#tbh i've been convinced for a while that their relationship didn't evolve into anything more before hinata came back from brazil #like yeah they're already very obviously into each other #but during high school they're not mature enough for anything more than crushing very hard and volleyballing together #maybe at some point they do kiss and/or fool around at a party #maybe it even becomes habit in their third year #but they're NOT in a relationship. just pining really hard #but after this game???? the tension that's been built for years of competition and absence #the obvious connection they still have #the admiration the respect the attention they pay to each other #all of it is ridiculous #and so after the match they just... meet up outside the stadium go get something to eat and then go home TOGETHER #and it's easy and confortable bc they both know it's been a long time coming #but also it's INTENSE because of the YEARS of PINING and the intensity of the game is still there and yeah #anyway all that to say that when i saw this scene i was like. yes. this is what i was talking about. now go KISS #maybe i'll write a fic about it at some point. who knows. just obsessed with this idea lately #kagehina

Honestly, I think it's hilarious that the Detective Pikachu movie managed to slip in a blatant reference to Dynamaxing with that entire Torterra garden scene and absolutely NOBODY noticed because the movie came out before Sword and Shield did.

First time I watched the movie, I was like "Oh, I wonder what kind of fucked up unethical experiments that lab did on those poor Torterra to make them grow so big. :(" but when I rewatched it during quarantine after I played Sword, it dawned on me that they must have pumped the Torterra full of Dynamax particles.

Like, this movie and SwSh were probably in development around the same time so I bet some writer on the Detective Pikachu team was just sitting there like "Wouldn't it be funny if we had this entire scene with a game mechanic nobody knows about yet, so when people rewatch the movie later, they'll be like "OH YOU MOTHER FUCK-"

the state of italian public discourse today is such that my mother was watching a history documentary about Mussolini on tv and the host said in pretty harsh terms that fascism-era monuments celebrating the regime should not be left standing uncritically and I said “wow I'm surprised that RAI [Italian public tv network] is airing that”

and then I saw which channel she was watching and it was not, in fact, the public tv network. because they would never say that fascism is bad lest some government minister get upset

apparently skz skipped argentina on tour bc the company couldn't settle on a venue.... there's literally more than 15 stadiums in buenos aires alone wdym you couldn't pick one??

#venues was the last thing that we were lacking #prod companies always try to fit big international artists @ river plate. were they afraid they couldn't fill it?#there's smaller venues than river plate #one direction did two (2) velez stadiums back in 2014 and sold out both i'm sure skz could have easily do the same #anyway it's sad but i just knew that no matter how much the fans were trying to trend on twitter it wasn't going to work #maybe for the next one

The ice is already here, with a foot of snow expected in the next 24 hours. I was at an encampment this morning handing out hand warmers and winter gear from a coat drive we did, but a few jackets feel colossally pointless in the face of that much snow and 0 degree temperatures. Those tents were barely standing as is, a foot of snow is going to flatten them. At least they were only a few blocks away from a day shelter that I think got recruited as a warming station; hopefully everyone's gotten a place inside.

#since i just watched the terror I'm reminded of the scene where the woman stands outside in the snow and can only bear it a few minutes #after 45 minutes outside it took over an hour for my toes to get warm #i mean I probably have raynauds but still #the people I met today have 12 days to go before they even see a high above freezing again #if you need to get more radicalized go see how the city allows people to live while begging to spend tax dollars on shiny new stadiums
