory in life.
You force a polite smile, ignoring the way Lloyd's eyes flick to yours, softening. He always looks at you like that, like you're still the most important thing in his world, even after everything.
After Sierra Six.
The memory burns like acid. Sierra Six had been your breaking point. Lloyd's obsession with catching the rogue operative consumed him, pulling him deeper into his dangerous world and further away from you. You had begged him to walk away, to prioritize his family, but he couldn’t let it go.
“You don't understand, Sugar!” he'd said during one of your final arguments, his voice sharp but his eyes pleading. “This isn't just a mission. It's personal.”
It became personal for you too, when Six's retaliation nearly cost you and Victor your lives. A car bomb meant for Lloyd had detonated outside your home, leaving shards of glass and smoke as a grim reminder of the risk you couldn’t live with anymore. You’d left that night, taking Victor with you, and filed for divorce shortly after.
“Thanks for packing his stuff…” Lloyd says now, breaking you out of your thoughts. He hesitates, then adds, “You could come with us, you know? We're just going to the park.”
“That’s your time with him…” you reply, keeping your tone neutral.
Victor tugs at your sleeve. “But, Mommy, you should come! Daddy says he misses you.”
Your breath catches, and Lloyd clears his throat, awkwardly running a hand through his perfectly styled hair. “Victor, buddy, why don't you go grab your soccer ball from the car?”
Once Victor bounds away, Lloyd steps closer. “He’s not wrong…” he says softly, his gaze holding yours.
“Lloyd…” You start to protest, but he cuts you off.
“I know I screwed up. I know I didn’t protect you the way I should have, but I’m trying, Sugar. I’m trying to fix things. For you. For Victor. For us.”
You cross your arms, a shield against the vulnerability in his voice. “You can’t just say these things and expect everything to magically go back to how it was.”
“Then let me show you...” he says, taking another step closer. His hand brushes yours, testing waters. “Let me prove it to you.”
Before you can respond, Victor runs back, his soccer ball in hand. “I got it! Mommy, are you coming with us?”
Lloyd kneels down, pulling Victor into a side hug. “Tell you what, buddy. Why don’t we see if we can convince Mommy to join us next time, huh?”
Victor pouts dramatically, his big eyes, the same shade of blue as his father’s turns on you, “Please, Mommy? Daddy says families should stick together.”
Your heart squeezes at the sight of them, your two boys. Lloyd stands, his eyes never leaving yours, and he leans down just slightly, so close you can feel the warmth of his breath.
“Think about it…” he murmurs, before pressing a soft kiss to your cheek. It lingers, a promise in its tenderness, and leaves you standing there, your resolve crumbling ever so slightly.
As they walk away, Victor waves enthusiastically, and Lloyd throws you a smile over his shoulder. It’s cocky and hopeful all at once, like he knows the kiss wasn’t just for show.
Maybe, just maybe, he’ll find a way to win you back.
The weekend passes slowly without Victor. You spend the quiet hours tidying up, trying to distract yourself from the lingering thoughts of Lloyd’s kiss and the words he left unspoken. But no matter how hard you try, you can’t stop replaying his plea, “Let me prove it to you.”
On Sunday evening, Lloyd drops Victor off as planned. Your son runs inside, chattering about their adventures at the park, the ice cream truck they chased down, and how Daddy let him drive his tiny remote-controlled car.
Lloyd lingers at the door.
“Can I come in for a minute?” he asks. His tone is careful, cautious, as though he’s testing the waters.
You hesitate, but something about the vulnerability in his expression makes you step aside. “Just for a minute…” you say.
Victor is already in the living room, playing with his toys, oblivious to the quiet tension between you and his father.
Lloyd takes a deep breath, his hands stuffed into his pockets. “I’ve been thinking about what you said the other day. About things not magically going back to how they were.” He pauses, his gaze locking onto yours. “You’re right. They won’t. And they shouldn’t. Because I want things to be better than they were before.”
You swallow hard, your heart beating faster, “Lloyd, I…”
“Let me finish, Sugar.” His voice softens, and he steps closer, closing the distance between you. “I’m not asking you to forgive me overnight. I’m not asking you to forget what I did or the pain I caused. I just… I’m asking for a chance to show you that I’ve changed. That I’m trying to be the man you and Victor deserve.”
Tears prick at the corners of your eyes, but you hold them back. “You think one kiss and a few sweet words will fix everything?”
“No!” he says firmly. “But I think being here, every day, showing you how much I care… that might. I’m not giving up on us, Sugar. Not now, not ever.”
Before you can respond, Victor runs up to the two of you, holding a drawing in his little hands. “Look! I made this at Daddy’s house!”
The picture is messy but a clear stick-figure family of three, all holding hands. Above it, in Victor’s uneven handwriting, are the words, “My family.”
Your chest tightens, and you glance at Lloyd, whose eyes are filled with unshed tears. He kneels down to Victor’s level, gently ruffling his hair. “That’s a beautiful drawing, buddy.”
Victor grins and turns to you. “Mommy, don’t you think we should be a family again? Daddy’s been so sad without you.”
You look down at your son, then at Lloyd, who is watching you with a mixture of hope and fear.
“I don’t know, Victor,” you say softly. “It’s… complicated.”
“But you love Daddy, right?” Victor asks innocently, his big blue eyes staring up at you.
You hesitate, the truth sitting heavy on your tongue. “Yes…” you finally admit. “I do.”
Lloyd stands, his expression unreadable. “Sugar, I know I’ve made mistakes. And I’ll spend the rest of my life making up for them if you’ll let me.”
Victor tugs on your hand, his face lighting up with excitement. “Please, Mommy? Let Daddy stay.”
The weight of the moment presses down on you. Slowly, you nod, your voice barely above a whisper. “Okay. Let’s see where this goes.”
Lloyd’s eyes widen in surprise, and then a rare, genuine smile spreads across his face. “You mean it?”
“Yes,” you say, a small smile tugging at your lips. “But you’re on thin ice, Hansen.”
He chuckles, his confidence returning. “I wouldn’t have it any other way, Sugar.”
Victor cheers, throwing his arms around both of you, and for the first time in a long time, you feel a flicker of hope.
Maybe, just maybe, you can be a family again.
The days that follow are a whirlwind of emotions. Lloyd takes your cautious ‘okay’ as a challenge to prove himself, and he doesn’t waste any time.
He starts small, picking Victor up from school, helping him with homework, and showing up at your door with dinner. Each time he’s around, you find yourself torn between wanting to push him away and feeling your walls crumble a little more.
One evening, as you’re washing dishes, Lloyd appears beside you, drying a plate you hadn’t asked him to touch. “You know,” he says, his voice low and teasing, “we make a pretty good team.”
“Lloyd, I don’t need your help.” you say, trying to focus on the sink.
He leans in closer, his breath warm against your cheek. “You might not need it, but I like being here. With you.”
Your face heats up, and you elbow him gently. “Back off, Hansen.”
But instead of retreating, he grins and presses a kiss to your temple, quick and soft. You whirl on him, glaring. “What do you think you’re doing?”
“Testing my limits,” he replies smugly, holding up his hands as if in surrender. “You’re adorable when you’re mad.”
You roll your eyes, but the blush on your cheeks betrays you. He notices, of course, and his grin only grows wider.
Lloyd’s efforts intensifies over the period.
Over the next few weeks, Lloyd becomes a constant presence in your life. He shows up unannounced with groceries, fixes the broken cabinet in your kitchen, and even surprises Victor with a mini soccer goal for the backyard.
One afternoon, while Victor is napping, you find yourself sitting on the porch with Lloyd. He’s unusually quiet, his gaze fixed on the horizon.
“Why are you doing all this?” you ask, breaking the silence.
He looks at you, his expression sincere. “Because I lost you once, Sugar. And I’m not making that mistake again. You and Victor… you’re everything to me.”
The raw honesty in his voice leaves you speechless. Before you can think of a response, he leans in, brushing his lips against yours. It’s soft, tentative, as if he’s giving you a chance to pull away. But you don’t.
When he deepens the kiss, his hand rests gently on your cheek, you lose yourself for a moment, the familiar warmth of him overwhelming your senses.
When you finally pull back, your heart is racing. “You’re impossible…” you mutter, your cheeks burning.
“And you’re beautiful,” he replies, his lips quirking into a lopsided smile.
Despite your reluctance to admit it, Lloyd’s persistence begins to wear down your defenses. He’s patient with Victor, kind to you, and relentless in his mission to win you back.
One night, as you’re tucking Victor into bed, he grabs your hand. “Mommy, do you still love Daddy?”
Caught off guard, you glance at Lloyd, who’s standing in the doorway, watching you with an unreadable expression.
“I…” you start, unsure of how to answer.
“I know you do,” Victor says confidently. “Because you smile more when he’s here.”
Lloyd chuckles softly, stepping into the room. “Our kid is a great observer, you can’t hide anything from him.” he teases.
“Go to sleep, Victor…” you say quickly, pressing a kiss to your son’s forehead before retreating to the living room.
Lloyd follows you, closing the door behind him. “He’s not wrong, you know,” he says quietly.
You sigh, turning to face him. “Lloyd, this isn’t easy for me. You broke my trust…”
“And I’ll spend the rest of my life earning it back!” he interrupts, stepping closer. “You’re the only woman I’ve ever loved, and I’ll fight for you every day if that’s what it takes.”
Tears well up in your eyes as you finally let the weight of his words sink in. “I’m scared…” you admit, your voice barely above a whisper.
“I know,” he whispers, cupping your face in his hands. “But I’m here, Sugar. I’m not going anywhere.”
The next morning, you wake up to the smell of pancakes. Victor’s laughter echoes from the kitchen, and when you walk in, you see Lloyd standing at the stove, flipping pancakes like he’s been doing it for years.
“Morning, Sugar,” he says, flashing you a boyish grin. “Thought I’d make breakfast for my family.”
You shake your head, but there’s no hiding the smile on your face.
Later that day, as the three of you play soccer in the backyard, Victor pauses and looks up at you. “Does this mean Daddy’s staying forever?”
You glance at Lloyd, who’s watching you with hopeful eyes. Slowly, you nod. “Yeah, buddy... I think it does.”
Victor cheers, throwing his arms around both of you. Lloyd pulls you close, pressing a kiss to your hair.
“I love you…” he murmurs, his voice thick with emotion.
And for the first time in a long time, you let yourself believe that maybe, just maybe, you could have your happy ending after all.

Hello amazing fandom and happy Wednesday :) Episode 3 off we go! So grateful to have my happy place back. To be able to do these first impressions. I love not knowing a single thing about this season really. Rachel being in the recap blew my mind. Like what?! Love the shock. Had zero clue she would be here this season. Let us get started.
7x03 Out of Pocket
We hit the ground running in this ep. Grey yelling at them to come to his office in front of the entire bullpen.... Lucy calling him the troublemaker we all know he is this year. heh Also he is one perpetually now thanks to you my dear. Brought out his playful side long ago. It’s been here to stay ever since. Love Tim replying it’s a fair assumption. Not fighting her on this even a little bit. It's fantastic.
Will say I love how Tim naturally jumps on the grenade for her. Old habits die hard. Or never die at all…Lucy isn’t here for it though. Still a little bristly (rightfully so.) Also I'm sure she thinks it isn't a good look that he does. Commenting she doesn’t need him to protect her. Grey is bemused by them and their flirty fight, but does have to rein them in because of course he does. LOL You can tell he’s happy they’re acting this way even if it's driving him nuts.
Tim jumps into apology mode. Not wanting to ruffle her feathers. It truly is a hair trigger response from him to shield her. He can't help it. Like breathing for him. Grey basically calling them out for their work flirt. ‘A weird itch they need to scratch’ heh I mean it is. Their version of foreplay let's be honest. Lucy seems quite embarrassed he has pointed this out.
Tim on the other hand....He is cheeky af in this dressing down of their's. ‘We didn’t put any money on it.’ With a big ole smirk on his face haha Oh my lord. No shame in the game for him. Who are you and what have you done with Tim Bradford?
Lucy is taking it seriously af. Where this goob to her left is cracking jokes and what not. Her face kills me. Like what are you doing? Do love seeing him be lighter and not so serious about everything. It’s delightful. Therapy is doing him wonders truly. Now Lucy isn’t as airy as he is but that’s ok ha
Tim you so cute apologizing and saying why he tried to protect her. Needing to defend why he did as such. That, if they were going to go down, should be him, since it was his idea after all. Lucy is much kinder outside of Grey’s office though. Saying she said yes to the whole thing. So it's just as much on her as it is him.
Do adore her jumping right back into it with wanting to finish this out. That they still have time. This way they can check each others methods. Lucy continuing the work flirt of their's. I am down. The smiles on these goobers I cannot. Lucy’s face when he walks away. My goodness you still love that man. *happy sigh * I love these idiots.
Rachel out of nowhere. Oh my lord. Do love these recalls to previous season's we're getting this year I have to say. Characters and all. Seems like they’ve kept in touch. First thing I thought was wondering about that. I had questions running through my head at her return. Like she must know Lucy dated Tim? Does she know how madly in love she was with him? (and still is...)
Sucks N.Y. chewed her up and spit her back out. Man it’s a trip to see her. From another life. Truly. S2 feels like it was eons ago. They were much different people back then. When Rachel said she hadn't contacted Lucy in 6 months....Knew that meant she didn't know of the emotional horror our girl went through.
Thus begins the digging up of wounds that have yet to heal. Detective exam and Tim..... Oooh boy. The two pillars that nearly broke her. Kinda glad for her asking about it in a way. I wanna see where Lucy truly is emotionally right now. Been having a feeling it's not great under the surface.
The fact Lucy is now trauma dumping shows she isn’t ok. Which of course she isn’t. She had a trio of trauma last season. Between detective, Tim and Tamara. The way Lucy says Tim broke up with her…. Ugh my heart. A wound that hasn’t healed for this fandom either. It's not going till until this is hashed out and reconciled.
‘Screw him. He’s an idiot right?’ *sigh* I mean a good response for Rachel though. It's what you say to a friend going through that. ‘It’s all for the best…’ Is it though? Oh my girl still wanna hug you and make you better. That has not gone away since 6x07.
Tim comes up not expecting his past to be standing there. He pulls out the Sanford Smile we haven't seen in awhile lol The one where he's clearly uncomfortable and his smile isn't reaching his eyes. You can tell he is confused and slightly unsettled. I mean they didn't end on the best terms after she started her life in N.Y. Now here she is in the station next to his girl. What a trip for him.
‘She ghosted me.' 'Yeah that’s her thing…’ We never did see what happened there. She was all in for long distance then she was gone just like that. Tim did a good job pretending he was happy to see her. The Oscar goes to you my love.
Poor Ridley is shaking in his boots. On edge waiting for a 'Tim test.' But he was prepped by Lucy in a way Tim wasn't expecting. Seth has his 'I’ve been shot answer.' right away. Too quickly really. Tim is sus af. Grilling him if Lucy warned him? It does explain why he was looking out the windshield as they were driving LOL Tim asking what else she told him?
Oh my word she recited chunks of her trauma training to Seth. Majority of her s1 ones at that. Except for the flour bomb. I’m dying. These call backs to s1-s2 are making me giddy to no end I have to say. She really dug in their archive to tell him about Wrigley. I'm laughing so hard. Tim is shaking his head so hard and I’m cackling. Playing dirty Lucy….’Ok I just have to get more inventive.’ He is not pleased LMAO Legit undermined him.
Texas instantly putting his foot in his mouth with Lucy. I was wondering if he thought be easier with Lucy. Or he thought he could charm his way into her being lenient. But he has never met Lucy Chen....Learns quickly how much that was not going to fly with her. I love Lucy putting him in his place immediately about 'darlin.’ That isn't going to stand for even a second with her. She makes sure he knows that.
The banter is PRIMO when Tim arrives. We get to see protective Tim arrive on scene again with Miles. I love it. Lucy doesn’t stop him this time. Knowing Texas needs it from both barrels if it's going to stick with him. But mainly I just love Tim immediately not having it with that shit for her. Any bravado remaining is squashed by Tim calling Penn 'Darlin' hehe
This is a mini moment that made very happy. You defend her Tim! Immediately protected his girl from Grey’s clutches about the rookies not listening. Gimme. I'll take this all damn day. That innate reaction to protect her is deeply ingrained in this man. I love it so much I could cry. Lucy once again not stopping him. Appreciative he has her back in this moment. The little things is how we inch our way back.
Poor Lucy so worried this will be another black mark against her career. Regardless of who won this is a loss for them. Adore Tim being positive with her. Saying as long as they don’t fire them, they have a chance to turn them around. Make them into good cops if given that chance. Love this. Look at Tim being the positive one. Only for his girl. Lucy looking to him for answers makes me happy. Asking what their chances really are? ‘Slim to none….’ Heh helpful babe real helpful.
It is nice to see Lucy catch up with Rachel. This is an ally we forgot she had. One that was far away in N.Y. So it's nice they get to reconnect. Not only that but be very mature about it. Especially about Tim. Celina getting a history lesson on the side is a hilarious bonus. lmao Frigging adored Rachel's 'Well yeah.' Like of course we would be friends still. Emotional maturity. Love to see it.
I love love love Rachel seeing Tim and Lucy were the better match. Rather than her and Tim. Doesn't even hesitate to bring that up in their convo. I said it many times in my s2 reviews. Forever grateful for the path she set Tim on. She was his first post divorce relationship. A Lucy 2.0 to get him ready for his soulmate.
Rachel is the fandom when she makes her comment about their break up. Trust me Rachel none of us expected the emotional devastation that was last year….it’s been 9 months and I’m still not over it tbh. Idk I'll be over it until they have reconciled. It's the gut punch none of us have really recovered from.
Lucy just breaking my heart all over again. Saying she made all these moves for them to be together. Only for it to blow up in her face. *sad sigh* You sure did.... Our boy has A LOT to make up for. That it taught her to just focus on her career. I mean I truly hoping that is the case this season for her. That we can some true clarity for her career. Nothing I want more (other than a reunion.) ‘No more messy station romances.' Sure sure mmhmm....
Those boys are LUCKY. They are trending online in a positive way or their asses would be grass. The defiance cannot be overlooked. I love Tim/Lucy standing next to each other as they back Grey. The little things I love so much. Forever in awe of insane amount of physical chemistry they have just standing next to one another.
The lack of personal space never a thing with them. It makes me happy to see it. Post 6x06 the physical distance could be FELT between them in every scene till 6x09. Felt like the Grand Canyon for awhile. So this is so nice to behold. Once again the little things that make me so happy. We're on the slow road to healing.
I wanna get into this scene and what it represents to me. I did always wonder what happened between them. After 2x20 she just fell off never to be heard from again. So this was nice to get. Tim can claim he didn't need closure but he did. This scene is an olive branch from Rachel to Tim. Just like when Isabel came back in 5x20. The return meant to be a healing one. Nothing more. Took guts for her to do this. If she wants back in Lucy's life Tim comes with that. Breakup or not. She knows this. Best to smooth this over before she can rebuild her life.
Do I find Rachel a threat? No. No I don't. Why you ask? Because this isn't 13th grade. These are grown ass adults. This isn't a H.S. or Teen drama. Just because she came back doesn't mean trouble for Chenford. Hell the woman even said Lucy was the better fit for him. One of the biggest complaints I saw last season was Lucy's support system. Someone who was in it has returned. This is a wonderful thing for Lucy. A win she so deserves. I just wanted to be the voice of reason in case anyone the fandom was worried with this scene.
That man could not be more in love with Lucy Chen if he tried. And vice versa. He is kind and courteous with Rachel. To me, mainly because post-therapy, Tim can see when someone is trying to make amends. Hell it's what he's trying to achieve everyday with Lucy. Also like to note it's not his mega watt Lucy smile. That is reserved only for his girl. But it is a 'second chance' smile. Like Lucy stated earlier in the ep. A second chance is a clean slate. This is just that if she is going to be in Lucy's life again. I'll be intrigued if she makes another appearance or not. We shall see. Every ep we are one step closer to them healing some more. I cannot wait to see what 7x04 brings.
As always. Thank you to the amazing readers I have. Your likes, comments and reblogs mean everything to me. Truly comment away I love it. As long as its respectful I adore chatting about this season as we go along. Shall see you all next week :)

Side notes
Tim being the cold open. And breaking through Nolan's security system. I cackled so hard. Then is a sexy beast leaning against his bookcase. Pops a soda. Never wanted to be a can so much before.... ‘That’ll owe you two more Lakers tickets.’ LOL I love this man.
Poor Wes is gonna implode. Every time he hears that detectives name he shudders. Losing it a little more each time.
With the ladies saying let nature take its course with Jason. HA I'm with them. But of course Nolan being a boring boy scout won’t do it that way.
Anyone else think it’s weird Nolan doesn’t wear his wedding ring? I would hate if Tim didn’t wear his after their wedding.
Also going without backup after this guy. Like this man hasn’t learned at all from his mistakes. Do you not remember s2 you dope? Balian's reunion was as lackluster as they are. Welcome back Bailey. I did not miss you madam sorry ha

okay I rewatched greys anatomy and had an idea for a cute little one shot maybe for different kinds of firsts? I think it would be set very early into their relationship, Ace still tries to settle in at the bau and it starts to snow. She gets all excited and maybe a little emotional about it, given that she was in war zones the last few years and missed the snow.
Inspired by Lexies scene in s5 e1: “the snow! It’s so pretty, it’s like a fairytale.”
I don’t see Ace getting that emotional or openly soft but maybe a little?
First Snow
It’s cliched to say you can smell it in the air, but it feels that way. You watch the weather app like a hawk, repeatedly refreshing it to make sure you’re getting the most up-to-date information. Emily brings you a fresh cup of coffee, complete with a smile. She sits on the edge of your desk, her black heeled boots knocking your filing cabinet slightly. “What are you looking at on your phone every ten minutes?”
“It’s supposed to snow,” you answer offhandedly, splitting your focus between the file and the weather app.
Emily nods, tracing the lip of her mug. She’s trying to figure you out, learn something new about you. It’s not a bad thing. You’re just not used to people being interested in getting to know you. History tells you to keep all personal information close to the chest. “You like snow?”
“Not really. Sort of.”
She tries again, twisting your chair with her foot. “You’re checking the weather with that kind of frequency because you don’t really like snow?” You frown at her, unsure of what to say. Her head tilts to the left, a curious and encouraging look on her face. “Is the bullpen not the place for this conversation?”
“No, it’s not that. It’s just snow.”
“Do you want to go walk outside?”
“It’s the middle of the work day, Em.”
Her smile is so kind like she’s guiding you through something with the patience of a saint. “This isn’t a prison. You can take a break and go walk outside. C’mon. Get your coat.” You’re hesitant. It seems like a silly reason to leave your case files unattended. “It’s okay. C’mon. I’ll go with you.”
When you’re bundled up in your coat and gloves, you follow Emily through the elevator bank and out the lobby. Away from the bureau building even slightly, Emily slips her hand in yours. “So snow,” she prompts.
“I was deployed the last few winters. Not a lot of snow in the Middle East,” you explain quietly, your gaze stuck on the cracks in the sidewalk as you walk side by side with your girlfriend. That’s still a fairly new word. You’re not used to it yet. You feel like you’re constantly making stupid mistakes and needing to be taught the ropes of being a civilian, being in a relationship, having sex, all sorts of things. Snow seems like a very easy thing to share, and you fight your instinct to keep it closed away. “I don’t really like the cold or the snow. I can’t do the activities I like the way I like them when it snows, but I missed the snow the last few years I guess.”
Emily squeezes your hand in a wordless thank you for letting her in even a little bit. “I get it. The holidays we spent in Middle Eastern embassies always felt more sterile.” You pause, looking up at the sky. You can feel it. It’s in the air. “Tonight or tomorrow night, when it’s had time to accumulate, you and me, we’ll get some hot chocolate and go walk in the fresh snow.”
You can’t help the smile that splits across your face. Emily tugs you off the main sidewalk into a slight enclave. Her leather glove is worn and smooth against your cheek. “Yeah, that sounds nice.”
“Maybe if I kiss you in the snow, I can change your opinion about it. It can be wonderful, beautiful. Just like you.” Your teeth pierce your bottom lip, as the embarrassment of the compliment drapes over you like a blanket. It warms your cheeks and the tips of your ears with a deep red. “What?” Emily nudges your nose with hers. “Blushing because your girlfriend thinks you’re pretty?”
“Em,” you exhale nervously. “We should… we should get back to work.”
“Okay, my love.”
“Can I ask you something?”
“Anything.” You fidget with the buttons on your jacket instead of looking at her. You want to know why Emily calls you that. You found the nerve to ask JJ about the pet name she uses for you back when you were just sleeping with them. “It’s okay,” Emily encourages. “I’ll do my best to answer honestly. If not, I’ll tell you why I can’t.”
“Why do you call me that? Love? Or my love? JJ started calling me ‘baby’ the first time I slept with you. She said it just slipped out.”
“Two questions,” Emily starts. “Do you want me to stop? Do you remember the first time I called you love?”
“No and yes.”
“You do?” Emily is surprised by that. It was a kindness and a familiarity you didn’t expect. It took you by surprise then, but you were focused on more body related things. You wouldn’t have brought it up then either, too afraid to rock the boat. “When did I say it? I honestly don’t remember.”
“You invited me over after I pulled the muscle in my back. You told me to use my words and called me love.”
“Wow, so a really specific memory then.” You shrug lopsidedly. “Did it freak you out when I called you that?”
“I mean, no, I guess. I didn’t stop you from saying it, and we still… you know… slept together.”
“Did you want to stop me? Or stop us from having sex?”
“No. I know the difference between pushing slightly outside of my comfort zone in the name of growth and being wholly uncomfortable. I just… I don’t understand why you chose that one. It’s so… personal.”
“I’d say we’re pretty personal, love,” Emily says teasingly with a wink.
“Yeah. But not then.” Her tongue peeks out to lick her lips as she compiles the answer she wants to give. “You said you’d be honest. The real answer, Em. Not the politically correct one you’re working towards.”
One corner of her lip pulls into a surprised smile. “Honestly. Okay. Even then, I could see some of your history on your skin, and I could make my own deductions based on your time with the team. I wanted to give you every bit of love you didn’t have in whatever way you would let me - friendship, team, romance, whatever. It felt right and you didn’t seem to mind, so I let the pet name sink into my language. Do you like the pet name?”
You nod, letting her answer sift through your brain. It’s unusual. It’s not your experience, but you’re slowly recognizing that Emily and JJ aren’t like people in your past. And that’s a very good thing, even if you’re slow to let yourself warm up to it.
“Hey,” Emily murmurs, pulling you to a stop again on the sidewalk. “Look up.”
Your palms flat, you look at the tiny specks of snow landing on your gloves. They won’t stick yet, but they’re here. “It’s snowing,” you sigh contentedly.
“It is,” Emily beams. “You look happy.”
“I do?”
“You’re smiling, love. An honest-to-God smile.”
“I… umm… sorry, it’s probably silly. I guess I just missed the snow more than I thought,” you shrug self-consciously.
“Not silly at all. C’mon. We’ll enjoy it as we walk back to work, and tonight, we’ll go out with our hot chocolate. You can breathe in the fresh snow and the crisp air.”
“And you’ll kiss me in the snow?”
“My love, I’ll kiss you absolutely anywhere.”
As you stop at a traffic light, you watch the way the little snowflakes land in her dark hair. The snow with Emily… it feels kind of like a fairy tale.
