Round and round, we go - Choi Seung Hyun/T.O.P x Reader 1/?

Summary: After your friends drag you onto multiple rides, claiming they'd all be the last one, you were eventually thrown into the arms of a rather handsome stranger, causing you to immediately be charmed by his politeness and how much of a gentleman he was.

Whenever your friends begged you to go to their favorite amusement park, you were hesitant, you normally weren't that fond of all of the people, especially with the few rude people that somehow always appear at the worse times. You agreed, for some odd reason, your friends were over the moon, excited, you wouldn't learn why until standing in line for your first ride, watching as a group of guys walked through with security and camera crews.

"What did you get me into?" You sighed turning around to see them smiling brightly "Well! We saw that BigBang was going to be here today, filming for a variety show! So! Why not try and meet them?" You friend explained, you just raised your eyebrows at her, of course she was delusional enough to think that, she could wow the idols into loving her with one meeting. "Or we could..and just hear me out? Let them work?" You offered playfully, watching as they groaned "You're no fun!" They groaned stomping off as the ride operator motioned you all forward.

You were forgetting all about your friends' plan, mainly questioning on why you decided to wear a skirt to an amusement park, as you stood in line for your last ride. It was getting a little late, the sun was starting to set as you all walked onto the last ride, the giant colorful spinning ride, you thought said 'Disco Pang Pang' on the front sign. As you sat down, your body immediately froze, across the ride from you, sat four very recognizable boys, as the other seats continued to fill, you scooted closer to your friends, feeling nervous under the tallest male's gaze.

Seung Hyun had been wondering why he agreed to come to the show all day, not really understanding who would enjoy a TV episode of the boys going to an amusement park, but he still just stayed quiet, choosing to make the most of it with his friends. As he sat on the foam red bench, holding onto the bars behind him, he watched as a slightly younger women walked to a spot, followed by another, and then what he swore to be a work of art following behind the other two. He couldn't take his eyes off of you, you were breath-takingly beautiful, and you looked absolutely adorable whenever you'd turn to laugh with your friends. As the ride operator called you out, Seung Hyun was quick to pay attention "You! How old are you?" He asked into his microphone, you felt your cheeks heat up as you tried to play it off that he was talking to your friends, only for him to reply 'the other one' after each of their replies, blushing brightly you held up your fingers, signaling you were twenty-two. "Do you have a boyfriend?" The operator asked, causing you to laugh loudly shaking your head, as you heard him reply with something, the ride immediately started up. You squealed holding onto your friends, it wasn't that you weren't open to the idea of finding a date on the ride, it was the fact everybody's eyes were on you, trying to see what you'd do. As the ride tilted you lost your grip on your friend's hand giggling loudly, as the ride leveled out, you moved to your feet, making sure your skirt was laid flat as you tried to get back to your friends who held your scarf that was meant to be tied around your waist for this exact reason.

The operator was quick to turn the ride in the opposite direction, knocking you off of your feet, sending you rolling into the row of people across from your original position "Well help her, boys! She's a lady!" He called teasingly, as you tried your best to get up, Seung Hyun nervous ghosted his hands over you, unsure of how to grab you, especially not knowing where you felt comfortable being touched by strangers. As you squealed loudly, turning your focus to keeping your skirt down, Seung Hyun quickly grabbed your arm, pulling you to sit next to him, using one arm to hold the bars behind him, and his other to wrap around you, holding you close to him while trying to help with your skirt problem. As the ride continued to bounce, you watched as your friend was now the next victim of the operator's matchmaking. As soon as you noticed who exactly who were sat next to, you tried to stay calm, not wanting to freak out and fangirl in front of him, especially with the protective hold he had on your waist. "Think you can stand?" Seung Hyun asked softly, getting Ji-Yong's help to take off his coat, as you held onto his shoulders to help stable yourself, you stood up, blushing as he quickly wrapped his jacket around your hips, giving you a lot more coverage on your legs. "I'm going to try and get my cover thing!" You giggled, watching as he nodded softly, his eyes were glued to you as you attempted to make your way back to your original spot, only for the ride to tilt, sending you right back to the boys "Where are you going! That handsome guy is trying to help you!" The operator playfully laughed, Seung Hyun quick to catch you before you fell onto the ground again, helping you back to your seat "Hello! Nice to see you again!" He cheered playfully, as the ride spun faster at a tilt, you were quick to wrap your arms around his torso, trying your best to stay in your seat. Seung Hyun wrapped his free arm around you again, keeping you close until the ride was at a complete stop, allowing everybody to stand up and swarm the boys, their security guards quick to make some distance between everybody and the idols. "T-Thank you" You sheepishly whispered, bowing to the group in respect as you started to untie Seung Hyun's coat from your hips, his hands quick to catch yours "Keep it on, I'll come find you to get it back, we don't want anything like that happening again, do we?" He playfully asked, leaning close to you so you'd be able to hear him over the screaming group of fans, and the loudness of the park. "A-Are you sure? This has to be expensive" You asked, trying to take it off again, but he just grabbed your hands, pulling them away completely as he held them gently "I'm sure, I'd hate for something to happen, you can't trust some guys these days" He explained, you just nodded softly, in awe over how sweet he was, even when he had no idea who you were. Your attention was quickly pulled away as your friend grabbed your wrist, excitedly pulling you to one last ride, You waved softly as you offered the rapper an apologetic smile, knowing you couldn't stop your friend from dragging you away.

You'd be disappointed that you wouldn't see Seung Hyun again that night, while your fangirl heart was racing and screaming over having possession of his coat, you were disappointed you couldn't actually talk with him more before being whisked away. For about three weeks afterwards, you'd be very careful with his coat, not wanting to return it ruined, if you ever were able to return it.

Seung Hyun would be equally as disappointed, his mind being filled with thoughts of you and your voice, all while never even knowing who the hell you were. "Hyung, If you're that tore up about her..why don't you try and find her?" Dae-Sung asked softly as he sat on the couch next to his friend, frowning slightly at his disappointed, down, state "I don't know anything about her, other than she has my coat" He huffed, letting his head fall back in frustration "The coat you're supposed to wear at next week's show?" He asked, watching as the realization washed over his friend's face "Fuck! Yes!" He shouted, leaning forward to let his head fall in his hands "What am I going to do?" Seung Hyun sighed, knowing he's going to have to break it to their amazing wardrobe ladies, that he lost one of his performance coats.

"Y/n!!!! We got tickets!! I don't know how! But I just got the email!!" Your friend screamed over the phone, causing you to start screaming as well, knowing your neighbors probably hated you "Wait! Wait! The tickets we wanted up front?" You asked after a moment, your heart pounding in your chest as you heard her inhale "Yes!! We're going to be right up front, practically with them!!" She squealed, you stood in shock, you had been to BigBang shows before, but never this close, and as you thought further, you realized, maybe you could somehow get Seung Hyun's coat back to him through security?

You and your friends would practically be jumping in your spots as you waited for the show to start, Seung Hyun's jacket laid over your arm as you watched the large screens flash over different clips from previous shows, music videos, or just photos of the boys. "Why'd you bring that? I'd just keep it!" Your friend giggled, not understanding why you were so driven to return it, in her eyes, if an idol gave her their coat, she'd never take it off, but you were determined, not wanting to cause any grudge between you and the rapper for not returning it, like you both had agreed on you doing. As the show started, you and your friends couldn't contain your excitement, watching as the boys made their way on the stage.

Seung Hyun stood proudly on his mark, eyeing the crowd as he tried to spot anybody that even looked similar to you, even if you tried to hide it, Seung Hyun could tell right away, you were a fan of theirs, he just didn't care, especially whenever you acted to chill around him the first time, like he wasn't T.O.P, one of k-pop's best rappers. Neither him or Dae-Sung would spot you until 'fuck it', as Dae-Sung kneeled at the end of the stage, singing to a group of fans, he'd spot you with your friends, singing along with the music, Seung Hyun's jacket proudly being displayed as you wore it, finally putting it on whenever you got cold.

He'd point you out to Seung Hyun as soon as he got close to his friend, proud of himself for finding one of his hyung's mystery girls. Seung Hyun would keep his eyes on you for the rest of the show, not wanting to forget where you were, as soon as he'd get backstage, he'd quickly point you out to security, telling them some story about you being an old friend. Whenever the guards would come out to get you, all three of you would think, you were in a deep shit somehow, especially whenever they led you through a door towards the back of the stage. As you walked into the area, your eyes immediately fell on the sweaty, worn out, out of breath group, specifically Seung Hyun, pulling off his coat, you rushed over "I-I am so so sorry! I couldn't find you after my friend pulled me away!, but I swear I took the best of care, even fixed some of the tears and worn out threads on it for you, and gave you a pocket on the inside for mics, since you dropped yours, dancing, last show. Not that I was at l-last show, I-I don't know you guys- W-well I do, but-" Your rambling was cut off by Seung Hyun's chuckles, him finding it adorable that you were this nervous over a coat. "Thank you, I appreciate it, jagiya" He smiled, holding your hand gently as he took his coat from you "I never caught your name last time I saw you, though-" Seung Hyun was cut off by Dae-Sung rushing over "Is this her? Oh my gosh! She's so cute! You were right, Hyung! Her eyes are so pretty, Hi! I'm Dae-Sung, and you are?" He smiled happily, extending his hand out, only for you to shake your head, bowing slightly to him "Y/n, I'm L/n Y/n, Pleasure to meet you, Dae-Sung" You smiled sweetly, shaking his hand as Seung Hyun watched you both with a smile "Nice to meet you, Y/n..A beautiful name for a beautiful woman" Seung Hyun smiled softly, watching as a blush rose to your cheeks "I-I should probably get going..My friends are outside, waiting" You muttered sheepishly, turning to glance back at the door you came through, the boys bid you a farewell as you headed back towards the door, only for Seung Hyun to rush over, grabbing your wrist softly "Wait, Will I see you again?.." He asked, he wasn't sure what it was with you, but just in the small bit of time you had spent together on that damn ride, you had made him feel like a kid, having his first crush. "If you want to, I-I um..have a pretty free schedule" You admitted shyly before pulling out your phone, reading off your phone number to him before smiling "Text me?.." You asked shyly, sliding your phone back in your pocket, wrapping your arms around yourself trying to conserve any heat you had left from wearing the idol's coat.

"Aein, here" Seung Hyun chuckled, taking another coat off and slipping it over your shoulders "You give me one back, I'll give you a new one to wear home, I'd feel terrible if you went home cold" He admitted, not realizing you had brought his coat as the coat you'd wear, in his defense though, you hadn't realized either. "I think you just want me to fix up all of your coats" You teased playfully, Seung Hyun just laughed softly shaking his head "I just don't want you to freeze!" He laughed out, walking you to the door before holding it open for you "I'll call you, okay?" He assured as you shyly walked out to the now empty arena "Got it" You replied smiling before rushing off to your friends, feeling butterflies in your stomach as you tried to hold back your squeal, you just gave THE Choi Seung Hyun your number, and he said he'd call you!

Who is Edwin without Charles

So I got this NGL and it took me a while to answer. I mean, I had the answer almost immediately, but it quickly became a 3000 word ramble and sparked a few side rambles as well. So I tried to pare it down a bit. It kinda worked. So, here goes...

Fair warning, lots of rambling ahead but I tried!

Who is Edwin without Charles. I have TOO many thoughts about this. Firstly, hypotheticals are hard, especially with people, because there are too many variables! And in the case of Edwin, limited data. We see Edwin in the show after 30+ years of being with Charles. We have his flashback with limited shots showing him being different and ostracized by his peers then sacrificed. We know he spent 70 years in Hell. But this flashback doesn't tell us much about him as a person, just more about his peers response and treatment of him. So his actions in the attic scene and Edwin's own descriptions of himself are what we mostly have to go off of for who he is prior to spending 30+ years with Charles.

A few things we know and can assume about Edwin. Edwin is intelligent, studious, and values information and logic. Edwin is fairly straightforward. Edwin is kind (he may not be nice, but he is kind! I'll die on that hill like Charles died in that attic). He believes he is not good with people. He may have believed at some point that he deserved Hell. He does display some ptsd related symptoms and heightened fear response to certain triggers related to Hell. I mean, 30+ years later, he's still very hypervigilant about the potential of Hell finding him. Also, he has a drive and purpose with his detective work.

As for Charles, there are four things I think Charles provides Edwin that significantly impact the Edwin we see 30+ years down the road - I don't think these four things are the only things, but they're what I'm considering heavily in this portion of my analysis. Charles provides acceptance without change (accepting who Edwin is as he is and not expecting or forcing change or masking), a connection to others and the world, SAFETY (in words and actions, Charles not only claims he'll protect Edwin but repeatedly does), and absolution (this will take some explanation, later in the analysis). I think it might be argued that Charles helps Edwin find purpose in detective work, but I think this would always happen, just maybe not as quickly or easily. Reading detective stories to Charles may have made it fresh in Edwin's mind, but I think Edwin would always seek out some self-appointed task or purpose. Plus, he does reveal an ulterior motive of building a case for leniency, so the detective work purpose would eventually come about even without Charles. But, lets remove Charles from the equation.

First, Edwin will always be kind. 70+ years in Hell after being sacrificed by his peers, he still takes the time to comfort and care for an injured and dying boy, putting himself at risk at the same time. He knew Death would come when Charles passed, he explained the light to Charles, but he waits. He waits until Charles passes and even until the light appears. Edwin maintains his inherent kindness through 70+ years of the worst place and the worst people. So I think Edwin will still be kind.

Second, I disagree that Edwin is "bad with people" but he believes he is. This is ingrained from the treatment of his peers (and possibly family) and further exacerbated by being out of touch with the times, being displaced a 100 years out of time. He asks if the women in Niko's family are prone to bouts of hysteria. This would've been common medical thinking in his time. A couple episodes later, he stops himself from using the word hysteria. This implies part of his "bad with people" is lack of knowledge. That all being said, Charles is largely his source of updated information and also a connection to others, smoothing out things when Edwin says something wrong and being a major support for Edwin being himself. Without Charles as a point of connection, Edwin may never learn he isn't "bad with people" and would become a self-fulfilling prophecy. He might withdraw more and, with no one to help talk to clients and smooth out any bumps and missteps, any error would be amplified. So Edwin becomes what he believes he is, "bad with people", withdrawn, and isolated more. He already reduces a lot of interactions to their necessary functions and would just do this to more extreme.

Third, Edwin's PTSD symptoms would probably be worse including increased hypervigilance, heightened flight-freeze response, and anxiety or possible even panic attacks. All of these would be internalized as well as something being wrong with him. Charles offers safety and acceptance of Edwin - he accepts Edwin's reactions without faulting him, ridiculing him, or shaming him. He accepts Edwin sharing as much about Hell as he does (we don't know the extent and clearly he left out details, but he did tell Charles "loads of stories about Hell"). Talking through traumatic experiences and emotions is a huge part of overcoming them and moving past them. Charles offers that to Edwin. Charles also offers safety - stepping between Edwin and a threat at every opportunity, protecting Edwin from physical pain but also coming to his defense in other ways - protecting him from the concept of Hell, the risk of going back, the idea he even belongs there. Charles shows again and again that he'll protect Edwin. Edwin feels safe! And we see this with his clothes. There are only four times we see Edwin without his armor. Twice are unwilling - pain and fear in Hell and on Esther's table. Twice are willing - Ep 6 in his sweater when he plans to confess to Charles and Ep 1 in the office when its just the two of them. Edwin feels safe with Charles and takes his armor off, even when he's about to do the very frightening thing of confessing his feelings. He feels safe. But if Edwin doesn't have that acceptance and safety, I imagine he doesn't progress as much in relation to his trauma. His PTSD symptoms may worsen or at least he stays in survival mode for so much longer.

Which brings me to point four - survival mode and Edwin finding his purpose - detective work. Again, still think he'd be a detective. I just think it'd be delayed. I think Edwin would spend a lot more time in initial survival more than we can assume he did in the show. Without a sense of safety and acceptance offered by Charles, I think Edwin spends longer in survival mode, a constant state of flight. How long would he stay in survival mode, flight mode for? Would he ever feel safe or would it worsen? You do not run from trauma. You do not hide from fear. Without something to help him feel safe, would Edwin have been as trapped in his own fear and trauma as he had been previously trapped in Hell? Charles is not the only reason Edwin moves out of flight/survival mode. Edwin has to do that work himself, and maybe 30 years later he does or has. But Charles would offer a huge support in this that now isn't there.

Finally, Edwin doesn't deserve to be in Hell, but maybe he believed he did. Maybe, without Charles, he still does. Edwin, when meeting Simon again, says "when you punish yourself, everywhere becomes Hell." Edwin spent the season learning about himself, exploring parts of himself he didn't before. I don't think these word were always something he believed, nor was that self-punishment something he could let go of. Every time Charles or Edwin talk about Edwin being in Hell (except when Edwin is using is as a "you know nothing of suffering" comeback), they point out that it was on a technicality. The only other exception is the attic, when Edwin reveals to Charles who only just escaped Hell. We know he wouldn't have talked about Hell previously in the attic scene, cause of how Charles reacts "chuffed you got out of Hell mate. Sounds hard" and because Edwin hadn't even told Charles he was dying so as not to scare him. A hell-condemned ghost would scare most people. But, in the attic, Edwin also doesn't clarify that he was there on a technicality. 30 years later, that technicality is always mentioned, mostly by Charles. It is very clear that in their 30 years together, Charles has been openly adamant that Edwin doesn't belong in Hell. But Edwin's first time mentioning he'd been in Hell, he doesn't mention the technicality, even as a means to not frighten Charles. Possibly, Edwin wasn't so sure at that point. Possibly, Edwin believed that he belonged there, even if it was only a technicality that got him there. Maybe he believed he was destined for the red light. So, without that defender to not just his soul but his honor and goodness, would Edwin believe he doesn't deserve to be in Hell.

Edwin without Charles is still kind, still finds purpose, but I think struggles with finding safety and with resulting PTSD, self-acceptance, and absolution, even if its just absolution from his own self-perceived sins.

Might be an uncouth subject, but I was wondering if you'd be willing to share some insight on what kind of money goes into producing audio dramas (specifically when it comes to reaching out to/compensating vocal talent.) I know a lot depends on what tools and connections you already have; I'm just looking for a flexible baseline to start from and make sure I'm not cheating or insulting folks by asking them to work for peanuts. Having a target to save up for would be a huge help. Thanks so much!

(And yeah, I'll totally admit this is partly just me wondering how you fine WANA folks managed to nab Jonny Sims and Tiana Camacho for Killjam XXX; let me know if this is a question better posed via email and I'll get out of your hair, sorry for bothering!)

This isn't an uncouth question at all. It's actually a great question and we'll be happy to answer it!

It's hard to give a definitive baseline for budget beyond the cost of web hosting and audio equipment, which in itself can vary quite a bit. The yeti mic and arm set we (Meg and Henry) bought for Less is Morgue (and still record a lot of Killjam and TKH on) cost about 200 dollars. If I remember correctly the hosting costs for Less is Morgue were about 30 a month, and for Kingmaker it's 14 dollars a month. Those are the only two things you absolutely need to spend money on, so it's definitely possible to make a good quality audio drama for under a grand. In fact, we would absolutely not recommend going over a grand at this point. You definitely don't want to shoot too high with the budget for your first project. Spoken from experience, you will end up spending it on things you'll later realise weren't worth it.

The most important thing is just to put something out there first so the actors can tell that the project is real and you're not just stringing them along. The few episodes of Less is Morgue were pretty much all done in-house with a cast that was mostly people we were already friends with, and we didn't do any open auditions until midway through the season. Another way to do it is to start off as a single narrator podcast then gradually introduce a full cast as the show goes on. Other shows have released a pilot episode to the public that then serves as an advertisement for what the rest of the show will sound like. Once you have a sample of your work out there, you can start reaching out to actors.

When it comes to how you compensate your talent- just be upfront about how much money you're working with. The best way to not cheat or insult folks is by giving them realistic expectations. Don't promise money you don't have, and don't ask them to do work for something that you won't be able to finish. If you're honest and easy to work with, a lot of voice actors will be willing to adjust their rates or work for free. Speaking from a voice actor's perspective, Addison said she would be willing to work for free on a first time indie project if it seemed fun and interesting and she could tell that it was something the creator was really passionate about.

As for how we got some of our big names- it really is all about cultivating a reputation for being cool to work with. Maybe not the most useful advice for a first project, but it will be useful later, and it is true. At this point the WANA core four have been involved in The NoSleep Podcast, Congeria, Less is Morgue, The Kingmaker Histories and Mayfair Watcher's Society, and that's only counting the stuff that more than one of us have been involved with. Every project we try to make loads of friends. Eventually you will have enough mutual friends with enough people that you can just hit up Jonny Sims and Tiana Camancho, because someone you know worked with them on some other thing and they're willing to vouch for you.

@allhailthepandicorn I am begging you, please please, go back and really, honestly look at and think about the fact that you saw a video of one person repeatedly violently punching another person and your response was "he isn't violent". Violence isn't an innate trait that people either are or are not. It is literally just actions.

Dean kills people for a living. He tortures people. He has a trunk full of illegal weapons in his car. He threatens people and hits them and points weapons at them to get his way. He has almost killed his brother multiple times. He's beat his brother into unconsciousness. He's appointed himself judge and potential executioner of multiple people, including his son, and is proud of it. He's shot or almost shot his son multiple times. He held a gun on his brother, with his finger on the trigger, and then punched him hard enough to knock him to the ground four episodes before the end of the series. He is violent.

And he does grow over the course of the show--unfortunately he grows more violent, not less.

As the OP correctly noted, he's also clearly and obviously abusive, but I'm not even talking about that here. This is the first time I've seen someone say he's not even violent, and I'm sorry for taking discourse about a dumb TV show too seriously, but we must not do this right now. Dean is pretend and thought crimes aren't real, and it's fine to love him in spite of his violence. It's even fine to love this pretend guy because of his violence if that's what floats one's boat, because it's pretend. But we have to draw the ability to call things what they are lovingly to our chests and nourish it and help it grow. He is not #problematic. That doesn't even mean anything. He is violent. Be brave.

First of all. I LOVE this show. However... WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH JUN???? I can't decide from one scene to the next if he's helping Thame and Po or if he's trying to drive a wedge between them. And if he's trying to keep them apart, WHY?????

Let's set aside the fact that the show is called THAMEPO and they will end up together no matter what. What's his angle? Cause I think the show wants us to think he likes Po. I mean, c'mon?!

What was this? I hate this with a passion. Because not only do I hate love triangles, but what I hate even more is when those triangles have two good friends in them. So it's bad all around. Please do not do this to me, show! I don't want to root against the couple, and I don't want to root against the friendship, so this is a nightmare. And what makes it even worse, is that I don't even know if Jun likes Po.

Honestly, I don't think he does. I think there's something else going on, but at this point to think that Jun is helping them strains credulity. Because in this episode, he did nothing but keep them apart as much as possible. And keep himself close to Po in the process. So yeah, although I love this show, I am frustrated as hell.

Anyway, I continue to adore Thame. He's so smitten it's ridiculous. 'You only sent me four photos?' He's taking the meaning of whipped to a whole new level. And the way he keeps checking in with Po to make sure he knows he's also a priority is peak romance. And that ending... I just can't. They make me all giddy and soft and all I can do is scream.

finished my first book of the year last night!!

#text #misc #mel talks #mel tries reading #aiming to read at minimum five books this year #which i realize is a very low goal #but for me that’s even gonna be a struggle #unless i manage to find books i like #then i can finish them in a few days #wish me luck!!#also this book was victoria by daisy goodwin #which goes along with the itv victoria series i watched last year #and it’s just the first four episodes of the show #but it was well written #and she has some other books #so i’m gonna read them at some point i think #so that’ll be three books total #and then i think i wanna try reading the percy jackson series #but i’m gonna wait until season 1 is over maybe idk

Let’s take into consideration:

Arthur would rather waste precious time before an important council meeting to run around the entire castle and search for Merlin, who, in his very honest opinion is the worst servant of the entire kingdom or that he had ever known, than to call literally anyone else to help him dress (as if there wouldn’t be anyone ready to assist Arthur, their king, with clothes);

Arthur, and therefore Agravaine (which makes it all the more hilarious) knows every single place where Merlin could be, at that precise moment, or during that day in general; (EDIT: As someone pointed out in the comments, everyone and Agravaine included knows who is the “dollophead”)

The guards nod to Agravaine without asking anything, which only means that it is canon that everyone in Camelot knows Merlin by name; EDIT: It also means that the guards deal with this on a daily basis. They must be tired.

The aforementioned point implies that everyone knows how Merlin looks like, that also means Merlin is known to never leave Arthur’s side, even during council meetings;

Arthur is running around the castle in what today we would call a pyjama, just because Merlin didn’t wake him up with, “Rise and Shine”. And he’s barefoot. That’s right. The king of Camelot, everyone, has just walked barefoot in Merlin’s chambers, in the armoury, where other knights probably are, and in the bloody stables (yes, the ones where the horses and their dungs both are), without boots on, just to look for Merlin;

Arthur is more distressed in this scene than in the one where Morgana declares war in season five. He’s fretting like a mother hen. Not only he is without breath, which means he was just coming back from his checking around, but he is red in the face and almost yelling in desperation. “Does he expect me to dress myself?!” Because apparently, Arthur literally cannot do anything without Merlin by his side. The way he says, “No sign of him” to Agravaine is so endearing, and he shouldn’t be this adorable. Unfair, Arthur. Really unfair.

Arthur just yells, (and distressingly looks around) in hope that Merlin will come back to him, because he always does. *sounds of my heart breaking into millions of pieces*

And last but not least, Arthur shouts, “Last night!”, which means the actual reason he’s going around searching for Merlin, it’s because he’s worried his world will end without his quirky and clumsy servant by his side (and the love of his life). Merlin is currently out on a quest with Gwaine to look for Gaius, since he has been kidnapped, but the problem is that Arthur doesn’t know this. What he knows is that he has fought with Merlin the day before about Gaius in the council chambers, and believes Merlin is gone for good, this time, and solely for the fight they had. Arthur feels more than guilty that he can’t make it up to his best friend, the love of his life (Agravaine helped Morgana kidnap Gaius, and it explains the ending of the scene, where he understands where Merlin is.) Now Arthur is worried that his last words to Merlin were harsh. He had last seen him when he was done with his duties the night before, and then Merlin disappeared.

No wonder they deleted this scene.
