Rice , Ben and Kai after the 2nd conceding | Manchester City - Arsenal (A), 22.09.2024 ©️ JASON CAIRNDUFF/REUTERS; James Gill - Danehouse/Getty Images
#a game that we really didn't deserve to lose#11 against 11 we beat them#and even though the second yellow card is a regular warning#they always gave us more precision#but against us they always gave us softer#how things change#today we regret drawing with city in their stadium and playing with one less player#it was admirable that day#how i suffered hahaha i lost 10 years of life in the second half#arsenal fc#24/25

Early reports of Saka’s ability seemed hysterical – was a teenager really capable of taking on the club’s famed number seven shirt? But for Arsenal legend Ian Wright, there was never any doubt. “He was 15,” Wright tells me, “and people were already saying Saka was way too advanced for the team he was playing with. I remember watching him at Hale End, and he went past three players so easily, and the ball came to him a couple of times and he just popped it off, one touch, and moved. He was just doing stuff in that game that a player of 25 years of age would do. I said, ‘He’s going all the way to the top – no danger.’” (Musa Okwonga, GQ Sports)
