First two thirds drags? The first third of the game was a whirlwind of action and the stage being set rapidly. The middle third was jam packed with lore reveals and fundamental world building without the unreliability that previous games had presented the lore and world building with.
Side quests feel boring? All the companion quests had narrative purpose and mirrored the main story and themes of the game. The side quests furthered the world building and fleshing out the people, especially considering we were in a whole new area of Thedas with different social norms, cultures, and beliefs. Frankly, there was far, far less bloat in all the endless side quests compared to Inquisition.
You say it's clunky and bad because we weren't forced to stand there for hours at a time talking to the companions and going through their dialogue trees to get all the exposition and character building instead of.... organically hearing it during quests, party banter, and ambient dialogue around the Lighthouse? Really? It's far less clunky having it happen the way they did it in Veilguard and not having to stand there and go through all that front loaded conversation to get the same kinds of information. I know doing "boring side quests" is hard but that's where you get to talk to your companions and ask them questions and learn about them.
Why do we have all these conversations about coffee? I don't know, why did we have all these conversations about Titans? About elven history? About griffons? Because it's relevant to that companion, to the characters interests and showing their characterization. You think it's clunky we can't stand there for an hour asking them a bunch of questions but you're mad that one of the companions has an interest and there's scenes about it? You took it on surface level that it's just about coffee and didn't bother with any of the subtext or other things happening in those scenes? (Hint: It's not entirely about the coffee.)
You're being really contradictory and it kind of shows you're on this post in bad faith. The game is only clunky and shallow if you actively ignore most of what's happening in it. You can just admit you personally don't like it because you got nostalgia goggles on for the older games, but you're also coming onto OP's post to show how ignorant you are? Bad reading comprehension and poor media literacy, huh? You don't have to stan Bioware to like the game and recognize it's strongly written and that the narrative is tight as hell so there's no needless bloat. It fits perfectly with its predecessors, having the same flaws and short comings, and delivering consistent world building if you had paid attention before.
OP can't tell people what to think, no, but OP can tell people they're being ignorant (especially of game design and what goes into it), self important, and/or are behaving absolutely vile for no reason at all.
P. S. Bioware made their name on single player games. They tried to add a live service multiplayer thing in Inquisition and it flopped. It's not "corporate greed" that made them make it single player; forcing live service would have been corporate greed. They got famous on single player games; they went back to that with Veilguard. I can't think of anything more respectful to their core audience then making it a single player game.
Next time I hear a take that boils down to “I could write better than BioWare” OR “I know the lore better than BioWare” I’m gonna lock you in a room with four EA execs that have lunch in half an hour and you get to pitch them your ideas.

Variations for Land and Sea Androsi clothing
These are the main ones. There are more variations for the Androsians that live on the islands on the planet but I figured I’d just do the main ones that would be seen the most on my rewrite.
Used Niobe and her father as the models for the Land variations since there are more differences in traditionally feminine and masculine clothing whereas for Sea Androsi clothing it’s all pretty homogeneous so I just used Aisha.
There is a type of gender binary present on Andros but it’s loose and anyone can wear anything regardless but the appearance of the clothing is typically used as an indicator of the wearer’s gender.
This one ended up being way more detailed than the other traditional wear for the other home worlds than, but more stuff just kept coming to me while I was drawing and who am I to deny the muses even if my wrists hurt😭
What the writing on the pages say below the cut!
First chunk of images are based on Land Androsi variations
First 2 images:
Furthest Inland Variants:
- loose clothing
- lots of geometric print
- big earrings
- flat shoes
- neckwear typical at all times
- head decor typically worked into hair
- Further inland variant has little change between traditionally femme and traditionally masc
- traditionally masc looks emphasize earrings over necklaces
General Land variations outside of furthest inland are next
On 3rd image:
- beadwork
- rectangular cloth cuts
- chunky beaded pieces
- barefoot common
- layered
- circular shaped headwear
- arm and leg pieces
4th image has no text, just an example of a more traditionally masc styled outfit following that general criteria
5th image:
- more animal hide on traditionally masc looks due to tradition from the past where heteronormative relationships were expected. Women would hunt and bring pelt to men to show they can provide. Beadwork more common on traditionally femme looks as gifts from men to show they can provide too.
- topless with large chest/neck adornment common style for everyone
6th image:
- animal hide used mostly for accent pieces in traditionally femme pieces with more beadwork present
The last on the Land Androsi variations are examples of Courtwear
7th image:
- overall, traditionally masc looks have more wrap around cloth and less pattern work
8th image:
- more beadwork, less metal overall for Land Androsi mainly due to less ore deposits being located further inland. Resulted in fashion proffering it more as smaller accent wear.
- more angular shapes more common on Land Androsi clothes
- circle gems/beads present on Land and Sea Androsi wear
- tear shape gems almost exclusively on Sea Androsi
About the diamond symbol with the circle and tear shape in the middle:
- an older symbol still used where the diamond represents the land surrounding the sea, which is the circle with the tear drop in the middle to emphasize that. For those on land, that is their whole world so they used to view it as the land encompassing the sea with land as the main body in the planet.
Sea Androsi variants next!
9th image:
-an example of a simpler look
- more shells common in this kind of look
- still more metals than Land Androsi variants typically, but less than other wealthier Sea Androsi looks. Hair is still usually very elaborate though as is present through all Sea Androsi styles
- symbol for the moons with the metal ring representing the bigger of the 2 moons and the empty space in it to represent the 2nd smaller moon.
Fun fact about it not featured on the page: sometimes the piece is one solid coin with a line etched into it so the same shape is present. Usually only Sea Androsi with more money have that though or there’s a few in a family handed down through the generations.
10th image:
- example of a more typical wealthier/court look
- lots of metal work
- pearls in abundance
- open shoulders
11th image:
General info:
- shells
- jewelwork
- more embroidery
- flowing cloth
- Earth equivalent of silks
- more detailed cloth printings and more pattern work
- ores and metals more common due to larger deposits of it surrounding shorelines
- almost always barefoot
- veils attached to headwear commonly
- lots of hanging head accessory pieces
- pattern work usually with softer line work
Additional info on this specific outfit:
- example of a wealthier look
- hat wear more common for wealthier outfits with veils/headscarves common of all classes though
12th image:
- example of a more Land/Sea “fusion” fit
- usually only reserved for the heirs and some of their advisors who are to act as an example on how to carry “both causes” equally
13th image:
- custom wear made of spindly metal work with pearls and jewels current fashion trend in court
- neck and arm work for this style is considered more masculine
14th image:
- corset style considered more feminine
- more she’ll motifs present in this style typically as well

Princess Ariadne Nevaeh Rose-Corleone
Though it’s not her favorite thing, Ariana is still a (spare) Princess of her country. It’s a very tiny country, but still a country nonetheless. And when Coventry is included in any formal affair alongside Auroria, they show, because of course they do. Ariana had to get her taste for dramatics somewhere.
The colors of Coventry are yellow and teal, their precious metal is silver, and their gemstone is the white diamond. Their symbol is that of the Mockingbird (a bird that is well known for mimicking the songs of others) and the Pegasus (the symbol of King Jedrick’s home Kingdom of Aalidonia, of which he is second to the throne).
The royal family of Coventry includes: Queen Rhea, King Jedrick, Prince Adonis, and Princess Ariadne.
Their main export is an exquisite array of wine (some of the best in Auradon), as well as other agriculture like grapes, hops and barley. Though small, Coventry is quite lush and profitable as a territory, and is very popular with tourists and honeymooners for its beautiful vineyards, rivers, and wine tasting.
Ariana has a love hate relationship with her home. She loves it dearly, having spent much of her childhood exploring the rolling fields and running amongst the vines while the staff picked grapes. But there’s also a lot of hurt embedded in her, as her parents always wanted a son, putting their new baby boy above everything in their hearts, including her. She has no scorn towards Coventry itself, nor any towards her people. But she has a lot of spite and a lot of hatred for her mother, father, and brother, making returning for long periods of time a painful and difficult experience.

Alpine playing with Summer
As the group's official nester, Alpine is tasked with caring for the new cubs while their parents are busy. With Summer's wings fully unfurled, he can be quite the energetic handful.
Sorrel inspecting a strange new addition
The cub litter was used to being the only little ones in the nursery. However that changed when one night Aither came back from his travels with a new object. He said it was an egg. Something the cubs had never seen before. It was abandoned in the forest, and he rescued it. Usually feywings are live born, so this must be a feyvolx egg. They watch it carefully for any movement.

I’d like to mention that I’m not just expanding on other regions of the world. On characters and their dynamics with one another in this crazy project of a crossover that I’m doing. I’m also expanding on the dragons themselves. Playing around with the fact that they’re like people, and not all people are good. Some people just really, genuinely suck. But the thing this post is about is to showcase all the dragons who I am adding depth and lore to that we didn’t see in the films. Or the games. Because I am bringing in dragons from the games. So to all the School of Dragons players (RIP, that game was my childhood), here are the dragons from the games that I am bringing into this story (that I can immediately think of, especially since there’s a ten photo limit) (pictures supplied by Rise of Berk)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then dragons that showed up in the films/shows that I’m adding lore to that wasn’t in the films/shows
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s going to be so much fun (adding this after doing tags HOLY CRAP I FOUDN THE TAG LIMIT)

Tense early days
When Rellatos first met Rayne she was pretty distrusting of him. Thanks to living in a fighting ring for several years, she had grown used to treating every single person as a threat and was very aggressive towards anyone that got too close.
It took Rellatos a long time to build up any trust with her, and prove that he only had the intention of helping her. Getting too close to her was always a risky buisness, especially since she had the strength to rip limbs off.

These all are a few members of a powerful group in Codwalion (a continent in Adraton, our fantasy world)
Codwalion is plagued by invasion of outerplaner beings, these few are a big part of its line of defense against those surprise invasions

"I don't really care to satisfy myself anymore. Serving myself is nice, but it never leaves me feeling filled. So instead of giving time to myself, i will instead give time to these children, so they can have a bright future, because that truely is what fills me."

I drew a few of my fictional races....I got tired I'll doodle the rest of the races next time (^~^;)ゞ
(I wasn't gonna post this at first but screw it!!)
So Reindeer's are natural born hunters, they like to use their prey like features to lure predators, they mostly hunt brugmansia's monsters and help make sure forests are safe for their kin, they really dislike the Goddess Brugmansia and Erklings. The Raindeer are known to not worship any god.
Erklings are folk that live and breathe the wilderness, they can live for as long as a tree can, their skin resembles the grooves and color of a tree. they were born in Brugmansia's image to look like her children. They worship Brugmansia and Tentsosra, and have a feud with the Reindeer folk for hunting down Brugmansia's creatures.

Imps are refugees of Gahenna, they were forced to leave their home when an unknown evil was threatening their lives, they mainly blame this event on another race called the Vacuus, who were imps until they were cursed to never see the faces of their loved ones. Imps have forked tongues and a poisonous bite, their skin color varies from red, blue and yellow.(mixed babies skin can be different like red and blue baby would be purple)

Some more examples of traditional Deliosian/Lunarian clothing
I have more examples present in this post too!
These shapes of these outfits are the overall norm. Traditionally speaking, Delios had a much more binary view of gender and this is present in their clothes although like with most planets and cultures in the magical realm there’s an acknowledgment and acceptance of non binary beings and a fluidity in identity and style.
Speaking broadly on the fashion of Delios:
- lots of accessories that wrap around and tie to segment areas of the cloth are common
- goofy sleeves and loose sleeves common
- belts are popular
- detailed pattern work of all kinds are present on one article of clothing
- tassels, metal, and jewels are incorporated throughout the cloth
- lots of layers
- moon lilies are a very popular hair accessory with other plants being used as well throughout the hair
- lots of jewelry, all silver
- cooler colors used
- vests and corset styles over looser clothing common
- head coverings are common among all styles with veils and circlets being more common among traditionally femme looks and hats more common among traditionally masc looks
- pants more common in more traditionally masc looks with skirts and dresses more common in traditionally femme looks
- barefoot more common among traditionally femme with boots and sandles more common among traditionally masc looks
- braids for longer hair common
- facial hair common

Natalie B. Nitrokoff (Haunted Mansion OC)
I don’t need another Haunted Mansion OC, but that’s never stopped me before XD
Natalie is the daughter of Alexander Nitrokoff (the dynamite guy in the portrait room). She has a fondness for arson and pyrotechnics, and is well known around the Mansion for causing issues with things that are easy to combust.
Nat’s lore:
Tumblr media
Alexander Nitrokoff never wanted a daughter. He wanted a son; someone strong to one day take over his multi-billion dollar dynamite business. He considered his rambunctious daughter burdensome, and his first wife had passed suddenly, leaving him without the son that he wanted. Embarrassed by the thought of a woman one day inheriting his business, Alexander decided that the only way to fix his life was to start fresh with a new, more supple woman. He sold Natalie off to mining camp in rural Arizona, trading her for only two pounds of copper and a bottle of bourbon.
She was fourteen.
The only way Natalie could’ve kept her somewhat luxurious lifestyle was marrying the man who now owned her. She refused his advances so many times, he stripped her down to nothing and tossed her into the copper mines to work her life away. The mining camp was a hard and cruel place. Natalie pulled her weight as a dynamite rat—the most dangerous job in the camp. She would wiggle into tight crevasses and parts of tunnels older or bigger miners couldn’t, placing dynamite lay-lines and nearly getting crushed or stuck in the process. She lost her eye when a tube exploded prematurely, almost dying if not for the camp who finally stepped in to make sure she didn’t.
For years Natalie toiled underground, going completely blind in her bad eye and partially blind in the other from working in total darkness. Though they mined for copper, over the years Natalie discovered small deposits of silver which she dug from the rocks with her bare hands and squirreled away. At the age of twenty five she finally had enough silver to buy her freedom and a single train ticket to kickstart her search for her father and his new family.
It took a bit of time to track down Alexander, who had three sons, two daughters and had remarried once more. He was living in what would eventually become the mansion, but not before Natalie would set fire to it one night, killing every family member inside as she watched the man who destroyed her life burn. She would not return to the mansion again until after her death, having lived a meager, difficult rest of her life fraught with medical issues, PTSD, and a tickle for arson. She would die young at age 29 from black-lung caused by her childhood underground.
I’ll be drawing her ghostly form soon. I imagine she doesn’t linger much with the other spirits in the house, preferring to keep to herself. If you have any questions or suggestions for her character, let me know :3 I’d love to hear them!

A lil unfinished, the upper drawing that is, but my big ol mutant Kaiju humanoid momma,(like 16 ft tall), she's a part of some lore that I'm slowly building up and working on (basically the same world as Glut-Gutz), and yeah she does have kids, just haven't drawn them yet. her name's Jenny. OC Loreshit: She lives in one of the very decimated cities that H.M.K.'s tend to live in if they one: have too much eldritch kaiju radiation, or two: that's really the only place for heavily mutated H.M.K.'S to live in cause the governments are too busy trying to rebuild decimated cities and left those affected by it long term to live there with some kind of money where they get bi-monthly or the so-called 'H.M.K inclusion homes', but because she too big to fit in most of them (note: they are usually accommodated for H.M.K.'s that are roughly around the 7-9 ft ratio aka 213-274 cm. the government hasn't really increase the funding for the scientist research for H.M.K.s), so she decides to live in some rubble that she made to fit more suited and comfortable for her and her children. the winters are rough but it's nothing she can't handle, she also has a job as 'pest control' for the medium-big M.K.F.s' that causes problems for other families who live there and can't really deal with them themselves; so she after she deals with them, she gets paid in offered services, food, or 'hunting grounds' where she can 'deal with' other M.K.F. (a girl gotta eat) (H.M.K means Humanoid Mutated Kaiju, and M.K.F means Mutated Kaiju Fauna)
yall can ask me questions on this world if yall are interested, but it will be a little limited until I can make more but I'm open to suggestions.
