listening to "i can't help but wonder" and sobbing profusely over telemachus' hope being that his father will be able to connect with him, that they'll somehow be able to bond despite the years away, telemachus wanting his father to know that even if it's a struggle, he wants to know his father and see how similar they are. telemachus just hoping for a chance, because he knows his father has missed his mother, it's silly to think otherwise, but he believes that there will be a struggle for his father to connect with him.

meanwhile, odysseus literally has not stopped thinking about his son in the twenty years he's been gone. penelope and telemachus have been the only things on his mind, the only people that have gotten him through the war and every single struggle he's gone through. the fact that some of odysseus' first words to his son are "oh my boy, sweetest joy i've known" because despite the fact that the last time he saw his son, the fact that he was just a baby, and even though he's grown, despite the time lost between them, odysseus wants his boy to know that he is his entire world, that he loves him more than anything.

just telemachus being so hesitant and hopeful, and odysseus not even doubting for a second how much he loves his son and wants to hold him in his arms.

Happy 1st Anniversary, 30th Music Fest!!!

This concert was probably the happiest day of my life, and it’s far too special to me not to show a little love on the anniversary!

I remember the anticipation I had felt for months after the event was announced, wondering and speculating what could possibly happen in this concert! I was by far looking forward to music from Star Allies the most, since I’d listened to the 25th Concert/Memorial Arrangements album for years and imagining what songs from that game could sound like in a concert. So i screamed my head off when they opened “Beyond the 25th Anniversary” with the Star Allies theme, and cried my eyes out during the STAR CONQUERING TRAVELER 7 MINUTE LONG SUITE?? It was mind blowing. There were way too many moments I burst into tears and/or screamed actually. I’m pretty sure a lot of us did. Hearing songs like Northeast Frost Street, Candy Mountain, Iceberg, the Knight’s themes, City Trial, Fly Kirby, Soul of Sectonia, Green Tree Memories, WELCOME TO THE NEW WORLD?? WITH THE NEICHEL REVEAL?? It’s still just as amazing to me as the first time I watched it and I’ll keep watching forever probably

I want to talk about this one scene super quick because oh my gosh the communication between these two is absolutely TOP TIER

First off, while I saw Fizz look back at Asmodeus in this particular sequence, I didn't realize until now that Asmodeus actually looked BACK at him. Fizz immediately understands and goes to be next to him.

These two then share another glance as Ozzie slows down for the "In the" part of the song, as Fizz catches on, leading on to the gorgeous harmony.

All of this is completely improv, and I know they basically are communicating like this the entire song, but I feel this scene is where their in-depth understanding of each other really shines through.

Also, a lot of people comment on how they see Fizz constantly looking at Ozzie throughout the number, but what we don't realize at first (thanks to his pupil-less eyes) is that Ozzie looks at Fizz quite a lot too.

Anyway, whether in a relationship or not, these two have literally the best communication I've ever seen in an animated TV show. (**cough**probably why they're such a good foil for Stolitz**cough)
