After @randomationality mentioned Starscream getting thrown around often here, I remembered him being shiny for the first few episodes and decided to do some digging and figure out exactly when he lost the shine.

In Episode 1, while Megatron is still gone, Starscream’s chest has a very prominent shine.

Then again, Episode 2, Megatron returns and he is very shiny.

In Episode 3 he’s not as shiny as earlier (possibly due to the lighting, possibly due to offscreen Megatron) but we do see the glow of his weapon reflecting on his chest.

Same for Ep4, continuation of the Fowler scene. But at the end of Episode 4, Megatron beats Starscream on camera for the first time. And when you watch Episode 5,,,

You can clearly see he’s lost the shine. The same lighting is hitting both of them and while it reflects from Megatron, it doesn’t from Starscream.

Worth noting that Ep 6 does give him back a bit of shine, he never quite recovers to the same degree as the first few episodes. I stopped watching carefully after that point. Make of this what you will. The animators tweaking his design after the first few episodes, or an intentional change to show Megs’ abuse.

First of all, I love your DeceptiBee au. That's all I needed to lift my spirits.

I imagine Bee going to Megatron and asking him to let him go to Iacon to meet with Orion and Elita, because of some celebratory party or something and him using the "Elita ordered" card and Megs accepting because you know how she is (and because he wants to see Bee happy)

Perhaps encounters like this will endear Bee to the Autobots and things get more serious when (As you imagined) Bee gets hurt in the middle of the fight and both sides stop to help him

I actually have this idea, near the end of the story, of Bee convincing Megatron to properly *try* some sort of peace conference with the Autobots/Optimus. It would consist of a lot of planning between Bee and Elita (give or take a few others) to create a neutral zone on the surface outside of Iacon where the Autobots and Decepticons can formerly discuss policies for running Cybertron. Bee mainly wants to get this going so he can reunite his friend group and prevent the civil war from reaching the point-of-no-return. Elita does too, but she also wants to reunite the government with some people who remember what Cybertron was like before Sentinel

Megatron has mixed feelings about doing this. Basically his entire high command wants some sort of complete upheaval and reconstruction of Cybertron to be this militaristic dictatorship (Basically the Primacy before Sentinel, they’re kinda stuck in the past). To put it short, the Decepticons WANT war. Megatron, on the other hand, has gotten really into this Socialism-ish idea he has but doesn’t think Optmius The Prime would agree with. Mainly because it would mean the people have all the power and the Prime would play a much smaller role as a kinda oracle/general priest figure.

Little does Megatron know, Optimus would be totally down for this.

After several shenanigans, Bee and Elita eventually get Autobot and Decepticon high command together in a room.

The Decepticons expected something like a whole council of mini-Sentinels using the new Prime as a puppet king. They get a bunch of young hyperactive ex-miners who take any change at showing off their new T-cog powers.

The Autobots expect some kind of murder-happy caveman gang that D-16 Megatron found in a landfill. They get a bunch of socially-stunted old cunts who keep asking them weird questions like “How old are you?” and “Are you even qualified for you position?”

The Decepticons also keep challenging the Autobots to physical brawls over honor. The Decepticons seem to have underestimated the kind of body strength required to be underestimated miner.

Elita, Starscream, Soundwave, Prowl, and very few others seem to be taking the political side of this meeting seriously. They huddle in a corner coordinating reunion/war. Elita looks like she’s going to tackle Starscream at any given moment.

Meanwhile on the opposite corner, Bee is entirely focused on getting Optimus and Megatron to have a normal social interaction. It’s… not really working. Optmius and Megatron keep referring to things Bee wasn’t around for, and keep doing having silent conversation through looks alone. Bumblebee has to accept in this moment that he’s done all he can, and now it’s up to Megatron / Optimus to sort things out.

For a happy ending, they would! Optimus would eagerly listen to all of Megatron’s ideas, what he’s learned from commanding an army and how to take charge. Megatron would be surprised by how open Optimus is too stepping down as a sole leader, and the strides Optimus has taken to reshaping Iacon. Maybe they haven’t worked things out as friends, but they agree they can set aside differences for Cybertron.

At this moment a bar fight would start between Elita and Starscream, and they’d have to go deal with that.

But I won’t deny that things could go wrong here. Maybe this is the real final straw, and from this meeting on Cybertron begins its decent into ruin. But that kinda story is for someone else to explore! I wanna make my fun divorce resolution :)

ೃ࿐ STRONG WAVES FELT, LOVE?

The sun envelopes his body as your presence is no longer near, leaving a hallow emptiness beside him physically and the slight strain he feels from the distance.

His eyes compose from the bright shine from above, hand shading his face as he focus on the sight ahead. Your body knee’s deep into the water that flows through, soft waves creating a deep comfort of sound as his eyes meet yours. Your soft smile causing the boy to fall in deeper, the heat that creeps up must be from the sun, right?

Hiss huff is one of need, his body feels glued to the towel but you’re calling out to him, even if he told you he wouldn’t go into the water with you, he knew damn well that he would if you insisted.

The walk towards you makes him feel as if all eyes are on him, but he knows your gaze is the reason why.

From length of time, it has felt as though megumi and you have been intertwined. The so called attitude of his with others is a complete stranger when he’s with you. It’s always been known, causing him to get frustrated when others ahem gojo, bring up the relationship you two share.

When you two actually become a couple though, the teasing gets so much more worse.

As he embarks from his thoughts, your hand wrap around his and he melts into you immediately. Well, until you grin and splash him with water.

“Hey!”

He returns back to the megumi you love to you with as you leap away enjoying the playful behavior you introduce. Megumi will never admit it, but you seeing this side of him is what he wants. So he can allow you to see all of him without any facade and just him in the open love he holds for you.

ೃ࿐ ICE CREAM DELIGHTS, OR YOU?

“Cmon Meg, you can’t just pass up on this amazing opportunity!”

He huffs as his brain shatters with ponds of emotion, your eyes shining with delight as they gaze into him like he’s the only person in sight.

He recalls the months past of when that look of yours would make him look away, avoiding your gaze with annoyance. Not towards you, but his feelings circulating as they continued to grow.

“Love is…a fury of emotions and must be handled with care.”

He thinks back to what gojo had told him, noticing the trinket that was of megumis gaze of avoidance. He’s been distracted more so recently, he must be bottling up his feelings.

His focus is brought back to reality, when you press the cold ice cream to his lips. He backs up shuddering at the unexpected sensation which leaves you to laugh as you tease him.

“The hell was that for?”

“For you being spaced out while we’re on a date. You have no manners you know.”

You brush him off with annoyance for his absence in the moment, though he can’t help. Not when his mind and heart are racing at miles per hour. He licks his lips to taste the flavor of vanilla on his lips, though sweets are not his usual, vanilla is a flavor he can bear.

He sees you look off into the distance, the ocean not that far as you bask in the slight breeze from the day. A nice chance from all the heat recently that has not been enjoyable for megumi.

The silence is comforting, a reminder of the beat in his heart as his mind is occupied on one thing. Though he hands grow clammy, he makes a move next to you on the bench. You don’t turn but opt to lay your head down on his shoulders, feeling the comfort in him.

But he isn’t satisfied, Megumi feels a growing desire rise in him as you don’t notice the change in him. His hand hovers over yours and you notice, turning over to face him. His expression of a neutral but the blush on his face tells you otherwise.

“Megumi? You okay?”

He gulps, his hand envelopes yours as he tightens his hold on it. His eyes take in your face, before lowering to your lips.

“Yeah, more than okay.”

The first time megumi kisses you, his lips taste the linger of chocolate on your lips as a burst of energy runs through him. His lips feel the soft touch of yours, and the absence of your lips when he pulls back makes him grow needy.

Your second kiss with megumi is only a second after the first, having him nuzzle your neck after so he can hide his flushed expression.

ೃ࿐ JEALOUS BOY, IN NEED OF COMFORT

When Nobara plans a little hang out for the four of you, yuji, and himself, Megumi knows that some trouble will occur.

This is the first time all four of you hang out since he’s in this relationship with you, before he already struggled dealing with their teasing. He doesn’t wish to see what they have in store for him now.

“Hey guys! Fushiguro, you’re already red!”

Yuji’s comment does not make Megumi happy, the boy irks and scoffs at the boy while keeping his distance and staying close by to you. Though someone has to make use of this opportunity.

“Pst…seems you made megumi into a lover boy who can’t even hold eye contact with you.”

Nobara nudges you slightly as you laugh at her words, Megumi already feels a hint of fury in him seeing how he’s being teased to no end.

The day includes of laughter, megumi being the most authoritative over you all, and last…him being jealous?

Megumi has felt with the emotion of jealousy and envy before, though he can usually let the feeling go after collecting himself. But…when he sees how immersed you are into Yuji’s explanation of earth worm 3, he feels a tense ache in his heart.

Nobara left to fetch food at another place, and he excused herself to the bathroom, he knew you and yuji were close by now that you two were official he felt a sting in his chest. He wouldn’t push yuji away from you, of course not, that’s incredibly selfish.

But Megumi’s human, and seeing the bright smile you hold while chatting away is something that eats him alive. Can he make you as happy as someone like yuji can? The two are complete opposites, maybe that’s why. Yuji is a ray of sunshine that can make anyone happy, meanwhile Megumi is the night that keeps his heart closed.

He walks back, taking his seat next to you. Though he’s near you, his mind is in a state of confusion while you notice this. The downcast of his eyes and his body tense as you move your hand over his under the table. You and yuji continue to chat away, while Megumi keeps to himself mumbling short responses, though you still keep the contact close, settling down the ache in his heart as your hand tightens around his.

“What happened?”

“What?”

Your body lays next to him as you two stay in his dorm for the time being, the afternoon gone by in a flash and megumi is spent. Maybe also because of his emotional dilemma.

“Something’s off with you, you okay?”

Seems you caught on, but you’ve always been observant with the emotional state of others. Megumi knows this from his childhood, but when you caught on he shakes his head.

“It’s…it’s nothing.”

“That face says otherwise.”

Megumi’s face contorts into one of annoyance, though his lips do form a small pout at your points made. He gives in.

“Do you…do you think I’m good enough for you?”

You’re taken aback at his words, unsettled by the ask of such a question.

“Megumi, of course you are. Where is this coming from?”

“The way…you seemed so happy talking to yuji. I fear that I can’t give you that or won’t be able to.”

Your face softens at his words, you could tell in the moment that something was bothering him. Though you couldn’t pin point what exactly.

“Megumi, you can and you do. You and Yuji may differ in personality but you’re everything. I adore every aspect of you, you bring me happiness like no other.”

Your voice is soft and words quiet for his own ears, it’s an intimate feeling that has him in a deep hold. Megumi can’t stop his eyes from falling to you, your head plastered on his chest feeling the rise and fall of his body.

He sighs, his breath shaky from his mind running with thought of his overthinking. But he feels safe, you bring him that peace and megumi feels the need to pull you in closer.

He thinks about whether he should say what’s on his mind, the feeling one he has felt before you two were an item. Years of growing up shaping him into acknowledging this reality.

“I love you.”

The first time megumi tells you he loves you is when he experiences the vain of jealousy, words flowing with care and truth. Your heart can only synchronize with his as you say the words back.

ೃ࿐ DOMESTIC MOMENTS, WHIPPED MEGUMI

When megumi falls ill, during summer of all times, he experiences the fatigue not from his symptoms but rather the overbearing heat.

He’d rather be wearing a oversized sweater, but the weather won’t make his discomfort any easier. His sweatpants are itching him to no end, while his shirt feels like it’s sticking to his body and glued onto him. He hates this. He already had gojo pestering him in the morning and night before, he did not want to deal with anything right now.

A vibration sets him to groan, reaching for his phone before he sees your text.

He lets out a small grin, before coughing miserably at his aid.

— gumi; and if I get you sick?

— Love; um then YOU will take care of me!!

Though if that were to be the case, you both know his words are false.

It doesn’t take long for you to arrive, holding bags of necessities and your own items. He raised an eyebrow to this before he mumbles incoherent words.

“Huh? What was that megumi?”

You lean in closer as you take your place next to his bed, the dip in the bed making his head shift to you sighs.

“Are you staying the night?”

“Oh, yeah! I hope you don’t mind, If you do then just tell me.”

He looks towards the bag and sees multiple pills and medicines that can help him, also teas to make for his sore throat. The idea of letting you go wasn’t something he wanted, even though he thought about the possibility of making you ill. His selfish desire for you to stay close growing as he moves his hand over yours.

“No, stay.”

With your presence, Megumi feels at home. Peace. He sees the devotion you carry as you make him his food, care after him with upmost tenderness, and the way in which you show him love.

It’s rather domestic, the aspect of you caring for him in his dorm, doing activities almost every couple does. Even if it’s a simple act, megumi knows the reason behind him is anything but simple.

His body relaxes when you draw close, but yearns when you’re far from reach, his heart thumping in his ears—this is far from simple. It’s an ideal he’s fond of, lovesick one may say.

Megumi for the first time envisions a future of warmth, it’s not as though he thought his future would be out right terrible, just the belief that a sorcerer cannot live without any plague of pain.

He thinks it wouldn’t be so bad to give his all to you, if it meant he could experience the doting of your heart and live in a place where it truly felt like home.

ೃ࿐ FATHERLY ANNOYANCE, TRUTHFUL CARE

When megumi takes a deep breath, he feels calm although a nervousness is buzzing through him. 17 seems like just yesterday, when you two first got together. Now he stares at an older version that of himself that still holds the same amount of love for you, if not more.

“My my, someone looks nice for their anniversary!”

His eye twitches, turning to see Gojo leaning on the doorway. No matter how many years , he still holds the same level of tease for Megumi.

“Seriously, what do you want?”

Gojo deflates, making a face of hurt even through that damn blindfold of his. If you were here it would be easy to entertain Gojo, since you two always had that sort of connection. But you weren’t, due to Megumi’s words and his plan for later.

“Jeez megumi, I thought you would be any to stay calm and collected for today. Though you haven’t changed one bit huh?”

He scowls, voice mumbling out some insult while turning away fetching some things.

In truth, Megumi needed Gojo to pass by. If not he probably would have had nerves to no end, even if his teasing made him rather hot headed.

Years of dealing with him, Megumi still can’t comprehend how the two didn’t drift apart. But he’s glad, because as an annoyance as Gojo can be, he knows Megumi in and out. Bringing to truth his flaws and molding them to their best form.

He cares for him a lot, and without him megumi doesn’t know what would be of him today.

“I’m nervous.”

He wants to say scared, terrified even. It’s not unusual for Megumi to overthink or assume the outcome of a situation quick, but he can’t back out. His heart and soul telling him now is the perfect time.

“You must be, it’s not unusual so don’t beat yourself up. You only do this once so…”

Megumi hears the ramblings of Gojo, not unusual. If anything it reminds him of his younger self, who would watch with no care as Gojo rambled to your younger self. You two always bickered back and forth, a good relationship that was still strong.

He feels himself grow nostalgic, and he doesn’t usually feel the emotion of bitterness. It’s bittersweet, looking back at moments of youth and to now? His eyes sting before he blinks a couple times to diffuse the sensation.

“It’s just really hitting me.”

Gojo says nothing, he knows Megumi is one for little words but the meaning behind them is enough for anyone.

“And everything will turn out amazing, both you and I know it.”

Megumi shuffles his phone out and checks the time, 5 more minutes until your time to meet him. Anniversaries for you and him are comforting, nothing extreme or out of this world, though the guarantee of passion is always set.

His palms grow warm, rubbing them together so they don’t grow sweaty. Megumi doesn’t want to raise any flags, yet. He can’t have you wary of him from the second he sees you, that would ruin everything.

“Calm down Megumi, you got this.”

He breathes in, before turning back riding his sleeves. His hand burry themselves into his pockets and hold a tight grip. Needing an outlet for all the emotions coursing through him.

“Ready to get down on one knee?”

At 24, Megumi Fushiguro oaths himself to the biggest stage of his life, velvet box hidden away awaiting the moment of his proposal to come.

“Megumi! You ready?”

The beam of your smile has him in a chokehold, a short breath falling from him as he smiles.

+ megumi literally did not think much of you when you first met. it was only seeing how you interact with others that he started to get you more.

+ whenever he sees you typing in the group chat, he always makes sure he answers (of course, only to make sure youre heard, much to itadori and kagisakis interest)

+ probably won't call you, but texting is decently fun with him. for someone decently calm and quiet, hes curious about how you work, ect.

+ he enjoys sharing his earbuds with you, and you lend him a few songs to listen too (you seem to get his style, although he likes a much of different things, and he saves them to his playlists)

+ doesnt mind staying back to help you train or study, and honestly you two end up talking about the jujustu world and everyone in general

+ he doesn't seem like he cares about gossip, but the moment you start talking about it he is going to pay attention

+ you two always swap what you don't like on food

“Did you know,” You lift your gaze from your datapad to look at Tech, who’s standing awkwardly in the door to your area of the marauder, “the Morai birds mate for life and should their mate pass they remain in the nest waiting for them to return.”

“I…was not aware of that.” You say, “I also didn’t know that you were interested in the mating practices of birds.”

“Ah, well,” He nervously rubs the back of his neck, “I am interested in a wide range of topics.”

Amusement lifts your lips into a smile, “And your fixation for the week is birds?” You tease very gently.

“They are very brightly colored.” Tech offers, “And are native to the planet we are about to visit.” He hesitates, “And I remembered that you have a Morai tattoo.”

“Aww, Tech.” You clasp your hands under your chin, “You’re sweet, learning things about my favorite animals simply because they’re my favorite.”

“I…well, not solely for you. Omega had questions-”

“I DID NOT!” Omega shouts from the next room.

Tech ignores her with the long practice of an older brother, “And then I remembered your tattoo-”

Omega appears next to him, her face is scrunched up, “Stop lying! You looked that stuff up specifically-mmph!” Tech slaps his hand over Omega’s mouth, stopping her from talking.

“Thank you, Omega.”

Your gaze flickers from the annoyed preteen, to Tech, and then back again. “Well then, if neither of you are injured, I need to get back to work.”

Omega pulls Tech’s hand away from her mouth, “Tech just hit me!”

“I did no such thing.”

“I have bruises!”

“You do not.”

“I want you to arrest him!” Omega declares dramatically as she points at her brother.

“I’m a medic, Meg, not a cop.” You reply with a small grin, “You want someone to punish him for hitting you, go to Hunter.”

“Maybe I will!” Omega says loudly, before she rounds on her heel, “Hunter!”

“Why would you tell her that?” Tech asks with a sigh.

You wink at him, “Well, if you get hurt, it means that you get one on one attention, doesn’t that sound fun?”

Tech averts his eyes, but a small smile lifts the corner of his lips, “I suppose it does not sound…awful.” He finally says as he catches your gaze, for a moment, just a moment, there’s something hot and needy in his gaze, before it’s quickly banked, and he turns away from you. “I will leave you to your work. We will be landing on Mora in three days.”

You know your eyes weren’t playing tricks on you. You know what you saw. And you are very, very interested.

And so you flash a small smile, even as a plan starts forming in your mind, “I’ll be ready.”

Tech glances at you one more time, and then slips out of your workspace just as Hunter shouts for him, and you muffle your laugh. Sometimes, a lot of times, the men you travel with are so obviously brothers that it’s hilarious.

In fact, you’re pretty sure you heard Echo and Wrecker arguing over Wrecker stealing some of Echo’s snacks only a little bit ago.

Still, you wouldn’t trade this job for any other medical career in the galaxy.

After all, where else would an incredibly handsome man flirt with you using bird facts?

Three days later, the Marauder lands on Mora, and you, with your medical kit slung over your shoulder, and your camera in hand, couldn’t be more excited.

“Alright,” Hunter says, getting everyone’s attention. “It looks like we have five different places we need to visit.”

“It’ll be faster if we split up,” You offer reasonably, “Using the buddy system, of course.” You add once you see the look on Hunter’s face. “And naturally, I won’t be paired off with Omega, since we’re both harmless.”

“I have a crossbow,” Omega reminds you with a pout.

“Ah, right. My mistake.”

“So that means you’re the only one here who’s harmless.” Echo teases as he bumps you with his shoulder.

“Yeah, well…before all else, do no harm, etc, etc-” You reply with a grin, as you bump him right back.

“Anyway,” Hunter interrupts, “Splitting up and using the buddy system isn’t a terrible idea. I’ll go with Omega. Tech-”

“I do not mind going with the doctor,” He interrupts, “As I understand, one of these locations has medical equipment she needs to inspect.”

Hunter looks at him, disbelievingly. 

“It’s not a bad idea,” You offer cheerfully, “If anything is broken, I might not notice right away.”

Hunter turns his disbelieving gaze on you next, and you just beam at him. 

“Fine. Tech and the Doc are going together. Which leaves Echo and Wrecker.” Hunter says, “Any complaints? Good. Omega, come on.”

You grin as the other groups walk off in different directions, and then you turn your gaze on Tech, who’s watching you with a small smile on his lips, “Shall we?” You ask.

“It should not take that long to get the equipment that we need.” He agrees, as he turns in the direction of the shop, and then waits for you to fall into step next to him. 

“It shouldn’t,” You agree, “The longest part will really be you making sure that the equipment looks like it’s in working order.” 

He glances at you, “You really would not be able to determine if the gear was in working order?”

“Of course I’d be able to tell. I just wanted to spend time with you.” You reply with an unrepentant grin.

“O-oh.”

You cheerfully take his hand in yours and you lace your fingers with his, “Anyway, once we have the stuff delivered to the ship, we can look around on our own. I need a new jacket.”

Tech is staring at your joined hands, as if he’s not sure what to make of it, and then he slowly squeezes your hand, and is rewarded with a blinding grin. The moment he realizes that it’s intentional, some of the nervous tension drains from him. “Is there something wrong with your jacket?”

“Well…no. Not really.” You shrug, “It just doesn’t match.”

“...What does it not match?”

You sigh, “You and your brothers. My leather jacket is white! It needs to be darker so I actually look like I belong.”

“You do belong.” Tech says, “You are the most important member of the squad.”

“We both know that’s not true.” You say with a laugh.

“It is true,” Tech insists, “We would be lost several times over without you.”

“Aww, you’re sweet.”

“I am honest.” Tech replies, “You have saved all of our lives on many occasions. We owe you everything.” He pauses, “And I prefer it when you wear white. It makes it easier to see you on the battlefield.”

“That’s not necessarily a good thing.” You point out as the pair of you come to a stop in front of the shop that’s holding the medical equipment that you need to look at.

Tech doesn’t reply right away as he enters the shop, “I think you look nice in white.” He finally says and then he turns his attention towards the shopkeeper and offers the name on the order.

Inspecting the machines takes a lot longer than you would prefer. A lot longer than Tech would prefer too, based on the look on his face, but there’s no way around it. Cid would have your heads if any of the machines were damaged in any way.

But finally, finally, you’re able to confirm the delivery, and you slump against Tech, exhausted. “This is the worst job ever.” You whine.

Tech glances at you, “Well, we are done now.”

“Until Cid gives us another job.” You grumble, and then you lay your cheek against his shoulder, “We used to fight for the good of the Republic, this work is demeaning.”

“But Cid does pay us,” Tech reminds you quietly, “Which is what we need.”

You hum thoughtfully, “Yeah, I guess.”

You take his hand again, and then tug him away from the shop. “Where are we going?” Tech asks, though he doesn’t seem to have any problems with trailing after you.

You just grin at him, and tug him down an alley. “I wanted to go somewhere private.” You reply once you’re not surrounded by people.

“For what purpose?” Tech asks.

“For this one.” You stand on your toes and brush your lips against his, before you pull away, “I don’t know if maybe I’m misreading things-” You murmur, though you’re not able to finish your sentence, as he tugs you against him and crashes his lips against yours. 

One of his hands slides up into your hair, while the other tightly grips your hips, pulling you as close as he can. And when he breaks the kiss, his lips hovering just over yours, you can’t help but grin, “I take it I wasn’t misreading then?” You ask.

“I do not think you ever have.” Tech admits.

“Go me,” Your smile is soft and warm, “Hey, Tech?”

“Hm?”

“Did you know that I think about you all the time?” He blinks at you, startled, “And that I would be really, really happy if you loved me as much as I love you?”

“And here I thought that I was being obvious.” Tech murmurs, before he kisses you again and again, “Of course I feel the same way. Or else I would not be kissing you.”

You grin and lightly kiss him again.

“Did you know,” Tech says quietly, “That I think about you all of the time too?”

At that a bubbly laugh falls from your lips, “I do now.”

imagine megumi bringing home his first ever partner to meet you both.

he'll be nervous as hell, and you can even notice it on the way he knocks. still with your daughter in your arms, you ask your husband to open the door for you elder son and his partner. satoru, dressed up with a white shirt that makes him look extremely good just for the ocassion, answers before walking. "it's important, it's the person megumi is in love with, of course i wanna cause them a good impression!"

gojo walks to the main door and opens with a big smile, finding a blushing megumi that invites the person behind him to enter.

"i'm home." he murmurs, and you can feel he is very nervous. you get it: the first time you introduced satoru to your family, you were extremely scared of them not liking him. luckily, your now husband has an innate talent for people, and he was soon loved by everyone. megumi takes his hand to his nape, a nervous gesture that he took from his dad, as many times you saw both of them doing the very same thing. "mom, dad, this is my partner." megumi lets the person behind him talk, introducing themselves and being polite and smiling. you feel warm seeing how megumi looks at them, so full of adoration and love, that you're happy that he trusts you enough to introduce them to you. after all, you're not his biological mom, although he considers you so.

"nice to meet you and welcome home. my wifey and me have been cooking some pasta, i hope it's for your liking. it's megs favourite plate since he was a kid, so we thought it could be a nic..."

"dad." the words of megumi are low, but his cheeks are as red as traffic lights. megumi knows that, once gojo starts to speak about his childhood, he could reveal easily the most shameful, terrible memories of the kid. of course, he doesn't want his partner to know that yet. it's you first time all together. you look at satoru and he shows you a thumbs up before returning to the kitchen. megumi looks at you. "oh, azumi's up. she's my little sister." the baby on your arms starts to cry her brother's name, stretching towards him, asking megumi to pick her up. he gladly does, sitting on the couch with the kid. his partner plays with a very distrustful azumi, until the little girl starts to clap and play along with both of them. you feel satoru's presence even before he appears, taking your waist and letting your head rest on his chest. both of you admire the three, a smile curving your lips.

"megs is all a man now." he sighs. "he was so little when i took him, and see him now. and azumi's growing so fast..." you nod at his words. he kisses your head with softness before asking you to help him bring the dinner to the living room.

once all of you are sitting on the table, you try your best to keep a good conversation flowing.

"so, do you study the same as megumi?" you ask. both of them shake their head, before megumi speaks. you feel like maybe, your son's partner it's too shy to talk on the very first dinner, but you hope they'll open up in the following ones. "they study biology in the campus next to mine." satoru nods as he drinks water from his glass, before giving azumi her dinner. the dino-themed chair were azumi is sitting calls the attention of megumi's partner, who asks about it.

"oh, this? i bought it for megs when he was a toddler. he loved to sit here in diapers and use his hands to..." you can't hold your laugh at the gaze your son directs to your husband. satoru smiles softly before turning towards azumi again. "the chair is very original, indeed." he adds, in low voice, as if he was apologizing for a bug mistake.

the conversation keeps going fluently, although you can listen some more irritated "dad" coming from megumi. after dinner, megumi follows you to the kitchen as satoru keeps talking in the living room.

"do you like them?" he asks, in low voice. you turn towards him, taking his face in your hands.

"'gumi, they make you happy. i'm grateful for that. the way you look at each other makes me feel you're mad to be together." megumi's cheeks heat up under your touch. "you're a nice man, megumi. make them as happy as they do to you, alright? go and save them before your dad starts with his long battle record." megumi laughs, face still on your hands, before he hugs you.

"thanks, mom. you're the best."

looking at him directly in the eyes after parting from your hug, you smile. "and you're the best son i could have asked for. i'm lucky to have you and azumi. life has gifted me."

megumi's eyes are teary when he hugs you again, and you caress his back softly. you hear drastically stopped steroids before hearing your husband.

"family hug and i'm not invited?"

you feel his big and around both of you soon, as well as your daughters tiny hands trying to hold megumi, her favorite person in the world.

you're so lucky to be part of this family.

headcannons for Apollo and Meg after all the books beacuse all I've been doing for the past days are spinning these scrunkly guys around in my head at terminal velocity <3

- Meg always carries a pack of sunflower seeds with her when she goes to school.

- Whenever Meg takes ancient history and they cover Greece, she manages the worst grade beacuse Apollo tells her facts that the book literally dosent know and he thinks it's blasphemy that's she's failing.

- Apollo will literally never shut up about his kids now. he hears literally the smallest detail that reminds him of them and he talks for hours about them

- Artemis is around Apollo a lot more, and she's definitely more protective/worried about him. Apollo likes the extra time he gets with her.

- Apollo returned Paolo's bandanna, but definitely not before finding one for himself. he wears it everywhere, Artemis has tried to burn it like 20 times, but somehow it always returns to Apollo in one piece.

- Apollo cannot physically hear or look anything in a shakesperian accent without wanting to commit mass destruction/cry

- Meg never gets sunburnt. like ever. plus, her crops always manage to get the right balance of sun without her help.

- One day, Meg manages to teleport directly to Apollo. As it turns out, since Apollo got himself up out of Chaos, no one ever really broke the master/servant bond. Apollo conveniently does not mention this until the last moment possible, beacuse he likes feeling connected to Meg, even when he's away.

- Apollo kept his scars. In doing so, older scars seem to pop up, that he was definitely sure he didn't get while he was mortal. They cover his body, and he can't seem to get rid of them without the ones he got while being mortal going away too. So, he hides them, and only shows off the ones he got as a mortal.

- Apollo is allowed to visit Rachel, beacuse he wants to prevent something like Python from happening to his oracles again.Zeus buys this, but only beacuse he weighs in with Athena first. Athena was totally not bribed into this by Apollo with actual intellectual discussions, no sir.

- On a totally unrelated note, he tries to connect with Athena more. They have little discussions about different topics every week or two.

- Apollo likes trying to connect with all his Olympian family. He realizes that they all suffered under Zeus, and if they are closer, like an actual family, maybe it will lessen the blows.

- Meg somehow never gets sick. it is both a blessing and a curse, since she always has to care for her siblings when they are sick

- For some odd, very mysterious reason, whenever Apollo visits Rachel, his kids or Meg are ever-present, and after he visits for some time (some days he visits longer, others it is shorter) they just pop in. weird, but since he's here visiting his Pythia, and technically not his kids, Zeus isn't gonna pay that much attention to mortals

- Since Apollo's sacred animal (one of them, anyway) is a red cow, it's totally not far fetched that it falls within his duties to check on the herd at the Waystation. After all, what God wouldn't check on their sacred animal! some mortals might mistreat them, after all!! and since he needs to talk to the owners,, he might as well catch up with them, right?

- Camp Jupiter is totally in need of more renovations, right? and it makes sense that such a devoted group should deserve some kind of reward. plus, since Apollo made the mess with the whole war thing, it makes the most sense for him to go and help! and later, he needs to check that his work is top notch!

- Apollo always visits Meg on Sundays. Technically, he's visiting Herophile, since he needs to check on her too! she's an important oracle! but Meg lives there, so they are bound to run into each other, and it's totally not weird that these meetings take a day (or two) beacuse that's a mere blink in the eye, for a god, anyways.

also I'm sorry i keep bringing up chaotic teen Buddy and Megatron, but i love seeing this fucker suffer through forced adoption.

I'm still kinda trucking through the comics, but i know that at some point Megatron is essentially yeeted into a whole ass different dimension and spent 300 years there (i could be totally wrong, if so ignore.) long story short, i have been stuck on the idea of Megatron getting stuck there for 300 years, mourning his funny little human child after 80 years, cause he figures even if he does get back home, they wont still be there.

Luckily for everyone involved, that 300 years was just a few months for the lost light. unluckily for everyone.

Buddy had conveniently slept when Megatron had left. Don't blame them, they had been running off of little to no sleep for weeks and their body finally had enough.

Rodimus had to break the news for Buddy.

"What do you mean Megatron is 'gone'?!"--Buddy

"He left, he just up and escaped! But don't worry we'll get him back on board in no time."--Rodimus

"He... He really just left?"--Buddy

"I'm afraid so."--Rodimus

"Well, you know what? Who needs him anyways! The big sorry pile of scrap can go rust in space for all I care!"--Buddy

"Buddy--"--Rodimus

"Who needs him! Thanks for letting me know Roddy, really. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some important things to go over with Whirl."--Buddy

"What important things? What could be more important than this right now?"--Rodimus

"We are going to put a bumper sticker on Minimus saying 'Kachinga'!"--Buddy

"... Carry on!"--Rodimus

Rodimus really wishes now that he had stopped Buddy from making it to Whirl's. The ship had become the two's playground for pranks and sillies.

No one was spared from their wrath.

Many bots on board got mad at the two. But it was the bots closest to Buddy to realize something was deeply troubling them.

Their enthusiasm seemed forced most of the time. Their laughter almost seemed... Robotic almost. And their eyes... they looked so hollow and lacked the usual twinkle they had before.

Whirl appointed himself Buddy's guardian in the meantime. There wasn't much argument there as being Buddy's Amica, it was probably for the best.

Whirl lost count of the amount of times he caught Buddy going into Megatron's habsuite and crying over some of his poems. He wants to hurt Megatron so badly for the pain he inflicted on Buddy. They became Rung's most frequently seen patient after talking with Whirl.

"You really think this is going to help?"--Buddy

"I'm sure of it! If Eyebrows here can stand me, then you'll be like a walk in the park!"--Whirl

"... Thanks Whirl. I mean it, you're the best Amica a friend could ask for."--Buddy

"Hey now, don't get soft on me yet. That's Rung's job. Now get in there and punch those feelings in the face!"--Whirl

The day when Megatron comes back after everything is settled Whirl is one of the first in line to deck him across the face.

"You sorry excuse of a tyrant!--"--Whirl

"I know you're upset Whirl... Buddy passing must not have been easy..."--Megatron

"Passing? What are you talking about?"--Whirl

"Surely they have already passed it's been more than 80 years."--Megatron

"Megs, it's been a couple months since your little disappearing act."--Rodimus

"...Is Buddy alive?"--Megatron

"Of course they are! Why--Hey!"--Whirl

Megatron sprinting pass him and to Buddy's habsuite.

Megatron had never sprinted as fast as he did at that moment. For the past 200 or so years he had been in a constant state of mourning. He thought he had lost Buddy forever. The biggest regret he had was not at least telling them good bye.

Now here he was... He almost backed out of knocking on the door, but he did it. The doors opened revealing Buddy in all of their morning glory.

"... Buddy?"--Megatron

"Ah man it's one of those dreams again. Listen fake Megs, I'm not in the mood right now. So if you'll just come back next week that'll be great."--Buddy

Megatron finally snapped out of his dazed and scooped up Buddy into his servos and held them close to his spark.

It took Buddy a solid second to realize this wasn't some fever dream.

"Megs?"--Buddy

"I'm here now. I'm here."--Megatron

"...How... How dare you! YOU LEFT ME HERE ALONE! YOU DON'T JUST CALL SOMEONE THEIR KID THEN LEAVE THEM HIGH AND DRY! WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE ME?!? OR AT LEAST SAY GOOD BYE!? TELL ME! TELL ME WHY?!? DAD WHY DID... why did you leave me...*--Buddy

"...I am so sorry..."--Megatron

"...you better be... I will never leave your side again... You're worse than a toddler getting lost at a Walmart..."--Buddy

It wasn't an easy transition at first. Buddy had their friends always within arms length from Megatron. Buddy themselves put up some walls to avoid getting hurt again.

The two eventually decided to seek counseling to try and mend their relationship. Thank goodness that happened.

Now Megatron was sitting in his habsuite with Buddy telling him all the latest news on the ship while reviewing their latest poems.

These were the little things he missed most and was glad he had gotten a chance to get them back.

Finally!!! Some light and hope returns to S7. Made it through the Casless stretch to 7.17.

Some thoughts on Dean and Cas:

Dean's quest to save Sam leads him back to Cas. The mysterious breeze (we know who that is) shows Dean the taxidermy guy's card, and he tells Dean about Emanuel.

"Screw Cas" -- because Cas knocked down Sam's wall and then abandoned them, by dying, or so Dean thought, so Dean's still angry and hurt. Trying not to care, but he still cares

Oh the staring when they are face to face again. Dean cannot seem to stop staring at Cas. That's not me being poetic with a headcanon exaggeration, that's what's on the screen, I didn't make the rules.

Dean watches Daphne and Emanuel a little bit like how Cas watched Dean and Anna kiss. Less furtive. But the open-eyed wounded baby seal longing sense of wonder on Dean's face is stabbing me in the heart.

"What's your issue" -- how much time do you have Emanuel? Okay, in simple terms, Sam needs help. But the things Dean doesn't say is you!! you are my issue I loved you and you betrayed me and then died and I'm not okay I didn't want to lose you and I'm still mad but glad to see you again and I'm a mess and I've been angry grieving, that's my freakin' issue!!!

The golden-amber light washing over Dean and Emanuel's faces in the car. Light washing over Dean with Cas's return, first invented in S7.

Dean's treading carefully. He wants Cas back, he also doesn't want to disturb Emanuel's peace. And Dean's still upset and hurt and angry and not over it but also he's glad to see Cas again. Dean's going through it. And Dean can open up to Emanuel in ways he's not ready to with Cas. "You're angry...he betrayed you." "Yeah, well, he's gone....I used to be able to just shake this stuff off. You know. Whatever it was. Might take me some time but I always could. What Cas did--I just can't, I don't know why." YES I WONDER WHY THAT IS WHY DOES IT MATTER WHY DOES IT CUT SO DEEP "Well, it doesn't matter why." "Of course it matters." "No. You're not a machine, Dean. You're human." THERE IT IS. After a series of characters telling Dean to suck it up and deal, Emanuel is the one who looks at him and sees Dean's vulnerability and humanity and says it's okay. Some part of Cas is Emanuel, even if he has amnesia, it's instinct, it's things Cas wouldn't be able to open up and say, not at this point, but that he believes. Cas sees Dean even if he doesn't know himself right now.

"Now picture Crowley with his hands on harmless little amnesia Cas" -- soooo interesting how Meg tries to play Dean's worry for Cas into inveigling what she wants. She knows some things.

Dean's pissed at the idea of Meg using Emanuel and turning him back into "an angel sized weapon." He wants to do this carefully. He needs Emanuel to fix Sam, but he doesn't want Cas harmed or his peace shattered. This is Dean trying to let Cas rake leaves.

Dean also seems incredibly annoyed by Meg sidling up to Emanuel and trying to flirt. Protective. Jealous even.

"You just met yourself. I've known you for years." The way that's worded. Dean doesn't just say "I already knew you." He says for years. They've been through a lot. It's like Dean is feeling all of it.

Dean is finally persuaded, for Sam's sake, to let Emanuel break out the angel mojo, but he's reluctant. Knowing what this could do to Cas, the pain he'll experience if his memories return.

That SPN used Turn Into Earth by the Yardbirds, which was the band who became Led Zeppelin, for a music video montage of Cas's memories returning, where Dean is prominently featured in 98% of the images. ACTUAL THINGS SPN CANON DID. Making a Destiel fanvid and stuck it in an episode. Okay.

Where did Dean's anger fly off to? "If you remember then you know you did the best you could at the time." He doesn't think Cas is a bad guy. "Don't defend me." -- Cas has always taken responsibility for his screw ups. Always. And takes a lot on himself to atone. That is how the character has been and he's like that all the way through. And he comes back to fix it.

Dean pulling Cas's trenchcoat out of the trunk of the junker of the week and handing it to Cas. Dean kept it!!!! He didn't just stick it in storage, he moved it from junker to junker, for months, keeping the last piece of Cas Dean had left with him and Sam. The ep that aired isn't even as sentimental as the cut scene--the dialogue we saw in a promo "something in me always knew you'd come back"--yet it's unhinged enough as it is!!!!

"I should never have broken your wall, Sam. I'm here to make it right." Cas always tries to make it right.

Dean doesn't know what's going on as Cas walks over to Sam, and asks "Cas, what are you doing" a bit alarmed. Dean wanted Cas to fix Sam, and they both at first Cas could with just a touch to rebuild the wall, but the wall's crumbled. And there's only one way--for Cas to absorb Sam's Lucifer hallucination. It's Cas's decision, and it's done before Dean can even try to stop it. While Dean of course is glad Sam is okay--that's not how Dean wanted to get there.

At the time it seemed a bit cold that Sam and Dean parked mentally ill Cas at the asylum and left--we'd only just gotten Cas back on the show and he gets shoved off screen again. But there are contractual things--Misha was signed for a 4 ep arc. Looking at it in-story, Dean says he's worried they can't protect Cas, with all that's out there, between Crowley's demons and the leviathans, and Dean says they should leave Cas where he's safe. Watched over by one of their former enemies--but Meg is the only resource they've got who can do it and she's at least playing at being an ally and she does seem to like Cas. It's again Dean's version of letting Cas rake leaves, keeping him safe.

Thinking about Megumi looking at you from head to toe with a stern expression when you wear something revealing, avoiding having to tell you to change your outfit because he thinks you’re allowed to wear whatever you want.

But later when you go out, he grabs the first opportunity to put his jacket over your shoulders, or around your waist, as if nothing happened just so his pretty girlfriend doesn’t expose herself for everyone to see.

He spends his whole time doing his best to take care of you and treats you like a porcelain doll, though he never makes it obvious and just does it with little subtle things.

Megumi would avoid holding your hands, kissing you or hugging you in public, but when it’s cold outside and your soft little hands are freezing, he takes your hand to hold it inside his pocket.

He avoids physical affection with you in private too, waiting for you to let go of him every time you hug him out of the blue. Occasionally, pushing you away and pulling out of your embrace when it’s more than a few seconds.

But every time he feels conflicted or low in general, he’s the first to come and hug you. Eyes closed and deep breath in your neck, just so you can’t witness how embarrassed he feels to be the one to search for physical reassurance.

Megumi is honestly in love with you and never fails to show it to you without even noticing, never forgetting your likings and orders in every places you’ve been.

He makes you feel like life is easy from how everything you want or think about doing are already done when it’s in his power to make it happen.

As much as he catches himself staring at you in admiration when you don’t notice, and gets flustered when you finally realize.

“i wasn’t looking at you..”

He mutters, avoiding your gaze with a frown as his cheeks turn pink in embarrassment. Although you both know he was lying, living in denial at how his heart flutter every time you make eye contact.

Megumi could really spend hours staring at a photo of you when you’re away, amazed by how pretty you look in every angle and how much he feels his heart melt in love to know your his and only his.

Small and discrete smiles hanging on his lips when you tell him ‘i love you’ before hanging up when he’s on a call with you. Feeling an anxious tingle in his stomach when he tells himself ‘it’s the one, i’m gonna tell her’.

“i love you too”

But ends up whispering it to the beeping of his phone because you hang up knowing how hard it is for him to return your words.

Xigbar the Comeback King-An Analysis of KH3

The scene between Xigbar and Hercules is an amazing scenes and that is for a variety of reasons but instead of focusing on all of them let us just discuss the main 2 reasons.

Firstly this scene is amazing because it focuses on an ideological debate between Hercules and Xigbar. For the first time since Beast's Castle in Kh2 we are seeing character interactions between the KH original villains and the Disney characters. This is a brilliant choice since it not only does a better job at integrating the disney worlds into the overarching plot by having them interact with the antagonists but Hercules and Xigbar are such a perfect choice of characters for a scene like this since their ideologies perfectly contrast one another. Hercules is the ideal hero, one whose life is defined by helping others and self sacrifice. Whereas Xigbar is a scoundrel, whose life is defined by only looking out for himself, only helping others as a means to get what he wants. Hercules is Selfless and Xigbar is Selfish

So of course the two have a debate on the nature of self sacrifice. Hercules proposes that it is the ultimate act of heroism and courage whereas Xigbar counters that self sacrifice is just another path to self destruction. That regardless of how noble the intentions are in the end all self sacrifice leads to is losing. Even arguing that Hercules was only able to save Meg through his self sacrifice because Herc had the Greek God’s favor. And while their is some truth in Xigbar’s argument it ultimately falls apart because it is made in bad faith. Xigbar is a fundamentally selfish person and thus fails to see the value in self sacrifice because he can’t see how he can personally benefit from it.

Self sacrifice is not something one does for their own benefit but rather for the sake of others. Herc didn’t risk his ife for Meg because he knew it would awaken his godhood. He did it to save Meg, because he was willing to give up his own life for the sake of someone else. A True mark of a hero

The second reason for why this scene is incredible is what it means for the larger story of Kingdom Hearts. If you pay close attention you realize this scene isn't just Xigbar showing up to be a cryptic jerk, rather it’s Xigbar’s counter argument to Sora’s “My friends are my power” speech in DDD.

In Dream Drop Distance, Xigbar acting as Xehanort’s mouth tried to tempt Sora over to their side, claiming that becoming a seeker of Darkness will give Sora a higher purpose. And Sora rejects his offer, instead showing pride in his connections. At first this shook Xigbar to his very core, pushing him away from actually confronting Sora. However, by the start of KH3 things have changed. Xigbar returns to face Sora one more time with his own counter argument. Xigbar admits that yes hearts are more powerful when they are connected to others but he also points out how this can put a stain on those people. That if one puts all their faith and power into their connections then they will eventually put a burden on those they care about and risk breaking their friends.

And unfortunately Xigbar’s words carry truth Sora has given up on himself and put too much of his faith in his bonds. When Xigbar Said Sora was nothing special in DDD he didn't even try to argue against that claim instead double down on it placing all of his worth once again in his connections, in others. And that is what ultimately brought about his downfall, as Sora fell to darkness because of the pain and suffering of those he carried inside his heart.

The scene between Xigbar and Hercules is amazing because it expertly explores the characters of Hercules and Xigbar, the nature of self sacrifice, and the Flaws of the series’s hero

HADES AU: Dead Royalty

This is more than a fixed "character x reader" job, this is a job related to an AU of the Hades video game that I came up with based on the interactions of Hades and Zagreus in the game.

We all know that the relationship between these two is BAD, Hades even having depth and reasons to hide things from his son does not excuse him from being a horrible and abusive father towards him, even if he improved as a person and changed, it came to mind? What if with now extra motivation, years of repressed anger, and perhaps a side effect of the mirror of darkness, Zagreus had... enough?

What if somehow Zagreus had been able to "get rid" of Hades in the Underworld? That way he could visit his mother as much as he wanted without having to step over him, or having Hades reveal his location in his escapes, he would no longer have him making life difficult for him and everyone in Hades' house, so why No?

Obviously things go deeper than that, when eventually Hades's absence ends up affecting the stability of the Underworld, a replacement is needed, and Zagreus is his only heir here, so he does it.

That's why I temporarily call this Au "Dead Royalty AU", although any suggestion is fine.

In general, several of Zagreus' relationships remain intact as they are not related to his rank, such as Skelly, Dusa, Orpheus, Eurydice, his mother (who may or may not return to the underworld to help her son), Nyx, Hypnos, etc. .

while others may see Zagrues differently by seeing what he did and how it affected him, like Thanatos, Meg (these two especially even feeling a little guilty for having contributed in some way to the breakdown that led Zagreus to make this decision) Maybe Achilles? Although I don't think so, some bosses, etc.

Zagreus is still a good guy, a prankster, an animal lover, someone with good intentions in the Underworld who doesn't want to be like his father, but definitely the excessive use of darkness and what it did to his father messed with his head a little. .

He wants to do his tasks and improve the lives of people in the underworld (who deserve it). Although I would say that he is somewhat hardened by everything that happened, he is happy and calm for the first time in a long time.

esto mas que un trabajo fijo de "personaje x lector" esto es un trabajo relacionado con un AU del videojuego de Hades que se me ocurrio en en base a las interacciones de Hades y Zagreus en el juego.

todos sabemos que la relación entre estos dos es MALA, Hades aun teniendo profundidad y razones para ocultar cosas a su hijo no lo excusa de ser un padre horrible y abusivo hacia el, incluso si mejoro como persona y cambio, me vino a la mente ¿que hubiera pasada si con ahora una motivación extra, los años de ira reprimida, y talvez un efecto secundario del espejo de la oscuridad, Zagreus tenga... suficiente?

¿que pasaria si de alguna forma Zagreus hubiera podida "deshacerse" de Hades en el Inframundo? de esa manera podria visitar a su madre todo lo que quisiera sin tener que pasar sobre el, o que Hades revelara su ubicación en sus huidas, ya no lo tendria haciendole la vida a el y a todos en la casa de Hades difícil, entonces ¿porque no?

obviamente las cosas son mas profundas que eso, cuando eventualmente la ausencia de Hades termina afectando la estabilidad del Inframundo, se necesita un reemplazo, y Zagreus es su unico heredero aqui, asi que lo hace.

por eso llamo de forma temporal este Au "Dead Royalty AU", aunque cualquier sugerencia esta bien.

en general varias de las relaciones de Zagreus se mantienen intactas al no estar relacionadas con su rango, como Skelly, Dusa, Orfeo, Euridice, su madre(que puede o no volver al inframundo a ayudar a su hijo), Nyx, Hypnos, etc.

Aside from the weird ending for TFP Starscream in Predacons Rising (implied to be killed by the Predacons), the show treated him pretty sympathetically (though not kindly).

He is a Bad Guy, so when he does things like shoot Bee's t-cog to a cinder or brag about killing Cliffjumper, yes, he is karmatically punished (by losing his own t-cog, by having Arcee almost kill him, etc). But whenever Megatron starts stomping towards him, the shots are framed from Starscream's perspective. It doesn't have an air of "yeah, go Megs! this is justice!", it is unsettling, it emphasizes how helpless Starscream is, it's like a scene from a horror movie or a bad dream.

(The only time Starscream getting thrashed was played for comedic effect was when he hit Predaking, who at the time was non-sapient; so it was like Starscream was hitting a dog.)

Remember how Starscream briefly went solo and then returned to the Nemesis, vowing to be loyal to Megatron? Well, he WAS loyal for the entire rest of the show. And Megatron still degraded him, dismissed his efforts, and beat him up. (Very notably, he beat up Starscream but not Knock Out for the Silas debacle.)

In other words, Megatron doesn't denigrate Starscream because of what Starscream's done--because he's conniving or traitorous. It happens because of who MEGATRON is. Starscream isn't a good person, but that's not why he's abused, nor does it justify it, and I thought the show was pretty unambiguous about that.

That's what makes Starscream's end in Predacon's Rising so odd. I speculate that they were trying for a tragic ending of "abuse victim becomes the abuser" (as we did see him mistreating the Predacons, even after he knew they were sapient, and enjoying it).

But Starscream was also comic relief with Knock Out for the entire last season, which reeeeally didn't allow it to work. Everyone loves a comic relief guy and they are usually allowed to live, escape, or be redeemed. (For example, Iago the parrot was redeemed in the sequel to "Aladdin" even though he was totally on board with killing Aladdin and Jasmine in the first movie.) Also, Knock Out getting to switch sides made it even weirder. IMO they should have had Starscream go with Shockwave (who just, like, left??).

Character Breakdown; Rodimus

Ayeee, it's Prime time!

How I feel about this character: I love him I love him I love him. He's such a depressed mood in G1, and I love the contrast of Hot Rod being his daredevil kid who doesn't take things seriously enough and then him becoming Rodimus Prime and he no longer smiles, he's depressed, his humor is now more sarcastic and dry, and he can't take the crushing weight of the primacy. He doesn't want to be in charge, but he has to, and all he wants is to live up to what Optimus built, but Optimus is such a towering figure compared to him that no matter what he does, he can't match the same feeling people get when they think about Optimus as a leader. He knows he can't be like Optimus, he can't inspire people like Optimus could, so he doesn't try. He gives up before he starts, which is why he doesn't try to be more poised and controlled like Magnus tells him to be. Optimus is so beloved that there's no point in trying to be great because he will never be as great as Optimus, and the meta of kids in the 80s hating Rodimus because he replaced Optimus is a real life example of the narrative around Rodimus Prime.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Magnus. Magnus is my biggie. I don't mind seeing him shipped with Megs in MTMTE, but my favorite will always be G1 Rodimags. They are each other's steady presence. Both of them have doubts about their own capabilities, but the other is always there to reassure and help them along their way when they're struggling. Magnus often chastises Rodimus for his lack of tact in serious situations, but it isn't mean, he simply wants Rodimus to think more before he acts. Magnus himself is a disciplined figure who is a contrast to Rodimus's jump-into-action type thinking, and it's good for both of them to function as the other's opposite to get a well rounded thought process. Anyway this has been a Rodimags propaganda post.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Arcee and Springer in G1 definitely, and Optimus as his big brother/father figure that he looks up to but struggles to live up to his legacy. His Hot Rod dynamics are silly and sweet, and his Rodimus Prime dynamics are more stunted because he's trying to be the leader they need.

My unpopular opinion about this character: He was really unlikable in the first half of MTMTE. While I found him funny and entertaining at times, he was very self centered and often insulted others or outright ignored their concerns. He gets better when Megatron shows up because they both are forced to accommodate the other's presence when neither of them want to be around each other. Rodimus becomes less impulsive in his decisions and actively apologizes for his previous mistreatment of Drift. Still can't get over just how mean he was to Red Alert in the written portion after volume 4, which I made a whole post about.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish that the G1 cartoon took more time to actually wrap up Rodimus's character development in a satisfying way. G1 often has good ideas for a plot narrative, but because the show is supposed to be nothing more than a glorified toy commercial, they often don't treat their ideas with the care and thought that would make them actually matter to the story in the long run. The end of Rodimus's ark is that he just sucks it up and eventually he gladly hands the Matrix back to Optimus, and instead of his pre established depression and self doubt mattering more to his character in later episodes, it gets brushed off for the sake of newer characters being introduced. I did like the Hate Plague episodes, but how it ended really overshadowed all that Rodimus was stacking up to be. His development is rendered null and void by Optimus returning and taking over again. It's like nothing ever happened for Rodimus. He's back to being Hot Rod, and we don't see much of a change in how he behaves due to his experiences. Aside from that, more continuities should incorporate that idea into their versions of Rodimus. It would be great if we could see his ark done well and explore what it means to take on a position when your predecessor is so highly regarded that it's impossible to live up to his image.

Just sitting here at nighttime thinking about TFFL... and how the war started in that universe.

(Reminder, this is my fan continuity)

Megatron might have started using the Decepticons to attack the Senate, blow up many things, and just overall went strong... Orion was the one who actually started the Decepticons in the first place. He was the one who brought up the idea of forming the Decepticons, even rallying up a few and starting it off along with Megatron. He planted the idea of a full on revolution in Megatron's mind.

But Megatron was so mad at the Senate he wanted them completely gone. Erased. Orion wanted them to step down from power, Megatron wanted them dead.

When it came to the point where this specific idea about what to do with the Senate started to become closer, Megatron and Orion started clashing, to the point where Megatron just couldnt take it anymore, severed the conjunx bond, and forced Orion out to take over the Decepticons completlely.

Somewhere along the line, Orion becomes Optimus (how he becomes Optimus is hush hush for now :D), and he decides to start up a new group, the Autobots, to try and take down the Senate in the way he planned.

Now the Senate has to deal with TWO rebellious groups trying to take them down, in different ways. And these groups are going against each other, clashing at times, sabotaging each other, trying to be the one who takes down the Senate.

The Decepticons win in this race. They take down the Senate their way. This was not how Optimus wanted it to end, but the Autobots cheer, and he couldnt help but cheer at the Senate's fall as well.

At this point, it would have easy to just have ended the whole rivalry and just celebrate over the downfall of the Senate. Of course, thats what Optimus comes over to do, to bring over a sort of alliance so that they could try to fix Cybertron as they dreamed when they were younger.

But... Megatron was too far gone in his anger. He had done what he wanted, but he was also so mad at Optimus. So mad that Optimus became a Prime. To him, it was just all a slap of the face that made it felt like if he was being mocked, that this was a way that the world told him that Optimus was actually better than him. That Optimus was the perfect hero, and Megatron was not. It seemed like being a Prime was the only thing that made Optimus so well liked, according to Megatron. He couldnt understand how Optimus was getting so praised...

And you know who praised Primes? The SENATE. Megatron thought Optimus had abandoned his ways, and wanted to bring back the Senate. This brought him over the edge. Now all he wanted to do was to erase Optimus, which he thought would stop the Senate from ever returning.

And thats how the war officially started.

Megatron wanted to erase a reminent of the Senate... that wasnt even there... over the time, as the war went on, battle after battle, this constant shadow wore down on him, but then, it wore down to the point where he forgot about the reminent and wanted just to take Optimus down. Like when you say something to yourself over and over again, but over time it starts warping until it becomes something else entirely.

He gets so focused on that... that he does things that he would normally have never thought of doing (The Triple Changer Experiments are one of the biggest examples. Before the war, he would have never thought of dooming any Cybertronian to such a scarring thing). His original ideals... gone. He kept chasing a ghost that never existed.

He only realizes that he lost his way when he finally gets what he wanted and kills Optimus.

Breaking down, realizing he had become the very monster he was fighting, he then ends the war by surrendering, after Primus does his little god thing after the Final Battle.

But of course, he still has to face the consquences. Optimus, after being killed by Megatron (then revived), is less inclined to stand up for Megatron. But hes still willing to give a little mercy.

So he jails Megatron.

Which is probably a very safe idea, since alot of the Autobots, and even some of the Decepticons, want him dead coughcoughTheTripleChangerscoughcough.

So basically, Optimus and Megatron were in love, but Megatron fell out of love.

Optimus still loved Megatron, and tried to fix what was broken, even while he was with Ratchet. Optimus might have not wanted to conjunx with Megatron again, but at least they could have been close again like how they were when they were younger.

Then Megatron killed Optimus.

After that...

Megatron realized he still loved Optimus after all these years.

But Optimus, after being revived...

The fact that Megatron killed him killed a big chunk of his love for Megatron.

So... when Megatron fell back in love, Optimus fell out of it.

What if the Entity swapped the killers and survivors rolls for a day or many a few days (depending on how evil the entity is feeling) Meg and teen Ramona can finally give Danny a taste of his own medicine. 😂😂😂

GOOD SHIT, ANON..........She absolutely would just for funsies, maybe as a way to boost Survivor morale if they're given the upper hand and a helping of vengeance for a bit, then she can break them back down again. Or maybe it's like a classroom punishment against the Killers because too many of them have been acting out. Or maybe she's just bored and likes to fuck around.

Either way, Danny is absolutely loving killer!Meg. He has no problem being hunted by his lovely red rabbit, her straddling his hips when she pins him on the ground, drawing his blood -- baby, this is nothing but foreplay to him. As much as he chases her around maps to corner her somewhere for a makeout session, he's thrilled for her to return the favor. Sure, maybe he still gets a knife to the gut every now and then, but I think the fact that he likes it and encourages her to be ruthless would make Meg less inclined to mori/sacrifice him. Stop getting off to this, you freak! and can you imagine if Meg is even wearing one of his cosmetics for the role, hoo boy........

Ramona, on the other hand, is much more interesting. Because Danny can't help but have this sick anticipation of seeing what she'll do now that she's been thrusted in the role of a killer. He's firm in his belief that all humans are capable of killing, even enjoying it, if they stop denying that instinct for blood. Half of her entire being is Danny, even if she doesn't know it right now, surely the pull is stronger than ever for her to give in to the bloodlust. She's a third generation serial killer, and she's going to kill her own father just as Danny had done to his, a self fulfilling prophesy...

But she can't. She can't kill anyone, even the bastards that have hooked her or stabbed her or torn her to shreds. It's not in her nature to be cruel. That's not to say she's above some payback and kicking the shit out of people - Danny taught her at a young age how to stand up to playground bullies - but she refuses to stoop to their level of depravity. She's not sick like they are, or desperate, and even if she were to kill them it wouldn't have any lasting change. They'd respawn alive and well, just as she does, and now they'd have one more reason to gut her once things go back to normal.

And Danny can't help but feel a bitter disappointment. Ramona was supposed to be just like him, supposed to prove him right about everything, but all she's unintentionally done is drive a further wedge between himself and his baby girl who's simply not a baby anymore. She's too different than he remembers and too set into her personality now for what he could have molded her into. Of course, it doesn't help that for as much as he aggravates her and roughs her up during trials, he's never actually killed her -- she has no real beef with him that would warrant violence in her opinion, why would he think she'd have the slightest desire to slit his throat???

I wonder if the Entity would let the Killers keep their usual attire/masks as well or if she'd switch everyone's outfits around...because if she did, this would also be the first time Ramona sees Ghostface unmasked during a trial...
