Helloo!! Arcane is ending soon, so I was wondering if I could request the Arcane cast reacting to a reader who suspiciously seems to know everything that’s gonna happen in the plot? They always appear where the action is, and they warn about dangers before they happen, trying to ”subtly” change the outcomes of horrible events. Tragedies are a core element of the story, so I feel that the narrative would create another disaster if one event got prevented, but the thought of these characters being safe and happy after all they’ve been through would be so healing :3 It’s up to you which way you want to take it 🐁💖 I’m fine with both platonic and romantic, but I’d love to see Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn if that’s ok :)
I love love love your writing, reading your HC’s before bed has become an important part of my day and it’s always a joy to see your work pop up in the tags <3 Thank you for letting us read your creations 💖 I can’t wait to read the second part of your Caitlyn fic!!
The Timekeeper. | Vi, Caitlyn, Jinx x Gn!Reader

You were always a mysterious figure to them. One that appeared at the right time in the right place whenever they needed you the most.
You never revealed a thing about yourself. You never even told them your name. But one thing they did know was that you had always looked out for them, like a guardian angel in a way.
And on one fateful day, after another evaded tragedy, they finally caught up to you just before you could leave again.
》VI
"Who the hell are you?" She asked completely out of breath after having practically chased you down through the dense crowd of the undercity. She had seen you so many times before. So, so many times. And every time she did, you were somehow able to save her from certain death by subtly showing her the right way to survive.
It took her a while to piece together that you must've known the outcome of every situation she had ever been in beforehand. That was the only logical answer to the many questions around your existence she could come up with, but it wasn't enough to satiate her desperate curiosity. There were times she had chosen against your signs, and the consequences ended up being almost grave. So whoever you were, you must've had otherworldly knowledge about everything and everyone.
Because whilst she didn't know a thing about you, you certainly knew everything about her.
Raising your hooded head, you idly played with the pocket watch in your hand, piercing eyes meeting her own. "Does that matter?" You ask, and truthfully, it shouldn't. Who cared about your identity when she knew she could trust you? But that wasn't enough. "Yeah, it does to me. Now tell me who you are already. I... I've been seeing you everywhere for years now. You have always been there and I..." She trailed off, suddenly losing her confidence.
She had thought of this moment for years now, imagined exactly what she would say to you. And yet, ultimately, she found herself speechless in your presence that seemed to drown out everyone else around you two. "I see... but my apologies, we were not supposed to meet yet." You said calmly, seemingly undisturbed by her appearance. "Time and fate... they both are so tightly intertwined and yet also so far apart from each other... how odd that the timeline changed so suddenly again, no?" Your words made zero sense in her mind, but that just added to your mystery.
"What-" "-Are you happy with the way your life is going?" You ask, and that made the woman pause in thought. The answer was positive, of course, but only because you had a strong hand in it once she accepted your help. She thought of Powder back home, who was probably happily tinkering away with the young girl Isha they recently took in, and that made her finally nod. "Yes. All thanks to you." "Not at all. It was you who chose your fate. I only showed you the alternative paths."
You two stood there in silence for a moment before she shoved her hands into her pockets and looked over to a nearby bar she liked to frequent in-between missions. "Let's go grab a drink and talk. It's on me." Deciding to accept this new path the timelines had given you, you accept her invitation with a smile.
》JINX
"You're terrible at your job." "Am I? I like to pride myself in my good work ethic, actually." Jinx was idly swinging her gun back and forth on her index finger whilst she rested up in the ceiling above you, clearly having followed you around secretly. But she knew that you already knew that from the start.
Scoffing at your words, she jumped down and landed in front of your indifferent figure as she pointed the gun right at you. "Pah! You're a funny one... so what are you? A time traveler?" "Ah, I like the title Timekeeper more." You were aggravating but at the same time a familiar face she had grown to appreciate deeply. You were the reason she was doing well in life now, even if she ignored you for a very, very long time. She thought she knew better despite all the odds pointing against her, especially you. Ultimately, she learned her lesson when she finally just listened to you.
"Ugh... whatever. Can't ya at least tell me your name?" "No." "Man, you're such a pain in the butt!" "Likewise." Rolling her eyes, she lowered her gun and lazily leaned against a wall, arms crossed tightly as she observed the crowds passing by from outside the abandoned building you were in. An admittedly comfortable silence fell between you two, one that relaxed her shoulders and made her sigh in defeat after a while. Your presence was always so comforting.
"So, you let me catch up to you this time. Finally tired of the cat and mouse game we've been playing?" You lowered your head at her question, a sly smile on your face that made her narrow her eyes in interest. "Perhaps. Or maybe I just wanted to ask you how you're doing?" What an odd question, considering the context of your meet-up. And yet, it was somehow fitting coming from you specifically. Wasn't your whole mysterious mission revolving around her well-being anyway?
"Shouldn't you know the answer to that, oh so esteemed 'Timekeeper'?" You found no offense in the mockery of your title. Just pure amusement. "I'm afraid that mind reading was not in the initial job listing." Jinx took a moment to think about your question carefully then, deciding to indulge you despite her better judgment. Things were good now, after all. She, Isha, and Vi were together again as a family, including Vander, even if they had yet to find a way to turn him back properly. But everything was happy otherwise... because you made sure that the end to her story wouldn't be a painfully tragic one.
"... I'm fine. Everything's fine." She muttered, and your smile widened at that answer. "So... I'm not terrible at my job, after all?" Pressing a playful hand to her chin, Jinx acted as though she was in deep thought. "Hmmm... I guess I'll need more convincing than all of this to decide." "Of course... then how about we start with running away before the Enforcers show up to raid this place in approximately... 2 minutes?"
Jinx rolled her eyes again with a grin but agreed to follow you, very much glad to have learned her lesson at your side throughout the years.
》CAITLYN
She was ignorant towards your judgment from the start, especially as she was able to analyze very quickly that you weren't all you claimed you were. You were too smart, too fast, too aware of everything. It was clear that you already knew how her life story especially would come to an end. But that didn't mean that she'd always listen to you.
Caitlyn believed to know better, even going as far as to protest against your word, which she had learned to be fate itself. And sometimes she'd nearly get away with her life, and on others, you'd be the one to show up just in time to save her. It was embarrassing and at times even near humiliating, but you never judged her, just silently left every time she attempted to confront you.
And this time she had finally succeeded.
Now dressed in a formal uniform, she watched your still form stare out of a window in her estate, as though you weren't practically trespassing. But Caitlyn was used to that. "It's going to rain soon. I wonder if the construction workers will get done with the restoration on time today before the first drops fall." The navy haired woman came to stand next to you, ears finely tuned to your calming voice she had heard in her dreams and mind for so many years. It felt surreal to stand next to you at last.
"You already know the answer... but I think Mother will send out guards soon to retrieve them." Her mother, who had only narrowly escaped her death, if it wasn't for you. She had only gotten a little injured from falling debris, but that was all that happened. All of the councilors and people in the building had survived the Jinx attack. No grave injuries. All because you prevented it by throwing Jinx slightly off balance enough to make her shot not as precise.
"... Thank you." "For what?" The right answer would be absolutely everything, but she refrained, noting that you didn't seem keen on praise. You saw it as your job. As your duty to her for a reason unknown. "For saving my mother." That should do.
You nodded at her words in acknowledgment as your eyes spied Ambessa retreating with her troops in defeat. They were practicing chased away by the council since their help was unwelcome. Served them right for meddling with the business of other nations. You had exposed their ulterior motives in secret, and that's all it took for the tide to turn against them. "Just my duty." "I knew you'd say that... but I want to reward you for all you've done. If it wasn't for you... then I... I don't want to know what I would have become."
You glanced at her with an unreadable look in your eye, and that reconfirmed her suspicions regarding how deep she would have fallen otherwise. It's best not to think of it.
Humming to yourself in thought, you gave her a small smile. "Very well, if you insist... you can treat me to some fine tea and cookies." Caitlyn weakly mirrored your grin, relief filling her senses at you accepting her offer. She was worried you wouldn't. "Of course. Follow me." Linking your arms together carefully, you made your way through the dim halls.
A chuckle left your lips when it indeed began to rain.

The things we know for sure about N and L
-the looks and touching that were way above PR
-the whole meeting her family and the reactions of said family
-the ring which sure can symbolize season 3 , but that also means it symbolizes Luke too. Especially because she said on a podcast she always liked Luke, but now has a real love for him. Now one could argue it isn't romantic... but on what planet would another man or woman be ok with someone wearing a claddagh ring in the taken position, with that meaning behind the ring.
-N saying she doesn't have a relationship in her life with anyone else, like she does with L.
-And she mentions several times there is real love there or they really do love each other. She could have said cared for each other, but said love and never followed with platonic or JUST friends
-commented about people wanting her to marry Luke... in TIME magazine not People...TIME
-pic on her phone screen. I know some people think it is JD... but the guy is left handed and L does seem to have more of a widow peak and shorter during the press tour with the way his hair was styled, so I think it could be from then
-what obviously looks like L hand in the background of N getting ready(with a ring on his left ring finger around the same time N switched her ring to the left hand).
-possibly L voice in background of video at glamour event
And yet she is with a 24 year who has only ever show interest in men... I know. I know.. we shouldn't assume and I'm really not. I'm going of articles about him, his IG and his friends posts and comments. And I realize people can be bi, pan or fluid... but again I just don't see it.
When it’s quiet people tend to start drama in their own heads.
They forget what we do have and instead focus on what we don’t. This sets you up for failure.
Stop doing that and instead focus on this list our wonderful anon has provided to remind you why we’re still on the ship.
Good things will come. We just have to remind ourselves to be patient.

Agatha All Along deep dive: episode 4 part 6
(Wandavision entries: [1][2][3])
(AAA entries: ep1 [1][2][3][4] ep2 [1][2][3][4] ep3 [1][2][3] ep4 [1][2][3][4][5][6][7])
(I can't believe I squeezed six entries out of this dang episode!!!)
agatha sees billy waking up and takes her usual moment to wipe all genuine emotion from her face and put on her mask. it's getting increasingly clear that this wretch of a woman is always wearing a mask and playing the larger-than-life uncaring witch she wishes she could be
not that she cares about you or anything.
billy does that thing children do. he doesn't say thank you or ask why she's crying, he asks about himself, his current troubles and fears, looking for guidance. that's the wonderful thing about a parent, they give a child a safe environment to grow and make mistakes and explore. A parent is, or should be, selfless. That billy feels safe doing this with agatha tells you he instinctively trusts her much more than he realizes.
agatha never lies to billy
and the way she's always drawn to teaching and explaining and guiding despite herself. deep, deep down agatha is a nurturing person who only ever got to nurture for a short time
I just realize agatha cannot actually say the name billy, can she? because of the sigil. so this is her going, I know it's still you kiddo, behind all that. I see some people arguing that agatha might actually think he's Nicky at first and personally I don't believe that's the case, the dialogue is muddy only to mislead the viewers before the big Wiccan reveal.
Two reasons agatha knew this was billy all along: she's had three centuries to sit with nicky's loss now. nicky is gone for good, no matter all her tricks and her pleading and her endless pit of sorrow, that is the one irrevocable fact that she will never be able to change. that is the cornerstone, the whole core of who agatha is today. she has lost nicky, she has committed unspeakable horrors to cope with that loss. she is afraid to die because nicky is on the other side and she cannot face him.
The second reason is that agatha loves billy for being billy, not just as a nicky stand-in. she was uniquely equipped to understand and empathize with wanda, and that's even more true for billy because he's a little boy and agatha's whole heart is wired and predisposed to reach out to him. she saw the miracle that was his birth, she saw first hand what chaos magic can do. this is a child flung out in the world carrying an immense power and no instructions on how to use it. he's capable of terrible things that could easily turn him into a monster and a pariah, and agatha is, besides wanda, the only person in the world who truly understands what that means. do you remember what happened to agatha at around the age billy is now? everything in her is demanding to guide and help. selfishly, because all that power would be hers to control. selfishly because he reminds her of herself and she wants to undo what her mother did to her. and selfishly because helping billy would in a way redeem what she did to nicky.
and also, selflessly. because she wants to help him grow and be successful and be happy.
billy created the Road to find tommy, sure. but what he's been doing on the Road is finding community. or rather, getting close to witchfolk to find out who he is in relationship to them, exploring the identity he was born with that he cannot express with his adoptive parents. he started with a lot of silly ideas on what witches should and shouldn't be and created trials that are, let's face it, rather stereotyped and demeaning. next trial is agatha and he is puzzling her out now, willing her to become the ideal witch and mentor he's looking for. he's doing it with the grace of an elephant in a china store, but that's just what being a kid is.
aaand the wall is all the way up and she runs away. but we made some progress there, didn't we?
oh to be a vampire and getting to bite patti lupone's neck
rio looks so engrossed and fascinated listening to lilia! rio just loves people, you know? she loves life in all its multifaceted forms, and that's not at odds with her job description at all. she is The Green Witch, she has embraced nature, which is to say life, so completely that all of it is important and precious to her. my headcanon is that as the original green witch she started ferrying souls because she deeply understood and accepted death as natural and organic and sought to help it along. it's funny, lilia is terrified of her but if asked, rio would have such a long list of things that make lilia special.
and that such a being would fell in love with agatha of all people?? god that is amazing. that is how you write a beautifully doomed epic love story. billions and billions of humans throughout history, and agatha is who caught her eye. and not because agatha is a serial killer mind you, that's just foreplay. it's because she is the most intense, the most interesting human Death ever came across. while others saw a damaged girl, rio saw poetry in her extraordinary complexity
and then, through agatha and nicky, rio experienced grief from a new point of view. Death, no longer impartial.
a wiser future Lilia pays another brief visit
and she's gone. her puzzled little face!
from being awkward and fearing her oddities to laughing with her about it. another step toward a deeper understanding, and acceptance, and love.
look at agatha's body language when she approaches. uncertain, arms crossed. these people have seen her without her mask now, openly weeping about billy
and then she puts her hands in her pockets and postures, ready to underplay things. pppft, crying? moi? you guys must have dreamed it.
alice with her big compassionate heart will never be able to think of agatha as cruel and distant again
agatha picks up rio's flower
rio looks at her
pretends she wasn't looking when agatha looks back
you could cut the damn tension with a knife
jen trying to include agatha??? man they did really see her cying fr
look how interested lilia is! I wish shows could just be 15 hours of women hanging out and chatting, no plot, just vibes
agatha glances at rio as if saying, you know exactly which scar this is. and rio chuckles because she remembers the story. THE INTIMACY BETWEEN THESE TWO. I'm going feral again.
what is this, camaraderie? community? perhaps even, dare I say it, friendship???
agatha doesn't know what to do with herself!
behold the textbook definition of 'awkward turtle'
oh rio's DETERMINED
'no you don't' 'yes I do' STOP IT YOU STUPID GAYS
agatha all casual like honey I've seen every inch of that body
just... the way they fell into a rhythm. the doMESTICITY.
lol jen's and alice's gaydars pinging at the same time. like somETHING FRUITY IS AFOOT. AND WE WOULD KNOW.
and fuck fuck fuck fuck I cannot believe I've run out of space again and I need to do a part 7
LOOK WHAT THESE LESBIANS ARE DOING TO ME (it'll be up in like an hour guys don't worry)
go to episode 4 part 7

I have never written anything in a long time and English is not my first language, but this idea has been in my head for a long time, so...
Warnings/tags : BAd English, fem!reader, obsessed!Simon Riley, possessive!Simon Riley, I have been waiting for years!Simon Riley, Age gap( more than 10 years-simon is older-Simon acts like age doesn't matter.), smat (Only Simon loses his mind thinking about his wife + the things he want to do with her.), Arranged marriage, fluff, A general explanation of the idea at the beginning of the post. Tell me if I forgot anything!
~
An AU where the government uses tests to choose a partner for you, based on DNA, blood type, etc., to find a good match for superior genes. And these tests continue until your early twenties (not like they're in a lab, it's in real life and the tests are taken at school, like exams) and finally by the age of 22 or 23, the person you should "marry" is determined for you.
And during this time, you shouldn't have a relationship with anyone, and you can't break this pre-arranged marriage in any way.
There are people who, for whatever reason, such as their weak genes, never get a partner chosen for them, and even if someone is suitable, they never send their files for two people to get to know each other.
They are not ridiculed or humiliated, They are just not accepted.
And here we have Simon Riley. A boy who is the victim of his parents' forced marriage. He has a bad situation at school and an even worse situation at home. Since childhood, he has always tried to distract himself from all his problems and try to hold on until he realizes what the future holds for him. Simon, who has never felt like he belongs anywhere or to anyone. Even blood relations have not made him to have a good relationship with his brother, now he understands that there is only one person for him and he is only for one person. In his eyes, she is an angel , not just an angel who is going to save him, but an angel who is going to be by his side forever. As he grow up this childish excitement turns into a obsession.
All the people who work on the projects always encourage him and say that he has very strong genes, a very strong and resilient body, he is patient and careful and has a very high leadership intelligence. They says that he is very cooperative in the tests and does his best.
But it never happens. No one in a fancy suit ring his doorbell to give him the good news. To give him the introduction to the person he's always been waiting for. He never hear "Congratulations, Mr. Riley."
Not even after years.
This was strange, he was always complimented, he was always told that he would find someone great, he always hoped that he could be with someone who would love him.
He visited the centers many times. He tried to follow up and even asked to do all the tests again. Surely he wasn't supposed to be alone, right? There must have been a mistake in the results. His file might have been lost.
They never answered him. He was told to wait, some people wait years to get the files.
He waited.
He was a patient man.
Even now, in the garrison corridors, with multiple scars on the body, and a mask on his face, as he was heading to his room after a hard mission, He was waiting.
He packed up his things to go back to his dark, empty apartment for six months. Six months. Half a year. It seems like a long time. But not long enough.
His teammates don't talk to him about it. like this big, strong man who's amazing at everything failed his tests. The big dog who destroys everything on the battlefield, isn't strong enough to beat the tests, the smart leader who always outsmarts the enemy, not smart enough to pass the tests. it was ok for them.
Not for the others though. For other It's a shame. It's a waste.
Unfortunately, he doesn't care about what others think, otherwise he wouldn't have made it this far.
When he gets home, he takes a quick shower and comes out, hungry but tired, so he puts on his pants and lies down on his bed. Just as his eyes are getting ready to fall asleep, the doorbell rings.
It used to be joyful, but now it's just annoying.
He grumbled, open the door.
Tight suits were never his thing, they made him look too big. Too scary for others. But not on this guy.
"Mr. Riley, right?"
He raised an eyebrow, "That's me."
"Well, congratulations! According to the research our team has done, after a long review of the files, we were able to find the best match for you!"
With a cheerful face and a smile from ear to ear, he looked at him and held out the file towards him.
But Simon's reaction was unlike anyone else. There was no joy on his face, no indifference to the news. It was anger. and it wasn't the anger that some people showed because of being caught up in this system, it wasn't the anger that came from stubbornness.
It was pure rage. It felt like he was about to tear out his throat.
He just wanted to deliver the news and at least get a smile in return. He would have been much happier if he had seen tears of joy. Usually he would have stopped so that the others could tell him how happy they were and how much they had been waiting for this moment.
But not now. He just wanted to run for his life.
Maybe he's not having a good day? Maybe he woke him up? Maybe he's a man who goes to bed very early and it's late at night?
"Um, I know it's a little late..."
"A little late?" His fist lost control. Simon could break everyone's jaws as much as he wanted at work, but not now, Not here, not his. he just brought the man closer to his face, "A little late?"
His voice trembled with anger. If no one saw this man, they would think he was scared from the way he sounded. "Do you know how fucking long you've kept me waiting for this?"
His face sank, whether from pain or confusion, it didn't matter. He released his jaw and stared at him with his sharp gaze. After a few seconds, he glanced at the files and the man unconsciously handed them to him. "Thank you." There was no sense of gratitude in his voice.
Without waiting for an answer, he turned and closed the door. He threw the files on the counter as he walked to his room. He couldn't believe it, and most of all, he didn't have the courage to face this. The last time he had followed up, five years ago, they had told him it was too late, that after all these years the files would be reorganized and the old ones would be moved, he wondered, did they throw away the old information? When he asked, they looked at him like he was stupid. "I don't know if they'll get rid of it completely, but it's no longer used."
Even after that, he waited, but he lost hope. He knew it would never come. He convinced himself it would never come.
Simon Riley couldn't sleep that night, and he couldn't sleep the nights after that. Even looking through the files didn't help him sleep. When he finally got to them, after much struggling, he came across a photo of the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. He let out a breath he had been holding and stared at the image. After a few minutes, he looked down at her information. Name... her last name... age... age?
OH, she was so young. Much younger than him. Much, much younger for him.
A beautiful young woman, with a bright future and a great position, and here's an old dog like him. he's not an old dog, he's old for her, very old. he's just a dog, you know, a dog that can tear everything to pieces. In the battlefield, not in normal life. In the battlefield, he's a good leader. he is a good dog.
he can be a good dog for her.
he pushes away anyone who comes near her, protects her when she's scared, in return he gets lots of kisses and hugs, lots of attention and sweet words, he wags his tail, shows his belly to her to rub it. damn it, she can rub anything she wants, touch anything she wants .Anywhere he hasn't let anyone even see.
Anything she wants.
Yeah, he's panting like a dog when he sees her picture, it's clear that he'll let her do whatever she wants with him.
The more he looks at her beautiful face, the more his guilt about her being younger than him fades.
Just because they have more than a ten-year age gap doesn't mean he can't be a good man for her.
He wants to be a good man for her. He promises to take a bath with her after a hard day, massage her whole body to relieve her Tension, and when When he dried her, he'll gently place her on the edge of the bed and massage her beautiful legs. If she lets him, he'll kiss them.
from top to bottom, from bottom to top. He will LICK her clean.
She can crush his face, under her feet... or between her thighs. She'll press them so hard that he feels like his skull is breaking, she'll sit on his face so long that he can't breathe, so long that his chest hurts.
She's not going to cry because of some people are asshole's at work, he's giving her something to cry about. From joy, happiness, and a good feeling.
He wants to wake up with her in the morning, the first thing he sees is her beautiful face. He wants to wake up a few hours earlier so he can stare at her in her sleep.
He wants to wake her up with his kisses.
He wants to wake up with her kisses.
He wants to kiss her everywhere, he wants to do a lot of things for her and she kisses him in return, he wants to do nothing and she kisses him, he wants to kiss her for no reason, kiss her because he loves her.
he wants to cook for her. His cooking is terrible but he tries his best, he makes her heart-shaped cupcakes, even if she doesn't like it because of the taste, she still smiles at him and says sweet things . She can Teach him how to cook, so she doesn't have to do that anymore. Just sit there and look pretty for him. What if she can't cook? It's okay, we'll learn together. What if she hates cooking? I said it's okay, just sit and watch how your husband cooks for you.
Husband, please call him husband, it sounds so sweet when it comes out of her mouth. He wants to be called husband everywhere. Especially when she goes out. Everyone should know that a beautiful angel like her has a wild dog like him. You shouldn't go near her, he's only friendly with his owner. He even gives her a collar, you can take him wherever you want.
And instead, he wants to call you his wife. Everyone needs to know that he belongs to someone. Someone is waiting for this scary beast at home, not just anyone, an angel, a real angel.
He wants to say that my wife won't let me, my wife doesn't like it, my wife said no, my wife is waiting for me at home, my wife bought it for me, my wife chose iy, my wife loves it very much, my wife must agree. Everyone knows him by your name. You own him.
At the end of the day,That man is hers. At the end of the night That woman is his. He wants to go to sleep with her, wrap his arms around her and bury her head in his chest. Maybe she let him sleep between her beautiful tits. Does that mean she'll let him kiss them? Oh, he's hopeful, so hopeful.
He lowers his kisses, kisses her belly and goes lower and lower. FUCK, does she wear nice panties for him? The ones with the bras? If he didn't, it wouldn't be a problem, everything on her body is beautiful. Does she let him take them off? He asks permission for everything, I told you, he was a good dog. Did I say he licks her? Oh, he licks her, like it's the last ice cream on earth on the hottest day of the year. He moans, he knows she likes it, her pussy gets wetter when she hears his pleasure, her grip on his hair tightens...
When she comes, he rests his head on her thighs, looks at her as her breathing becomes stable, waits for her to look at him, pats his head and tells him well done. Damn it, she won't regret it, he promises.
He always asks her how she wants it this time. "Whatever you like, angel." Is she tired of the same place? Does she need a little variety? Baby, he, bends her over every surface.
He'll go on for several rounds, but he'll get tired, old dog, remember? If she still feel like it, how about she put her beautiful thighs on him and ride him? Oh, I'm sure he'll enjoy the jiggling of her tits.
tired? It's okay, Princess, he presses his feet into the mattress and do all the work.

“i love you”
sypnosis -» "I don't care what they say — I love you that's what matters" you scolded manon
beware! -» fluff , angst , crying , comfort, sick , swearing, cyber bullying, stupid hoes
talks -» hey so recently manon got sick and she couldn't attend the MAMA Awards — some lame hoes decided to use this as a way to hate her , friendly fucking reminder she's a person not a fuckin' robot stupid bitches , I hope y'all burn btw...!
taglist (open) -» @nyssalvr @ohmyhaely @vrtualstar @c-yerim @jellaaa
it wasn't much of a secret that the girls especially lara and manon got so much hate when the documentary got released — death threats , bullying , racism and etc — it took a toll out of their mental health especially since they were just getting started being an idol
recently katseye got invited to perform at the MAMA Awards , this was big the MAMA Awards is one of the biggest award ceremony in korea — so the girls spent weeks practicing their presentation for the awards
many sleepless nights and hours upon hours of practice took a negative turn for manons body — just two days before the awards she had to announce her mini hiatus due to her having a fever
obviously she was devastated, but she knew the rest of the girls were gonna do good—although she wished that she could also perform
"babyy i miss you :((" manon texts you , it was pretty early so you went to their dorms , you drive faster than usual sensing something was wrong
you knock on the door waiting for her to open it—well what greeted you was manon sniffling with a blanket draped over her frame
"baby what's wrong??" you ask entering the abode , she hugs you not muttering a word , as your shirt absorbed her tears , you held her head closer to you but you felt like she was burning "your burning up , are you alright?— did you take your medicine yet?" a motherly way of concern starts to take over you
"i-im okay" she sniffles yet again , finally she lifts up her head — her eyes were puffy her nose red and her face coated with her tears
"no you're not baby , tell me what's bothering you?" you sternly said to her , you both sat down on the couch with her clung onto you
"I just - I saw videos and comments that I wasn't sick that I was just lazy but I'm not!—i work as hard as everyone does!" manon exclaims her hands flailing around , angry and upset tears leaving her eyes as she stumbled over her words
"I know , you shouldn't care about what they say — they're just jealous of you" you said comforting her , her frown deepens "no they just hate me" she says , your heart breaks at everything manon had to endure
"I don't care what they say — I love you that's what matters , not some stupid comment made by someone who probably can't achieve the things you have" you scolded — her tears soon dried up and a smile forms on her face
"I love you too" she smiles , her lips now on yours as a tint of pink made it's way to your cheeks — "now take your medicine" you mutter , she groans
"it tastes like shit — I'm not even over exaggerating it" manon mumbles pouting at you
"language and no just because you look cute doesn't mean you won't take your medicine" you chuckle at her attempt to stop you from making her drink her medicine
"no fair"
"you're sick not me"
after watching a movie and finally making manon drink some paracetamol — she peacefully falls asleep whilst her head was on your lap , you made a soothing motion on her scalp
"you're so pretty" you mumble looking at her peaceful face
sometimes you wish that manon didn't go thru the dream academy, or even became a member if you only knew it meant her being bullied online — yet your thankful that she was with people that loved her , eyekons, katseye, and you
manon deserves where she is now ,no one and I mean no one could tell you otherwise — she worked hard and shed her blood sweat and tears for this and for that you are proud of her

I recognize that these are very questionable things for Padme to have done, and I call it out when I talk about her quite often, so I don't deny that these choices on Padme's part CAN be interpreted as Padme being... somewhat darker.
And I do personally believe that Padme's choice to be with Anakin despite the obvious red flags in AOTC was intended to be seen as a selfish choice on her part, that her feelings for him (or, perhaps more accurately, for what he REPRESENTED to her) overrode her morals. So it's not like I think the narrative doesn't represent her with flaws ENTIRELY, but I don't know that I'd say that the narrative itself represents her as DARK.
Padme spends a lot of her time being nice, being sweet and kind, and when she's not doing that, she's often off making big impassioned speeches about how they shouldn't go to war or about justice and things like that. She is very much represented as, generally, morally GOOD, and morally BETTER than many of the people around her.
In TCW, she often got turned into an action Barbie of sorts, either fighting the good fight in the Senate or fighting the good fight in the streets somewhere. She's the one who goes to try to get the Separatists to talk about peace, she's one of the Senators involved in whatever summit is happening on Mandalore with the Separatists, she's the one who insists that Ahsoka should learn more about politics, so on and so forth.
So while you do not personally care for some of the decisions she makes regarding Anakin and the way she chooses to ignore or brush aside some of his behaviors (and I don't think you're WRONG to dislike them, I obviously also personally dislike them and I think that the narrative does in some ways question her decision and expects the audience to do so as well), I don't think it is accurate to claim that Padme is DARK and certainly not that the narrative expects you to see her as dark.
Padme makes some questionable decisions, yes, she makes some SELFISH decisions, yes, and those decisions do ultimately lead Anakin to find ways to excuse away his actions, but I also don't believe Padme intends for that to be the outcome of her choices. When she tells Anakin "To be angry is to be human" she's hoping that he'll calm down and figure himself out and that this will be a one-off event. Natalie Portman claimed that she played that scene as Padme sort-of feeling like she wants to SAVE him with her love, that she RECOGNIZES his anger has led him to do dangerous things, but that she believes she can fix him with kindness. While you can question that belief, it's clearly coming from a good place and a desire to help Anakin be BETTER rather than an intentional disregard for Tusken lives.
You can likely apply a similar thought process to why Padme reacts the way she does to Order 66. She can barely believe that Anakin WOULD do something like that (with the Tuskens, she sees how the Larses speak about the Tuskens and so she can understand that there's a clear hostility between the Tuskens and the human settlers that Anakin likely experienced himself, and the Tuskens DID capture an innocent unarmed woman and tortured her to death, so they've clearly done something pretty heinous that provoked Anakin's ire; but with the Jedi, NEITHER of those things are true since Anakin SHOULD be on good terms with the Jedi and they haven't done anything to specifically earn this kind of treatment from Anakin). She goes to Mustafar just to try to clear things up, knowing that Anakin is capable of ruthlessness, but hoping he isn't capable of this kind of BETRAYAL, and clearly recognizing that she might have to do some damage control again. You can see her switch from just asking him to deny what he did to trying to "save him" with love and kindness again, hence the option of just running away. It's only once Anakin refuses that kind of comfort that she starts to back away saying he's going down a path she can't follow. But even that line has been argued to be more of a WARNING than a THREAT, another entreaty for Anakin to come back to her rather than an ultimatum.
And you can tell that Padme IS horrified by what he did to the Jedi, it DOES bother her on a moral level, but she has invested so much of herself into this relationship that she can't really let go of it any more than Anakin can in some ways. She is not without her flaws. But I don't see Padme committing her OWN genocide to save Anakin. The closest she gets is in TCW when she chooses to trade Grievous for Anakin, but this is a choice that's backed up by both Jar Jar and the Gungan leader (more accurately, they literally convince her INTO IT when Padme hesitates over making the trade).
Padme isn't dark in canon. She is flawed. There's a difference.
What I WANT when I say I'd like Padme to have gone dark is to see Padme be CORRUPT. One of the ways I think the Anidala relationship storyline in AOTC could've been helped was if we saw more of Padme being politically corrupt so that her choice to be selfish with Anakin felt more in line with her stated morals. Perhaps she's not necessarily out there murdering people, but she's not above, say, taking bribes or things like that. She's not a perfectly pure politician who always fights for what's right. This would perhaps make her a simpler character, less complex and nuanced, but I also don't find that there was enough time or space for Padme's complexity and nuances to be explored in a way that really made a lot of sense, so instead of being complex she's just sort-of contradictory. You find her "sociopathic" because her morals and motives seem to vacillate wildly depending on what the scene requires of her, rather than being more clear and coherent from one scene to the next.
So, yeah, I think Padme can get a LOT darker. I think you could really look at whether Padme would've ultimately gone along with what Anakin would've asked of her if she'd survived Mustafar or if she'd never GONE to Mustafar. What would she have done if Anakin had made her an Empress? How much would she have allowed and how desensitized might she become to certain atrocities over time? Would she ever get to a point where she didn't just allow murder, but actually ASKED for it? Could she be pushed to feel like it was necessary for one reason or another? If Anakin made her feel like this was her perfect dream, or that her family was being threatened, would she be willing to defend it with oppression and murder? Would she start to maybe enjoy the power she'd been granted as an Empress, would it start to change her to someone very different from who she'd been before she married Anakin? Would her parents and her sister and her nieces even recognize her when they saw her in broadcasts anymore?
Come on, we can get more creative than just... what's in the films. Making her darker and more morally corrupt is a way to make her more likable and more coherent. Maybe she's not quite as against dictatorships as she thought she was, maybe her frustrations with the Senate and the Corporate Alliance are starting to tear down the passionate young Queen that fought for her people's freedom. Maybe she feels like she IS fighting for people's freedoms still, but she's willing to do a heck of a lot more to get it. Maybe she's far more sympathetic to the Separatist side of things than she is in canon and nearly lets them win a few times because... what if. What if they DID just burn it all down and start again? Would it truly be so bad?
THAT'S what I mean when I say I want her darker. I don't just want a young romantic woman getting swept up in what she thinks is an epic romance that she's willing to believe that her love can fix a dangerous man just because he says things to her like "I'm haunted by the kiss you should never have given me." I want someone who is attracted to this dangerous man because she's not truly all that different from him and she's already slipping down her own slope towards darkness. I want a Padme who's already made some moral concessions in the name of justice or freedom and figured out how to sleep at night still. I want a Padme who is willing to achieve a victory at nearly any cost. I want a Padme who is perhaps not all that devastated by her handmaiden's death because, well, that's what she's for isn't it? I want a Padme already becoming desensitized to things that would've appalled her ten years ago and Anakin's shaking simmering rage about the state of the world echoes her own.
Characters that would be improved if they were darker, more evil, or morally corrupt:
Ahsoka Tano
Satine Kryze
Padme Amidala
Characters that would NOT be improved if they were darker, more evil, or morally corrupt:
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Leia Organa
Mace Windu
Yoda
Luke Skywalker
#padme#let her SNAP#let her go FERAL#let her get some blood on her teeth as she rips open a throat and calls it mercy#she's a little selfish sometimes in canon#she's NOT dark#she can get SO MUCH DARKER if you give her a few more pushes in the right direction and that's what intrigues me about her#it wouldn't take a heck of a lot

go spin the wheel, see where it lands—
Here's the thing about time: it's always running out. He felt it even as a kid, this urgency moving through him, around him. Always just ahead. He'd catch up, if everything else would just slow the hell down. But there are rules, and rule number one is that time tends to be, well, linear. Directional. Things get a bit messy when it's not.
Four seconds. That was rule number two, and the consequences for breaking it are— bad. To put it lightly.
He doesn't exactly have a choice. Or, he does, but if it's between breaking the rules or not, watching everything he loves get ripped away or digging in, claws first— well. He knows a thing or two about fighting dirty.
So, no, it's not a choice. It's immutable, like gravity. Time. A strict progression from cause to effect.
Ekko breaks rule number two.
And the line becomes a circle.
.
He thinks it's a dream, the first time. What else would it be? She fell. She's gone.
She's here now, though. Whole and happy and here, running a hand through her chopped-short hair. That single streak of magenta hits him where it hurts, square in his chest. You can't feel pain in a dream, can you?
"You're back," she says, without looking up. She's lying on her stomach, sketchbook open, a whirling kaleidoscope of color on the page in front of her. "Took you long enough."
"Was I gone?" Ekko says.
She actually laughs at that, the sound filling up his ears, warm and bright. "Benzo was starting to worry, not that he'd ever admit it. Big ol' softie." Her hand flashes, chalk sticks arcing across the page. "You seem to have that effect on people."
He shakes his head. "I don't. I'm not—"
She scribbles faster, fingers stained pink and blue and every shade in between. "You know, for a smart guy, you're kinda dumb."
"Ouch."
"I still like you, though."
This is a nice dream. Maybe the only nice dream he'll have again.
"I miss you," he says, dredging the words up from some sunless space inside him. "I didn't tell you before."
Her hand slows to a stop. From where he's standing, Ekko can only see a few snatches of detail on the page; a fuchsia smile, twin blue braids.
"I'm right here, buster," she says, not looking up. Grinning softly at her hands. "Never left, actually."
The circle wobbles, shifts out of focus. Time and space folding in on each other like paper cranes.
When he blinks, Powder is gone.
.
Too late. It's always, always too late.
.
"It's you," she says, the next time.
They're somewhere green, somewhere he's never been. A part of the Undercity that doesn't exist where he's from, that never existed.
"Uh." He blinks against the sun. "It's me, yeah."
"Seriously?" Beside him on the lawn, she pops up on an elbow, scrutinizing him. "You still don't get what's happening? Sheesh, hopping dimensions really does do a number on the noggin."
Okay, this is a weird dream. Still, as long as he keeps her talking, as long as he has sun on his skin and grass beneath him, he doesn't really care. He'll take weird. He'll take whatever he can get.
"Noggin, right," he laughs. "Synapses. Drunk slugs."
Powder scrunches up her nose like she's trying not to laugh. "Alright, I give. If you wanna dance around the giant elephant in the room, be my guest." She turns her head into her arm, a shield from the sun. Between them, their hands brush in the grass, pinky fingers tangling together. "Next time, though."
Ekko hums, content. More than that— happy. Overflowing with it. Then he frowns. "Wait. Next time?"
Paper cranes, folding in and in and in.
"Dummy," he thinks he hears her say before she disappears.
.
"So when you said 'hopping dimensions', you meant—"
"Yeah."
"And that means—"
"Yeah."
Ekko spins in a circle, arms thrown out wide. "But— how? All of this, the lab, the tech— it shouldn't exist here. Heimerdinger made sure—"
"Hey, you're the genius," Powder says. "I just live here."
Four seconds. He lets it sink in for four seconds—she's whole, she's happy, she's here, at least in this tiny pocket of space and time—before he's crossing the space between them and pulling her into a bruising hug. Her breath puffs out in mild surprise, and then she's hugging him back, arms cinching tight around him. I won't forget this. But he's already started to. He drops his head to her shoulder, breathing her in, every tiny detail. He won't make the same mistake twice.
Her eyes are wet when they untangle. Ekko swipes at his cheek to find that his are, too.
"I'm sorry," he says. "I'm so sorry. I thought I saved you, but it wasn't— I wasn't—"
"Don't," she says fiercely. "Don't do that. Not with me, not here. I meant what I said, okay? You're a good one, Ekko. You don't give up on people. If I'm— if the other me is— then there was nothing you could've done to change it. That was always gonna be how the story ended."
The tears are a river, streaming salt down the slope of his nose and into his mouth. "I was too slow. I'm always too damn slow."
Powder's hands are on his face, her lips kissing the salt from his cheeks, his eyelids. "The boy savior," she murmurs. "It's not your job to save everyone, you know. But I love you for trying."
She's fading, or maybe he is. Time and space, a never-ending anomaly. But there are constants, too, things that keep the universe spinning. Rules worth breaking.
He feels it, this time. It's like someone's scooping out his insides, rearranging his atoms. Like he's being wiped clean, unmade. Hollowed out so that some other him can be stuffed into his skin. Four seconds is all it takes, or maybe four million.
I love you. I love you, too.
.
He tells her for real, when he sees her again.
"I know," she says, elbowing him in the ribs. Her cheeks are dusky-pink. "Following my lead, huh?"
He looks at her, really looks. Every detail; the dainty point of her chin and the dusting of freckles across her nose and her eyes, big and bright and blue.
"Always," he says.
.
Time and space. Paper cranes, folding and unfolding, creasing the lines of reality. Some rules can't be broken, but they can bend a little.
Here's one: when you die, you stay dead.
.
He must be dreaming. She's standing right in front of him, in this dimension, on this plane of existence, real and whole and here. Her hair is still short, all of it blue.
Four seconds. He holds his breath for four seconds, and then: "Jinx."
"Hey, buster," she says.

If all (or most) of the yandere!JL had darlings, do you think they’d have a system?
Like, to make sure their darlings are mentally healthy, would they set up stuff for them to meet each other? (Like pets)
When somebody has to go on a mission that takes a while, would they leave their darling with a trusted friend or just the watchtower in general?
I really think it depends, like Bruce Wayne's darling will just be kept at Wayne Manor, and probably has never met anyone from the Justice League or their darlings unless they come around to the manor. She has the boys and Alfred to keep her company when Bruce is gone.
Arthur Curry and Diana are similar to Bruce in that way, Arthur's darling is kept safe underneath the ocean's surface, keeping her safe where he knows he has control and no one will ever dare to harm her unless they wish to anger him. Then Diana's darling will be taken to Themyscira to live with her and the Amazons, but Diana will take her darling to visit other members of the Justice League and their darlings, probably Clark and his darling because of how well their darlings get along, they were probably college roommates or something, like sisters and since Clark has his darling Diana does not need to worry about hers.
Then for the others like Barry Allen, Hal Jordan, Clark Kent, they are all yanderes with delusional tendencies to different extents.
Barry is slightly lucid, but he tells himself over and over again that this is truly for the best and they can have a somewhat normal life together, he comes home from his civilian work every day as a scientist for the Central City Police Department and provides for her, it is completely normal as long as she does not try to leave the house because he set up sensors at the doors and windows to notify him whenever something is opened and he always comes running home quite literally to bring her back inside which is followed by a lecture about how he is just trying to keep her safe and...
honestly, at the two-minute mark, his darling just clocks out because it is always the same thing over again and she does not need to hear the same forty-minute speech about her behavior.
But Barry lets his darling socialize with other darlings or Justice League members, bringing her along to meetings or when they go on missions and a League member stays behind to look after their darlings, and when it is a bigger threat that requires the whole League he is an absolute mess before leaving her in the watchtower, kissing her all over and telling her how much he loves her before he had to run off to you know save the world.
Clark is purely delusional to the point where he firmly believes what he is doing is right, no way about it, he genuinely believes his darling would be dead without him, and to some extent, he is right because they probably met when he saved her life as Superman. His darling honestly won't even have time to realize something is wrong because by the time she even realizes someone is watching her, she is going to be waking up with Clark holding her in his arms, acting like they have been together for years. Similar to Barry he knows when his darling is doing something she shouldn't because of his super hearing he is always listening in to at least some extent, Sometimes it's everything, but most of the time it is just her breathing or heartbeat which can tell a lot of things like when a person is panicked.
Clark does not bring his darling along as much as Barry does, he cannot risk losing her if anything goes wrong, that being said his darling does have slightly more freedom than most, but that is because he has her in the middle of nowhere with no car and everything too far to walk on foot, especially because to be honest his darling is going to have kids and get pregnant sooner than some of the other darlings who will because Clark definitely has babyfever. So besides she'll be busy taking care of the house and or resting if she's pregnant most of the day to socialize. However, if a dangerous situation did arise that all the Justice League needed to deal with he would leave his darling at the watchtower because he would have no idea when he would be home and back with her, and at least he knows she would be safe enough there and have other company so she won't be losing her mind in loneliness. Clark being Clark would be constantly worrying about her, especially if she was pregnant or already had given birth.
Okay assuming that you are referring to this post in the ask with Hal having a Detective Darling who is on the trail of the kidnappings of the darlings of the Justice League. Hal is very protective of his darling, especially after what happened to her and the fact that he was not able to protect her then. Due to his work as a Green Lantern half of the time he has his darling staying in the watchtower because he is off-planet so often, this is pretty standard for any darling of a Green Lantern in the Justice League so those darlings are all pretty close. Then there are the lucky times when all the Lanterns are busy and or off-planet and all of them are left to speak freely without one of them reporting to the others if anything concerning was said, drinking and gossiping. Honestly, if any of the other darlings of the Justice League were around, they kinda would feel like they are intruding on the group of the Green Lanterns' darlings.
I could just imagine Clark's or Barry's darling meeting Hal's darling, the same one the Justice League worried about exposing the League. They had heard about her via listening on meetings when they were brought along, or Hal talking about her and they had a small hope that someone would still be out there looking for them until they heard of her getting paralyzed from the waist down on a different case and Hal taking her in and taking care of her and they just felt horrible for her because she just wanted to help them and other people but it ended up costing her everything and they feel like it is all their fault.

Luna twisted a ring on her finger. "You're sure this will work, are you?"
"It worked for me and Ron, so, yeah, I think so," Harry said, pulling out the Stone. It had shown him his mother and father and Sirius and Remus, and Harry was curious who it would show Luna.
As she turned it over in her fingers, figures began to pop up. First, a boy and a girl who looked similar to Luna, one with blonde braids and the other with cornrows. Next was a smirking dyed blonde with eyeliner. Close behind her was a tall woman Harry recognized from the papers as Dorcas Meadowes. Soon after appeared a taller boy not much older than Luna or Harry who looked rather like Sirius, and then Remus.
"Luna," said the girl with blonde braids. She was clearly Pandora Lovegood, Luna's mom.
"Mum," Luna said, then turned her head to each spirit in turn. "Uncle Evan. Aunt Lennie, Aunt Cassie. Uncle Reg. Uncle Remus."
"You're tall now, Luna-girl," the dyed blonde Luna had addressed as Aunt Lennie said. "Last I saw you, you weren't much bigger than a bottle of soap."
"Yeah, she's got the Black eyes, too," the boy who was clearly Regulus Black said, smiling softly. "I guess I didn't live long enough to see that. We match."
Luna smiled back at him. Knowing when Regulus died, Harry knew that they wouldn't have met. Harry wondered why he had appeared. By all accounts, he shouldn't have.
"You've got the right idea, Luna," Remus said suddenly. "You might try that. We've got some lovebirds here who need to catch up."
"What, like you?" Luna's Aunt Lennie said teasingly, poking a ghostly finger into his arm.
Luna laughed softly as the spirits began to bicker good-naturedly, and she passed the Stone to Harry.
He took it, a bit confused, and his father appeared, then Lily, then Sirius.
"The fuck?" Sirius said, looking around. "Reg, what are you doing here?"
"I brought him," Luna said. "I wanted to meet him."
Harry took a look around and found the way the spirits were standing- odd. His father was standing next to Regulus. His mum was standing next to Luna's. Remus and Sirius were standing together, closer than he'd ever seen them in life.
"Haz," James said, eyebrows knitting together, "Do you not know?"
"I don't think Luna does either," Dorcas said, smirking sideways at the dyed blonde next to her.
"Stop being horny for Marlene, Cassie, you're dead," Regulus said.
"Know what?" Harry asked, trying to direct the conversation.
Sirius's only response was to hold up his left had. A sparkling ring was on it, gold amidst all of his silver. Remus held up his hand as well to show the same ring.
"The fuck?" James shrieked, flying to tackle the two. "You got engaged and didn't tell me?"
"Well, yeah, Prongs, it happened the night before you died," Sirius replied, voice muffled.
"Us, too," Luna's mum said quietly, holding up her and Harry's mum's joined hands.
Harry blinked repeatedly, trying to process what Pandora had just said.
"Dora, you can't just drop that on them, they'll freak," said the boy with cornrows. "Also, where's Barty?"
"Barty Crouch Jr?" Harry asked. "Why?"
"He's the love of my life and he held me while I died, duh," said the man who had to be Evan Rosier.
Luna's shoulders slumped. "He impersonated Alastor Moody for nine months and kept him in a box, attempted to have Harry killed by Voldemort, and was given the Dementor's Kiss."
There was a noticable posture change for all of them. Dorcas, James, and Regulus slouched a little, but Evan brightened. "Petty motherfucker."
"Topic at hand, Ev," Pandora said.
Lily grinned at Harry's dumbfounded look. "Yup, Haz. I was a surrogate for these two fucking idiots because Reg wanted a kid and James will do anything for him, at all, ever."
"Rude," James said, arms crossed playfully.
"True," Regulus countered, sharing a grin with Remus.
Harry wasn't quite sure what was happening anymore, but he knew one thing for sure: these were people he really should've grown up with.

Talking to Stanley really did make her feel a lot better. And knowing there's someone out in the world that she trusts and feels safe and comfortable being herself with is something she wasn't sure she'd ever get to feel. She can't stop smiling, all the way back to the shack.
--
Relief floods her at seeing the whole shabang so subdued. There are way less people and blessedly, thankfully, Thistle and his goons (and Carla) are gone. She stands off to the side as Stan talks with his brother, not wanting to butt in, but she does make an incredulous face at the mention of clones.
She then offers a half nervous and half sheepish grin at the mention of Thistle. She puts her hands in her pockets and looks around, rocking on her feet. She catches sight of the clock and makes note that her Ma likely would be showing up soon.
"Thistle shouldn't be driving. He probably has a concussion." Aggie says nonchalantly. "Hi Ford." She adds with a smile. "Clones, huh?" Ford manages a sort of distant shrug.
"Long story." He replies, sounding tired. Aggie's about to ask for the story when the boys Great Aunt comes up to them.
(Cut to preserve the dash.)
"There you two are!" She says brightly, getting a good look at her nephew. "I heard you got in a fight with that hippie kid. You musta won, though, you look totally fine."
"He did." Aggie interjects. "He was awesome." She looks at Stanley with a slightly mischievous and knowing smile.
"Well! Good for you, Tiger!" She ruffles Stanley's hair, and also does Ford's too because she doesn't want him to feel left out. "But please try not to fight patrons during shack events, kay? It’s bad for business." She turns her attention to Aggie. "And you, missy, missed your Ma."
"I did?" Aggie checks the clock again. "She was sposed to come at nine... That clock says 8?"
"That clock's broke, Aggie." Mabel pats her head, "Don't sweat it, I told your Ma that I'd keep ya tonight." Aggie stares at Mabel, her confusion extremely obvious. That was so out of character for her Ma it was almost unnerving. Her Ma didn't trust anyone so why would she be willing to leave her with Mabel, a woman that as far as Aggie knows, is a total stranger. But she decides not to look a gift horse in the mouth.
"A-alright. Thank you, Miss Mabel. I've never slept at a place that ain't my house before-"
"You've never been to a slumber party before?" Mabel looks absolutely horrified as she grabs Aggie in a hug, "You poor thing! You've been deprived of one of childhood's greatest joys!" Aggie looks at her friends helplessly as she's hugged so fiercely by this weird old woman. "This is going to be so fun!" Mabel sets a flustered and slightly disheveled Aggie back on the floor. "Boys, since Carla took off with her boyfriend we need extra hands to clean this place up." She looks towards her other employee, who's helping herself to leftover snacks. "Maria! You're with me, we've got Slumber party prep to do!" Maria salutes her boss, and Mabel addresses the rest of the room at large: "Alright, folks! Thanks for coming! But if you're not one of these three kids, please leave! Thank you!" When the place doesn't immediately start to clear she adds, "I said PLEASE.!" With a very serious weirdly threatening edge that gets the few remaining people to leave. "Alrighty! Boys, get cleaning, Maria, with me, and Aggie- You... You can just hang out."
"I can help clean?" Aggie adds, "I don't mind." Mabel clicks her fingers at her and offers two thumbs up.
"That's why I like you, sweetie. You don't mind things! I love it!" And the kooky old lady is gone, her handygirl following behind. Within a minute or two, its just the three of them.
"Your house is so fun." Aggie says, grinning at the boys.
Stan reaches out his hand, pinkie extended to match Aggie’s.
“Promise” he says solemnly, as he links pinkie fingers with hers. “You’re the only friend I’ve made this summer, I’d never want to break your trust Aggie…” he smiles. There are certain points in your life that you know will always remember. Stan knew that this would be one of them.
“Lets get back to that party. I think I’ve already got my dance partner right here after all.”
———
Once they got back to the Shack, the party had died down a great deal. Graunty Mabel was contentedly knitting on a folding chair in a corner. The record player was skipping, playing the same five second snippet of a song in a loop. And Ford stood in the middle of the dance-floor, looking slightly dazed, with a thousand yard stare.
Stan walks up to him, and eyes him up and down.
“What the heck happened to you Sixer?” Stan asked, waving a hand in front of Ford’s field of vision to see if he was awake.
“Clones. I made temporary clones with the copy-machine in Graunty Mabel’s office. Bad idea. Tried to impress Fidds. You?” Ford said in a halting voice like he was still trying to get over what had just happened.
“Tried to impress Carla McCorkle. Didn’t work.” Stan shrugged, taking Ford’s revelation in stride. “Thistle Downe didn’t like that.” He looks over to Aggie. “Good thing I had a friend here to help me out.” He smiles.
“Speaking of, where are they are all?” Stan asks, looking around the nearly empty function room.
“They left about 30 minutes ago. All drove off in Thistle’s van. Said something about how this party was for babies anyway.” Ford shrugged.
He looks at Aggie, as though realising she’s there all of a sudden.
“Oh hey Aggie.”
#**that line about her being his dance partner after all??? the way i screamed and also cried#**sorry this is incredibly long i just wanted to establish the next scene if you will???#**i figure aggie will be like hang on boys i got this and clean up the room with magic and ford will have a heart attack#**idk i kinda went a little crazy my bad#**relativity falls

∆ The gigantic book that Ms. Birchthorn hugs to herself wherever she goes is a journal/sketchbook: full of her ideas for outfits and clothing.
There are also sections for poems that she writes for the online workshop.
∆ Ms. Birchthorn doesn't know who her father is (nor does she care).
∆ Her mother didn't earn much.
One time, when Clover was six, her mother sewed together clothing for her out of curtains.
Clover had loved to watch her mother quilt on snowdays...
But to make clothing to actually put on and wear?
This, to her, felt like magic!
From that day on, Ms. Birchthorn was determined to learn to sew, too.
With the additional help and advice of the old folks on the online seamstress and tailoring forums, she's gotten rather good at it.
...
🥺👉🏾👈🏾 Uhhhhmmm, and now I get why she's often uptight about time -- down to being concerned about the passing of seconds.
∆ Her respect for the passing of seconds, begins with a favorite toddlerhood toy clock her mother would wind up:
youtube
∆ When she was five -- shortly after they'd watched a corny old musical together, and her mother tried to put her to bed -- Clover wound up the clock, and sang:
🎶"Just a-nother second, please, be-fore sleep,
Just a-nother second, please, be-fore school--,
Just a-no...ther... second-of-holding-me: for I love...you...so!...."🎶
Her mother laughed in surprise, and smoothed her forehead, and hugged and held her until the wind-up clock ran out.
So Clover made this a habit: if she knew that she was supposed to go somewhere, and she truly didn't want to leave her mother just yet, she wound up this clock and asked for just one last hug.
Every time, it'd take only one or two minutes to wind down...
Yet, it's one of her favorite things to remember about her Mom.
Because now?
Her mother's gone away...
Understand?
Her mother is still alive...but their time together ran out.
Clover's only friend, and almost her entire support system...and she doesn't even visit her.
Because her mother never remembers who she is; and it hurts so much, she can't take it.
So now Clover is so incredibly grateful, that she ever thought to do that: to devise a silly trick, to get her mother to stop, and spend time with her in that very particular way....
Because, when she's lonely, upset, or sad or frightened, she takes a deep breath... and closes her eyes...
And, if she can focus, Ms. Birchthorn hears the ticking of the clock, and the little music...
And it's like she can feel her mother's arms around her.
BECAUSE she childishly insisted on those few, precious seconds, Clover can carry those memories, those moments, within her now.
It's something no one can take away from her.
Whenever she needs someone, she at least has that.
∆ These things aren't anything that she'd tell people on her own.
But if you're in her apartment, in her Mom's old room, you might notice that the toy clock is on the dresser, with a piece of fabric draped neatly over it.
A mannequin, with a nearly-finished dress that Clover had been making for her Mom's birthday, is similarly standing by the dresser, draped neatly with a sheet.
∆ The online forums only deepened the lesson that time with people is precious, and shouldn't be wasted on pettiness or cruelties.
The forums have been wonderful for advancing her craft...yet, these particular places are where people her own age rarely ever appear.
It's why she sometimes comes across like a little old lady. 👵🏾
All her online interactions are with people 50 & 60+...
...and that is also why the concept of losing people is extremely normal to her.
The hippie woman who first taught her how to create sewing patterns, instead of just following them?
Is gone.
That crabby mentor who goaded and encouraged her to write better poems?
He's gone, too.
Each person that those elder communities lose has a little indexed section on the forums' "Remembrance" boards: complete with memorial picture, brief profile, and some of their best works...
It hurts.
And they all miss them.
But it happens rather regularly.
So, there's no sense in trying to hide from these deaths, or even from the idea of death: because it does, and WILL, keep happening to these older communities.
You simply learn to enjoy each connection for as long as you have them.
∆ (....
😳 Of course, given all this new information, it freaks me out a little that Ms. Birchthorn was THAT upset when everyone thought that Evan was going to leave.
"Lions are big and frightening...but they protect their pride...Why can't you?? 🥺😣"
She cried so hard...
It was silent. She bit her lip. She hid her face behind her book, not wanting to affect his decision too much...
But she was really crushed.
Maybe it was because this was going to be someone that she really cared about, who was going to go and forget everything about her...just like her Mom did?)
∆ Her mother knew they were isolated, and tried to socialize her more by watching Mr. Rodgers and Sesame Street and Bob Ross with her.
Yet, when Clover started trying to interact irl, she found that there were a lot of people who were mean and unreasonable and bullying...and eventually, she felt like..."WHY in the world am I pushing myself trying to spend my precious time on these people? ಠ_ಠ"
From that point on, she learned to prefer the company of books.
...So when I say that, every now and again, she stops dead in her tracks and thinks,
"Wow. It's been so many seconds... and these people...Sam and Dream and Jammer and Evan... they're *still talking to me.* 😦
"...They're still spending their time on me."
.......
Then she realizes: "I don't mind spending my time on them, either. (・–・;)ゞ I like to! 😅"
And that just kind of knocks her for a loop, to think of that, once in a while. n.n
It all makes her so very quietly happy. ❤️🩹✨
∆ I can imagine that she eventually starts designing outfits for the other Misfits.
Maybe she'd offer to create formal wear for whatever prom situation they might get into.
∆ *Slogging through physical therapy*
∆ *Figure I'll try Misfits and Magic from the beginning, see what the fuss is all about*
∆ Ohh yay, with Lou Wilsooon!!! 🥳😃
∆ *As usual, an OC shows up* Carayiinedahtt (Ka-rai-EE-neh-daht) Clover Violet Birchthorn: Brains 20, Flight 12, Grit 10, Brawn 8, Charm 6, Fight 4
∆ Just say "Clover". Or "Violet". It hardly matters.
∆ 16. She/Her/Hers. Chubby, short, brown-skinned, big-eyed, perpetually-frowning, victorian-esque aura'ed, mostly silent little freak
∆ Constantly clutching a gigantic hardcover book to her chest and staring over top of it
∆ Big fluffy black Afro kept neatly back with a strip of pale-green brocade fabric.
Wearing vintage-esque, handmade, pale-green fit&flare dress, her missing biker uncle's beat-up black leather retro motorcycle jacket, black steel toe construction boots, and a big emerald green backpack
∆ This is basically that feral AF kid who walks blindingly fast down the hallways, never talks to anyone, and refuses to use her locker ever -- she just carries everything no matter how fucking heavy wtf
∆ *Best friend/Mom took sick with a type of illness-induced dementia when she was 10, and was put in a home....Uncle is nice enough, but he's in and out of the apartment unpredictably, never know when or if he's gonna be around*
∆ *tended only to interact with elderly people on writing workshop or seamstressing/tailoring forums*
∆ *Forged uncle's signature on wizarding school application*
∆ She came for the books.
She really only cares about books, she gave up on people a loooonnnnggggg time ago ...but boy, if the library here is how she dreams it might be?....SHE WILL NEVER LEAVE
∆ ZERO compunction telling the trio, "Go away, you suck. 😬😐" ....impatient because, ultimately, they're wasting her reading time and precious seconds of her attention span on being mean for no reason. Dolts. If you're going to waste time at least be friendly or interesting or helpful or fun or else what's the damned point?
∆ *intense, rude crow familiar with one wandering eye who side-eyes everyone just as much as she does*
∆ *glad about the sorting*
∆ *Does giggle with child-like delight at the sapient cauldron and is in deeply respectful awe of the nature teacher*
∆ Me: "Huh. Okay. ...Well I guess she'll get along with Jammer the most? He's the most encouraging among them....or maybe she'll see Sam Black as a big sister? ....🤔 At any rate, those two will probably be the ones to pry her out of that welded-closed shell...."
∆ NOPE.
∆ *watch her eyes get even bigger and sparkly whenever Evan talks knowledge/trivia*
∆ *watch her face cycle through indignant anger and sadness at Evan's struggles*
∆ *starts shadowing behind him and glaring at anyone who looks at him sideways, FIERCELY protective*
∆ *finally hugs Evan, clingy -- like a little kid with a trusted parent in uncertain company*
∆ *sees Dream get kinda' jealous*
∆ *Shadows and gets really close to Dream and looks up and points and goes, "🤨That's my big brother. He's really tall...Did you want to be his girlfriend?🤔 He knows a LOT of stuff; and he seems like he's at least TRYING, which most people don't even bother to do...I can give you some space.", just staring unblinking with her big victorian-orphan eyes*
∆ *I choke on my coffee 💀💀💀*

I loved the new IDW Sonic issue! Too bad I know without looking that people are going to be stupid and awful about Lanolin 🫠
#i can already hear it now#''she was a bitch to jet she was acting like the fun police to him''#''she was a bitch to sonic (& tails & amy) by telling them to get off the road before they got run over by oncoming traffic''#was she mean in that second case? yeah her delivery was harsh. but was she also correct? yes#pedestrians shouldn't be on the road & vehicle racetracks count as roads#and the middle of a race isn't the time for a race ref to see if you're OK. just bc Tangle doesn't take her job seriously literally ever#doesn't mean that Lanolin doesn't. doesn't mean Lanolin was wrong in telling Team Sonic to get tf off the racetrack#when they were rendered pedestrians#but we know this fandom can't be normal abt women & esp not Lanolin so. i'm not even going to look at the tag#i know you all can't be trusted. smdh#''we want more nuanced female characters'' y'all can't even handle a sleep deprived sheep for fucksake#ETA: okay Tangle does take her job seriously SOMETIMES. on rare occasions#she was serious in the latter half of Tangle & Whisper as well as Metal Virus and latter half of Urban Warfare#but v often she doesn't take things seriously. here she def wasn't with being all OMG HI GUYS!!!!!!!!! mid race#i love her but girl come on. focus.

I think I might get into the thriller/mystery genre. I've always been a huge fantasy fan, but I've recently run into three problems.
I used to read fantasy books where Sapphic (I'd say 'lesbian' but let's be so fr) romance was the focal point/end game. However, they are often so damn disappointing and I'm honestly really tired of feeling that way. I love lesbian books but they're either actually bi books or like. Memoirs. Or, worse, depressing/don't end how I'd like.
I can't take straight romance seriously at all so that's a no go.
Fantasy without romance often doesn't catch my eye. I'm not saying I wouldn't enjoy such a book, but just that none have really jumped out to me as a must read.
It's been a while since I read anything, and I miss it quite a bit but I don't feel like the "well-written fantastical lesbian romance" genre is a long list (believe me, I looked) and straight romances are corny. I'd be willing to read a no-romance fantasy book but ones that suit me are so hard to find.
All that to say that I think I might like the mystery/thriller genre? I'm actually currently making my way through "the girl on the train" audiobook and I like it a fair amount. This may be the right direction to go in to get back into reading.
#I don't like straight romance but girl on the train had convinced me I like bitter straight divorce#Rachel is so toxic but so real#I know I shouldn't support the things she says about Anna but it's honestly so real#That bitterness is fr fr so true to life#I also think I could stomach straight romance after the character suffers intense heartbreak#I'd love to see Rachel tended to by a nice man who loves her and treats her well#THAT'S cute as hell#Tho it does often make me wish the characters were lesbians#I don't like the horror genre at all but I might really like thrillers and mysteries#I think I can get behind that shit#Strange towns with even stranger people?#That might be exactly what I need fr#I'm just musing BTW#Not really looking for anything by writing this. Just thinking
