Okay there’s a note by the OP that notes that they are FUNCTIONAL! Which I love. I also found more. I did say I would consult the texts, after all. There is nothing in the 2023 updated rules that says these couldn’t be used in US competitions. In fact! I pulled this little tidbit:

Now, the any-color-except-black is an old fun fact for me at this point, but the fact that they specifically also say decoration is useful. And this is mainly talking about standard uniform, but there’s nothing to say lames can’t also be any color, and in fact it’s common to see colored lames (think blue, pink). The only thing is that mask designs have to be pre-approved 30 days before their use in an official USA fencing competition. This is also true for logos. So the only problem someone might run into is if someone on bout comittee decided it counted as a logo.
