This is my first time requesting something so I donât really know how to do it lol but would you be able to write a shanks x reader where shanks is readers captain and confesses to her? Thank you!
SOULTIES. . .
â
summary: shanks confesses his love for you. (fem!reader)
â
warnings: one piece antics, ooc!shanks, reader is extroverted, angst if you squint, idiots in love, reader and shanks mightâve manifested each other (soulmates basically), assassin!reader, fluff/somewhat suggestive (thanks beckmann!!), WC: â1.8KâŚis this a drabble?!
â
an: never really thought abt writing for shanks so thank you for this request! i tried my best so i hope its somewhat something you wanted, anon! ^^
shankâs sure youâre secretly a witch that has some sort of past-life soul tie to him.
he thinks maybe itâs because heâs somewhat always drawn to you; itâs subtle, but whenever he feels your presence near him, he searches for your figure. itâs also somewhat obvious, to everyone but you. maybe you did know of his infatuation with you, maybe you didnât.
but shanks felt his life change the day you were found hiding in his ship, demanding that he and his men accept you, claiming you have nothing else better to do with your time and that youâve always wanted to explore the world. he didnât have much of a choice, considering the red-haired pirates had already been at sea for three days since their last stop.
you snuck on the red force during a party thrown by locals for the pirates, hiding in a supply closet, discovered by the right-hand man of the captain. at first, you were worried of what they might do to you, but then remembered that they were just men.
âwell, sweets,â the man said. âiâm sure a woman wouldnât just waltz her way onto a very notorious pirate ship and not know how to fend for herselfâŚ?â
you smirk at him, a spark in your eyes as the tone of your voice held a slight challenge. âi was trained to be an assassin.â
it was then he felt a sudden shift in the air, chuckling at your remark. heâs always up for a new challenge.
âwell, we got a reason to party boys!â
again, heâs sure thereâs a past-life connection between the two of you. (he thought how easily he was able to trust you, after blacking out.)
+x+
itâs been two years since youâve joined the red-haired pirates, time flying as you enjoy the thrills of life. youâve never felt this free before, coming from a noble family and being able to escape thanks to a certain red-haired man. youâve dreamed of life feeling this way since you were a little girl, wondering what beauties your family had kept hidden from you.
youâve learned so much. youâve experienced so much. truth be told, youâre not sure if life could feel any better than this. though, you do wonder what would happen if you fell in love.
youâve been courted by many suitors your entire life, growing up only to be taught two things: how to kill, and how to be a wife. the word love was something you associated with the tortures of your old self, but you feel as if youâre finally ready to experience it on your own; without people in your ear scolding you on how to act and how to âloveâ. you think you have a grasp of what the feeling feels like, but youâre still somewhat unsure.
youâve accepted that your next suitor â someone you already know â is someone who wonât make you feel restricted or tied down. youâve decided that you deserve nothing but the best treatment, and so far on this journey of freedom, one charming pirate captain has set your standards to the sky.
âfood for thought?â a familiar voice breaks your thoughts as you blink back to consciousness, your eyes focusing on the waves in front of you. youâre standing on the observation deck of the red force, a light breeze brushing through your [h/c] locks as your captain stands next to you. in his hand thereâs half of a cookie, a giggle escaping your throat when you notice it.
âis said food present?â you reply back, taking the half-eaten sweet treat anyway. a small chuckle reaches your ears as he leans over the railing, eyes watching the smooth waves. itâs night time now, stars sprinkling the sky. âjust thinking,â you answer his question.
captain shanks. the shanks. a name thatâs feared by many, though itâs one that brings you peace and joy. heâs a charming man, always looking out for not only his crew, but friend and foe alike. your mind canât help but start thinking about marineford, the first time youâve ever seen shanks in the flesh. a beautiful man, you first thought. a powerful one at that too. he looks like freedom.
âhmm. you shouldnât let your thoughts consume you so much.â he states. itâs late and he knows he should be resting, but for some reason he wasnât able to ease his restlessness. when he saw your figure out on deck, he then knew it was you keeping him up. ânot sure what youâre thinking so hard about but if you need a reminder: youâre everything everyone says you are â powerful, beautiful, and intelligent according to the tabloids. a threat to the world, youâre quite the star.â
his words make heat rush to your cheeks, a sudden wave of nervousness hitting you. your relationship with the captain has always been full of back and forth teasing with a few intimate gazes, but to hear him state a compliment so sweet to you makes you want to shy away. instead, you put your brave face on, and return the gesture.
âyeah? and how does the big and scary emperor ease his mind on nights like this?â or maybe not. you internally cringe at your comeback, a feeling of disappointment lingering wishing you had said something more flirty, but as your eyes finally find the captainâs face, a tint of pink painted his cheeks.
âwell this big and scary emperor, usually finds something â or someone â to spend his time with,â this time, shankâs the one cringing internally, the weight of his words settling on him. great, now she must think iâm a whore, he thinks.
you realize youâre both tip-toeing around each other. you both want to say something â which usually isnât this hard â but youâre also both unsure of how the other feels, so youâre holding back.
you sigh as you physically feel your guard being lifted.
âi wonderâŚâ you start quietly. âhow it feels to be in love.â
shankâs eyebrows raise at your confession, something heâs never been told before. heâs had plenty of interactions with women â lovely ones at that â but heâs never heard a woman speak of love so vulnerably. he turns his body to face you, arm resting against the railing of the deck. he takes in your side view, the moon shining down on you so brightly.
and then he feels it, a feeling so foreign yet so familiar to him.
you suddenly turn to face him, eyes catching his in a soft gaze. he looks different, you think. the way his eyes shine brightly from the moonâs rays. the way his hair seemed to be brighter as well, despite the lack of light. you tilt your head, silently questioning his silence, wondering if you had said something stupid.
âhave you ever been in love, captain?â you ask, watching as his eyes widen slightly, your question throwing him off guard.
one of the things shanks admires about you is your curiosity. in the time heâs been around you, heâs noticed many things about you â how you love dancing, eating [f/d], scolding the boys â but your curiosity makes you different from everyone else. people always assume youâre just nosey and full of gossip, but really, youâre just curious.
heâs never heard of you spreading rumors or telling lies, so he knows how genuine you are.
sure, you might overstep boundaries with some people, but shanks never minded answering your questions. youâve confided in him before, telling him how your parents basically shielded you from the outside world. how caged in you felt.
âi thinkâŚâ shanks starts. he steps closer to you, staring down at you. stars reflect in his eyes as he cradles your cheek suddenly, your body relaxing under his touch. âthatâs the feeling i feel when iâm around you.â
you let out a choked breath at his sudden confession, the world around you both going silent. your eyes are wide and your jaw is slightly wide, chest swelling with warmth.
the captain whoâs been helping you to experience true freedom just confessed something so delicate to you.
youâre unsure what to say. it hits you so hard that you feel tears well in your eyes and you feel your throat go dry.
ây-you â you what?!â you say. âyou canât just say something like that out of nowhere, idiot!â you scold the tall man, his eyes closing as he chuckled at your reaction. âsorry, capân. got a lil carried away thereâŚbut do you mean it?â you ask, averting your gaze away from his.
he rubs his thumb across your cheek, looking at you with eyes full of love, as if heâs trying to imprint this image in his head. he thinks about all the teasing the both of you throw, how youâve never been scared to bite back. he thinks about the times heâs watched you publicly shame men who make you disgusted in bars, how your strength impresses him every time. he thinks about the times where heâs been lucky enough to witness you on the battlefield, so full of life despite being surrounded by death.
âyes.â he finally answers, the tension suddenly gone. âyouâve always been so curious about others, itâs made me curious in you. iâve watched you grow over the past two years and somewhere along the way,â
âi fell in love with you. the way you naturally take on responsibility and the way youâre not scared of anything. i fell in love with the way youâve faced death with a smile on your face, how optimistic you are.â
âi fell in love with the way you look in the mornings, the afternoons, and the evenings. and for the first time ever, iâm seeing you this late at night. and you look as beautiful as ever.â
âi fell in love with your presence, how youâre able to shift the energy in the air wherever you go. iâm not sure you even realize your effect in the places we visit. you bring such a lovely, warm spirit into the room, you have no idea how many bad days youâve turned good.â
his words made you sick. your breathing got heavy as he confessed everything heâs learned to love about you, and a feeling youâve desperately tried forgetting crawled its way back into your chest.
this time, your body accepted the feeling and for the first time in your life, your body filled with love. a warmth thatâs somewhat familiar but so distant. something thatâs new, almost sort of a craving you didnât know you were capable of having.
and then, you kissed your captain.
you hoped he felt the love you had for him, words not being enough to describe the emotions running through you. he kissed you back; hand grasping the back of your head gently, pulling you closer to him.
you threw your hands around his neck, shanksâ body jerked forward, his eyes slightly widening at your strength. he relaxed and smiled into the kiss, giving you one last peck before pulling away from your grasp â before you accidentally hurt him.
âwhat? never handled a strong woman before?â you tease, smiling at his small tumble backwards. âi think i feel love when iâm around you too.â
+x+
the next morning, a tired shanks dragged himself into the dining area, pouring himself a cup of coffee. he fails to notice beckmann sitting across from him, too lost in his thoughts; the previous night replaying in his head.
âyouâre an asshole,â beckmann starts. âi get you all had a great night, but not everyone needed auditory confirmation.â
â
an: ahhh!! ty for reading ^^ please feel free to request head canon scenarios!! iâve never written for shanks so i hope i did him somewhat justiceâŚas always, constructive criticism is always appreciated and welcomed!!

Seven brothers and their boyfriends
fifth born Asmodeus and male vampire reader
Smut
đđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ oh my devildom you two would be one of the most envied couples, and how can you deny it? Asmodeus and our dear M/N if with satan it could be said that it was like a fairy tale here it can be said that it is a mixture of porn and sweetness
ďżź when you two met for the first time you realized he was a bit narcissistic but, on the contrary, he was struck by your vampire traits especially by your very sharp teeth and your very brilliant E/C
when you arrived at HOL he didn't invite you, he DRAG you into his room to make you make videos with him, skin care try on clothes now even his live chat asks for you to be present and under his posts his fans they write that they love how your two styles are so different but come together to form a perfect pair
Asmo never misses a chance to flirt with you and of course being the avatar of lust he is sure you will be his and even if you had suitors they would back down knowing they have no chance against Asmo
The brothers are gone now they can't stand hearing Asmo talk 24/7 about how you two would make a perfect match
finally when you two got together EVERYONE breathed a sigh of relief
as for appointments .. we are talking about Asmodeus what can you expect: shopping dates, parties, make overs .. baths with candles, long evenings of sex, flirting, he who sends you photos while you are in class as Simeon would say UNHOLY
Asmo loves how his demon form style matches perfectly with your vampire style
when you two fight? no one can be in the same room while you argue usually you apologize if it's minor even when he's flirting with other demons being that anyway you understand that it's his sin anyway and he can't control it but when things are more serious and you don't apologize Asmo gets worried and comes apologizing crying
during your first month anniversary you brought him some vampire clothes as a gift that he absolutely adores now it was one of his favorite items of clothing
the matching clothes you give him
SMUT
you were looking for bags of blood to buy from akuzon even though you were similar to demons you were not the same

"you know that point is very sensitive right?"
"..."
he didn't say anything I just look at you smiling and with shining eyes
after you reached for his neck biting his neck he moaned and when you were done he held your arm with desperate eyes saying he wanted more
your cock was going in and out of him as you kept biting him all over Asmo loved it it was one of his dirty fantasies, after a while you started to go faster making him see Belphie's dream stars and he start moaning and whine louder not giving a damn about the others who were in the other rooms after your eleventh orgasm you washed him gently and placed him on the bed and you two fell asleep

Omg! Omg! Omg! I loved A flame torn and its second part! I love it! I love it! I love it! After reading both parts, an idea popped up into my head! Maegor and Visenya arrange a tourney for the reader's nameday.
They desire to find a suitor for her, a strong man, a capable warrior and one who can help provide reader with genetically strong children- ( if she's to be her father's heir when he takes the thone)
A lone knight whose identity is hidden bests all the competition and wins the tourney takes off his helmet and it is none other than Prince Aegon, the crown Prince âşâşâş
A Flame Torn (unworthy)
- Summary: Maegor and Visenya organize a tourney for your nameday, so a worthy match is found for you. But instead of gaining something, you lost it anew.Â
- Paring: cousin!reader/Aegon (The Uncrowned) Targaryen
- Rating: Mature 16+
- Previous part: a year too late
- Next part: broken
- Tag(s): @sachaa-ff @alyssa-dayne @oxymakestheworldgoround @callsignwidow
The sun shone bright over the tourney grounds. The air was filled with the sounds of clashing steel, the rumble of hooves on packed dirt, and the cheers of the crowd. This tournament had been called in honor of your nameday, but its true purpose went deeper than mere celebration. It was no secret to anyone present that Prince Maegor and Dowager Queen Visenya sought a suitor for youâsomeone strong, capable, and worthy of your lineage.
You sat on a raised dais beneath the fluttering black and red banners of House Targaryen, the Valyrian blood of Old Valyria represented by each stroke of the dragon emblem. On one side of you sat your father, Prince Maegor, his armor gleaming even in the heat of the day, his ever-watchful eyes scanning the field for any sign of weakness in the competitors. His presence was a wall of power and menace, casting a long shadow over the tourney proceedings. On your other side sat your mother, Lady Ceryse of House Hightower, her demeanor as stiff and formal as ever, though her sharp gaze rarely left you, a constant reminder of the duty you bore.
Further along the dais sat your grandmother, Visenya, her piercing eyes calm yet observant. She said little, but her presence was no less commanding than Maegorâs. She had long been preparing you for this momentâthe choice of a match that would shape your future, strengthen your claim, and ensure your power.
Further down the line, separated by more distance than blood, sat King Aenys I Targaryen, with his family: Queen Alyssa, their daughter Rhaena, and the young Prince Jaehaerys and Princess Alysanne. Aenys, for all his softness, had no choice but to yield to Maegorâs demands for the tourney, especially with Maegor seated as his Hand. There was an unspoken tension between the two brothers, though Aenys' gentle nature seemed to make him oblivious to the true intent behind todayâs spectacle.
As the first rounds of the tourney unfolded, you kept your gaze fixed on the field, trying to mask the disinterest gnawing at you. Knights from all over the realm competed, their skill and strength varying. Some jousted with grace, others with brute force. But none had managed to spark even a flicker of interest within you. You had learned well the lesson of strength from your father, and none of these knights seemed worthy of the legacy that your blood demanded.
Then, as the next round began, a knight rode onto the field. His armor gleamed, but unlike the others, he bore no sigils, no house markings. He was a mystery, his identity hidden behind the polished helm. His horse was well-bred, moving with the precision and ease of a steed that had been trained for battle. There was a collective murmur in the crowd as this unnamed knight took his place, facing down his first opponent.
Your attention was drawn to him immediately, curiosity sparking at the way he moved with a grace that belied his size. He bore himself like a man with something to prove, each of his movements deliberate and calculated. When the charge began, he met his opponentâs lance with precision, unseating the knight with such force that the crowd erupted into cheers.
Beside you, Maegorâs gaze narrowed, his hand curling around the arm of his seat. He leaned slightly toward you, his voice low. âThat one fights like a warrior of true skill. He has strength.â
You nodded, though your thoughts were tangled. Something about this knight unsettled you, though you could not place why. His anonymity, his silenceâthere was a quiet intensity in the way he fought, as though he had something to hide. And yet, you could not tear your eyes away.
The knight continued to win his matches, cutting through the competition with a ruthless efficiency that made the other jousters pale in comparison. After his third victory, he dismounted to fight in the melee, where he proved himself even further. His sword flashed like lightning, parrying and striking with a fluidity that left no room for error. Every opponent fell before him, and soon, whispers began to spread through the crowd. Who was this knight who bore no sigil and yet fought like a dragon reborn?
âI want his identity,â Maegor muttered to Visenya, who nodded imperceptibly, her sharp eyes already narrowing on the mysterious knight. Your grandmother was not a woman easily impressed, but even she seemed intrigued by this man who fought with the kind of skill and ferocity that had made her a legend.
As the final round of the melee approached, the unnamed knight stood victorious against the last of his challengers, his breastplate dented but his stance unbroken. The crowd roared its approval, but he remained silent, offering no salute, no acknowledgment of the accolades. He simply stood there, waiting, like a shadow cast by the dragons circling overhead.
From where you sat, you felt the weight of his attention shift. Though his face was hidden behind his visor, you could sense his gaze fixed on you, burning through the metal of his helm. It was a strange sensation, unsettling yet thrilling. You refused to meet his gaze, keeping your eyes on the field instead, your hands gripping the arms of your seat.
Your father glanced at you, noticing your shift in posture. âDo you like what you see?â he asked, though there was an edge to his voice. His words were less a question and more a challenge.
âI do not know,â you replied, your voice calm. âI cannot judge a manâs worth when I do not know who he is.â
Maegorâs lips curled into something like a smile. âA name does not make a man worthy, Y/N. Strength does. And this knightâwhoever he isâpossesses both.â
Visenya leaned forward slightly, her voice as cold and sharp as the blade she once wielded. âA nameless man who fights with such purpose often has something to prove, or something to hide. Either way, we will know soon enough.â
The final bout was announced, and the nameless knight stood in the center of the field, awaiting his last challenger. You watched, your heart beating faster than it should have. This tournament had been meant to find a suitor for youâa man strong enough to stand at your side, to secure the bloodline of House Targaryen. Yet this knight, this shadow in shining armor, had unsettled something within you.
The horn sounded, and the final match began. But as the two knights clashed, your thoughts were elsewhereâon the man behind the mask, and what his presence here might mean for your future.
The roar of the crowd rose to a fevered pitch as the final blow was struck. The last opponent crumpled to the ground, defeated by the skill and ferocity of the nameless knight. The cheers echoed through the tourney grounds, but the knight remained still, his breath heavy beneath the gleaming helmet. He stood in the center of the field, victorious.
Your heart raced as you watched, a sinking feeling settling in your stomach. There was something unsettling about this moment, something you couldnât place, but you knew it wasnât over yet. The knight slowly raised his hands to his helmet, and the crowd fell into a hushed anticipation.
With a fluid motion, he removed the helm, and gasps rippled through the audience as his face was revealed.
It was Prince Aegon.
A stunned silence followed, and then murmurs began to ripple through the stands. Your father, Maegor, stiffened beside you, his eyes narrowing in cold fury. Farther down the dais, King Aenys leaped to his feet, shock and worry etched on his face.
âAegon!â Aenys called out, his voice tinged with a mixture of surprise and fear. âWhat is the meaning of this?â
Aegon, helmet in hand, stood tall in the center of the field, his gaze briefly flicking to you before settling on his father. âI fought in this tourney, as any knight would. I have won fairly, and I seek no dishonor in doing so.â
But your gaze faltered, unable to meet his, your heart torn between the boy you once loved and the man standing before you now. Visenyaâs sharp eyes cut through the tension like a blade, her gaze locking on you for a brief moment before shifting to Aegon. She could sense the storm that was about to break.
And then, before anyone could react, Maegor stood and leapt down from his seat, his heavy boots hitting the ground with a resounding thud. His presence alone was enough to silence the growing whispers from the crowd. He drew Blackfyre, the Valyrian steel sword of your ancestors, the blade gleaming darkly under the midday sun. The metal hummed with power, the threat of violence clear in the way Maegor gripped it.
Aegon took an instinctive step back, his posture stiffening at the sight of his uncle approaching with murderous intent. His hand dropped to the hilt of his own sword, though his hesitation betrayed the uncertainty flickering in his eyes.
âUncle,â Aegon began, raising his voice so it carried across the grounds. âI won this tourney, fairly and with skill. This is notââ
âYou have won nothing,â Maegor snarled, his voice low and dangerous. âYou think parading around in armor, hiding behind a mask, earns you respect? You think this pathetic display makes you worthy?â
Aegonâs jaw clenched, his grip tightening around the pommel of his sword. âI earned this victory. I do not seek your approvalââ
But before he could finish, Maegor charged. The crowd gasped in shock as the mighty former Prince of Dragonstone bore down on Aegon, Blackfyre flashing in the sunlight. Aegon barely had time to draw his own blade before Maegorâs attack collided with him. The clash of steel echoed through the grounds, followed by the sound of gasping onlookers.
King Aenys rose from his seat, panic in his voice as he called out, âMaegor! Stop this madness! He is your nephew!â
But Maegor paid no heed. His face was twisted into a sneer of pure contempt as he swung Blackfyre again and again, each strike heavy with brutal force. Aegon struggled to keep up, parrying blow after blow, but the difference in their strength was evident. With each clash, Maegor drove Aegon further back, his attacks relentless.
âYou are weak,â Maegor hissed between strikes. âPathetic.â
Aegon grunted as he barely blocked another vicious strike, his feet stumbling on the uneven ground. He tried to counter, but Maegor was faster, stronger. And then, with a swift and merciless slash, Blackfyre found its mark. The blade cut into Aegonâs side, and he cried out, staggering back as blood began to seep through his armor.
The crowd was silent, too shocked to react. Queen Alyssa stood with her hands pressed to her mouth, Rhaena frozen in her seat, and Aenys, helpless to intervene, called once more, âMaegor, stop this now!â
Maegor stood over Aegon, his chest heaving, the bloodied tip of Blackfyre gleaming in the sunlight. He looked down at his nephew with cold disdain. âYou are nothing, Aegon,â he said, his voice like ice. âYou always were.â
Aegon clutched his side, his breathing labored, but he met his uncleâs gaze with defiance. âI⌠I fought for her,â he rasped, his voice barely audible.
But Maegor didnât flinch. He simply sheathed Blackfyre and turned away, his voice echoing through the silence. âYou will never be worthy of her.â
As Maegor strode back toward the dais, healers rushed to Aegonâs side, but you could not bear to watch any longer. Your heart twisted painfully in your chest as you looked at himâbleeding, broken, and still fighting for something that could never be. The love you had once felt for him was buried now, beneath years of heartache and betrayal.
You gave him one last, strained glance, your eyes betraying nothing but a quiet sadness. And then, without a word, you rose from your seat and followed your family, leaving Aegon behind in the dust of the tourney grounds. The sound of your footsteps faded into the growing hum of whispers from the crowd, but you didnât look back. Not this time.
Visenya and Maegor walked ahead, silent but victorious in their own ways. They had given you what they believed you neededâa suitor strong enough to command respect, or a lesson in what weakness truly looked like. You, however, felt only a hollow ache, knowing that, despite Aegonâs defiance, he had lost something far greater than a tournament. And so had you.

the best man â daniel ricciardo
daniel ricciardo x you (femreader) | 6.5k summary â heâs the best man, youâre the maid of honour. heâs charming and handsome, youâre single and looking for a good time. itâs an open bar wedding in swan valley and oh, heâs your ex boyfriend â what could go wrong? warnings â 18+ (sex, coarse language)
It had been 2 years in the making, the event of the decade your best friend had humbly coined her nuptials. And she was right â her and Blake had been waiting for what felt like a lifetime to show their love to the world or more specifically, to nearly 400 of their closest friends and family. It had been quite the build up with a global pandemic getting in the way and coordinating a wedding in Australia when so many of their guests were travelling in from overseas wasnât easy. But they persevered and had finally made it to their wedding eve, guests from around the world checking into nearby hotels and resorts, excited for their big day.
For you, however, it was the rehearsal dinner that had you on edge from the second you stepped off your delayed Qantas flight that morning â stomach in knots over the unknown of it all. The few details that you were aware of were the ones that had you tangled up; the first being that you were Sarahâs maid of honour, one that you took very seriously but because of the border lockdowns and hectic work schedules, you hadnât been as involved as you wouldâve liked.
The second detail was the one that really had you in a chokehold. Up until this point, youâd avoided the inevitable, relief washing over you every time either Blake or Sarah said he couldnât make it to the wedding party zoom call or when a suit fitting that Sarah had begged you to come along to was cancelled. Avoiding him had been a breeze so far, your communications kept mediated between your two best friends.
But today was D-day.
âYou are rocking that LBD, girlie.â
Sarahâs voice brought you out of your phone and into the present, her bright white smile lighting up the room. It was the happiest youâd even seen your best friend and that alone was enough of a reason to grin and bear what was to come with him.
âWell I am technically single and hopefully out of the thousands of people youâve invited to your shin-dig, thereâs at least one suitor for me to have a crack at,â You winked, âBut not your uncle Graham â heâs not my type.â
Sarah rolled her eyes and turned towards the full length mirror propped up beside your chair, âHeâs back with Aunty Shirl so donât worry⌠But I do know someone else who is single â definitely your type and actually mentioned you a few times last week.â
An interested hum slipped from your lips, curious to know who had been asking about you. Maybe you were in luck.
âWho was it?â
The way Sarah smirked and flicked her long blonde, perfectly curled hair off her shoulder shouldâve given her away; âJust a friend of Blakeâs â the classic tall, dark and handsome, you know⌠Brown eyes, absolutely hilarious and such a gentlemanâŚâ She continued, her tone teasing.
You blinked a couple of times, completely deadpanned as you stared your best friend down; âYou better not be talking about Dan.â
âHeâs still hung up on you, babe.â Sarah confessed, treading carefully.
âI donât care,â You whined, irritated that this conversation was even happening. It had taken you months to move on, to mend your broken heart and now here you were, getting the run around by your supposed best friend who only wanted what was best for you. In her opinion, that was Daniel Ricciardo.
âWell just be civil with him. I know things didnât end well and I know that you blame him for all of it and rightfully so,â Sarah quickly added, sensing your narrowed stare, âBut you did love him once upon a time. A lot. And I know that you love me and wouldnât do anything to fuck up my moment so get your sexy butt up so I can go see my husband.â
âAye, aye captain.â
Anything to end this conversation, you thought.
Caversham House was beautiful. Everywhere you looked was picture-perfect â from the balcony overlooking the river to the four-story high waterfall framing the immaculate gardens, not to mention the painstakingly placed candles and floral arrangements hanging in every room. It was spectacular, tastefully extravagant and definitely worth the twelve-month wait.
The rehearsal dinner was strictly wedding party and parents only; everyone would have to wait until tomorrow to witness the event of the decade. Blake was the first person to come up and greet you, having only seen you a couple hours before when youâd arrived at the villas nearby. Michael was closely following behind with his wide smile; always making you feel loved, regardless of what had happened between you and his best friend.
âItâs really good to see you. Been too long, ey?â He asked, the pained inflection on his voice making you pout before you were ushered away by one of the other bridesmaids, promising him that youâd meet him at the bar for a drink later.
He was easy to pick out a crowd. The one who shall not be named; who had broken your heart into a million tiny pieces; who left you with nothing but an empty promise that maybe, one day he would find his way back to you. Utter bullshit.
He was standing with Sarah and her parents who practically raised you, chilled beer in his hand, smiles on their faces and loud laughs rousing the flock of ducks floating across the pond behind them. That fucking smile made you sick because itâs what landed you with said broken heart. Stunned in place, unable to process seeing him again after so long. It had only been six months but it felt like a lifetime without him â and without that stupidly infectious smile.
Daniel was the first to notice you walking over; truth be told, heâd been looking for you the second he stepped out of his hire car twenty minutes ago. Subtle scans of the garden and beyond, peeks over the balcony he was standing on, hoping to see you. He ached thinking about this moment, even last night in his hotel in Perth he thought about you â and whether you would speak to him, or even glance his way. You would have to, right? He was the best man and you were the maid of honour. Surely.
âHi guys,â You smiled, confidence summoned out of nowhere, surprising yourself. Sarahâs parents were quick to pull you into a cuddle, claiming that you were too cool and way too busy for them these days, which the latter was true. You felt guilty but also knew they understood. They appreciated the little moments like this where they could get their whole family together again and you felt lucky to be a small part of that.
âWe were just talking to Daniel about the season starting in a few weeks â are you going to be at the first race, love?â Sarahâs mum asked, and you hadnât even registered that she was talking to you, assuming that everyone knew by now that you and Daniel had broken up.
Her question, albeit innocent, felt like a punch to the gut â one of the many painful reminder of how interconnected your life together had been for so many years. She wasn't the last person that weekend to remind you of what you'd lost, opening old wounds over and over.
âActually Mum, I should go and find Blake and get started â your seats are over hereâŚâ Sarah was quick to jump into action, ushering her parents over to their table and leaving you and Daniel alone for what felt like the longest minute of your life.
He looked nervous but happy to see you. He looked jetlagged like you, and the way his frazzled curls fell onto his face indicated that the humidity had gotten to him already, the obscene summer heat doing the same to you. The small smile tugging on the sides of his mouth eased you, the quiet whistle he made also allowed you to relax. He was good at filling in uncomfortable silences â you, not so much.
âSoâŚâ You drawled, pondered out loud trying to fill the void, âKeeping well?â
Daniel stopped whistling and stifled a laugh at your seemingly innocuous question, âReally?â
âWell, what do you want me to say?â You sharply shot back, chuckling at his judgement, âGreat to see you? Howâs the family? LikeâŚâ
Daniel shuffled his feet on the pavement and looked up at the darkening sky above, âNo, youâre right â Iâm sorry. Itâs just⌠so fucking weird seeing you after â after everything that happened in Austin,â He leaned forward and whispered, eyes boring into yours as he spoke.
You gave him a small nod, hard features softening the longer you held his stare. You always felt safe in those eyes but right now, you couldnât let yourself get lost in them like you usually would. Daniel could sense your vulnerability and averted his gaze to his sneakers, saving you both from the heartache.
âI know but I donât want to stress them out,â You looked over at Sarah and Blake who were speaking with their MC, âSo letâs keep our distance and get through the weekend without any drama, please?â
Daniel frowned at your suggestion, wanting the complete opposite of distance but he knew he had no right to fight you on it âSure...â He settled, a pang of disappointment shooting through his chest, âI can do that.â
âGreat.â
You turned on your heel and set your sights on the job at hand. It was no mean feat being the maid of honour to someone as capricious as Sarah but she was glowingly in love; blissful compared to a week ago when she called you in the middle of the night crying, thinking that sheâd forgotten to book a DJ. Of course you reassured her and sent her the wedding itinerary for the hundredth time that week, easing her nerves like only a best friend could.
And Daniel was in the same predicament, moving around the room wrangling groomsmen into their agreed upon seating arrangement. All of this ensuing chaos hidden behind your respective smiles and you knew then that at some point you would have to join forces; like you did when you were together. Five years of being the dream team.
âWhy did they decide to have a million people in their wedding party?â You whispered once everyone was seated; now waiting for the bride and groom to make their entrance.
Daniel chuckled as he shuffled closer to you, the cologne youâd bought him for his birthday years ago filling your nostrils. It warmed your heart to know that he was still wearing it after the break up, no doubt that it reminded him of you every time he put it on. So many memories tied up in the smell of that cologne.
âMakes no sense to me but Iâm proud of you for not slapping Izzy when she refused to sit next to Mark,â Daniel whispered causing a stifled laugh to slip from your smirking lips, âYou did good, chook.â
Your nickname fell from his lips too easily, too familiar and your eyes rolled involuntarily. Of course heâd call you that, pushing the boundaries because there had never been a moment in the time that youâd known Daniel where he wouldnât step over a blurred line. Hell, thatâs how it started with him â a drunken night out and breakfast the next morning. He was nothing if not persistent and loved that once upon a time. But for now, you both had to be laser focused on the people who had found each other because of the two of you â a blind date turned into happily ever after.
âYou did good too.â
You stayed true to your word and got a drink with Michael once the rehearsal was over â taking full advantage of the complimentary drinks being served by the luxurious resort you were all staying at. As you caught up with Michael, you couldnât help but scan around the ballroom, unable to fathom how picturesque this place was in real life. It was heaven on earth.
Months ago, you found out that Daniel had been the one to suggest the venue after Blake and Sarahâs original plans fell through during the pandemic and the days following that revelation were tough. Crying yourself to sleep kind of tough. Caversham House had been written in your dream journal since yours and Danielâs third anniversary â you remembered his words like they were said yesterday.
âMy cousin got married at this amazing mansion in Swan Valley last year. One of the most beautiful places in the worldâŚâ
It was a throw away comment; an observation that Daniel may not have even realised struck you so much. But you went home that night and googled it; concluding that if Daniel ever proposed and you got to plan your wedding, Caversham House would be the place you would marry the love of your life. You never voiced that to Daniel and sadly, that day never came.
But years later here you were, watching your best friend living out your dream and you couldnât have been happier for her â for them. Daniel had missed his chance, thrown it all away for god knows what and you couldnât help but feel your blood starting to boil as he approached you and Michael sitting at the bar, your memories like little daggers sharpening in your mind.
âHope Iâm not interrupting,â Daniel tentatively asked, a fresh beer in hand and a sheepish smile on his face. He knew he was.
âNah mate. Pull up a seat if you want,â Michael replied and tugged out the stool beside him but Daniel glanced down at you with wide eyes, seeking permission before taking up Michaels offer.
âJoin us.â
It was subtle but you could see Daniel exhale a sigh of relief, you knew him better than anyone. You could see the weight lifting from his shoulders as he sat across from you, trying to temper his joy that you'd agreed to have him anywhere near you.
And in typical Daniel fashion, he slotted into the group seamlessly, never an awkward pause of silence or a lull in conversation whenever he was around. He was the social butterfly, the one everyone loved and you were always content with that when you were together. After the split, it became obvious how much everyone loved him and you lost touch with most of your mutual friends â Michael included.
It was a bitter pill to swallow and you resented him in the beginning but watching him talk, crack the odd joke here and there you could understand why. Like Sarah had noted in her room earlier, he was the whole package but he broke your heart. And he regretted that every second of every day. Heâd tried so hard to forget the way you smiled, the way you giggled softly, trying to suppress the real laugh that only he ever got to hear. You were glowing under the lights, hair swirling around in the evening breeze and Daniel couldnât take his eyes off you.
The grimace on his face when you caught him made you smile, eyes narrowed with suspicion as he shrugged and mouthed, Iâm sorry. You mirrored his shrug and took a sip of the glass of white wine heâd gotten you when he got up to get himself a drink. Truth be told, you couldn't keep your eyes of him either.
Before you knew it, the two of you were sitting alone â Michael made up some story that he needed to speak with Blake and that he would be back but he never returned. And you hadnât really even noticed his absence until your phone buzzed on the table between you and Daniel.
â⌠But being back on the farm over the break was nice â the kids asked where you were and said that they missed you a bunch of times.â
Daniel noticed the way you looked at your phone. The small smile followed by the lip bite gave you away and he couldnât ignore the way his stomach dropped, knowing that expression all too well. It was one heâd been on the receiving end of so many times. You flipped your phone over, screen down and returned to your conversation with apologetic eyes, âSorry, what did you say? Something about the farm?â
âOh, it doesnât matter,â Daniel smiled and nodded towards your phone, âAnswer him if you need to.â
You were slightly caught of guard, naively thinking youâd kept your cards close to you chest. Or maybe you had and Daniel was baiting to see if youâd admit that you were talking to someone new, finally moving on after six months. He was hard to read but he knew you better than anyone and you hated the way he was watching you, waiting for a response.
âNah, all good. Itâs not a serious thing,â You stupidly confessed, internally face palming as the words slipped from your loose lips.
âBut it is a thing?â Daniel was quick to enquire, selfishly wanting to know whether or not you had moved on, if he'd missed his chance.
âForget I said anything, please,â You swiftly replied, taking a gulp of wine and wilfully hoping he would drop it. He didnât want to but he could see the warning in your stern gaze, silently begging him not to interrogate you over this, not here.
âI just want you to be happy.â Daniel landed on; honest eyes boring into yours as he clasped his hands together and sighed loudly into the cool air.Â
âI was happy with you and then you threw it away like it meant nothing to you,â You breathed, hands expressively falling to your sides and busying your fingertips on the hem of your dress.
âYou mean â meant more to me than anything. I just⌠woke up one day and realised that you deserved better; more than what I could give you being away for months on end,â He quietly replied, the words feeling dry as he explained why heâd cut you lose and broke your heart.
The scoff erupting in your throat caught Danielâs attention, âDonât you think I shouldâve been the person deciding that, not you?â
âOf course but in the moment it felt like the right thing to do and I fucked up⌠I really, really screwed it up, chook. Do you ever thinkââ
Suddenly, you heard your name being shouted from across the lawn, both you and Daniel snapping your heads around to see Sarah waving her arms like a maniac trying to get your attention, âTime for bed, guys! Early start tomorrow."
Neither or you wanted to end the conversation there, on a cliffhanger because simply being close to each other again fuelled something internally that you couldnât quite put your finger on. He gave you strength whenever he was near and you gave him solace, a sense of calm that nobody else could ever replicate. And tearing yourselves away from that was hard, so much so that a stand off had begun.
âAfter you,â Daniel motioned with a smirk, reading you like a book.
âYou just want me to go first so you can check out my arse in this dress,â You teased and poked his shoulder, âPervert.â
âAbsolute tickets but honestly, yeahâŚâ He winked as you stood up and smoothed out the dress that had ridden up slightly, his eyes shamelessly scanning your outfit, âUnbelievable.â
A blush crept up your neck as his words washed over you but you couldnât let him see that, âGoodnight, Daniel.â You said, turning on your heel and fleeing the scene as quickly as you could, but not without a little strut as you walked away.
Daniel exhaled deeply and watched you until you were out of his sight, not even noticing the dip in the couch he was sitting on.
âPut your tongue back in ya mouth and go to bed.â
Michael had caught him red handed and now it was hit turn to furiously blush. He was down bad and had no idea how he was supposed to sleep, knowing you were a couple of villas down, thinking about him, thinking about you. He missed you in so many ways, the obvious ones now being the ones on his mind as he lay in bed, fingers trawling through his hair as he tried to think of anything else but you. What eventually lulled him to sleep was the promise of tomorrow â a new beginning.
After a couple of hours of complete and utter panic, the weather had finally decided to put on a show for the newlyweds. The clouds that had dampened the morning vanished as soon as the fleet of vintage cars rolled up the stoned driveway, arriving fashionably late. You had done your best to calm Sarah but she was already teary, eyes blinking rapidly in attempt to control the tears threatening to ruin her make up. Just breathe, youâd whispered as her sister made her way down the carpeted aisle, sun shinning down on the gorgeous archway at the top of the stairs.
âLetâs go and get you married to the man of your dreams, hey?â
That was all you needed to say before Sarah nodded and pushed you towards the open doors, one last wink giving you the reassurance that she would be right behind you. The ceremony was beautiful; there were many tears and laughter rumbling through the large crowd when Blake made a joke about her being stuck with him for the rest of her life. Everything else flew by in the blink of an eye and before you knew it, Daniel was reaching out for your hand, clasping it gently in his as he guided you down the stairs and out to the balcony where the photos were going to be taken before joining the reception.
âChampagne?â Daniel asked you, flute already locked and loaded in his hand â he knew you couldnât resist a glass of bubbly, not after such a stressful morning.
âPlease and thank you,â You sighed, taking a sip and glancing over at the happy couple who had already started doing photos together.
âCanât believe itâs actually happened.â
Daniel followed your eye line and smiled, âWho knew 4 years ago when we set them up that weâd end up hereâŚâ He pondered out loud and you agreed, you never wouldâve guessed it, "It's amazing."
âI said it back then and I stand by it now; we should be professional match-makers. Weâre literally 1 for 1 right now,â You enthused, reflecting Danielâs grin.
âOh, weâre fucking killing it. Alright, letâs seeâŚâ He trailed off and looked around the balcony at the other groomsmen and bridesmaids making small talk, âWhat about big Mike? Been single for a while now and way too obsessed with my shit so getting him laid would benefit me too⌠Izzyâs single, right?â
âShe is!â You whispered a little too enthusiastically that Daniel jumped back and laughed, âBut sheâs a commitment girl so I donât think a hit it and quit it vibe or his travelling would be a good match. Marcia is a bit rogue⌠definitely single and down for anything, I reckon... Ooo, this is too much fun!â
Daniel chuckled and soaked in your excitement â it had been so long since heâd seen you smile like that, so free and uninhibited. Like his simple existence wasnât sucking the life out of you and wasnât making you miserable for the first time in over a year. He felt guilty taking so much emotionally from you, the toll of his work effecting both of you in the end. He hadnât said it out loud but he knew that his mental health was having a detrimental effect on you but you loved him. Loved him with every cell in your body and you would never have given up on him. And little did he know, you still hadnât after all this time.
âYou are so beautiful.â
Danielâs words surprised you and there was a second of silence before he doubled down with a soft laugh, âLike, breathtakingly beautiful.â
What you did next startled Daniel. Your hand brushed over the buttons on his light blue jacket, fingertips gently readjusting the small flower arrangement pinned on the lapel as you took in his compliment. Youâd be lying if you said it didnât ignite a spark within, a small flutter of your heart making you blush as he reached out and grasped your hips in his warm hands. The silk was soft under his palms, barely even a second passed before you melted into his touch, wishing for more than a friendly exchange. Â
âThank you,â You whispered, eyes flickering up through your thick eyelashes â his brown ones gleaming with joy as you trailed your hands down his chest and gave him a soft push towards the photographers standing behind him, âGet that million dollar smile ready, Ricciardo because I think weâre being summoned.â
He continued to seek you out for the rest of the night, hypnotised by the smell of your perfume and the softness of your touches; the latter caused by the couple of glasses of wine youâd consumed.
Daniel loved it when you were a tiny bit tipsy. He loved the little giggles that you gifted him and the way you hung onto him just that little bit longer. The memories of the two of you stumbling down the footpath outside your home together last summer, barely making it up the stairs and through the door came flooding back when you whispered in his ear, âYou are so bloody handsome.â
âExcuse me?â He chuckled; hand sprawled over the small of your back as he placed his jacket over your shoulders, âYou heard me,â You shot back, smirk plastered across your face as you grasped his hand. âCome dance with me.â
Daniel had been waiting for you to ask, praying youâd be the one to drag him out onto the dance floor. You knew what you wanted and you didnât hesitate throwing your arms over his shoulders, forcing his hands to snake down yours sides and grasp your swaying hips. The floor was packed with people dancing along to the DJ who was mainly spinning 90s R&B â a personal favourite of yours and the bride.
Daniel was in heaven as your bodies moved together in perfect rhythm, the music transporting you back to the first time you met â the night when your life changed in the blink of an eye. He knew to savour it, never taking your intimacy for granted because he knew that you were hurting more than him, and you had every right to be. But in that moment, as he looked down into your glossy eyes, he saw the woman he fell in love with â the one he loved more than anything in the entire world. His girl.
You were barely inches apart when he leaned down and kissed you; lips ghosting before taking what they wanted, what they craved. Even though it was Daniel making the first move, you were going to if he didn't soon and the smile erupting on your face when he pulled back reassured him that heâd made the right call. Cutting the tension with a knife and making your blush under the thick layer of makeup that hadnât budged all day.
There was a short pause as you stared at each other, unsure whether you were fully on the same page or not but Daniel didnât want to wait any longer. Heâd waited nearly six months to be with you, to touch you; to taste you.
âDo you wannaâŚ?â
âYes!â You hastily replied, making Daniel chuckle before he wrapped his arm around your waist and guided you off the dance floor and away from the loud music; both of you wildly aroused and tingling with anticipation.
The mansion where the reception was being held was enormous. Guest bedroom after guest bedroom lined the hallways so you were a little shocked when you were pulled into a bathroom at the end of the passageway. It was massive, bigger than your kitchen back home and the sconces hanging from the dark walls looked nearly 100 years old, barely emitting any light. It was definitely setting a mood and you weren't complaining at all.
âThereâs locks on the bathrooms but not the bedrooms,â Daniel explained, sensing your surprise at his choice of location. You nodded and reached out for him, already missing the way his body felt on yours as he pinned you against the tiled wall, heat radiating down your spine as he feverishly kissed you again.
âYouâve done me in dirtier places,â You moaned and he chuckled against your neck, lips travelling across your collarbone and between your perky breasts.
The fire that had been smouldering in the pit of your stomach all night was being stoked by his firm touch, every trace of a fingertip or rough tug on your sensitive skin making you whimper with excitement. You needed him to fuck you good.
âIâd do you anywhere, honey.â
You hummed and roughly grappled Danielâs curls between your fingers as he dipped down further and grasped the hem of your dress. A small shrug was enough to let the thick suit jacket he had given you fall to the ground, goose bumps erupting all over your arms as he left a trail of sloppy kisses up your thighs; stopping right where you wanted him and letting the flowy material of your dress drape over his head, disappearing from your sight. He knew your body like the back of his hand and knew you loved nothing more than his warm breath fanning between your thighs, glistening all for him.
âI want you to fuck me against this mirror,â You strongly suggested through batted eyelashes as he returned into view, a smirk painted on the supple lips that were seconds away from devouring you.
âDonât want my tongue?â Daniel cheekily asked, still crouched down and gazing up at you with those big brown eyes, waiting for your response. âMaybe later,â You whispered, watching as he jumped up with a grin, eager to fulfil whatever you desired.
âHands up where I can see them, maâam,â Daniel playfully ordered and you played along, holding your hands up in the air as he spun you around so you were facing the dark mirror. You could feel yourself soaking through your flimsy panties and if you could feel it, Daniel definitely could as he slid his hand into the lace, cupping you gently and stroking a single finger through your folds.
âSpread âem,â He whispered into your ear before pressing a firm to your temple and kicking your heeled feet apart.
Your hands were gripping the sink in front of you; white knuckling already but knowing that this wasnât anything compared to what Daniel could do to you. He once had you bucking on his thigh like it was the last orgasm you were ever going to have, screaming in pleasure like you were being tortured. And now, all you could think about was his hard dick pressing against your backside, taunting you under the thick material of his trousers.
âDanny,â You quietly moaned through gritted teeth and Daniel knew what that moan meant, not wasting a second before unbuckling his belt and pushing his pants down to his ankles. He did the same with your underwear, except he bent all the way down to rid you of them so he could keep them in his discarded jacket pocket for safekeeping.
âIâm gonna need those back, sir.â
âNah, I wouldnât think so,â Daniel teased, standing back up straight and catching your eyes in the reflection in front of him.
âGotta be quiet for me, okay?â He sweetly whispered, tongue swiping across the shell of your ear as he teased your hole with his soft tip, the feeling of your excitement mingling together making your shiver, âAlready feels so good.â
You hummed as Daniel nudged forward, his thickness took your breath away as you closed your eyes and leaned over the sink a little more; taking all of him, inch by inch. He could feel how tight you were, trying to not let his mind wander to whether youâd been fucked by anyone else since the break up. Because if you had, he knew it wasnât anything compared to how good he could do you with the way you were already choking back moans. Whimpering for more.
âRelax for me, honey. The clenching feels crazy fuckinâ good for me but I need you to just take me nice and slow,â Daniel coached, smoothing his palms over your hips and slowly rocking you back and forth against him, âGod, your arse really is something else,â He rasped, lightly tapping your rump as you looked up at him in the mirror, narrowed eyes sending him a stern warning.
âDonât even think about it and donât try the whole âoh, I accidently slippedâ trick because I know you,â You playfully scowled, trying to hide the smirk tugging on the corners of your lips.
Daniel tipped his head back and cackled at you calling him out, revelling in the banter and the fact you knew him inside and out. Heâd missed being called out on his shit and he loved nothing more than when you teased him during sex, the laughter ringing off the walls while he watched himself disappear into you.
âYouâre tight enough already, baby so no shenanigans tonight,â Daniel groaned and jutted his hips forward, jolting you closer to the mirror in the process. He readjusted his tight grip on the satin dress that he'd bunched up around your hips and caught your gaze in the reflection again, âI bet old mate texting you last night couldnât fuck you like this, ey?â
âNever gave him the chance,â You panted in reply, eyes trained on Danielâs as he pounded into you, thighs trembling in pleasure as he stalked you, every little wince or twitch never went unnoticed and you felt hot under his gaze, his hot breath and soft groans fanning into your ear.
âGood. No man deserves you, honey â not even me.â
The little burst of confidence his words gave you spurred you on as you bounced back and met his hips with a slap, quickening the pace and really pushing the limits on how loud you could be in such a public setting. Your voice was coarse and your knees were quivering as Daniel trailed his hands up to your chest, boobs practically spilling out of the satin dress as he bucked into you. He gently pulled down the loose fabric, along with the lacy bra and cupped your breasts in his hands, using them as leverage as he fucked into you. Proudly watching his work unfold in front of him.
The feeling of his rough palms massaging your breasts was enough to cause a loud, pornographic moan to rip from your throat â one that couldâve been heard for miles. One of Danielâs hands shot up and covered your mouth in an attempt to keep you as quiet as he could while got you off, wanting nothing more than having come undone around his stiff cock.
âLook at how damn sexy you are right now,â Daniel grumbled, eyes trained on yours so intensely. You nodded and moaned into his palm, feeling like your souls were re-connecting as he slowed down the pace and relished the feeling of you wrapped around him, bouncing on that dick so perfectly. He was in paradise.
Until the handle on the bathroom door started jiggling beside you, the loud bang that followed made both you both jump out of your perspiring skin. Danielâs hand lingered over your mouth, his dick stilled inside you as the handle rattled again â more aggressively this time. The person on the other side didnât say anything; the only sound swirling around the humid air was bated breath, both of you winded from the adrenaline. And from how exciting it felt nearly being caught with him filling you to the brim.
âFuck,â Daniel whispered as he looked up at you and dipped his head into the crook of your neck, âDo you wanna keep going?â
The deviant side of your brain was screaming hell yes but the rational voice that kept you level headed was telling you to hit the pause button. It was risky enough doing the deed so publicly, something that you and Daniel never shied away from but right now, when you were both supposed to be at the beck and call of your best friends at their wedding; it all seemed a little bit decadent.
âWe should get back,â You whispered, confirming what Daniel already assumed as he slowly pulled out and strategically manoeuvred his semi hard dick into the waistband of his underwear, attempting to hide how hard he still was in those deliciously tight pants.
âGood call⌠but uh, that was fun,â He stuttered and watched you smooth out your dress, his gaze burning a hole in the back of your head as you looked in the mirror and gently wiped under your eyes; removing any signs that youâd just been fucking your ex in a bathroom.
âReally fun,â You replied, wicked smile lining your smudged lips as Daniel stepped forward and helped you back into his suit jacket.
âWe should do it again some timeâŚâ
âAbsolutely â when were you thinking?â
âOh, I dunnoâŚâ He pondered with a cunning smirk, âMaybe like, now?â
You chewed your bottom lip between your front teeth and sighed; you loved that he wanted you as much as you wanted him, both dying to finish what you started and maybe indulge in even more bad behaviour. It was like old times but different - good different.
âIâm staying in the Cliffside suite so⌠meet you there in halfa?â
Daniel clapped his hands enthusiastically and rubbed them together, âSounds like a great fucking plan to me,â He agreed, grinning big and gently pushing you towards the door he was opening for you, looking both ways down the hallway.
âYou go first so I can watch you walk away from me in that dress,â Daniel quietly teased as you sashayed down the hallway and back to where the reception was still going strong, âYou are killing me!â
âI know!â You shouted back, flipping him the middle finger before spotting Sarah on the dance floor, eyes suspiciously narrowed as you shimmied over to her, smiling like the cat that got the cream.
âWhere did you get to?!â She yelled over the music, definitely on her way to being drunk from the flutes of champagne that were still being served by the gallon.
âJust needed to freshen up!â You shouted back and looked over your shoulder at Daniel who had joined a conversation near the bar.
There was a giddy feeling that washed over you after you turned back to Sarah and listened to her ramble about how good the music was and how much fun she was having. It was a familiar feeling; the same one you had the night you met Daniel all those years ago. But now, in his home state, surrounded by so many people you loved, you had both been gifted the rare chance to start over.
To fall in love all over again. This was your second chance at a happily ever after.

Mercifull - Maximus Decimus Meridius x (Fem)Reader
Gladiator (2000) Oneshot
Warnings: Confession of suicidal thoughts ( reader makes it and he talks her out of it), some age gap ( reader is young lady fan in age of looking for marriage).
Summary: The company of your favorite gladiator is the only bliss your father has been able to obtain for you since the rule of Commodus got you fearing for your lives.
Bought in clandestinity through the aborrecent mechanisms of roman corruption, your one moment to show Maximus thankfullness for the positive impact he had in you becomes your time to present him with a small part of the comfort fate has denied him through his endless sufferings.
Notes: First piece of Gladiator fic I ever written, inspired by the lovely @wildsaltair and an idea that wandered my mind post rewatch. Despite the grim topics in the warnings, I need to clarify it is mostly a comfort fluff
Maximus wasn't counting with more visits at night and the reminder of Lucilla's warnings regarding the depraved customs of wealthy ladies in Rome haunted him when he got the news. He would have yet to receive someone else, fault of his increasing popularity. It was matter of time untill fame would bring that sort of attention to him and he despised it. Forced to be in the presence of the buyer of instants from the misserable life he had yet to live, he would deny them of the one thing they really paid for. Frightening disdain could be enough to make a corrupt rich matron think twice before venturing.
Once he had you face to face, you confused him to no end debunking all previous assumptions. In his eyes you appeared like a portrait of innocence. A polite young lady that smiled for him with shy blush, not the attitude expected for a lascivous woman seeking satisfaction for her wicked desires from a gladiator. Nerves kept you awakardly silent as you advanced towards him and Maximus followed your every move with disconcerted curiosity.
Only after the guard allowed you some privacy, he finally got to hear your voice.
" It's a great honor, ⌠to be in the presence of the most honorable champion ⌠"
You suddenly interrupted yourself, giving him the impression of a previously practiced introductory speech falling due to excitement.
" ⌠I brought you a humble present, just a honey cake. Self made, none of my slaves were involved. Unfortunately, the guards said we can't have it ⌠What is a shame, because I thought something sweet would be comforting for your spirit. "
Adoration of the purest was all you were showing him. If he could have any doubts about what kind of woman you were, it was all confirmed for him.
For the first time since his life was ruined, something amused him enough to throw a few chuckles.
" You shouldn't be here. What would happen with your suitors if the rumour spreads that you frequent champions at night? "
The inmediate, correct implication showing he knew you couldn't be a married woman had slightly shamed you.
" Do you think that troubles me now? A lot has changed since Commodus crowned himself emperor. What used to concern me feels meaningless. Great damage has he inflicted in such brief time! Giving him a lifespan to rule, he will be the downfall of Rome. If the world our people have built may end, I can at least spend a small portion of my family's fortune for a meet with my favorite gladiator. "
Despite presented as sensical reasoning, your comment made him wary for motives that you couldn't possibly predict.
" Did Lucilla send you as last resort to soften my heart? "
You didn't feel called out in any way and replied with increasing honesty.
" I have no business with her, here I am on my own. My desperate father paid hoping our meeting could reanimate the walking corpse his beloved daughter has become. Your performance in the arena awakened her from the letharge and for once she resembled herself again. "
Unsure of what you meant, he tried to disuade you the best he could.
" He wasted it, I have nothing for you. Not even legendary words of comfort you may treasure for the rest of your life. If an infatuation with the shade of myself you saw brought you here, I'll have to warn you there is no life left in me to share. "
The dark warning had a contradictory effect. Probably because of the frustration caused by such terrible start of the encounter with your idol, some of your initial shyness was slowly dissipating.
" My two brothers gave their lives for Rome, only so Commodus would claim mine! " You admitted right away, controlling yourself to not indulge in reckless yelling. " I know, I saw it in his eyes when I had to swear loyalty to him out of fear. My father ... I am all he has left after sickness claimed my mother and war deprived us of my brothers. Commodus will come for me first. Sooner or later, he will. His wicked smile haunts my dreams turned into nightmares. Your company is the last wish of an innocent who fears herself already sentenced. Can't you not grant such small mercy? "
Maximus no longer could show himself detached from your pleads and your strange fascination became more understandable to him. Far from a superficial admiration, you were moved by his claims. Was that the sort of power Lucilla attributed him? Inspiring terrified people and awakening the conciences of those who remained numb of distractions? He was once a general, but it was not his place to be a revolutionary leader.
And yet, he couldn't help to feel intrigued about your story. He was not in the place to reach you any comfort, but could grant the mercy of listening to you. After all, yours was a moving image for him. Youthfull enough to make him suspect you could as well be a beloved daughter and someone else's fiancee. Innocent and kind, sweet and respectfull of a mere slave.
He relaxed his closed fists, then gave only a few steps closer to you to test if you weren't going to retrocede out of any possible fear of pyshical closeness.
" I am not a good companion, a balsam for desperation, but would like to know what made you expect to find that in me. "
You remained in your position, glance turning softer again before you looked at the ceiling as if you would be confessing yourself to both, him and the gods.
When your eyes were back on him you shrugged, making him smile from amusement.
" Everyday I see the masses supporting him I experience the powerlessness of Cassandra as the trojans cheer arround the wooden horse, because she knows the terrible secret it hides. All what's left for her being the repugnant hands of the lesser Ajax, Agamemnon and the axe of his wife. "
Revisiting the first impression he got of you, Maximus found the comparison fitting. Not because of the terrible fate it augured, but because the image of the beautifull princess cursed with awareness suited with your ways.
" Who am I in this? The priest of Neptune doomed to die for sharing your truth? "
He made you chuckle, but you resumed seriousness to insist with your point.
" You exposed the truth nobody wants to hear loud enough for them to stop ignoring it, and in that I found hope. Your ragefull bright could have burned the cursed artifact of Ulysses. Inspired by it I dreamt of outliving this curse falling upon us."
Your will to share was reaching dangerous territory, but you felt so comfortable with him that you didn't mind to make him the keeper of a secret not even your most trusted slaves knew.
" Before I found you, I was inclined to believe my only way to win would be following the path of the egyptian queen. Take my own life on noble, painless terms before he would command for me the most horrible and humilliating of deaths. My only hope, Maximus, was dying celibate. It was your vengefull hunger for survival what inspired me to think otherwise, ... to crave life. And I am here to show my grattitude, because for a brief instant you made me live again."
It baffled him, incapable of conceibing he could have such strong amount of influence from his position as a doomed entertainer. Aside from the scandall he caused revealing himself, his actions had palpable concencuencies in the most unexpected ways. His cursed existence had a meaning for some, a very real and touching effect on them. Thinking it from the perspective of political manipulation, the sister of the emperor forgot to mention it could reach beyond that.
" My life is brief, girl. I may die tomorrow and what would be left for you to look up to? Survive for your father, your loss would weight too heavy in his heart. Become the wife of a fortunate roman and make him proud. A family to look after will give you the purpose you lack. "
His advice induced you into a very obvious, but delicate conclussion.
" They are your purpose, the reason why you haven't given yourself death yet. Only in your memories they remain, and in the day you will perish, the last glimpse of their existence goes with you. "
Tears began to fall down your face and the sight contained his anger to a mention done by a stranger about his massacrated family. For as incredible as it was, you were the very first person willing to join his mourning.
"You are clever to interpret feelings in the way an augur follows divine signs. "
He managed to bring out one more smile in your still tearfull countenance.
" I suppose that saying I am sorry for your loss would come out as a very empty gesture, but if you indulge me, I will do better to reach you a humble expression of the comfort that was cruelly denied to you. "
The distance between you was shortened at every instant by action of your own approach. Before he would dare to object, your arms were trapping him in an intempestive hug. His chained wrists remained still in their position at the sides, restricted his movement by the ties and his suprise. Your sweet embrace was squeezing thight his firm form, head resting on his chest as if you intended to hear his heart beating.
He stayed there, numb to the comfort that the heat of your body and the scent of jasmines in your skin produced him. From the most ironical of places had someone succeded on the impossible task of caughting him out of guard. Not the fighters on the arena, or the emperor of Rome, but a sweet girl and her infinite kindness.
Unable to respond by receiving you in his arms, he placed a chaste kiss on top of your forehead as soon as you tilted your head up searching for his face.
There were no more tears left in you, only the sweetest delight.
" There are certain moments that can worth for a lifetime and I will treasure this as such. "
He smiled against your skin and pressed another peck.
" You will live again, even if I will not be there to see it. You are strong, way stronger than you think. The kindest roman that my new life has put on my way. "
The praise embarassed you and confused you simultaneously.
" What difference can that make against a monster like Commodus? He has no mercy."
" That doesn't mean he is not fond of finding it on others displaying it for him. " He clarified before completing another advice. " Adoration keeps him pleased. Show him just a brief glimpse of what you have done for me and you may disarm him, like you had disarmed me tonight."
Authentical disbelief to the implied confession made you overlook the rest.
" Have I done that? "
" Your arms are still rounding me. " Maximus reminded you with sweet amusement. " Do you think I would have allowed that if you wouldn't had awakened some sort of weakness? "
You released him a inmediately, raising up your hands with an innocent expression.
" I only meant to comfort you, to share the flame of hope you awakened in me. "
" And you did, ⌠but now it's time for you to leave." He thankfully disencouraged you. " The more time you spend, more dangerous it becomes. If his spies haven't followed you, rumours could lead to a similar end. I want you to never show fright in front of him again, but you will if he finds a reason."
The reminder was sensical and you didn't protest against it.
" Thank you for your mercy, Maximus. "
In that he intepreted your acknowledgedment for the emotional closeness you both had reached through the encounter.
" I could only respond to your mercifull ways, good lady. "

Princess
Mizu x Fem!Reader CW: N/A WC: 1.2k+
I walked down a line of suitors that my father had picked out for me. They were mostly older men, something I did not cater to well, but this was the world I lived in. Where women are to be married off to an older man. It wasn't right, but I had to live with it. I had no say in the matter, especially since my father was a highly respected lord and I was the princess of our clan. However, there was this one person who kept popping up in the back of my head. It was someone I had just recently seen when I was coming home.
They were right by the carriage and when I picked my head up, our eyes met. He was wearing these tinted glasses and a large hat was on his head. There was something odd that made him stick out to me. Something that these men didn't have to offer. After rejecting every man here, my father audibly sighed. I understood why he was frustrated, but I was frustrated, too. Once the men left, he turned towards me.
"Do you not want to get married? To have a happy life?"
"I have a happy life here, unmarried," I said.
"What is it?" he asked. "There has to be something that is bothering you."
"There is no spark with these men."
"You're not even giving them a chance."
"Says you. You line them up and say pick whichever one you want. Like they're having a contest to test if they're handsome or not."
"What is bothering you?"
"There was this man when I was on my way here," I said.
"And?"
"There was something odd about him. Something I couldn't put my finger on, but it made it all the more attractive. I wanted to get to know what that odd feeling was whenever I looked at him. I want to know why he is mysterious."
"Hmm. What did he look like?"
"He had orange tinted glasses, a large hat on his head, and a cloak. Oh and there was something around his neck."
"And he's here?"
"Yes."
There was silence before my father nodded, "Alright. I'll see if the locals know where he went. I'll bring him here."
"Really?!"
"Yes."
I smiled and hugged my father, "Thank you!"
"I hope that you can give him a chance."
"I will, father."
"Why did you follow me out here?" Mizu asked.
"I was worried about you," I said.
"You're following someone who is out for revenge. Not someone who wants love right now."
"What we had, was it real to you?"
Mizu looked over at me, some confusion going on in her eyes. They flicked back and forth from me and the wall.
"I-I--" she couldn't even answer that question.
"I didn't judge when you told me you were a woman. That you were not what I thought you were. And yet, I stayed with you. I still loved you."
"You're loving the wrong person, Y/N. You're loving me for the person who I was presenting to you. After your father gave me his permission to marry you, I knew you deserved better."
"Deserved better how?"
"For starters, an actual man. Not a woman pretending to be one. And someone who will actually love you."
"So what we had wasn't real?" I asked, a hurtful expression appearing.
"That's not what I meant," Mizu turned and grabbed my hand. She let out a sigh, shaking her head. "Someone who will love to put you first. Someone who will take care of you no matter what."
"You took care of me."
"But I had to leave for my mission. To kill those white men."
"I know you told me this. And I support you going through with it."
"Do you?" she asked, a questioning look in her eyes.
"I do," I said confidently.
"Then you will let me go. And move on to find someone who is deserving of you. Who you are deserving of."
"I can't," I said, my voice breaking slightly.
"Why?"
"Because I love you, Mizu."
She let out a sigh before pulling me in for a hug. Her arms wrapped tightly around me and I hugged her back, embracing the warmth she had.
"Even though I didn't really say it often, I do love you, Y/N."
"And I know you don't want me to move on."
"What makes you say that?" she asked.
"Just how protective you were over me even when someone looked at me the wrong way. Like you were going to gouge their eyes out."
"Well," she pulled away to find my eyes. "You are mine, after all."
I smiled, some blush crawling onto my cheeks.
"You're right. I don't want you to move on to find someone. But you do deserve better. A-And once I finish everything, I will do better."
"Thank you, Mizu."
The door opened and Ringo walked in. Mizu glared at him for not warning us first.
"You got a girl," he said. "A pretty girl. Wait, how does that work?"
"Ringo, this is Y/N. She has been secretly following me, but I am grateful," she softly smiled at me. "She's also a princess," she looked over at Ringo before turning back to face me."My princess."
I smiled, some more blush crawling onto my cheeks. I knew something that would make Mizu blush heavily. It was mostly PDA, but since it was Ringo, I knew we were going to be fine. But even then, Mizu doesn't like it when I show her off. She would sometimes show me off whenever we were starting our relationship, before my father told her she could marry me. Leaning towards her, I pressed a kiss to her cheek. She stood there frozen, a deep red color flushing across her cheeks. I giggled and did it once more, that red growing deeper. It looked like she wanted to reach for her Kasa and cover her face. I loved it when I could get her flustered.
"A-A minute alone, Ringo, please."
Ringo nodded and walked out of the room, his footsteps echoing down the hall until they stopped. Mizu turned and faced me once more, grabbing onto my hands.
"My princess," she whispered.
It was a cute nickname she had given me when we started our relationship. To say it was rocky at the beginning is an understatement. She was down right not willing to do anything with me whenever my father brought her to the palace. She immediately wanted to leave and fought a few guards. Almost about to leave, I stopped and just talked with her. We walked around the courtyard and talked for a bit. She told me about her pursuit of revenge while I talked about how boring it was to live this kind of life. She was jealous of me to say the least. But she worked on that. Now, people are jealous of her whenever her and I are together.
"You should head on home," she said. "This next part will be dangerous and I can't afford to lose you."
"I can't afford to lose you either."
"I'm stubborn. You know it," she chuckled. "My body won't let me die until I have finished everything. And when I finish what needs to be done, I will come back to you and we will get married. We will have a life together. Just you and I."
I smiled, some tears forming in my eyes as that was all I wanted from her. Was to just be with her and live the rest of our days out together. To grow old with her and experience the changes of the world as we grew older and older. She placed her hands on my cheeks, swiping the tears away with her thumbs. She pressed a kiss to my forehead before lightly pecking my lips.
"I love you, my princess."
"I love you, too, my water lily."

one can only collect so much wealth before tempting the attention of a dragon.Â
the young prince was spoiled and beautiful. he wore gold in every bit of his body, hanging it across his shoulders, around his neck, dangling from his ears. suitors hoping for his hand in marriage, rivals attempting peace, lords vying good favor, all manners of people came from all over to present gifts of gold and glittering jewel to the prince. he accepted all favor, but he rarely repaid. he preferred the lords who has spoiled him, and made peace with the rivals who asked, but never accepted a suitorâs hand. it only garnered their attention more.Â
soon enough, his castle was drowning in gold. he kept careful stock of the golden jewelry he loved to adorn, but the gems and the coins and the clutter of gold simply got tossed into his treasury. he would spend time lounging about inside it, but that was itâs only purpose.Â
except, of course, for attracting a dragon.Â
it came in the dead of night amidst a storm, diving through the castle gates and lumbering through its halls. the prince was sound asleep in his own bed when the dragon arrived, and so the dragon found his treasury unguarded. he buried himself in the gold and settled, content with his new hoard.Â
and the prince discovered him the next morning. unimpressed by the might of the dragon, he demanded that the great beast leave.Â
but for the first time in his life, the prince felt true fear when the dragon pinned him down to the floor. Sharp claws pressed into soft skin, and the dragonâs hot breath fanned over the princeâs body. the beastâs mouth opened to reveal razor sharp fangs, and the prince felt cold chill settle in his body with assurance that he was going to die.Â
but instead, the dragon lavished his tongue over the princeâs neck.Â
âi taste gold on you,â the dragon said, his hot breath washing over the prince.Â
âmy gold, that which youâre stealing,â answered the prince, only brave enough now to grab onto the dragonâs ivory claws.Â
âwould i taste it within you, too, little prince?â the dragon had no heed for the princeâs anger, and his long fat tongue maneuvered through the layers of his clothes so that his teeth could follow and bare the prince beneath him.Â
âso smallâŚâ the dragon cooed, âso fragile. yet warm and luminous.â the prince could not reach around the dragonâs claws to cover himself, even as the beastâs breathing chilled the tracks of saliva and sweat running over his body.Â
âwarm and luminous, like my treasure. my gold.â
âmy gold,â the prince corrected, but he had no authority in his words. the dragon laughs as itâs great snout neared the princeâs thighs.Â
âall mine,â the dragon said again, this time sliding his tongue between the princeâs legs. âthis gold, this castle, this treasure⌠and itâs prince. all mine.â
âno, iâm-â the prince choked himself with a moan as the dragonâs tongue passed over him again, this time spending longer lavishing itself in his wetness, growing to match the dragonâs need. âiâm not, iâm- youâre- hah, youâre in my castle! mine!â
âshh, little prince,â the dragon soothes, his voice rumbling within the castle walls. âyouâll understand soon. youâre mine.â
the prince could not respond. the dragonâs voice was invading his mind, softening his defenses. his eyelids drooped as still he looked across his now bare body, quaking with need he couldnât quite understand. while he watched the dragonâs snout as it shoved his thighs apart, he still was not prepared for when the tip of the dragonâs tapered tongue breached him. his back arched, even into the dragonâs claws, which retracted before puncturing soft skin.Â
still the dragon rumbled, vibrating deep into the prince and rippling through his mind. he could hardly think, could hardly feel but the thrusting tongue within him, exploring him, tasting him. he could not muster a warning before he came across the dragonâs tongue, and he could not muster a complaint when the dragon fucked him to sensitivity afterward. he could not move from the dragonâs claws, could not escape its tongue, even while he grew sleepy and his mind soft in the rumbling of the dragonâs voice.Â
âlovely little prince,â said the dragon, daintily lifting the limp prince from the floor. his hole dripped itâs wetness across his thighs, and the dragon licked over its fangs. cradling the prince, the dragon rolled to his side to reveal his own member, and he wrapped the prince up to his stomach. his cock was much too large for the tiny man, but should the princeâs soft thighs part far enough, the dragon could nestle his tapered tip just within him.Â
and so when the prince whimpered in his sleep, and slipped his soft legs over the dragon, and the dragon stroked himself and tasted the slick the prince had smeared over himself, he could cum into the prince, and leave him dripping much more than his own spend.Â
the prince was a new kind of spoiled, now. he never again had the need for praise from his kingdom, when the words of a dragon were enough to drip his mind out his hole, and he could train himself to take only a few inches more of dragon cock for the reward of filling up with warm dragon cum.Â
he would never quite feel whole without it again.Â

The One in the Olympic Villa - full fic here
Cheering and applause filled the arena, all for him. Regulus' reputation remained intact as an undefeated champion. He politely congratulated his opponent before heading to his changing room.
He never grew tired of that feelingâwinning. He didnât care for the attention, even though he knew he had several eyes on him, including his family's. Regulus Black could always perform under pressure, even today, with a pair of honey eyes behind glasses that had promised to be there.
Regulus returned to the dressing room and quickly changed, glancing back at the mirror before leaving. He assured himself that there was no other motive for his desire to look presentable.
The first person he saw after his match was Evan. He congratulated him, he had no mercy on his commentary over the match and assured Regulus there was no actual competition. He tried to pay attention to his friendâs compliments but he kept searching the bleachers trying to find the tall athlete with the atrocious hair.
âHe left early,â Evan said, and Regulus turned his head to face him, trying to appear unbothered. âHe got a text and bailed. Sorry.â
âA man with horrible taste if he isnât capable of watching a single fencing match. Itâs fine.â He pressed his lips together, grabbed the rest of his stuff, and walked toward the villa.
Halfway to their room, Evan got a text that made him smile.
âWho the fuck is getting that reaction out of you?â
âCrouch,â he mumbled while quickly typing a response.
âI canât believe youâre still fucking him.â
âReg, Iâve been telling you, thereâs no better way to blow off steam than fucking someone you really, really dislike.â Evan seemed to be on a campaign to get Regulus laid more, a campaign with no other supporters.
Honestly, it wasnât a lack of desire, but Regulus had a criteria for suitors to meet. They rarely did. Potter seemed like a good enough candidate for some fun; what a waste that he was all talk and no action.
He parted ways with Evan and decided to spend the rest of his day watching the tape from todayâs match and prepping for his next one.
When Evan returned, he had a box of chocolates and a card in hand. Regulus blinked, confused, as his friend extended them towards him.
âHow does fucking Barty result in me getting this attention from you?â
âTheyâre from James, actually.â Regulusâ amused expression shifted to annoyance.
âI donât care what he has to say,â Regulus grumbled.
âWhatever, Iâm just the messenger. But if youâre that pissed at him, you should try my method out.â
âI wonât reward Potter by fucking him.â
Evanâs approach was not for him. James Potter could go fuck himself.Â

Shattered dreams (Reader!sister & Bridgerton Siblings)

Summary: You are debuted (around Eloise's age) and have met someone in secret. Unaware to any of your brothers. One faithful day they find out that someone is trying to hurt you for 'not listening & not being a good wife to be'. Hearing of this your brothers boil with anger and come to your aid.
The weather was nice, a soft breeze cooling the warming spring season. You took a deep breath, taking it all in. Spring was your favorite season after all. Not too hot, not too cold. Flowers blooming, birds singing and ducks enjoying their ponds. From afar you could already see the lake. Boats set on them to take a tour. Colin noticed your eagerness tapping you on your hand. â âWould you like a tour around the lake sister?â â he asked with a smile. He knew just how much youâd like that.
You formed a smile, holding your hand on his arm. â âPerhaps later.â â you answered. Colin furrowed his brows a bit confused. Why you wanted to wait stunned him. To be fair you wanted to take a tour on the boats, just with that someone special. With Hubert so to speak. You met him a few balls ago. None of your relatives aware of the meeting.
You were absolutely smitten with him. Heâd be the one to save you. To care and comfort himself over you till he drew his last breath. You didnât know why you kept it a secret. Perhaps because the encounter was so secretive and unproper by any standards set up by the ton you perhaps feared it.
Looking around you wondered where he is. Eyes slowly widening when your gaze met with his from afar. Your heart leaped and fluttered. He slightly motioned with his head for you to come and see him. You couldnât hide the giddy smile on your lips. Slowly removing your arm from around your brother Colinâs. Colin frowned. â âI must ask mama something.â- you lied before he could question your intentions.
He nodded, turning his posture to Benedict and Eloise who were in a deep conversation. Colin over-heard their conversation, sighing loud with an eye roll. They were so headstrong in bickering about nonsense. You made your way over the green fields, keeping a close eye on your siblings behind you. You didnât want any of them to see where you were heading. Taking several detours between small gatherings, you hoped to blend in and possible disappear from their eye.
The secrecy send a thrill through your body. Excitement bubbling up in your stomach. You gasped, turning sharply around with your back to them after spotting mama with Anthony. They were chatting with Miss Edwina and Lady Danbury. Anthony looking as if heâd rather chew off his own foot then be present any longer. It made you chuckle a bit at the idea.
You moved further, closer to the lake with your back kept towards them. Dipping through a gathering you hoped to blend in. Some ladies gave you a nasty look for suddenly joining in as if you were to eavesdrop or steal their possible suitor from them. You shook your head at them, letting them know that were not your intentions. You moved on nearing the lake. By the lake you looked confused around. Was he not here? Hearing loud a psst made you jump out of your skin. By your left, lurking behind a tree he stood.
You glanced barely over your shoulder before heading over to him. Hubert took you by your hand, pulling you closer to him. â âMiss Y/n.â â he said kissing your hand. You smiled lovestruck and flattered by the gesture. â âI have counted the days till Iâd meet you again.â â he whispered. His compliment warmed your heart if he wouldâve asked for your hand you wouldâve accepted it within a heartbeat. You looked behind you to the lake. â âShall⌠shall we go for a tour?â â you asked eager to go round the lake.
Hubert smiled leaving a kiss higher up your arm. You smiled a bit uneasy hoping no one had seen it as it was against standards. â âAs the lady pleases.â â Hubert spoke. He offered you his arm as you took it. Hubert and you came in sight, making your way over to the lake. You kept your head down not wanting any of your siblings to recognize you.
You got on the platform. A boat waiting for you to get on. Hubert got in first. You smiled waiting for him to take your hand and help you down when he didnât. He just sat himself down staring at the other side of the lake. You smiled sheepishly, lifting a bit of your skirt up. Foot dangling in the air, finding balance to set it down. The boat wobbled a bit when your foot touched the boat. â âHurry up will you.â â Hubert said with a hastened wave. His comment made you stare stunned at him for a brief second.
Without thinking much further about it, you got onto the boat. Hubert took the oars, rowing the boat away. You took a deep breath, enjoying the ride. He rowed the boat further away from the mainland and out of sight. â âIs it not a lovely day My lord?â â you asked to stir up a conversation. His face made a âmehâ expression making you regret your question. â âMy lord is everythingâŚâ â you started wanting to ask about his sudden mood when he stopped rowing. You blinked perplex when he threw the oars to you.
You caught them, staring confused at them. â âMy lord⌠I do not understandâŚâ â you said, looking back up to him. â âI am tired!â â he hissed out. â âWhy donât you row!â â he insisted upon. Your eyes widened at his request. â âRow⌠my lord?â â you repeated wanting to be sure you understood. â âYes!â â he called out bothered. â âI spoke clear didnât I or is your head filled with novelty nonsense?â â he said loudly startling you.
You quickly shook your head. â âThen start rowing.â â he insisted rubbing his shoulder as if it was sore. You nodded obedient with a nervous swallow. You set the oars in the water, giving it a turn. One oar plopped up from the water, splashing the boat a bit. It made you lose your balance a bit, nearly falling forwards. Hubert caught some water, wiping his vest with disgust. â âApologies My lord.â â you quickly said. â âI shall do my best.â â you set the oar right, giving it another go. After a few failed attempts you found a steady pace to row the boat.
It didnât took you long to start huffing and puffing at the weight you needed to row. His and yours. To be honest you werenât that strong compared to Hubert. â âCan you not go a bit faster?â â he spoke with annoyance. You huffed loud, muscles soring up. â âYes my lord.â â you obliged like a good girl. You started rowing faster and harder, feeling it immediately in your muscles. A pair in another boat raised their eyebrows at you.
Gritting your teeth you pushed through to row the boat around. â âMy lord are ⌠you enjoying ⌠the view?â â you asked out of breath. Cheeks flashing with heat from the work-out. He remained silent, haunting the boat ride with it. Clenching your jaw, you felt yourself weaken with rows. Wondering why he was making you do this labor? You felt the wood roughen your palms.
Biting your lip, you tried to keep in any tears. It was so obvious to anyone he was making you do the labor he should be doing. It didnât even seem to care him. Suddenly the idea of Hubert was very different. From someone you thought would be yours truly, he sure made you do work hard for it. You were slowing down, unable to keep up with it. Your muscles were so sore it used up a lot of effort to even move them. â âWhy are you slowing down? Keep it up girl!â â he made clear.
His words stinging like a sharp knife in your heart. Looking up, you blinked rapidly to stop yourself from crying. â âYes my lord.â â you replied softly. You groaned quietly rowing harder. Putting more work to your labor. Out of breath, you needed to use both hands to push one oar to make the turn. Grabbing the other one once more, you rowed back. â âMy lord⌠are⌠are you rested well enough?â â you asked hinting to him to take over. He shook his head. Barely lifting a finger in assisting you. Your shoulders slouched with sadness.
Hardening your expression there even boiled some anger towards him. If this was how married life with him would be, you didnât want it. Him making you do all the work while he enjoys your torture. You kept rowing as the mainland got in view. The colorful tents overtowering the ton. Hearing their laugher carry over with the wind it made you even angrier.
On the mainland looked Anthony briefly up, eyelashes fluttering to be certain it was you he saw on the lake. His eye narrowed trying to focus on you. â âMama.â â Anthony said without adverting his eyes from you. Violet stopped talking to Lady Danbury, acknowledging her son. â âIs that Y/n on the lake?â â he wondered wanting to be certain. Violet turned her head. â âWhy yes she is.â â she answered with smile. â âWith a lord.â â she expressed giddy. Anthonyâs eyes widened Violet tapped him on the chest.
âDo you know the lord? What is his name?â â she wanted to know. â âI donât know.â â Anthony replied slightly worried. His eyes widened even more silencing his mother from asking any more questions, seeing you row. His expression hardened with anger. â âHeâs making her row!â â he blurted out angered. He looked back, putting his fingers in his mouth to whistle loud. Colin and Benedict looked his way. Anthony called them over with one firm motion of his head. Colin and Benedict didnât waste another second, hurrying over to his side.
He pointed at you on the lake. â âThat little liar.â â Colin cursed out, clenching his hand. Anthony looked confused with a sharp edge to it at him. â âShe told me she needed to ask mama a question.â â Colin filled in. â âClearly she didnât.â â Anthony bit back bothered. â âWhy is she rowing?â â Benedict questioned. â âShouldnât he be rowing? Why is he making her do the labor?â â it didnât sit right with him. â âIâm going to end this.â â Anthony said heading towards the lake. Benedict and Colin hurrying behind him.
On the lake Hubert put you to a stop. You exhaled loud and exhausted. Perhaps a bit too loud. You offered him the oars, smiling at his gratitude of taking over your task. You furrowed your brows when he pushed the oar down. He came closer making you wary. â âWhat are you acting upon my lord?â â you wondered. He forced himself onto you, making you push him off. It clearly didnât set with him. â âDo you not love me?â â he asked or rather demanded.
His question baffled you. â âIf you want to become a good wife youâll listen to me!â â he said coming closer again. â âNo!â â you called out, battling him away as he tried to force a kiss on you once more. â âI am just showing you my love!â â he yelled getting angry. â âIt isnât love if you force me!â â you yelled back kicking him against the knee. He groaned in pain, holding his knee.
You crawled further up the boat, wondering how youâd get out of this situation. Heck youâd jump out of this boat if it meant escaping him. Hubert rose standing tall. He grabbed you by your arm, yanking on it. â â A good wife does as she is told.â â he rose his hand ready to strike you.
Anthony was boiling with rage already undoing one shoe of his to jump in the water. Benedict stopped a pair from getting in a boat so they could get in. Colin calling out your name from afar. You gasped seeing his hand go down ready to hurt you. Looking away, you kicked your foot up out of instinct. You felt his chest under your shoe followed by a splash. Opening your eyes, you stared at an empty boat. You crawled over to the other side, looking over the edge. Hubert resurfacing as he spewed out some water. â âGood thing we arenât married yet!â â you shouted at him.
You grabbed the oars, finding the last bit of strength of yours to row back to shore. Out of breath you reached the platform. Anthony and Benedict hoisted you up from the boat, wrapping their arms around you. â âWhere is he? Who is he?â â Benedict called out angered. You cried against your brothers chest. â âI am sorry⌠I thought he was the one, but he is not. He was so commanding all of the sudden. Making me row, the silence, the insultsâŚâ â you cried out.
Anthony hugged you tighter. Hubert swam to the platform as Colin stepped away to let him get up on it. â âLook what you did!â â he shouted with a stern finger at you. Benedict puffed his chest up. He pushed Hubert hard, sending him back into the water. â âIf I see you near my sister one more time Iâll make you scream for mercy!â â Benedict threatened.
Anthony handed you over to Colin who comforted you. Hubert came climbing up the platform once more, chest laying on the edge ready to push himself up. Anthony lowered himself smiling angrily. He pushed Hubert back by his forehead, sending him back down.
âYou are lucky there are witnesses or I wouldnât be so well-mannered!â â Anthony called out. Hubert staid in the water afraid to get out and be plunged back by any of your brothers. Your brothers and you left returning to mama. â âThank you.â â you told them. â âFamily is always a priority. First and upmost.â â Anthony answered. Â

So I was looking at the master list for the 2k event and who ever said we need more Kalim in our livesâŚwe most certainly do so hereâs another request for Kalim đ
Genre:đš
Trope:đĽ
Prompts:đđđŻ
a/n: it seems my event has congregated the Kalim and Riddle lovers. I hope both my Kalim lovers find this, I really really like this one. Kalim is so fun to write for.
tw: none.
wc: 0.5k
2k follower event | master list
You couldnât stop yourself from shamelessly watching Kalim as he laughed and cheered. These parties were a common occurrence, but you found yourself admiring the housewarden all the same. The golden lighting makes his dark skin glow and the white henna shine. The gold jewelry that adorned him glimmered and swayed with his every movement. He was so bright, happy, and loving, it made you want to litter him with affection. And as he turned to face you with his bright smile and loving gaze, you found your heart skipping a beat.
The problem? You and Kalim were only pretending to be together. Or, at least thatâs what you thought, you werenât sure what you both were. Kalimâs parents had started to put pressure on the heir to choose a suitor, and Kalim being Kalim, pronounced that if he were to marry someone, heâd marry you. All of this, mind you, was without you present, so imagine your confusion when Kalim started to ramble to you about marriage and how grand your wedding will be.Â
It had only seemed to escalate from there as your friend (?) had become more affectionate. Hugs lasted a few seconds longer, heâd hold your hand wherever you went, heâd cuddle you when you were alone (or not), he had even kissed your cheek once! It was throwing you through a loop, and it didnât help that Jamil refused to clarify anything, only shaking his head and trying to ignore the situation altogether. It was his job to take care and look after Kalim, not solve misunderstandings.
Which led you to tonight, Kalim looking at you so lovingly you felt your teeth rotting. The loud music, the talking, the confusing feelings, the overwhelming smells, it was all starting to pile on you, overwhelming you greatly. Kalim, who noticed your discomfort faster than you expected, took your hand and brought you outside for some fresh air. The cold air was grounding, the music and chatter becoming faint. Kalim, being thoughtful, wrapped an arm around you, pulling you into his side which kept you warm.Â
Resting your head on his shoulder you sighed, âIf you keep this up I might just fall for you.â
It was silent for a moment before Kalim responded, his voice sounding more vulnerable than you expected, âI-I thought you already liked me.â
You blinked, pulling away slighting to look at Kalim in confusion, âOf course I like you, I-I just meant thatâŚâcusâŚweâreâŚâ You were fumbling, heart sinking along with his expression. So you asked the question that was eating at you for the past week, âWhat are we?âÂ
Now it was Kalimâs turn to fumble, flustering as his cheeks turned a light pink, âI-I thoughtâŚďż˝ďż˝ďż˝ He took in a deep breath, trying to calm himself as he took ahold of your hand, bringing it up to his chest. âDo you feel my heart?â He asked, looking at you with such utter adoration you felt like you were going to melt. âIt beats only for you.â With his heart thumping quickly under your palm, you felt your own cheeks heat at his admission. And as you sat there, the warm light inside made him glowâŚ
âWait, did you think we were engaged?!â

Let Me Help You Idiot! Hajime Kokonoi (Tokyo Revengers)
You met Koko when you were younger, and he took you under his wing. As an inspiring designer, you loved to make him nice clothes. As you get older, you want to be more independent, but Koko will always look out for you. Kokonoi x Reader (Bonten Timeline)
From the moment you were born, you had to fight tooth and claw to survive. Your dad left when you were three, leaving you and your mum with nothing. Your mum went back to being a hostess, meaning you were left alone in the single-room apartment you had. She was good at her job, earning lots of money and expensive gifts from suitors. But she had addictions and spent the money on drugs. From a young age, you had to fend for yourself and learn to survive, from clothing and making meals to keeping the apartment clean and ensuring mum put enough money aside for bills. Luckily, the neighbours took pity on you and helped pay for your school things, and one lady taught you how to sew, saying it would help you in the future to have a skill to pay the bills. You kept up your sewing throughout school, getting better and managing to sell some of your wares at a local market on the weekend.
This is where you met Hajime Kokonoi, and you took pride when he complimented the intricate details you embellished your clothes with. He decided you were going to be his personal designer in the future, and he was going to help you make a name for yourself.
PRESENT DAY
Koko kept his promise to help you, using his money and connections to get you into a good design school. All he asked in retum was you make all his clothes custom and free of charge, and of course you said yes because it was the least you could do. By now, he was on executive in Bonten, a criminal organisation and he liked to look nice because he had an image to maintain.
After working for a couple of designers, you saved enough to open your own shop in Tokyo, and it felt nice to pay with your our money instead of Koko's. Bonten kept Koko busy, so you didn't like bothering him unless he called you. You had one big problem, you had no real clue about money and expenses of running a business. And now you had to pay taxes on top of that, which went over your head. You chose to focus on commissions to make more money and filled in all the forms to the best of your abilities. Little did you know it would come back to bite you in the ass.
KOKO
I was busy dealing with the financial mess Sanzu had left for me after his last mission.
'I'm surrounded by idiots,' I groan, rubbing my temples.
'Err boss, I have the reports you asked for,' some lacky who's name I didn't deem important to lean stutters, standing in the doorway of my office. Even though y/n had paid for their shop and was getting quite a few comissions, I liked to keep an eye on them. They were a year younger than me and had become like a younger sibling I felt protective over. When we met up, we didn't talk about money, and I knew if they had a problem, they would come to me for help. However, my eyes widened, seeing the financial report in front of me.
'What the hell?' I gasp.
How could they be so careless when it came to finance? Firstly, they were paying way too much rent for the area, and secondly, the government wasn't happy with their taxes, which they had underpaid. They were close to losing their shop and facing a big penalty from the government who thought they were committing fraud.
I grabbed my jacket and car keys, needing to see them before the problem got out of hand. I run out of my office, ignoring Sanzu, having bigger fish to fry.
The light was still on in the shop when I pulled up outside. They liked to work late if they had a deadline. I enter the shop and the bell pings. I lock the door behind me and turn the open sign to closed.
'Hi, how can I help you - Koko, what are you doing here?' y/n stares at me, tilting their head to the side in confusion.
I walk over to the counter and put the file down in front of them, 'if you didn't understand, why didn't you ask me to explain?'
They open it, and the colour drains from their face, 'am I in big trouble? I thought I'd look dumb if I had to keep asking you to help me!'
I sigh loudly, 'yeah, well, you look pretty dumb right now, so that didn't work out for you.'
They look down at their feet and shuffle nervously, 'the last time we had coffee, you were stressed dealing with your colleagues' finances. I didn't want to give you any more stress, so I did what the internet told me to do filling out the forms. I'm sorry Koko. What do I do now?'
I walk and the counter and pull them into my arms. I didn't like to show emotion in front of the other executives, but y/n was the exception. I needed to protect them.
I kiss the top of their head, 'in the future don't take any extra comissions after you've submitted your taxes for the financial year until the new one starts or the govenment will think you're committing fraud. I'll get this sorted for you, and remember you can come to me whenever you need help.'
They squeeze me tightly, 'I'll never be able to pay you back, Koko. Sorry for being an idiot.'
I snort, you're the only idiot I can stand.'
Not wanting them to stress anymore, I'd also handle the rent problem for them, no one messed with the people close to me.

King! Steve Harrington and Personal Knight! Eddie Munson
Pairing: Steddie x reader
Genre: kinda fluff, smut
Warnings: arranged marriage, intimidation (but nothing to worry about), flirting, implied smut, boys kissing
âââ
Here you stood. Three steps down the throne. Parents on either side of you. King Harrington at the center, his parents whom stepped down on either side of him, and King Harringtonâs personal knight on his right.
You practically shook, like a baby deer in ice, as your parents introduced you. Youâd just turned 19 and Harrington 21.
He hasnât chosen a wife yet so his parents threw a Presentation Ball, where nearby kingdoms would bring their of age daughters and show them off to the newly made king. And he looked bored as he observed the presenters and presentees. But, unbeknownst to you, you seemed to have caught his eye, as well as his knightâs.
Harringtonâs parents seemed disinterested and waved you lot off, calling out to the next. You own parents grumbled all the way down the stairs and to your assigned table, scolding you once settled and fixing your clothes. They mouthed that this dress was not modest enough, but also not attractive enough at the same time. Youâve disappointed them and lost a chance for your parents to become allies with the Harrington royal family.
You watched the rest of the presenters go up and down, about 15 of you in total. You watched how the four of them interacted, which ones his parents approved of and which ones they didnât. King Harrington hadnât given away much emotion, only communicating with his personal knight through a series of subtle hand gestures. But what you failed to notice the is glancing, how both of the men watched you sit beside yourself and nervously fiddle with the jewels on your dress.
Once everyone presenter was sat, King Harrington and his parents discuss the suitors quietly to themselves so that the people below do not hear them. They seem to be disagreeing on something but King Harrington seems to be standing his ground on whatever decision he has made.
Once the bickering is over, they tell their decision to the castle staff that was placed as Announcer today. He steps forward and catches the attention of the 15 families below.
âThe royal family of Forestside,â The announcer calls out. âPlease step forward.â
Your parents gawk for a few moments before getting up and rushing you forward, standing at the bottom of the stairs. They await, rather impatiently.
âYour daughter has been chosen by the royal Harrington family to be his newly wed,â He says. âKing and Queen, you may stay here for three days time for the wedding and itâs preparations, then you will leave your daughter here once you leave. Do you accept?â
You parents graciously accept.
The announcer nods, âWe will get your settled in the visitors wing of the castle. And set off the rest of the presenters.â
Castle staff file in and lead the other families out and to their ships while some more comes and lead you three to a room in the visitors wing.
Once on the bedroom, some of your parentsâ personal staff rushes in and got them settled for the night, congratulating them. And one they were settled in bed, some of your personal staff guided you to the bathroom and took care of you. They knew how scared you were and reassured you that theyâve heard some very nice things about King Harrington from the other staff of the castle. They got you settled into the other bed in the room and bid you a goodnight and that they would see you in the morning.
The next three days pass by quickly and by now youâre running on steam and nerves. You hadnât been sleeping good.
The wedding and itâs preparations went well, and you said goodbye to your parents soon after. Your staff got you settled in King Harringtonâs quarters the night after the wedding.
King Harrington, or Steve as he said for you to call him, seemed nice, charming even. Heâd kept the conversations friendly and comfortable, trying to get to know you.
His knight, Eddie Munson, was nice as well. He was practically Steveâs shadow and was slowly becoming yours as well.
Both men got you settled comfortably, and about a month after the wedding is went the flirting started. Steve started it, and you only noticed when he became more touchy. And the more you noticed the flirting, the more you noticed that the men seemed to flirt with each other as well, only when there werenât prying eyes around.
When you seemed to reciprocate Steveâs flirting, Eddie started as well. He poked and prodded. You quickly became overwhelmed with both men hitting on you practically all day and every day.
The flirting became kissing and the kissing became rather inappropriate touches, from you in private and from the men practically everywhere they could get away with it. Sometimes you were with just Steve, other times with Eddie, and other times both at the same time.
And that brings you to now.
Youâd just gotten back from whatever important duty youâd personally been called to. Youâd longed to be back in bed, having been woken up before the sun today. But you encountered a sight.
Steve and Eddie on your shared bed, making out. Or rather Steve sitting on the bed and Eddie hovering over him, obviously overpowering the other man as he had a hand squeezing around his neck. Both were oblivious to the door squeaking open, but whipped their heads open when the door thud shut.
Eddieâs panicked gaze softened when he saw you and he stood up to his full height. And Steve blinked quite a few times, obviously a little kiss drunk.
âYou wanna join us?â Eddie asked, making his way to you. âWe just barely started.â
âOh umm,â You twiddled your fingers. âSure!â
The king and the knight had embraced you in their arms almost instantly. They took their time with you, offering you pleasure before chasing after their own. It was well into the night before anyone had settled down.
When one of the maids had come in the next morning to wake the King for royal business, she had only smiled and backed out. She figured whatever important duty summoned the King could wait for a few more hours.

Sweetheart Like You

Masterlist || Two
Growing up as the only daughter was hard on Elaine. Her father had high expectations for her like staying presentable for the suitors that would be coming around. Her mother had told her that one day a man would offer them the right bride price, and that she was to marry him. Her two brothers worked the fields in their vault, and they were constantly flirting with every girl there or from the nearby vaults. But she wasnât even allowed to say hello to a boy her age for fear of looking impure.
Elaine was expected to dress as modestly as possible. The only time that the woman were allowed to wear the vault suits was when there was a vault meeting and when they went to the surface for the gardens. Honestly there were only a few who went to the gardens which were the gardeners, and Elaine was a teacher.
Elaine wanted to find love and end up with the right one that she chose, not her father. She didnât want the fights that her parents had, and she didnât want to not know who she was going to spend the rest of her life with. So when the offers started to come in, she begged her father to let her choose. He just shushed her and said, âThis money is for us since we will be losing your income. I must decide on the highest price, not your feelings.â
âBut I should have some say in who Iâm with,â she argued. Her brown hair fell in her face.
Her blue eyes looked at her fatherâs aging face. His hair was losing the brown and going more and more gray with each month. It was going to be long before it would all be gray. His matching eyes met hers, shooting daggers.
âElaine, you will marry who I tell you to. Thereâs nothing to worry about. All of these offers are from people in this vault, so you will at least get to see us,â he replied with anger in his voice. His dark eyebrows were drawn tight, showing his frustration.
âI donât know them. What if they are mean? What if they hit me?â she asked. Her hands were clenched at her side. Elaine knew that this was pointless. Her father couldnât be reasoned with. It had always been his way or no way. It was how he got on the vault council after all.
âThen you donât give them a reason to be mean or to hit you!â he yelled, slamming his hands down on the table. âNow, stop arguing about this with me. This is the way things are done. Your mom didnât get to decide, and neither will your future sisters-in-law. Thatâs just how it is done!â
Elaineâs mouth fell open in shock. She had never seen him like this. The anger in his body kept him tense. Backing away from him, she left his office and headed towards the door to leave the dorm. Elaine wasnât going to stay here with him in a rage like that especially when it is directed towards her.
Her pipboy dinged with a message from Jacob Lawrence. He was an electrician that she had been talking to and somewhat flirting with. She had seen him at several vault meetings, and he had approached her after one of those meetings when she happened to be alone. Everyone knew that you didnât just approach an unmarried girl without going to their father. Elaine had hoped to see if it could work with him, but she didnât know how much the bride offer would for her would be.
Meet me in class.
The message was simple and meant to be that way. If someone saw it, it could be easily explained off. She would be disowned entirely if the whole vault knew that she was meeting up with a man. Plus, she didnât know how her father would react. The best case would be that you would just remain unmarried, but be on your own. The worst case, you would be sent to the wastelands off of the entire vault grounds. Elaine wasnât prepared for that yet.
Elaine let that thought go as she turned down the hall and opened the door to her classroom. Jacob turned towards her, and the smile on his face almost made her forget about what her father said. She ran into his arms, hoping that her father wouldnât notice she was gone right then.
âWhatâs the matter?â he asked, his rough voice a whisper in her ear. His dark hair brushed along her skin.
Elaine was shocked a bit by the fact that he seemed to know something was up with her, but how did she explain this to Jacob? He never really seemed to think much about the bride offers or at least he didnât bring it up to her.
âThe bride offers are coming in, and my father has said that he isnât allowing me to have a choice or at least some say in that matter,â she replied, tears starting to form.
Jacobâs arms tightened around her. âHush, Iâll put in a good bid. One he canât refuse,â he assured her. His hands rubbed her back as he held her.
Elaine sighed heavily. âI donât want the whole bride offer thing. I want to be able to freely choose who I marry, not who my father chooses,â she pointed out.
Jacob pulled back and looked at her confused. âBut that is how it has always been done! Every vault does it,â he explained. âItâs tradition. I promise your father will choose me.â
Shock was an understatement. Elaine had never talked about this with him before, but this was his response to her worry. She opened her mouth to say something as she pulled away from him, but didnât know what to reply with. How would someone respond to that? Jacob seemed okay with the tradition.
A bell rang announcing curfew. She pulled back and said goodnight to Jacob. When he offered to walk her back to her place, she shook her head and said, âWhat would people think if they saw us together and you escorting me?â
He blushed and nodded. âYouâre right. But you will see. Harvey will find that I am the best option,â he said, clearly trying to assure her.
They stepped out of the classroom while looking around to make sure no one was around. There was a sigh of relief from him when there was only them. It may be easy to say that he needed help with something academically, but her being 25 and the bride offers coming in. It would be too suspicious, and it would get back to her father. It wouldnât benefit her to anger him anymore that he already was.
âGoodnight, Elaine,â he said, heading off towards the dorms.
Elaine watched him disappear into the halls for a second and wandered over to the elevator that lead to the surface. What was it like up there? Were there still people on the surface? Did they arrange marriages like they did here in the vaults or did they just do what they wanted? She looked down at her pipboy seeing a curfew warning pop up. She felt like breaking down in tears. How was she the only one who felt like this?
The other girls always seemed excited when the bride offers started to come in. Always talking about the best ones and who they hoped their father would choose. She even remembered one gushing about how her father let her look at the applications before choosing. Yet, she was the one that had been dreading this, and as she looked back at the elevator, she wondered just how bad was it on the surface.
***
The next few days, Elaine had been avoiding her father which was easy enough with him locked away in his office. She went to work, pretending like there was nothing wrong. And on her way back to the dorm she went by the elevator. She would stop and stare at it for a few minutes. Today though she wasnât alone.
âLife up there is dangerous.â The voice came from behind Elaine which made her turn and see an elderly woman with a cane walking up to her. âItâs much safer down here.â
âI donât know why you say such things,â Elaine said, trying to hide her inner feelings.
âI know that look. Running away may sound good, but you canât possibly know how much more desperate people are up there,â she replied. Her weathered skin showed that she had to be a gardener when she was younger. âNo one is safe up there.â
âBut at least they arenât being sold off by their own,â she muttered under her breath.
The elderly woman shook her head. âJust know that the grass isnât always greener on the other side just because it looks like it,â she said as she started to walk off.
Her pipboy dinged. Her mother was calling her home, saying that there was something exciting waiting for her.

When The Sun Loved The Moon - Aegon II Targaryen
CHAPTER 6. UNSPOKEN FEARS
warnings: smut, slight breeding kink, hand job, infidelity (? (Jaella and Harland but mentions of Aegon being with someone else, but they're both fine with it idk middle ages were wild), last scene is not main characters centered but I loved it so I kept it.
A/N: I didn't intend on leaving the smut scene but my bestie insisted so I did. Again, my smut may suck but hey practice makes perfect. Also, yes, I changed the title. Anyways, thank you for reading this I really appreciate it đ
131 AC
At sixteen, she had yet to find a worthy suitor; in reality, there had been many, but she always found some scandalous flaw that led her to decline their marriage proposals. Rhaenyra didnât seem too pleased with this, but she remained silent when Daemon reminded her that she had been the same in her youth. The prince was also not very happy with the young and not-so-young men who presented themselves seeking Jaella's hand.
Desperate to find her a good husband, it was decided to organize a grand event to receive the suitors, where they would be evaluated by the princess and the prince to consider the best of their options. Although, without a doubt, Jaella already had her proposal of marriage and made sure that invitations were sent to Prince Aegon and Prince Aemond since both were still single and worthy candidates for her hand. Of course, the princess's interest was solely focused on the elder of the two brothers.
âIt seems foolish to me,â the princess commented while her hair was being brushed.
Harland, who had been tasked with bringing news about the event, let out a small laugh.
âI donât think your mother and Prince Daemon think the same,â he said, shrugging. âItâs an event in your honor; you should be excited. You like these kinds of things.â
âItâs an event to have me chosen as if I were cattle,â she corrected, frowning. Then she waved her hand to signal her maid of honor that she could leave, which the girl did immediately. Once they were alone, Jaella continued speaking. âI donât need to be chosen. I know what I want.â
âAnd what is it that you want, princess?â Harland asked, raising an eyebrow and looking at her through the mirror.
Jaella kept her gaze fixed on the mirror, observing her own reflection for a moment before responding.
âAegon,â she said finally, with a certainty that left no room for doubt.
Harland approached her carefully and took the brush that Jaellaâs maid had left, replacing her in the task.
âA knight brushing the princessâs hair?â Jaella asked, allowing him to do it, enjoying the difference that Harlandâs less skilled hands made compared to the previous ones.
âAegon wants you too,â he said, completely ignoring her question. âBut until the king and queen accept the marriage proposal, Iâm afraid thereâs little you can do about it.â
She hummed in agreement, nodding slightly at the boyâs words behind her.
âThere has never been a formal proposal,â Harland frowned, looking at her with confusion. âApparently, my wishes are not that important, and my family has never dared to formally ask for my marriage to Aegon.â
âAnd... I suppose the princess has a solution for that.â
Jaella smiled widely.
âMy mother and Daemon are reluctant to marry me off to him. Perhaps itâs because they donât trust Aegon as much as I do.â
âWhich is quite reasonable,â Harland said, annoyed, earning a light smack from the princess.
âIâm sure Aegon has told his mother more than once that he wants to marry me, but she will never accept it. So, itâs up to me to handle the matter myself.â
âAnd how do you plan to do that?â he asked, his curiosity palpable.
Jaella turned slightly in the chair to look directly at him, her expression now filled with determination that made Harlandâs chest swell with pride.
âIâm going to make my own proposal,â she said firmly. âI wonât wait for others to decide for me. Aegon and I know what we want, and if my mother and Daemon arenât willing to make it happen, then I will do it myself. Iâll speak with Aegon, and weâll find a way to present our request in a way that they canât refuse.â
The young Arryn sighed and nodded gently with a smile, daring to give the princessâs hair a soft stroke, earning a bright smile in return.
âRest assured, Iâll support you in whatever you need.â
âPerhaps youâll need to chop off Ser Cristonâs head,â she joked, wrinkling her nose.
âNothing would make me happier,â the slight tension in the room dissipated with the joke. âIs there anything the princess wishes to do today to avoid the fateful destiny of getting involved in the preparations for her engagement celebration?â
âThere actually is...â A couple of knocks on the door interrupted her, but instead of bothering her, they made her smile. âCome in.â
âPrincess, the ship that will take you to Kingswood is ready.â Decran Stark had entered the room respectfully but relaxed when he saw Harland was there. âWill Lord Arryn be joining us?â
âOf course,â said the silver-haired princess. âWhen have you ever seen him away from me?â
Harland gave Decran a teasing smile, which the young Stark chose to ignore. During their time at Dragonstone, both young men had developed a closeness with the princess, as one would expect. However, it was clear that there was a noticeable difference in how Jaella treated each of them.
They were frequently seen together in the Conquerorâs Garden or, when the weather was warmer, playing by the sea. They also shared some history lessons and often sat down to read after dinner. It was no secret that the princess enjoyed the company of the two young men more than that of her ladies-in-waiting.
âI suppose heâs never far enough away.â
âIâll soon be sworn to the princess; itâs whatâs expected of me.â
âWell, I could be the one to marry her,â Decran said, smiling smugly at the princess.
Harland let out a chuckle, and Jaellaâs cheeks flushed pink. She was accustomed to the meaningless bickering between the two, but she still hadnât managed to let Decranâs bold remarks affect her. It wasnât that she was so enamored with him that she considered him a marriage option, but she did like him and was aware that the northern lad had become much more attractive with age.
âIf you donât stop talking about my future marriage, Iâll leave you here, take the boat, and go away for two moons without anyone knowing where I am.â
âPlease donât,â Harland pleaded, visibly distressed. âI like my head where it is.â
âThen letâs go.â
âââââđ âââââ
The purpose of the trip to Kingswood was to enjoy a day of hunting, but it was well-known that the princess was not very skilled in this discipline, so it meant that she would spend the day playing with Moonfyre while Decran and Harland hunted.
âWhen do you want to return?â asked Decran, sitting next to her and earning a hiss from the little dragon playing in Jaellaâs lap.
The silver-haired princess quickly tried to calm her down.
âTomorrow. I donât plan to stay any longer than necessary. I just want to relax before facing the storm,â she replied, shrugging and suddenly turning to confront the northerner. âDo you want to ask me something, Decran?â
âNothing too serious, princess,â he reassured her with a smile. âMy brother, from what I know, is in the capital. I would like to pay him a visit, if it pleases you.â
âI have no objection,â she answered with a reassuring smile. âYouâve already done enough by hunting dinner for us. Iâm sure Harland will take good care of me, and there are some guards watching the surroundings. Iâll be fine.â
Decran left the small camp as the sun began to set, and Harland was grateful for it. He really couldnât tolerate much of the attention the northerner lavished on the princess, finding it desperate, though it was clear that jealousy was fueling his growing disdain for the young man.
It was no secret that the princess favored the young Arryn over the Stark, though many attributed it to the fact that Jaella was closer in age to Harland. The reality was that there was another reason behind the young princess's favoritism.
Since her last visit to Kingâs Landing, when she had shared the bed with Aegon for four uninterrupted nights, her desire for pleasure had nothing but increased. It had been barely two moons since their return when she found herself fervently needing the princeâs attention again, who was too far away to meet her needs whenever she wished.
Perhaps it was the lack of affection from her uncle that had led her to share the bed with Harland for the first time, but it was not the reason she allowed him to continue visiting her on some nights.
She knew that Aegon was aware of this, but it did not seem to bother the prince that his beloved niece sought to satisfy her desires, even if it was not with him. Aegon appeared to take pleasure in knowing that Jaella was desired by others, that she had the power to attract anyone to her bed. It was as if, in his mind, his sense of possession over her was reinforced by seeing her desired by another, a reminder that, at the end of the day, it was him that Jaella always returned to.
Moreover, over time, Aegon had come to understand the young Arryn, even daring to call him his friend when referring to him. He liked Harland because he did not seek to overshadow him or steal the princess's affections, which were so precious to him. The falcon knew his place and understood that he could never compete with the dragon.
Harland, for his part, knew that his place beside the princess faded with the appearance of the sun in the sky, but this did not trouble him. He loved Jaella and knew that she loved him in her own way, which was enough for him. While he could not have her completely, it was far more than many men could ask for.
âDid you bring the cages?â Jaella asked.
Her face was dimly lit by the torchlight, but Harland could clearly see the smile that spread across her face. The young man nodded and handed over the cages carefully while she tried to catch the small, glowing insects flying around the bushes.
âWhat do you need these for?â Harland asked, looking at her with curiosity.
âTheyâre for Princess Helaena,â she replied with a shrug. âThe climate on Dragonstone doesnât support many of these beautiful insects. Jacaerys said that a couple of days ago, two of her fireflies died, so he asked me to bring some.â
Once they had the insects secured, they returned to the makeshift camp they hadnât strayed far from. They had a bit of bread and warm wine for dinner before going to sleep, making sure to settle Moonfyre in the special cage they had brought for her to sleep in at night.
It wasnât long before Princess Jaella called Harland urgently. Unable to sleep, the young Arryn assumed she would need his attention, and he wasnât wrong; the young Velaryon had asked him to kiss her.
The young falcon was quick to obey his princess's wishes and had ended up in her tent that night, ready to do whatever she asked of him.
"No," she had whispered when his hand tried to slip under her dress.
Harland obeyed immediately and a smile took hold of Jaella's lips; in private, the young Arryn was much more submissive than Aegon and although she liked her uncle's possessive attitude, she truly enjoyed the stillness that Harland offered, his willingness to let himself be guided by her desires without insistence or demands.
Jaella was lying on her back between the soft sheets and furs, her legs around the boy's waist and her arms clinging to his neck as he moved on top of her, seeking to relieve the tension in his crotch.
The Velaryon ran one of her hands through Harland's soft brown hair and then caressed his cheek, drawing him towards her to kiss him. A new thrust made her sigh and laugh, taking the opportunity to gently bite the boy's lower lip.
"Calm down" she warned him jokingly "Tell me what you want."
"I need you"he murmured "I want to be inside you"
"You won't" she sentenced, making a pitiful moan leave Harland's lips "But I want to give you pleasure"
Jaella's hand ventured between their bodies, until it reached the brown-haired man's crotch, getting lost under his clothes. Harland trembled pleasantly and the silver-haired girl smiled with satisfaction as she saw the younger man's grimace transform into one of pure pleasure.
The princess gave a light squeeze around his erection, drawing out a small moan that made her own body shudder; her hand began to move up and down his length.
"Princess" he whimpered with his eyes closed.
"That's all you'll get tonight, Harland" she warned him, continuing with the same tortuous rhythm. "Imagine you're inside me if you want it so much."
Harland's hips moved involuntarily, thrusting against Jaella's hand, making the princess's smile widen.
âAgainâ Â she said, stopping her movements.
He moved again in an attempt to keep up, his moans becoming more intense as he tried to adjust to the same rhythm as the girl beneath him, his lips parted and she rushed to kiss him almost desperately.
âKeep goingâ Â she ordered him mid-kiss, pulling his lip a little harder.
The younger boy's labored breathing prevented him from speaking, but he did his best to make himself understood.
âI can't hold on any longerâ Â he gasped, hiding his face in the curve of the princess's neck, leaving a trail of wet kisses to her lips. â I need... â
â You won't have any moreâ Â she reminded him, giving him a light squeeze. âIt's not my wish to torture you either, but you won't enter me tonight. â
His erratic and desperate movements continued for a few more seconds, until Jaella dared to pull his hair with a little more force than necessary, then she approached his ear and shamelessly began to moan, causing him to resume his movements in an attempt to coordinate them with the sweet sounds the princess was uttering.
âI want you to fill me with your seedâ she moaned, leaving a languid kiss on his cheek. âDon't you want that?â
âY-yesâ his movements became faster and his brow furrowed for a moment.
Harland's lips parted and formed a perfect circle, a broken moan escaped from his mouth and Jaella felt his warmth empty into her hand. She smiled satisfied and he let his head fall on the princess's chest, with her free hand, she caressed his hair slowly while leaving languid kisses on his temple.
It was rare the time that the princess allowed him to take her; that did not matter to Harland, what he truly treasured were those moments when he could rest at her side while she caressed and kissed him.
âThe prince will be upset. So close to Kingâs Landing... you could have called for him,â he murmured against the skin of her neck, adjusting himself more comfortably with her.
âThe prince is already a bit upset,â she said simply. âHeâs not too happy about the idea of the event to find me a husband. If I called for him now, he might want to take me away, you know how he is.â
âImpulsive,â Harland muttered. âBut I donât blame him; Iâd be the same if I knew they were trying to betroth you to someone else. Heâs the most viable option. Doesnât Viserys see that?â
âThe king knows, my mother knows... But I havenât been able to understand what scares them so much,â she said, gently withdrawing her hand from Harlandâs virility.
The brown-haired man hurried to fetch a cotton cloth, then dampened it in the water container within the tent and began to clean the princess's hand with utmost delicacy while she watched him.
âWhen your mother ascends to the throne, what will happen to her brothers? Donât you think the queen fears that your mother might remove any obstacle to her claim? She already has Helaena secured; Alicent won't risk losing her eldest son,â Harland said.
âWhen my mother has a crown, Aegon will have one too,â she replied, looking at him seriously. âI know, Iâve seen it. My mother wonât do anything that could harm her own blood. Helaena is married to my brother and will soon bear him heirs. AegonâŚâ
âAegon will fight for you, married or not,â Harland interrupted, finishing the cleaning. âEven a blind person could see that.â
Jaella looked at him. She wished she could be as sure of that, but she knew well the strength of the Hightower poison; she was aware of Ottoâs tricks and the queenâs manipulations. She didnât know how far Aegon had been corrupted by his mother and grandfather.
âAnd the other two?â Harland questioned, making Jaella look at him with curiosity. âAemond is very close to his mother, and Daeron⌠we know nothing about him.â
âThere shouldnât be any problem. They know that my mother is the heir to the Iron Throne. She will have the crown, and no blood will need to be shed for it.â
âIf youâve seen it, then I believe you,â Harland reassured her, brushing his hand through her silver strands of hair. She was about to say more, but he interrupted her. âAnd weâll do everything we can to ensure that your marriage proposal to Aegon is finally considered.â
The young princess smiled, satisfied. She liked having someone on her side.
âââââđ âââââ
The hot water relaxed her aching body. That morning, she had decided to train as well and had pushed herself harder than usual. Her effort paid off, as she managed to defeat Jacaerys in two of their many sparring matches, a feat that Sir Erryk praised enthusiastically. She still hadnât managed to beat Harland, but she knew it would take many more moons of extensive training.
She could feel the stiffness in her joints and saw some purplish and greenish bruises along her arms as the maidservants scrubbed her body. She grimaced in displeasure, knowing she wouldn't be able to wear the sleeveless dresses that Aegon liked.
âPrincess, you need to come out now. The guests will start arriving soon, and your mother expects you to be ready to receive them.â
She really didnât want to go. The only thing motivating her was the chance that Aegon would be there, and this time she wouldnât accept a refusal. It was probably her last chance to make a move, so she had to seize it.
âPrince Daemon said that if you didnât come down soon, heâd come get you himself.â
Jaella rolled her eyes in amusement and nodded slowly, submerging herself in the water one last time before abandoning it for the rest of the day and facing her duties.
âPrince Daemon is aware that bursting into the chambers of an improperly dressed princess could cost him his head. He wouldnât do such a thing.â
âDonât test me,â she heard the mocking voice of her stepfather from the other side of the door.
âGet out of here!â she exclaimed.
She heard him laugh, followed by the sound of retreating footsteps. With a heavy sigh, she shook her head and had no choice but to get out of the water. The maidservants dried her off and applied ointments to the areas most affected by bruises, grateful that the princeâs brother always avoided hitting her face. They then scented her with aromatic oils from Lys, a gift from Daemon on her name day.
That day, Jaella had chosen a beautiful blue dress with white sleeves adorned with small pearls at the cuffs. A lovely golden embroidery extended from the bust to the waist, interspersed with pearls of various sizes.
Her hair was half-up in intricate braids decorating the back of her head, while the rest fell freely down her back, almost touching her waist.
She looked beautiful. More beautiful than on any other day, and she knew exactly why, but decided not to dwell on it and instead focus on her plan.
When she was fully ready, she finally left her room and found Harland waiting for her right outside the door. The young Arryn gave a small bow of his head as a greeting, and she flashed him a brief smile, nervously playing with her fingers.
âYou look especially radiant today, Princess.â
âThank you,â she smiled again, this time with a broader and more lasting grin. âYour mother asked me to escort you to the hall. She threatened to cut off my finger if you tried to sneak away, so please, behave.â
âDonât worry, your fingers will be safe. Iâm not planning to run today,â she said with a tone of boredom, prompting Harland to roll his eyes. âThe sooner we start this, the sooner weâll be done.â
And although Jaella wanted to believe that would be the case, the reality was that it took her over half a day to attend to the suitors who had arrived that morning, and none of them had met with her approval, let alone her motherâs. Not to mention Daemon, who had laughed in the faces of two or three elderly men who had dared to ask for Jaellaâs hand.
âCan we leave? Iâm hungry, Jaella complained, glancing at her mother. Before the princess could respond, the doors of the hall opened once more, causing Jaella to roll her eyes in exhaustion.
âPrinces Aegon and Aemond Targaryen,â was announced, and the mere mention of their names made Jaellaâs face light up. âAnd Their Majesties, King Viserys Targaryen and Queen Alicent Hightower.â
The deterioration in her grandfatherâs health was evident. The man could barely walk on his own, his skin looked even more pallid than the last time she had seen him, his hair had become much thinner, and the skin on his face appeared quite damaged. However, Viserys wore a radiant smile that only grew wider when his eyes landed on his eldest daughter.
Jaella felt a lump in her throat. Seeing her grandfather in such a state reminded her of how fragile time was, and instead of diminishing her desire to make a proposal, it only fueled her determination. She knew that if she married Aegon before her grandfather passed away, her mother would have a better chance of ascending the throne without any objections from the queen.
Rhaenyra almost ran to her father with a beaming smile, like a child returning home after a long time. Daemon followed closely and also greeted his brother warmly.
Aemond approached Jaella first, giving her a smile before taking her hand and kissing it as a greeting.
âItâs a pleasure to see you again, Uncle,â she said with a broad smile.
âLikewise,â he replied.
Aegon skipped the formalities as usual and leaned forward to plant a kiss on Jaellaâs cheek, gently holding her face with one of his hands and also caressing the opposite cheek. Alicent made a face of disapproval but remained silent, as usual, seeming to be the only one displeased with the situation.
âI didnât expect Your Majesties to accept the invitation to my daughterâs suitor search,â Rhaenyra said, drawing attention to herself.
âWe didnât come to present a proposal, Princess,â Alicent immediately replied, and Jaella had to restrain herself from lashing out. âBut your father was very insistent on meeting the candidates.â
âThe candidates who presented themselves today were not what we had hoped for,â Rhaenyra said, not looking at Alicent but directing her words to her father. âBut I am confident that Princess Jaella will find a suitor to her liking.â
âIt is an important event, without a doubt,â Viserys commented finally, his voice faltering. âPrincess Jaella has much ahead of her. Iâm sure she will find⌠what she is looking for.â
"And weâre here now," Aegon interrupted, earning a disapproving look from his mother. "Who better than the king to oversee my dear nieceâs betrothal, wouldnât you agree?"
Daemon let out a laugh that only further irritated the queen. Rhaenyra shot him a warning glance, while Viserys smiled and nodded towards his son, approving of his words.
"We were about to serve the meal; the journey must have been tiring," Rhaenyra said, trying to ease the tension while signaling the servants to prepare.
Alicent, still frowning, adjusted the folds of her dress, clearly uncomfortable with the atmosphere Aegon had created. "We appreciate your hospitality, Princess," she replied formally, her tone distant.
As everyone headed towards the dining hall, Aegon and Jaella lagged a few steps behind. The prince clasped his hands behind his back and walked alongside his niece with a smile.
"I didnât think you would come," Jaella said.
"We werenât going to," Aegon replied. "Aemond and I had to work on Dadâs head to get him to take action and let us come."
The princess let out a giggle and shook her head. "How charming," she said, still laughing.
"Well, I had to prevent you from being married off to the first lord who walked through the doors," he shrugged.
"I avoided being married off to the first lord who crossed the threshold," she grimaced. "It was dreadful, to say the least."
Aegon focused ahead and, seeing his family disappear down the hallway leading to the dining room, he stopped. He wrapped his arm around Jaellaâs and pulled her close until she bumped into his chest. His hold softened once he had her in his arms; one hand rested on her waist while the other cradled her face, bringing it closer to his for a quick kiss on her cheek.
"Iâm not going to let you marry anyone else, alright?" he whispered near her lips. "Iâm going toâ"
"Iâll make a marriage proposal to the king," she interrupted. He looked at her, confused.
"Your mother wonât let you," she continued. "She wonât, and for some reason, neither has my grandfather. So, Iâll ask him myself."
The prince smiled and nodded softly, still caressing the younger womanâs face.
"You have to be my wife, Jaella," he said seriously, looking into her eyes. "We can't delay it any longer; I've rejected every woman my mother has brought to the Red Keep."
"She must be very upset."
"She and a few families," he said dismissively. Jaella looked at him, surprised, and though she was curious, she didnât dare ask about the terrible fates some of those women might have suffered. "It's nothing you need to worry about."
She nodded, trusting him as she always did.
"I'll talk to my grandfather tonight... You should talk to him too."
"Yes, I'm sure the plea of two spoiled children will make him see reason," he joked, drawing a laugh from her. Aegon's expression turned serious. "Iâll talk to him, I promise."
"Now let's go to the dining room or your mother will go crazy," Jaella said, trying to pull away.
Aegon held her in place, and Jaella frowned, but her expression softened when she noticed the way he was looking at her.
"Itâs been over a year; my bed has been lonely," he murmured, brushing his thumb over Jaellaâs lips. "Arenât you going to grant your future husband a kiss?"
Jaella smiled and felt her heart race as he leaned in, their lips meeting in a kiss that, though brief, was charged with the desire they had both kept at bay all this time.
"Itâs impossible for me to believe youâve been alone all this time," she said when they parted.
"My bed has been lonely," he corrected her, making her roll her eyes. "I didnât think it was right for another woman to be there after you," he whispered, still caressing her face.
"Keep it that way," she said as a threat, but Aegon just smiled and placed a fleeting kiss on her lips.
"As the princess commands."

Helaena was undoubtedly an enigmatic person. Even during the years she had spent in Kingâs Landing, her own mother had never fully understood her, which made her feel isolated even when surrounded by attention. However, things were different in Dragonstone. Although not many understood her riddles and the visions that appeared in her dreams, she received much more patience and understanding from her husband and her half-sister than from the family she had left behind in the Red Keep. Jaella and Rhaena were also good company for her, and she enjoyed spending afternoons playing with the little ones, especially Joffrey, who loved listening to her talk about insects for long periods.
She felt at peace, but now that her mother had arrived, she couldnât help but feel a certain anxiety. Alicent had once told her that one day she would come to retrieve her, and she feared that this might be the case. The queen constantly spoke of how Rhaenyra would put their heads on spikes to claim the throne. As a child, Helaena had been terrified. When she was betrothed to Jacaerys, she thought it wasnât so bad because she adored the young prince, but her mother never ceased to instill fear in her, saying that bastards were inherently bad and that marrying Jacaerys would bring her suffering day and night.
Later, Harland Arryn had secretly delivered the first letter Jacaerys had written to her. In it, the prince expressed interest in getting to know her and allowing her to know him as well, showing her a side of himself that starkly contrasted with her motherâs gossip. When they married, it became abundantly clear to Helaena that everything her mother had said was vile liesânot just about Jacaerys but about Rhaenyra. Especially about Rhaenyra.
Her half-sister had done nothing but protect and care for her, just as she did with Jaella. It was clear that Rhaenyra was made to be a mother of sons, but she had a special affection for the young women in her family. The princess was extremely loving toward her, Jaella, and Rhaena.
Helaena didnât want to leave Dragonstone, didnât want to return to Kingâs Landing, and certainly didnât want to go back to her mother.
It was Helaenaâs custom to take a bath before bed; it helped her relax. And it was Jacaerysâ custom to brush his wifeâs hair before they slept, as not even the maids were allowed to touch her hair, so they had had to teach the prince how to manage the task of styling the young princessâs hair.
âIs everything alright?â Jacaerys asked, watching her through the mirror. âDid something happen with your beetles this morning? I saw you looking at them the longestâ
Helaena shook her head without looking up at him. She seemed nervous, evident in the way she was torturing her own fingers, peeling the skin at the edges. Jacaerys frowned; she only did that when she was worried, something that hadnât been common since they had been at Dragonstone.
âI donât want to leave,â she whispered, still staring down at her lap.
Jacaerys paused his task, setting the brush aside. Moving slowly so as not to startle his wife, he carefully circled around her and extended his hand, waiting for her to take it. He always waited for her to touch him first.
Helaena hesitated for a few seconds but then placed her hand on the prince's and dared to lift her gaze.
"Where, my wife?" he asked gently. "You don't have to go anywhere if you don't want to. Your place is here with me. Where do you fear going?"
"She will want to take me," Helaena said, clinging to her husband's arm, her eyes filling with tears.
"Alicent?" His frown deepened, and Helaena nodded. "She won't take you. I promise."
Almost as if Jacaerysâ words were being challenged, there was a knock on the door, announcing the late-night visit of Queen Alicent. Helaenaâs grip on Velaryonâs hand tightened, and her eyes widened in fear. He gently stroked her hand, trying to reassure her that everything would be fine, knowing well that the queen's demeanor would not be hostile, at least not at that moment.
"Your Grace," the dark-haired prince greeted, offering a slight bow of his head. "To what do we owe your visit at this hour?"
"I wanted to speak with my daughter, as we didnât have the chance to during dinner."
Jacaerys nodded, his lips forming a thin line meant to resemble a smile. Helaenaâs gaze pleaded for him to stay, and he considered it for a moment but ultimately decided that it was best to give them privacy
"Very well," the prince said, more to his wife than as a response to the queen. "I wonât go far; Iâll be right outside if you need me."
Helaena gave a soft nod, and when Jacaerys let go of her hand, she quickly reached out to stop him, making a silent request he immediately understood. He leaned in and kissed her forehead, a gesture that seemed to calm her, as if that simple act had given her the strength she needed at that moment.
"My sweet daughter," Alicent whispered as she approached, wrapping her in an embrace that Helaena reluctantly accepted. She didnât enjoy her motherâs effusive hugs. "How have you been? You've replied to so few of my letters, I feared it was the bastard hiding them from you."
The princess grimaced in displeasure.
"Donât call him that," she whispered. "We donât use that word here."
Alicent looked at her as if hurt by her words, but Helaena didnât meet her eyes, so the pained expression on her motherâs face went entirely unnoticed by the young princess.
"I promise youâll soon be home again. Weâll crown Aegon, and you wonât have to stay here any longer. Heâll annul the marriage, and youâll be able toâ"
"I am at peace here," she finally said, mustering the courage to look at her mother.
She wished she hadnât. She regretted it immediately upon seeing how Alicentâs face twisted into one of displeasure. It was the same look she gave all her children, especially Aegon. Helaena didnât like it.
"Peace... among traitors," Alicent said in a low voice, shaking her head in disbelief. "You cannot trust them, Helaena. They have filled your head with lies. Rhaenyra will..."
"I have seen the dragons dance in the dark if they are not allowed to intertwine their wings," Helaena spat the words with bitterness. "You will make the dragons dance."
The queen swallowed hard, unable to hide the fear that always gripped her when her daughter spoke this way. She did not understand her and did not want to, but Helaenaâs words always lingered, haunting her mind.
"My love, I..."
Alicent reached out, trying to grasp her daughterâs arm once more, but Helaena pulled away again.
"You do not hear them, but I do," Helaena murmured, her voice a mere whisper. "The dragons are restless..."
"Helaena," Alicent tried again, her tone firmer, "this is for your own good. Everything I do is to protect you."
But the princess did not respond. She simply turned her face toward the window, gazing at the horizon beyond Dragonstone, as if there, in the distance, lay the future she so feared.

Gurl, your yandere chishiya fiction touched me in a place I haven't been touched in a long time. So please, if it's not too much could I get some headcanons about yamdere! Chishiya and his house wife darling?
He's so emotionally detached at his job of being one of the top surgeons in the country, that his only joy is coming home to his adorable house wife and a nice warm meal. It wasn't easy getting you here, he had to use his manipulation skills almost 24/7 and he needed lots of acid to melt down the bodies of your suitors. But to say he regretted it would be a lie. He would do it all over again just to see you smile.
Feat. Yandere Shuntaro Chishiya
Girl, I needed some domestic fluff Right Now, omg. Slightly suggestive Near the end.
Standards. Standards were the bane of Shuntaroâs Existence, It was just unnecessary Pressure to break down a person until they snapped â And Even for a Man as Well Organised As Chishiya They felt like a burden. Thats why After a particularly Hard day at work, Chishiya was relived that he could finally walk through the doors of his own home, finally be greeted by his Own wife. Even after The Overwhelming lack of Rest, and the fact that every part of his body ached, A Weak yet present Smile creeped up to his face for a moment as He opened his front door and a wave of heat Washed over him.
He closed The Door behind him, A Head peeking out from the end of the Hallway. âShuntaro?â He couldnât help but Grin as you said his Name, Removing his coat as he walked up to you but stayed silent. He watched as your face lit up When he Reached you, Heat rising to his cheeks as you embraced Him. âI Missed you..â You admitted Shyly, as if scared to face rejection, Yet there was no point in being shy ; if he didnât want you, why would he have gone through all of this Work to get you.
âI Missed you too, Are you making dinner?â It was almost a statement rather than a question, Even a few steps outside of the kitchen and He could still smell Whatever Mouth-watering meal you were Concocting. You nodded in response, Leading him into the kitchen, walking up to the Stove to check on the food. âUh, Its going to be a while longer..â You kept your gaze Completely on him, after all this time you were finally as entranced with him as he was you.
âI Missed you so muchâŚâ You Spoke once more, Chishiya only smirked in response as He leaned down to Gently kiss you. He Walked you into the back of the table, lips still connected ; you took the hint and Sat upon The ligneous table. He pulled away for a slight moment, Panting, before speaking âShow me how Much youâve Missed Me, Darling..â As he kissed you once more. Maybe the risk of Killing All of the other Men in your life really was Worth it â Nobody would ever find out, after all, its just You and Him who know; and his Pretty Little housewife would never Betray her husband like that, Not when he treats her this good.
