I'm this 👌 close to making memes and comparatives about le rouge et le noir (both book and l'opéra rock and a very great soviet adaptation)
#I swear it's the most obvious yet random hyperfixation I could get.#obvious because I literally had it in my required lit list for uni (+ my mother was a theater actress)#random because I literally got a song from the rock opera adaptation on shuffle#dammit... julien and louise... somehow they fit all the criteria of those complex dynamics I love#AND THEY'RE SO FUCKING DUMB IT'S LETHAL I LOVE THEM SO MUCH-#not to mention that their first meeting is literally louise mistaking julien for a very pretty lady#and it's pretty much that meme 'I thought you were a butch. I thought you were a twink!'

what are your favorite and least favorite ships? 👀
Oh boy do I have a lot of opinions
- tbh I like a lot of Jo ships. Jock joeather jomaria,, ngl lately I’ve been in a joeather mood. Her x any girl is always a classic. The only guy I can ship her with is brick really 😭 I think they have really good chemistry. And I am a sucker for rivalries + it’s been a childhood OTP. I low key thought they were gonna end up together when I first watched s4.
Now I could write essays on joeather forever. Their rivalry could’ve been something great but the writers were awful. I think Jo should kiss her enemies
- yeah sorry I’m a duncney enjoyer and I do not care how toxic they were. Adds flavor. Heathney is excellent too. Courtney just needs someone who will enable her bad behavior (also sorry I prefer heathney over gwourtney). The TikTok fandom is really annoying about duncney tho because I’ll see videos about how “why does no one ever talk about how toxic duncney is :(“ while all the tumblr fandom does is talk about how they can make them worse lmaooo
- samkota is my favorite canon couple
- MKulia duhhhh I’ve been a shipper since I watched the reboot, which I started watching probably a month before s2 got released. Toxic yuri
- Chemma in the sense that it’s ironic and I can just make memes about them I don’t actually like them
- gwoey ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
- Trent x Lindsay is a secret rarepair of mine. They can be cute
- SKYELLLAA as much as I love toxic yuri I love wholesome stuff too. I think they are neat
- sanders x MacArthur. Idek how to explain what kind of relationship they’d have but I think they are both butch lesbians. MacArthur you are my lord and savior
Okay least favorites let’s go. Also heads up I don’t really care for any of the m/m ships 😭 mostly because I don’t care for many of the male characters lol
- zoke. They didn’t even do anything wrong like I LIKE them but they’re just so boring and unentertaining that what’s even the point yk. And when Zoey got superpowers after Mike left. Stop. Secondhand embarrassment. Like in s4 they were obnoxious at best but in all stars that made me truly pray on their downfall. I like fanon zoke.
In my mind they had a sweet romance that lasted a few years until they got a bigger divorce and left on good terms
- any and all Noah ships sorryyyy he’s overrated and I don’t like Noah at all. I don’t get the hype around alenoah it’s not that good. Everytime someone calls MKulia yuri alenoah an evil politician gets another year added to their life. I don’t like you. Like I get why people like noco. Just pure fluff, which isn’t for me, and they did have that ear kiss which was something, but I still hate it
I saw someone say alenoah was basically just aleheather without heather and yeah. Everytime I see someone list out the reasons Alejandro would be into Noah it’s just the same reasons Alejandro’s into heather.
Also MKulia is more like joeather anyway but whateva,,
- I don’t even make that many sexuality headcanons bc I guess I just don’t think about it but I can tell you who’s straight. Damien is straight. He is the most heterosexual person the series has ever made. I don’t think he should be shipped to with men. Also Wayne is straight
- sugella because as much as I love toxic yuri, that doesn’t even sound like fun toxicity just misery. It’s not for me 😭 I still stan sugar tho
- ripaxel. I tried to like it SORRRYYYY ripper is annoying and he needs the death penalty. Everytime they’re compared to jock I lose a year off my life. Ripaxel is what jock haters think jock shippers like. You are all wrong.
Axel is my queen and lord and savior. It’s okay babygirl we can ride off into the sunset together
- prileb. Why did it exist. I hate this. But seeing priya in love was pretty cute I gotta admit
- gwuncan. Self explanatory
- Scottney cause wtf 😭😭😭 once again I like them in the sense that I can make memes about it but bro SCOTT???? Courtney you can do better than that thing. Scott has skidmarks
- fanon brott 💀💀💀 I don’t like fanon brick in general. Y’all do him dirty. Ong Scott would not let brick use him as his Barbie doll for clothes. Scott would make fun of brick for liking fashion. Do you know nothing about Scott? Saw someone once say that they would watch legally blonde together HELL NO.
Also I really really hate that when I go out looking for jomaria fanfics, they’re only ever tagged as side couples in brott fics. Are you kidding me.
- bro the malejandro fanfics 😭 who is writing these things. Some of those titles make me lose it. I think we all should stop acknowledging mal and all stars existences
- gwody. Once again that big ass chin motherfucker doesn’t deserve Gwen.
- Jo x any other guy. Sorry. She doesn’t deserve any of those fuckers. Jock is the exception because at least he’d treat her right but even then he’s just a guy
- I don’t like Scott x anyone in general. Even Dott I’m hesitant because it would never work out and that’s what makes it soooo fun to explore because in the end she always ends up killing him
bruh most of these yaoi ships piss me off idk I don’t get the appeal for any of them. But I draw whatever people ask from me idrc it’s not a big deal LOLLL
Also this fandom is so goddamn cringe for calling straight couples yuri/yaoi. YOU LOOK EMBARRASSING OKAY
There’s a lot more couples I dislike than like tbh. I don’t think this fandom or its opinions sorry guys

hello, im currently making a sort-of remake of your Blorbo Bleebus template (both to make a higher resolution image, darkmode version and transparent versions) and am debating making some changes to it (e.g. changing fruity to queer). Are there any changes you would make nowadays if you could?
originally put this at the end but the post got long so i'm moving it up here. Anyway I really appreciate you doing this and I also appreciate you reaching out about it. If you think I'm full of shit on any or all of the lines, feel free to completely ignore it, I don't mind. I would love to see your version when you're done! Good luck!
Anyway. Honestly I'd probably change up a lot of it - all of the elements were from various memes, and not all of them are in fashion. The only reason fruity is even on there (I don't particularly like the word myself either) is because the original meme that spawned the entire thing (including the idea of it being a blorbo rating system) was from a wine-flavor label - and thus "fruity" was a particularly awkward choice of a word for it to try to say "this tastes like grapes" lol. I don't think almost anyone who saw the sheet had seen that, though, or knew much about wine tasting (no shade, me either), so like a bunch of the other jokes it falls flat to basically everyone lmao.
These are what I would change. You don't have to do any of these, of course. But it's the ones I'd do. Sorry for how much it bounces around, most of them are just "the first thing i thought of after looking at the sheet again" so it's kind of random and not well organized.
#1: "Flavor Container" turned out to be a much more niche thing than I thought it was; replace it with something that gets at the idea of a character being an "archetype" or "really conentrated" amount of that kind of thing that works better and has more broad-spectrum immediate understanding Or just like, some other type of character-describing meme, up to you
#2: someone pointed out (rightly!) that there is one gender-specific subtype (himbo) on there but no female-specific gender subtype, and that the cat meme i put in as placeholder text on the character box uses he/him pronouns, which both kind of push it toward being gender-specific even though that wasn't what I had wanted. I'd either switch Himbo out for a more recent and less gendered meme or add a female-gendered meme (eg: "girlboss", "butch fatale", etc) to even out the subtypes, and swap out the pronouns on the cat meme for they/them instead of he/him. Might also be worthwhile to switch the bar option for "just some guy" for something like "just some rando" but honestly that doesn't have the same energy; I don;t think there is a properly gender-neutral equivalent for 'guy' that i can think of that won't sound forced and as long as it's not directed at anyone in particular I think that one can be left alone. Tbh if you're switching fruity out you should almost definitely also do these.
#3. i'm pretty sure calling things skrunkly is on its way out, i'd come up with a more recent meme adjective for the name spot i think
#4. one of the bars in the middle of the page goes between "1,000 tools" and "1,000 weapons", which (because I expected at most 30 notes) I figured would be similarly comprehensible to flavor container. It's meant to reflect an outlook on life, ie, do they build things up to solve problems or do they attack and tear down their problems? I don't think this is a very effective set and also it's not a good joke, so it's probably best to put something else there.
#5. the "you want them to have" section is clunky and not very good, which is because that was the last part i did when I made it and I rushed it because I was bored of the project by then. I think there are a lot more interesting things to talk about than "do they have sex" "do they have romance" "do they have friends" and "did you hate their ending specifically" BUT also i have been informed that this is the shipping website and I'm not really a huge shipper, so my lack of interest in most of the contents of those boxes might not be reflective of everyone else's! Please use your best judgement here, if you like that bit then you can absolutely keep it. That being said I think it would be interesting to get into something like "tropes" instead, switching out the idea of like, desirable plot beats for the character with like, desirable common storytelling tropes or something to suhove the character into, or genres, or w/e. it would also suit the rest of the sheet better. i also think it would be more fun to be filling in boxes like "go in the dark" and "bonk on head with giant mallet" and "hunted for sport" than "more romance" and "less romance", if you follow me lol
#6. The idea of the slider bars is fine, but the shape is apparently kind of tough for people to work with unless they're confident drawing digitally in some way, so intead of doing a straight black line with a black line down the center, I would do an outlined bar with a black line down the center, sort of like the below. I think this will be easier for people to fill in with a paint bucket tool or w/e and hopefully save some wrists.
#7. I keep seeing comments asking for it to be a fillable PDF as well, which is like, not something I am capable of making if I'm honest. I don't do PDFs. No idea if you do, but if you do have the ability, it might be a solid plan to make it as a PDF first so it can be converted into a fillable PDF somehow. I took a stab at doing that yesterday but then i got frustrated and bored and gave up lol.
#8. tbh if you're making it a bigger resolution this might not be an issue but the text is really kind of small. I'd probably change the image ratio and scale a lot of the text up, sort of like this (sorry i am not working on a computer where i have robust photo editing tools or the original file so i am just sort of cutting it up in photopea with my mouse so it looks kind of jank). The reason for this is because the program I made it in just sort of opened with a printer-paper-sized page and i went "cool, I can work with that" and didn't change it. But when sharing and posting it, it becomes hard to read.
(this also doesnt really work... i'm not very good at optimizing things for post-readability ;-;)
#9. the slider between "stupid as shit" and "scary-smart" isnt that good, i'd swap it for "not the..." and "sharpest tool in the shed" respectively, because i think that that is more fun. or something along those lines
#10. I already said I would change this bit out entirely, but if you do keep the "you want them to have" section mostly as-is, the last eight or so don't really fit with what's already there - "freedom", "catharsis", "justification", "The Realization", "revenge", "conseequences", "sympathy" and "a satisfying ending" are about the writing the character is situated in, but "a better/worse time", "better/worse situation", "more/less trauma", "more/less healing", "more/less/different romance", "more/less/different sex", "more/less/different friends", "painful isolation" and "a family" are about relationships and emotional experiences the character is having in-universe. I guess you could leave freedom, revenge and consequences in there, but they don't really suit it well. I'd either switch the last handful for things that fit the theme (and also the more/less/different/none scheme), or make the entire thing center around the writing choices in the original narrative they're from.
#11. If you're redoing it from the ground up, you also get to pick a better font... I badly wish I had done all the titles in Impact (the meme font, you know the one) because I think it would've been funny. I probably would've put like, "bottom text" at the very bottom of the page too but that's probably not as funny to anyone who isn't me. I didn't want to bother tweaking it when I finished it, so it has NBOS's default font (I think it was Arial Black?) instead.
#12. I'd probably switch "soft and sweet" to "cinnamon roll", i've seen that one make a comeback recently and also it's so old that the fact that it's out of date brings some kind of humor to it along with it in a way that "soft and sweet" doesn't really do.
#13. "aspirational character" doesn't really do anything in the subclass list anyway - it's not interesting or funny and much of what it covers is also covered by "just like you fr" and "braincell haver", so i'd also replace that one with a more interesting recent character meme.
#14. tbh the checkboxes underneath the picture box were me taking a bunch of potshots at Batman specifically (well, besides murderer, but that was beacuse I needed another line). In the spirit of it, if you have a particularly common Kind of blorbo that other people keep putting on your dash nowadays, it would probably make sense to take their traits and put them in there instead until if you check all of them off you get that character instead. Keep it updated and fresh and fun and all that lol.
Also - last things-
please don't write me in as the "original creator" or w/e - I was cribbing so much from so many other people and places that I don't really feel like it's worth crediting it all to me, all I did was grid it out. No idea if that was part of your plan but if it was like. don't worry about it, if it wasn't, then that's great because that works for both of us :D
understand if you're not interested or don't want it, but if it would be helpful, I can send you a probably way higher resolution version than is floating around on Tumblr if you like - the program I made it with was designing it to be a printable sheet so it's a high enough resolution that the edgtes would all print nice and crisply, I think Tumblr just has a maximum image size and my layout didn't work very well with it lmao

37, 41!
(For this ask meme.)
37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?
I'd call this one a pretty deep cut: Collateral, Red vs. Blue, my first attempt at playing with some headcanons about Carolina post-Freelancer, but through the eyes of one of the low-ranking Freelancers left to clean up the mess. (Those headcanons made their way into Radio Silence in more detail; it's not finished but that stuff's pretty early.)
And looking at it again, I must note that this was written before the 479 name reveal in season 17. I will probably go back and change it at some point. That point is not today.
41. Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.”
I'll give a shoutout here to one of the first longfics I fell in love with and the one that made me want to write longfic myself: Trouble, a Butch/Harkness Fallout fic by @rustypinhead. I blame Rusty for my deep love of slow burn and most especially of "I thought you were dead." 🙂

Hello, can I ask you for some advice on how to stop disliking your height? I'm pretty much the same height as you, so about 5'3 or 5'4, which is about average for women in my country. When it comes to other unchangeable things like body hair and facial features and even personality I don't really care what others think, but with height specifically I always get a little upset whenever I see memes online making fun of shorter people, esp women, or when some people on here (sometimes so-called feminists) imply shorter women are ALWAYS weak physically and inferior in every way or are childlike. I don't even struggle with anything in particular, but these kinda things do get to me sometimes.
I am 5'3 and have been this height since 10th grade. I thought of myself as "average" even when I played volleyball because I just happen to play on the shortes team in our league. 5'1 the shortest and 5'8 being the tallest.
Then sometimes people will meet me, and it happens all the time, they will say 'WOW I thought you were tall!" In my head I started thinking.. maybe I am short? I guess I didn't put too much stock into it because I just didn't think about myself in comparson to others until others pointed it out.
Short women like me need to learn somethings. LIKE leverage is our friend. What we lack in height we make up for ingenuity. I can lift a hay bale but I have to use my knee, other bales, some creative movement. We learn that we can't reach things but we don't hit our head as much. When we fall we are closer to the ground.
Tall people deal with stupid questions. "how's the weather?" "OMG HOW tall ARE you?" Tall women get called intimidating or manly even if they are quite feminine.
No woman escaped the scrutiny of society. It seems to always find something to point out as Non conforming.
The most powerful butch I know is my best friend Jen. She has climbed all seven summits in the world (8 actually), over came an injured knee to climb a peak in Antartica, and can cut/stack wood or pile hay bales all day with me and she is my height. 5'3.
BUT one does not have to be physcially strong to be perfect fine. Not everyone, not every butch even, has physical health or strength. Our worth is not based on physical power, although some might have it and love that trait about themselves, not everyone does.
Outside bullshittery is rampant in our world, expecially since the internet came along and many people seem to think it is the place to come on and criticise and demean anyone they want, often for zero reasons other than just to be a Keyboard Jackass.
I guarantee people, friends who care about you love you the way you are and your height plays no part in that. If you have a girlfriend chances are your lack of tallness is very much apart of why she is attracted to you.
I have been lovingly called a Pocket Sized Butch. Yeah... I lll take that. It fits me. My last girlfriend is 5'9 and she thought (and told me so) she loved it when I stood on my tipee toes to get a kiss.
Pay no heed to those who have criticism of anything you can't change, hell, even stuff you can change. Be you.

So i have to know your thoughts on the ppg and rrb and social media. Which ones do you think they would go for and how do you think they would do(if the followers from just being heros didn't count)?
I feel like the order from most to least followers would look something like:
1. Bubbles
2. Buttercup
3. Boomer
4. Blossom
5. Butch
dead last Brick
Bubbles is basically an influencer, all her posts are scheduled and fit her aesthetic exactly, she posts reels and goes live, has pretty much every app imaginable, and posts on her story daily.
Buttercup is more of a loose cannon, but she’s got a pretty decent following because, as much as the world claims to be terrified of her, a good majority admires from afar and stalks her account every other day. her posts are mostly videos of her skateboarding or playing one of the seasonal sports, training videos, a few outfit pics are thrown in here and there, but every once in awhile she’ll post pictures of her and her friends that get probably the most likes out of all 6 accounts. her followers go ballistic when she posts pictures of just her and Butch (they were shipping them together before either of them even thought about the potential relationship), to the point where she has to limit the comments beforehand
Boomer has a following but only because the majority of his followers are 14 year old girls who like him for his 90’s boy band vibes. his posts are limited to thirst traps only, posting any and all other content on his story. he has well over 10 highlights all filled to the brim, which don’t even have categories or names because he just throws whatever he posts into all of them. he reshares instagram reposted tumblr memes on his story daily. his bio literally just has “Boom(er) like the sound your heart makes when you see me.” then a tag of Bubbles’s account with a heart next to it. everyone is embarrassed for him.
Blossom’s account has exactly one (1) picture of her on their instagram and the only reason they haven’t archived it yet is because the one time Bubbles saw it off of their feed she figured out Blossoms password and unarchived it, then went on a 30 minute rant about how “image is important” “people need to see what you look like when you’re not being all business-y”. the rest of her account is just clips from press conferences so she can get the word out of the important parts, and candid, unedited pictures of their friends. they do not know how to work instagram.
Butch is similar to Boomer with the thirst traps, but he has a secret meme account that has twice the amount of followers as everyone else. Boomer has unknowingly reshared multiple of his memes on his story. he has a pretty large following on tik tok though, posting a lot of those “pranking my brother” series or those couple-y tiktoks (like the ones chris and ian do. they’re the only ones I can think of right now but-) with Buttercup, even before they got together. “PRETEND TO BE MY GIRLFRIEND FOR LIKE 10 MINUTES” “why-“ “TIK TOK” “but-“ “JUST D O IT BUTTERCUP ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SIT THERE AND TALK WHILE I PRETEND LIKE I CANT HEAR YOU FOR A MINUTE” “what’s funny about that” “ITS A TIKTOK”
Brick rarely posts but when he does it’s the most dramatic fucking emo shit ever. probably B&W pictures of some random body of water he found in god knows where with the caption “🖤 it’s quieter here”. his brothers blast him for it. “fucking nerd” “s(he) be(lie)ve(d) ass bitch go watch twighlight or something”. beyond that, despite his brilliance, Brick cannot figure out how to work this app. he tried sending a picture of his math homework answers to Buttercup once and accidentally posted it on his feed, story, and somehow (?) sent it to every single person in his recent direct messages. every time instagram updates it’s format he has a mental breakdown. “i JUST figured out the old one” “no you didn’t, Brick” “I know but I was GETTING there”
in conclusion Blossom was reluctantly forced into social media, everyone is in love with Buttercup, Butch is famous but no one knows it, Boomer is a walking anxiety filled thirst trap, Bubbles should start a youtube channel, and Brick and an over dramatic bitch that tries so hard to be cool and aesthetic but his brothers won’t let him have his moment

do you have any advice for trying to tell weather someone’s into you? I’m really into one of my friends and it would be great if it worked out because she’s also a bi butch which is nice but I don’t really want to tell her I like her if I don’t know if she feels the same
okay! finally found the time to answer this. i’m not going to act like an expert on this because if i did, everyone who knows me and follows this blog would neg me to hell, and with good reason. at the same time, i think there are some things i can say about it, starting with the fact that it’s all pretty relative. it depends on the person, what their personality is, how they interact with people. keep in mind everyone has their own love language, and so someone who typically shows affection physically will have different tells than someone who defaults to showing affection with gifts or with words. there’s a few ways that can show up:
- she initiates a lot of the conversations with you, and seems to be going out of her way to do so — same thing with hanging out
- she really hustles when you two hang out, not wanting to be late
- she prolongs opportunities to hang out with you as long as she can, and seems disproportionately regretful when she has to go
- she’s more comfortable around you than most people, whether that be sharing secrets, being touchy, or joking around and trying to make you laugh
- she’s always offering to do favors for you or casually gives gifts (leftover food she knows you like, little things like that)
- she brightens up when she sees you by chance and always seems especially excited to talk to you
- she compliments your hair or your clothes a lot, seems to notice when you change things about your appearance
- she jokes around with you physically a lot, like light rough-housing, or lightly catching you on the shoulders when you make dumb jokes
- she gets you thoughtful gifts around the holiday and seems pretty invested in you liking them
- she frequently sends you things that remind her of you, like song recommendations or memes
- she stays up late talking to you, especially if she isn’t normally a night owl
- she makes plans with you frequently — like finding out you haven’t seen a certain movie and going, “we’re fixing that this friday” — especially if she chooses to make those one-on-one
those are some of the ways people who’ve liked me in the past have shown that they were into me before we spoke about it. obviously not all of these will apply perfectly to everyone, and everyone is different. not for nothing a lot of people will, similarly to you, try not to show signs as much as they can until they think they have a chance with the other person, or if they’re worried it’s unrequited, or for whatever other reason they don’t think they have a chance with them. and not for nothing, a lot of the signs that someone might be into you romantically could also be signs that they just consider you a really close friend. i don’t really have advice for telling a difference there, because i have a hard time spotting it sometimes, and i think most people do — all i can say is sometimes it just feels different, somehow. i hate to pull ambiguities like that on you, but it’s the truth.
and also, i’ve said this before, but i’ve personally remained friends with people i’ve dated in the past, as well as some people who like, either i or they confessed a crush, but we didn’t date. in both of those cases, we had a little break period where we distanced for a minute until things felt normal again, and then, because we liked each other platonically too, we kept talking, and a few of those people are some of my closest friends now. if the friendship has any salt, it’ll hold past a crush, at least in my experience, so don’t stress too much over it.
i hope any of that helped -- if anyone else has any advice please comment, and if you have any other questions or updates about the situation, pls feel free to leave another ask about it!!
#asks#anonymous#i feel like half the time i only really realized things in retrospect so im not the best person to ask but LOL here's what i can give

How would the skeles react and treat their S/O who is usually sweet, kind of shy and vulnerable yet turns incredibly sassy, have terrible mood swings (the '1st sec happy, 2nd sec mad, 3rd sec sad' kind of mood swings), and sometimes have pains that make them curl up and whimper when their period hits? (ps. The mood swings are the worst, and they're sassy because they're just blurting out the words without thinking.)
Oof, that sounds rough buddy
Mafiatale Sans: He’s...honestly not sure what to do. He’s a bit awkward, especially when you’re super happy one second and then pissed off the next. So, you know, he mostly tries to stay out of your way, unless you ask him to do stuff with you. Sometimes, he’ll just very sneakily slide a treat under your door and then run.
Mafiatale Papyrus: He didn’t know that your emotions were affected by your period! He thought it was just the blood! Well, he knows better now. He tries to be more careful with what he says when you’re on your period, he doesn’t want to make you sad or angry on accident! Don’t worry, if you get emotional, he’s there to help you!
Mafiaswap Sans (Lucky): He’s honestly a little bit nervous. He does NOT want to make you sad or anything, but he’s not good at watching what he says. So he just kind of tiptoes around you when you’re on your period. If you need emotional support, he’ll do his best, but still does his best to watch his tongue. Of course, cuddles are pretty safe, so that’s what he usually defaults to.
Mafiaswap Papyrus (Slim): If you thought he was awkward before, you had no idea what awkward was. He’s not squeamish about the blood, he’s just scared that you’re going to randomly get mad at him or something. He knows you need emotional support, but he’s not sure if you WANT it, so often times it’s just like that meme where someone is patting the other person on the shoulder with a broom.
Mafiafell Sans (Butch): I’ve mentioned it before, but this idiot barely knows what a period is. You’re going to have to explain what’s going on, or else he’s just going to think you’re mad at him or something. When he understands, he’s much more sympathetic. He won’t be scared off if you yell at him and then immediately start crying, he’ll just give you a hug and offer you some of your favorite snacks.
Mafiafell Papyrus (Noir): As far as he’s concerned, you have every right to be a bit snippy. You’re CONSTANTLY BLEEDING out of your VAGINA for 3-7 DAYS. He’d be a lot more than just sassy. He doesn’t mind the mood swings, because like I said, you’ve more than earned it in his eyes. Just don’t expect him to try and help when you’re sad, he’s terrible at being reassuring.
Mafiaswapfell Sans (Scar): Honestly, he thinks that you’re pretty badass for going through this every single month. You can be as grumpy as you want, he’s grumpy all the time, and he’s not even bleeding! Top 10 favourite characters from any fandom
I was tagged by @limalepakko , thank you! Since I have recently listed male characters here (or you know, in August, but we all know time hasn't been a thing for many moons), I took the liberty to list characters in general this time. I also went with which characters feel right at the moment, so does not show all my favourites. I also try to keep these short. (edit: okay so these are not remotely short, I will post a list first and have the explanations be under the cut, read if you want to hear my ramblings c': )
1. Fantine, Les Misérables 2. Javert / Jean Valjean, Les Misérables (yes i am cheating) 3. Carrie "Big Boo" Black, Orange Is the New Black 4. Jane Marple, Agatha Christie's Marple 5. Aunt Lydia, The Handmaid's Tale 6. Bridget Jones, Bridget Jones books & movies 7. Rock Lee, Naruto 8. Sarah O'Brien, Downton Abbey 9. Marilla Cuthbert, Anne of Green Gables / Anne with an E 10. Sister Monica Joan, Call the Midwife
*
1. Fantine, Les Misérables
I love Fantine with all my heart. I remember reading Les Mis for the first time and her story sending chills down my spine. Her character development makes me so sad, from a girl who falls hard and fast and won't deny anything from her lover, to a woman who is so beaten down by society that she can't do anything but laugh at her fate. But I love how she doesn't lose her pride or her fighting spirit and how she still has the guts to spit in Valjean's face when she sees him after being arrested. And I love how all she does is for her daughter and how despite selling "the gold on her head and the pearls in her mouth" she is content, because all that matters to her is that Cosette will live.
*
2. Javert & Jean Valjean, Les Misérables
I was really trying to limit this list to one character per fandom, but alas, I am but a weak little person. Thus, I am cheating already. The thing is that when it comes to Les Mis characters, Fantine, Javert and Valjean are the eternal top 3 for me, but I'm never quite able to say who I love the most. Last time I picked Javert for the male character meme because I love the symbolism and critique of society his character embodies, but let it be known that Jean Valjean is the best character in all of literature and I will fight you on this. The original soft on crime icon (aside from Jesus Christ but they're the same and you know it). Valjean's character journey is such a complicated one from an ordinary man (no worse than any man) to a person, who had been shaped by society and criminal justice system to be a very dangerous man, to someone you could compare to a saint if you wanted to... To an ordinary man, who would do anything for his daughter. He has so many character-defining moments, the biggest ones being in my opinion the trial of Champmathieu and letting Javert go instead of killing him. I just love Jean Valjean so much and could speak about him for hours.
*
3. Carrie "Big Boo" Black, Orange Is the New Black
Hopping away from the Les Mis hole and into a OITNB hole. I was debating on whether I'd put Boo or Pennsatucky on this list since I love them both so much, but I've been feeling so much love for my angry butch king that it had to be her. First of all, I'm just so happy to see butch lesbian representation where the butch identity is not just a joke. I know OITNB sometimes uses Boo questionably, but in general she is a nuanced character and one of the most interesting ones in the series in my opinion. I'm so sad they forgot all about her on the last seasons. I love everything about her, how she has trouble with feelings besides anger and often deflects serious stuff through humor, how fiercely protective she is of those she loves (boosatucky otp forever fucking fight me), how proud she is of her butch identity ("i refuse to be invisible")... Also, not to express attraction, but... Mama I'm in love with a criminal. And not to be a slut for how characters view religion/spirituality/God, but the relieved smile she has in one of her flashbacks when she says "there's no God... there's nothing", like you can't just do stuff like that and expect me not to love the character to bits.
*
4. Jane Marple, Agatha Christie's Marple
Last time I listed Poirot and was a bit frustrated I couldn't list Marple, but now it's time to right that wrong! I love this little old lady so much. I love Agatha Christie so much for just going "you know who is the person who knows everything that's going on in a community, and thus would make the perfect detective for a detective story? the nosy old woman". As she is introduced in The Murder at the Vicarage: "Miss Marple is a white-haired old lady with a gentle, appealing manner — Miss Weatherby is a mixture of vinegar and gush. Of the two Miss Marple is much more dangerous." She is so likable and witty, you can't help but love her. My favourite portrayal of her is by Geraldine McEwan, she looks so gentle but has such a sharp gaze. I would spill all my secrets to her any day. I also am compelled to tell you that when I was a child we had a costume party at my school and I dressed up as Marple and learned some old lady things in English (it was before third grade so I didn't know much English back then) just for the occasion (such as "thank you, my dear", "what a lovely necklace you are wearing" or "there has been a murder"). Teacher might have thought me rather morbid but I remember that day being quite good.
*
5. Aunt Lydia, The Handmaid's Tale
The Handmaid's Tale is such a great series and a book and Aunt Lydia is such a great character. The way she's capable of being absolutely cruel and vicious, but how she is also protective and caring in her own way. One of my favourite scenes in this series is when Serena Joy (my other favourite, can you tell) tells Lydia to "remove the damaged ones" from a line of handmaids and Lydia tries to argue with her. Sure, she is responsible for some of the punishments these women are now "damaged" by, but she truly believes those punishments were for a greater good and now the handmaids deserve their place with the others as much as anyone else. It is chilling and the character is such a dark shade of morally gray, but I can't get enough of it. The actress who plays her, Ann Dowd, has so interesting thoughts about her, like here. I just love this character so much I could scream.
*
6. Bridget Jones, Bridget Jones books & movies
I'm mostly talking about the movies here because Renée Zellweger's performance is iconic. Plus the movies are what made me love this character first. But I'll give it to the books, they're one of the few books I've laughed out loud while reading. Anyway, how do you even begin explaining the love I have for Bridget Jones... I love how she is a character so many people can relate but who would be a comic relief side character in some other story. Yes, yes, it is really bad that she is constantly described as fat when she really is not, but when I was growing up she gave me hope that people who are viewed as fat and/or unattractive by other people can be admired and appreciated, and they don't have to be super talented at everything and highly intelligent and some kind of a super smooth social butterfly to "make up" for what they "lack". And also that they can have standards (i once dodged a bullet by rejecting someone by pretty much subconsciously quoting Bridget Jones so..). I also love how the comedic tone of everything does not dismiss Bridget's feelings. For example in some other movie we maybe would concentrate on how "stupid" Bridget was to trust that Daniel was in love with her, but in Bridget Jones we concentrate on how Bridget was hurt by Daniel cheating on her, how he is the one who did wrong. Idk I just love Bridget Jones so very much can you tell.
*
7. Rock Lee, Naruto
Aka the boy who would have kicked Madara in the balls if Kishimoto had any sense of drama and good storytelling. I think I robbed Lee by not putting him on the fav male characters list. You know that post that goes like "gays be like 'these are my comfort characters', 1 literal ray of sunshine, 2 war criminal" etc? This child is the sunshine. I've been reading and watching Naruto again ( @hapanmaitogai is my sideblog for that nonsense) and I'm so ready to adopt Lee and/or Gai. Rock Lee is just such an earnest character, he has a goal he will give anything to achieve and he's the one true underdog in this manga. I love how he's so kind and polite (it's not so clear in English but in the Finnish translation he speaks as formally as he does in Japanese, he uses singular polite "you", calls Sakura "Sakura-neiti" = "Miss Sakura" etc... i love one polite boy). Also, he has the best fights in the series. Like Lee vs Gaara is a Classic, but we simply can't forget that time Lee absolutely crushed Sasuke in just a few minutes, or that time he politely asked Kimimaro not to kill him while he drinks his medicine. The best boy. I love that boy so much.
*
8. Sarah O'Brien, Downton Abbey
Last time it was Thomas' turn, so now I must talk about the snakiest snake, the queen of weaponized handmaidenry, Miss O'Brien. She is such a great character especially in the first two seasons (I obviously love her on season three as well but Julian Fellowes really tried to make it hard by not explaining her actions at all, didn't he. Well, luckily I am ready to stuff the gaps with my headcanons). She has some of the best comebacks in the series and brings some needed realism in some conversations. I also love how she uses her position as a lady's maid for her advantage and how she is proud of her profession despite being highly aware of the power structures in the Abbey. And then there is the soap. That is such a good character moment, because for a character who always plans ahead, who is ruthless and cunning and intelligent... I don't think O'Brien thought about the soap thing at all before she left the room ("Sarah O'Brien, this is not who you are" hit me like a train). Just once she did something with nothing but anger motivating her and that became one of the defining moments of her character. And one of the defining things of the future relationship between her and Cora. That's why I find the Sarah/Cora ship so interesting, because there will always be the undercurrent of bitter regret. Also Sarah O'Brien and Thomas Barrow are the greatest brotp and Fellowes was a coward for driving the smoking scheming gay best friends apart, and
*
9. Marilla Cuthbert, Anne of Green Gables / Anne with an E
I'm not saying L.M. Montgomery is entirely responsible for me having a fondness for strict, older women who first act unkind but have a heart of gold, but she most certainly did not help. Between characters like Marilla Cuthbert and Elizabeth Murray, how can you not fall in love with the type? It's been a while since I read the Anne series, but I really love how Marilla's character has been adapted into the Anne with an E tv series. Geraldine James looks like she was born to play her, she has me in tears so often. She has the ability to portray someone like Marilla, who is a very hard and stern person but feels deeply for her loved ones. I was watching the episode that dealt with Matthew's heart attack and Marilla berating her brother while hugging herself like she was trying so hard to hold herself together absolutely destroyed my heart.
*
10. Sister Monica Joan, Call the Midwife
It was a tough choice between her and Sister Evangelina. I just love these nuns very much. Sister Monica Joan is such a lovable and wise character. She is so knowledgeable of many subjects, from the Bible to astrology, and I feel like her unspecified memory problems and confusion are handled very tastefully. I also love how she's such an important part of her community despite not working as a midwife anymore. She is such a kind woman and gets visibly upset when others are treated poorly. And how could I not mention her saying "I do not believe in weeds. A weed is simply a flower that someone decides is in the wrong place", like... I love her so so much.
*
I won't tag anyone, but if you read this and you want to do this, consider yourself tagged and you're no allowed to mark me as the one who tagged you!
#this list was fun to make#sorry for rambling#i just really like talking about my favourite characters#do you have a minute to talk about eleven losers#or well.. like four losers?#hm. let's tag#fantine#jean valjean#javert#boo#aunt lydia#bridget jones#rock lee#sarah o'brien#miss marple#those are the ones i have character tags for but let's tag also#ctm#anne with an e#anne of green gables#phuh#many characters#much love

Nosy meme: 2, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 22, 29, 33, 47, 50. 💜
OMG thank you Brynn!! So many questions to answer :) I’m putting it under a cut bc I know it’s gonna get long...AND YES IT DID.
2) What are you obsessed with right now? Below Deck, this ridiculous Bravo show that follows a charter yacht through an 8 week season of trips. It’s dramatic and full of wealthy people like most Bravo shows, BUT it’s also following the people who staff the boat, not the guests, so it’s more relatable than Real Housewives. I just wrote a one shot ficlet about 2 of the women on one of the more recent seasons yesterday. Ridiculous.
6) Describe your dream home. I feel like I always have a slightly different answer for this. Right now: my ideal home would be pretty small, maybe 700-800 sq ft, with a single bedroom, painted a vibrant pink and accented with green and white (think climbing vines with tiny, bright white blooms) and a small alcove done in a pale blue that housed a murphy bed for guests. The kitchen would be ultra organized to optimize space (I would NOT be the one to do this) and would be equipped with an air fryer, slow cooker, instant pot, and microwave in addition to standard brand new appliances. There’s a fold down table that can seat up to 4 in the kitchen, though it’s usually just set up for me. The bathroom has a shower done with celadon green tile with a bench seat built in and glass doors. The living room is small and simple, but there’s a big comfortable grey couch and a tv. The whole house has hardwood floors, and the windows each have a bit of stained glass in them up top so the light is sometimes colored as it filters in. There’s a covered carport with a doggie bath area and a chest freezer, and in the fenced back yard there’s a hot tub and comfortable lounging furniture among all the greenery. The house doesn’t have a lawn tho, fuck that. You can’t hear sounds from the street-- it’s a quiet house. I live alone unless i want a visitor. It sounds so nice.
12) What’s one of your fantasies? Having my dream home as above, lol. But really my most typical fantasy is being able to afford a weekend away at a fancy airbnb by the ocean that allows dogs. It turns out the owner is fat butch dyke who loves dogs and we end up playing scrabble together sitting at a picnic table outside. She offers to cook me dinner; I put together a cheese plate while she grills steaks and broccoli, and we basically fall in love, turning my silly 2 day vacation into a lifetime of slow, sweet, happy love. ://////////
13) Do you have/would you get your nipples pierced? I would, maybe? But also idk bc they’re extremely sensitive already and I don’t want them to lose sensation BUT i also don’t want them to be more sensitive bc that could cause legit problems.
19) If you could change your name, would you? What would you change it to? Nah, I like my name. Though if I were going to change it I think I would just go by a variation of my first name-- Dottie.
20) What is something you’re obsessed with? Other than Below Deck? Yorkshire Gold tea. I bought it bc Louis Tomlinson drinks it and my whole life changed for the better. It’s SO FUCKING GOOD, ok? It rarely tastes bitter, even when you accidentally oversteep it, and the flavor and aroma are surprisingly complex for a simple black tea. I have been into teas since I was a teenager, and while I could never entirely give up some of my single origin black teas, Yorkshire Gold is my current (forever?) go to for a daily cuppa.
22) Tag someone you think is hot. HELP I don’t experience attraction this way anymore :p Literally idk who to tag?? WAIT @mxaether!!! Kams is super hot in all the ways, I adore them so much.
29) What’s the most overrated movie? In general anything directed or written by a white man who’s made lots of movies. I really try not to watch slogs like that anymore, but the last movie I watched that genuinely made me want to yell was The Dark Knight. Do I remember the plot? NO bc my ass was BORED BORED BORED and when I kinda thought it was about to be over NOPE! there was another hour of the movie left. Fuck that garbage. I haven’t seen it but I’m pretty sure I’d feel the same about that Snyder cut of Justice League. I read a long synopsis/breakdown of the movie (from someone who loved it!!!) and spent the whole time frowning with disgust bc it sounded like The Worst Thing I Could Ever Sit Through.
33) If money was no object, what would your wardrobe be like? For the most part, not that different? I would have an endless supply of incredibly soft, comfy leggings with bright, eye-catching colors and patterns along with stretchy, form fitting dresses that were equally loud. Soft, loafer style slippers in a variety of colors. All my under things would be high end and custom made (also colorful! no white underpants! ever!) I would also have access to ultra fancy party clothes: stretchy, body con jumpsuits with plenty of sparkle (picture: a coppery jumpsuit that fits tight through the hips and ends with a high waist, the top slit in a deep V but draping softly with a bit of volume. The back has a light, diaphanous, cape of sorts), twirly dresses, etc. Everything is INCREDIBLY comfortable and easy to move in, but glam and fun and whimsically sexy?
47) If you could marry any celebrity, who would you pick? None celebrity, left beef. :P Truthfully tho it’s Alex Guarnaschelli...she cooks for me, I serve her in any and every way she wants or needs. Would also say Lizzo but I worry that her partying days are still here and I know I wouldn’t be able to keep up.
50) What’s your favorite kind of weather? Sunny but breezy, almost cool in the shade, for midday. In the evening the temperature drops enough that you’re grateful for a sweater but not so much that you’re ever actually chilled, and around 2am there’s a light but steady rain for an hour or two that’s barely noticeable by noon the next day.
If anyone read all of these and for some reason wants to send me more, the asks are here

I’m late to the party, but whatever. After a (ehehe he) few months of thinking about it, i finally watched netflixs “She-Ra and Princesses of Power”.
- Oh. Oh... Oh wow. Just wow. All these jokes and memes about Catra and therapy makes so much sense now. Like, even TOO much. This show have no business in showing all these issues so good, and yet, there they are.
- Scorpia is such a cinnamon roll. But she’s so stressed. She tries to play it cool, but man, her stress level is on some cosmic level. I have no idea how she do not lost it and not murdered anyone. Come on big girl, i’m going to be your best friend and you can hug me as much as you want. <3
- Hey Adora.
- I hope that Shadow Weaver will not pull some betrayal shit right now and will stick with the rebellion against Horde Prime. I don’t need her to be redeemed, she don’t really deserve that and probably don’t even want that. Also, she’s on the good side out of bad motives, so that’s that. But her changing sides again would be just stupid and too predictable. It’s obvious that she will again try some shady magic to “save” the planet, while also at this same time gain more power, but i hope that will blow up in her face. Badly. Buuut. Since king Maika is alive and back at Bright Moon maybe he will have some good influence on her. Strongly doubt that, but its always a possibility.
- Bows voice acting is probably my favorite in the whole show. The comedy timing with his voice, when it’s going a little to high and cracks up? That’s The Good Stuff.
- And i don’t really like Entraptas (not Entrapa, what) voice timbre. This voice actress is very good - like every other on this show tbh - but something about her voice alone annoys me. She also often sound like her nose is stuck? Which is a nope for me.
- Hey Adora.
- Ah, Entrapta, my adorable science baby. How someone so smart can be so dumb at this same time. I know that she’s autism coded, but im not talking about that. She figured out this whole The First Ones tech, this whole connection of magic, princesses and rune stones to the WHOLE planet, but didn’t thought even for a second that maybe activating this machinery could most probably blown everything up. Really? ReaLLY? But maybe that’s just a science people thing, being sooo much into it, that nothing else matters? Idk, i’m a dumbass, i do not get science very much. But when she was like “we need to turn this portal thing off, Hordak will understand” i was like “oh no, oh honey, no, he DEFINITELY will not” and this moment was kinda hilarious. Oh well.
- And they we’re lab partners. _^_
- I don’t really know why, but i like Hordak. He’s that good kind of dumb, angry and nor very well socialized villain. Well, he lived in a place not very well suited for proper socializing. Yeah, that - he got a nice, kinda different backstory. Usually when a character is a clone their big and dark torment is the fact that they’re a clone. But he’s even proud of that? Because the original one is powerful and magnificent Horde Prime, so it’s an honor to be his clone. His problem is that he is a defective clone, unworthy, when he was made for such grande purpose like conquering the galaxy. I can’t even very much blame him for his bending for murder and destroy. Not because he’s sad, but because he was made in a lab to be like that, more or less programmed - murderous, angry and destructive. In cases of characters like that it’s not very much like an explanation, but almost an justification (but hey, that’s me, about fictional people, so chill please (: ). It’s like blaming a not self-consciousness machine for going rouge. Well, Hordak is not a stupid, unaware robot, but idk, there’s no real analogue in real world for a beings like this, so i “choose” to feel like that about fictional characters being made to be put-there-whatever. Also, he’s physically so fragile? It’s hysterical. It feels like the faintest wind would blow at him, and every bone in his body would broke.
- And what i wrote about Hordak i think also about Light Hope. Shes and AI, probably almost at point where she could obtain self-consciousness, but not quite yet there. And she did what she did because she stick to her main program, she really didn’t have a choice. But she had! This one time. Because she is capable of learning and grow beyond her program. I don’t now if younger audience is going to catch that, but i’m happy that AI was showed as it is - just an very advanced AI, and not a mean, bad person. Or maybe she is self-aware and i just didn’t noticed that. Also, her design. <3
- hEy AdOrA.
- I was so ready to like Double Trouble, and eeeh. The only magic here is acting. I do not copy, i perform. I put everYTHING into ROLE! I’m an Artist! ArTiSt! IT’S ART! asdfghjkl just go away with that you pompous prick. Uuuugh, this is just the worst kind of artists. But, i still appreciate how they do not have any sad backstory (yet?), and are there only for money, drama and spreading chaos. At least someone is having fun in all this mess.
- Adora is so gay for big ladies. When all this mess is going to end, she deserve some romantic plot with gentle butch. Give Adora some big woman to love, you cowards!
- One of Bows dad is wearing socks and sandals. That’s it.
- Swift Wind was visiting madame Razz all this time, because shes and old lady living alone in the woods. My heart just melted. <3 Also, i really want to know whats going on with her. Like, no one cares that’s shes probably more than a one whole thousands years old? But it look more like she has some time bending powers, that she do not control? And it messes with her memory and mind? Poor lady. ):
- I had this feeling deep in my guts that The First Ones are going to be revealed as stupid bitches. And hey, they turn a magical planet into a super weapon. Why these ancient civilizations are such ignorant morons?
- I know that relationships between characters are the most important thing in this show, but man, i was so much there for the worldbuilding. The more information they were giving, the more i was like “just tell me what’s going on!!!”. And wow, i’m not disappointed. A++. But tbh, if we put aside all this cute stuff like magic, princesses and shiny, magical stones, this whole shit is pretty terrifying.
- When during daring rescue of Glimmer and Bow in Fright Zone Perfuma admitted that working with Entrapta can be... kinda difficult, and Entrapta - with a smile! - just nodded in agreement. This. This is probably my favorite joke in this whole series.
- h e y a d o r a
- Seahawk. Much love. Much joy. Gold of heart, dumb of ass. Yes.
- Also Huntara. Damn, woman, can you maybe tune down your attractiveness? I’m trying to keep myself together here.
- Designs in this show are just top notch. Bon Appetit.
- I love how this world is inhabited by so many various creatures, not only humans. NICE.

all the gay questions
Thanks friend, here we go.
1. Name one way you break the wlw stereotype. (Fat, trans, poc, autistic, etc)
I don’t know if it’s really breaking a stereotype but I consider myself spiritual. I pray and I feel like when I bring that up to someone that they’re unfortunately “surprised”.
2. Who was the first girl you remember having feelings for?
She was in my fifth grade class and she had heelys. We were really good friends and I thought she was the coolest. (We both grew up and later came out as gay and she’s super happy and I’m super happy for her.)
3. What’s your opinion on the butch/femme labels? Do you think they’re harmful?
I think that labels can be harmful for some people and extremely helpful for others. I’m one of the people that feel helped by labels. Sometimes those particular labels can be annoying, but if they work for you then that’s great.
4. Do you have a girlfriend?
Yes. I have a loving fiancée that I’ve been with for a while now. She is the peanut butter to to my jelly, the sun poking through the clouds on a rainy day, the moon, the stars - all of it. Hi @remuspolaris <3
5. Define love in 5 words or less
Understanding, teamwork, friendship, illuminating, patience
6. What characteristics do you look for in a girl?
I’d always (back when I did look) wanted someone who has a really good sense of humor, understanding, similar interests and most importantly, someone I could have a friendship with. I feel strongly that your partner shouldn’t just be your boyfriend/girlfriend/partner, but your best friend, too.
7. Do you participate in LGBTQ clubs and events?
I used to participate pride. I went to pride three years in a row in my hometown and would go again once it’s safe.
8. Are you out to anyone outside of tumblr?
Pretty much everyone. A few of the co-workers I talked to at my last job didn’t outright know because I worked in a highly conservative environment.
9. Say some things you love about your crush/girlfriend?
I love her extra snuggles in the morning, I love how warm she is, I love that even when I’m feeling crazy or anxious or whatever it is that she still loves me and cares about me. I love that she cares about me as much as I care about her. I love that she doesn’t make me feel so alone in life. I love doing things with her.
10. Do you want to get married?
Yes, it’s on the gay agenda. I don’t know when it’s happening just yet, but I have an engagement ring on my finger.
11. Do you want to have kids?
Yes. I’m not ready for them yet, emotionally or financially but it’s been a dream of mine for a long time to have children. Being with someone that is good with kids/babies and wants them too makes all of that a lot more appealing.
12. How would you describe the difference between sun lesbians and moon lesbians?
Like @welshdragonrawr said, sun lesbians feel like ABBA and moon lesbians are Fleetwood Mac/Stevie.
13. What’s your favorite song about lesbians?
“She Keeps Me Warm” by Mary Lambert. The first wlw song I ever heard.
14. What’s your favorite book about lesbians?
My favorite fictional one is probably “Annie on My Mind” by Nancy Garden. It didn’t have a bad ending and at the time I read it it mirrored the kind of relationship I wanted someday.
15. Who’s your favorite lesbian character?
Since she isn’t canonically wlw or lesbian I can’t say Cordelia Goode and that hurts me, so I’m going to have to go with Alex Vause from Orange Is the New Black.
16. If you live in a country where gay marriage is legal, where were you when it was legalized? Did you do anything to celebrate?!
I was in my living room and I woke up to @mightthxnktwice happily yelling to me about it.
17. If you could meet one famous wlw (dead or alive) who would you pick?
Sarah Paulson, Sarah Paulson, Sarah Paulson.
18. Have you ever kissed a girl?
Yes.
19. Do you have any favorite wlw positivity blogs?
@wholesome-gf-memes-uwu
20. Who was your first real life crush? (as in not Dana Scully or Jessica Rabbit)
See the above answer about first crush.
21. What is one thing you think your school/ place of work could do to create a safe environment for LGBTQ people
I don’t really think they could do anything. My previous job could’ve made sure that others didn’t spread homophobic comments with others.
22. Have you ever been to a gay bar?
Yes.
23. Do you know a lot of LGBTQ people outside of the Internet
I know some, I wouldn’t say a ton - and the ones I do know I met through the internet.
24. Describe your ideal gaycation (a vacation that you, a gay, go on)
Disneyland. Just a long expected stay at Disneyland, maybe during Gay Days.
25. Not a question, I just want you to know that you’re amazing and beautiful and I love you. Keep up the good work.
Thanks friend.

Super Drags review (tl;dr Show Good)
The post where I do my best to spread the Good News, that there exists a saucy gay drag-queen magical-girl animated comedy and everyone should watch it.
Okay, not everyone -- I'll give some caveats at the end -- but definitely a heck of a lot more people than Netflix has bothered to advertise it to.
Look at this! Why did nobody tell me about this??
What is Super Drags?
Fast facts:
It's a 1-season, 5-episode adult animated comedy series, released in November 2018
Here's the official page, with a free-to-view trailer
It packs more explicit, unashamed queerness into those 5 episodes than any other cartoon I can think of
The only possible competitor would be if you took the whole 5000-episode run of Steven Universe and pared it down to a supercut of Just The Gay Parts
This in spite of being produced in Brazil, which (in my broad understanding, as a total non-authority on the subject) is more oppressively, dangerously homophobic than the US
The original is in Portuguese
There is an English dub, fabulously voiced by contestants from RuPaul's Drag Race
It's wrapped in "for adults only!" warnings, not because the content is any less child-friendly than (say) your Bojacks Horsemen or your Ricks and Mortys, but because Brazilian authorities tried to get it shut down on the grounds of this much gay being Harmful For Children
It was (heartbreakingly) not renewed for a second season
Here's a promo video, in which the main characters (Portuguese, with subtitles) play Drag Race judges for Shangela, who ends up voicing Scarlet in English.
And here's a beautiful flashy music video of the big musical number! (Also Portuguese, no subtitles, but the melody and the visuals stand on their own.)
Plot and worldbuilding stuff!
The elevator pitch is "What if Charlie's Angels, but also drag queens, with superpowers, because magical-girl transformations?"
In this universe, all LGBTQ people have magical energy. The Big Bad is an evil magical-drag-queen nemesis who tries to drain our energy for her own purposes. It's like if Ursula from The Little Mermaid was a first-season Sailor Moon villain.
...sidenote, in case you were worried, the representation isn't "cis gay men and nobody else." There's a butch lesbian in the recurring cast, a genderfluid person (in that specific word!) as a one-off love interest, and all the ensemble scenes are wonderful collages of different races, body types, and gender presentations.
Our heroes also fight non-magical everyday homophobes, who get written with scathing realism.
The moment I knew the show wasn't pulling any punches was in the first episode, where a newscaster complains about being Silenced by the Law of Political Correctness, then chirps "however, we have a special guest who is thankfully above the law!"
According to the reviews I've found from Brazilian viewers, it's also pitch-perfect when it comes to local queer culture, community dynamics, slang and speech patterns, even memes. All of which flies right over my head, so here's a post (with no-context spoilers) about one viewer's favorite details.
The handful of reaction posts on Tumblr have a dramatic split between "Brazilian viewers fiercely defending the show as culturally-accurate, uplifting, and brave in a terrifying political moment" and "American viewers complaining that the show is problematic because it's a comedy about drag queens with no perfect role models and lots of sex jokes."
As the Super Drags tell their nemesis (and this is also in the first episode): "How dare you try to turn the LGBTQXYZ community against each other? We do enough of that on our own!"
In between missions, our girls work sitcom retail jobs and deal with other everyday problems. All of which are written in amazingly nuanced and thoughtful ways for a show that also features "defeating an orgy monster with a lip-sync battle."
Detailed character stuff!
Our heroes are Color Coded For Your Convenience!
The Super Drags themselves go by "she" in-uniform, and a lot of the time when out of it. Like the Sailor Starlights, only more so. I'll roll with that.
In blue: Safira Cyan, or Ralph by day, an excitable college-age kid who's built like a football player and squees like a fangirl. (She's an anime fan in the original, and for some reason all the otaku references were replaced in the dub, but you can see them in the subtitles.)
Ralph lives with her younger sister (they play video games together!) and their dad, comes out to them mid-series, and is very shippable with another young guy who starts out reciting the homophobic beliefs he was raised with but whose heart clearly isn't in it.
Safira's weapon is a classic magical-girl wand that casts protective force-fields. Which are shaped like condoms. Because of course.
In yellow: Lemon Chiffon, aka Patrick, the oldest of the group and generally the smartest/most strategic. In most cases, the other two treat her as the de facto team leader -- unless she pushes it too far.
By day she's a single guy with thick thighs and thinning hair, who has some body-image insecurities on the dating scene. And this show has Things To Say about unrealistic beauty standards within the community...not to mention, about masc guys who look down on anyone too flaming or femme because straight people disapprove.
Lemon's weapon is a fluffy boa that can be used as a whip or a lasso, especially when there's a bondage joke to be made.
In red: Scarlet Carmesim, also Donizete, the loudest and most aggressive teammate with the most cutting insults, who refuses to suppress that attitude in an attempt to appease racists. (But will give it a shot when trying not to get fired.)
Donny still lives in her religious/homophobic mom's apartment, and I'm pretty sure it's because neither of them can afford to move out. Her rock-solid sense of fierce self-confidence is the reason it doesn't bring her down.
Scarlet's weapon is a fan that she uses to throw shade. Yeah, you knew that was coming.
The Charlie to these angels is Champagne, who runs operations from a cool magitech compound and breaks the fourth wall at the end to petition for viewers' support in getting a second season.
...we let her down, folks :(
So here's a thing. The show never draws a sharp line between "people who become drag queens because it's a way they're driven to express themselves as gay men" and "people who become drag queens because they were trans women all along." That's consistent with how South American LGBT+ culture works. (Again: best of my knowledge, not personally an authority on this, etc etc.)
Many of the characters, including Champagne, never describe themselves in ways that translate to one of our sharply-defined Anglo-USian identity categories. And I'm not going to try to impose any English labels on them here.
But I can say (in contrast to Safira, Lemon, and Scarlet), Champagne never switches out of her "drag" name/voice/presentation, not even in the most candid off-duty scenes, and still has the same bustline when naked in the tub. Make of that what you will.
You Should Watch This Show
If you have a Netflix subscription, watch Super Drags!
If you ever do a Netflix free trial month in the future, make a note to yourself to watch Super Drags!
It's one of their original productions, so there's no risk of missing your chance because the license expired. But it's absolutely not getting the promotion it deserves. Which means potentially interested viewers won't find it, which means Netflix will think there's no interest, which means they'll keep not promoting it...etc etc etc.
No idea if there's any chance of getting it un-canceled, but maybe we can at least convince them to release it on DVD.
And the sheer gutsiness it took for a group of Brazilian creators to produce this show in the first place -- that deserves to be rewarded with your attention.
In spite of various anti-discrimination laws that sound good on paper, the country has serious problems with homophobia, transphobia, and anti-LGBT violence (warning, article has a violent image which is only partly blurred).
Maybe the creators could've gotten a second season if they made this one softer, less sexually-explicit, more restrained...but honestly? I bet that wouldn't have helped.
Consider Danger & Eggs, an Amazon original cartoon. It was made in the US, thoroughly child-friendly, and restricts its LGBT+ representation to things like "characters go to a Pride celebration...where nobody ever names or describes the quality they're proud of."
And it didn't get renewed past the first season either.
(Note: it had a trans woman showrunner and a queer-heavy creative staff, so I blame all that restraint on executive meddling, not the creators themselves. The showrunner even liked the tweet of my review that complains about it.)
So there's something very satisfying about how Super Drags went all-out, balls-to-the-wall (sometimes literally), all the rep explicit and unapologetic, packing every 25-minute episode with all kinds of queer content that would be censored or muted elsewhere -- but here it's exaggerated and celebrated and just keeps coming.
(...as do jokes like that, and I'm not sorry.)
Okay, there are a few legitimate reasons to not watch this show
Some caveats.
None of these things are Objectively Bad Problems that the show itself should be shamed for...but maybe they're genuinely not your cup of tea.
It does have actual Adult Content beyond "the existence of gay people." This show loves to swing barely-clothed cartoon genitalia in your face. There is, as mentioned, an orgy monster. If that kind of humor is going to bother you too much to appreciate the rest of the show, give it a pass.
I wasn't kidding about how realistic the homophobes are. Opening of the first episode has a guy trying to murder a busload of people while shouting slurs at them. If that level of hatred on-screen is gonna crush your soul, even in a show about sparkly queens flying to the rescue with dick-shaped magical weapons, don't push yourself.
Any fiction with this much crossdressing and gender-transgressing is going to hit some trans viewers in a bad way. Because trans people are such a broad group, with so many different experiences, that Every Possible Trope Involved pushes somebody's buttons. (See also: "some trans readers complain about a storyline that turns out to be drawn from a trans writer's actual life experience".) If this show goes does gender things that turn out to be personally distressing for you...or even just distressing for this specific time in your life...don't feel obligated to keep watching.
It has aggressively-sassy queer characters making jokes and calling each other things that are affectionate in-context, but would not be okay coming from straight/cis people. If you can't wrap your head around that, go watch something else.
Other Than That, Go Watch This Show
For all its big heart, big ambitions, and big gay energy, Super Drags is tiny enough that I've binged the whole show 2 times in the past 2 weeks. Thankfully, it's highly re-watchable -- lots of fun background gags and subtle foreshadowing that you don't catch on the first round.
(Pausing one last time to appreciate that a show with elements like "the high-tech robot assistant is called D.I.L.D.O." can be subtle at all, let alone be this good at it.)
I've also paged through all the fanart on Tumblr and Deviantart, looked up the single fanfic on the AO3, and started brainstorming plans to request it in Yuletide next year. Someone, please, come join me in (the English-language side of) the itty-bitty fandom for this ridiculous, glittery, over-the-top, fabulous series.

Diary of a Junebug
Having a reel great time
It’s Fishing Tourney time! I’ve been on a lucky streak lately with doubles - which is saying a lot since I tend to lag behind on these events for some reason. Maybe it’s the good company or the decor or the nice weather. Whatever it is, I probably shouldn’t question it or else my good luck would go away.
Joining us on this fun event are the Allegris - Chris, Elaina, David, Jeremy, Danny, and Angie! Us grown ups are out here doing are own thing while the kids (okay, aside from Angie the rest aren’t really kids anymore so basically it’s the 22 and under club) have broken off into different groups.
Life in the Allegri household is basically like straight out of a sitcom. I’ve been following David’s channel this past year and his weekly family vlogs are entertaining af. From David dragging Elaina into one of his crazy schemes, Danny and Angie getting into a mess, Jeremy being pretty much done with everyone and Chris being either totally functional or a total disaster (there is no in between) - I would definitely sit down and watch several seasons of the Allegris just be themselves.
Also, a few of David’s vlogs have become memes or gone viral. One was where he challenged Elaina and Chris to make a cake without using measurements (dad vs. aunt Baking challenge) - Elaina somewhat succeeded, Chris, not so much. Another one is titled “the kids areeee fightingggggg!!!” where everyone goes stir crazy while being snowed in. And recently, “they did what?!” in which Elaina accidentally got Jeremy and Danny fired, Angie misplaced a neighbor’s dog, and Grandpa ruined Chris’s week by revealing a shocking truth.
They’re all such a mess but that’s why I love them. Chris and Elaina are peak disasters - Chris being the perfect example of head full, thoughts empty and Elaina being chaotic all the way. But in all honesty, they’re doing their best and they’re all around good people. The two bicker a lot but they’re super close and have always got each other’s backs.
It was Elaina’s idea for the family to drop by the campsite for a short vacay. We started planning this back when I came to her mom’s concert and saw the singing roses. I suggested either a gyroid event or a fishing tourney since they enjoy the great outdoors.
The main reason why Elaina wanted a get together is for her brother. With David graduating college and Jeremy and Danny graduating high school - as well as David moving out and Jeremy going abroad for college - to say that Chris is experiencing empty nest syndrome is a bit of an understatement.
Although he’s been putting on a brave face, Chris is going through a bit of a rough patch. According to Elaina, Allegri men aren’t the best at dealing with their feelings. Her dad means well but telling Chris to toughen up and don’t think too hard about stuff you can’t control isn’t the best advice to give someone who always feels like they have to keep it together. As much as Elaina loves her dad, she can’t help but be annoyed by him at times for being so out of touch - especially since he wasn’t around most of the time when they were growing up.
On top of feeling like his boys are drifting away, Chris is also buckling under the pressure of being a single parent. Even with his sister and now dad helping out, he’s still on his own. It’s not easy being a part time airline pilot and a full time dad but he does pull it off - one of the many reasons why Elaina admires her big brother. That’s why it hurts her to see that her brother has been constantly second guessing himself, worrying that he’s not there enough for the boys.
Elaina’s the opposite of her brother as she’s more vocal and open about pretty much everything. She’s also a counselor so she knows how to read people well - sometimes to the point where she pokes her head into other people’s businesses. Though she tends to get in over her head while trying to help someone, you can’t help but admire the effort. Sure she drives her family up the wall sometimes by trying to get them to talk out their problems but if she didn’t, then they wouldn’t be the loving close knit family they are right now.
In a way, she feels kinda responsible for contributing to her brother’s stress. Being the younger sibling, Elaina tends to get away with more - meaning she’s not always expected to be the bigger person. If Chris is busy taking care of his boys, his sister, and his niece, then who’s got his back? Sure, he’s got his mom he doesn’t want to worry her and as for his dad, he’s not the kind of parent you can turn to for advice.
Before, he had Melyssa, but she’s gone now. Unlike his parents and his sister, he’s not divorced so that’s another reason why he feels like he’s on his own. Even after five years, the grief of losing his wife still hurts. Although he has been dating on and off, his relationships didn’t last long as his heart still belonged to Melyssa - something his dad just doesn’t understand.
A couple weeks before, his dad tried to set him up on a date that ended disastrously and Chris later vented to Elaina that he was fed up with being fixed up. Considering that their dad went through four marriages - last one ending a couple months ago - Chris and Elaina don’t exactly trust him on anything in terms of relationships. Not that they were asking anyway but he still insists on butting his head into their business whether they like it or not.
As for Elaina, after being screwed over twice, she’s given up on the idea of finding “the one.” She married once and regretted it - toxic masculinity and a fragile ego are two big dealbreakers, both traits which defined her ex. A few years later she dated this other guy who got her pregnant with Angie and then ditched her because he didn’t want to be tied down. Although she’s been dating other people since then, Elaina can’t see herself commit to a long term relationship. And right now, she’s happily single - another thing which is hard for her dad to understand.
Aside from getting away from the old man, Elaina wanted to plan a family day so Chris and the boys can catch up on some much needed quality time together. With the boys being so busy because of graduations, moving out, college prep, etc., they could all use a break - especially Chris, who’s been spreading himself kinda thin because of all of this. It’s also good for Angie as she’s pretty bummed out that David and Jeremy won’t be around as often. At least Danny will still be home, though Chris is concerned that he doesn’t really have any future prospects in mind.
Fishing tourneys are a lot more fun with good company. Plus you catch a lot more fish as a group so that’s a nice bonus. Chris was the real MVP, not only he caught a lot of doubles, he got a bunch of rare fish too. Even David and Danny, both who aren’t big on fishing, caught some winners too. At one point Angie fished out a jar that Sherb had misplaced this morning and got a nice reward in return.
While waiting for the next round of fish to show up, I gave them a tour of the camp and from there everyone did their own thing. Jeremy and Lloid were in the garden cross breeding plants. Danny hung around for a bit before getting bored and heading off to the main campsite. David, Butch, Cheri, Kid Cat, and Audie went swimming at Lost Lure Creek. Angie, Goldie, and Cyd went picking fruit at Breezy Hollow so they can make dessert later in the day. Then there was me, Elaina, and Chris hiking around and occasionally checking in on everyone.
Aside from a slight mishap with a pitfall seed (sorry Chris!), the hike went smoothly. Elaina was right, they needed this trip. I can tell that as the day went on, everyone looked more relaxed and at ease. Also, it was nice to see Chris and Elaina kick back and not worry too much about life stuff. Sometimes you just need to step back and take a break.
While lying down in the grass, Chris suggested that we make up stories based on the shapes of the clouds - a game he and Elaina often played as kids. So we did that for a while, which was fun. He wasn’t exaggerating when he said Elaina has a wild imagination - the stories she comes up with are wildly outrageous but also make sense on a deep level, like galaxy brain level stuff.
Then it was back to Saltwater Shores for the next round of the tourney. I swear, I think Chris is a good luck charm or something because we’ve got a pretty good haul! If we keep this up tomorrow, I won’t have to use a net to catch up later on. It was also nice seeing Chris and the boys having fun together as well as Elaina and Angie catching up on some much needed mother and daughter time.
For dinner, we set up a bonfire at the campsite. Goldie led a sing along which was super fun! After hearing her and Chris sing at their mom’s concert, I couldn’t let them pass up the opportunity to show off their musical chops. Their kids are also great singers as well, which shouldn’t be too surprising considering how musical talent runs in the family. The highlight of the night was Elaina, David, and Angie performing various musical numbers. What started out as a sing along turned into an impromptu Concert Under the Stars!
Before we knew it, midnight had come and gone. Now it’s past 1 and although I’m physically tired, my mind’s still wide awake. Though now I’m starting to nod off a bit so I’d better wrap up soon as we’ve got another busy day ahead.

2018 Year in REVIEW: Part 2
Hello everybody, JoyofCrimeArt here, and it's time to wrap up Deviant-cemnber by finishing this recap. If you're just joining us I'm going over all the events that happened to the cartoon community thought the year of 2018. I'm also ranking all the new series from best to worse, and deciding which network was the quote unquote "winner" of the year. If you haven't seen part one, you can check it out here. 2018 Year in REVIEW: Part 1 But for everyone else, let's get on with the review. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So at the end of the last part, we had to deal with that whole "Thundercats CalArts" debacle. Not exactly the most "positive" stopping point. So why don't we start this part with something light? Oh hey, look, people are talking about Butch Hartman! He's always good for a laugh. What's he up too?
Oh no...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBOMlWl7fFk
So Butch Hartman, America's dad, started a Kickstarter for his own streaming service. It's called Oaxis and is suppose to be a family friendly streaming service with original programming along the lines of Netflix. Butch asked for 250,000 dollars in order to get the basic groundwork for the site up and running. That's a lot of money to ask for, so there's no way he could actually...Holy crap, he actually did it! The madman pulled it off! Now, there's a lot to unload here. Butch Hartman's streaming service initially was met with controversy due to how vague everything about it was. There were a lot of unanswered questions. We didn't know what kind of shows it would have outside of a few failed pilots that Butch had pitched to various networks in the years prior. Were there other creators had plans to affiliate themselves with the project? All of these unanswered questions lead a lot of people to think that this was all just a big scam. If I had to make a guess, I have a feeling that part of the point of the Kickstarter was to act as a proof of concept. A way to show investors that there was an interest in the service. While a quarter of a million dollars is a lot, that's still not anywhere NEAR enough to run an entire new entertainment platform. However, I wanna be devil's advocate here. Butch Hartman has some experience in this field. The Noog Network, is an app that he developed that specializes in family friendly animated and live action shorts all created by Butch Hartman himself. Not exactly the same as a streaming service, but still. And consider that Butch has ties to people in the industry, and has experiences running a business in the form of his nonprofit charity The Hartman House, MAYBE he could pull it off? Maybe? Possibly... But that's not where the controversy ends however! As footage leaked of old Butch-y boi speaking at a church event promoting Oaxis. Here he made several claims that many found to be a bit disconcerting. Such as claims that his streaming service would feature "Christian values" which is something not at all mentioned in his Kickstarter. As a Christian myself I've always thought of Christian values as things like kindness, generosity, respect. All things that aren't necessarily exclusive to Christianity. So maybe he meant like that. However, the fact that he was invited as a special guest to a church to speak about the service...It's definitely a little bit suspect. There's nothing wrong with making a streaming service aimed at Christian families, but you should at least mention it in the Kickstarter. That way people know what they're donating too. He later specified in a tweet that while the service wouldn't inherently be Christian themed, but since Butch Hartman is a devout Christian himself, that would always carry over into his work no matter what he does. It should be noted that in the same speech he list his previous shows as containing the same "Christian values" and I don't think anybody was ever converted to Christianity by T.U.F.F Puppy. I don't know. Man, between this and last years Castlevania, I love being forced to talk about my religious views in a article that's suppose to be about dumb cartoon shows. He also made a controversial claim saying that suicides are more common now of days because of peoples addition to cell phones and technology. Saying that because of these technology people not talking to their parents as much as a result. I'm not a researcher on this, so I have no idea if this is actually true. I could definitely see that could at least be partially true with things like cyber bulling and the lack of communication with parents COULD possibly be a factor in the increases of suicides. But it defiantly feels like a disservice to just ignore issues like mental health being a factor. I can defiantly see how people could of taken offense. All of this backlash lead to everyone's favorite 2018 game! "Attack people online until they apologize!" Cause as we all know, nothing makes an apology more sincere than when it's forced out of them by an angry mob! But eventually all the heat died down when all the "Butch Hartman Rant" videos stopped getting views, I mean, when there was nothing left to talk about. Overall, I think that the situation was just bad on all fronts. Butch should of said something to explain himself, and not be so vague in his goals. But also, we live in a day and age where I honestly wonder if that would of been the smartest move. It feels like once people have their opinion set, there's no going back. I mean how often to celebrity apologizes even work? Still though, smart or not, it would of been the right thing to do. However, I would like to point out that all of this hate started simply because he reached his goal. All the stuff about the church and his suicide comments all came after he was already getting hate for being a scam artist. But the thing is, we don't even know if he is a scam artist or not. Sure, the fact that he's barely talked about Oaxis at all since the Kickstarter was funded doesn't bode well. But from what I could fine, he's given out most of the rewards he promised. And on the Kickstarter page he says the site wasn't expected to launch until mid 2020. Do I think Butch will be able to pull this off? Probably not...but I hope he does. I want Oaxis to be a thing, cause I am interested in some of the shows he's talked about putting on there, like Elf Detective. And if you hate Butch and hope for Oaxis to fail, that's your prerogative. But if you are hoping for it to fail, than you're hoping that nearly thirteen hundred people got scammed out of their money. Just saying. Ugh! I'm sick of this drama. I want more uplifting Kickstarter news! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rMCkNgHa3c
Homestar Runner was one of the first big web series that existed B.Y. Before Youtube. The series has been running off and on for about nineteen years now. And the creators, The Brother Chaps, decided to make a Kickstarter campaign to make a tabletop board game based on one of there series most popular characters. Trogdor, the Burniator. A poorly drawn dragon with an affinity for burning down cottages. The Kickstarter was set up for a goal seventy thousand dollars. Which feels like a lot for a board game, but hey, what do I know. While Homestar still has a very loyal fanbase, the series defiantly is nowhere near as popular as it was in the early to mid two thousands. And seventy thousand is a pretty hefty goal? Would a board game based on an outdated internet meme from 2004 really be able to make that kind of money? It reached it's goal in less than a day. And by the end they ended up making over one point four million dollars! I don't know what exactly The Brothers Chaps are going to do with all that money, but it's nice to know that the Homestar fanbase is still alive and well after all that time. And it's also nice to just see a Kickstarter that reached it's goal, delivered everything it promised, and didn't get into any major controversies. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyway, back to controversy. Cyma Zarghami, president of Nickelodeon since 2006, resigned. And people hate her because of some...controversy. Something about unions I think? Yeah, I didn't bother looking into this one. Between the Thundercats Roar drama and Butch Hartman stuff, I just couldn't go through all of this again. Sometimes ignorance is bliss, so I'm perfectly happy to be the ostrich with it's head in the sand on this one! However, like I said last time, it'll be very interesting to see what happens to Nickelodeon in the next couple of years. Without Butch Hartman, Dan Schneider, and now Cyma Zarghami I feel like Nickelodeon five years from now could be something completely unrecognizable from what it is today. And hopefully it'll be in a good way. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But hey, this year wasn't all drama though. I mean look at all the new shows we got. Like Pinky Malinky.
DELAYED! Okay, well at least we finally have Young Justice season three...
DELAYED! The new Harley Quinn Cartoon...
DELAYED! FXX's Deadpool?
CANCELED! TBS's Close Enough from Regular Show creator JG Quintel?
WHO THE FU*K EVEN KNOWS AT THIS POINT? Seriously, what's with this year? It's like everything has been delayed! What the heck? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nickelodeon announced that they're making a reboot for the Rugrats. And just...why? Money- Yes, I know it's money! But it's a show about babies! When you make a reboot of something, the entire point is to update it. But when your show is about babies, how are you suppose to do that? Babies today are still doing the same things that babies did back in 1991. And with the first show having one hundred seventy two half hour episodes. What stories are left to tell? Then again, anything can be good. That Muppet Babies reboot (Which I didn't watch and isn't on this list) seems to be pretty well received. So maybe it could work. I don't know. I've never seen to much Rugrats growing up, so it's hard for me to get excited for this. But I'm sure someone will enjoy it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So Netflix decided to drop all of their new series all at the end of the year. Their first one is Matt Groening's Disenchantment.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gp_RnJcb8Ig
The series follows Bean, the princess of the magical kingdom of Dreamland. She's a bitter snarky alcoholic, cause AGAIN, NEVER SEEN THAT CHARACTER DONE BEFORE! The series follows her, as well as her personal demon Luci and her elf companion Elfo through various misadventures. Think what Futurama did with Sci-fi but with a fantasy setting and you have this show. Only...Comedy Centeral era Futurama. I didn't really enjoy the first seven or so episodes of this show that much. The show wasn't bad per say, but it wasn't really anything great either. This show is aimed slightly more towards adults than Matt Groening's previous works, having a TV-14 rating instead of a TV-PG. The humor is a bit darker and edgier, and it lead to this very mean spirited feel over the entire show. The cast aren't particularly likable, and Dreamland just isn't a fun setting to be around. One thing I did like however was the fact that the show had an on going continuity and changing status quo. This is refreshing considering that Matt Groenings other shows (mainly The Simpsons) are famous for almost always returning to their status quo. But here's the weird thing, starting with episode 8, the show suddenly has this MASSIVE spike in quality out of nowhere as all the plot points that have been building over the course of the season all start to pay off. The characters all become a lot more likable. The stakes are raised. Like, it's weird how different these last three episodes are. I'd go into more detail, but unfortunately I can't due to spoilers, but trust me, the show gets better. It's not "classic Simpsons" or "classic Futurama" good, but still. It's not THAT far off. This sudden spike in quality makes it hard for me to decide how to rate this show. But since most of the run is pretty sub par, I kinda just have to average it out. Unfortunately due to the continuity you can't just skip till the end. It all really depends how patient you are. But even the bad stuff isn't awful or anything. It's just kinda bland. The show was picked up for a second season and I am looking forward to seeing where this show will go. I think that season two could be something great, but just talking about season one, it's...okay. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey, it feels like it's been a while since we had a controversy.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZSOGZFfSDk
It seems recently there are so many streaming services out there creating there own original series, it's hard to keep track. You got Netflix, Hulu, DC Universe, Soon they'll be Disney+...Oaxis- So it only made since for a site like Cruchyroll to start making they're own exclusive content. You'd think they would just hire some anime studio to make originals for them like Netflix does. But no, they decided to go with a more American styled series. High Guardian Spice. The trailer doesn't reveal much about the show, but plot wise it sounds eerily similar similar to RWBY. About a group of girls all named after different spices going to school to become "Guardians." Whatever that means. There were a lot of reason people were upset. From it be a more Americanized looking series. To the fact that Cruchyroll's (from what I hear) site having some interface problems that some people would rather have them devoting the money on fixing. But the main reason people were upset was because of the series trailer spent more time talking about the diversity of the crew and characters than they did the show plot. Outrage was also sparked from the fact that they use the fact that they have an all female writers room as a sign of there "diversity." Even though having a writers room were everyone is the same gender isn't actually diverse. I have no problem with diversity in my stories. But the fact that they chose to focus on it as a highlight when they talked so little about the story of the characters is what has me worried. It makes me worried that the crew aren't confident enough in the series premise and characters to carry the series on it's own. It's better to make a story that's good first, and diverse second as oppose to the other way around. When you do it the other way, you end up with Ghostbusters 2016. I think. I never saw it, but I hear it's "okay" at BEST. People don't like things shoved down there throats, even if it's something they agree with. Most people support diversity. But when you tell them that they HAVE to support it, that's what makes people start to hate it. Humans are very spiteful creatures in that regard. However, despite all of that, I'm still kinda excited for this show. I LOVE the art style. And you all know by now that I love me a good girly cartoon. And many other shows that boast about their diversity (Like Steven Universe and She Ra, which I'll get to in little bit) still manage to be good. It can be distracting when you see a cartoon and know what ideals the creators are trying to push. I get it. But sometimes you just have to take the death of the author approach, and just see the show for what it is on it's own. You might be surprised by what you can enjoy. We'll have to wait to see how this show pans out. But if they're able to include some Mike Toole, I'm sold.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It seems like every year we have one BIG cartoon finale. 2016 had Gravity Falls. 2017 had Regular Show. And now after eight long years, it's time for Adventure Times Grand Finn-ale. ...I'm not sorry. Adventure Time ended with an hour long episode "Come Along with Me." I'll try to not spoil the special TOO much for those who haven't seen it, but if you want to go in completely blind I suggest skipping down to the next segment cause this is your SPOILER WARNING. The special revolves around the Gum War between Princess Bubblegum and her Uncle Gumbald. A plot that had been slowly growing all season. On top of that, Betty and Normal Man are trying to find a way to turn Ice King back into Simon. The things I do like about the finale is just the sheer number of callbacks that were made. While I think a few did go over my head, as there are a few episodes of Adventure Time I've never gotten around to seeing, it's nice to see so many returning concepts and characters. I'm glad they included things from the entire series run, instead of just the "classic" episodes that most people would recognizes. It rewards fans who stuck around for the long haul. It was also nice seeing most of the series lingering plot points wrap up. And we finally got to see the kiss that we've all been waiting years for. And kudos to CN for allowing them to do it. It was very brave of them. I am of course talking about LSP and Lemongrab, baby! Wooh!
There's also the ending. Which is just a montage set to the end credits song showing where all the characters end up after the series. I love endings like this so damn much, and while it didn't hit me as hard as Regular Show's finales montage, it still hits the feels.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIkS8eGCKOU
The special does have it's flaws though. The Gum War really felt like an anti-climax and the shift to GOLB felt very out of left field. Also the fate of Uncle Gumbald left a very bad taste in my mouth. It kinda felt like they went against the whole point they tried to make. I admit that I didn't enjoy this finale as much as I did the Gravity Falls or Regular Show finales, but it's still sad seeing Adventure Time go. It defined cartoons of the 2010's. And I don't think they'res been a show since that's been quite like it. Even though the later seasons weren't as good, Adventure Time will always have a special place in my heart. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Netflix continues to pump out series after series with another new series, Dragon Prince.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWEtCsi3Eo8
Dragon Prince is a series set in a fantasy world in the midst of war. On one side is the humans, and on the other side the Elves and Dragons. The series follows two human princes, Callum and Ezran as well as a elf assassin named Rayla, as they go on a quest that will hopefully bring peace to there world. The series features a lot of crew and voice actors who previously worked on Avatar: The Last Airbender. And it shows. I mean both shows follow a group of kids traveling through a fantasy world in the middle of a war. The seasons are called books, and each book based on a different element of the magic system. I was worried this show would falls end up being just a carbon copy of Avatar. But luckily, the show does manage to have it's own feel despite having a lot of stimulates. The animation is a bit of a mixed bag. It's cel shaded CGI, similar to RWBY. But despite the series being made by a company much bigger than Rooster Teeth, the animation is so much more lag-y. Something about the frame rate seems off at times. Also I noticed background characters being copied and recolored a few times in my watch. But none of this took me to much out of the experience. The characters and writing are all really good for the most part. One of the best parts of Avatar was how it showed that both sides of the war had normal people. And Dragon Prince takes this element and brings it one step further. Neither side of the war are depicted as wholly right or wholly wrong, with both sides committing terrible acts. That's a lot of complexity for a show that's aimed at children. However, there is a villain who, while I won't reveal who he/she is, feels very cartoonishly evil for this otherwise complex world. Like, you could make this character complex very easily. A lot of the villains goals and reasoning makes sense, and are even justifiable. But the methods used are just the most mustache twirling ways of achieving these goals, even when there are less evil ways of accomplishing the same thing. It's weirdly out of place. However, despite the flaws, Dragon Prince is a really good show that manages to feel similar to Avatar while still being it's own thing. I highly recommend you check it out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Speaking of Avatar, Netflix is making one! Particularly a live action reboot. And just...Why? Money- Yes, I know it's money! But everybody already love the original Avatar! What is there to change? What needs to be updated? And what can be done in live action that can't be done in animation. It feels like all these live action remakes only exist in order to "legitimize" their animated counterparts. Cause God forbid something animated be watched by adults. I dunno. There's a very good chance this could be good, but I doubt it'll be better than the original series. I have no interest in this. Netflix, you have Dragon Prince! You don't need this! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But Netflix isn't done yet! Cause we also have Hilda! Based on the series of graphic novels of the same name.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCojP2Ubuto
Hilda follows...Hilda. A young adventurous girl who spent her whole life living in a magical forest with her Mom. That is until one day her Mom decides to move to the city of Trolberg. Now Hilda has to learn to adapt to her new surroundings in the city, learn to make friends with normal humans, and deal with magical creatures. Cause despite the fact that Trolberg has a wall designed to keep magical creatures out, the city really sucks at doing so. This shows really cute! The art style reminds me of a cross between Steven Universe and The Loud House. But with any series involving kids interacting with magical creatures the comparisons are going to be brought up. Is Hilda the next Over The Gravity Garden Falls? Seriously, ever video on Youtube about Hilda brings up this comparison. And really, outside of the premise of "adventurous child exploring magical forest" Hilda isn't really like either of those shows. Hilda is a lot lighter in tone than those two series. The monsters aren't as scary and the humor is a lot less snarky. There aren't really that many "jokes" in Hilda as the series relies more on overall pleasantness. Also there isn't any real overarching mystery element in Hilda. It's more slice of life. Why can't Hilda just be the next...Hilda? It's a quaint show. From the animation, to the tone, to the voice acting, it all just feels so cozy. I also love the creativity with all the different creatures they come up with. It's has a unique charm to it, and it's fun seeing a world where everyone just knows magic exist and society has integrated with it. If I had to point out a few flaws, I'd say that the subplot they have with Hilda's best friend Frieda wasn't very good. I really have no idea what they were going for with that. And the show can be a bit repetitive at times, but that might just be because I had to binge it in order to finish it in time for this review. But overall this is a really nice show. Check it out if you can. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OK KO is well known for it's crossovers from Captain Planet to Mighty Magiswords. But this year, they created the ultimate crossover. And if we could just appreciate the dedication to the past that the crew for OK KO clearly had when making this crossover? You all know what I'm talking about right? OK KO meet Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School Baby! That's right, the crossover that we've all been waiting for.
... AND THEY SAID AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR WAS THE MOST AMBITIOUS CROSSOVER OF ALL TIME! They were even allowed to use the original Hannah-Barbara model sheets. This is notable as I think it's the first time OK KO has ever actually used a model sheet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey, everybody loves Fallout 76, right? While we all agree the game is a flawless masterpiece, I just wish there was a way to somehow make it even better. Like, what if we got the twitch streamer Ninja, The rapper Logic, and RICK AND MORTY to all live stream the game together? Now THAT would be a lot of IQ....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMZhhTOF4l8
... aNd ThEy SaId ThAt AvEnGeRs: InFiItY wAr WaS tHe MoSt AmBiTiOuS cRoSsOvEr oF AlL tImE!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I swear, Netflix won't be satisfied until they make at least one thousand original animated series a year. Here's She-Ra and the Princess of Power. Not to be confused with She-Ra: Princess of Power. That's the 80's show. Good job naming your show there, Netflix!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuFQxsRzUws
This is the cheesiest theme song ever, I love it so much! Now, from what I understand, a lot of OG She-Ra fans don't like this reboot because it changed so much from the original. However, as someone who knows next to nothing about She-Ra or He-Man, I'm can't really comment on any inaccuracies. So I'm going to have to judge it as it's own thing. She-Ra follows Adora, a child solider serving as force captain in The Horde army. But one day, after finding a magical sword in the forest, she gains the ability to transform into the Hero, She-Ra. Not long after that she finds out that, shock of all shock, the army that's literally called THE HORDE are actually the bad guys. so she defects from the Horde, and joins the Rebellion with her new friends Bow and Glimmer. Now Adora, along with a growing army of magical princesses, must find a way to fight back against the Horde. Meanwhile The Horde, specifically Adora adopted sister/possible...lover Catra try to bring her back to her "home." I like this show. It's not amazing or anything. But it's a fun, girly action series. That's something I like about Netflix, it's one of the only channels out there that's not afraid to do action series. While the characters aren't that complex, they're fun and all have good chemistry together. Everybody feels like a real person. And this applies to both the Rebellion and the Horde. The show does a good job of juggling a lot of characters, while still keeping focus on the main cast. AND YOU WANNA TALK SAD, LONELY LESBIANS! THIS WHOLE SHOW IS A SAD LONELY LESBIAN! Though did anyone else find it a bit strange that Adora's relationship with Catra seemingly bounces back and forth between "sister" and "lover." Like, I don't care which way you go with, but you really need to pick one or the other... I know a lot of people are annoyed by the fact that a lot of classic designs and characters were changed to make the show more diverse. I didn't mind this to much. Adaptations change race, sexuality, and body types all the time. And I can only think of one time where it ever felt distracting, and even then it was brief. I never found it to bothersome. Downsides though, the tone is kinda wonky at times. Nothing to noticeable, but sometimes it seems like the show is trying to be a serious action adventure, while other times it feels like it's trying to be campy like the 80's series. There's an episode called "Princess Prom" and it's one of the turning points in the season. Like, how am I suppose to take this seriously. But luckily it never gets that bad. I think the show is somewhat aware of a wink and nod nature to the show. It's a fun series. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And unfortunately, we have to end the year on a downer note. As Stephen Hillenburg, creator of Spongebob, passed away at the age of 57 from ALS. I don't know what to say. I hate taking an entire human beings life and acting like there art is all that mattered. But as I don't know the man personally, I'll just say that he created one of the most well know fictional characters of all time. Spongebob is the first thing most people think of when you say Nickelodeon. And it's one of the few characters that I think will be remembered even a hundred years in the future, along the likes of Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, and Popeye. Even in death, his legacy will live on. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And with that, we end 2018 year in review! It's been a hell of a wild ride! But how does the year rank overall? First, we'll start with my old favorite. Ranking the series in a way that'll end up regretting in a month! Keep in mind this is a rough list. List aren't really my specially, and each show offers and is going for it's own unique thing. So sometimes it's hard to compare them. Also these rankings could change in the following year as new episodes come out. But if I had to rank them... 9. Apple and Onion 8. Craig of the Creek 7. Final Space 6. Disenchantment 5. Nomad of Nowhere 4. She Ra and The Princess of Power 3. Ballmastrz 9006 2. Hilda 1. Dragon Prince And keep in mind that, due to both a lack of time and lack of cable, there were a lot of shows I wasn't able to check out or just wasn't interested in discussing. Like these! (Big City Greens, Harvey Street Kids, Mega Man: Fully Charged, Muppet Babies, Our Cartoon President (HAHA! Trump jokes! Never seen those before!), Paradise PD (Cause we definitely need another show from the makers of Brickleberry!), Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Wars Resistance, Summer Camp Island, Super Drags, The Adventures of Kid Danger, The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, The Hollow, The Shivering Truth, Total Dramarama) As for the grade, it's a bit tricky. If I had to go just by the shows, I'd give it a B. They're weren't many shows I LOVED but they're weren't many shows I outright hated. Most shows this year were "good." But if we decide to count all the drama, that would drag the year all the way down to a C. There was just so much drama that, along with a few other personal reasons, I found myself kinda falling out of the animation community as a whole this year. And when the drama actually starts making you wonder why you entered this community in the first place, that's not a good thing. So take that for what you will. As for best network, I once again have to give it to Netflix. I know it's kinda unfair since I didn't watch any Nickelodeon or Disney shows this year. But with so many more shows and channels watching a show from each is getting harder and harder. And Netflix is just pumping out series after series. And most of them are pretty good. It feels like the people at Netflix are really given free range to do whatever they want over there. And we get some really unique series as a result. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2018 may not have been the best year for animation, but I really think that 2019 is going to be a really good year. I mean just with what's already been announced we've got so many good series to look forward to! There's Infinity Train, Owl House, Amphibia, Los Casagrandes, Victor and Valentino, Gen: Lock, Harley Quinn, Young Justice Season Three, Theoretically Close Enough! Plus a lot more! Seriously, next year I'm either going to have to cut out a lot of anticipated series or make this a three part-er. Which would you prefer? And what did you think of 2018 for animation? What series were the best, and which were the worst? Leave any thoughts in the comments down bellow, I'd love to hear em. Fav, Follow, and comment if you like the review. And have a great new year. And let's all hope that 2019 can have a little less drama. Um, isn't Thundercats Roar and High Guardian Spice coming out next year too? 2019 is going to be the biggest dumper fire ye- Have a great day. Phinal Round, 3rd Place Match: @lexosaurus vs. @planetgalactica
In the middle of the ring, rather than two phighters like Danny was was used to, Ember stood on a stage that had been temporarily set up. Normally that would have been enough to make Danny nervous, but he was pretty sure that Ember couldn’t draw strength from the cheering of ghosts. If she could, she wouldn’t have any reason to come to the human world.
Even if he was worried about Ember, for once she wasn’t the center of attention. Not the only one, anyway.
“Dude… are those ghosts dressed up like Shrek?” Tucker asked. Danny nodded mutely. He was pretty sure that was Ghostgothgeek was the larger one leading them at the front, but it was impossible to tell for sure.
“Just when I thought things couldn’t get aaaaany weirder.” Sam shook her head, but Danny could see the laughter in her eyes.
Down below, Ember’s introductory guitar rift shifted to a more familiar tune. Then she began to sing, but not quite the words Danny expected.
Some-BODY once told me
This ghost zone’s really lonely
I’ve got nowhere to order an Egg
Well they were feeling kind of glum
Til this Phight got up and run
At a Denny’s where everyone is dead
The Shrek-ghosts kept dancing as Ember sung to the tune of “All Star.” Danny didn’t recognize all their moves, but several of them were flossing and dabbing for all they were worth. One fell over, too off-balance from doing the sprinkler to stand.
Well, the Phights start comin’ and they don’t stop comin’
Fed up with rules, yeah they hit the ground postin’
Never made sense not to Phight for fun
We yeeted Butch ‘cause we’re not that dumb
So much to do, so much to meme
So what’s wrong with eating at Denny’s?
You’ll never know if you don’t go
Now time to get on with the show —
Hey now, you’re a Phighter, get your dab on, go yeet
Hey now, see you losers, time to get rekt, get beat
And all the ghosts they will cheer,
You’re gonna be the winner at least this year!
The crowd exploded with applause as Ember pumped her fist in the air.
“Thank you, Denny’s! You’ve been a great crowd!”
“I LOVE YOU, EMBER!” Klemper shouted from the top of the bleachers, and Ember grimaced.
“Still not being your friend, Klemper!”
“Awww…”
Tali finally took up her mic as Ember and the Shreks exited the stage. The cleanup crew began disassembling the stage in the meantime.
“Everyone give it up for Ember!” She said, as if everyone hadn’t just been cheering for her.
“YEAH, EMBER!” Tucker shouted. Sam and Danny gave him a look. “What? She’s still good!”
Sam rolled her eyes. Tali ignored them and kept going.
“Ember will be signing pancakes in the lobby after the Phight for all of her fans. But now it’s time for the main event! Give it up for our third place contenders: Lexosaurus and Planetgalactica!”
The ghosts carrying the pieces of the stage had to flee out of the way as a conglomerate of fidget spinners flew into the ring.
“What the—?” Danny started. “Oh man. That’s Lexx, isn’t it?”
Tali nodded. “She requested 360 fidget spinners to fight with.”
“Where do you even get that many?” Tucker asked before Sam could slap her hand over his mouth.
“Please don’t answer that. Tucker can’t be trusted with that kind of power.”
“Hey!” He objected, though it was muffled through her hand.
“Where’s Planetgalactica then?” Danny asked.
She wandered out into the ring a few moments later, holding a Ghostbucks cup and rubbing her eyes blearily.
“When did the ghost zone even get a Starbucks?” Danny wondered. Did it serve better coffee than the Denny’s?
“Alright, square up and get ready to… PHIGHT!” Tali announced.
Lexx seemed to take the “square up” comment literally; her hovering fidget spinners reconfigured into a cube that shielded her on all four sides.
“HEY! I AM THE BOX GHOST! NO OTHER GHOST MAY USE MY SQUARE SHAPE OF DOOOOM!”
Danny laughed at the Box Ghost’s outburst. Everyone else more or less ignored him as Planetgalactica lifted her pillow in a fighting stance.
“I’m not afraid of you,” she said to the mass of fidget spinners, though her voice didn’t sound so certain.
“Huh,” Lexx’s voice filtered out, distorted by the interference of the spinners. “Interesting.”
Then she surged forward, directly into the pillow Planetgalactica used to block. Fidget spinners and pillow feathers went flying, but when the debris settled, both phighters were still standing.
“YEAH! YOU GO PLANETGALACTICA!” Tucker cheered.
“You’re only rooting for her because she wore that Sailor Moon costume earlier.” Sam crossed her arms.
“That, and because she’s the only one out of those two who doesn’t look like a monster from another dimension.”
Danny winced, a sudden headache and urge to punch someone coming on. “Please don’t say those words.”
Sam frowned in confusion. “What? Sailor Moon?”
“Monster from another dimension?”
Danny nodded, wincing again. “Second one.”
Sam and Tucker shared a look, then shrugged.
Meanwhile in the ring, both phighters were scrambling for whatever weapons they could find. Lexx still had a handful of fidget spinners; Planetgalactica was scooping more off the ground and hurling them at her. Once she realized that wasn’t working, she hurled her coffee.
“Haha, nice,” Lexx laughed as the hot liquid burned her arm. “I knew you’d put up a good fight! I’ve still got one trick left up my sleeve, though.”
From her sleeve she pulled her traditional and most powerful weapon: the Danno on a stick. Planetgalactica’s eyes darted back and forth in search of any kind of defense, before she suddenly turned invisible.
“Whoa! I didn’t know I could do that!”
“Huh. Me either.” Lexx shrugged but didn’t look too worried. “Danno on a stick, fly swift and sure, that shitposts live, and memes endure!”
With that incantation and a gutteral “YEET!”, she hurled the Danno on a stick in the last direction she’d seen Planetgalactica. The stick began to glow and shifted course midair, spinning until it struck something with a loud THUD. Planetgalactica flickered back into visibility, now lying on the concrete.
“Nice time… for a nap…” she muttered before falling unconscious.
Tali blew her kazoo, though it could hardly be heard over the roar of the crowd.
“Planetgalactica is unable to battle! Lexosaurus wins Third Place in the Phandom Phight Club 2019!”
#mod tali#writeup#results#round 6#final round#lexosaurus#planetgalactica#sorry for the length on this one#id put it under a cut but i thought people might want to see who won more easily
