You mostly looked like Luna from Sailor Moon... but your eyes. They were like a normal cat’s, but golden, and your pupils looked like Primogems. 

Great... You thought annoyed, you’ve read stories, some get cool powers, others get their phones... but you got a Cat! How unfair, but you choose to feel thankful, you didn’t know if their was anything to this place yet... 

They could have killed you for being an ‘ImPoStOr,’ you mentally mock the name... But you started to wonder and ended up cutting yourself.

Not gold blood. Not stary blood. Or pink blood. It looked like the Galaxy, the drops that lost contact with your skin floated up to the sky...

So... You were a god? How does that work? You were stuck in the form of a cat... So confusing... But you decided to wander around and learn.

In the few weeks you’ve been here, you’ve found out the following.

One, the true “Impostor,” had descended here long ago.

Two, they weren’t an animal.

Three, you did, in fact, have a human form, but felines are your ‘Symbolic Animals,’ odd, but you’ve always been a cat person. (You did figure out how to turn back into human, but you didn’t have clothes and turned right back into a cat.)

Four, you can control the different elements; So you decided to be chaotic and make a cat friendly base in the trees and ground so no one would find you.

Five, the mobs didn’t attack you.

So far, when someone’s seen you, you’d bolt. But now, you have a proper escape plan! So, you started working. Of course, you struggled, after all, you weren’t exactly used to being a cat yet, or using the elemental powers. But you managed. 

Thankfully, Tevyat helped you, making sure you found fresh and clean water; giving you cat-friendly fruits to eat, or letting you catch big fishes; making sure the waters were calm if you tried swimming; and the winds gently blew you dry after.

But after a few months, you made a very small cave system for cats, or bunnies now that you think of the size, to travel through. You didn’t fully understand Dendro enough to make a tree base.

More time passed, as you lived as a cat. You didn’t care to keep up a ‘good appearance,’ why should you? You’re a cat in the forests near Mondstadt, staying alive was more important for you.

Time actually was passing so fast because you were so used to your world’s time. So, you didn’t really eat or sleep like the others here. So before you could process, a year had gone by... 

You spend that time playing; chasing seelies, napping with slimes, and visiting some Melusines in Fontaine (Them not telling anyone your the Creator). Letting the hilichurls braid your now fluffy and long fur. 

And you were getting homesick; yes, you were having fun... But you missed your parents, your older brother, your friends... Hell! You missed school, as crazy as it sounds...

No one here called you by your name... No one looked at you... No one thought anything of you now... But it was your face and name being taken by that person... 

You shake yourself out of your thoughts, angrily... You didn’t like this as much as you thought you did... You enjoyed being free and not being hunted down... but you wanted to talk to people...

But you joined your favorite Hilichurl Camp, joining in with the fire dance. You were invested into the dance as you breathed Fireballs, of different shapes, into the night sky; Thankfully, not harming any trees, or wildlife.

But, barely missed the boy who was acting like a wolf-... Wait!?

Kaeya vividly remembers how he felt the first time you asked him on a date. It was like he was on top of the world, the broadest smile on his face as he agreed to meet you for dinner later, all while having his heart and throat squeeze itself of life. Like the organ that was responsible for keeping him on Teyvat was trying to sabotage him tying a weight to itself and tugging painfully. Tread carefully Kaeya Alberich, remember your place.

Of course, things couldn't be this easy, not when everything good resulted in a double-edged sword stabbing him in the back. There had to be a catch - were you pitying him? Mondstadt knew the bits and pieces of his history with the Ragnvindrs, you easily could too. No, maybe you, the one that captured his attention after many run-ins around the city of wind, had your eye on him too, but for all the wrong reasons.

If he was honest, he almost didn't go. He was a man of his word, yes, but right before the time Kaeya was supposed to meet you, he felt more like he was a ten-year-old boy again, scared and unsure of what the future held. Would you even actually be there? Maybe he just should go home... but what if you're waiting for him? He can't just embarrass you by leaving you there...

Just one peek, he told himself, rounding the building until he stood at the back entrance and sticking his head in. Every day after that one he thanked the Archons that he did, because after pssting Diluc over and inquiring if you were in the building, to which the redhead sighed and nodded, Kaeya steeled himself and sat down with you, offering a small lie that work kept him and that he was terribly sorry. That one decision let a relationship like no other that he's experienced blossom, and his days went from the monotonous curse to slightly better moments to repetition he was comfortable and content with. He even managed by some miracle to get to raise a kid with you, vowing to love both of you with all his heart. To provide for you both the best he can.

So where did he go wrong? Why did he come home to the door rammed through, swinging in the gentle wind? What about the sight of the home the three of you built together over the years destroyed, furniture toppled over and drawers obviously rummaged through?

For the first time in a while Kaeya felt fear strike his body, blood running cold as he called out your name and your kid’s name, begging for a response. Each second that ticked by worsened that chilling feeling as he checked room after room, finding each one turned upside down and void of life.

When the ground floor showed no luck the male climbed the stairs, tripping over in his haste as he disregarded all the other rooms and made a beeline for the bedroom. Out of all the rooms, that one was more likely where he’d find you.

And find you he did… but he wished it wasn’t dead in a pool of your own blood, eyes lifelessly stuck open. What was worse was the body of his kid not too far away from you, curled on their side. From the scene alone, it seems as if you were crawling towards them to protect them, even in your last breath.

Evidence be damned, as the tears fall down his face Kaeya collects the broken forms of you and your kid into his arms. He doesn't care for the blood staining his clothes or how loud his sobs are or how awkward the position is because all that matters is getting to hold his spouse and child for the last time.

At least he was allowed to hold them in peace, his final goodbye. That was the only thing he was granted amidst the pain.

Iridescent, yet frail and nigh invisible strings caressed the Iudex's gloved wrist, the Hydro sigil he'd made dissipating at the same rate that the final hilichurl disintegrated. This had already been a common routine for the Chief Justice: being pulled away from his duties and joining the Traveler's 'party' with three other individuals.

It had become a regular occurance for Neuvilette as of late. It's been around, what, a few years since he's been invited to do so? Nonetheless, he's learnt considerably more in the intervening period than he ever would have by being cooped up in his office all day.

From the forgotten island in Mondstadt, to the fact that the Dendro Dragon Sovereign was still alive, even learning that the Geo Archon faked his death, and more.

But the most significant aspect of his entire Hydro-Dragon-Sovereign-reincarnated-as-a-human life was his growing knowledge of the Creator of Teyvat — his previous incarnation's creator, too, to be exact.

At first, like any other chosen acolyte, he couldn't understand whatever they were saying. Even the simplest words of their divine lexicon he couldn't make sense of, and anything he'd ever manage to hear were like choruses of voices — to the softest female voice akin to a child, to something he could only describe as nothing at all, from the most agonizing scream he'd ever heard, to the soft whispers of sweet nothings caressing his ear ever so gently.

It got to the point where needed the assistance of his other 'teammates' to translate a single letter; the retired geo archon would only tell him that they were quite overjoyed after he answered their call.

And with each ascension, he regained power comparable to that of a fully fledged dragon — his humble origins. Who knew that a good amount of colorful starfishes, transoceanic pearls, chunks, and crystals, multiples of the horn of a thought-to-be-extinct fontemer seahorse and gorgeous varunada lazurite gemstones in various forms, sizes, and hues could endow him with such power? And so simply, too?

Though he does not express it outwardly, his form is filled with pride whenever he summons the sigil to put forth a flood of hydro against the many, many forces of Teyvat that wished to harm him and the other acolytes.

More self indulgence Genshin impact. I'm going start backing up my Genshin writing on AO3 because I'm really enjoying this lol and want to make more. Please be kind to me, I'm not a "fanfic writer" I'm just sharing this because I find it fun.

Brief synopsis of what this is: Mine/your first meeting with the Fontaine siblings. I just straight up include my name here so if you're also a Sarah you'll get extra enjoyment from this. Lyney suffering from love at first sight lol. A really cute paragraph of Freminet. In my little sagau fantasy this takes place after the game has ended, so just assume Lumine and Aether are reunited and everything major is resolved. OH! And female reader and no smut here, just Lyney being infatuated with you.❤

But love the idea of cool, suave, a bit aloof Lyney stumbling over his words and cheeks dusting pink as soon as he sees you the new goddess of Tayvet. Just love the picture of Lyney getting all shy and nervous around you cause he's so taken aback by your beauty and kindness.

Ok so like picture this. You've been the goddess of Teyvat for like weeks now. You've already visited most of your favorites from Mondstadt, Liyue, Sumeru. So you're like "Furina I wanna visit Fontaine next" and she's super excited, starts planing out your entire schedule for your days there. And you say "I wanna see one of Lyney's famous magic shows :)" and she's like "Of course of course right after we see the trial of a double homicide we'll do that."

But like you would think its a bit rude to just show up to his show without introducing yourself first. So you send Lyney and his siblings a letter telling them in week you'll be in Fontaine seeing one of their shows and that you're going arrive early so you can introduce yourself before the show starts.

(I just love the mental image of the three siblings huddled around each other as Lyney reads off the letter whose sender is the goddess herself.)

So um next scene right. Lyney is fidgeting with putting his gloves on, his right hand a little shaky and his eyes obviously lost in thought. "Nervous?" his sister's voice startles him from his deep thoughts. "I haven't seen you this nervous before a show in many years. Its because she's going be in the audience isn't it?" Lynette bluntly points out. Lyney swiftly tries to regain his usual demur as he smoothly pulls the glove on his hand. "Of course not, I'm more concerned about Lady Furina. You know what happened the last time she was at one of our shows." And after Lynette drops the topic Lyney is low key wondering if he should double check his props, least he make a fool of himself in front of you.

As the minutes tic by you arrive early as promised. You insist Furina doesn't follow you backstage to greet the siblings with you, she dramatically sighs and tells you not to take too long.

And as your eyes meet the three siblings(as you insisted Freminet be there too) they immediately take a low bow before you. Your eyes bright and smile beaming at seeing them together for the first time.

"Its an honor to have you in attendance this evening ma dame" Lyney gracefully speaks first.

"There's no need to be so formal with me. Please call me Sarah." The smile on your face never leaving for a second as your eyes quickly bounce between Lyney and Lynette before saying "Wow you two really do look alike."

You don't forget about Freminet. Turning to him and patting his head gently. Causing poor little shy Freminet to lose his voice. "Ah I have a small gift for you Freminet." you tell him as you pull out a small gift box for the boy. "Open it." And as his shaky hands do its revealed to be a small doll automata. "You like it?" you smile back at him. But Freminet's heart is racing too quickly for him to process what is happening. He glances down at the doll then back at you and repeats this movement again and again. He can not comprehend how he was just handed a personalized gift from the goddess herself, let alone she just touched his head. His cheeks a bright red, he nods, keeping his gaze to the floor. "I'm glad." you say sweetly as you pat his head once more. Freminet continues to gaze at the doll as if he was just gifted a holy relic.

You greet Lynette with a short hug, arms around her shoulders. She doesn't dare push you away and the faintest pink blush on her cheeks is quite endearing to see. "We have to get together for tea sometime." You tell her. "There's still so many tea flavors in Teyvat I haven't tried yet. Promise me you'll brew me your favorite." And with a shy nod she agrees.

As Lyney sees you embrace his sister he assumes(no hopes) you'll do the same with him. And he's not disappointed when you turn to him and wrap him in a brief hug. His hand hovers close to your waist but decides against touching out of respect. When you pull away, but faces still close he gets a clear image of your eyes and oh wow he can see stars in them. Swirling colors of blues and violets mixing together he finds himself staring a little too long. You giggle. "Photos can't do you justice Lyney you're even more handsome in person." Lyney's eyes sparkle at your unexpected compliment, his heart skipping a beat. "Oh on the contrary mon cheri, I could have never have guessed such a stunning beauty was behind your letter." Lyney smoothly retorts, making you bashfully giggle again. And he wonders how many more times he can pull that reaction from you. Your conversation remains short but full of excitement. Lyney's eyes remain shamelessly transfixed on you.

You give the three one last sweet smile and a little wave goodbye before you turn to return to Furina, who is giving you the saddest puppy eyes saying "That took way too long."

Lynette, with her eyes in a rare soft daze looks at her hands before muttering "...She's nice." Lyney's gaze follows you as you descend the main stage back to an disappointed Furina. His heart racing from just this short interaction with you. If he had any doubts about the divine they were certainty gone by your kind presence. He becomes determined to learn more about you. A slight pink dusts his pale skin and his eyes remain locked on you as he speaks "When Sarah and Furina come backstage after the show we should invite them out to a meal with us."

Lynette's focus is now back on her brother. "What? Why would they do that?"

A mischievous glint shines in Lyney's eyes before he opens up his left palm to reveal a pearl earring.

Ah Lynette shouldn't expect any less of small trickery from her brother. She sighs "That was a bit unnecessary don't you think." And Lyney just laughs proud of himself.

At the end of the show when you and Furina are about to leave the opera house, of course you notice your beloved earring is missing. Furina dramatically gasps "Do you want me to order the staff to turn this whole place upside down for you your Grace?" "No no." You reassure her. "Let's just retrace our steps."

And you're very grateful when Lyney hands the earring back to you claiming to have spotted it on the ground after you walked away. His attention completely on you as soon as you came into view. "Thank you again Lyney, I'll try to see you again later this-"

"Would you like to join us for dinner tonight Sarah?" Lyney confidently asks without missing a beat. "To show our gratitude for attending our show."

Your gaze shifts to Lynette who shows no disagreement to her brother's proposal.

You agree and the four of you(as Furina refuses to leave your side until your head hits the pillow tonight) have a lavish five course meal at one of the most expensive cafes in the city. You try to spread your attention over the three of them equally, even encouraging Lynette to chime in as to not leave her out of the conversation. And as Furina dominates the conversation again you cant help but feel a set of eyes on you. In fact you've been feeling them on you all night. Its Lyney who not so sneakily can't help but be transfixed on you even when you're not the one speaking. Eyes soft and almost coy smile half hidden by him leaning on his hand.

As you mention you plan on spending time with Neuvillette, Lyney is secretly plotting on how to steal you away.

The confusion and sheer shock when you floated down to the ground nearly made you hide in a bush. 

"The mora's worth it... The mora's worth it." You whispered under your breath. "Ok maybe not." you muttered, flinching as one of the children in the distance gaped at you. The boy's eyes were so large that you would've sworn that they would pop out of their sockets and his mouth was wide enough to fit your fist. 

You smiled awkwardly, almost sprinting away from the kids and to the Angel's share.

"A berry & mint burst please." You winced slightly as pretty much all of the mora that you've scavenged was placed on the table.

"Well aren't you a new face." The bartender, Charles laughed heartily, "Would you like a sample of dandelion wine? It's our top-seller, considering that you're new, you can have it for free." The man poured a small cup, pushing it in front of you, ignoring your frantic waving.

"Th-thanks?"

"One berry & mint burst coming right up!" He slapped down on your shoulder, "Go and talk with the fellows at the back, they're very welcoming to new faces." He placed the drink in front of you, pointing towards the little crowd near the stairs.

You weren't going to lie, but the tavern in real life was biggggg, it was like triple the size of the tavern in game.

"You there!"

"H-huh? Me?" You were going to curse yourself for all the stuttering, like why the hell were you stuttering?

"Aren't you one of the guys that chased Stormterror away a few days ago?"

"Raye! Stop scaring the poor kid." The man was elbowed hardly by one of his mates. "Kiddo, are you even old enough to drink?"

"Uhhhh, what's the drinking age?"

"Eighteen duhhh. Did you seriously order without knowing the drinking age?!"

You looked down at the drink you were given, "Yeahhh, but uh- I am over eighteen."

The man gaped. "I thought that you were like- I dunno sixteen? No offense of course."

"By the way, that drunkard's name is Raye. She's Leila, that's Nelson, and I'm Jace. There's a lot more others here and coming but I can't remember their names on the top of my head. Come on, sit with us."

Jace forcefully pushed you down to one of the chairs, sensing no ill intent you didn't bother pushing him off. "I'm Y/N. Uhhh, I'm new here."

"Yeah, we can see that." Leila rolled her eyes, throwing a hand over your shoulder. "Girlie, lemme guess, you decided to visit the Angel's share for gossip? Or are you here for intel?" She dropped the last bit to a whisper.

Raye smacked her hands off you, "Leila!"

The woman shrugged, "What? That's all what the new faces recently do!"

"That's because they're all fatui diplomats!" He hissed.

"Oh wait. You aren't one of them? My bad guys, my baaaad." She slurred, a blush creeping onto her tanned face. You weren't going to lie, Leila was hella pretty for a drunkard.

"Um, she was right for a point, the deaconess, Barbara did mention that there was gossip in here and since I wanted to get familiar with the city I just came?" You took a sip of the drink, and damn it was good. Whilst the dandelion wine was bitter with a dash of sweetness, the berry and mint burst was refreshing with a burst of fruitiness and had a nice aroma.

"Barbara? Quite surprising that she even listens to all those people that fawn over her. She has a fair share of stalkers, had she not been the sister of the Grandmaster, those dirty rascals would've probably kidnapped her."

"Leila!"

"What? That's the truth."

Raye laughed nervously, "Anyways Y/N, you wanted to listen to goss- I mean the latest news of Mondstadt right?"

Leila blinked, her misty eyes regaining focus, "Oooooh. Did you guys know? One of the knights literally cheated on their wives with another knight? Oh and the guy they cheated with was also a-"

"Leila!" All three of them scrambled to slap a hand over her mouth.

"Uh." You smiled awkwardly.

"Let's- Let's talk about other things how 'bout that." Nelson grinned.

"Uh, uh Y/N, how you settling down? And HOLY SHIT IS THAT A FUCKING SLIME?" Jace screeched, toppling over.

"Oh, I forgot about him. He's Bob, a cryo slime." 

"Yeah, no shit." Leila's were literally gleaming, "Girlie, how the fuck did you tame it- I mean him. That's legit so fucking cool."

"I didn't, he just. Uh, maybe he's a friendly slime?"

Leila raised her brows, "Yeahhhh totalllyyy."

"Um, anyways. I've found a place near the Adventurer's guild and uh, I'm an adventurer but I kinda, need another job-"

"Because they pay shit." Leila finished.

"Yeah."

"Girl, before I was a treasure hoarder I was one of those adventurer's and let me tell you. That job is like. Eugh, it seems high paying but it isn't really worth it especially when there's literally sooooo many adventurers around and inflation's happening because of that stupid dragon. Like they told me that I was too weak for half of the special commissions and quests they hand out. Since you're new you probably don't know those terms." She took a deep breath.

"You see, special commissions are like basic commissions except they pay like wayyyy more depending on the commissioner and how dangerous it is or how complicated it is. Then there's those quests that are uh, well I myself haven't received any but according to my fellow treasure hoarders they are usually super time consuming or are super dangerous. Both of them don't have to be issued by the Adventurer's guild. If you ever receive any by the guild, go to the commissioner because the Adventurer's guild takes a cut as the middle man, I mean they need to make money righttt?"

The woman took another deep gulp of her- vodka?

"Wait, you're a treasure hoarder?!" 

Leila nodded, "Jace is also one. The others are just normal citizens. Don't worry, none of us snitch, no point in it when most of the knights are pretty much useless."

You nodded in agreement, those fucking cowards that landed your ass in prison were probably the most useless of them all.

"You know, if you're reallly in need of mora, you can do some uh, not so legal stuff." Jace added on.

"Like being a treasure hoarder?"

"You can if you want. But you know, most of us treasure hoarders have another job so that the knights won't come knocking on our door going 'WhY dO yOu HaVe MoRa?' , for example, I work in one of the restaurants near the cathedral." 

Leila side eyed him, "How helpful. I'm going to be a good person and tell you actual shit."

She pulled a map out from her sleeve, "You see the map? The red spots on there are where you can make big money. I go to those places when I don't get enough mora to feed my family."

Raye leaned forward, "There's an extra spot near the hotel aye?"

Leila sneered, "Those fatui diplomats created a new place, never knew that fatui take on side jobs. Hell, the knights don't even know that any of these places exist for some reason, and even if they did, they sure did nothing."

"I went to the new place y'know. The jobs there were mainly on gathering intel and random shit. Pretty murky stuff if ya askin me. I can bring you to the red spots in the city if you're interested in making money off things like that. Dangerous? Yeah. Big bucks? Yeah. If you don't wanna risk it, I've also heard that there's a new cafe place opening up near the city gates." Jace tapped on a few red spots that were obviously a bit lighter in colour, so you assumed that the places were highlighted a long time ago.

"You think it's possible for me to get a job in that cafe and another job from the red areas?" You asked. You were it great need of accessible mora but if you didn't have a job to put on the surface, you wouldn't be able to get out the mora you've gotten in game.

Leila nodded, "I can bring you there whenever. I'm free for this entire week, just find me in the bar eh? If for some reason that I'm not here, find Jace. There's loads of scams in those red areas, if Raye or Nelson brings you there you might be stuck working for a contractor that gives nothing."

"Thanks Leila."

The woman nodded, "Leave your glass, Charles will tidy it up."

You stood up. "See ya'll soon then."

"Toodles."

"Bye."

"Nice meetin' ya and the slime."

"May Barbatos be with you."

You chuckled softly, Mondstadt was truly a lot more different in real life than you had expected. Mondstadt definitely would be a breeding ground for murky businesses had it not been for the vision holders and people that actually do their duties. 

"I wonder what the other nations would be like..." If Mondstadt's flaws were this obvious, it's no doubt that the other nations would have much larger potential dangers as Mondstadt is literally the starting ground for all newbie players. 

Liyue shouldn't be dangerous as long as it was in the harbour, but the outside would be unknown. Yes they had the adepti but you wouldn't exactly bet your luck on them. You shuddered at the mere thought of Sumeru and Inazuma.

Theory: Kaeya's Mom is a Scion of Nabu Malikata

you know it's funny how we've gotten zero information about the other half of kaeya's family… unless??

warning: slight crack

Kaeya: According to the merchant I bought it from, mysterious spirits called Jinn often live in lamps like this, and this lamp in particular once housed a very powerful Jinni.

in kaeya's hangout, we are gifted a mysterious lamp. kaeya says the merchant who sold it to him claims it once housed a powerful jinni. this lamp is called Mysterious Lamp of Fate Ordained. (remember this.) kaeya then explains what the jinn are as if he just discovered brand new information which is odd because kaeya has told klee a story about a jinni trapped in a lamp before.

aforementioned story is a reference to the story of The Fisherman and the Jinni from One Thousand and One Nights and also to the in-game book The Shepard and the Magic Bottle, a four star quest item that permanently stays in your inventory.

both stories concern a jinni being freed from a magic bottle upon which they grant three wishes. curiously, kaeya uses the last wish of the in-real-life story instead of the game's. in his version, the jinni gets trapped, in the book of the game, the jinni stays freed.

Kaeya: He said to the Jinni, "Wait, how could your massive body fit inside such a small bottle? I won't ever believe it unless I see with my own eyes!" The Jinni became angry, and said, "Mwahaha. Foolish boy, you dare question my powers!?" The Jinni then returned inside the bottle and the boy swiftly sealed it shut.

The Shepard and the Jinni The young man hesitated for a moment, and asked the last question. "What's it like to live in a bottle?" Seemingly having never heard of such a question before, the spirit was slightly surprised before she answered slowly.

strangely enough, it's not the first time kaeya has been connected to lamps. in the furniture description for Trusty Portable Lamp he went around telling children that the souls of fireflies are trapped inside lamps.

No thanks to the Cavalry Captain's jests, a rather morbid children's tale exists in Mondstadt concerning these lamps. The nuns have had to explain to the kids that no, these lanterns do not contain the imprisoned souls of fireflies.

furthermore, his ascension material is The Spirit Locket of Boreas. probably just another coincidence but nothing can ever be taken for granted when it involves this guy. perhaps all of these strange associations with imprisoned spirits is foreshadowing something bigger, who knows.

still, in the context of his hangout, kaeya's gift being a lamp is actually pretty random compared to gifts of other companions.

so i started thinking, the play and the intaglio showed us his ties to the alberich clan while the other routes showed his ties to mondstadt so it stands to reason that we should have hints towards the unknown maternal side of his family right? could this be the lamp?

before we dive into crack territory let me explain what the jinn are first. they're spirits born from night-blue water lilies that were nourished by nabu malikata's blood. jinn can take the appearance of blobs like dori's spirit or that of humans, and they can even reproduce with them as seen with everyone's most behated lamp, liloupar.

we have no idea how kaeya seemingly dodged the curse but what if he was blessed by a jinni? maybe someone made a contract with a jinni and this is how he's able to age normally. it could even be connected to his lucky coin that can land on any side he wishes. if guoba can be a stove god, it's not too far-fetched to think the coin could house some kind of spirit.

Kaeya: Of course, this whole arrangement hinges on a preexisting amount of trust between the two of us. I can't just get any strange coins to listen to me.

also, liloupar said something interesting about jinn being able to take someone's pain away from them:

Jeht: Can Jinn feel pain too? Liloupar: The Jinn have little need for a vessel, and even less need for senses. But should we begin to connect with others… Then we will take from them their pain… Even should we not comprehend the source of it.

who knows, perhaps this could even extend to a curse.

moving on to the good stuff:

these tcg cards show an unknown woman wearing the Vourukasha's Glow artifact set that is associated with nabu malikata. her outfit resembles nilou's outfit, which is modeled after nabu malikata's, but is noticeably lacking the horns nabu malikata was said to have.

the description for this card is Scions of Khvarena, which means that this lady is most likely just a follower or heir of nabu malikata.

(however, columbina, who is very likely to be a seelie survivor like nabu malikata, has bits of dark pink hair and is also lacking the horns, meaning we can't exactly determine that this woman isn't nabu malikata.)

in any case, the loading screen for khvarena is also called Scions of the Khvarena and it tells us something interesting: that khvarena can dwell inside humans.

Scions of the Khvarena Thanks to the nourishment of the Amrita, the Khvarena split apart to manifest countless forms. Some can find themselves dwelling within individual humans, while others might develop an awareness of their own…

khvarena are spirits that can purify abyssal corruption. they were created by nabu malikata. another interesting bit of trivia is that khvarena used to be localized as Soul Light.

taking a gander here but what if this lady and other human heirs of the khvarena are people who have the khvarena inside of them? i have actually speculated about this before that kaeya's mother might have had khvarena inside of her which ended up neutralizing or suppressing kaeya's curse.

you see, khvarena can reverse the effects of the abyss. and it was said that the oasis could cure all ills. though i should add, it probably isn't very effective on khaenri'ahns who are already cursed, as we've seen with dainsleif who was actually there recovering at the amrita pool but is still zombified.

(khvarena is green energy, and what i found curious is that the lamp kaeya gives you actually emits green smoke when you touch it. kaeya's favorite drink is death after noon, which is green due to the absinthe within. in literature, absinthe is known as The Green Fairy...)

to me, the most intriguing part is that khvarena is based on khvarenah, the divine royal glory.

Khvarenah is an Avestan word for a Zoroastrian concept literally denoting "glory" or "splendour" but understood as a divine mystical force or power projected upon and aiding the appointed. The neuter noun thus also connotes "(divine) royal glory", reflecting the perceived divine empowerment of kings. The term also carries a secondary meaning of "(good) fortune"; those who possess it are able to complete their mission or function.

when you read this, does it not remind you of kaeya's character? we all know by now that kaeya is associated with nobility/royalty, and good fortune (with his lucky coin and some of his dialogue).

Mona: Kaeya Alberich? He's a Pavo Ocellus. Destined for greatness and grandeur… and to hide ugly realities behind a layer of charm and elegance. He believes he has made a clean break with his past, but one day fate will catch up with him. When it does, he will have a major decision to make.

we don't know what kaeya's name is derived from, but it could be from the legendary Kayanians, who were also said to possess khvarenah!

anyway, back to the scions, i think it's possible that the following tribes are the scions of khvarena.

The matriarchs of the Tanit, Uzza, Shimti, and other tribes besides all refer to themselves as "Daughters of the Flower Goddess."

the Flower Goddess is nabu malikata who also calls the khvarena daughter of flowers, meaning these tribes are very likely to be the scions.

"My Khvarena, daughter of flowers…"

and like the lady on the card, matriarch babel of the tanit tribe has light pink hair.

(though, as a reminder, unbeknownst to her, babel was not actually born into the tanit tribe so we can't use her as a reference as she most likely did not have the blessing of khvarena, which is what i suspect is the reason she had to use poor JEHT.)

unfortunately, there's zero information about the other two tribes but shimti caught my eye here.

Ashima was a West Semitic goddess of fate related to the Akkadian goddess Shimti ("fate"), who was a goddess in her own right but also a title of other goddesses such as Damkina and Ishtar.

like they'd do things to get you to like them more then the other

kaeya was always really smug if you liked what he got you and would rub it in diluc's face

and then diluc would of course try to out do kaeya's gift

id like to think that this little rivalry wouldn't go away as they grew up

the two of them would still continue to try to win your favour

despite you telling them over and over that you don't have a favourite sibling and that you love both equally they would not listen

however being the youngest does mean they'll still be protective

if you were to ever get hurt the two of them would be livid

they don't cooperate often but when it comes to your safety they put aside their issues

when it comes to relationships the two of them are equally protective

to them no one is good enough for their beloved sibling

however if you truly love someone they wouldn't say anything

but if they hurt you

barbatos have mercy on that person (i mean they hurt you so I don't think they need mercy)

but the chances of that happening are very low

everyone in mondstadt know how much those two care about you and no ones dumb enough to make two of the strongest people in mondstadt angry

The Dance of Death.

“ i knew when i met that man that he was trouble, and when i set foot on that ballroom floor…i knew this would be the day that i would die and take my final bow… ”

Context : A ballroom dancer, Y/n, who had a temper but was still respectful towards others had left her hometown just to find out that her whole family would soon be found dead 

TW : Blood, death, fem! Reader and little dialogue. (This is also kind of a venting mechanism for me because a lot of the things in this except for the death I have gone through so don’t mind that lol)

A/n : I have been living in angst lately  and I needed this so yeah, I hope you like it ^^

Y/n, a 23 year old who was a ballet and ballroom dancer lived in Mondstadt near her parents for years. She had been dancing for seven years professionally and had started at the age of eleven. People had loved and adored her. She was pretty, smart, kind but also had her temper to keep everyone on their toes. Though, she had never wanted a relationship. She went through a terrible time with a toxic boy from Liyue who had come to visit his friends. All he wanted from her was money and fame. After that, she had hated the concept of love entirely, until she moved away from her parents to go to Fontaine, the land of justice and judgment, as the locals would say. She was excited to get away and go somewhere else for once. She had always lived in Mondstadt, after all, her parents grew up there and never left that town. Y/n, on the other hand, had wanted to explore the world and meet new people, not the same faces everyday. A change was all she needed these days. And so she got that change. 

Y/n went to Fontaine and permanently moved after the first couple days of staying there. She loved the place and wanted to leave her comfort zone for once. She wanted to be a free spirit and just wanted to do what she loved, dancing. And that’s what she did…until her parents were found dead. She had only just gotten to Fontaine, and now was on her way back to her hometown with three new friends: Navia, Wriothesley and Sigewinne. They ran into Y/n while she was out sight seeing around Fontaine. And when they got back to Mondstadt, all eyes were on the dancer. No one dare spoke a word to her, they only glanced and looked her way.

“Y/n…we are so sorry about your losses, after all they were amazing people and they were your family.” The only man that would speak to her at the moment was the closest family friend, Alexander. Though, instead of seeing him, she was looking down at the ground with clouded vision from her tears. She could feel Navia patting her back as a way to comfort her while Sigewinne was hugging Y/n to the best of her abilities. She knew that she would have to visit her family’s grave, and she was dreading it. Y/n never liked it when she showed vulnerability, so when she got to the grave alone, she screamed and sobbed. So loud that even the three could hear her crystal clear. Soon after, Y/n came back, they all knew she wanted to go home. So, when they arrived back at Fontaine l, she went straight to dancing to get her mind off of everything that was happening around her. Especially her self debt after she knew what she had done.

And then days later, Wriothesley invited her to a ball. And she had accepted. Now, she had been to a ball before but, it had been a long time. So, the day came along. And when she got to the location, she already knew her judgment had been looked through and her parents would soon be served justice in under three hours. Then she saw  Wriothesley in the middle of the ballroom, holding his hand out to Y/n. And she knew that her death would have been casted upon her as soon as this dance was done. As she took his hand into hers, she looked up at the male and as they started to dance, Y/n started to cry. Then the last measure of the music came up, Wriothesley had let go of Y/n’s hand and merged in with the crowd that stood away from her. And as the last note was played, she paused. And with a soft whisper only Wriothesley could hear, she said…

“I’m so sorry…my dear.”

And with that, she rose her hand to the chandelier. Then it crashed down on the ballroom dancer, killing her while finishing her final dance. Little did Wriothesley know, he was crying after the beautiful, lighted object fell on Y/n. Leaving him to wonder why she would ever kill her parents, the ones that saved Mondstadt.

“You know, you kind of remind me of something.” Aether places a finger on his bottom lip.

“Dummy! Paimon knows they both look like the statues in Mondstadt!” the fairy yells at the boy. She smiles proudly and crosses her arms.

You and Lumi fall silent at that. She blinks twice, a clear symbol for, 'Should we tell him?' The moment you blinked back at her, the decision was made.

“So, Aether. You travel around different worlds right?” Lumi starts off casually.

He nods warily, having no recollection of telling her such things.

“Well then, you gotta have heard of different dimensions.”

Aether looks at you with a questioning arch of his brow. Nodding in support of your doppelganger friend, he brings his attention back to Lumi.

“I’m aware of the dimensions, although I have yet to travel between them. For now, I only travel from star to star.”

“Well, when I woke up in this world- the both of us” Lumi gestures her hands toward you. “We were called imposters and chased out. That’s when we realized that there was someone else that’s similar to us.”

Aether's eyes slightly widen but he beckons for Lumi to continue.

“So in our world, we're called Y/n, but it seems like our world has different dimensions. And the three of us were sent here…. do you get it?”

Aether nods while Paimon aggressively shakes her head.

“Wait, so you're telling Paimon that both you, and another person were sent here from a different world, from different dimensions? And everyone here thinks that you both are fakes?”

You suppress a smile as Lumi’s right eye twitches. She had repeated everything Lumi had said, as if the way Lumi had said it was as comprehensible as trying to understand a foreign language. In-game Paimon had a knack for repeating everything that was going on. You guess it wasn’t different for the Paimon here either.

“Yes. Thank you for summarizing my words.” Lumi commented dryly.

“No problem!” Paimon smiles, completely ignoring the passive aggressiveness of her words.

“So, the problem is that we are very similar to the god that’s worshiped here. Heck, we even might be the god. But the other Y/n got here first, and now everyone worships her.” you add.

“Then what’s the problem?” Aether questioned, crossing his arms.

“Well, she ordered for us to be killed off.” you say, crossing your arms. “Very rude of her I’d say.”

“K-killed?!” Paimon exclaimed, in her high-pitched voice.

“How come we hadn’t heard of this?” Aether complains.

“Maybe because Mondstadt was too busy with the storm terror issue,” Paimon concludes. 

 “Heh, I’m glad you weren't aware. If you did, our meeting would have turned out a lot differently,” Lumi mutters.

“Why does she want to kill you? Can’t you all work it out?” the male inquires.

“It could either be that she doesn’t have gold blood, so she wants to get rid of us, or she just doesn’t want the competition.”

"Gold blood signifies being a god or whatever." Lumi whispers to Paimon, who seemed to have lost track of the conversation.

“Wait a minute! Didn’t Dvalin say that the whole of Teyvat was oblivious to the obvious? Could he have meant that…?” Paimon squeaks.

“Could be, Dvalin said something about teaching somebody a lesson before he left,” you tell them.

Aether gasps. “Well, this means you could convince Venti! He seemed really worried before I left Mondstadt.”

“I don’t want to go back to the city of freedom for now. Let’s just focus on Liyue.” you say glumly, recalling your hostile welcome to the place.

The four of you continue your adventure in silence, each person having burning questions in their head.

You soon arrive near Wangshu Inn, trying to figure out how to attract the conjurer of demons.

“We have to make almond tofu first,” you comment as you eye Paimon yelling out Xiao’s name.

“You know how to make it?” Paimon smiles.

“Yes, we just need almonds and milk. And this isn’t for you, Paimon.”

“Awww… Maybe you could make a tiny portion for me on the side?” 

“Maybe.”

“Maybe? How about-” Paimon’s eyes widen. “Y/n, behind you!!!!”

You feel Aether pull you back as he pulls out his sword.

“You dare copy the face of the divine one?”

You didn’t need to even turn around to know who was there.

The conqueror of demons had arrived.

“Can we talk this out?” Lumi asks the Adeptus.

The jade spear glinted dangerously as he raised it, clearly aiming at her head. 

”Please we can explain ourselves! She has proof!” Lumi points at you.

Xiao runs his caramel eyes over you. You can literally feel the amount of disdain he sends your way with his icy glare.

“Okay then, show me,” he says, lowering his spear.

Lumi raises her eyebrows in shock, she hadn’t expected him to be convinced so easily.

You eye your finger, the one Albedo had pricked just a few days ago. It had a golden scab forming on it. You really didn’t want to mess with it. You halfheartedly raise your wounded hand, showing off the thin cut.

He scoffs. “That is your proof? I don’t believe it.” 

Annoyed with your obvious and last choice, you quickly pick at the scab reopening it, and erasing the effort your finger went through to repair its skin. 

The golden liquid which you called blood faithfully seeps out.

“Eeek! You actually have-!” Paimon squeals. Aether gasps and takes a step back.

You and Lumi keep your eyes on the Adeptus.

He was silent, for a moment, before he whispered, “I knew it.”

“You knew what?” you question.

“That the one I had once called my god was a fake. She had been so mad the first-”

“You what…?” Lumi asks.

“I knew she was a fake,” he repeats. “When I first met her, the first thing she told me was to leave and never come back. She said something about me 'ruining her pity'. I know that the real creator would never say such things.” he crosses his arms attempting to mask his hurt from the imposter's words.

The ‘creator’ was really digging her own grave. 

Lumi continues to question Xiao, but Aether drags you away.

“All right. What else have you been hiding from us?” he demandingly inquires, then he pulls out a slim bandage from his bag.

You smile. “I can run really fast. And it takes longer for me to get tired. Hillichurls and slimes don’t bother me, and rain doesn’t-”

“Hillichurls and slimes don’t bother you?!” Paimon floats around in excitement. “Can you get some of the meat they roast on those campfires? Paimon really wants to try tasting them.”

“I guess.” 

“Paimon, you realize the meat they cook might be flavorless. They don’t have salt or herbs.” Aether points out as he tends to your wounded finger. He earns a glare from the mini-floating thing.

“Meat is meat.” She states.

“Thank you,” you tell the traveler, and he responds by blushing slightly and looking away.

You feel Lumi tap your shoulder.

“Guess what?! No, let me tell you. I just got Xiao to join our side!!” She squeaks.

“Let me be clear, I serve her grace, and her grace only. I have yet to see your proof,” Xiao sneaks up behind you guys, earning another squeak from Lumi, only a more terrified one.

“Hmph, believe what you want to believe,” She mutters, rolling her eyes.

“So Lumi, whose next?” you ask the h/c haired girl.

“Xiangling.” Lumi quickly says.

You narrow your eyes. “You just want to have a taste of her food, don’t you? You’re no better than Paimon,” you accuse her. “...But, I’d be lying if I said that was a bad idea.”

“Well then, let’s go!” Lumi declares, with Paimon and Aether cheering along.

“Are you three dumb or stupid? We can’t let her grace walk into the public like this.” Xiao hisses.

The trio looks down in shame.

The Adeptus sighs. “Luckily I brought a cape. And I also got one for you as well,” he tells Lumi.

“When?” you ask. You hadn’t noticed him leave at all.

“I can teleport, your grace,” 

“Oh, that’s right,” you recall.

Xiao lays out the two black capes on the grassy field before them.

“Eww. No way am I going to put on that dusty piece of cloth.” Lumi complains.

“Then don’t.”

To be fair, the capes were severely worn down. There were holes and gaps in places that were not there when it was first worn. You could even see a hint of scarlet standing out on the dark fabric.

“I’ll wear it,” you say. It wasn’t that horrible, and what other option did you have?

“But what will you wear?” you ask your twin, choosing to ignore the way Xiao’s face slightly lit up when you chose to wear his cape.

“I doubt if this will help, but I grabbed this straw hat from some treasure hoarder back during my travels. It’s pretty big, so I think it will cover your face.” Aether suggests, rummaging through a bag, which you now guessed was his inventory. How else could he fit a hat in there? You gave yourself a mental note to ask him how he got that bag.

“Aha!” he exclaims, as he brought the yellow hat out.

“Thanks!” Lumi takes the hat and places it on top of her head. The fit was perfect- perfect as in it was big enough to cover her face completely. “The straw keeps on stabbing my forehead. And it smells of treasure hoarder sweat. But I’ll survive.” she comments.

“Geez, you’re pickier than Paimon,” Aether grumbles under his breath.

“Hey, I heard that!” The girl and the fairy yelled out.

In the end, the group decided to split up. One group was going to seek help from Xiangling, and the other was going to find Chongyun.

You ended up going with Xiao, since he refused to leave your side, and Lumi went with Aether and Paimon. You were kind of thankful to be able to travel with Xiao. Not only was he extremely attractive, but he could also teleport.

Speaking of teleporting, the only way you could describe it was as weird. You couldn’t see anything during the process, due to the light blinding your eyes, but, what felt weird was how your surroundings changed in a blink of an eye. The temperature changed slightly, the lighting changed, and even the elevation changed. All of it was enough to make you wobble and grab onto Xiao, feeling very disoriented, and he gratefully gave you his shoulder for support.

“Welcome to the Wangmin Restaurant, Adeptus Xiao!” A cheerful voice greeted. “Oh, and you also brought a friend!”

You eye your surroundings, and thankfully the restaurant was empty.

“I’d like to take your orders, but I have to take these dishes away first.”

You feel your cape gets tugged on, and you grab onto it tightly around your head in response.

“Guoba, get off the customer.” Xiangling scolds, but she couldn’t do anything at the moment. She was still holding the used platter. “I’m sorry about my friend, he usually acts calm. I guess he's taken a liking towards you.” 

You try to get the mini god off of you, but it was no use. The stubborn panda(?) was hugging onto your hood like if he were to let go, he would perish or something.

The creature let out some sort of sound. And for some reason you knew what he said.

“Welcome back, your grace.”

Your grip on your cape loosened as your mouth gaped in shock.

So the reason for me being gone for a long time was because I had a test. Then I kinda lost motivation for writing. And then, I may have forgotten the existence of this account....

A good title

Tw: Stalking and talks about what to do with a dead body.

Teyvat university, a very popular college that is hard to get into. Luckily for you your aunt goes there and got you in somehow. Don’t know how but she did. You’ve been in Teyvat Uni for a week or two and noticed a few things.

The Mondstadt building was the green colored one. That was also surrounded by many flowers. But had many short people and a dorm leader who drinks……weed wine. The Liyue building was a gold like color that many others thought only the richest people could be there. But alas they had a dorm leader who doesn’t want to be dorm leader. The Inazuma building was purple but was know to be the strictest building of all the dorms. It always seems like they’re at war with the dorm leader. Sometimes people would walk in the building just to see people behind cardboard walls with nerf guns. The Sumeru one was really pretty it was green also but the only difference was the Sumeru building had more flowers then Mondstadt. They were known to have the smartest people in all of Teyvat University.

That’s what you noticed about the buildings the students however. All you can say about them is there’s a verity of different personalities. Like a short purple haired dog and a pair of twins that were separated but found each other on a bus. 

The twins were your friends along with a few others. You walked out of your dorm to see a very smiley Aether. As soon as you opened the door he jumped on you to hug you. 

“Good morning Aether. How are you doing?” You ask as he got off so you could grab you bag. He started to say how Lumine was getting on him about eating her donuts. You nodded as you walk down the dorm hallway. 

“When I told her it was probably Paimon she said Paimon doesn’t eat that kind of donuts!” He slightly yelled in annoyance about his adoptive sister paimon who’s 5 years old. You know paimon goes to the Teyvat daycare across the street and visits the twins every so often. Which is cute to you because she’s all happy when she sees you. 

As you two talked your phone went off with a loud sound. Taking the loud device out of your bag you saw that the caller ID has been the same one that has called you for sometime. You know you should’ve blocked the number but you kept forgetting. The weird thing about the calls is it happens every month.

“Hm? Who’s that?” Aether asks as he tries to see who it was. Quickly putting the phone back away so you could face Aether. You smiled softly at him which caused a small blush to appear on his face. 

“It’s nothing, just a spam call.” He just nodded. The two of you were getting close to the main building where the classes took place. While you two were walking someone called out to you. 

“Hey! Aether! Y/n!” A loud feminine voice called out causing you both to turn around. You saw your three friends. Venti, the dorm leader of Mondstadt, Kazuha, one of the people who doesn’t go to war in Inazuma, and albedo, who is another person from mondstadt. 

“Hello! You two ready for class?” You ask not noticing that Aether went deadly quiet. He stood behind you so you wouldn’t see his glare at Kazuha. After all of you were done talking it was class time. 

It was now lunch time and you had an hour to spar. Deciding that you were gonna go talk with Kazuha. Fun Fact! You had developed a crush on him. It’s a sad thing that you didn’t realize a few other peoples crush on you though. 

So you called Kazuha an told him if he wanted to hang out with you. He said yes and you were really happy. 

During the hangout with the quiet boy a few others joined in. Those being Venti, Aether, Xiao and Amber. While you were talking with the five you got a call from the same number from this morning. Suddenly you got an idea. 

“Hey guys,” you called out causing everyone to be quiet. “Do you want to traumatize a random scammer?” Everyone’s eyes sparkled with that idea but Xiao quickly asked “How are we going to do that?”

“Pretend where in a cult! The Demonic core cult! Imma call the scammer who’s been calling me while you guys pretend to have killed somebody.” After you said that they all agreed and with that you began to start the call. 

“Hello, thank you for calling the Demon core cult. Sadly you called at the wrong time.” You spoke with a gentle voice while the phone was on speaker. 

“Did you hide the body?” Aether asked Venti who was drinking some apple juice. “No, I thought Sam did.” He said while looking at Xiao. The teal haired man looked at him in shock. 

“Of course I didn’t hid the body! The corpse is still here!” Xiao yelled at Venti who shrugged in response. 

“We can ask Milly to do it.” Aether spoke up and every one looked at amber who was trying not to laugh. 

“Nah, Milly is taking a break for a while.” Venti spoke up still drink apple juice. 

“SO WHOS GONNA HIDE THE BODY! I KNEW SACRIFICING SOMEONE RIGHT NOW WAS A BAD IDEA!” Aether yelled out in fake anger. Kazuha decided to talk with a quiet voice. 

“Hey boss, what should we do with the dead body?” Kazuha asked you while everyone was screaming in the background about what to do with the fake dead body.

“Get Jermey he’s the one that does it anyways. So sorry but you called at the wrong time Good Bye!” With that you ended the call then the group became silent. Only to burst in laughter seconds later. Even Xiao was smiling a little. 

The caller though? He’s not one bit surprised he knew that would be something you would do. He’s been following you for a while now only getting the idea to call you after he got your number. 

He’s happy that you answered and not ignored the call. But very annoyed that there were other people with you and not you alone. 

Maybe he would get the courage to finally talk to you. You guys do have the same math class.
