Ëâ⧠ŕ¨ŕ§ đ Venus through the signs pt. 11 đ ŕ¨ŕ§ â§âË â
â˝ď˝Ąâ Thank you guys sm for the support on the first one, here is part 2! Also thank you guys sm for almost 600 followers?? Thatâs crazy! As always, take what resonates and leave the rest! xo
â˝ď˝Ąâ Libra Venus- Often thought of as superficial but this nothing more than a generalisation. Charming and full of social graces, this venus knows how to make people feel loved. Detached enough to not feel the sting of love too deeply but also extremely committed and willing to completely merge lives, that is the somewhat dual nature of Libra. Just donât ask them to plan the wedding because no decisions are getting made! They are happy to let you take the lead in love and if they trust you they are easygoing and see the good side of every one they meet. You can always count on a Libra Venus to make you feel special and cared about. Theyâre infinitely sweet and calming to be around.
â˝ď˝Ąâ Scorpio Venus- You belong to me. Passion is the game here. Scorpio Venus does not want partners who are only in it for a fling. They want to merge souls. I know itâs a cliche but they want depth and unwavering commitment. Sometimes it can border on control and jealousy if they arenât careful. They are incredibly discrete lovers and will never cause a public scene or be one for PDA but they are extremely intense and passionate. If you are looking for somebody who can see into your soul and explore your inner depths with you, look no further. Theyâre super observant too, and will likely go above and beyond to please and win the affections of the one that has their heart because truly once youâve captivated them, youâre not going to shrug them off all that easily.
â˝ď˝Ąâ Sagittarius Venus- A love that acts as a safe landing and allows them to explore is what they desire. This does not mean that theyâre disloyal, simply that they are in love with all of the journeys and opportunities that life has to offer them. They wonât be comfortable with a partner who wants to clip their wings and offer them nothing except routine and practicality. The ideal partner for a sag Venus is someone who wants to grow with them and inspire them on their various life paths. They want to be with someone interesting, fun and idealistic like them. The issue here may be their reluctance to discuss anything tangible and permanent. They can be rather slippery and hard to pin down, and they will be the first to run away when things get too real! All in all though theyâre incredibly upbeat and exciting lovers and they can seriously broaden your horizons.
â˝ď˝Ąâ Capricorn Venus- This Venus has a certain sweetness to it. Maybe they donât get carried away with romantic fantasies or delusions (at least not outwardly) but they would do anything for their loved ones. They offer such a stable, practical love that is hard to not appreciate. They might know exactly what it is you need and get it for you without so much as a fuss. They also arenât scared of playing the long game as they know what they want and know that good things take time. That is what makes Capricorn Venus so romantic, their dedication and their quiet love. Their thoughtful gestures will make you glow warm inside. Once this Venus has decided what they want there is no match to their loyalty and commitment.
â˝ď˝Ąâ Aquarius Venus- This venus is not a romantic in the traditional sense. Out of all the Venus signs this is the one that is most likely to be uninterested in monogamy. They may have many friends and are extremely kind and supportive towards the people in their life. However, their one true love is their restless pursuit of knowledge and change. This may just prevent them from wanting to be tied down by the shackles of a relationship. Should they decide they are interested in commitment though, it will be with someone who can respect their lofty goals and idealistic visions. Love wonât be at the forefront of their agenda and they will need somebody who can understand that. Love is something that is uplifting to them but not life changing, they know that love and romance wonât save them. They can be very inspiring and interesting partners.
â˝ď˝Ąâ Pisces Venus- oh sweet Pisces Venus. Thereâs a reason that this Venus is exalted. Extremely artistic and caring, they pour all of their emotions into love. There are no boundaries or restrictions here, they will give their all in relationships. Their ability to romanticise their partners might rival even cancer Venus. Unfortunately for them though they might get taken advantage of by those that want to corrupt their innocence and purity. Theyâre not all naive though, they just want to make the best out of what life has handed them and that is an admirable thing. They just have to be careful not to linger around too long when things are sour because they are chasing a dream. They are insanely sweet people though and this is shown through in all of their close relationships.

I may just be insane about this but does this feel like foreshadowing to anyone else. In this scene we see her trying to replicate the skill of someone else (her mother) and failing to achieve the same results that they would. That feels really specific and it's driving me insane.
Like, we see this come back again in the aftermath of the trial. Diana has repeatedly voiced her admiration for Wolfgang's ability to speak and inspire those around him in the darkest of times, saying she wished she could do the same. We see her pour her heart out and give her own speech to inspire the others-- except the reaction that she receives is cold and miserable, far from the newly kindled warmth and hope Wolfgang was able to create every time.
Diana is a chameleon. Her whole thing is to reflect, to replicate and to adapt. Do you think that this small scene where she tries to make a butterfly out of her hairclips-- a butterfly, an animal associated with transformation and change-- and the end result looking nothing like what she wanted it to be is a metaphor for her future character arc? She has declared that she wants to follow in Wolfgang's footsteps, wants to become something new, but do you think that by the end she ends up being the furthest thing from him? Do you think that by the end she will be left distorted, fundamentally wrong? Do you think that if she could see what she will become in the future, the only emotion that she can muster is horror as she gazes at a stranger that's supposed to be herself? That by the end, she won't be able to recognise herself, because there's no "her" left anymore?
#project eden's garden#p:eg#p:eg spoilers#diana venicia#wolfgang akire#it makes me think of her in the imitation artwork#the way she is more normalâ than everyone else. that she's smiley and friendly and colourful but her eyes are completely vacant. glassy#everyone else's ranges from horrifying to morbidly cryptic to depressing yet they all feel infinitely more ârealâ than she does#they say the eyes are the window to the soul yet hers are mirrors that only reflect the people in her sight#and in one you can see her face. expression hardened and determined with purple eyes similar to wolfgang.#and then the one where you see diana look at her imitation self covering her mouth in horror at what she sees when she looks into its eyes#and it's so unbelievably similar to when she watched wolfgang get electrocuted to death#and it feels to me like it's emphasising how his death will be her spiral into losing herself entirely failing to be like him#which makes sense. because she has an idealised image of who wolfgang was#wolfgang was someone who was also scared. who also struggled. who had his own insecurities and fears and secrets#wolfgang had parts about himself he hated and tried to be a better person than he thought he was presently#and he has an idealised image of his own mum. dedicated his life to be like HER#she chases after an idealised picture modelled after another idealised picture unaware that the standard she's pursuing never existed#diana corruption arc i can feel it#i can see her character going downhill mentally from here and honestly i'd love that but i would be upset cuz she deserves better#but i feel like her story will be one of transformation gone horribly wrong#which makes her such an interesting antagonist and contrast to how damon's development will likely go#anywho just rambling here in the tags don't mind me much#i just really like diana and i don't rant about her enough XD#momento rambles

Do you think Richter is going to kill Olrox? I almost don't want him to, but I think it would give Richter the closure he needs idk :/
oof so this has been sitting in my inbox for awhile just cause i've been figuring out a way to best formulate my thoughts on this topic but lemme try answering without sounding dismissive of other people's theories/interpretations (which i genuinely don't want to do)
short answer: no, he's not. at least that's not what i believe
long answer: so this isn't necessarily an issue specific to this fandom but rather fandoms on the whole, but castlevania fans tend to take certain moments and pieces of dialogue at their most literal meaning. which i mean i get it, i'm autistic so i often read into things very literally but guys pls sypha wasn't ACTUALLY calling alucard a real flesh and blood teenager (that's just one common example i can think of)
getting back to richter and olrox though, i think richter repeating word for word what was said to him after julia's death was an intentional decision on the writer's part. because even though olrox said he would kill richter "one day" once they finally reunite when richter's a young adult, olrox is never outwardly hostile or antagonistic towards him. during that scene in the church dungeons, he almost greets richter like an old friend who he hasn't seen in a long time and carefully reaches his hand out instead of attacking him (a moment which i STILL need an explanation for. it could be that olrox is at peace with the consequences of his actions but at the same time. writers i'm in your walls right now)

even after richter runs away, the two are still somewhat in the same vicinity as each other but again, olrox never makes the conscious decision to go after richter. mainly because he's obviously busy with other matters but when drolta asks him about richter, he just smiles and refers to him as "the son of an old foe". not his foe, just the son of one who he already bested
the only time i can remember when olrox actually snapped back at richter was when he wasn't listening and even then olrox doesn't want to kill him because (again) there are things more important currently happening than their rivalry

(just a side note but olrox also doesn't try to attack juste even when they're in the same area. probably because mizrak is there and would absolutely try to stop him but personally i think olrox is just done with belmonts now. like there's no point adding another hunter from the same family to his ledger now that the object of his *very justified* revenge is long gone)
i think someâobviously not all but SOMEâfans tend to narrow their focus on richter saying "i will kill you olrox. one day" without taking into account the "but not today" addition. and i don't think richter would be smiling like this if he was really planning on killing olrox
to me this was richter's way of telling olrox "i never forgot what you did to me. but i recognize that you saved my life when you could have easily ended it. i don't forgive you and you probably don't forgive me either. that makes us even". or as @ifishouldvanish put it (i think it was them so correct me if i'm wrong!!) that scene was richter saying "nine years ago you made the decision to walk away and i've been afraid of you ever since. now i'm no longer afraid and i'm making the decision to walk away"
which honestly? i think thats infinitely more narratively fulfilling and a more interesting way of giving richter closure than having him repeat the cycle of revenge. because olrox is already repeating a different cycle of his own with mizrak
but anyway, nah i don't think richter is going to eventually kill olrox nor do i think he SHOULD. but my word isn't gospel and this is probably just a case of this evergreen post:

#ask aquila#castlevania#castlevania nocturne#god i'm risking everything by tagging this but thanks for the ask dear anon ;0;#hopefully i explained myself and i don't sound like i'm halfway up my own ass ;;

I Also Wonder
Since AZ was an underutilized character in Pokemon XY, it's very easy to miss information about him. [I have a quick post with some bullet points on canonical details very easy to pass over if you aren't looking for info across all official materials.] Now that he will be a staple character in an expanded city, will they go in depth about his past, or still leave those previous blanks?
yes i'm gonna talk about this again i'll get to a point stick with me If you're new to him, or need a refresher:
---- AZ was the former King of Kalos from over 3'000 years ago. During his rule, a terrible war between unnamed regions broke out, in which lots of human and pokemon lives were sacrificed. It escalated so terribly, that there became a demand for more and more powerful fodder. This was at a time where pokemon were still considered tools or 'monsters' rather than creatures to be cherished and respected. Eventually, Kalos' own soldiers forcibly ceased AZ's beloved Floette, a gifted pokemon from his mother, to fight in the war. She did not return to him alive. Desperate to have his beloved partner back, AZ, who had already contributed miraculous technology to ancient society, built a crystalline machine that could harness the infinite energy of powerful pokemon, and bring her back to life. He succeeded in bringing her back, however...He was still deeply enraged with the state of affairs. The enemy and his own army be damned, he adjusted the machine, the ultimate weapon, to obliterate the war in its entirety. Friend and Foe, turned to ashes.
The price of reanimation is very steep. He was no better than the war for using pokemon lives in such a selfish way. This wasn't her partner anymore. After AZ's actions, Floette rightfully found him wicked, and left. Both cursed by the radiant energy of the machine, AZ's and Floette's life became eternal. For 3,000 years he wandered the world in search of his soul mate, until finally, at the end of pokemon XY, he battled the champion, and remembered how much he cherished pokemon. The wickedness in his heart was lifted, and with this, Floette finally returned to him again.
----
Quite a story. So what was the point in me saying all of that? There is...an entire additional subplot of the 3,000 year war that you can blink and miss. You can only find this if you take time to read books on one of the floors of Lysander's lab. The text is very brief, but the implications are significant.
What on earth...was going on between AZ and his brother. I want, more than anything, for AZ to mention something about that in PLZA. Or at least, be able to read about it somewhere. I am speculating based on what text we were given, but His unnamed brother MAY HAVE BEEN the cause of the war, and POSSIBLY the reason why AZ's own army betrayed him. I can not stress this enough, Floette's inclusion in the war was forced by Kalosian army. I assume there was some erosion of respect for the king for that level of insubordination to occur. Shouldn't something like that be forbidden?
In the Lab notes, AZ's brother was using the war to take Kalos for himself. He was so guilty after his brother disappeared, that he took it upon himself to burry the ultimate weapon. Why are you so guilty....what the hell did you do...?
The idea of 'family' and lineage is a theme I find prevalent in Pokemon XY, and I feel like they ran out of time to flush it out. I mean duh, it's 'france' kings and queens and all, but, still.
It's on the back burner when it =feels= like it's significant that all of these issues do appear to be family related. The fact that AZ and Lysandre are relatives is certainly an interesting choice, but I can't articulate what about it that makes me circle around it in wonder.
Info Text in game is stated so casually and matter of factly, but wait wait wait hold on just a fucking minute... what do you mean his own brother-
I hope that was followable ^^;

Thereâs a lot I want to address, let me break it down.
Okay, so, first, this was not criticism of the show. This was me getting my theorizing hat on and thinking âhmm thereâs something that could be going on hereâ, especially with all the volume 9 lore.
Iâve never thought of Ozâs reincarnation as a loophole, but that could be true? Iâve always been more interested in the thematic implications. Like, the god of light doesnât say, âlike-minded soulâ, he says itâll be in a way which means Oz is ânever aloneâ.
I think the like-minded thing may be symptomaticâneed to be similar enough to get alongâ but itâs not the actual curse. Itâs what Oz believes. If Oz never changed, never was challenged by a host, heâd probably be as lost as Salem.
Next, I think the responses reminded me of a great point, which is that Ozâs reincarnation is the god of lightâs magic. Whenever Oscar and Ozpin trade places, their eyes glow with the golden light of what we can assume to be the godâs magic.
Having thought about it more, I think the Maidenâs magic is less influenced by Ozpinâs own curse, and more so a side-effect of that curse. Magic is both limited and infinite. Ozpin can section it off, but those sections are deep resources.
I think, as long as Oz is still alive (in whatever form) his magic is, too. It is still interesting to me that the magic seems to be predicated on the maidenâyknow whomever is in her last thoughts, or Penny just handing it over to winter. I donât know if Oz intended it that way, or it just happened that he wanted the magic to go to a maiden, and the magic ended up obeying that, in a monkeyâs paw sort of way.
When people reincarnate in the Ever After, theyâre allowed to choose who they want to be, what they want to influence them. Somewhat was inspired by Ruby, Ruby was inspired by her mom. Oz was clearly inspired by the maidens when he gave the magic up, so maybe it followed that rule.
Super weird how the maidens get to choose who inherits their powersâŚ.. and their powers come from Oz who also reincarnates, but doesnât get to choose??? Ok sure crwby đ¤¨
#I think Oz mayve been inspired by his students when reincarnating#but Iâve talked about this more before so I wonât go too deep unless someone asks#ozpin#Oscar pine#ozma#ruby rose#rwby#geartalk#rwby analysis

Obsessed with this tense, uneasy peace everyone in our stories have with Isgarren. Not one single person trusts him or believes him that he wants to help or protect Tyria.
#bunny rambles#I genuinely GENUINELY find him interesting but absolutely dull as a Nice Guy He's Our Friend protag#I want someone who I am never on easy footing with and feels like an offer one hand but arm the other relationship#that's what it felt like it was setting up at the very very start of SotO before I soured on it#and it's infinitely more interesting to me#my sandbox now babyyyy

âanri cares about the blue lock boysâ âanri is like a mother/sister figure to the blue lock boysâ âanri is kind to the blue lock boysâ meanwhile this is anri with kunigami:

SHE DOES NOTTTTT GAF ABOUT THEM đ they are a means to an end for her!! obviously she doesnât hate them and of course she was happy they beat the u20s but letâs think critically hereâŚwas she truly proud of them as people or was she just happy that the program wouldnât be shut down??
the narrative (especially via her interactions with ego) treats anri as someone very naive and dumb, but blue lock and hiring ego were HER idea. everything that has happened to the boys is a direct consequence of HER actions, decisions, and dreams of japan winning a world cup. letâs not forget sheâs also only 3 years older than aiku, kaiser, and sendou â she has no interest in taking care of a bunch of insane high-school-aged soccer freaks, she literally just wants her country to win the wc because she herself is a soccer freak!!
#anri is not a good person but she is infinitely more interesting and a better character when you realize that#unfortunately i think kaneshiro is allergic to women so i doubt sheâll ever get the depth she deserves#but she deserves better and i wish more people saw her for who she actually is!!#teieri anri#kunigami rensuke#<- since he cameos in the post JFJDSJ#bllk#bllk analysis#<- bye i hate tagging stuff with that tag it makes me feel pretentious esp because i never post anything serious ever

For no reason in particular, reminder that:
- Most of hollow knight's world is caked in fossils, to the point that I would unironically consider the possibility that the sand, dirt and gravel we see is actually grinded up fossils eroded by the elements
- Fossilization may or may not occur faster in this world or in Hallownest in particular, as implied in the wanderer's journal entry on the crossroads statues
- Pyritized fossils are fossils formed from pyrite (fool's gold), sometimes also mixed in with other metals such as iron, instead of the more common rock ones. These are metallic and can look golden or metallic looking, just like geo. There's also opalized fossils but that's not relevant here
#hollow knight#hollow knight lore#am i vague posting about a video that pissed me off? perhaps#the implications of geo being fossils are infinitely more interesting that whatever game theory⢠bullshit was that#at least the comments are calling him out on this

Thinking about marriage/women's rights on Vulcan Some may think that T'Pring not being allowed to divorce Spock was because he was going through the pon farr but if she were allowed to divorce him at all she probably would have done that a long time ago, confirmed by T'Pol when she's speaking with Koss, who isn't suffering from the pon farr. She says that he can choose another mate (without invoking a fight it seems: note the difference between a 'mate' and a 'challenger') and after he makes it clear that nothing she says will change his mind about marrying her, she finally threatens to declare a kal-if-fee. It's clear that Vulcan women cannot divorce/refuse to marry a man they've been betrothed to under any circumstances if A) He himself doesn't consent to ending their marriage or B) She doesn't have someone else waiting in the wings to be given to in his stead. Though, if the challenger she selects fails to win the fight, she'll have to marry her betrothed anyway unless (again) he decides he doesn't want her after the challenge. That seems like an incredibly unfair system, heavily biased towards men. SNW is an alternate universe in many obvious respects but most egregiously in that T'Pring has a lot of non-canonical agency over her relationship with Spock. It's interesting to me that Vulcan society has women in many positions of power and treats women as equal to men from what I've seen despite these laws. We don't really see Vulcans exhibiting a misogynistic attitude towards women in general but in TOS (perhaps because of its general writing style but it's still interesting to note) both Sarek and Spock take on patriarchal attitudes specifically regarding wives. Amanda says that 'of course' Sarek commands her because "he is a Vulcan and I am his wife." It's worthwhile in my eyes to note that she specifies 'wife' instead of attributing this attitude to women as a whole. Again, with TOS' writing style it wouldn't be out of place for her to say "he is a man and I am a woman." Spock, while in a pon farr induced irritation, states that it's "undignified for a woman to play servant to a man that isn't hers" - again implying that there's something specific about being a Wife in Vulcan society which is different from being a woman in general and demands subservience to a husband. This could perhaps stem from the extreme sense of ownership that Vulcan law has permitted men to have over women. A woman legally cannot point blank refuse marriage. There is no option which guarantees she won't have to marry her betrothed other than death. When T'Pau speaks of T'Pring she refers to her as being 'property' and Stonn, before being interrupted, states he's made 'the ancient claim' - we don't know what this is because he gets cut off but it's obvious they're both using the language of Vulcan law. Men are permitted true freedom to choose. If a woman wants to choose someone else to be with there is no option available to her other than the kal-if-fee which might result in the death of the one she wants to be with. And, if her lover fails, her husband can still just decide he wants to marry her and she'll be forced to. T'Pring gives two scenarios: One where Spock 'frees' her and one where he doesn't - it's still ultimately his decision which is clear when he ends the conversation with "Stonn, she is yours." This again isn't just because of the pon farr as T'Pol also goes through this. Koss can choose another mate and when the option is talked about there's no implication that this would result in any sort of fight (both by the casualness of its mention and by the fact that there's no formal word for it unlike the kal-if-fee.) Also, the fact that Koss does eventually grant T'Pol a divorce and it's all fine means that T'Pol isn't lawfully required to have another man waiting if her HUSBAND doesn't want her. It's ONLY required if SHE doesn't want her husband. Tradition must take precedence over individual desire UNLESS!!! You're a man. Then it's fine. Like, your parents might not be happy but legally you're golden.
#as a note do NOT read the comments on any T'Pol marriage clips on youtube they're full of 'haha women amiright' jokes about#how she's leading Trip on and being a bitch for not choosing him etc - if you become interested in female characters you learn#quickly just how much people still hate women displaying any amount of complexity/doing anything that isn't just falling into a man's arms#even if that hatred doesn't take the form of outright vitriol (aka: 'I feel so sad for Trip bc T'Pol's marrying some other guy')#Trip: T'Pol listen this arranged marriage stuff is no good - you've gotta be free! You have to do what YOU want to do!#T'Pol: -legally seen as property of her husband in the eyes of the law- ...............#<- not dunking on Trip it's just funny how easy it makes it seem - but!! He doesn't know all the facts#as evidenced by him saying T'Pol might 'call off the wedding' to her mother - T'Pol can't legally call off shit#It's also interesting how gender isn't really mentioned in any of the clips I've seen - it's very clear to me that T'Pol has no options#specifically because she's a WOMAN within her culture but that's almost like a quiet undercurrent and not focused on as a main#point of dissatisfaction - which I imagine it 1000% would be for Vulcan women when men have infinitely more freedom#Vulcan Man: I don't wanna marry this lady#Vulcan Law: Ok#Vulcan Woman: I don't wanna marry this guy#Vulcan Law: Noted. So - if you and your lover are willing to risk his life there's a chance (if he wins) that you can get out of marrying#him BUT if your husband kills your lover and still wants to marry you you DOOO have to marry him sorry you just gotta#<- this also makes it incredibly dangerous to in any way warn your legal husband that a kal-if-fee might be incoming#the element of surprise is a HUGE advantage when it comes to winning a fight to the death (which your lover can train for)#Vulcans#T'Pol#T'Pring#star trek#I don't think this is bad necessarily (as a fictional worldbuilding thing) but I wish it were explored more#It's especially interesting because it's an aspect of logical Vulcan society - it's clearly not logical but it's also clearly rooted deeply#in tradition which may mean Vulcan long ago used to have a much more extreme gender bias towards the male population#it just implies a lot that Vulcan has these old laws which are unfair towards women yet they still follow BUT women are treated as equal#citizens OUTSIDE of marriage! Maybe there was a feminist movement before? Is there another brewing? Where are the Vulcan feminists!

i like labru more than kabumisu bc i want to see kabru get worse more than i want to see mithrun get better
#no hate to mithrun really#its just so much funnier#also you dont need to fall in love to find new desires or to just get better in general#like i get the appeal of that fr but lets not lean TOO far into 'a relationship will fix everything'#labru is just infinitely more fun to me#theres so much more room for them to interesting things to me#like yes falling in love but also building a kingdom from the ground up? building trust in each other? learning from each other?#idk its more fun to me that kabumisu#delicious in dungeon#dunmeshi#labru#kabumisu

Vroom vroom here comes a stupid poto analysisssssss. Once more I've run into that plot point where they point out "Would you have loved him if he were an ordinary man?"
IDK DUDE.
Her silence is important because it says a lot more than whatever else words would. She doesn't hate him, she is disgusted by him. That is what is clearly stated. But more broadly, who the fuck would Erik be if he WERE ordinary? His name wouldn't even BE Erik. Would he still be so into music? Would they have met? Would Erik even have spent the time to develop her singing skills because, let's be honest, the whole "dead" father bit definitely made her more open to manipulation? So whenever people say, "It's her saying she's in love with him" I feel like people are missing the big picture, because, the WHOLE theme of the book is how we treat those who are "different". Literally. The end of the book has a monologue about questioning whether we should pity Erik. (and the answer is a lot more complicated than a simple yes or no).
SO. IDK. MAYBE???
#phantom of the opera#gaston leroux#this isn't me saying you can't ship Christine and Erik#I'm just saying this point always makes me mad cuz#his whole character arc is getting better#and learning#or whatever#so when folks make the whole plot of the book#Erik or Raoul discorse#I get so bored#because Erik is an infinitely more interesting character for his arc#sorry for the rambles

Each of the 60th special eps so far have had one potential plot hook for future episodes, and I think it would be very funny if both of them payed off in The Giggle.
"We meet again, Doctor! I, the Toymaker, have gained access to your realm. You invoked superstition at the edge of the universe, where the laws of physics are frayed and unimaginable horrors are watching from the dark, and it allowed me to manifest in this reality. And then I got a phone call from my friend Beep The Meep."
#my posts#doctor who#toymaker#beep#dw spoilers#if you ask me one of the plot hooks was infinitely more interesting than the other jsdfhjsdf
