Whew! I finally got this doodle done ;w; I have officially drawn all of the detectives of the Nocturnal Detective Agency at least once yay :3 I never thought I would tbh... x'D

I think Halara came out pretty good, but I think I could've done better on Fubuki ^^; This pose was complicated but once I got Halara to a nice pose, I had a bit of trouble with Fubuki x-x

Yet another ship I could kind of understand due to Fubuki's DLC.

How Halara suffered such an awful allergy attack? Lets just say that Fubuki took them to a cat cafe somewhere in Ginma...this was before she learned their deep dark secret. And Halara couldn't resist the cuteness so...they went anyway despite the penalty... x'D

Fubuki regrets it the minute Halara suffers a sneezing fit on the way back to base and has to lay down due to their head pounding from the sinuses. They end up not only with a runny nose and eyes, but they sadly got a few skin rashes too... yikes, the poor thing x-x; They make sure to have an extra sweet lollipop to help with their mood, as well as act as a substitute lozenge for their dry throat, some nasal spray for the stuffiness and an ice pack for their headache.

Fubuki tries to do whatever she can to help, even if the cause of it was her fault to begin with... xD And Halara cannot move much so...they just take whatever the ditzy time detective throws their way. Fubuki lovingly babysits the stuffy postcogditive detective while they recover.

This was my first time experimenting with allergies as an ailment so...I tried to read up on it before I drew so I could at least be accurate. Allergies isn't really the same thing as being ill. But it was still fun to draw it out :3

(tfw halara looks sicker than everyone else did... lmao improvement?)

I came across an article online about the decision to change the Tale of Two Lovers that was titled something to the effect of "a minor change that doesn't make a difference". But here's the thing: it makes all the difference.

I was 12 when Avatar first aired, exactly in the target demographic. I'm watching it now through the lens of an adult who grew up with the show, and I noticed the difference immediately. My fiance, a cishet man, was more excited about the secret tunnel song than anything, but I got stuck on Oma and Shu, and instantly just thought of what it would've been like to hear that so casually mentioned at 12 years old, uncertain of my wlw identity, to have the story of the foundation of the Earth kingdom be of a love between two women. It's so important and I'm so happy they did that.

#the quote is a little bit silly but it adquires seriousness when you know everything that comes later #especially because it's hurrem's mother's quote from when she lived in ruthenia. when peace was possible. when she was going to marry leo #and had her future all planned. and there was stability #but the joke is suleyman's. after all becoming part of his family is what brings that ambiguity to the quote for hurrem's story #as it could be argued she never found true peace. at least for the most of her life #but also suleyman speaks in general terms here. so the quote can be extended to all the characters and in this episode of double joy it's #even more significant. because peace it's going to go sooner than later. and the signals of future ibratice problems are already there #and just as the birds are partly symbolic of that temporal peace and joy in love for hurrem the gifts the marriage gets are very important #as well #this episode is just gifts gifts gifts all around #suleyman's necklace for hatice has the tulips of the dynasty and it's something ibrahim himself recognizes could never give her #she says she's always going to have it w her. tho i don't remember seeing it too much in her tbh sdfy #in the other side ibrahim gets a lot of gifts. but the one that reminds him of his origin is his father's ofc. and he says he will always #have it with him as well. and later he gets suleyman's ring [i'm w haticehurrem. this totally looks like a subrahim wedding asfg]#which goes to remind us that he's now officially part of his family as well. he returned but he converted again. and THEN there's the table!#and taking away the politic alliance it could signify. it is venetian. his mother's heritage is there. in all the palace. and in the same #episode hurrem mentioned her mother's saying. the dynasty [or at least the most conservative side represented by ayse] it's unconfortable #the converts are not only winning more power and getting closer to the family. but they're also bringing their cultures & traditions to the #*ba dum tss* table #there's more to the whole return/convert and how it shows in the ibratice palace especially later w the statues but if i ever write about it #it deserves a post of its own ofc [and prolly someone that knows what they're talking about more than me lmao]#noo why did i write so much 😭 i should've done a separate post this is a mess to be under an already long picspam #anyways there's other significant gifts as the clock that musti likes or mahi's lucky charm for selim. and also the ones we already knew:#the ibratice gifts together 💝. and these contrast a lot with the rest because it's something of their own. when the couple was separated #from dynastic or even ibro's family. will they ever find peace again? we'll see it in the next episode [i'm lying]#maybe i should organize this in a post of its own #magnificent century #muhtesem yuzyil #mc1picspam4episode

truly ted lasso gave us the best gift a show could ever give a fandom: complete lack of confirmation or denial either way

#as well as the option of 'it was all a dream' interpretation for any bits of that final montage we didn't like #ted lasso #tbh the show didn't stick the landing as much as i expected it to #but it did so in such a way that we can go hogwild in this sandbox while remaining canon compliant for...most things really #certainly the bits i'm talking about here #namely: the roy-keeley-jamie situation #(which is good because their wrap-up was absolutely the weakest of the bunch)#(although i don't think they did anything particularly effective or affective with nate either #although nick mohammed did kill it in that scene with ted)#canon compliance is 0% a requirement for anything of course #but it does add a little extra something when you can slide something into the realm of 'feasible'#or at least when you don't have to evade or elide critical chunks of the actual story in order to tell yours #this finale's an interesting one from a storytelling analysis perspective #ultimately i would put the failures down to such careful writing over the rest of the season (and entire show)#that they were left with too much space to fill effectually and too little space to meaningfully #weave in any of the smaller outstanding threads #in combination with what i can only think to call.....An American Approach To An End #which is probably unfair of me but to me it felt there was something distinctly American about the lack of ingenuity #too focused on the meta-goodbye rather than effectively closing out the story #anyway #still Rotating #but also Rotating My Eyes

first of all, the duffers absolutely didn't have the full series planned out from the start because Stranger Things was originally pitched as a limited series with 1) the potential for a direct "sequel" that would follow the younger kids as adults (basically, they pitched "It") or 2) an outright sci-fi horror anthology. second of all, even if the duffers did have everything mapped out from the start that doesn't mean that plan isn't garbage.

#strangerthoughts #sorry ST reddit is driving me INSANE. please crawl back out of the duffers' asses #these guys literally lost the plot back in S3 and course corrected so hard that everyone collectively experienced whiplash #if they had any kind of plan in mind it definitely wasn't until after S2 #I would argue it wasn't until after S3 tbh #like. S1 was definitely intended to stand alone #S2 was a direct continuation that only happened because netflix saw the show as profitable #and the duffers scrambled to yeet something out in a little over a year #which is why the justice for barb plot is a thing and el's plot is so disconnected from the rest of the season #they had no idea what to do with her when she was SUPPOSED TO DIE #S3 feels like the duffers pitched an anthology season and netflix said no #like. I could have liked S3 as a standalone campy action comedy #but it being a wacky season in the midst of non-wacky seasons makes me wonder what the duffers were smoking #and if the duffers had a solid plan for vecna before S3 I'll give them my left kidney free of charge #because S4 is a messy season. they crammed things in there that did not need to be crammed in #they bloated the cast and clearly had no idea what to do with 75% of said cast #and when I talk about the episodes being too long I'm directly referring to how in the last episode the kill vecna crew are being #STRANGLED BY VINES and PINNED TO A WALL for like thirty minutes straight #at that point someone should have suggested they reevaluate what they just wrote. because what they wrote sucked #I genuinely don't think the duffers will ever be show runners again #I think they'll continue to direct. which they are pretty good at. but I don't see them ever writing anything majorly successful again

#i dont think bob's burgers has made any fatphobic jokes since maybe season two... or three?#and he's far from the only fat character on the show there's gretchen teddy bob etc just in the main cast #but whenever i watch early bobs burgers episodes they piss me off SO MUCH like he's just a little boy 😭😭 just a sweetheart angel #the “heavy kids can get molested” joke in episode one obviously being the worst example. 😑#the early seasons could be really funny but they had some pretty horrible offensive jokes too!! less so in episodes after episode one tbh #which makes sense bcuz that episode was written/produced closer to 2008 than 2011 like the rest of season one #and then by 2013 they were pretty much done with that style of humor. thank GOD #txt #bob's burgers #tw fatphobia #tw csa mention
