i’m currently trying to write a scene of a character coming out as trans to his older brother and i’m legit sobbing so hard i can’t even write it

Ron carefully took the gift with one hand— the other staying wrapped around his big brother’s arm. He set it on his lap then unwrapped the cloth. He stared down at the hair clip, tears quickly filling his eyes again. “Thank you.” His voice shook and he knew it didn’t sound genuine.

“You don’t like it?”

Ron’s free hand smacked up to his eyes to cover them. “It’s not that,” he sobbed. He tried to take calming breaths, but it was becoming harder to breathe— harder to stay quiet. “Everything feels wrong. All the time.”

This is so random but it’s so funny that with the release of the book of bill it kinda canonically states that bill is 12 years old. Like I just rember the huge controversy over bill dip bc well dipper is 12 and bill is a billion! But then the book ten years later in an unprecedented 4D chess move says the bill is also, technically 12, like mentally? For his species? So now they’re both hilariously 12 and the ship has backwardly become unproblematic.

so all the excitement of yesterday caused me to crash in the end plus the stress has finally caught up to me and i've caught the lurgy and i was back to work today lmao bUT my stress levels are very much back to normal and i should have more time on my hands this month to (hopefully) write but also to do a lil spring clean here on this blog !

i don't think i'll be dropping threads this time around, but i do want to clean up my inbox a little, and while i'm still working on getting topaz up on the blog properly, i also want to look at my dynamic tags and see if i can figure out a way to make them a lil more personalised. it's a tricky one because i have so many wonderful dynamics across so many muses and i want them all to feel equally valued while also knowing that coming up with individual tags for all of them is a lot of work. plus i have an eight year old tagging system to contend with so i'm trying to work on a compromise that i'm happy with

The pattern is that people straight up do not read™. or they read a 3-5 tweet summary of what happened and treat it as if they did. or because shonen expectations based on "the classics" is bullshit and significantly rotted people's brains when deciding wether an ending is good or not.

yeahhh. i will forever regret reading the last chapter through leaks because it was a dreadful experience, and watching everyone ever shit on it for like a week after genuinely made me want to just get off the internet forever or something because i felt like an idiot for liking the ending (all this is my fault for getting too invested in both tumblr and mha etc etc).

All the "it's rushed" and pacing complaints barely matter to me at this point because you just cannot feel the pacing of something correctly when you're reading it exclusively through leaks. you can't absorb info like that. And don't get me started on the number of complaints and criticisms I've seen of the last chapter that are just provably bullshit (I saw someone say Izuku didn't get a statue lmao. yes he did, you just read the fucking leaks and watched twitter drama unfold instead of reading the actual chapter i fear).

it's kind of funny that my mom is really against popular and/or cliche names (like, we once got a black cat that came with the name 'midnight' but only ever called her 'middy', for example) but also wanted, ever since she was a little girl, to one day have a daughter and give her what was, coincidentally, the number one most popular name for girls by the time I was born
