now that i think abt it, looking back, srmthfg did a lot of stuff that i liked so much, let’s say regarding the main character. I find Chiro’s case so interesting because despite the fact that he is never given any backstory whatsoever, he becomes meaningful through his actions and becomes established and distinguished through his interactions with others. I think he is such a likeable character but not in the way that he’s perfect, he has his flaws and fears that he overcomes or struggles with. He is shown multiple times being kind towards others, even towards hideous creatures or animals (i mean it would be ironic for him to hate animals given that he lives with monkeys) which at the time was like such a breath of fresh air for me. Also the way characters constantly belittle/make fun of him for hanging out with animals and he just pretty much tells all of them to f off which is great. The majority of times the villains aren’t even naturally evil but corrupted by the evil force and the main characters recognize that and try to help as much as they can. Another thing that i like abt Chiro is that he’s supposed to be ‘’the chosen one’’ but he isn’t overpowered, he has several established moves which he uses throughout the show or improves and that’s it. and he loses, A LOT. Like there’s this great accent placed on the fact that they are a team and on how they are constantly saving each other.

AND GOD let me tell you, i dislike mechs, among all animals primates and monkeys are my least favorite and yet this show has somehow managed to make me love BOTH. The way they made me care so deeply abt each freaking technicolor monkey, about this pink mary-sue-ish robot-girl, and about that plain-ass looking super robot is INSANE. The writer somehow managed to give them so much personality. When Antauri [redacted] I was literally not okay for several weeks. I related to Gibson so much and his beef with Sprx was so fun and his relationship with Otto so nice. Nova was badass and funny and i loved the big sister kind of relationship she had with Chiro. I can’t even chose a fave out of the monkeys because they complemented each other so well. Jinmay seemed sorta boring at first but the fact that she was a robot made everything so much more interesting, i absolutely loved all the times when they would pit her against the heroes. I also loved that she was established from the beginning and kept being a recurring character even becoming a member of the team but not in the way that it would break the team’s mojo. The super-robot was so plain but the way they constantly showed us it was sentient was so eerie. AND god the villains where compelling, terrifying and idk felt like a constant looming threat. Idk maybe it’s nostalgia speaking but this show had so much shit that somehow newer shows/anime constantly miss and it makes me sad when i remember how it ended and how it has been literally forgotten by everyone. Sometimes i think it’s a fever dream because nobody ever mentions it, not even when they are talking abt ‘‘forgotten shows’‘ :’)))

Homeboy grew up in a murder cult, and he tries to...murder someone? WHAT IS THIS CONUNDRUM??? Are we shocked that the kid who only knows the hierarchy of the League didn't automatically unbrainwash himself the moment he stepped into the custody of the oh so caring and sweet and understanding BATMAN? I'd send Tim flying too if I was Damian, sorry not sorry.

And I'm gonna hold your hand when I say this but Tim can be an asshole, and I'm gonna need your other hand cause Damian can be an asshole too. And I'm gonna need a third hand cause I hate to break it to all the warring stans out there, but they don't even hate eachother anymore in the comics, they're lowkey chill.

In conclusion, don't hate Tim because of Damian, there's so much better things to hate him for! Like his stupid haircuts! And his gay ass boat! And don't hate Damian because of Tim, put some god damn passion into it. Hate him because he's a theatre kid, hate him because he'd love Fortnite.

hi!! :) honestly i feel like its hard to change how they did the awakening kids if only because the way that the game works, right? because the player should be able to pair off the first gen and get the kids at their own pace. to make the awakening kids relevant in the main story, you would have to make them all required pickups at specific times which. you know, ME as a person, i would love that. but for a game that was sold to millions of people, ehh. bad idea. but i think the nice middle ground would be to just make ONE more kid aside from lucina a mandatory recruit. ideally, i would pick owain if only to mirror chrom and lissa and also because lissa is already a plot relevant character (who admittedly takes a backseat post timeskip but… maybe owain would get her talking more?). and one problem i have with specifically awakening’s presentation of their story is that they always have lucina there saying something about the future coming to pass, and then. no one cares 😭 and they just ignore her and keep talking and its really just her trying to warn people who will not change their minds! having someone like owain to acknowledge and back up her claims would help a LOT at 1) giving her someone else aside from chrom to bounce off of and 2) making you see how truly dire their future was if TWO of them are begging you to listen to reason. just my take. i think owain would be a decent mandatory recruit around when u get say’ri? maybe WITH say’ri honestly…

for fates its really just a matter of giving the awakening trio more lines in the story. i think because odin joins early in conquest and selena joins (relative to the other two) early in rev, they couldve served as mouthpieces to provide context for the war to corrin and maybe even had some main story one on one conversations with them to assess what corrin is like and what their goal is. thats really all i need from them! maybe laslow (and odin in rev) couldve given corrin like a one on one update on how the war has progressed up until you meet him, and he advises them on how to act every now and then for the rest of the story. just, small things! maybe one of them accidentally drops a line hinting that they know more than they let on, and thats REALLY all they needed. because without even just a LITTLE bit of that, it just feels like they came to nohr and said “lmao this mission is boring” and just did whatever they wanted 😭 like ok guys. so yeah. just a little bit of extra screen time WITH corrin. thats how i’d improve it.

i haven't gotten too far into black clover (only ep 74 or smth like that) but there's one thing that i've been thinking about recently

no matter how little an action or sentance is, it tends to have a profound ripple effect on everyone else in the series

fuegoleon's "stay calm"s and "don't let your dickass siblings get you down you are in life or death and also better than that"(horridly paraphrased) and even the hand to head chops to a certain extent. THEN later on finding out that the chops and the "stay calm"s originated from sister theresa?? which presumably originated from her mentors and their mentors before them ad nauseum????

and then there's yami's profound effects on the black bulls just by being himself. where i am in the story it's not fully explained why or how he managed to come across gauche or vanessa, but him just wreaking havoc in his own way led to their lives being changed forever!

and when he heard asta say "i've never had someone expect something of me before" and instantly starts consciously expecting more of him. even when he orders asta to rest, he still gives him chores to do. it's different from how he does it before, too- i like to think it's his own way of showing him that he does expect great things, that he does believe

and for worse- nozel, nebra, and solid constantly belittling noelle had led to a very lasting affect on her. no matter what she does, how much she succeeds, it still shows in her nervous tics and need to assert herself as royalty(especially in unfamiliar situations) that she does not have all her self confidence BECAUSE she was bullied so viscously by her own blood. it's gotten better as she's grown as a person, and she's starting to learn to cope with the negative thoughts- but they don't go away.
