I'm this 👌 close to making memes and comparatives about le rouge et le noir (both book and l'opéra rock and a very great soviet adaptation)
#I swear it's the most obvious yet random hyperfixation I could get.#obvious because I literally had it in my required lit list for uni (+ my mother was a theater actress)#random because I literally got a song from the rock opera adaptation on shuffle#dammit... julien and louise... somehow they fit all the criteria of those complex dynamics I love#AND THEY'RE SO FUCKING DUMB IT'S LETHAL I LOVE THEM SO MUCH-#not to mention that their first meeting is literally louise mistaking julien for a very pretty lady#and it's pretty much that meme 'I thought you were a butch.
