Hi in new here! I have a personal headcanon (I don't know if this is called headcanon) wherein for the past 3 years, Annie got her late glow up..

Like the time she's stuck for 4 years in crystal that prevents her from growing,, would work for the 3 years.. at first all of them (the alliance) won't notice anything, but later on pieck would be the one to notice, cause she would see that Annie become much taller than her, probably 5'4 tall, and I think their reaction would be quite funny

Once the 3 years have passed, Annie would standing full in 5'7 and haft inches, making her taller than Armin, much more stronger than before, and broader too.. and I think the alliance+ hitch reaction would be hilarious and kind of disbelief that the one of the shortest (or the shortest) person they know, gradually become tall and surpassed some of them (pieck, Armin, hitch).. and Annie are squealing and jumping in happiness inside, that she actually won't be short anymore and even taller on some on them (cause her neck is getting tired already from looking up)

And I think she would change her hairstyle eventually (not that I hate her hairstyle... But I guess I kind of dislike it too??? Hehe)

I just want some TallerGfAnnie and ShorterBfArmin. Can you make a (short) oneshot/story about this pls??? It's also ok if don't want too

Hi!!! I'm so sorry I got around to this a bit late T^T And welcome, welcome :3

This would be so funny though xD It's already hilarious that Annie's the shortest of the bunch while once having been an absolutely terrifying titan, and she's still... short after everything. Even if she can still be downright scary af when she gets angry, she's still... very smol xD I think the guys and Pieck alike use this to tease her once they get used to her constant presence post-rumbling lmaoo.

Post-rumbling Annie: *glares* Jean, Connie and Pieck: teeHEE tiny Annie's maaaaad!

But then she's also very insecure about being so short and small still! So fro Annie to gradually shoot up in height... it's dejavu for the 104th again... the female titan is back.

Suddenly Jean is a bit more scared of her because she was scary before, but now she's actually closer to his face- oh god what if he pisses her off and wakes up bald? his beautiful hair? gone?!

Connie's slightly mad because he can no longer be the tallest third-wheel (both armin and annie were shorter than him ya know). Now it's even MORE exhausting to put up with their stupid shit because Annie can and will bully him to greater extents.

Armin's quite thrilled honestly xD Why? Easy. He fell in love with the female titan y'know. Armin Arlert loves tall, lorge girls. Annie long legs very pretty!

I would love to make you a TallerGf!Annie and ShorterBf!Armin fic, although my ideas are pretty zapped atm - but one day! I'll let the idea simmer in my head and maybe I'll come up with something :3

what i said in the tags on the last post was true: today we met team skull and went to spindas cafe!!!

OBSERVATIONS

team skull's japanese name is ドクローズ which as far as i can tell means "poison rose" ... ??? nothing particularly rosy about them but sure

koffing called skuntank あにき which KILLED me because yes i know in its most basic sense its just older brother/man who is older & superior to you but the only other place ive ever heard it is in the yakuza games and i literally said in the last post that i was half expecting yakuza-esque dialogue from team skull so this made me laugh so much wwwww

skuntank was very rude (さすが). the first thing he says at all is "どけ！じゃまだ！” aka "move, outta my way!" (lit. "MOVE! (YOU) ARE AN OBSTACLE")

zubat was also very rude and called the guild omeetachi

aniki, nioi (smell/odor), and onara (fart) were all in katakana - makes sense

in politer and cuter news, wynaut's japanese name is so-nano and she ends every sentence with nano (or sometimes just no) which seems really punny and cute lol

spinda uses generally the same polite shopkeeper speech everyone else does, with some vowel elongation (practically every desu/masu turned into desuu/masuu) and several words i didn't know (although let's remember i've only played sky once before now so this was extra new to me compared to everything else)

and a couple polite speech notes: loudred speaks informally to diglett but diglett speaks politely to loudred (probably both superiority and age), and the pokemon that the protags recruit in dungeons speak politely to the protags

today was a bit shorter and tougher than previous days partially because of the spinda thing but also because i was SWIMMING in menus and dialogue. when i walked out of the cafe and chimecho came over to tell me about it i was like ohhh my god another string of text boxes...

i also realized it'd be nice if i could play it more often because the longer i go without playing, the more things i forget :P i got confused by a lot of the stuff in my inventory because i couldn't remember what half of it meant and i had to do a mix of jisho-ing and staring really hard at item descriptions until things came to me...sigh

but overall things are still going pretty well. except for the sentry game, today was round 2 of that and i actually failed twice and got like the lowest prize tier!!!! can you believe that!!!! very flop. but aside from that i'm making my way...and learning boatloads of new words!!

Barging into Chris’ house in a hurry, the first thing you hear is your son’s feet hitting the hardwood floor as he runs to greet you. “Mom!”

“Oh,” you chuckle seeing him run around without a shirt on. Crouching down, he runs into you, opening his arms for a hug. “Hi buddy. Did you have fun? Where’s your dad?��� You continue asking him about his weekend as you stand back up, and take his hand, pulling him along with you to find Chris. “We gotta get home. He has plans tonight, and I’m late–”

He's standing there laughing when you turn the corner into the kitchen where he just got done cleaning up from dinner. “Very late,” he teases, hoisting the boy up on the counter so he can put his shirt back on him.

“I'm sorry,” you cringe, genuinely feeling bad even though he's clearly not bothered by it. “My meeting just kept going and going. No one would shut– be quiet,” you correct yourself in front of little ears. “I sped here though! I know you have a date, so–”

“It’s okay,” he laughs, cutting off your rambling. “I don't want you speeding, by the way,” he warns playfully, shooting you a look. “Why don't you stay and give him a b-a-t-h so he’s ready for b-e-d. Maybe he’ll s-l-e-e–”

“Wow okay, yeah.” You wave your hands to get him to stop talking and help your son back onto the floor, telling him to race you to the upstairs bathroom. “I had too long of a day for you to be spelling things at me. But that’s a good idea. Then we'll get out of here, I promise.”

“Take your time,” he smiles, watching you turn away to book it up the steps.

It’s only a couple minutes later when his girlfriend arrives. Setting her stuff on the counter, she heads to the bathroom to freshen up quickly before they go out.

While he waits, he rummages for a spare key to lay on the counter for you so you can lock his door when you leave, but in the process he gets distracted by her phone vibrating loudly against the marble countertop. She mustn't have locked it before setting it down, so without meaning to, he finds himself engrossed in the text conversation she was having with a friend just minutes before.

Maybe that's what I should do. She's set for life now, is what the newest message reads. He wouldn't have given it a second thought if he hadn't caught a glimpse of your name a few messages up.

His face falls as he scrolls through the chat bubbles, even more so realizing she was sat just outside in her car having the conversation.

Oh God, Y/N is still here 🙄 Probably trying to talk him out of going out with me.

Her voice from across the room when she sees him looking at her phone barely fazes him, anger having taken over every one of his senses.

Exhaling a deep breath through his nose, he finally looks up, running a hand over his beard, trying to gather his thoughts. “Just reading these nice messages you were sending about Y/N.”

“Oh, come on,” she tries to wave it off. “I was kidding… You know?”

“Kidding about which part exactly?” He looks back down to reread the messages to her. “The part here where you imply I’m stuck–” He emphasizes the word with air quotes. “–with my son. Or… This part where you accuse Y/N of being some kind of gold digger? Which part was a joke?”

“I'm sorry,” she says carefully. “But everyone thinks it, Chris.”

“No,” he shakes his head, finally putting her phone down. “No, not people who know me and her. People who know me know I love my son, and I love his mother. She is one of my best friends. Sometimes my only friend, I think.”

“Babe, don’t say that–”

“Stop.” He steps back when she reaches to rest a hand on his arm. “You need to leave before they come back down here.”

Upstairs, you were oblivious to the entire exchange until the very end. The only part you hear is Chris telling her to leave when you step into the hallway to quickly grab a towel for your son.

Not knowing what caused it, you take your time getting him in his pajamas and getting all his stuff together to go home, giving Chris a minute alone.

When you finally reappear downstairs, he’s sitting at his table with a beer, tie removed and buttons on his shirt undone, clearly not going anywhere anymore tonight.

“I thought I heard someone come in,” you break the silence, deciding to play clueless, not wanting him to know you heard anything. “Where'd she go?”

“Oh,” he jumps, sitting up straighter now that you guys are standing there. “She decided she wasn't feeling well,” he shrugs. “So she left.”

Nodding slowly, you let it go for now, and start to tell him you're on your way out, but he’s quick to interject.

“It’s getting late. Would you guys just wanna stay the night?”

“Oh, I don't know,” you pretend to ponder, as if you don't already know what your son’s answer is going to be. “Buddy,” you squeeze his hand and look down at him. “You want to spend one more night here with dad?”

“Sleepover with daddy!” He nods excitedly, running off with his blanket to claim his spot on the sofa, knowing that means a movie night is in store.

“Sleepover with daddy it is,” you laugh.

The young boy ends up falling asleep pretty quickly, his head resting on Chris' legs while the rest of his body separates the two of you.

He drops his head back and lets out a deep sigh before facing you and telling you everything.

“I wish I was with you for the money,” you scoff jokingly when he's done. “You haven't given me any!”

“Yeah because you refuse to take it,” he laughs, but pauses suddenly and looks at you more seriously for a split second. “Do you want money?”

“No,” you chuckle, shaking your head. Silence consumes you both again momentarily while you move over to sit closer to him, having to lift your son’s legs so he's on your lap too. “Oh my God,” you groan. “He's heavy. Gonna be fucking huge like you.”

“Uh yeah, better be. I wanna see him in that Patriots defensive line in 30 years.”

“Whatever,” you snort. “I'm sorry your night went to shit.”

“Nah, it didn't go to shit,” he assures you. “I’d rather spend time with you guys anyway.”

You hum and both turn your attention to the movie again for a few seconds.

“Did I tell you about my last date?” He shakes his head no. “He left halfway through because he saw my lock screen, which is a picture of him,” you explain, pointing at your sleeping kid. “I usually don't tell them right away, but he asked so I had no choice, like who else's kid would it be, you know? So he got real nervous acting and did the classic go-to-the-restroom-and-not-return move.”

“Gees,” he sighs, letting out a short laugh. “Sorry.”

“I'm just gonna stop letting guys convince me to go out with them. Never ends well, I swear.”

“Maybe we’re both just meant to be perpetually single.”

“Maybe,” you nod, resting your head on his shoulder.

“Would you ever let me convince you to go out…” His question comes out slow and quiet, once again averting your attention from the TV. “On a date with me,” he clarifies. “I meant.”

“Is this really how you're asking me?” He can't see it, but the grin on your face is impossible to repress. “With Nemo still playing while our kid sleeps on us?”

“Yup,” he laughs quietly. “Apparently so.”

“Well,” you sigh, lifting your head to look at him. “I suppose I let you knock me up… I don't see why I shouldn't let you take me on a date.”

Andy's stomach churned when he sees you. In a very good way. It's been a good two years since the break up and he can barely believe that he's seeing you right then and there— in the corner of the cafe that Andy knows you love going to. Your voice made his heart flip. It's so goddamn beautiful and Andy misses it so damn much.

He doesn't even know why he's so stunned at the sight of you. It's the only reason why he's there— why he's always going there almost every weekend, hoping to get a glimpse of you sometime. You're in the fuzzy, furry jacket that you're always wearing on chilly days, your hair pulled up with a claw clip and your laptop right in front of you with a cup of coffee right by the side.

He tried to get over you, he really did. But even after all the women he met after you, no one made him feel the same way you did. The butterflies in his stomach he gets just talking to you like some teenager, or how his heart just flutters when you smiled at him with that beautiful grin.

Andy couldn't help but look at you every two minutes, while he's waiting in the queue for his turn. He's thinking of what to say if he even has the guts to walk up to you and say hi.

The break up wasn't necessarily bad... it was mutual. Kinda. You were in the middle of your studies and you just wanted to focus on doing well and getting your masters. It's not that Andy was a distraction— really, he actually helped a lot. But between studying and trying to make sure you don't abandon Andy, you realised that taking a break would be good for the both of you.

You were young, only 24 while Andy was 14 years older than you are. He's so mature and wise that you just felt that you just wanted to grow as your own person before you and Andy took it any further and got more serious. You thought that you'd work on yourself, fixing up your flaws and make yourself just grow into a better version of yourself. And as much as Andy disagreed, he didn't want to force you to keep being with him. He thought that maybe, you both could just grow as time passes, and that you can change right next to him.

But he just agreed with you, because he definitely does not want to pressure you into being in a relationship with him no matter how much he actually wants you to stay with him. So technically, it was a mutual break-up to you. But he didn't really feel the same.

And unsurprisingly, Andy simply cannot get over you. Two years passed, and he just wishes that you're by his side again.

"Hi! What can I get for you?"

Andy snaps out of his trance, stepping towards the cashier and ordering his coffee to-go with a bagel as well. He takes a quick glance at you before he decides to change his mind. "Actually— I'll just have those here."

Wait— you recognise that voice.

You instantly glance up from the screen of your laptop, watching the familiar back and broad shoulders standing at the cashier. Holy fuck- Andy?

Your gaze turns back down to your laptop, your mind trying to decide between approaching him or just letting him go... again... like you did 2 years ago. He still fits into those polo tees like a glove, the jeans barely doing his ass justice but it really accentuates his goddamn thighs.

Fuck. Two damn years and you still have it bad for him.

"Can I join?" Andy glances down at some blueprint or floor-plan thing you have on your laptop. "Unless I'm interrupting— you look busy."

"Andy—" You turned to him and back to the opened floor-plan on the screen. "No, no. Hey-" You lowered the screen and put it aside, leaving some space for Andy. You gestured at him to join you in the booth.

Andy takes up the offer, setting the cup in his hand and the bagel right in front of you before he slides in. "Hey,"

You let out a breathy laugh as you look at him, fidgeting with your fingers underneath the table. "Been a long time."

"Yeah," He nods, offering you one of his adorable smiles as he rests his forearms on the table. "I stopped seeing you around, thought you moved away."

"I thought you did— till I heard the news talking about one of your cases." You retort, lips curling into a soft smile. "How've you been, Andy?"

"Same old, y'know. Long hours at the office and takeout nights. Nothing really changed." Andy grins, "How's everything goin' for ya?"

Oh— and he definitely isn't wrong when he said 'nothing really changed'. For this 40-year-old man to still look like the Andrew Stephen Barber you met like 4 years ago? Phew.

"Uhm- pretty good! I'm uh- I just signed a contract with Perkins and Will."

Andy's lips curled into a wide grin. "You did it!"

He remembers?

Your head tilts as you look at him. "You remember?"

"Of course, hon. That's your dream firm." He reaches over table and pats your hand. "I'm happy for you, Y/n."

"Thank you, Andy," You brush a hand through your hair, eyeing Andy in his whole polo tee and jeans glory. "I'm surprised you aren't working on a Saturday morning,"

Andy lets out a laugh at your words, "Yeah- I just thought, y'know. Uh- I'm old enough to stop being such a workaholic."

You raised a brow at that, "Andy, you aren't old." You give him a suggestive glance as your eyes trace his whole figure. "Definitely don't look like it."

"I'll say the same thing for ya, Y/n." Andy didn't bother hiding his gaze either, eyes trailing down your body till it's back up to your face. "Two damn years and you still look as gorgeous as ever, sweetheart."

A breathy laugh leaves your lips. "Always as flattering as ever, Mr Barber."

"You know I'm an honest person, sweetheart." Andy winks before he takes a sip of his coffee.

You hum as you run your finger on the edge of your own cup. "I remember you telling me that all lawyers are really good liars."

You love how familiar this feels. It's like nothing has changed and both of you are back in 2019. Good, good days. Letting Andy go was a dumb move on your side, you realised that pretty soon after the break-up. You should've known that you and Andy would've made it work someway, somehow.

"C'mon, honey. Y'know I can never lie to you." The wide smile he has on his lips is as charming as ever and god if it doesn't just make you fall in love again- as if you ever fell out of love with him in the first place. Andy clears his throat, a hand inching to the back of his neck and softly rubbing the spot. You instantly realised that he's a little nervous. "You dating anyone?"

You let out an almost silent snort, scoffing at his question. "Ya think? I just called you hot five minutes ago, handsome."

Andy takes a bite of his bagel, looking up at you through those goddamn long eyelashes as his mouth moves to chew the food and those fucking pink lips making you stare at him like a horny teenager.

"You've got to stop staring at me like that, sweetheart." He warns, but the glint in his eyes is telling you that he really doesn't mind you staring him up like that.

Your brows raised immediately in defence. "Like what?"

You tried your best to fight the grin fighting its way to form on your lips. But Andy is a goddamn lawyer, after all. He knows his shit and he knows that you're just being a tease.

He huffs, brow arched as he looks at you. "Like you wanna eat me." He replies shortly, lips curling into a smirk. "Cause I was planning to take this slow after 2 whole years. And you aren't helping."

You hum, picking your cup up and taking a sip from it, hiding the grin forming on your lips behind the cup. "You can still wine and dine me if you wanna." You set the cup down and lean forward, head tilted to one side with your head resting in your palm. "But y'know, I'm pretty impatient."

Andy laughs, backing away from you and resting back against his seat. "Guess it's good that I've got enough patience for both of us, huh?"

You laugh at his words. "We'll see, Mr Barber."

He takes your words as an invite to ask you out. "Dinner tonight? My place."

You playfully rolls your eyes, ignoring the little flutter in your heart. "Who's impatient now?"

"It's a yes or no question, sweetheart."

"Still that cute little loft?"

"I'll text you my new address later."

You couldn't fight the grin forming on your lips. "It's a date."

He was at the grocery store when he pulled out his phone and goes to your contact to shoot you a text. It has always been there, saved and never deleted. He didn't want to get rid of the hope that he might have you back.

Andy: 242 Warren St [sent 3.24pm]

Andy: See you tonight, sweetheart. [sent 3.25pm]

You didn't reply so Andy just assumed that you read it. He's looking forward to seeing you again tonight and he's excited.

She told you she was bored and you thought to bring the most boring game in existence?” You weren’t sure where his hostility was coming from but you were beginning to grow even more annoyed. A hostility of your own forming.

“It was out already when you dropped her off, without notice by the way, and she was curious. What’s the issue? You may think it’s boring but I like chess a-” “Kyomi isn’t fucking like you!” Jungkook cut you off with a stern yell, not loud enough to cause a scene in your apartment building but loud enough to risk Kyomi waking up. You both hadn’t thought of that in the heat of the moment. All you could think about was how his words cut right through you; a familiar sting you hadn’t felt in six years began to develop in your chest. Before you could even begin to respond, Jungkook kept going and sunk his proverbial dagger deeper into your heart. “And I don’t want her to be.” The room feel silent, no more were the clattering pieces of wood against the chess board or the chime of Jungkook’s chain bracelets as he moved his hands around. You finally realised what a deafening silence felt like because despite the tranquility, your heart had never been so loud in your ears. Drumming like the bass in a loud parade except there was no joy or laughter, just migraines and heartache.
