An ask! Idk what to talk abt though. How are you? What you want more asks abt? Characters? Life? Some other obscure interest?
(In reference to this I think hehe)
I'm doing well, thank you! I hope the same for you!
As for asks I'd like, I'm up for pretty much anything! If there's something that piques your interest - a take I put out but didn't elaborate on, "Defend that argument!" Lol ♪ I've also had people ask how I do certain things which is always fun to explain :D
Emoji gifts/silly back-and-forths are always fun to doodle to as well! ♫
Or if there's a fandom I haven't posted in a while and you miss it - I have no idea how many fandom transitions people here have hung with! Even if it's been a while, I still love my blorbos hehe ♥
Becoming a psuedo-ask blog with my characters answering directly is still totallly on the table btw :) Something remind you of me/them? Interest!
And while it's not quite Requestober-time-of-year again, next month is the start of when you should be thinking up what you might want 👀
I'd just like to chat! :) Asks are such a casual way of interacting, I like them :D
#Basically you have a lot of options lol#The fun of freeform interaction haha#And if none of these appeal to you but something else does I mean - it acting as a feedback box works just as well for me lol#I'd like to hear from you! Part of the fun of tumblr culture is that we're all weirdos inhabiting the same space#So while yes there are like mutuals and favourite Likers/Rebloggers like - you can just Become that at any point lol#PvP (woe friend be upon ye) enabled >:3c Lol#Anyway do you like my minefield of links haha#A lot of these asks are fond little memory nuggets :D I haven't posted a Scribble in a heck-while - since Spamton I think?#Might be fun to do again :0#He was also the last vector ask-response wasn't he lol Spamton! Get outta there! Haha#But anyway yes - it all comes down to what sounds fun! Does [question] spark joy? Would love to hear it lol#It also helps with worldbuilding/character development if you're interested in my characters so like if you wanted to 👉👈 Lol#A lot of the stuff I used to see back in the day - and even contributed to! :D - was Yes-And-ing whatever the OP was currently working on#Things like ''What if this happened'' or ''What kind of dynamic do these two have'' - those are also popular in things like shipping memes#Most of my ask games are on my reblog-blog but there's no time limit - if you specify which one we can play whenever lol#Free and breezy uwu#Granted my backlog tends to get in my own way a lot lol but! Things like the Addispam kiss ask? (Which I still want to get to hhhh)#They can be fun jumping off points :3c

some etiquette tips for quotev migrants
If you enjoy a post (piece of art, text post, writing, gifset, etc) interact however you would have on quotev!
Reblogging is like reposting an activity, but with a permanent link to op, and you can add your own thoughts in the tags or on the post itself. Very nifty. It's that little 🔄 symbol at the bottom.
Likes are a good short-form validation, and also a way to save posts so you can find them again later.
Comments are good for sharing your thoughts without having the post on your account for whatever reason.
Tags are optional, but useful for both organization and extra commentary that will stay on your blog (unless someone likes your tags. Then they may copy/screenshot and add to the post, or copy them in their own tags.)
if you trigger tag something, don't censor the trigger. That will only make it harder for people who have that tag blocked to avoid it.
"Copying is ok" rules for tags don't apply to art; art is to be reblogged, not copy-pasted, unless given permission from the artist. It's also polite to credit an artist if you use their art for a header/pfp, and/or ask beforehand!
That said, gifs are free game pretty much, since they have built-in credit to whoever uploaded them.
When posting images it's helpful to use the alt text feature to add a description, or add one in the body of the post below or above the picture, since A; it's helpful for those who use screen readers, and B; sometimes pictures don't load and the description is sometimes vital to tell what the heck's going on, screenreader or no.
Ask boxes are for things you don't mind being publicly viewed; messages are for private discussions.
Anonymous asks are optional, meaning some people may have them turned off. Anon hate is unfortunately common and many people opt to avoid it.
Block and report bots on sight. Report for spam/bot violations; even if they're an nsfw bot, reporting for sexual content won't do anything to get rid of them. Bots are pretty recognizable when you know what to look for, as their blog will either be blank/have a insta model pfp and generic URL, or...be full of untagged porn.
Bots come in waves; there'll be a lot at once, then they'll die off to a handful, then eventually come back. It's a neverending battle!
You can block tags to avoid seeing content you don't like. To do this you go into "account" in the settings menu, and type whatever you wanna block in the content filters section.
Turn on timestamps! That way you can know if info is outdated, or just in general have a time frame for when something was made.
Block rather than argue. You'll be happier in the long run. Hell, even if someone just kinda gets on your nerves or yucks your yum, but especially if it's serious, since reporting does next to nothing and arguing just won't change someone who's stuck in their ways, and it's not your job to fix everyone who's wrong. Block their account and if you want, block their name on the filtered content. Chances are they won't even know or care so don't worry that it's rude.
Most of all, have fun!
That's all I can think of for now. My askbox is open if there are any questions!

First of all, thank you for Bring It All Back. Gave me chills. Second, what do you think about the newest chapters? It seems like Izuku took Gran Torino's 'killing to save' ideology to heart. Personally, I gave up somewhere around the Nagant arc.
Belatedly, thank you very much, @kermitthekrog-blog!  I’m glad you enjoyed it, and I’m particularly always happy to hear people say it was chilling, upsetting, enraging, or other such disruptive adjectives.  It’s a rabble-rouser of an art project, to be sure, quite intentionally so.
As to the rest, I’ve made a few posts here and there since I got this ask which probably make my opinions pretty clear, and I’ve got a new ask in the queue which wants to know my thoughts on the epilogue material thus far, so I’ll have more to say there!  But in the meantime, yeah, it’s pretty appalling to think back to all Deku’s talk about “saving” Shigaraki and realize that all of it predates the Gran Torino scene?
Like, he thinks he wants to save Shigaraki when they part ways at the end of the first war arc, sure!  And he tells the vestiges he wants to save Shigaraki!  But does that specific word choice endure once he wakes up?  Well, @codenamesazanka did some hunting recently (you can find two posts about her rereads here and here) and, it turns out, no; it doesn't.
After Deku wakes up and talks to Gran Torino, the focus switches to Deku understanding Shigaraki, choosing not to ignore him, finding out the nature of the Crying Child, all that stuff.  That word completely stops coming out of Deku's mouth, and very shortly after stops coming from any of the OFA vestiges as well.
It really does read, in retrospect, like, yeah, he sincerely took Gran Torino’s words at face value and to heart. “Killing can be a way of saving, so I can save him by killing him.”
Heck, if anything, given how little he focuses after that on saving, it almost feels like that’s the moment he resolves to kill Shigaraki—rather conveniently, it allows him a way to make peace with extrajudicial murder and avenge himself for all the people Shigaraki’s hurt that Deku can’t forgive him for.
The only thing that’s different from just killing him outright is that Deku wants to understand him first, as if he has to verify for himself that Shigaraki is secretly unhappy and why so he can justify that save-by-killing—putting Shigaraki out of whatever misery Deku can make himself believe Shigaraki is in—with a clean conscience.  But he absolutely does not make any further promises about not killing him afterward.
Grim fucking stuff, but it lines up.  One wonders what he would have done if the Shigaraki in the mindscape had changed to Sweet Innocent Tenko and never reverted back to Shigaraki Tomura at any point.  Would Deku have tried not to punch him to death?  Tried to call for Eri or Recovery Girl after AFO’s vestige faded out?  Felt like more of a failure because the “person” VFO devoured would have been that cute kid, meaning Deku failed to save the “child”?
As it is, he mostly just seems vaguely discouraged and unhappy about Shigaraki staying “the leader of the League” until the end—would he have preferred that his hands were ashen and flaking with the powdered remains of the crying child instead?
As to me giving up, the Nagant fight is one of two places I'd put that pin.  I was discouraged by the first war arc, when so many of the advantages Shigaraki had gained over the course of MVA were stripped away from him again.  I was dissatisfied with the second encounter with Muscular, when Deku's "victory" was framed in such a heroic, triumphant light despite being a categorical failure based on the standard Deku seemed to have set for himself.  But Deku’s fight with Lady Nagant was so bad for so many reasons that it served as the first true hammer blow to my belief that Horikoshi would be willing or able to seriously grapple with the societal problems the manga had been building up to at that point.
My patience with the manga, and the enjoyment I derived from it, continued to deteriorate throughout the rest of that arc and the following war arc, but the hospital attack is the other place I would point to as the sequence that completely destroyed my engagement with the series.
Just—the naked contrivances of it, the excruciating treatment of Spinner, the howling tone-deafness, the monumental unfairness of the demands it laid at the feet of its oppressed minority. The series presents a backstory like Shouji’s alongside current story elements like heteromorphs being turned away from shelters in the supposedly accepting and quirk-blind big cities and still somehow comes out valorizing passive endurance so hard it starts to look like willful self-subjugation.
It is the most comprehensively noxious moral in the entire endgame, rivaled only by Deku’s murder of Shigaraki under the guise of “saving” him, and frankly? I would still put that one in second place. At least you can point to Shouto (and possibly Ochaco, though that remains to be seen) as an indication that save-by-killing is not a story-wide moral about villains who have “gone too far.”
Conversely, pretty much everything the hospital attack mini-arc winds up preaching can be read outward onto the rest of the story's antagonists as well, including Lady Nagant. What else to make of her exchange with Hawks The Optimist, after all, than that the conclusion is that she should have just kept murdering whoever the government told her to until some outside player solved her problem for her?
A Hero is someone who is willing to suffer in silence. A Villain, then, must be someone who refuses to.
Truly, the hospital attack is the poisoned well that wipes out the entire village.

hi hi this has to be my favorite one piece writing blog, seriously ur writing makes me so happy 😭🖤
not sure if i can request multiple characters but do you mind if i can get general sfw/nsfw headcanons for jinbe and brook?
sorry i really like weird old men (again love your writing and i hope you have a very nice day!!!!!)
A/n: Aw thank you sweetheart. Please enjoy this~! Also, sorry for not posting for a bit, I’ve been exhausted from work and lost some motivation to write oneshots :( but I just love Brook so much so I had to do this.
Brook + Jinbei General SFW + NSFW HCs
Note: separate relationships, reader is GN, smut headcanons inside. Fluffy mmm.
Word Count: 874
Brook
Brook, ever the performer, loves waking you up or lulling you to sleep with his music. Heck, he’ll even burst out into song throughout the day for you if you wish. He’s your 24/7 skeletal radio.
Sometimes he also does freestyle music and makes up lyrics and beats on the spot about whatever you’re doing or how he feels. They’re usually cheesy and not all that serious, but they never fail to lift your spirits up.
Brook likes to be dramatic in your presence to get some attention from you. Sometimes he’s like a spoiled baby but he can’t help it- you’re too amazing!! And he loves you so much!!
If you’re ever feeling too hot, Brook will always put a hand to your head or elsewhere to help you cool down with his devil fruit powers. He’s your not so little walking ice pack.
Brook, while eccentric, is still an old man at heart so he often likes to treat you and spoil you the old-fashioned way. Kneeling on the main deck as you’re on the top deck while he performs you sweet sonnets and ballads he made just for you. Always wanting to keep an arm around your waist. Walking on the street side of the sidewalk. Buying you flowers at any given moment.
He’s a charming gentleman, and it’s very clear when it comes to you.
That being said, he can still be a pervert and it’s full force for you.
He goes gaga over your body! Literally loses his soul when he even gets a peek of you because ??? Hello??? You’re beautiful??
Beyond just sexually, he adores your body. It’s hard for him to explain the feeling but ever since he’s become just a pile of bones, he’s found a greater appreciation for the human body.
When he’s in bed with you, he wants to explore every inch and crevice of your body. Don’t get shy on him now, it’s not like he even has eyes to stare at you, YOHOHOHO!
Kidding, but really, when you two are getting intimate, he focuses on you and your reactions a great deal. He can’t have sex with you the way a human would, so most of his pleasure is derived from your enjoyment- yeah, he’s still got it.
His phalanges are god tier, argue with the wall!!!
Jinbei
Local dad-friend to the crew, loyal husband to you. You might not even be married but you might as well be, that’s just how sweet he is.
He really likes trying new things with you. Even something as small as a new ice cream flavor makes him happy. It’s rather silly and mundane, but something about doing it with you makes it feel wonderful.
“‘Cereal milk’…? There’s really a flavor for that?!”
And alongside new things, he likes to make traditions for the two of you. He’s a very sentimental man, so it can end up being something like eating that one specific dish you two had on your first date, or having a spot on the ship to sit and cuddle.
Jinbei makes sure you get a healthy amount of fruit in you. He will be casually leaving you a plate of freshly cut fruits and a glass of water beside you. He’s not letting you devoid yourself of essential nutrients and hydration. Will force feed you if necessary.
Okay this is just my headcanon but he’s got old man eyes so if something is in smaller fonts he squints and holds the page up to his face to try and read it. It isn’t until you offer to just read it for him that he FINALLY gives in and has you read it for him.
He’s got a great laugh. A hearty, jovial laugh that anyone in the crew can hear from miles away. Honestly, your jokes might not even be that good, but to him, it’s hilarious. Just being so carefree and funny like this is special to him. Your jokes and funny faces seriously make his day, so please never feel embarrassed to tell him one.
I don’t have a segue for this. He is just a big boy.
And yeah, he knows that he’s huge, which is why he takes extra care to make sure you’re properly stretched and ready to take him.
He never really put too much thought into his body beyond his strength, but he has to admit, he loves when you shower attention and compliment his body. Especially in the bedroom, his face just warms up and he gets a bit prideful. It gets him going knowing his body turns you on so much.
Gentle giant. He’s not going to go feral on you, especially not during the first few times you two lay together. He may consider that sort of thing later, alongside many safety measures.
He does enjoy doggy, but also, he finds it so sexy when you ride him. Forward or reverse, it doesn’t matter. It’s also a pretty good compromise because he can let you set a pace while joining with you to get it “rougher” if you so wish.
Lots and lots of praise from Jinbei, all whispered lovingly into your ear as he’s pounding into you <3

Flashfic Writealong FAQ: Feb 2025 Version
What is this thing?
It’s a writing “challenge” where you write a flash fic, ideally for MacGyver fandom. By “flash fic” I mean something <1000 words, but like most other “rules” of the writealong, it’s not set in stone. Make of it what you will!
Why are we doing this?
Look, back in 2022, I wanted to try my hand at writing some flash-sized fanfics (a big change from my 10k+ normal fic size). So I invited all the MacGyver writers to play along with me. And then we did it again in 2023. It’s like peer pressure, except everybody wins because everybody gets new fics to read. Yay!
How will it work?
There will be 10 prompts over 3 weekends starting February 20, 2025. Most prompts will be posted 2 days before the target posting date. The idea is to write a tiny story quickly, without overcomplicating it. (Overcomplication, my beloved...!)
What if I miss the target date? Can I post it later?
Heck yeah!
Is this a whump challenge thing?
No, write whatever you want. Variety is the spice of life and one of my favorite things about this fandom. ❤️ I’ll write h/c but everybody is welcome to play along. Ship all your ships. Smut it up if you wanna. Just tag your stuff appropriately. **
** Shippers, please use the longstanding ship tags for your ship so your stories can be found/avoided by the people who want to find/avoid them:
MacRiley
MacDalton
MacDoc
MacDesi
What about AI-generated or assisted fic?
This challenge has ONE hard and fast rule: absolutely NO AI generated or AI assisted fic. Write it yourself or don’t participate.
I wrote a thing! When do I post it?
Any time on or after the day the prompts were for. For example, if you wrote a story using the June 10 prompts, post it on June 10 (your local time) or whenever you have it ready after that.
Where should it be posted?
Tumblr or AO3 ideally. But do whatever you want with your fic! This is supposed to be fun. And maybe less stressful than other challenges? Or more, you decide.
Is there an AO3 collection?
The collection will open on Feb 20 and will be titled February 2025 MacGyver Flashfic Writealong. Please add your story! :)
What about Tumblr tags?
Event tag: #MacGyver Flashfic Writealong
Day tag: #june 10  (for the day the prompts were “for”, regardless of when you post ‘em)
What are the prompts?
The prompts will be set to post at 9am PT PT (UTC-7) 2 days before the day they’re for. For example, the prompts for June 22 will be set to post at 9am PT on June 20. There are also a few alternate prompts in case the day’s prompts aren’t inspiring you.
Prompts list: TBD
How do I participate?
Write a thing related to the prompts and post it. :) Tag this blog if you want it reblogged.
Who’s running this thing?
It’s meeee, @rosieblogstuff. 👋

It's the Most Scrungly Time of the Year ~~~!
For Christmas this year (or just for fun if you don't celebrate!), I wanted to show my appreciation for some sonky tumblr people that make my time here extra great. Whether you follow me, leave nice comments, make inspirational art/stories, or just show up in my notes a lot, I appreciate y'all. <3 There are TONS more that I wish I could have done something for, but I just didn't have the energy to hit everyone. ;o; I ran out of steam making digital pieces for everyone, too, as you can plainly see. 8D;;;
What the heck are these weird worm things, though? They're SCRUNGLEPAWS! Well, sort of. They're a species of mine called gherls- basically just funky little floaty guys. I really like designing characters, so I made y'all a bunch of scrunglies based on your avatars (and/or sonas, themes, vibes, ect). You're free to use the gherl I made for you in whatever way you like without worrying about species lore or anything like that. I mostly just wanted to make something universal for a large group of people and thought it would be a nice gesture. At least know that I thought of you and appreciate you! I hope they're not too out of left field and goofy! owo;;;;
I'll be making individual posts for each person with additional gift art (these are just the most polished/my faves of the batch!) on my main as not to flood this blog with 20+ gherl posts. xD I'll use this as a masterpost to link to all of those as I make them. I also made a post about what little "lore" their is to gherls just in case someone is into that. But again, you totally don't have to worry about that stuff; it's just for fun.

I am done with this show.
I came into season 2 with hope and excitement. Season 1 ended so shockingly, and I was curious how it would play out in the next season with all these complex characters. Would Rhaenyra finally become the book Rhaenyra who fought her brother and kin for the throne? Would Aegon finally embrace his role as king? Would Aemond work with his brother to plot and defeat the blacks?
It is safe to say I was disappointed. As the show progressed, I felt my enthusiasm falter and destroy. From the top of my head, I can only remember episodes 2 and 7 living up to their expectations. Why is this? If they couldn't make a book-accurate show, they should never have thought to make one in the first place.
They've omitted characters (nettles) and ruined others. Somehow sheepstealer is in the vale?
Tumblr media
The above picture is from Martin's blog posted this month. It is obvious that the writers think that they can do whatever they want.
Rhaenyra who was supposed to be ready for war, is suddenly against war again. Alicent, who wanted her son on the throne and hated Rhaenyra, is suddenly yearning for her. Daemon is in his "haunting of Harrenhal" era. Criston Cole, who was named Kingmaker is such a useless shit in the show. He sits around, has s*x with alicent and then sulks.
I will not say that they butchered everyone. Aemond and Aegon's writing was done nicely. Leaving the rook's rest part. That didn't make sense in many ways.
This show has just become men bad, women good. It is obvious. Aemond, Aegon, Cole, Daemon, heck- even Jace; they're all portrayed as insecure, abusive and bad.
It was jace who came up with the idea to get Targaryen bastards to claim Dragons but they made him insecure and gave his plot to Mysaria. Oh and talking about Mysaria... She was talking about her abusive father and how he r*****d her and Rhaenyra became horny and kissed her? That scene was actually suggested by Emma Darcy, Rhaenyra's actor and it shows. But the fact that the writers actually allowed it shows their naivety.
Criston was a GOATed character in the book, he was a father figure to Aegon and Aemond but he acts and looks younger than them.
Daemon is in his haunted movies era. After laena showing up in s2, I predicted we'd get Viserys all rotten up and we did.
The set is amazing, the dragons are amazing, the characters are supposed to be amazing and so is the writing, but it is not. Season 8's cinematography, music, set, everything was groundbreaking but its writing was bad. This is exactly the same.
From what I've seen so far, episodes 2 and 7 were amazing, I can't lie, episodes 1, 3 and 4 were on the average side. For episode 4, many might criticise me because it was rook's rest, but this was a huge battle that shook the ground. It was downplayed to what? 10-15 minutes? As for episodes 5 and 6, I don't even remember what happened in them, because there was nothing to remember.
Episode 7 was good indeed. I thought they finally redeemed themselves. Until episode 8 leaked. Indeed. Last time, about 2-3 episodes leaked and this time was no different. The finale leaked.
While I will not talk about it until Monday, I will say this: I, who watched season 8 twice, who is a huge a song of ice and fire fan, will most probably not watch this show from now onward.

INTRODUCTION
Hmm, where do I start?
Okay, ever since the pilot trailer for kidnap was released, I have been really excited for this series. Most of the excitement was from seeing Ohm in a bl again but I really liked the plot too. So, I have been following ohmleng and their events from then. When the official trailer was released, I was way too excited. I still remember rewatching it so many times. Ahh, good times. Anyways I think that was in august and the series started airing in september. This is one of the few series that I have followed from the very beginning and I don't think I'll be dropping it either. This series has really become such an important part of my routine. I never really expected it be that significant to me. I look forward to the new episode every week. They really put a huge smile on my face every Friday after a very tiring week. I also wasn't expecting to get so connected to the characters. But man am I gonna miss them when the series ends. I'm starting this after ep 10, but I really felt like I need to keep my thoughts somewhere. I have some great memories with these characters that I want to cherish. So, that is the background to why I'm writing this blog. I will be writing it episode wise. This is mostly for myself and my memories.
Also, I really want to read the novel. Considering the fact that MinQ are peak romance-novel coded, I think the novel would be good. It also gives more insight on the inner thoughts of the characters from what I've seen on X. So, I NEED that english translation.
Another thing about this series is the amount of tropes they have included. Love at first sight, slight enemies to lovers, sick family member, sleepwalking, trauma, ptsd, towel bath, breakup, and what not at this point. But the main thing is it doesn't feel too forced. You can go with the flow without it being disrupted by the tropes.
I'm just rambling at this point but whatever.
Most of the complaints I have seen about this series is how its not more action based and more rom-com-ish. Honestly, I always felt like it was a love story with an action subplot. Atleast that's what I gathered from the trailer. But again, I am someone who prefers rom-coms with some sappy romance, family drama and stuff like that, so I am enjoying the heck out of this show.
Anways, I'll continue the rest in the episode posts.

quick question, if I may: what model of noise-canceling headphones do you have, and would you recommend them to others for sensory issues? I've been meaning to get a pair of them myself for a while now but I keep getting overwhelmed by the process of finding and deciding on a specific pair
(apologies if you've answered this before; while I did search your blog before sending this in and it only returned the post from today, I'm also under no illusions about how functional of a website this is)
I got a pair of over-the-ear Bose QuietComfort 45 wireless headphones on sale last year. They were the same ones my neuro-ophthalmologist recommended and uses in his office.
They are very spendy (at least for me), and I was glad I got them on sale.
That said, I would probably buy them again at full price if I had to just because they've made such a difference to my overall stress levels, not to mention whatever the heck is going on with my inner ear.
They hold a charge really well, they fit my small head without being too heavy with plenty of room to expand, and I can usually slot my glasses in at such an angle they don't press against my temples.
The mic is also decent enough to make calls, but I'm told it's staticy when I'm playing games so I use my other mic.
There's also a "listening" function for when you want to be able to hear people talk or a "block" function to block out more noise. I honestly leave mine on the block function all the time, and if I'm struggling to hear someone, I shift the positioning on my ear enough to let outside noise in juuust a smidge. I find it less distressing than suddenly being able to hear the entire electronic hum of the world in both ears instead of just partially out of one.
I tried some Apple ones, too, and preferred the fit and sound of the Bose. The Apple ones I tried might have been faulty, but the "noise canceling" effect had a weird popping hiss every so often that I didn't like.
The backup brand my neuro-ophthalmologist keeps in his office was a pair of Sony WH-CH720N Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones. Those were good, too, though I found the ambient setting "nosier." They are cheaper, though, and I think lighter too, and I was again able to wear my glasses in a way that they didn't press too hard.
I don't know about any other cheaper models; this was my first set of noise-canceling headphones, and I was so determined to experience the stillness I'd experienced in the eye clinic I went straight for them in the store😅 But hopefully, someone else will have more info for you in the notes.

I was looking through my blog, saw my reblogs of your gifs, and realized I hadn't stalked scrolled through your blog in DAYS. All the Eve stuff I see in your blog always makes me do a happy, little dance. Also, I may or may not fill up your notifs again 😁
And that Daemon and Rhaenys scene?? I may or may not have ended up shipping them because of it and exploring the possibilities of their dynamic from the one or two interactions between them that was shown has certainly consumed my thoughts. All the what-ifs! But I do keep it low-key in my main blog because I usually see a lot of Daemon hate and I just wanna be in my own little corner, enjoying my thing 🙈
Awww, bless you, that's so lovely. You're very kind, I do appreciate it. It's always nice to see your username crop up in my activity. Go nuts! What more can someone ask for but engagement on their posts?
You ship Daemon and Rhaenys? How interesting! I don't, and I don't think I could really do so even for funsies, there are just too many obstacles in the way for me to do that. Fussy, I know. But I certainly do agree that they have one heck of an interesting dynamic and I would have loved to have seen more of that.
I've not seen Matt discuss those interactions very much but I have seen Eve, discuss both the look she gives Daemon after the news about Jaehaerys, and then the one scene that we have of them alone, together. And how she sees that dynamic and how she thinks Rhaenys sees Daemon, and Daemon, particularly, in that moment and within the context of that scene.
It's one of the relationships where we don't get much but there's so much history and so much inferred, even in just the first season, that you can feel fairly confident in the dynamic. You can feel it. And, for me, it's interesting just looking at how they are positioned in the world and how they pivot around the Iron Throne. The similarities and differences between them, and in how that Targaryen spirit is in them both and is expressed and presented.
The fact that they are, or were, or whatever tense you want to use, the last pillar of a bygone age, as Jaehaerys's grandchildren. There's a shared history known only to them as they go over death after death. They are part of an era now gone. There are no dragon riders as experienced as them, by a fairly decent margin, also.
Something that I wish they'd made more of an effort to represent would be that they could have been said to be the angel and devil on Rhaenyra's shoulder: they're opposites in that way, with Daemon doing damage to and Rhaenys trying to enforce Rhaenyra's authority. The aggressive vs the thoughtful. They're profoundly different people but still passionate, loyal, and fierce. Displaced, proud, independent.
I think Eve described that scene of them together as them being like a panther vs a rattlesnake, and I like what that implies: profoundly different beasts but, at the end of the day, both deadly - both predators.

What to do what to do
Tldr; before I become consumed by the Monhun brainworms again come Wilds I want to move operations to a proper sideblog because:
1) tumblr never implemented account switching and it’s mad annoying to log in and out
2) I'm not allowed to make my real account an admin of this blog and operate that way bc this is a “main” blog. Lame.
Otherwise, just tossing up the question of if I should delete this blog (bc I dislike having an unused account) or keep it up as some sort of archive, since I know people hate when somewhat popular blogs go deactivated. Original post got long so under the cut it goes;
It's been awhile as you can see, but tbh I haven't been "present" much on social media in general. I closed out my last semester of college (yay) so it's been rough for the better part of the past year as I went through the torture gauntlet that is exams and graduation, and another internship. Anyhow this blog is 5 years old woagh, but I haven't actually posted anything related to the story or characters introduced here in like, 3 years.
For this blog in particular, a decently-sized conundrum is that it's not a true sideblog but a separate account, and since Tunglr never made it easy to switch between accounts, its really annoying to log in and out so much (the rest of my blogs are attached to my main account now). Aside that, i've had enough of Wilds' marketing (i'm already sold and don't need to see more tbh) so I haven't been engaging a ton with monhun news and posts recently. In the meantime I was thinking of just making a MH sideblog of the same name for its original purpose of a place to spill my dumb thoughts/screenshots/ocs/whatever (one that's not so out of reach).
The question is what to do with this one; I tend to keep as few accounts as possible so I have no issue deleting it, but i'm also not normal when it comes to art and sure some would be opposed to this blog vanishing. I could compromise and make this one one of those "-archive" blogs for now if that's the case? (For more clarity I never abandon my fanfic stories/ocs if you're thinking you'll never see Surah and the like again. I tend to rotate between a couple casts of characters as my vidyagame interest shifts, bc making fanart and stories for the same series forever is a fast track to boredom and burnout. That also means No, you still can’t repost the art here or use the characters, those are still mine).
One last thing I guess is that the old "ask-a-monster" blog community/phenomenon actually went extinct a long time ago, this blog was set up the way it is for nostalgia mostly. I was planning on making note of all my unanswered asks here for prompts/inspo, but I don't see myself leaning as heavily into in-character asks ever again (with MH characters and anyone else).. It's been fun for character-writing purposes but as the fate of all the ask-blogs tells, building around it is a lot of work and always tends to fall off after a couple years. Heck, it wasn't even supposed to have so many ask posts in the first place (but don't get me wrong, it was still fun and I learned quite a bit). I’ll probably get around to posting the actual writing I’ve done that fills in some of the story gaps, but elsewhere (or in whatever new side location) as I’d rather put the blog to rest as-is than try to revive/reboot it when I'm not too keen on jumping back and forth.
Tumblr media
No idea how many people are actually gonna read all this so I'll add this old Surah wip as compensation

what was your inspo for the daily asks? i love them btw
Thanks for the ask and the interest! I'm delighted to hear you and others enjoy them so much. Makes me feel like I'm doing something worthwhile.
As a general project, Silly Game Time was inspired by a few things.
First, for a while before I started it, I would see a certain kind of post lamenting deteriorations in Tumblr's culture over the years. In particular, how there used to be a much more vibrant and fun practice of sending asks to each other (whether it was numbers or symbols based on a list of questions someone reblogged, participating with someone's fandom-based and roleplay-driven ask blog, copy-pasted bits of positivity and encouragement, and so on). These posts always made me feel a bit nostalgic. I would think, "Yeah, I miss those days, too. Wish they would come back ..."
Second, was a desire to find something I can actually do to make the world a little bit better. You may have noticed that things aren't particularly fantastic on this planet right now (what with several active genocides, extreme weather disasters driven by manmade climate change, pollution and extermination and deforestation ravaging nature, a rise in rightwing ideologies across the globe leading to a resurgence in violent prejudices, mega-corporate exploitation causing the quality and length of life to decrease, AND studios keep canceling all the good shows while streaming services delete them). But I am only one man living below the poverty line. Which begged the question of what I really could actually do.
Third, numerous people in my life remark fairly frequently that I'm a funny, thought-provoking guy (why, yes, I shall toot my own horn, thank you kindly for the invitation to go off on an extended, jazz solo). That I've a talent for making others laugh and giving them something interesting or creative or even profound to consider.
Then one day (186 days ago, to be precise--I know with precision because I've kept a list of all the SGTs I've posed, and have managed to keep SGT running consecutively since then), all these synapses fired at the same time. And the ideas clicked together:
Tumblr wasn't going to change back on its own, and as they say, "Change starts with me." I had to be the change I wanted to see in the Tumblr world by sending asks myself (a bit like if you want to see more people reblogging art and commenting on fics and all that, you have to make sure you're doing it, too). Something I could actually do in the face of so much doom and gloom in the world was to use my talent for humor and profundity to spread some light-hearted, mind-engaging fun. At least in my own little corner of the world, as far out as I can reach. Like a single ray sunshine on a cloudy day, it might not change the overall weather, but at least it might make things a bit more bearable emotionally in the meantime for those who see it. It's a little thing, perhaps inconsequential ... but then again, perhaps not so inconsequential for the people who feel they have nothing. After all, we're a species that uses little things to survive hard times.
What is hope if not a little thing?
ANYWHO! For specific asks, inspiration comes from anything and everything. Whatever sparks an idea, I'll immediately try to make note of it to use later. It certainly helps that I not only can be silly with it, but am indeed striving to be silly with it. For silliness has infinite variety. That's why it might just save humankind.
Thanks again for the ask! And if you like the idea, feel free to take part in it. Copy-paste the question and ask others who you think might enjoy it, too. I certainly won't object to this rippling outward. Or send ones that you think up yourself. Why the heck not? Everybody could use some more light-hearted fun, right?

I don’t know how to start messages at all, so I’ll just get to the point: you’re writing is hecking amazing. I literally only just discovered your blog and I’m already hooked and invested in like 5 different stories. As people say, I want to consume your writing the way a wolf tears apart the innards of its prey (hope that’s not too weird of a compliment; I mean that the writing is very good. I’m not good at expressing extreme amazement and stuff through writing at all and general social awkwardness so sorry if I’m coming off as weird, I don’t mean to).
I have more things to say/ask (like how you write so fast cause the heck? That’s a compliment by the way), but I don’t want to be rude or annoying. Anyways, I hope you’re having a good day/night and are staying hydrated and enjoying some cookies (or whatever your favorite food is) while you do writing stuff (or school or whatever. Idk anything about your life. I’ll stop talking now before I go on another tangent like right now) :)
This is literally one of the sweetest compliments I've EVER gotten! I love the analogy with the wolf tearing out the insides of its prey, that gave me a good laugh and made me smile LOL. It's not weird at all! (At least, not in MY world, because 'weird' is my version of 'normal'. You can't out-weird me haha) and I'm super socially awkward too so I totally understand how you feel!
I absolutely adore the fact that you took the time to send this to me! It really helps motivate me to keep writing! I honestly wouldn't post here very often without comments like yours to keep me going.
On to answering your questions now. This is going to be a long one.
Firstly, I have a terrible relationship with sleep. Sleep hates me. So my solution? Stay up to 3am writing giant novels! Some nights the inspiration hits out of nowhere, and I'll write like a crazy person on their 10th cup of coffee, doing five whole pages in Google Docs. Like I don't know what sleep is anymore LOL. Then I break the large chunk of writing I did up into several smaller sections I can put into separate posts on this app that I can post slowly over time to keep people entertained for a longer time instead of posting everything all at once and running out of content.
For example, I might literally have 13 posts in my drafts section ALL from a single batch of writing I did all at once the night before that took me 5 whole hours to write and edit.
In all honestly I am NOT a fast writer at all. I just happen to be able to write giant sections at a time and then split them up so I can post frequently which gives the ILLUSION that I am fast writer because of how often I post content. But in reality it's just been prepared in advance on my sleepless nights where I power through and complete whole pages at a time. (I'm actually a slower snail when it comes to writing because I try to go for quality not quantity -- I take my time to make stories interesting vs just writing as long as I can)
It's convenient too because some days I don't have the inspiration at all/experience writer's block so I can just post content I made over the previous few nights instead to make up for not writing anything new that day.
I also have ADHD which makes it so I can hyperfocus on writing for several hours at a time without a break. Sometimes I'll get really deep into a story where I just can't put down my phone and stop writing to go to sleep.
Thanks again for your WONDERFUL ask! It made my whole day (or night in this case, ironically because that's what it is right now for me as I'm answering this LOL -- proving my point about no sleep 😅😅)
Keep being awesome my new fan!! 🥰 And hope you enjoy more of my stories!

Games I Enjoyed in 2024
It's that time of year again where I write about my favorite games I played in 2024!
Normally, I keep track of all this stuff on a Notepad app on my PC, but sadly, during the last bit of 2024, I had to hard reset my PC, and all of the old notes from previous years were lost.
Broke my heart a bit to lose a part of me to remember the games I played in previous years. It was like a personal journal entry of where I was in life. I do have the previous year's blog posts of SOME of the games that were highlights which is better than NOTHING, but man... (Rest in peace little file: 2018-2024)
Thankfully I could tally up all of the games I finished this year despite the loss.
I finished about 26 games in 2024 (two games were back-to-back replays so technically I finished 28 games but to keep it simple... 26). This is far LESS than last year, but far MORE than 2022.
I will keep most of these thoughts short since I did a stream on Radio PSI with Nightshade about my "favorite games in 2024." Here's a brief write-up.
Pikmin 4- (Nintendo Switch)
Tumblr media
I'm sad I didn't get to play this at launch. I never finished 1, 2, or, 3 but once I was told that this game could be played as is without needing to play the other games, I decided to dive in, and I finally understood the appeal of the series. It's a comforting game to play and it's beginner-friendly so I don't have to feel too bad if I'm messing up.
From collecting the ship parts, exploring dungeons, collecting glow Pikmin, and upgrading myself and Oatchi... it was a treat and much more (especially with the post-game content). This is a game I'm glad I 100%'d. I hope to play the other Pikmin games in the future. It won't be the same as 4, but I love these little guys so much. The purple Pikmin are my favorite.
Incredible Crisis- (Playstation 1)
Tumblr media
I was suggested to play this because a friend told me that my comic/ game idea had the same vibe as this game so I decided to try it out and... wow. They got me...
Take the wacky antics of Wario Ware and Bishi Bashi and slam them into a blender... you get Incredible Crisis. Some mini-games can be hard, but once you get the rhythm down it's not THAT bad. This game has SO many ideas and goofy things it tries to do that it is a personal gold mine of goofy ideas and things I want to try in my own projects so if you want something fun and unserious please check out this insane concoction of stuff that made me laugh and smile.
Also that OST by Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. Perfection.
Chulip- (Playstation 2)
Tumblr media
I played a LOT of Chulip-like games this year. Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, Dropsy, Starstruck, and even For Whom The Frog Bell Tolls. Out of all of them... I loved them all equally. I couldn't rank them so technically they are all here in this spot. This is my list I do whatever the heck I want. Chulip is an insane game to pitch and market for a US audience, but I love games that break the norm. Simple premise, but you are thrown into so many moments, characters, and situations JUST to be able to kiss the girl of your dreams. It's stupid and obtuse, but that's the kind of game I want to play. It's all about the journey rather than the destination and Chulip makes sure that you remember this experience (especially at the end where the game THROWS a whole quiz on you to see if you remember everything you experienced). I want more games like this (Stray Children just came out in Japan and I am STOKED for a US release in 2025).
Splatoon 2- Octo Expansion- (Nintendo Switch)
Tumblr media
I have NEVER finished a single-player campaign in Splatoon until 2024. Everyone told me that if there was ONE single-player mode to play it was Octo Expansion. I got around to it and I feel the best way to explain this campaign without saying much is that this is Nintendo's Portal 2.
Octo Expansion was awesome! The OST, the art, and the characters were a HUGE highlight personally. It's another game that inspired me creatively and that finale really put my skills to the test and left me VERY satisfied that I got to experience something like Portal 2 again. Good job, Nintendo.
Metroid Dread- (Nintendo Switch)
Tumblr media
Before I could REALLY dive into this game I played all of Zero Mission and Fusion just to get myself ready and MAN. This game rules. I loved Super Metroid and I am SO GLAD I got to play this. I don't have much to say other than if you want to play a GOOD Metroid game and you haven't played Dread yet? PLEASE play Dread. Samus is the coolest lady in the galaxy... (this game prompted me to read the Metroid manga and now I am all about playing Metroid Prime 2 and 3 before Prime 4 is released so I am like on a huge Metroid fixation atm).
Before I talk about my personal GOTY I am gonna highlight some other games I enjoyed playing and finishing this year, but it will just be the titles (bringing the ones I already mentioned in passing here so it's not forgotten since I know not EVERYONE reads my silly ramblings):
Starstruck (PC)
Egg Squeeze (PC)
Corn Kidz 64 (PC)
P5 Strikers (PS4)
Metroid Zero Mission (GBA)
Metroid Fusion (GBA)
For Whom The Frog Bell Tolls (GB)
Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland (DS)
Dropsy (PC)
Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (Switch)
Ok it's time to talk about my favorite game I played this year that came out of nowhere and made me the happiest dude in the world...
Emio The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club- (Nintendo Switch)
Tumblr media
This is one of Nintendo's most ambitious games to come out of the company in a LONG time. I NEVER thought I would see a new entry to this series EVER again. I had hope that MAYBE a remake of the Satellaview game would be in the works, but that was about it.
Nope!
When they first teased about "Emio" and left the internet stumped for about a week to figure out who the heck Emio is... I was like "ok this is a new approach of Nintendo that's cool". After the week passed and I woke up to see it was for Famicom Detective Club... I was probably one of the ONLY people who was VERY excited to see the news that Nintendo is giving me another entry to one of the most overlooked series in Nintendo's history.
I totally understand why a lot of people WOULD be disappointed when it wasn't a "real horror game", but I feel a lot of the promotion and pushing for this game means that Nintendo REALLY believed in this game and I was eager to see what the heck Yoshio Sakamoto wanted to share with this new entry.
To prepare myself I ended up replaying the older games and saw that they were doing chapter releases (sorta similar to Satallaview in a way hmmmm....) before the game was released. I basically sat down and marathoned it on Twitch.
I WISH I could talk about my ENTIRE thoughts of this game, but I feel that everyone should do themselves a favor and actually pick up and buy this game. There will NEVER be another Nintendo game like this again. Nintendo took a RISK to make this game and the story they wanted to tell is something I would never expect from Nintendo.
Never has a game broken my heart this much. There were many moments that caught me off guard that I will have a hard time forgetting about for the rest of my life. I can understand why Yoshio Sakamoto said that the ending will be very divisive. Even some reviews that came out afterward really showed who loved and who hated what this game was trying to do.
I feel this is the first time in a long time that Nintendo went out of its way to put so much money into telling a very human story that while not many people will see it for what it is, I'm putting Emio on my list as one of my favorite video games of all time. Unfortunately, the reception wasn't as big as it should have been and it may mean this series may be dormant once again, but there was a recent interview from Yoshio Sakamoto that FDC isn't QUITE done yet so I pray that means this IP has more moments to shine. This was a big surprise for me in 2024 and I truly believe that it's more important than ever going forward that people need to take time to enjoy something rather than trying to treat it like it's fast food or the flavor of the month. Emio proved that to me with its story, visuals, writing, and OST. I ended up playing this game TWICE and it's possible I may end up playing it a third time. The amount of new dialogue and new things you can find in Emio was surprising and it just made me love what Nintendo did for this game and I wish more people would give it a chance.
THANKFULLY you don't need to have played the other games in the series to play Emio. Yes, it DOES mention parts from the previous games in Emio, but they are more like little snippets that will lure you into wanting to play those games which I REALLY appreciate Nintendo doing. I'm happy that this new entry to the series is similar to how Pikmin 4 is a good intro game to the Pikmin series for newer players. I feel as time goes on that will be a game I gift to friends in hopes that everyone gives Famicom Detective Club another chance.
Welp... it's a new year with many more games to play and look forward to. Thanks to everyone who bothers reading these. Until 2026 when I'll post this again!

4,000 posts
This is not the 4,000th post on this blog.
It’s the 4,000th one that goes public, but while I write this, but as I say, regularly, I am always working ahead. This is just another note in the midst of a mix, an article that due to a coincidence of timing comes out now, right at the very tail end of December, 4,380 days since the blog’s founding in 2013. That indicates that I’ve only not posted something here in on 9% of the days that it was possible to do so, and if I keep going with the daily posting like this, that percent will creep down until at some point I can’t do it any more and then it will creep back up until the lifetime of these 4,000 posts is a blip in the greater cosmic significance of our ascendance to the stars or whatever.
I mean it’s not a special thing, really. 4,000 is no more special or less a number than 4,001 or 3,999. The significance it has is being assigned to it by me, as someone who noticed a count on an internal system, a number on the wordpress content management system.
There are some you won’t see; there’s some posts about something private, when I imagined maybe I would treat the blog like a journal, a literal web log? But that faded, and now I keep them because their primary job as posts is to mark dates for me, to put time stamps on events that are important in my life and the life of my friends.
I wish I had some statistics on this. I know this year, the target has been a 1,000 word minimum for every post that isn’t showing off a graphic design or releasing something with its own big word count. Like if I’d made a podcast this year (and there is a plan to), a post announcing and sharing that would be just that. All the t-shirt posts this year are just posts showing off the design and giving links, but I’ve felt that’s a valid way to serve those up. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words, etcetera.
That means across this year, at minimum, I’ve written 354,000 words for this blog. Now, I do fear that some of those words are bad ones, wasteful words. Words where I pad a sentence with a joke about padding sentences, words where I got lost in my own conversational style and waste your time with the reading, but while there are some weeds I have an easier time pulling up (like starting sentences with ‘so’), some of these problems in my writing are like sand in stones, deep and abiding and almost impossible to peel out. The solution would have been to not make the mistakes in the first place.
When I hit 2,000 daily posts, I wrote about the things that being able to do that indicated. This list included:
You make big habits out of small habits.
Post regularly because you want to.
Not everything needs to be for everyone.
Building habits has knock-on effects.
Build structures to build structure.
I can do this because of pre-existing privilege.
You’ve got to be willing to shout in a bucket.
These are all still true. After all, writing 4,000 anythings is going to take some time, even just 4,000 words is the task of a few days. Heck, even if you were just repeating the same word over and over again, writing down any word 4,000 times is going to be a chunk of time expended. And I ostensibly, spente this time, doing things with these words.
Some of these things are a matter of big things that I break up as a part of workload. Like, the articles about Hecsenfore, the city I designed to answer a question about whether or not there was a possibility for a livable, acceptable Necrostate, there is no reason I had to do that as three articles. I could have made one absolute monster of an article, one article, six thousand words long, but instead I broke it in to three parts. This was, in part, thanks to the idea of a word count goal. A thousand words is the goal, so if I get near a thousand words, there is a push to get the last of that thousand out and tap to the next post. There is an urge, with that goal, to hit that goal and not ‘waste’ effort.
Some articles are just necessarily larger than that. Sometimes I write about something where I’m deeply invested in it, where the words are going to come out of me and there’s an immense weight to it. I feel like that’s my desire to run my mouth, where sometimes the ideas are there and coiling inside me and I just have a lot to say and this blog is the best place to say it. My article on Oshi no Ko is six thousand words, practically a week of writing all on its own, and I instead made it as one single beast of a text, and that’s because, well, that’s… that’s just what I had in me to talk about. There’s a reality at work here though: I have other things I have to do and this blog is a hobby, not a job. There are things that if I was being paid more I would do more, I would make larger and more elaborate things, but when I get 2,500 words out of me on a topic that can be split apart… why wouldn’t I? That’s practically three articles, all spread out that way, maybe a little introduction for one of them and a conclusion for the last one?
Plus, and this is also a factor, I feel like spending a lot of your time on what I want to talk about is a waste unless I have something meaningful to say. Multi-hour videos are a genre unto themselves on Youtube, but they’ve made me keenly aware of how frustrated I am by people using them as a way to make a point when the point they want to make should be more conveniently referencable, Harris Bomberguy.
Four thousand posts.
Four thousand posts.
So close to the end of the year, where I normally do a yearly reflection post, it is pretty funny to consider this post is also going to be doing back references to other things I wrote. There should be some lesson, some greater lesson from the 2,000 daily posts posts, but the result is much more relaxed. Yeah, those things I said? They’re right. They’re still right. And now I’m here, with all this writing and all this practice, multiple books of work and just multiple books.
Because I wanted to try and I was able to keep going when I got hit in the gut with early discouragement.
Check it out on PRESS.exe to see it with images and links!
