Hii! May I request Thomas Hewitt overhearing reader talk with her friends and saying that she came across this very cute guy whom she smiled at when they accidently made eye contact? (The guy is, of course, Tommy <3) And maybe Tommy spares her afterwards and decides to hide her away so that Hoyt doesn't order him to turn her into a human stew-
Thank you!

...
Thank you for sending in this ask! Sorry for the long wait time and I hope you enjoy!
The cool wind rushed across your face, whipping around your body and sweeping through your hair as you leaned back on your own hands.
Your eyes stared up to the bright blue sky, a few tuffs of cloud floating idly through the giant blue mass as you sped down the highway, your best friend behind the wheel.
You were sat in the passenger seat, feet planted on the dashboard as the radio blasted loudly enough to try and rival the open hood of the convertible.
Carly was screaming along to the music, open beer in hand as she swung around her seat behind you, loud laughter repeatedly breaking up her own singing.
Brooke was singing as well, pausing often to puff on the cigarette stuck in her left hand, the smoke immediately obliterating in the harsh winds as soon as it left her lungs.
You three had been on the road for two and a half hours, not even making it a quarter a way through your trip. Time was dragging on as Brooke sped past the desolate Texas fields, pushing well past the speed limits.
Carly's laughing suddenly dies down as she leaned past the front seat, turning the radio down to match her new tone.
“Hey, look! There's a gas station up ahead!” She pointed at the large red sign standing prominently on the side of the road, the faded red and white paint being about the only thing you can register about it as you quickly pass it.
“Oh, perfect, we're almost out.” Brooke sighed, flicking her cigarette butt to the road.
“I told you to fill up before we left!” You furrowed your brows as you looked your friend up and down, “We sat at that first place for twenty minutes, what gives?”
“Not the cute cashier, that's for sure.” Carly giggled as she wrapped her arms around your neck and leaned her chin on the seat, “You know how our Brooke is, always the romantic.”
You rolled your eyes and playfully nudged her, “Oh, like you're one to talk. Didn't you tell Freddy and Taylor you'd go out with them next week?”
“But I've got taste,” She insisted, “My men have to have culture. I don't just go for the first cute gas station clerk that comes my way.”
“Oh, get real, Carls,” Brooke scoffed, “The only 'culture' Taylor has is whatever's growing on his dick after sleeping his way through the entire town.”
Their smiles were wide as they continued to poke playful fun at each other, filling the few minutes it took to find the gas station with conversation and laughter.
The station wasn't anything fancy, no one in sight as the three of you parked next to one of the only two gas pumps out front.
The building was old and small, the white paint faded and chipping off the sides from the apparent decades it spent under the relentless Texas sun.
The glass door was smudged and unclean, the pumps rusted and stained, and the air was filled with the red dust Brooke's car had stirred up from driving through the dirt that laid out in front of it.
You couldn't help but think of how perfect this scene would be in a horror movie.
“Here.” Brooke dug a ten out of her small pink purse, shoving it your way.
“Why do I gotta go into the creepy old gas station?” You frowned, still taking the bill.
“Because I'm pumping the gas and Carly's already drank so much she's about to piss herself.”
You turned back to see Carly had already evacuated the back seat, hurrying off to look for the bathrooms.
You sighed and gave in, stepping out of the car and taking the opportunity to stretch as you made the short walk to the front door.
The metal was hot as you swung the door open, the creaky hinges screaming out as the heavy, rancid smell of old meat swept through your nose.
You couldn't help but cringe a little, nose scrunching and feet faltering at the old pig set inside the glass counter of the small deli to your left.
You brushed it off and stepped up to the counter to your right, greeting the older woman with a smile as she puffed on her cigarette.
She looked you up and down, a slight scowl on her face as she nodded at you.
“I need ten on, uh...” You glanced back through the door, “...The pump that's closest to the door.”
“Ain't got no gas.” She deadpanned, leaning on the counter with one hand as she looked down to the ten you had sent on the counter.
Your heart dropped and you sighed, crumbling the bill in your hand, “Is there another gas station around here?”
“Not for another fifty miles.”
“I don't know if we can make it that far. Do you know when you might get some more gas?”
“'Fraid those pumps haven't worked for the better part of five years.”
You let out a huff and chewed your bottom lip, “I- I don't, uh... I don't suppose you have any idea of what we could do?”
She let out a long sigh through her nose and rubbed the butt of her cigarette into the ash tray, “I can call the sheriff. I'm sure he won't mind taking you to the nearest station.” She punctuated her sentence by looking you up and down once again.
That implication made you more than a little uncomfortable, but knowing Carly and Brooke were with you was enough of a comfort let her call the man.
The lady turned to the phone behind her, spinning the dial as you tapped your foot impatiently.
You were looking around the station, taking in the old, dusty atmosphere as you waited for the sheriff to pick up on his end.
Flies buzzed, darting around the room as the dull lights flickered in the empty display fridge across the store, a couple of old wooden tables and matching chairs filling the space between it and the shelves.
A small radio sat stiff and silent on the table behind the counter, right beside the phone the lady was speaking into.
“Sure you ain't. And I don't know, only one of 'em came in.”
You balanced on the balls of your feet for a moment, letting out a short sigh as you finally tuned into the one side of the conversation you could hear.
“Watch your tone, boy.” Her voice was threatening as she pulled the phone away from her ear, “How many of y'all are there?”
Your brows furrowed as you stopped for a moment.
It was a bit of a strange question, but you supposed that he would need to know how many people he'd be driving, so you brushed it off and gave her an answer.
“Three, including me.”
“There's three of 'em.” She didn't acknowledge your answer as she continued speaking on the phone.
You pursed your lips as the faint sound of a loud man drifted from the phone, but you had no idea what the hell he could be saying.
“If you say so. I'll see you in a bit.” She finally responded before hanging up the phone and turning to you, “He says it'll be about five minutes.”
Hope blossomed in your chest as you thanked her profusely, “I'll go tell my friends.”
She didn't say anything as you hurried out the door, meeting Brooke and Carly at the car.
“The pump ain't workin', Y/N. What gives?” Brooke was repeatedly pulling the trigger as the pump sat in her gas tank.
“She said they don't have no gas, and the next station ain't for another fifty miles.”
“Oh, what the hell...” Carly groaned from the backseat where she had been laying out, sunglasses protecting her eyes from the harsh light.
“Don't worry, she called the sheriff and he's gonna come give us a ride!” You explained, climbing back into the passenger seat, “She said it'll only be five minutes.”
Brooke huffed as she put the pump back in place before climbing into the drivers seat, “Just our luck, eh?”
Carly shot up, beaming, “It could be! I bet the sheriff is an absolute hottie.”
You snickered, “In a place like this? He's probably a hundred years old!”
“Hey, Carly likes the gray foxes.” Brooke smirked, leaning back on her seat to face the two of you.
“Oh, sick.” She made a gagging face and grabbed her throat, “You are a freak, Brooke!”
“There's nothing wrong with an older guy!” You defended the idea, “They're more mature.”
“Oh, so you're the freak.” Brooke laughed, “It would be you, you've always been a weirdo.”
“True! Remember when we went to that haunted trail a few years ago and she hooked up with one of the zombies!?” Carly pointed out, making you groan.
“Don't remind me. He was such a clinger, I practically had to fake my own death to get him off my leg.”
The conversation continued flowing easily, as it always did between you three.
Before you knew it, the loud slamming of a car door caught your attention and halted your conversation as the three of you looked ahead to the sheriff's car parked some feet ahead of your car.
And older man began walking from the driver side, graying and white hair, a matching, thin, goatee stained by the dip he haphazardly spit to the ground.
“Oh, nasty.” Carly whispered, pulling a face, “He really is old.”
“Don't say that!” Brooke nudged her with her elbow before gesturing to you, “You'll give the old home's heartbreaker here a boner.”
You gently slapped her shoulder, “Shut it, he's coming this way.”
“Who's that in the passenger seat?” Carly asked no one in particular, sitting up further to get a closer look.
“Well, howdy there, ladies. What brings you to this little slice of paradise?” The sheriff drawled, a creepy smirk on his face as he finished crossing the path to Brooke's door, leaning a little too close for comfort.
“Just passing through, sir.” Brooke gave a tight smile, leaning back a little, “Ending up running out of gas.”\
He tsk'd a little, shaking his head, “Well, that just won't do, will it?”
You tried your best not to pull a face as your attention turned back to the sheriff's car, hearing the passenger door finally open and close.
Out stepped a man, much much different from the first person to emerge.
He was tall, towering over the car as he shuffled in place, head hanging low as his eyes stayed trained on the sheriff.
His long, black curls brushed against his shoulders, and seemed to be held down by the homemade mask covering his face, though you couldn't see any finer details from here.
He wore an old, dirty dress shirt, and black slacks to match, almost as if he were in his Sunday best, despite the stains and wrinkles adorning his clothes.
As you stared he seemed to notice, eyes darting to focus on you.
A deep heat flooded your cheeks as you flashed an awkward smile before shrinking into your seat, and mostly out of his line of sight. Staying up just enough to peek back out at him often.
“Oh, don't worry about it.” You tuned back into the sheriff, flashing his stained teeth as he finally stood straight again, “I'll just go in there and tell Mama to keep an eye on your stuff and then I'll take care of y'all.”
You could practically feel Carly shuddering as he stalked off towards the gas station directly across from your car.
“Thomas!” The man yelled as he reached the doorway, and you watched as he motioned the second man over before whispering something to him none of you could hear.
Assuming he was going back into the gas station, you turned back to your friends, who seemed to be avoiding looking at the gas station all together, thanks to the creepy sheriff.
“What a fuckin' sicko!” Brooke shuddered, “I don't want to go anywhere with him!”
Carly nodded, making a sick face, “Did you see the way he kept staring at our boobs? I don't trust him!”
“Who gives a shit what you guys are talking about.” You loudly interrupted their quiet complaints, “Did you see that second guy!?”
They both shook their heads, having been too focused on the creepy advances of the sheriff.
“Oh my god.” You groaned, running your hands down your face, “He was so fucking cute. I'm talking tall, dark, brooding, absolutely huge build. Guy looked like he lifts in his sleep.”
“Uh, you mean that guy, right there by the door, who can absolutely hear your bat shit talk?” Carly pointed to the man, who was standing a few feet away, completely avoiding looking at the car now.
You face dropped and you slunk into the seat, practically screaming, “NO, oh my god he must think I'm such a freak.”
“Um, you kind of are.” Brooke leaned down and whispered, “He's not that cute.”
“You are so stupid.” You let out a sigh, “That man looks like what every man wants to be.”
“Well, maybe he didn't hear you.” Carly offered a small smile, “Even though he definitely did.”
“Fuck.”
“Go talk to him.” Brooke nudged you.
“No way! I'm not looking to embarrass myself even more!”
“It's too late anyways.” Carly reluctantly gestured to the sheriff who was now returning.
Brooke rolled her eyes as she turned to climb out of the car, “Come on, girls.”
You sighed as you followed suit, Carly not far behind.
Brooke was the first to make her way to the sheriff's car, opting for the backseat, much to your and Carly's dismay.
Not even giving you a chance, Carly darted ahead, loudly announcing, “I'll sit with you, Brooke!”
You groaned, knowing it would be rude to try and insist to sit in the back as well.
You glanced back to the station door, noticing Thomas was coming over too. You sighed this time, hoping that he'd take the front seat, as he seemed to know the sheriff better.
But before that even became an option, you heard the loud protest of Brooke and Carly as they pulled faces at the open back door.
“There's stuff all over the backseat! We can't even fit.” Carly pointed out.
“Oh, yea.” The sheriff mused, “Well, c'mon then. Start grabbing stuff, we'll throw it in the trunk.”
He opened the trunk and your friends gave you looks as they started grabbing armfuls of various things crowding the backseat.
You finished walking to the car, planning on helping but walking slow so there hopefully wouldn't be anything left for you to grab.
Thomas was only a few steps behind you, watching as you stood beside the open back door, waiting on your friends.
His hands twitched, and his mind was torn.
His entire life he was ridiculed and bullied.
If not for his deformities and looks, than for his lack of education and inability to fully understand and control his emotions.
When people looked at him, they saw a monster. A freak.
But... You didn't.
You, a complete stranger, if even just for a minute, thought he was cute.
Cute enough to tell your friends and feel embarrassed by his opinion.
You treated him like a normal person, for a brief moment.
And he was hooked.
He craved more, more of that feeling. To have someone look at him like he was normal, like he was more than just a deformed monster hiding behind a mask.
He wanted to get your attention again, to selfishly hear your sweet voice say more kind things, things that no one had ever said before.
He stared holes into the back of your head, trying to will you to give him just a little more of your attention.
He thought you were beautiful too, and he wondered if you knew.
Could you tell, with the way he stared every chance he got?
God, he didn't even now your name, but he needed to. He would do anything to learn more about you, to keep you close and safe.
He was so lost in his own thoughts and emotions he didn't even notice how severe the situation had gotten between the sheriff and your friends until you darted forward.
Dangerous, dangerous, dangerous. His mind screamed, his hand shooting out to stop you.
The skin of your wrist was so soft compared to his calloused hands, he never wanted to let go.
He wondered if the rest of you was just as soft.
Your confused eyes flickered back to his own, questioning him without any words being spoken.
He shook his head, tightening his grip just enough to get his message across without hurting you.
You were his now. And he would give his life to protect you.

Cruising to a new life - Part 8
(Some may say at long last… sorry just been having a real bad time of getting motivated to write with work chaos ruling my life. Hopefully this won’t go so many months without a follow up…)
- - - -
I was roused from my sleep by the sound of my phone going off with a message. My sleep-addled brain immediately went to wonder who was messaging me until I realised that I was at sea, and we wouldn’t get mobile signal here. Jodie’s phone went off a second or two later, and that’s when we realised it was a shipwide message.
Picking up my phone, as Jodie did the same, we both looked at each other. “Adriana’s in labour” we both said to each other simultaneously.
The message was ship wide from Charles and said that Adriana had started having contractions at 5am that morning and wanted to start her video diary of her labour as soon as soon as she could. Over the course of the last 3 hours – checking my watch it was 8am – they have developed and became regular. She would like to invite everyone to the cinema to watch at their own convenience. Charles added at the end – it may be difficult viewing for some so individual discretion is advised. The standard cinema screenings would be put on hold whilst the video diary was being transmitted to the ship.
Jodie had already started tapping away on her phone. “Jess is going there right now, she’s been awake for an hour or two already.” Jodie’s hand rubbed her bump absentmindedly. “I’m sure this one has seen enough babies coming out of people now to get the hint… who knows we might be next.”
I kissed her. “We can only hope babe.” I laughed as I rolled out of bed and wandered over to the shower, the rush of water drowning out any other noise that could be heard.
As we got ourselves presentable and headed down to the cinema we realised just how popular this ‘event’ was going to be. We had to wait for 3 different lifts to arrive as the crowds were filling them as they passed but eventually we managed, with a sigh of relief, to get inside the lift car as the doors shut in front of us with a ding.
As we entered into the cinema we were greeted with a who knows how many hundred inch view of Adriana’s face as she was kneeling in a birthing tub, arms crossed on the edge as she looked into the camera and was narrating away.
“The labour pains are frequent but manageable. I’ve been using gas and air to take away the worst of it. Charles has been a welcome distraction and my dear Miguel has been his ever professional self throughout.” She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, we presumed this was a signal that a contraction had started, all but guaranteed by the hum escaping her mouth.
We noticed she still had on some sort of top covering in the pool, a sports bra or similar, but with her proclivity for nakedness we had to wonder how long that would stay on. Jodie even turned to me and whispered “do you think she has knickers on?” Which I’ll admit did bring a little chuckle.
We spied Jess and headed over that way as she was sitting in one of the comfy seats, with her hand rubbing her belly absentmindedly she hadn’t even noticed us approaching. Jodie sat down next to her and it was only as she realised there was a space occupied did Jess even acknowledge our arrival.
“Something up?” I asked, noticing she was paying special attention to her midsection.
“I think I might be in labour” Jess talk-whispered loud enough that we could hear but hoping it won’t carry. “But Miguel is obviously otherwise occupied… as you can see” she gestured to the screen where Jess’s lover could be seen wheeling over the bottle of gas and air and handing the mouthpiece to Adriana.
“If you are, you’re going to need to be seen” Jodie admonished, a little shocked that Jess would put the health of herself and her baby in place of the promise that Miguel made to deliver her baby.
“I will, I mean she looks worse off that me, my contractions are only light. We might get to watch this baby be born then I get in right on after” she giggled at least showing her sense of humour wasn’t affected.
I took a moment to change the subject “is your mum coming?” I asked. Jess shook her head.
“She’s not had much sleep what with the baby and me pacing around for hours” again another dirty look from Jodie “so she’s decided to nap when she can. It’s not like me trying to learn something, she’s done it a couple of times now…”
“… and you’ll experience it first hand soon” interrupted Jodie, still not letting the subject lie.
“Yup” grimaced Jess as she pulled her dress tight to her bump and we both saw it change shape, almost becoming oblong as the contraction gripped at Jess and squeezed. It stayed that way for a good minute until it returned to its normal shape and she started breathing normally again. We both looked completely gobsmacked as this event unfolded only a few feet from us.
Jess pulled her phone out from her bag as she tapped a message. We couldn’t see what she wrote but turned to see Miguel in the background on the big screen pick up his phone and tap something, only to hear Jess’s phone buzz a moment later. It was clear they were talking at least.
Jodie huffed in resignation knowing she wasn’t getting Jess to move anywhere so offered her hand for her cruise mate to hold as we all turned towards the big screen.
Adriana was getting out of the pool aided by both Charles and Miguel, her soaked body raising up. Jodie won the bet, she had nothing on from her waist down. As she stepped over the wall of the birthing pool she announced to the camera “I’ll ask Miguel to check my progress then I want to labour outside the pool a little. Movement is very important. You shouldn’t feel constrained to any one place, keep moving, your baby… and hips… will thank you for it.”
Charles brought over a towel and wrapped it around his wife, patting her down and getting rid of as much of the excess water as he could. After both were satisfied, she plodded over to the bed where she lifted her bum up onto it and swung her legs around so she had them splayed open to the camera with everything on display. This brought a few unexpected gasps from the onlooking crowd but from what I knew of Adriana from the few days I had known her, this wasn’t exactly unexpected.
She narrated again as Miguel gloved up a hand and applied some gel to his fingers. “Miguel will enter his fingers into me and he can feel how much my cervix has dilated. It was previously at 5cm but I’m hoping for more” she said as she shuffled back on the bed. She held her breath and breathed a out as Miguel put his hand between his sisters legs, the camera man following around to catch the examination in detail. Miguel’s fingers had all but disappeared when he abounded “you’re at 6. You’re progressing.” That was when Jess gripped Jodie’s hand tight as another contraction assaulted her middle, catching her off guard.
Over the course of the next 3 hours or so the cinema was somewhat abuzz with activity. Some families came and sat for an hour or two, but most seemed to tire of watching the stream eventually, some rejoined it again after leaving for food or some other activities. Some had babies with them at this point and when they got fussy they left the auditorium to save spoiling things for others.
We however, sat enraptured. I had to pop out for food to make sure we kept our growling stomachs satisfied – and it was during one of these trips out that Jess announced she was going back to her room, the confines of the seat too much for her. Having witnessed Adriana going through a particularly tough contraction, and it being echoed in parallel by Jess just next to us, Jodie made sure that I escorted her back to the lifts.
I’ll be honest and say it was the slowest walk of my life. Jess firstly wanted to go outside for fresh air, but had a plodding walk along the deck and stopped 3 times. I asked if each were contractions but she shook her head. “I’m just big” she laughed looking out to sea and resting against a railing.
“It might not be appropriate, but damn it, can you rub my back please?” She asked, almost groaning. I’m guessing that was a contraction. I did as I was asked, knowing fine well comfort was more important than decorum at times like this. It had the desired effect, Jess’s groan turning into something a lot happier sounding as I rubbed her back.
“Now right down the bottom squeeze my hips.” I realised she was echoing something she watched Adriana do when coping with a contraction, though in her case she was on all fours in the tub and Charles was knee deep in the water behind her. Thankfully Jess didn’t try and get down on all fours mid deck.
“Oh that’s the good stuff. You remember this for Jodie, because this right here is golden” Jess surprisingly had all but lost the sound of pain in her voice and seemed to be coping a lot better after my ministrations. She moved off soon after and we returned indoors to the lift, pressing the button. A few moments later Jess gave me a hug as she stepped inside. I wished her good luck in case I didn’t see her again as the door closed in front of me.
I dashed back to the auditorium to meet up with Jodie again and relayed what had happened with Jess. She in turn explained that Adriana had now not spoken for at least 10 minutes, she was more lost in her contractions than anything, even going so bad as to be yowling in pain as she goes through them. She seemed to be having it real tough – perhaps, we thought, much tougher than she expected. Jodie did confide in me that she was worried about going overdue and finding the baby be too big to push out. I told her that it’s really unlikely, and in all of the birth videos we had watched together – and let me tell you it was a lot – we had never seen anyone struggle as much as Adriana seemed to be doing at the moment.
We had lost sight of Jess for over an hour at this point and to be frank we were starting to wonder if she was still in her room with her mum or if she’d moved on to delivery by now. On the screen in front of us, Adriana was not doing so well. Her attempts at being a calm, collected labouring mother were long gone as the tears streamed down her face and she yelled out with abandon. She was presumably deep in transition now, her pains seemingly all but on top of each other but Charles was there to support her, rubbing her back, getting in close and whispering what we presume were affirmations to her ear as she struggled.
Adriana was on her knees in the pool with her arms crossed on the edge, alternating between her forehead and her chin resting on her arms. We were presuming there was no sign of the baby and she wasn’t pushing as the cameraman was stoicly sat in front of her - last time he moved around the pool was to catch Miguel leaning in over the edge of the to check her progress where he announced she was 8cm and nearly there. We don’t know if Adriana actually realised in her state.
Suddenly we see Miguel’s phone ring and he answered it. Whilst we could only see his half of the conversation on camera we guessed the other participant would be Jess by the context of the conversation.
“So soon? Ok please tell me you don’t need to push just yet…. Oh good can you get here? Ok I can’t leave Adi just yet, she’s struggling…. Yes baby I know you are too. Come up here and I’ll let you in. Get here by my room… ok take it slow and ring when you get here I’ll dash through.”
Charles looked up with a quizzical look. “Jess?” he enquired.
“Jess” confirmed Miguel.
That caused Charles to sigh. “I need you to look after your sister she is struggling more than I expected.”
We weren’t expecting to see some sort of family argument playing out on the big screen in front of us but here it was. Miguel took control though “I know what I’m doing. Let me do my job. 2 babies at once is unfortunate but nothing I can’t handle especially when they’re both in the same room and I can keep track of each of them together.”
Charles nodded. “So be it, you’re the expert.” You could tell he wasn’t exactly pleased at the prospect though.
“It’s my decision” confirmed Miguel as he walked off camera.
Charles did what he could to explain the situation to Adriana in a moment of lucidity between contractions and to give his wife her due, she nodded, presumably confirming understanding as she went back to putting her forehead on her arms and letting out a sorrowful moan as the next contraction picked up.
Miguel came back on camera leading Jess by the hand a few moments later. We were somewhat of a close knit community on the ship so there’s a chance that the unexpected arrival was known to many, but Miguel offered no explanation to the camera he just lead her off screen to the other side. Some murmurs were heard in the cinema so perhaps not everyone knew our friend and the relationship she was developing with Miguel.
Charles looked up at the camera and said “Adriana please” - presumably he was being asked who the camera should focus on, the directional mic masking the voice behind the camera.
In the background of the shot - the pool in the foreground and the bed in the back - Miguel had unzipped Jess’s dress and lifted it over her head. She was dressed in a sports bra and light blue maternity panties which came up the underside of her bump, but what was most obvious about them was the dark patch between her legs. We could only presume her waters had broke and she panicked resulting in the phone call.
She didn’t seem in much distress - at least compared to Adriana - as she had her underwear dropped to the floor by Miguel, resting her hands on his shoulders as she stepped out of them. She lifted her bra off herself then flung her arms around Miguel’s shoulders and practically fell into him as she groaned herself.
Miguel, in response could be heard saying “breathe, pant through it. Don’t push! Let me check your progress first” and it was obvious that Jess was much more progressed along her labour journey than what Adriana was at this point in time.
Jess managed to form words around her grunts. “I’m trying baby, it’s too hard, the baby is right there, he’s going to come out…” it ended with a yell. She seemed to squat down a little hanging deeper off his shoulders.
Adriana in turn looked up to the camera then to the side calling for Charles. He dashed around to the front blocking the view of the cameraman, who stepped to the side, taking Jess and Miguel out of shot.
“Charles, Charles… the head. I can feel it, it’s stretching me. I need to push! I need to push!” She was frantic, her hands reaching out to grab Charles’s who in turn held them tight.
“Miguel, she needs to push! Can she push!” Bellowed Charles, concern for his wife etched on his face.
Miguel yelled out “Pant Adi, don’t give in, I’ll be there in a moment… and DONT PUSH!” He emphasised the last part. The cameraman panned over taking Adriana and Charles out of the shot to focus on Miguel and Jess as he was helping her up on the bed and unceremoniously poked 2 fingers between her legs. “Jess, baby. You’re good push when you’re ready. I need to check on Adi a moment.”
Jess’s eyes grew wide and she was about to yell out something about him staying with her as she suddenly curled over and lay on her side on the bed, hooking one leg back - the primal need to push had taken over.
Miguel looked distraught his eyes darting between his sister and lover but he knew Adi needed him more right that second. As the cameraman followed Miguel he bound the few steps it took to get over to the pool to check on Adriana.
He checked her over and confirmed she was at 10cm dilation also and could push when she was ready. Her first attempt was met with a wailing, sorrowful sound but Miguel congratulated her. “That’s it, you’re doing the right thing. Keep that jaw loose. Make as much noise as you need, it really helps things along.”
He looked up to Jess and she was doing somewhat the opposite. Chin to her chest, her face going beet red with effort, she pulled her leg back so far it was squashing tight against her belly, her knee essentially meeting her nipple. Miguel shook his head as he asked Charles to keep Adi focused on pushing and went back to looking after Jess.
“Release, release baby. Breathe, breathe, breathe” he chanted at Jess as his hand met her knee. She gasped and let go of her leg. “Remember the baby needs oxygen. Big gulps of air between pushes. No more than 10 seconds each one.” Jess nodded understanding and gasped a lungful of air as she resumed the position. “Good… good. That’s it. Now breathe!”
Jess gasped and was left panting. “Is that the contraction over?” Asked Miguel. Jess nodded. “Good, take a moment to relax.”
“Is she ok?” Asked Jess, looking over to Adriana.
“She’s good. Struggling a bit, but she’ll get there. Let me worry about her and you worry about yourself and this little one” he said gently resting a hand on Jess’s belly. “I know this isn’t what you wanted, but baby’s come at the time they want and often ruin peoples plans. Just know I’m here for you but I also need to look after my sister.”
Jess nodded understanding as the need to push came back on her. “Good” said Miguel enthusiastically “you’ve got the hang of it, remember to breathe!” As he left her to return to Adriana.
Adriana in turn had flopped back into more of a sitting position in the pool. She had braced her feet against indents in the sides and held on to bars designed to give leverage. Charles had moved back into position behind his wife as the camera was front and centre catching her spread legged position in the main shot. However we could still see Jess in the background taking part in her own battle as Miguel dashed from lady to lady to try and give each as much support as he could.
Jess was the first to crown. The camera of course wasn’t focused on it but we could still see the action happening. Jess’s pushing was much more inward and grunting, Adriana yelling and screeching with each contraction. We saw her lips part and the head come out in about a 2 minute window, Jess giving her own yelp of pain as the head was born. Miguel kept up her spirits with affirmations and coaching then suddenly with a grunt and gush of fluid we watched as Jess’s baby was pushed out and placed on her chest. The sound of a crying baby in the room rang louder than even Adriana’s wails and she stopped, desperately trying to turn around to see what was going on behind her, but her body not letting her.
Adriana’s moment of respite was short lived as she went back into pushing. At this point her lips were bulging outward to show the shape of the head that was so near, yet seemingly so far from being born. She grunted and yelled, and ironically it was the cameraman who yelled out from behind the camera “I can see baby’s hair.”
This seemed to buoy Adriana, who actually smiled, but that smile turned into a grimace as the next contraction forced her to push again. Her lips parted and sure enough the auditorium could clearly see the dark patch between her legs. Charles rubbed her shoulders telling her she was doing great and to keep it up, but what he didn’t see from the room was the collective ‘aww’ we all gave as we saw the head sink back out of view as the contraction let up.
Now admittedly we all knew that this was the process and how it would take several pushes for the head to crown… but for Adriana who was struggling so much it felt like a cruel irony.

My Fasting Experience: Low Blood Sugar Moments and How I Handled Them
Fasting can be a tricky journey. At times, it feels like walking a tightrope. It’s not just about skipping meals; it’s about tuning into what your body is saying. I started my fasting experience hoping for clarity and health. Little did I know, I'd face some surprising low blood sugar moments that shook me up! Here’s how I navigated through the bumps and found my footing.
Understanding the Ups and Downs of Fasting
Fasting often feels like an adventure. You think you’re on solid ground, but then—bam! Your blood sugar drops. Moments like these can feel alarming. Suddenly, you're weak, dizzy, or even lightheaded. It left me wondering: How did I get here?
When you fast, your body is running on empty fuel. It’s like trying to drive a car on fumes. Eventually, you hit a wall. This happened to me on several occasions. I realized that understanding my body’s signals was key to managing those low points.
Recognizing the Signs of Low Blood Sugar
Low blood sugar can sneak up on you. At first, it might just feel like a little fatigue. The next thing you know, you're staring at your feet, wishing the ground would steady itself. I started recognizing my signs: the shaky hands, the foggy brain, and that annoying little sweat on my forehead.
Each of these signs was a warning bell. It’s like my body was sending me a text message saying, "Hey, pay attention!" The trick was learning to listen and react before things got serious.
Quick Fixes to Raise Blood Sugar Levels
When low blood sugar hit, I needed solutions fast. I learned to keep a stash of easy snacks nearby. Something as simple as a piece of fruit or a bite of granola could make a world of difference. It was like pulling a parachute cord when free-falling. Instant relief!
I kept small packets of honey in my bag. They’re tasty, easy to carry, and bring up my sugar levels quickly. It’s amazing how a little sweetness can turn your day around!
Planning My Meals to Avoid Low Moments
Planning became crucial in my fasting routine. I started mapping out my meals, making sure I had enough nutrients to fuel my body. Eating wholesome meals before starting a fast was like filling my gas tank to full before a long trip. I wanted to avoid running out of fuel halfway.
I learned the importance of including proteins, fats, and fiber. These kept me feeling full longer and helped maintain steady blood sugar levels. It’s all about building a foundation that can handle the ups and downs.
Finding Balance Through Fasting
Fasting is all about balance. There were days when I hit those low points, but they were also days filled with learning. Each experience taught me more about my body and its signals.
It’s not just about the act of fasting itself; it’s about how to balance your body’s needs with your goals. I found that adjusting my approach and listening closely helped me handle those low blood sugar moments better.
Conclusion: Embracing the Journey
My fasting experience was filled with highs and lows. The low blood sugar moments were unexpected challenges, but also valuable lessons. I learned to listen, prepare, and react. Instead of fearing these moments, I embraced them as part of the journey.
So, if you’re thinking about fasting, keep in mind that it’s a personal adventure. You may face your own struggles, but with a little preparation and awareness, you'll find your way. Fasting isn’t just about food—it's about understanding your body and embracing the experience!

The Good, The Bad, and the Undead
Season 1: Episode 3
Context: The truth is out. You have to leave your humble abode behind. You run into a figure of your past, who was thought to be long dead.
1k
F1 apocalypse masterlist
"FERNANDO" You call out as you walk towards the man who has just arrived on his motorcycle, "We need to talk."
He all but grunts, he knows this conversation is inevitable, it must happen. After all, Fernando knows that you deserve to know the truth, he knows that even though you're young, you are smart and capable.
"Alright, can't keep you in the dark forever. Vayamos adentro (Let's go inside)." Fernando says.
Carlos and Charles are also called inside, as their sparring lesson comes to an end. You are all seated on the dining table, a thick air of tension is in the atmosphere, just waiting to be cut by someone. Fernando takes that step and begins,
"I have been telling you all the half truth." He pauses then continues, "Every time I go out, there have been more and more of these monsters, around our perimeter. We may need to leave soon or we'll be overrun."
You did have a rising suspicion that this may be the case but hearing it, you felt your stomach drop and disappointment seep in. You finally thought you wouldn't have to move anymore, finally a place you could call home. Should've known that in this world, home is nothing but a distant dream, you thought to yourself.
"Carlos, llévalos y sal a hacer compras, yo empacaré todas las municiones y cosas necesarias para el camino y será mejor que nos pongamos en marcha pronto (Carlos, take them and go out for a grocery run, i'll pack all ammo and stuff needed for the road and we better get moving soon)." Fernando instructs Carlos as you sit still thinking, mentally preparing yourself for the exhaustion that is to come in these days of travelling, reminiscing the horrifying memories of when you were on your own, fighting to survive and barely making it, if the two spanish men hadn't found you.
A tap on your arm gets you back to reality, it's Charles. He seems to notice your mood and the anxious look on your face. While Carlos goes to prepare the car and Fernando gone to pack all essentials for the road, you two are the only ones left at the table.
"You okay?" Charles asks you tentatively.
"I..." You are at a loss for words. You honestly don't know if you are okay. "I am just so tired Charles. I was by myself for quite some time moving from place to place in some hope of finding someone alive. I would have died if they had not found me."
"Listening to you, I can't help think of what my little brother is going through. Hell I don't even know if he's alive, I just want to find him." Charles says wearily, putting his head in his hands.
You put your hand on his back soothingly and envelope him in a hug, in hopes of comforting him. Before you can say something, you're interrupted by Carlos, "Get ready. We have to leave so-" He pauses a moment analysing the position you and Charles are in,"Am I interrupting something?" He says through gritted teeth in hopes of hiding his burning jealousy.
You guys part and get up from your chairs. "I'll get my sword." You say as you leave the two men alone, with tension brewing in the air to which you are oblivious to. As you take your katana and come downstairs to see the two men still waiting.
The car is so silent and you can definitely sense the tension between the two men now.
"Soooo..." You begin but you're not sure of what to say.
"So?" They both say at the same time.
"Do you reckon we'll run into someone alive on the road?" You ask.
Carlos speaks up first, "It would be unlikely, if people are alive they would likely be hiding. I mean no one would be stupid enough to be roaming around."
You and Charles silently agree to his words. They're likely dead or zombies, you both think dejectedly to yourselves.
As you arrive to the desolate gas station, while Carlos is keeping watch and filling up gas in the car, you and Charles go inside to scavenge for food items.
When you're done, you suddenly hear a some commotion outside. You guys carefully go outside to find Carlos with a gun pointed towards him, the man, with shoulder length blond hair who is pointing the gun, has his back faced to you. You indicate to Charles to pull out his gun but stay hidden as you quickly pull out your katana, tread lightly towards the man and place the sharp blade right in front of neck, lightly nicking the man's throat.
"If you even attempt to move, I will slice your throat." You threaten the man.
He seems to be muttering something in german and you get a strong sense of familiarity from this man.
You feel as though you know him but how?
"Schatz is that you?" The man says.
Your eyes widen, there's only one man who calls you that, a man you thought was long dead.
"Seb?" That's all you can say as you drop your sword on the ground.
The man, Seb, turns around and you quickly envelop him in a hug. He reciprocates the action. You start to break down and soak his blue shirt with your tears. While Charles comes out of his hiding place, he and Carlos both are staring at you and this Seb.
Who is this man and what is his relation with you?

Your Guardian Angel(Or Devil) P1
You're an average young woman, just trying to live your life. After almost meeting your untimely demise one night, you're saved by a foul-mouthed divine being who claims to be your Guardian Angel, AND the first man.
OR; Adam is your Guardian Angel who swoops in to save you when you need it, and also pesters you whenever he feels like it. This arrangement is fun for neither of you.
Cross Posted on AO3!
Warnings: Swearing, suggestive comments, Adam being Adam.....
Words: ~7K
May end up being a two parter because that's all I have ideas for, but definitely down to write more of Reader and Adam together if you all wanna send me ideas here or on my AO3! Enjoy!
P1 | P2 | P3
Today had, certainly, been one of the days of all time.
It had started off with the coffee maker essentially breaking. You’d managed to get about half of a cup of the normal amount of coffee you made while you were throwing together some breakfast for yourself. When you’d went over to investigate to try brewing again, nothing was happening. If the red, soulless, blinking light on your maker was anything to go by, it was that the damned thing had died.
With a sigh, you ended up pouring an overabundance of your preferred mix-in while eating your quick little breakfast. You were already running a bit behind. In a rush to finish getting ready, you’d ended up smudging a bit of the lipstick you had put on, forcing you to be even more behind as you needed to clean it off and reapply anything necessary.
You’d finally grabbed your bag and were out the door, and when you got in your car, saw that you were nearly out of gas. You tried to think; What in the Hell would compel you to leave your car on nearly empty and not fill up after work? It was then, you recalled, wanting to catch the season finale of a show last night with your friend. You’d hurried home, and had just said to yourself you’d wake up early this morning and fill up before going to work.
Of fucking course today had to be the day you woke up a bit later after staying up unusually late last night. A groan split from your throat, rubbing your temple with two fingers. You hadn’t packed a lunch, either, so guess you were going hungry most of the day beside some of the snacks in your drawer. You wouldn’t have enough time to get gas and lunch on your break. At this point, all you could do was pray that you’d be able to make it to a gas station after work. You did have an… Unconventional guardian angel, after all, so surely it would all work out…
Speaking of guardian angel…
“Yo, I don’t know if you can, uh, hear me right now… I mean, I assume you can, if you’re, like, kinda omnipotent or whatever, but… Try and make my day a little better, alright?” You said, somewhat awkwardly to the empty air around you in your car as you drove to work. No response. You felt like a mad woman.
With a sigh, you just continued your drive. Finding parking at the office went awful, no surprise, and you walked in about seven minutes after you were supposed to clock in. Your boss didn’t say anything, but the stare given to you was enough to know that your tardiness was apparent. All you could do right now was just keep your head down and check your emails from your clients and work diligently.
Thankfully, the day was going by smoothly… So far. Besides needing to put a fire via email, and your pencil cup holder being somehow knocked over twice mysteriously(you sent a glare over your shoulder every time but didn’t see anyone), you had nothing else to complain about. That was, until just before lunch, you felt a cramp. At first, you thought it was a hunger pain, and tried to shift to brush it off. The more you cramped, though, you felt it lower in your gut, and your heart sank. No shot, your cycle wasn’t supposed to be for another few days!
You cursed to yourself, deciding to take an early lunch to check. You shuffled through your drawer to see if you had anything– Tampons, pads, a cup, something to try and stop the flow while you were at work. Nothing. Great. You grumbled to yourself, getting up to head to the bathroom. The company you worked for was fairly small, the middle ground between a small business owner and a blossoming corporation, so nothing for feminine sanitation was available in either bathrooms.
Sitting down in the restroom, you shucked your pants and underwear down, groaning at the sight of a faint bit of blood splattering your underwear. “Motherfu…” Your grumble trailed off whilst you suppressed the urge to rub at your face in frustration. Instead, you just made a rather unsavory hand gesture with both of your hands to nobody in particular. Well, actually, yes there was somebody in particular, but you couldn’t see him right now. You weren’t even sure if he could see you, but it certainly made you feel better.
Stifling a groan, you wrapped some toilet paper around your underwear to try and soak up anything for now. After you were redressed and hands were washed, you headed back to your desk to eat a measly granola bar and some dried fruit, before clocking back in and continuing on with your day.
After getting yelled at over the phone by a client for something that wasn’t even your fault, as well as accidentally spilling some water over your keyboard while staying late, work was over for the day. You were just looking forward to going home, taking a nice, hot shower, and watching whatever brain rot you decided to indulge in tonight. Maybe with some ice cream. You were once more reminded, though, that you needed to get gas in your car once you got in and started it up. The nearest gas station wasn’t incredibly close, so you were biting your lip the entire time you drove there.
You nearly slumped in relief when you saw it right around the corner, but any relief that was in your veins washed away as you pulled up just inside of the parking lot, and your car began to roll. You pushed on the gas rapidly, but nothing was happening. “Fuck. Fuckfuckfuck–” You began to freak out, before relaxing somewhat. It would just… Roll to one of the pumps, right? Wrong, apparently. Oh, so, very wrong. There was a slight incline upwards to the gas pumps, and to your horror, the car started to even roll backwards.
“No!” You gasped, quickly putting it into park. You took in a small, shuddering breath, putting it back into drive as you tried to push on the gas again. Nothing. You’d run out literally right inside the gas station lot. Due to leaving work later than normal because of not only coming in late, but needing to deal with an unruly client, nobody else was here at the moment. Nobody could help you. For what felt like the umpteenth time that day, another groan left your lips as your head slammed back against the carseat head.
With now an annoyed snarl, you pushed open your car door, slamming it as you walked around to the back of your car after putting it in neutral. “Okay… Okay, I can do this… Just a small nudge up the hill… It’s barely a hill, too, it’s fine, I can move a couple hundred… Thousand…” You uttered to yourself, trying to hype up as you shifted foot from foot. After some brief stretching, you placed your hands on the back of your car, beginning to slowly push it. Or, well, at least try to push it. You were so focused on your task, you didn’t even notice a figure pop up beside you.
“‘Sup.” Adam greeted, causing you to gasp and nearly slip and fall in surprise.
“Adam! Good God you have shitty timing.” You groaned, slumping against the back of your car. You were already exhausted and you hadn’t even been trying to push for two minutes!
“Hey, what’d I say? Good girls only get into Heaven by not using the Lord’s name in vain.” He drawled, boredly, leaning against the side of your car as he looked over his nails. Well, more aptly, his fingers. He had gloves on, after all, so obviously it was just for show, and it just irritated you more. About to bite out a response, he beat you to it by finally surveying the situation. “Pfffft–” Came from him as he grinned, before he started to laugh, backing away from your car and pointing at you. “What– What the fuck are you doing? Did you run out of gas?”
“S-Shut up!” You snapped, face flushing warm in embarrassment as he laughed at you, but he didn’t yield. You stomped your foot in irritation, a small whine leaving your throat as you realized just how stupid the whole situation was. “It’s not funny!”
“Hah– Haha– I hate to tell you, sugartits, but it’s actually hilarious.” He finally calmed down, wiping an invisible tear from his face with a sigh and smug smile, putting his hands on his hips. He didn’t seem to be phased by your anger at all. “Aww, you’re so cute when you’re mad.” He inched towards you, ignoring your seething expression as he patted your head. “Like a wittle angwy kitty–”
“Fuck you.” You snarled out, slapping his hand away as you turned back to your car, and he was the one who scoffed like he’d been offended. The nerve. “Some fuckin’ angel you are, laughing at my misery.” You grouse, turning back to your vehicle, placing your hands on the back once more.
He just offers a roll of his eyes. Or, well, what appears to be a roll with the incline he makes with his head. He doesn't have pupils, after all. “Babes, it’s not the first time I have, and it’s definitely not gonna be the last.” Comes his response, and he seems once more impassive to the glare you send him before you focus back ahead. “I mean, c’mon, I already gotta look after your ass, I wanna get some amusement out of it. Speaking of looking at ass…” You’re bent forward again, trying to push the car forward with all of your might. You did manage to roll it maybe a few inches, but it once again left you exhausted. You caught Adam looking at your butt with an appreciative view on his face. “You should wear shorter skirts–” He begins to speak, but you cut him off this time.
“Don’t you have something better to do?” You snip, bristling at his suggestive commentary as you stand here and struggle your way forward. “If you’re just going to stand there and be inappropriate, then will you kindly piss off?” You huff, looking back at your car once more.
“Fine, be a cunt, see if I care.” He scoffs out in response, flipping you the bird as he turns away. It’s then, suddenly, you realize maybe work has really dulled your mind. He’s your guardian angel, it’s his job to help you!
“Wait, wait!” You sigh out, exasperated, as you turn and grab for him, thankful he didn’t just poof away yet. You reach for his robes, but end up grabbing one of his wings as they flared out, yanking back.
“Ow, bitch, watch the feathers!” He snarls out, turning on you with a glare of his own. He draws his wing over to him, brushing his hand against it with a sneer as he looks down at you. “The fuck you want? Want to apologize for your bratty behavior?” He huffs, and you can’t suppress a roll of your eyes, try as you might.
“No, I’d like your help in pushing my car up to a pump.” You’re growing more and more weary by the minute. How has literally nobody else pulled into the gas station? At this point, maybe you should just ask the worker inside to help you. He just crosses his arms, raising a brow at your request.
“And why should I help you?” He decides to play coy, and you grit both your jaw and hands into fists.
“Because you’re my guardian angel! You’re literally supposed to help me!” Comes your snappy response, and he taps a finger to his chin, pondering with a ‘hmmm’, as if actually thinking about your response.
“Mmm… Yeah, nah, babes, not how that works. What part of ‘guardian’ do you not fuckin’ understand? You want a dictionary, bitch?” He snaps his fingers, the thick book appearing in his hand in a puff of golden dust as he offers it out to you. “Why don’t you look up the definition of it and study up?” You eye twitches as you none too kindly shove his arm away from you that offers you the dictionary.
“I know what it means, I don’t need to look it up!” You hiss out. You’re almost on the verge of tears, now, as the frustration burns through your entire being. You’re hungry, cramping and aching, and stressed out about this whole thing. You’re not sure if Adam seems to notice this, with the slight way you see the hard edges around his smug grin soften some. Either he doesn’t care or notice, though, as you continue on. “I could be in danger! I-I mean, if I don’t move the car, someone will pull forward, and if they don’t pay attention they could run right into me! Then I would be hurt! And maybe even die!” You emphasize with a wave of your hands.
He doesn’t seem very moved by your speech, the book disappearing from his hands as he crosses his arms once more. “Mm… Kay, then I’ll just pluck you out of the way. I mean, I don’t see what you’re getting at here, ‘tits. Sounds like you want me to do all the work for your fuck up.” He motions lazily with a hand towards the car, and boy if you weren’t ready to burst into tears before, you are now, because, honestly? He’s right. You’re the reason you’re in this mess. He’s clearly soaking up your suffering as well, a sly smile slowly spreading across his features as he sees you try to blink back tears of frustration.
He finally takes some pity on you. Well, what Adam would consider pity, at least. “What’s in it for me, huh?” He leers, taking a step over you. He towers over you easily, inhumanly tall. Whereas it intimidated you at first, now? It just pisses you off more, because it’s something else he has to lord over you. You don’t know why he does when he’s already some super powerful angel, according to him, but he clearly likes to put you in your place. Remind you you’re just some mortal human in a realm of other, shitty mortal humans.
So, when he asks what he gets out of this, you’re at a loss. You open your mouth, closing it, frowning. What could you offer someone like Adam? You peer up at him, not liking the way that sly grin on his face grows, somewhat leering even, now. “Well… What do you want?” You finally ask, and immediately regret it as his hand comes down to grope your ass. You squeak, more so from the grip than surprise, because really, you shouldn’t be surprised. “Something that’s not part of my body! I’m on my period, too.” You huff out, face and ears burning, and he immediately makes a face and retracts his hand.
“Hmmm…” He rubs his chin in thought, actual thought now, as he turns to pace. His wings are tucked back under his arms, which you keep meaning to ask it about because truthfully, you find it adorable. You didn’t think angels presented their wings like that, but it makes some sense. “Oh! What was that, fucking uuuhhh… Ice cream thing with the fudge in the middle? With all that candy shit on top?” He snaps his fingers, looking back at you. You draw a blank, briefly, before recognizing what he’s talking about.
“You mean… A blizzard?” You ask, slowly, and he grins, nodding eagerly.
“Yeah, yeah! Buy me one of those and I guess we’ll call it the start to being even.” He states, and your eye twitches again.
“The ‘start’?” You emphasize, and Adam just waves his hand dismissively.
“Yeah, yeah, don’t worry, the other thing I phone in will be somethin’ simple. Promise promise.” He insists, and at this point, you’re so desperate you don’t question it. You did say you wanted ice cream, after all… You’re also sure he wouldn’t ask for anything absurd either.
“...Fine.” You relent, motioning him over as you make some room to push the car once more. He pushes you out of the way, though, with one of his brilliantly golden wings, causing you to sputter as some of the feathers poke into your mouth and nostrils.
“Get in the car, bitch. Guide us over to a pump.” He orders, and a huff leaves you, but you don’t resist. You’ll gladly take sitting in the car and turning the wheel over pushing with massive manual labor. Once in the driver's seat, you begin to turn the wheel enough to pull into one of the pump stations. Adam is… Freakishly strong, to no surprise, and it honestly feels like you’re actually driving with how fast the car is going. Driving at an incredibly slow speed, but one nonetheless. When you finally stop at a pump, you put the car in park with a sigh, feeling significantly more relieved and less stressed.
You get out, locking it up as you head for the gas station store. “Uh, you’re fuckin’ welcome!” You hear Adam scoff, and you suppress a roll of your eyes if only because he did actually help you out.
“Thank you, Adam.” You relent, turning around. “So very kind of you, I would be at a loss without you.” Is tacked on at the end, and he just smirks, strutting over to you.
“I know. I’m the best. Doncha forget it, sugartits.” He responds as a sigh leaves you.
“You want a snack?” You offer out, deciding to play nice, and he grins.
“Uh, fuck yes.” He agrees, perking up even more as you both walk into the convenience store. You decide to get an electrolyte drink for yourself, since you’re feeling awfully thirsty and tired. Adam grabs some beef jerky, and as you go to the counter to pay, he speaks up. “Shit, wait, hold on– I want those cheesy crackers.” He states, and you roll your eyes but wait as the cashier rings up your other items. You hold your hand out as Adam comes back over, taking the bag in your hand to offer up to the cashier, digging through your wallet to get out something to pay
When you realize the bag hasn’t been taken out of your hand, you look up, confused. The cashier looks at you, his eyes wide, mouth agape. “Um…” You shift, awkwardly. Did you have something on your face?
“The fuck is this guy’s problem?” The angel barks out behind you, and you set the bag down, watching the cashier’s eyes follow it incredulously. Your brow furrows, before you suddenly put two and two together.
“Oh, shit,” You utter out in realization. Adam had given you that bag. And you were the only one who could see Adam. Oh God, that isn’t good.
“This guy have shit-for-brains? Seriously, if he stares any longer, he’s gonna start drooling, and–” You shift your leg back, pressing down somewhat firmly onto Adam’s foot. “Hey, bitch, watch where you’re stepping! You just–” You turn around to face him, but purposefully look right through him. Towards where he’d grabbed the bag, and then you tap it slightly. You hope he can get it through his thick skull what you’re trying to imply. “...Ooohhh…” It finally dawns on him, his eyes widening as he looks at the isle, and then at you, then at the worker. “Oh, shit.” He echoes you, before he briskly moves you aside again with his arm. “Move, bitch, let me handle this.”
He stands in front of the worker, snapping his fingers in front of the cashier’s face, a puff of golden dust emanating from his hand. The other human blinks, a glazed look coming over his eyes as he stares at nothing in particular now. “Okay, let’s go, he won’t remember a thing.” Adam urges, and you stutter. You barely have time to slap down some money on the counter and grab your things before you’re shuffled outside. You’re antsy as you pay at the pump and put in your gas, and when you’re filled up enough you get in the car and drive off.
“You can’t just do shit like that, Adam!” You finally speak up once you’re driving away, the firstborn lounging in your backseat due to just being too big to sit up front.
“I fuckin’ forgot, okay!?” He huffs out, his wings fluffing out indignantly as he sprawls out. You slap one of his wings back as it curls forward and brushes against your head and neck, not only making you shiver, but blocking you from seeing out your review mirror and back window.
“Wings down in the car, what have I said before!?” You chastise, and he just scoffs, sitting up, hunching forward as he rests an arm on your middle console.
“Jeeze, chillax, babes! I wiped his mind, he’s not going to remember it, why you still got your panties in a twist?” He sneers, and you growl out, carefully maneuvering to grab one of the horns on his head to push it down more. “Hey, hey, hey, fuckin’ watch the mask, bitch! You don’t get to manhandle the original dick!”
“I can’t fucking see with your giant ass head in the way!” Your clipped response comes out, before you realize something. “Wait– This is a mask?” You’re still holding onto one of the horns, and shake it a bit. He growls out and swats your hand away, which you don’t fight against as you put your hand back on the wheel.
“Pfft, uh, yeah? What, did you think this was actually my face?” He’s resting his head on the console now, pointing to his apparent mask, smirking up at you. You flounder, briefly, mouth opening, before it closes.
“...I mean. Honestly? Yeah. You eat with it. How does that even work!?” You glance at him, eyes wide, and his smirk just lengthens.
“Angelic magic, ‘tits. Fancy as fuck and cooler than anything you mortals got down here in your sorry realm.” He enlightens, and you don’t have a smart comeback for that because he’s right.
“...Pretty cool, actually. Can I have one someday?” You ask, and he curls himself back, splaying out once more across your car’s back seats.
“Maaaaybe. Usually only the big dogs like me get somethin’ this sick.” He responds, shifting multiple times to try and get comfortable. You just roll your eyes as you pull up to the drive-thru, waiting your turn, before glancing back at him.
“Can I see your real face?” You decide to inquire, and he raises a brow at your question, now chewing none-too-quietly on some beef jerky.
“Uh, you wanna owe me more?” He snorts, and you just scoff in reply, looking ahead as you pull up a bit more.
“Didn’t realize I’d have to owe you for you taking your mask off.” You mutter out, and he laughs somewhat, sitting up with another fluff of his wings. You don’t call him out on it for now since you’re just sitting in line.
“Can’t get something for nothing, babes. Not a whole lotta people get to see the OG’s face, and I don’t think some fuckin’ mortal is gonna see it.” He chews some more on his snack, and you hold your hand out for a piece. He glares at you, before relenting and handing you a small strip, which you gnaw on to sate your hunger. May as well pick up dinner here too, then.
“I’m just ‘some fuckin’ mortal’ to you?” You scoff in response, placing a hand to your chest in faux offense. “I thought what we had was special, Adam!” He rolls his eyes at your theatrics, flicking your head, and you scowl in response.
“Nah, you ain’t special, bitch. Well, I guess you are maybe a little. After all, not everyone’s guardian is–”
“The original dick, yeah, yeah, I get it.” You grouse, and now he looks offended that you interrupted him, before shrugging it off because clearly what he’s saying means something. He goes quiet, though, as you pull up to order. You get him a blizzard, and yourself some ice cream as well as dinner.
“Hey, wait, I want something else!” He whines, shoving his head forward once again, and you frown, looking at him. God, how much could he eat? “Gimme uhhh… That! And, oh, also that!” He’s pointing at items on the menu, moreso the pictures, and you glare at him. You can’t speak, as the woman through the speaker could still hear you, and he just looks at you. “What? Order, bitch, there’s people behind you!” You just continue to glare, and he glares back, eyes squinting. “Uggghh, what do you want from me? I can’t fuckin’ pay, I don’t have your stupid Earth money.” Still silence. The woman at the speakers asks if you want anything else, and you tell her to hold on as you stare Adam down.
He taps his finger on your console impatiently, before groaning and throwing his head back. “Fine! This can be the other part of what you owe me.” He sighs out, and you decide to cut your losses and accept that. You turn back to the speaker, ordering what he wants as well, before driving forward, waiting for the car ahead of you to get their food.
“Do you think I’m made of money or something? I’m barely making ends meet.” You speak up, finally, rubbing one of your eyes as you try to stave off the tired ache in your body. Your cramps are starting to kick back up, too, and that’s definitely not helping.
“Sounds like a you problem.” Is all Adam replies as he leans back again, and your jaw grits.
“It is a me problem, so I can’t keep buying you stuff you probably get for free up in Heaven!” You growl out, irritation with him flaring once more. Asshole is so ungrateful… Why did you even buy him anything? “Do you even have to pay rent in Heaven?” You then ask, and he laughs.
“Fuck no!” He grins, before pausing. “Well, sorta. You get like, a free place and whatever, but if you want somethin’ bigger and better you gotta pay for it.” He explains, and you frown at that.
“So, wait. You do gotta work in Heaven?” You blanch, because that sounds awful. Great, you have something to not look forward to even after you die, now. Well, if you want to Heaven, anyways… You have a guardian angel, so you assume that you will, but Adam is hardly angel material. In fact, you’re starting to wonder if this is a test from the Heavens, seeing how much good will you have to not snap and throttle your guardian…
“Sorta?” He gives the same response, picking at his teeth– Mask?-- With his pinky. He doesn’t even look at you. “You don’t gotta. You can just walk around and do whatever you want, but some stuff you gotta actually pay for. Luxuries, like certain entertainment, shops, establishments… You get the idea.” He finally looks at you, resting his hands on his stomach as he leans against the door of your car.
You turn back ahead as the vehicle in front of you pulls forward. “Huh…” You mutter, thoughtful. Well, you hoped you could at least be good at something else in Heaven, because you were definitely not wanting to do the job you had currently up after crossing the pearly gates. You hand your card over to the cashier to pay, and put all the food in the front seat. Adam subtly reaches for his blizzard, which you slap his hand away subtly. No way you’re driving around with what would look like a floating ice cream to everyone else. He pouts, but doesn’t complain, and you drive off after you have everything.
The distance from your apartment to the fast food place you just stopped at is short, and already worn out by today’s events, you just opt to turn on the radio and listen to music. Adam takes over, of course, turning it onto some barely withstandable hard rock as he jams out in the back seat with an air guitar. You try and not let any tired, resting bitch face take over, but it’s so, so difficult to. Once you park in your spot, it’s already decently late. It’s dark out, and you don’t see anyone else around, so you let Adam help you carry your food.
You look up, able to see your balcony from where you’re standing, and grimace at the thought walking three stories. The elevator it is, then, you decide with a heavy sigh. “Alright, up ya go.” Adam suddenly speaks up, and you’re confused, until you feel an arm wrap around your middle.
“What do you– meeeeeaaaannn!” You suddenly shriek out as his wings flare, and he pushes himself and you effortlessly upwards with a beat of them. Seconds later, you land on your balcony with him, trembling, cold and startled at the sudden interaction.
“Theeeere ya go, sweet-tits, saved ya some time, didn’t I? I know, I know, I’m the greatest.” He grins, puffing out of existence, before he reappears inside of your house. He unlocks your sliding door, and you walk in, still more pale before and slow. “Pfft, you should see the look on your face. Hilarious. I’ll have to do that more often.”
“You– You know you can’t!” You sputter out, glaring at him as you set down the food you’re holding, putting your hands on your hips. He just looks at you, boredly, as he tosses some fries in his mouth.
“Wassa big deal? Nobody saw.” He speaks through chewing, and you wrinkle your nose, turning around and shutting the door while you pull the blinds closed.
“What if somebody did see, though!? And we didn’t even know! This is the age of technology, Adam, anyone could be filming for any reason!” You counter, watching in irritation as he flops down on the giant beanbag you have in your small living room in lieu of a couch.
“Even if someone did see it, nobody would believe it. I know those fake ass videos that circulate all the time online of some mysterious shit happening which is obviously just not real.” He seems extremely unbothered by this, which is somewhat concerning. That meant either you were really getting up in arms about this for no reason, or he just didn’t want to admit to making a mistake. You’d heard the phrase ‘angels don’t make mistakes’ or something similar quite a few times from him. You just shoot him a glare as he waves a hand and magics over your remote as he flips the TV on, munching on the food he got.
“Food’s gonna get cold if you don’t eat, babes.” He chirps out, flicking through channels, and you pinch the bridge of your nose and utter under your breath. You never win any arguments with him. Why do you even bother? With a sigh, you grab your food and sit next to him on the beanbag. It’s normally enough to fit at least three or four people, but with how large Adam is, it looks like it’s really just meant for two people. You sit cross legged as you eat, another silence finally lapsing between the both of you. Adam can’t shut up most of the time, and even while he’s eating he’s making quips at the show you’re watching.
“Fuckin’ women argue so much, why did they make a show about it?” He comments while he chews, and you click the remote to see what you’re even watching with a roll of your eyes. The Real Housewives. Great. This one isn’t even set in your area.
“I think it’s all fabricated.” You comment in response. Adam’s done with his food, eating his ice cream, and you’re almost finished with your main meal.
“Why? Wouldn’t it be more interesting if it was real beef?” He scoffs, and you shrug.
“Well, yeah, but rarely is it actually as entertaining as this.” You motion to the screen, grimacing as you see one of the women throw a fork at the other. This was so dumb. Adam seems to agree, as he snorts and changes the channel.
When you’re both completely finished eating, you lounge with him. It’s a bit strange, you admit, having your supposed ‘guardian angel’ just relaxing with you. He’s a divine being; The first man! Yet he’s here, kicking back on your beanbag like he’s some buddy of yours. You don’t tell him to get out, though, because deep down, despite how much of an awful prick he can be… you kinda like the company. You have friends, sure, but they’re all busy with their own lives. Adam? You’re not entirely sure what his life in Heaven is like. You don’t know his responsibilities, but it must not be much if he can just come down here and kick it with you whenever.
You try to drown these contemplative thoughts out with television, but you find it difficult to do as another pang lights your stomach. You groan out, shifting a bit, rubbing at the cramps. Right, you’d nearly forgotten about those. You should go and put something on for the blood, but… Goddamn you don’t wanna get up. Instead, you just roll around slightly on the beanbag, groaning, trying to get comfortable. Adam, blissfully, doesn’t say anything. At first, at least. When you finally moan out in pain, though, and your head slumps against his arm, he scoffs, lifting his arm to look down at you. Your head thumps against his side.
“The fuck you makin’ so much noise for?” He complains, and you pout, mildly glaring at his crass attitude.
“Told you earlier, on my period… Cramps reeaaallly blow.” You utter out, somewhat muffled due to your cheek resting against his side.
“Sucks to suck, woman.” He sneers, and you resist the urge to bite him. Just barely. Your glare certainly says enough, though.
“Please tell me there’s no periods in Heaven.” You sigh as you roll onto your back, peering up miserably at the angel next to you.
“Nope.” He pops the ‘p’ in his response, and you sigh in relief. “Actually, I can just make it so you don’t have it anymore.” He suddenly mentions, and you gasp, sitting up to look at him.
“What? Really?” You grin in excitement at the thought, and he looks at you slyly.
“Yeeep. Only for about nine months at a time, though.” He looks back at his gloved nails, and you tilt your head in confusion.
“That’s… Oddly specific. Why?” You ask, curious. He narrows his eyes at you, grin never leaving his face as he waggles his eyebrows at you. A heated warmth blossoms fiercely across your cheeks and body as you suddenly understand what he’s insinuating.
“Stop being so horny!” You growl out, shoving him as he starts laughing, slapping you with his wing as you stumble to your feet.
“Hey! You know how many chicks are lining up to ride original dick?” He finally huffs out after he’s finished with his laughing fit, pointing down at his crotch.
“I can imagine not very many if you’re here pestering me, still.” You roll your eyes, and his wings flare out in anger at that as he gets up.
“You got no fuckin’ idea! Bitches and groupies are lining up to see me after a show, and even on the streets. I’ve been looking after you for like– What– a few months? You haven’t gotten laid once, so you can cut the cool act and just start begging whenever you want. You’ll be thanking me after.” He insists, waving his arms about as his wings give a beat of frustration. It knocks over a paper mache piece one of your friends made for you, and nearly bowls your cat off of his feet as he comes strolling into the room, although he seems none the wiser to what the wind actually was. You just offer Adam a hard stare as you swoop down to pick up the paper mache, setting it neatly back where it was.
“Is that even allowed?” You can’t help but to ponder, never having of really broached the topic with him. Sure, he was usually horny around you. Made innuendos and suggestive comments(occasional groping), but he’d never actually really tried anything.
“Is what allowed?” He’s gotten distracted by your cat, squinting at him as he strolls about your living room, sticking his head into the now empty paperbag of one of your meals.
“You fucking…” You try to think of what you are to him. You don’t know the term, so instead you just settle on, “Me?”
“I can do whatever the fuck I want. I’m Adam.” Comes his smug response, an equally smug look on his face as his arms cross and he peers down at you. Okay, that’s not a… Real answer, but you suppose you’re not going to get a real answer out of him. You open your mouth, before closing it, deciding to wave him off, uttering that you’ll be back. You head into your bathroom, finally grabbing something to help your blood flow. You also decide to take something to alleviate your cramps a bit, and when you walk back into your main room, you hear Adam. “Hey, pussy, that’s mine!” You walk over, seeing Adam crouched over your cat, glaring at him as he snacks on a fry from inside the bag. So much for being empty.
He then deftly takes the fry from your cat, sticking his tongue out at him as the feline meows pitifully, confused at the fry dangling from nothing in front of him. “Hey, don’t be mean! He found that fair and square, give it back!” You counter, walking over and snatching the fry out of Adam’s fingers. The angel scowls at you as you toss the fry back down for your little boy to consume, and you pet him lovingly.
“Don’t think a cat is supposed to eat that shit.” He grimaces, and you just shrug.
“He can have a little treat. It’s okay.” You decide, picking up the rest of the empty bags and containers as you move to throw them away. “You staying the night or something?” You can’t help but to tease Adam. He doesn’t normally hang around you for this long. In fact, you’re pretty sure he’s only supposed to be here when you’re in real trouble, but you’re not entirely sure what defines that. Maybe he has some premonition about when you’ll get in trouble, so perhaps that’s why he’s sticking around.
“Why, you want me to?” He arches his brows again, and you roll your eyes, not gracing him with a response. “No way, I got shit to do back up top. I’m important, you know, can’t just spend all the time hangin’ out with some mortal. Much as you’d like me to, I know I know.”
“Could’ve fooled me.” You utter under your breath, and before he has a moment to ask what you said, you pipe up, “Are you even allowed to be doing this? Just like, hanging out? And, no,” You start as he opens his mouth to reply. “I don’t want to hear ‘I’m Adam, I can do what I want’ because really that holds no ground.”
“Uh, the fuck it doesn’t! It holds all the ground.” He scoffs. “You may hate the answer, but it’s the truth, babes. Heaven is way better than this shithole you live in, but sometimes it gets so booooring. You guys keep it fresh down here.” He grins, somewhat wicked as he advances towards you, before pausing. “Oh, shit, you know what you should do?” You offer him an uncertain look. “Go to a concert! Or festival! They fuckin’ rock down here.” He throws up the devil’s horns.
“And… Why would I do that?” You frown.
“So I can watch, duh.” He crosses his arms, and you just raise a brow.
“Can’t you just go fly to a concert somewhere and watch it?” You inquired, flopping back down on your beanbag with a grimace as another cramping spasm rips through your body.
“Not really, nah. If I come down to Earth, I’m basically tied to you. Gotta stick around you within a certain area sorta deal.” He explains, and you make a small noise of surprise. You suppress the urge to say, ‘I thought you were Adam and could do whatever you wanted’, but you don’t because you don’t want him going off on a rant about it.
“Well, I’ll think about it. Concerts aren’t really my thing.” You admit, trying to decide one what to watch the rest of the night. Your cat comes up, purring as he settles on your stomach, and you groan out at the pressure it applies.
“You should make it your thing and stop being so fucking boring” He huffs.
“If I’m so boring then why did you hang around me for so long today?” You stick your tongue out as part of your response, and Adam’s wings fluff up and flare at the accusation. He opens his mouth to respond, then closes it, eyes narrowing along with his brows.
“Because… Free food, that’s why. Fuck you, later loser!” He flips you the bird again with both hands this time, sticking his own tongue out, before he’s gone in a puff of golden glitter. It sizzles around you, falling to the ground as it disperses, and you sigh out. You pet your cat, laying your head back on the beanbag.
“...Hope you don’t think I’m crazy.” You rumble to your cat as you scratch him behind the ears. It’s just you and him, now, and you don’t know when Adam will pop up again. You realize, with a pang in your chest, that you miss him already. What a dangerous game you were playing, talking so freely with your divine guardian.

Like… it’s not for everyone and I get it. But don’t come at me for it if you proceed anyway cause changmin is a vampire and acts accordingly so yeah that is all thank q.
The stories you’d been told when you were younger should’ve maybe deterred you from letting the night time bleed into your window, casting dark shadows along with the moon that illuminated through the sheer curtains. You were always told to be vary, to be afraid of the creatures that roamed in the dark.
The ones that watched you when you’d turn around, the ones who’s bright yellow eyes were a threat, and even more so when they illuminated red.
So why you were letting one spread your bare legs now was beyond you.
Changmin had been an intriguing mystery to you since you met. He seemed sweet, with dimples that charmed you and eyes that seemed so inviting, but when that smile dropped and he became hungry, everything changed.
He could be scary, downright terrifying even, if he wanted to be. His threats that he made were real, always, and his anger was not easy to contain if he released it. Though despite all that, he possessed a hold on you so tight that every time he asked to be invited into your house, you said yes.
It was your own fault. When you’d first met, it was at a gas station and you’d managed to cut your finger somehow on the clip you press down to fill up your car's gas, and almost within seconds, Changmin was behind you.
You should be careful.
He was warning you. Told you that your blood smelled so sweet, it may attract attention from people that would hurt you to get a taste. By the time you’d agreed to let him keep you company to protect you, it was already too late to realise that there was no way he could smell it.
Unless he was one too.
Once you did realise, he simply looked down at you and grinned, almost wicked, as if he knew he was caught but didn’t have any shame. Though despite all that, despite his hunger for you in particular, he had never made you feel like you needed to run away.
And maybe that’s why you were foolish enough to let him stay around, to lick off the wound on your thumb that night and to come around every now and then to try it again. It was an addicting thrill, one that nearly made you feel high, to risk your life in his hands more and more every time.
You were covered in healing puncture wounds from his fangs at various stages, hidden mostly though he’d been particularly careless the other day on your neck, bitten too high and now you were stuck in sweaters far too warm for the weather. He’d check on it occasionally, made sure none of your wounds ever got infected. You’d agreed for him to feed off you, but he had made it clear that he’d always check that you were healing as a compromise to you letting him.
The way he always checked on you was one of the reasons that you were able to calm down, to tell your body that you were safe, despite the sharp pain you’d feel, followed by that same thrilling high.
“I’ve been thinking about you all day,” he’s looking down at you, his chest bare, your ankles over his shoulders as he caresses your legs. You were left in your lace underwear that you’d learned he liked in particular and a tight cropped shirt that was doing nothing to hide your erect nipples.
“Tell me more,” you demand, and Changmin may be annoyed by your insistent attitude if it weren’t for how you were begging the words out with light breaths. He grins instead, turns to the side to kiss your leg before retracting his fangs, letting the point that’s sharper than a blade just scratch the surface of your skin.
It almost tickles, making you squirm.
“Hmmm, I could,” he starts, then leans down to hover over your chest, staring straight into your eyes with ones that are a sharp yellow, “or I could show you?”
You say yes before he’s barely finished speaking, and he knows he has you right where he wants you as he goes to take your shirt off, leaving you in just your panties, ones that are clinging to you with the dampness between your legs.
He’s rather harsh in spreading your legs apart, pushing your left thigh to the side and pressing it into the mattress. The flimsy fabric slips between your folds, revealing part of your drenched cunt to his hungry eyes and you almost don’t notice how quickly he’s sunken down to lie with his head near your thigh, arms under your upper thigh before they circle up to grip your waist.
“Baby,” it’s almost condescending, the tone he uses to speak to you, but there’s something about the draw of his voice that has any ability to bite back, fall to the back of your throat, “I’ve barely touched you.”
You know what he’s talking about. You’re so aroused by his mere presence, that the barely there touches are enough to make you wet. He could do the bare minimum and it would likely still turn you on. Changmin was just… different. Hard to explain, but he was beautiful and calculating, and he’d somehow managed to figure you out in such a short span of time that he knew exactly what to do and how to do it.
“Touch me then,” it’s the only real demand you manage to make, but even then it sounds weak, strained in your throat though he seems to take to the request. You feel the way he hooks two of his fingers by the lace covering your modesty (barely), pushing the fabric to one side before his tongue lays flat between your folds.
The sudden feel of him between your legs has you jolt upwards in surprise, but it makes him eager to keep going. He doesn’t need to be slow with you, can be, but doesn’t have to, and that’s one thing he really likes about you.
“Cute,” he chuckles, and you know he’s looking at you like you’re easily breakable, and honestly, with him you may as well be. You’d always considered your control to be excellent and your reserve strong, but he had you weak. It was near pathetic.
He lays a kiss right over your clit before lightly releasing a breath over the bundle of nerves. The cool sensation makes you whimper, and he gives you no warning when he grabs your hips tighter with his hands, forcing your body up just slightly off your mattress, before his tongue pushes inside you.
“Fuck, Min!” he doesn’t answer, too wrapped up in you, the way you taste and how your body responds to his mouth, to even begin to speak back. Your voice has gone from quiet to a pathetic mess of moans and soft pants, the occasional call of his name that only makes him go faster.
You feel one of his hands slip away from your waist, and you’re about to complain about how cold the bone of your hip feels without his touch, but the thought is erased when his middle finger replaces his tongue inside you, his mouth moving back up between your drenched folds to twirl a pattern around your clit again just as he curls his finger.
You’re going insane.
“Y-yes… more. P-please,” and Changmin won’t deny you when you look this pretty under him, but he also has his own needs to take care of, and the heightened scent of you and your arousal has him desperately needing to taste.
“I- I want… need to taste you,” and it’s when you connect with his eyes that you know he means something else.
That’s another thing about Changmin. No matter how strong his urges are, he’s never once failed to ask you first if it’s okay.
Though it would be difficult at this point to find an instance where you’d deny him the taste of you.
You feel your orgasm build, your head rolling back as soon as you tell him yes, that he can do what he wants, and he quickens his pace to push you right over the edge.
He doesn’t say anything to you, not that he could anyway when his mouth is preoccupied, but he does find the time to slip another two fingers inside you and you know you’re about to come undone. Changmin knows it too, feels it in how you tighten around his fingers and how your thighs press into the side of his head like you could crush him.
Honestly, Changmin finds you so incredibly sexy when you lose your mind.
It’s when you’re just mere seconds away from orgasm that he quickly replaces his tongue with his other free hand, his thumb over your clit instead, and it might’ve delayed your orgasm, made you mewl and plead and ask why, but that never comes.
The sharp pain of his fangs in your thigh mixed in with the pleasure of his fingers brings you over the edge completely, arching off the bed and screaming his name so loud that you’re relieved you live alone. You nearly want to cry from how good it feels, barely comprehending the sensation of him draining you off the sweet crimson liquid that keeps you alive, his fingers still curled inside you as you ride out your orgasm.
He groans, and it’s the sexiest sound you’ve ever heard. Changmin overall, is incredibly sexy, and he loves to remind you like this. You grip his hair with the strength you have left, chest moving rapidly as you tug, trying to pull him away from your thigh.
Changmin complies. Even if his instincts tell him he doesn’t want to, that he could drain you completely and wants to, he also knows that when you pull him away, he’s going to obey.
It’s the only thing Changmin lets you control, mostly because he knows you do it when it’s too much, when it either hurts past pleasure (though that’s exceedingly rare), or you’re becoming dazed and lightheaded to the point of it being dangerous. That’s why he listens, even if his entire being tells him not to.
His eyes are stained red now, dark and haunting, like they are every time he consumes you, and you swear his gaze is so intense that it demands your body to move regardless of your own mind. You’ve turned around on the bed before he even asks, though he’s the one to forcibly push your knees further apart, your ass up while your face rests against the pillows.
“You’re eager, god,” you nod desperately, though you’re not sure he even notices, “you want me to fuck you like this?”
You try to speak. You really, honestly try, but no sound comes out. Not until you feel a sharp slap to your ass that nearly pushes your whole body forward, “Yes! Please, y-yes.”
“Good girl,” you can feel him press his body against you, his cock bare against your folds and it makes you mewl, pushing against him. He has the nerve to laugh at you, leaning down so his chest hovers over your back as he whispers in your ear, “does your leg hurt?”
You’d honestly been so out of it that you’d forgotten, though this serves as a reminder of the sting on your left upper thigh. It does hurt, but not nearly enough for you to care.
“I’m okay,” and you say it with the most conviction, your heart warming just enough that it might scare you to what the implications of your feelings may mean. He doesn’t ask for anything else, though he’s always cautious anyway, in case anything shifts in your tone that implies that you’re not okay.
Changmin may have fucked you quite a number of times by now, and whilst you may have gotten used to his presence in the bedroom, it somehow still surprised you when his cock would bury itself inside you. Because no matter how often you found yourself like this, you were still naive enough to believe that he must be fully inside you when he’d really only come a little over halfway.
And every time, without fail, the realisation that he was going deeper made you whimper his name in a way that sounded like a musical note to his ears. It was beautiful, to see you so out of it when he’d barely done anything that required effort.
He stays like this for a while, cock inside you fully while your walls constrict around him, making him hiss as he’s gripping your waist with his fingers, kneading the flesh so hard it may definitely bruise as he steadies you, and you want to tell him to move, that you need him to.
Though he knows. He knows to replace his inaction with too much, because it sends you into overdrive and he loves to see you fall apart like this. Changmin is fast, unnaturally so which makes sense given who he is, but it’s the way in which he slams his hips into you that would make you collapse if he wasn’t keeping you up.
“Oh fuck! F-fuck… M-Minnie. Harder!”
“Think you can… can take that?”
He loves to tease you, push you to limits that a human shouldn’t be pushed too, but you want it and he won’t deny you.
“Y-yes. Please, Min,” his one arm goes around your chest, lifting you up against his own, your back arched while he quickens his pace, and he’s so aggressive that it may bruise both his own hips and your ass as a result, but you don’t care.
“Wish you could s-see what you look like,” he’s trembling, nibbling on your ear before he’s gently biting into your shoulder, just sharp enough to feel but not enough to cause injury, something which takes a level of self control that he’s spent decades trying to master. You grip the arm he has around your chest with your fingers, clawing at his forearm and flesh to hold onto just as he brings his free hand to your clit, “beautiful.”
Changmin is a master at making you fall apart. The way he slams into you is animalistic, brutal even, in ways you always wished to experience when past partners just didn’t do enough, and it’s the way he shows care to you whilst treating you like a ragdoll that ultimately makes you lose your mind.
“Fuck-” he groans, forehead falling to your shoulder, “you’re clenching.”
You know what that means. You know that aside from you being so close to an orgasm, it means that he’s going crazy from how your walls feel constricting around his cock and that he wants you to come.
“B-bite me. P-please C-Changmin,” he doesn’t see sense anymore when you ask like that. He releases a deep growl, near possessive of you, his teeth digging into the flesh between where your neck meets your shoulder, the arm that was around your chest further up by your shoulder blades now as the other wraps around your stomach, firmly gripping you in place as he slams his cock into you one more time, your orgasm so intense that you swear you nearly see absolute darkness for just a second when you reopen your eyes.
You cry out his name, screaming and trembling as he’s firm in keeping you unmoving which only makes it more intense, and he groans, licking the wound on your neck as you feel his cum fill you up, milking him dry as your walls clench repeatedly to grip him.
He’s about to pull out but your hips follow his movements, keeping him close to you and you can practically feel him smirk against your neck.
“Baby, we can’t stay like this,” but you don’t want to listen to him even if he’s right. Even when you feel him try to lick the crimson red from your skin by your neck to clean you up because you’re being stubborn and won’t let him help you properly, even then, you don’t want to move.
However, Changmin is just as stubborn as you. That, and he has supernatural strength, able to overpower you in seconds and so he does, throwing you around and up onto his waist as he stands on the bed, your legs around his hips as you feel his cum slowly move down between your legs and to your ass, his hands gripping your flesh while he looks up at you.
There’s something so inherently sexy about the way he can get up after an orgasm and throw you onto his waist to walk you into the bathroom, and something far more sexy about being met with the state you’re in because of him. He ruins you beautifully, litters your skin with beautiful colour that also stains his soft lips and white teeth.
“I’m fineeeee,” but it sounds pathetic, and it’s near embarrassing how your body arches to him spreading your legs again, making him laugh at you.
“I need to clean them,” he says, stubborn as he gently slaps your hand away that’s reaching out to touch him, “behave.”
As soon as the damp warm cloth touches your wounded thigh is when you realise that it actually hurts quite a bit more than you’d noticed, making you hiss slightly at the stinging as he tries to gently treat your skin. His eyes are hungry when he does, and you know that deep down, he’s fighting with himself to taste you again.
“Minnie?”
“Hmm?”
Though you aren’t sure why you called his name, what you’re trying to get his attention for, so you just watch him fondly with eyes that give away far more than you’re ready to admit to him or even yourself.
“You’re pretty.”
He laughs again, moving up to clean your neck and you let him without any hesitation, completely trusting him despite his instincts.
“You’re so cute,” it makes you blush, dazed from orgasm and happy enough that he warms you with words that seem so mundane and basic, yet they’re not, “I’m gonna disinfect it but… do you wanna shower first?”
“Yes please,” your hands reach for him again, and this time he takes them into his, drawing circles with his thumbs over your knuckles, “with you?”
“If you behave,” you gasp, laughing and feigning shock though you nod nevertheless as he brings you off the counter and to your shower, stumbling slightly as you do, “careful.”
“I don’t like how you still function. It’s not fair,” you pout, letting him follow you with a hand reached out around your back just in case you fall.
“Darling, you know you can’t compare us like that,” and he’s right, of course. He has advantages, unfair ones, but it still makes you pout.
“Do I not satisfy you, hmm?” it’s a joke, both of you know it, but Changmin has turned you around and pressed you against the tiled wall in less than a second. His eyes are fading from their blood red to an orange hue, an indication that they’re going back to their natural state of yellow.
“Answer your own question, I dare you to.”
It’s the way his eyes hunger for you again, how they want you, always, and you know it was stupid to even joke, because the very answer is one thing you’ve always known since you met.
Ji Changmin wants you the way one wants a drug when they’re addicted. He’s insatiable and he hungers for you, because you’re the only one who satisfies him.
You're the only one that tastes so sweet.
changmin is the reason i have no sanity left and i hope it showed PFFF
I'll try to update quite soon cause I have some extra time but deciding on who to write is hard when I've been on my knees for all of them lately 🛐

Angry Johnny
Part 1 | Part 2
This is part 2 of my Johnny Slaughter longfic I likely won't finish unless I get a lot of interest, but I figure it's better to post what I have than to let it rot forever!
Summary: You're a private investigator looking into the disappearance of Maria Florez, but you fall right into the arms of Johnny Slaughter instead.
Warnings: kidnapping
28 May, 1973
You slept with your windows cracked to let in the cool night air, and if it weren't for that, you might have missed the muffled screams emanating from the back of the gas station. The sounds sent a chill down your spine, instantly waking you.
In the glove box, you retrieved your concealed holster and snub-nosed revolver. It had only ever been used on the shooting range, but it was there for emergencies, and you were glad for the sense of safety it provided as you exited the car with it in hand.
Running toward the back of the gas station, anxiety flooded you as you realized you could no longer hear anything, not even crickets. Upon reaching the campsite, your heart stopped. It appeared as if it had been torn to pieces by a wild animal. The tents were disheveled, and struggle marks led deeper into the darkness away from the station.
Standing frozen in place, panic set in, and you were unsure of what to do. There had to be more than one attacker. If you followed the marks into the dark, there might not be enough bullets for the assailants. You needed help.
The gas station was dark, and all the doors were locked so there was no help to be had there. Rushing back to your car, you slid into your seat and turned the key. The car came to life, and you felt a surge of hope as you pulled out of the dusty lot and started down the road.
Slamming the pedal, you raced down the road, but not even a half a mile from the gas station, your car began to sputter.
"No!" You yelled, slamming your hands on the steering wheel. "No, no, no…" The fuel gauge read dangerously low even though you were sure it was almost full before you fell asleep.
You drove the car to the side of the road before it stalled out entirely, its headlights illuminating the endless expanse of dirt road ahead. Dropping your head onto the steering wheel, you began to sob.
Alone and clueless, the weight of your new friends' need for help settled heavily upon you. Now, not only were you further from them, but you had no idea what steps to take next.
The unsettling notion that the assailant might have circled back to the station loomed in your thoughts. Despite the desperate desire to take action echoing through your mind, all you managed was pounding your fists on the dash, screaming in frustration as tears streaked down your cheeks.
A blast of a horn startled you from the depths of your despair, a ray of hope piercing through your anguish. You jolted upright in the car, your wide, tear-filled eyes gazing up at the rearview mirror.
The dual headlights of a weathered white pickup truck faintly illuminated your car's interior. Adrenaline raced through you as the door creaked open, and boots met the ground, stirring up a cloud of dust.
As heavy footsteps closed in on your window, you clutched the pistol handle tightly, rolling the window down a fraction.
"Car trouble?" A deep voice rumbled. The tall, rugged man leaned in, his brown eyes meeting yours as two greased strands of dark hair slipped down his forehead.
You nodded, trying to wipe tears away with the back of your arm. "Mister, I need help. My friends are in danger."
His brow furrowed. "Danger? What sort?" You noticed a scar tressing from his cheek, beside his nose, up toward his hairline.
Surveying the man, your trained eyes took in more details. He was handsome: Clad in a simple black cutoff T-shirt and blue jeans secured by a silver belt buckle, he had a sturdy and toned physique shaped by practical strength, with high cheekbones and an angular jaw. He looked undeniably dangerous.
You recalled a report you'd read up on of a man with dark hair, covered in scars, who strangled a woman in her bed before fleeing. This man matched the description. Your grip on the pistol tightened to an almost painful level.
But, with your friends' lives hanging in the balance, you couldn't afford to be overly cautious. You were trained for this, right? You knew how to work people to get the answers you needed. Plus, this man had shown up so quickly he couldn't have been the person who took your friends.
Secure in your analysis of the situation, you spoke. "I think they were attacked behind the nearby gas station, I heard screams and when I went back there, the site was torn to shreds."
"Then we best hurry and call the police, miss…?" He asked.
You told him your name, and grabbed your backpack, subtly slipping your gun into its hidden holster against your side as you did so. You hesitated before you opened the door, but your need to rescue your friends overpowered your trepidation as you joined the man on the side of the road.
"The name's Johnny. My uncle's home is just a few miles back; I'll take you there and you can call the police, alright?" He said, opening his arm toward his truck.
You nodded, but waited for him to begin walking before following just behind him. His proposal felt like a lifeline, and you weren't about to let paranoia cloud your judgment.
If it weren't for your keen eye and distressed state, you might've missed the knife tucked into a sheath at the back of his pants in favor of staring at the well-defined contours of his sculpted ass.
Still, guns beat knives in almost every situation. If this guy tried anything, you'd shoot him down in an instant.
Johnny opened the passenger side door for you, and you climbed in. He sat in the driver's side and the truck protested before rumbling to life.
You took stock of the truck. It certainly looked like it was used in farm work, as it was rather banged up and dirty. The passenger side door was scratched and dented from the inside, and you wondered what all the truck had seen. You peeked toward the back, but there was nothing in the truck bed but a crushed beer can and a five-gallon canister of gas.
Johnny took off down the road, the truck groaning as it bounced over an uneven section of dirt. When you passed by the gas station, a chill came over you. You noticed Johnny glance at the station before turning his eyes back to the road.
"So y'all were just passin' through when your friends were attacked?" he asked, the engine's growl accompanying his words.
You knew you had to be careful. If this man was dangerous, letting him know you are investigating missing people would put his crosshairs on you. So, you opted for a half-truth.
"We were camping behind the gas station, planning on heading out to explore the wildflower fields in the morning." You paused, trying to still your racing heart. "There wasn't enough space in the tent for me, so I slept in my car instead. Good thing too, or I would have been taken with the rest of them."
"Yeah," his eyes lingered on you before he turned them back to the road, "good thing. Don't worry, you and your friends will be reunited soon, I'm sure of it. My uncle's place is just up this road."
Johnny's unreadable expression didn't waver, and you couldn't shake the feeling that he saw through you. The truck rumbled on, and the uneasy silence lingered, your hidden agenda hanging in the air.
He turned down a dirt road and a big yet decrepit white plantation house came into view.
“Your uncle's house is beautiful,” you commented, trying to break the tension.
“You think this place is pretty, you aughta see my ma's,” he said, pulling in and parking the truck.
“What's your ma's like?” You asked as he turned off the truck.
He smiled. “Lots of flowers. The house isn't as big, but she takes much better care of it than my uncle does his.” He pauses. “Well, it ain't entirely his fault it's a mess. My cousins are more than a handful to keep up with.”
He opened the truck door on his side and slid out. He has cousins? Are they home? Your pulse was racing, but you tried to conceal it behind a smile as he came around and opened the door for you, offering a hand to help you down.
He led you to the door, which creaked open. The foyer was dwell-trekked with dirt, and chicken feathers wafted through the air.
“Don’t mind the feathers, one of my cousins is into taxidermy. Makes his own sculptures. There are some back there.” He gestured toward a metal door at the end of the hallway. “But you didn't come here for an exhibit. The phone is upstairs in my uncle's office.”
“Where is your uncle, anyway?” You asked as he started stomping heavily up the stairs.
He shrugged. “Upstairs, probably. C'mon.”
You followed him, your hand hovering close to your pistol without revealing it. Johnny led the way down the hallway upstairs and swung open the door to his uncle's office. As you approached, you glimpsed inside just as a familiar voice erupted.
“Johnny, why the hell are you upstairs? Get down there and help your cousins!” The man from the gas station, Drayton Sawyer, bellowed, rising from his desk with a fiery expression. His livid eyes met yours, and a moment of shock flickered across his face.
“Drayton?” Your voice faltered, providing the opening Johnny needed. He seized your arm, pulling you close against him before deftly extracting your pistol from its concealed holster with a smirk.
“Thought you were clever, huh?” He taunted. “You've been hovering over this thing since we met.”
“What the hell is going on!?” You yelled as you struggled against him, but he easily overpowered you, restraining your wrists behind your back. Your pulse soared, and you felt faint.
Ignoring your protests, Johnny flung the gun toward Drayton, who fumbled to catch it, nearly dropping it onto his desk.
“You corn-fried idiot, it's loaded! Could've blown my head right off!” Drayton exclaimed, his anger evident as spittle flew from his mouth.
“If only I could've been so lucky,” Johnny pouted, then smirked and pulled you away from the office, holding you tightly.
“Let me go!” You screamed louder, attempting to claw at his arm.
“C'mon, pretty little thing. I still gotta introduce you to my cousins! Right this way,” he said, forcing you to stumble down the steps clumsily.
Upon reaching the foyer, he approached the large metal door and knocked three times. Heavy footfalls followed, and the door slammed open.
A leathered face met yours, empty eye sockets filled with the trepid gaze of the hulking monster beneath it. His clothes were drenched in blood, obscuring their original appearance, and a gore-covered chainsaw gripped in his left hand completed the terrifying image.
You screamed so loudly your voice cracked, and your vision began to blur.
“Got her. Told ya I would handle it,” Johnny declared, shoving you toward the man who caught you with surprising gentleness.
The massive man grunted in relief, unable to form coherent words, but Johnny paid no attention, his focus on you.
“See you later, toots,” Johnny said with a playful wave, biting his lower lip. As you paused your hysterical screaming to kick at him and spit at his face, the leather-faced man effortlessly held you aloft like an unruly toddler. Johnny slammed the door shut, and the monster descended with you into the musty, rust and fetid meat-scented basement.

Kia Ora!
May I ask something for letterkenny where the reader routinely bakes for the produce stand( staples like bread, cookies etc) but then branches out into cakes and shit that they get Wayne, Darryl, Dans and Katy's opinion of their work? Wayne wants to pay you but honestly cooking/baking for others is your love language?
AHHHH I LOVE THIS SO SO SO MUCH because I totally would be this person in the LK universe!!! I freaking love baking and did I mention I LOVE this idea??? xD anyway thanks so much for lending me your creativity with this request, can't wait to see what you think of my creation below :) <3 I combined this ask with the other ask about being a friend of Katy’s and being a baker so don’t worry, I saw that request too!! No one falls through the cracks on this account, I see y’all and all your messages I promise😎 even if it takes me awhile to get everything done lol
This'll be another implied Wayne x reader story, but again, it can be read either romantically or platonically!
Bringing Home the Bakin'
Fluff
lil bit of Wayne x gn!reader
Warnings: none
There was nothing better than hearing the sound of your oven ding with the promise of yummy baked goods. You pulled out a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies, the delectable smell filling your kitchen. You turned around, putting the raw dough of your very popular bread in the perfectly warmed up kitchen appliance. You were anxious to get this round of baking done as soon as possible because you needed to drop it all off at Katy and Wayne’s produce stand before it got too late in the morning. You and Katy had been friends for a long time, and in turn, her friends became your friends, and soon enough you were officially adopted into the Hicks’ group. You had always been an avid baker, too, which certainly didn’t hurt when it came time to making friends. You loved to bake things for people as it was your love language—food easily brings people together and full bellies equal full hearts. You never, in a million years, thought that people would love your products so much that they would line up so early in the morning, eager to get their hands on whatever you were selling that day. You couldn’t lie, you were proud of making a name for yourself like that, especially in Letterkenny where bad gas travels fast and good gas travels… well, probably just as fast, but nonetheless, you were happy. As your bread baked, you decided now would be the perfect time to go get ready so you’d be on time leaving later.
40 minutes bake time and 20 minutes cool down time later, everything was sliced, packaged, and ready to sell. You loaded up your car and drove over to the produce stand, excited to see your friends. As you pulled into the dirt driveway, you saw car after car waiting for you to arrive with your baked goods. Wayne saw you arrive and came over to help you carry everything to the stand.
“One of these days you ought to park your car and sell right from the trunk,” he commented, his arms filled with cookie containers.
“Then I wouldn’t be able to see your big muscles at work, moving my stuff,” you teased. Wayne scoffed quietly, but you knew he was flattered.
“Y/n! Glad to see you so chipper this morning,” Katy greeted, taking the bread from your grasp and setting it on the second stand they made specifically for your treats.
“Any morning I see my best friend is a morning worth looking forward to,” you said, a big smile on your face.
“Don’t go soft on me now,” she replied, smiling back at you.
“Our favorites baker’s heres,” said Squirrely Dan, clapping you on the shoulder.
“Sure is,” Daryl piped in before leaning in close to you. “Did you save us anything?”
“Hmm. Maybe,” you said with a sly grin. Daryl tried to contain his excitement but failed, letting out little giggles.
All of your baked goods were displayed neatly in no time with everyone’s help. Pies were placed all over pretty patterned plates, tarts were looking totally tantalizing, and the cookies couldn’t look any cuter in their containers.
“Pitter patter?” you asked, eyebrows raised.
“Let’s get at ‘er,” Katy responded, nodding at you before addressing the crowd. “Y/n’s Bakestand is now open! Line up nicely or we’ll lay you out.”
Crowds of people started swarming in as they all tried to buy something before it was sold out. You did your best to bake lots of extras this morning, but it didn’t look like it mattered. The stand was emptied in a half hour after what seemed like the entirety of Letterkenny’s residents came by. When the rush was finished, leaving you and the Hicks standing by yourselves, you clapped your hands.
“Now that that’s over with, you guys wanna taste one of my newest creations?” you asked, a sly grin taking over your lips.
“I like the sound of that,” said Daryl, unable to stifle more happy giggles.
“I’d taste anythings of yours that you’d so kindlys puts in my hands, y/n,” replied Dan.
“Why don’t you take about 50 to 60 percent off there, Squirrely Dan,” reprimanded Wayne, making you chuckle. You retrieved a cooler from your car that held something you’d finally tried after thinking it over for a while. You were confident in your baking abilities, but this time, you really wanted your friends’ opinions on your work. You opened the cooler and took out the large container, your nerves creeping up on you a little bit. Wayne eyed you curiously, wondering what delicious item you brought this time. When you finally took the lid off the container, you held your breath, waiting for each person’s reactions.
“It’s so pretty!”
“Too pretty to eat!”
“I disagrees with thats, Katy, but to each their owns.”
Wayne didn’t say anything, but he nodded his head in the slightest manner—that was a great sign. You had baked a carrot cake and covered it with cream cheese frosting; not only did you frost it, though, but you created art with it. You had decorated the border on the bottom and top with an intricate piping design, the swirls looking like they were dancing on the cake. In the middle was a perfect illustration of a carrot, the coloring vibrant and detailing neat. As you sliced it and doled out the pieces, you could see the nuts inside were evenly distributed and the cake was pleasantly spongy. Not a single element was out of place and you smiled to yourself, awaiting the consensus of flavor.
“You outdid yourself again,” commented Katy, taking another big bite.
“It’s so good I could cry,” an almost tearful Daryl replied.
“Delicious as always, y/ns,” Dan complimented.
“This tastes as good as puppy breath smells,” said Wayne, and you let out a relieved sigh.
“You guys don’t know how happy that makes me! I was nervous since I usually never bake cakes,” you confessed.
“You truly have a talent and I’m so glad we’re able to showcase that to Letterkenny,” Katy told you, gently nudging your shoulder with her own. There were still morning chores to get done so after everyone finished their treat, you and Wayne were left to watch over the produce stand for the time being. You busied yourself with the till, counting out how much money you made—you split your earnings with the siblings since you used their stand but you still came away with more than enough to cover some of your everyday expenses.
“You know, I wish you’d let me pay you more,” Wayne said, looking at you intently, “especially when you bring over those other treats just for us. You’re a hard worker, I want to make sure you’re paid fair and square.”
“This is a hobby-turned-side job for me, I promise I’m making enough,” you consoled. “And I enjoy making things for you guys. That’s just me sharing my love for you in the form of baked goods. No money needed there.”
Wayne wasn’t fully convinced until he saw just how brightly your eyes shone when you spoke about baking. He could tell that you honestly did it because you liked it, not because you were looking to make a profit. He felt his heart swell at the thought of you in the kitchen, apron on and humming to yourself as you worked on some more recipes to please him and the others.
“Okay,” he conceded, his steely gaze concentrated on your carefree one, “but if we have to build a second stand for you, you’re getting a bigger share of the profit. No ifs, ands, or buts.”
“You drive a hard bargain, Wayne, but I’m inclined to agree,” you said, stretching your hand out for a handshake, “only if you promise to keep being my most prized taste tester.”
“Fine by me,” he said, grasping your hand in his own and shaking it. However, he held onto your hand for a little longer than necessary, his lips curved into the tiniest smile.
He could never say no to you.

Bo Sinclair x fem!reader
Word Count: 3.4k
Warnings: the reader is in on the whole killing people thing and she helps them, the reader is caught in a fight, the whole plot is kinda based around bo and the reader going to see potential people to kill rip
Author’s Note: HELLO BELLA QUEEN I hope you enjoy this, it is unedited and I wrote it all while watching the movie. So there are fo sure some grammatical errors <3 I took our conversation and ran with it fr
Requested: by @blonde-bombshell-wannabe, MAYA !! (This is Bella on a diff acc) may I request for my babygirl Bo Sinclair! thank you ily queen
Summary: The reader lives in Ambrose with the brothers. She goes with Bo one night to scare off some campers/frighten them towards Ambrose and she gets hurt.
I don’t own these characters. They belong to author/director/creator
(not my gif)
The town of Ambrose was dead. The lonely streets were desolate and smelled of pine trees. The windows, even when they robotically moved, were vacant of any kind of life. The wax museum at the top of the hill was filled with lifeless eyes but they were the closest you had to any kind of human interaction.
Outside of the Sinclair's. The Sinclair's had enough life in them to fill up the entire town, to drown it with their actions and etch their own marking onto the world. The rest of the continent may be filled with towns that created economy’s but not Ambrose. Ambrose was a secret in itself. It made living there all the more entertaining. There was always something to discover, always something to unearth.
Bo liked to pretend the whole place was condensed down to the gas station and its immediate surroundings. He was standing behind the counter, finicking with a bolt and screwdriver. He had the wrench between his teeth as he looked down at it, eyebrows knitted in frustration and determination.
“You see those guys down the road? Twenty miles up south?” Bo looked up to meet the eyes of his brother Lester. Following close behind him was you, causing the door to jingle above your head. Bo took the wrench out of his mouth and shook his head.
“No I haven’t been out,” he grumbled. “Why? You guys been goin that far?” His southern drawl dipped into a bit of jealousy.
“Not like that. Just perusing,” Lester explained. “They got a campsite. Like them kids from last summer, the ones trying to go to the football game?” Bo nodded. He remembered. Nearly gave him a run for his money too. Soon after that you came along, running away from life and looking for a new place to set down roots. You stumbled into a town that wasn’t even on the map, knocking on hotels that didn’t have any living owners. Bo found you there, showed you around, decided not to kill you.
It took you a moment to get used to the way the brothers did things but you had never felt like you belonged somewhere more.
“Never made it to the football game,” Lester laughed. You scoffed and walked up to the counter Bo was standing behind. You hoisted yourself up.
“Only one car. We couldn’t make out how many people there was but they didn't even notice that we were there,” you explained. Bo nodded once, looking forward. He met your eyes and you shrugged, gently letting him know that you thought it was safe. He hummed under his breath for a second and then cleared his throat.
“Sounds interesting. We’ll keep an eye on it.”
“We haven’t done anything in weeks Bo. It’s been a drought out here,” you complained. He kept his eyes on you, looking up through his lashes. He was daring you to push it. You wanted to. Lester let out a dramatic sigh.
“She knows where it is. Just past the dump site.”
“Yeah yeah.” Bo gave him a nod as a ‘thank you’. Lester raised his hands in a small defensive plea and walked back out the gas station. The bell rang above his head to indicate his departure. Even though there were only four of you in the town it always felt like you all took up so much space. You were used to just being by yourself, walking by yourself, driving by yourself. Vincent had made sure you had defense against anyone that you could run into. You could defend yourself.
Lester leaving left a large space.
“Don’t be antsy,” he mumbled. He had gone back to whatever he was working on at the desk. You turned around, craning your neck to watch him. His fingers were dirty with grease, his fingernails permanently black.
“I’m not being antsy.”
“You are. I can feel it,” he muttered. He glanced up at you, annoyed, and then backed down. You rolled your eyes and reached forward into his shirt pocket to pull out his pack of cigarettes.
“You’re tense. Have a smoke,” you joked. He scoffed but you got a smile out of him. You nimbly pulled out one from the pack. He was low. He kept a drawer of them by his bedside until someone made it far out enough to buy more. They were a variety of brands. He had never been picky.
You offered it to him. He took it, continuing his mock annoyance, and put it between his teeth.
“You gonna light it too sweetheart?” he questioned, muffled by the cigarette. You rolled your eyes and grabbed the lighter sitting on the desk. You tried it twice and it finally lit. He moved forward to the flame and the end of it smoked.
“Think on it. I think they’ll be gone by tomorrow though so don’t think too long,” you said. He nodded, putting the smoke between his fingers. You pushed yourself off the desk and walked forward to the door. “I can go without you.”
He gave you a warning look.
“What, flash some lights intimidatingly? That’s not a very hard job Bo.”
“Watch it.” You backed off. You opened the door and stepped out.
“Yes sir.”
The bell dinged as you left.
-
You twirled your car keys on your finger. The sky had just turned into a cloudy overcast as you walked out of the House of Wax. You liked to watch Vince sculpt and he let you sit there, drinking a soda, leaned back in a comfy chair. You walked down the hill towards the church when Bo appeared, wearing his jumpsuit. He tilted his baseball hat down as a hello.
“What’re you doin up here?”
“Hanging with Vince. What are you doin up here?”
“Lookin for you,” he explained. “Suns going down. Don’t exactly wanna go with Lester out to that campsite.” Your eyes went wide in excitement. You really thought you were gonna have to go by yourself tonight and that was sure to create an argument in the morning. You were pleased that he had changed his mind or at least, gotten more used to the idea of you tagging along.
You smiled but other than that, didn’t mention it.
“We taking my car or yours?”
“Which one of mine?” You rolled your eyes and followed in stride with him down the hill.
“You say they’re yours as though you didn’t steal them.” “They dropped the car keys on the ground,” he suggested. He gestured to the ground. “Middle of the road. Abandoned.” He shook his head as he walked up to one of his trucks. He had finally gotten around to fixing the front headlight of it and could drive it out again. Not that he was against breaking the rules, he just didn’t like driving a car that wasn’t up to code. Old life habits you imagined.
You got into the passenger seat.
“You got a knife?” You gave your combat boots a slap.
“Always.”
“Serrated?”
“Whatever Lester gave me,” you said. “He tried to tell me which one was better but I tuned him out.”
“It’s good he has hobbies.” He turned on the car and it grumbled beneath you. It sputtered and then came to life. Bo turned the gear forward and then started to drive down the road until it hit the dirt. You watched out of the window as the sun started to fall. You were due a twenty minute drive, more or less, and by the time you arrived at the campsite it would be completely gone.
The trees passed you by in a blur. Ambrose was so far out from everything that you barely could recognize the difference between south and north. If it weren’t all you now knew, you’d never be able to find yourself.
“You fix that dodge?” you asked, leaning your head against the cool window.
“Just about. Have to get a couple things from the city,” he admitted.
“Well it’s a good thing we aren’t paying rent,” you joked. He gave you a half smile, for your benefit.
“How was Vincent?” he questioned, almost begrudgingly. You shrugged.
‘He’s good. Working on a new figure.”
“Always,” he muttered.
“It keeps him sane. We all have our vices.”
“Yeah, what’s yours?”
“You,” you said, smugly. He glanced over at you, taking his eyes clean off the road. “How about you Bo? What’s your vice?”
“Cars and beer.”
“Oh a typical southern man.” You pointed up the road. “Take a right up here.” The trees were now casting a dark shadow over the road. The sun was almost completely gone. “Are you armed?”
“Yeah,” he said. He reached into the glove box in front of you without a warning. You moved your knees, making an annoyed groan that had no heart in it.
“What’re you looking for?”
“Knife.” You rolled your eyes.
“Let me help.”
“No.” He moved his hands over your knees. You were wearing shorts, courtesy of the heat. Though you weren’t sure how long it would last. Had you thought longer, you would have changed before night fell. But that required doing laundry and you wanted to avoid that as much as you could. Your bare knees brushed against his hand. Still greased, rough from the constant manhandling.
“Bo.”
“Here.” He grabbed the hilt of a covered knife. “Better for slashing tires than yours.”
“You don’t even know what Lester got me.”
“I know this one is better.”
You drove in comfortable silence for a while more. The music played quietly, some trashy dad rock. He turned it down as you approached, listening for your directions. Finally you came to a rocky stop. He left the lights on. You could hear laughter from your window that was cracked open. The faint crackling of a fire. Fun was being had in front of you.
“This is my favorite part,” you whispered. Bo turned on the high beams and the laughter came to a slow stuttering stop. You sat up to see their faces. Two girls and two boys. Double dates. Camping trip gone wrong. You could imagine the headlines.
“Hey! Can you turn off your lights? You’re blinding us!” a voice called, a males. You sat up straighter to see but Bo put his hand in front of you. He gave you a warning look and you stopped moving. You settled into your seat.
“Hey man!”
There were more cries of protest. You watched Bo, watched as his face stayed steady. Calm. Focused.
Then he backed away. He pulled out of the dirt road and back down the street to wait for them to fall into deep sleep. They never followed the truck. You thought about that everytime you sat in it, wondering why they didn’t just walk down the road to see it sitting there in wait. Moments like those made you feel better about what eventually happened to them. Silly humans, making silly decisions.
Bo parked in the shrouded part of the streets.
“We really should put some blankets in the bed of the truck,” you suggested. You had taken off your seatbelt and put your feet up on the chair. You should’ve brought a book or something. “We sit here forever. We could take a nap.”
“Bring an alarm clock?”
“Yeah. Now you’re getting it.” He rolled his eyes. He had put his hat over his head to take a nap but you weren’t letting him. He had finally just put it back to its rightful position and continued the conversation.
“You know what else we could do in the bed?” You rolled your eyes.
“Alright alright.” You sat up. “How long is this gonna take?”
“This is why you never come.”
“Because I get bored of sitting here without a blanket, a book or a movie.”
“Stop being childish,” he mumbled. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a cigarette. He lit it easily, blowing the smoke out the window. He started the car.
“Time?”
He didn’t answer but he drove out of the spot, indicating that it was in fact, time.
-
He let you lead. He didn’t usually like to. He wanted to be in control with his smug shit eating grin as you watched him walk around. The adrenaline would kick in when he got back into the car with you and the urge to kiss you was never higher.
Today he let you do it. He let you do the count, walk around the campsite like a grim reaper with all the cards in her hand. He watched, leaning against the car, as you stalked.
Bo was clear in his expectations. Check quickly for weapons and then make sure there was no one hiding in the tents when you had driven by earlier. He would grab the part of the car needed to get them to stay.
Your footsteps were light on the dewy grass. The only indication you were there was the moon, highlighting your outline.
You could feel Bo’s eyes on you as you approached the first of two tents. It had a sheer roof. You could hear the even breathing of two sleeping people. One man, one girl. You were right on the dot, as you had been earlier.
You walked to the other tent. You wondered briefly what all the fuss was about as you saw the next one also had a sheer top. You glanced at Bo’s outline. The only real indication he was there was the red cigarette butt between his fingers.
When you looked back at the tent you came face to face with an unfamiliar man.
You gasped.
It was the loudest thing in the night as you saw a face you had never seen before, tall, broad, scary. You had thought Bo was scary when you first met him but he was nothing compared to this man now.
He wasted no time and no questions. He threw a punch.
You hadn’t been prepared for the confrontation and you had no time to retaliate. There was no knife in your hand when there should have been.
You stumbled back. There was a momentary blindness as you reached forward, throwing a punch that didn’t have a location. You grabbed your nose, which was already bleeding. The man had moved forward for more but you could see something had stopped in.
A fight in the dead of night was so confusing. It was dangerous and it was blinding. Your eyes weren’t caught up to the movement of the darkness. You were always going to be a step behind fast movement.
“Come on.” It was Bo’s voice, his hand grabbing your arm and dragging you away. You cursed, hand still over your face. You hit the truck and he let you go to get in your passenger seat. Bo pulled away, tires grumbling under the rock road. He drove quickly out of the scene. For once you were glad they didn’t think to follow.
“They didn’t see your face. It was too dark.”
You passed a street light. There was blood all over your hands.
Darkness.
“I’m sorry I didn’t hear…” Another street light. Dimmer one this time, like it was about to go out. You saw the blood on Bo’s knuckles as they gripped the steering wheel.
Bo pulled over when he thought it was safe enough. He didn’t tell you that but you could tell that he had been itching to pull over for miles. He turned on the overhead light and got out of the car. You stayed put as he walked around the front, opening up the passenger door.
“What’s hurtin?” he questioned lowly. He removed your hand forcefully. The blood trickled down your fingers and onto your lips.
“My nose,” you whispered. He shook his head, reopening the dashboard. He had napkins shoved in there.
“Don’t move.” He gently put his hand over your nose. “It’s gonna bruise. It ain’t broken.” You nodded slowly. You felt the natural tears well up in your eyes from the pain and the adrenaline wearing off. You pushed them aside, from fear of being weak in front of Bo. “Fucking hell,” he muttered. “That’s why you aren’t allowed to come along.”
“I can fight them when they’re in Ambrose,” you argued. “I thought they were all asleep. I saw two of them knocked o-”
“Not asleep enough. We should’ve waited, if you hadn’t been fuckin pestering me then we-”
“Don’t blame this on me! I was the one who got punched!”
“And I was the one who had to save your ass!” He backed up, shaking his head. He looked younger in the dim lighting of the dome bulbs. “I’m takin you back.” Before you could protest he walked to the other side of the car.
“Where are you going?”
“I’m gonna go kill the fucker.”
“Bo-”
“It’s gonna happen eventually, I’m gonna make it sooner. Ain’t no one allowed to hit you and get away with that.” You were still holding the napkins to your nose.
“I’m fine.”
“You’re not.” His voice was harsh. You would think he was angry at you if his words weren’t so genuine. “Don’t fuckin lie to me.”
“I’m not lying.”
“Sweetheart c’mon.” He glanced at you. He took a turn sharply. You were going way faster now than you had been on the way over. You guessed it would only take another five minutes to get back to town. “I’ll leave you with Vincent and you stay there alright?”
You nodded. You didn’t wanna argue.
-
Bo came back when dawn came. You were in between consciousness, still feeling the effects of your eventual concussion. You heard him come into the house. The screen door was loose and made noise when it shut. You sat up, hair strayed from tossing and turning.
You could hear Bo take off his boots. As he walked his steps became more labored. You met his eyes as he entered your bedroom. You waited.
“He’s dead.”
“I’m sorry.” He shook his head.
“You okay?” You nodded. He sat down beside you, swinging his knee up so he could get closer. He put his hand on your cheek, brushing your nose with his thumb as he examined your face. “Bruised.”
“You said that last night.”
“I wasn’t sure. I’m sure now.” You nodded. He kept his hand on your cheek, making sure there was no other damage.
“Thanks Bo,” you whispered. He nodded.
“Don’t fuckin do that again ‘lright?” You nodded back.
“Scouts honor.” He smiled smugly. He was loopy and tired. He could fall asleep sitting up. He took off his hat, removing his hand from your face. He ran his fingers through your hair. “Sleep,” you whispered.
“Here?”
“Why not? You saved my life tonight Bo.”
“You think I deserve a kiss for that?” The smug smile returned. You rolled your eyes and sat forward, putting your hand on his shoulder.
“I think I could arrange that.”
He turned his head and kissed you. The morning light seeped through the light curtains of your window. The sunrise promised a new day. You just wanted to go back to sleep. You cupped his cheek, leaning into his lips. You had always known Bo would be a good kisser but feeling it in action was a different story. You pulled away for air and put your forehead against his.
“Sleep. I think I’m concussed.” He scoffed, giving you a low chuckle.
“Alright sweetheart, scoot over.”

Poor us
Summary: You and Jimin have been living in poverty without parental help as they decided to disown you the moment you married the love of your universe. Life hasn't been easy ever since, but your love for each other and the will of building a family of your own may just be enough to concur all.
non-idol!jimin x pregnant!fem!reader
Warnings: pregnancy, poverty, medical issues, cold, malnutrition, childbirth
Word count: 2.9K
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You felt another blanket being placed on your body.
- Chim, I think that's enough, but thank you. - you breathed out sleepily, as Jimin carefully lays down next to you on the mattress placed on the floor.
- No, love! It's freezing. We need to make sure you don't catch a cold. That wouldn't be good considering you are 28 weeks.
He was right. Your tiny apartment was located in the poorest part of town, where cutting the water or gas was done weekly by authorities, since there was always something wrong with the system. Now not even the tiny heater in your miniature room was radiating any warmth, meaning the only things keeping you and your baby growing inside your womb warm were those few blankets you had.
- This was our last blanket though... now you have none. - you extended your hands, motioning him to lay under your blankets.
He hesitantly lifted the blankets and slipped under them, wrapping his protective arms around your waist to scoot you closer to his body. Of course, he was mindful of your bump, making sure not to crush your little one inside. A warm smile spread across his face, as he felt the baby wiggle against his torso. Moments like this reminded him, that rich, or not, life was beautiful.
- Now, go to sleep, okay? - ha pleaded, while softly caressing your hair and back. - You need a lot of rest.
- Okay... - you yawned. - But you too! Night.
- I hate that you still go to work.
- Jimin, we talked about this before! Women in my condition usually have maternity leave around their last month. I just started my seventh month, we have 3 left. - before he could cut you off, you continued. - Besides, we can't afford to have minus one working hand. We need the money. I already quit one of my jobs.
- Then I'll get another job.
- A fourth one? There's no way I'm letting that happen!
- Jagi...
You cut him off with a kiss. That kiss brought him comfort and reassurance. He still didn't like the fact that even after the doctor told you you were a bit underweight and should make sure you didn't lose any more if you wanted the baby to be healthy, you were still on your feet all that at work, which also included some physical labor. Ever since that day, he would skip meals, so you could eat more. Of course, he never told you this, because he knew you'd never let him do that.
- Good night!
- Good night, Love! - then he put his free hand on your tummy. - Night, night baby!
-
- Mrs. Park, - your doctor sighed. - even though you made some progress compared to last time, you still seem a little underweight. I want you to keep in mind that malnutrition doesn't only affect the fetus' development but can also send you into premature labor.
These were definitely news that you expected to hear at your 32-week check-up, and you had plenty of time to prepare yourself, but you still couldn't stop the tears from escaping your eyes. These facts being said out loud sent shivers down your spine and made your heart fill with worry for your precious baby.
Tears kept running and running down your red cheeks and no one was there to wipe them away. Jimin had work, which he couldn't miss, and the old lady, who called herself a doctor definitely wasn't the one who would calm you down. She was extremely unsympathetic. You just wished your husband was there, holding your hand.
The gynecologist printed out your ultrasound pictures and handed you the papers which contained the updates on your and the fetus' health.
You didn't have a car. None of you. So you had to walk all the way home, burning calories, which you couldn't afford to burn. But you had no other option. On your way to your apartment, you stopped in front of a bakery, just staring inside of the showcase, debating whether or not you should spend those few bucks you brought with you, on some nourishing pastries for yourself... more for your baby. The debate was obviously determined when you set your thin hands on your bump and felt your bundle of joy wiggle around. A soft, but sad smile appeared on your lips, and you went inside.
-
You sat in your scummy kitchen, munching on one of the cheese biscuits you bought earlier, when you hear the squeak of the front door, signaling that your husband was home. About time... it was 10 PM.
- Hi, My Love!
He took his shoes off and hugged you, caressing your back and pressing a gentle hand on your bump.
- How did your appointment go?
- It went great. - you lied.
- Can I see the papers?
You froze. Oh no! That will give everything away.
- Uhm... I lost it.
- Jagi... Please don't lie to me, okay?
You realized that there was no reason to lie to your husband any further. You dug deep into your duffel bag you've been taking with you everywhere for years now. The time took a toll on it as well. The rips and lose threads were becoming more and more evident.
In the end, you pulled out the folded medical papers, which will soon reveal your little secret to Jimin.
He carefully read through the words, making sure he wasn't missing any detail.
You didn't dare to look at him. You were scared. you expected scolding from him, words that would send you tears.
Instead, you just felt thin arms wrap around you and delicate hands running up and down your bump.
- Oh Jagi! - he breathed.
You couldn't help the tears. You were an emotional mess. Relief, sadness, worry, guilt...
- A-are you m-mad?
- No, no! I'm not, baby.
He carefully lifted you and slipped under you n the chair, so he could set you on his lap. He turned your head to look him in the eye and was quick to wipe the tears away, which were continuously pouring onto your shirt. He just kept wiping and wiping them.
- I'm just so worried, Jagi... But... don't you worry, My Love, okay? We'll work on it. You'll be fine! Perfectly healthy!
-
- Love! I'm home! - he said as he closed the door.
- Chim? - you breathe out shakily.
Jimin could immediately sense the discomfort in your voice, so he is quick to get into the tiny bathroom your voice could be heard from.
He dropped everything he had on him the moment he saw your distressed figure on the floor hunched over the toilet, hands on your 34-week bump, and rat to your side.
- Baby! It's okay, let it all out!
- I haven't been able to keep anything down today.
- Oh God! Why didn't you call me?
- I don't have any money on my phone... I couldn't call anyone.
Jimin cursed at himself for forgetting to charge money on your phone. It was a very dangerous move from him, especially now that you are nearing the end of your pregnancy.
- I'm having a contraction... - you panted as you clutched your abdomen, still sitting on the floor.
His hands carefully flew to rest on your stomach as he felt around. Your bump was rock-hard. He panicked. You weren't full-term yet.
- Are you sure? Maybe they are just Braxton hicks... - he held onto the last bit of hope he had.
- I'm not sure... I hope though. - you straightened your posture as the tight feeling in your stomach eased. - Chim... - tears started streaming from your eyes. - These don't feel like Braxton hicks. My baby...
- Shhh... It's alright, don't worry. We'll get you to the hospital.
-
- Mrs. Park, you are now in pre-term labor, but we can give you medication that might extend your pregnancy by a few more days or weeks.
- How much does it cost? - you ask, laying in the uncomfortable hospital bed with pink and blue bands strapped around your bump, which attached little machines to your skin to detect the baby's and your vitals.
- No! She'll have it! - Jimin said with much confidence.
- Chim...
You could barely afford the hospital bills for your labor and delivery. You didn't need to add any more to that sum.
- Can we get a moment, please? - your husband addressed your doctor.
- Of course. - she walked outside.
Jimin sat down next to you on the bed, his eyes flaming as he stared at the bands and machines attached to your still small bump. At least compared to how far along you were. Baby didn't weigh much and you were supposed to work on that in the remainder of your pregnancy.
And while Jimin's stare was livid, he stroked your hand and talked in the most gentle way possible.
- You are getting that medicine. I'm not letting my baby have potential risks or even die!
- I know, Ji-
The next contraction hit you out of nowhere. You curled around your hardened stomach and gripped Jimin's shirt.
- Breathe, breathe! - he whispered.
- I know, - you started as the contraction ended. - and it's the last thing I want as well. But tell me honestly how will we pay for that. That shit is expensive and we d-don't even have baby products yet.
That's when the tears spilled.
- It's okay, - he wiped your eyes. - I'll make sure everything is perfectly fine. You'll have that medicine and won't worry about the bills. I'll sort everything out.
His tone calmed you a bit, just enough to stop crying. But it didn't free you from the concern you felt about your child's well-being.
Your husband called the doctor back in, who immediately started preparing the procedure.
- No, no! - you whined. - No needles, Chim...
- Shhh... - he stroked your hair. - Just focus on me. Think about how is you are strong now, we'll have a strong baby in a few weeks.
So you did. You were strong and the IV was in, pouring some fluid into you. You didn't look at it, but you were nauseous non the less.
Just in time, a nurse assisting the doctor shoved a bowl in front of you. You let out the contest of your stomach. You didn't know you had anything left in you, and now, vomiting with Jimin tying your back with an emergency hair tie on his wrist, then rubbing your back.
- We're going to wait now and see how your contractions turn out. If they stop, we'll do a check on the baby and determine whether you are safe to go back home or now. If they continue to progress, we'll get ready for delivery.
So you waited there in the arms of your husband. Breathing through contractions and praying. Praying that the medicine worked and that your baby is okay.
Hours went by, but the constant pains tormenting you never stopped.
- Mr. and Mrs. Park, I'm afraid there's no other solution, we have to go through with the delivery.
Your heart ached. You wished you could give your beloved child, whom you haven't seen yet but lived with everything you had, a bright future. You wanted them to grow up in comfort and love at the same time. These are things you got to experience in your life, only never at the same time. Comfort you had while in the care of your parents, but love you only ever found when comfort was taken away, with Jimin.
A strong contraction ripped through your abdomen, squeezing your helpless baby inside. Jimin was close to tears himself.
- Breath, beautiful. You've got this. - he whispered with a broken voice.
You would have thought that this little gesture (him reminding you to breath) would be useless and would only agitate you, but thanks to him you realized you've been holding your breath which didn't help with the pain. As soon as you were reminded by him you let as much air into your lungs as possible and that relieved a lot of pressure from your stomach.
At some point the pain got extremely bad. No matter what you did, walking around, or squatting, the pressure was worse than ever amd could no longer be relieved by breathing.
- Wow, that was a big one. - the nurse exclaimed as she inspected the red line on the monitor, possibly measuring the intensity of your contractions. - How do you feel about some kind of pain relief?
The word "yes" was at the very tip of your tongue, it wanted to escape faster than light travels. But a voice, that has been chanting the same word over and over again since the day of your engagement, stopped you. Money.
- What do you suggest? - your husband asked after seeing your doubtful gaze.
-No... Ugh... I- W-we can't... - you huffed in the middle of feeling your baby squirming in discomfort as your belly hardens again.
- What do you suggest? - Jimin asked again, this time with a much more impatient voice, ignoring your protests.
- At this point it would be too late for the epidural, but I would recommend either oxygen, or gas. Oxygen is great for your lung capacity, helping you with breathing, amd gas kind of works like a drug. It's completely harmless of course, it has a numbing effect, so your brain can't process pain the way it is now, making it seem less intense.
- Jim-Jimin! You no we can't-
- We'll take oxygen.
After a bit of time and a lot of convincing from your husband, the nurse brought all the equipment needed and soon you had a mask-like plastic thing in your hand. She showed you how to use it and you were good to go. You were hesitant at first, but after feeling the difference it made, you couldn't resist anymore.
Jimin was relieved to see you have some break from the constant torture. That break, however, didn't last long.
A sudden strange urge and pressure broke you from your relaxed state. Your water broke and the contractions, which brought your baby so low, came almost immediately after each other.
- I ned to PUSH! - with that last word you were pushing, there was no going back.
Jimin worriedly smacked the calling button above your head, and 3 nurses entered the room, taking their places around you like the professionals they were.
They quickly understood that you prefered being encouraged with gentle words, not like some who needed them to shout like a football coach. You were scared for your baby, who would be born prematurly into this cold world, without a warm home, without a place to sleep. Damn... you don't even have a crib yet.
The only thing that allowed you ta stay focused was the thought of your little baby being in your arms, and Jimin's heartwarming words. These two pushed you forward.
- IT BURNS! - you scream in pure agony.
- Push through it! It means you're doing it right. - one of the nurses assured.
To be honest you couldn't tell the difference between them at this point. You could barely even see, your vision was so blurred by the tears pouring down your cheeks.
- We're so close baby! So, so close. It'll all be over.
Oh how wrong he was...
Once this part comes to an end the rest and most difficult part begins.
Several pushes and one last scream later the pain faded into nothing and for the first time in your life, you smiled when a baby cried.
You remember countless times when on long plane rides a baby was close to you on an aircraft you silently cursed at all living species on Earth. You would do so again when you realize you forgot to bring your headphones, and you'd have to listen to the annoying wailing sounds of an uncontrollable infant. Now, however, it was the world's most wonderful sound.
He was alive, breathing, gunky and slimy, just covered in all kinds of birth fluids, but he was the most beautiful thing that's ever existed on this planet.
You became a mother.
A mother to a child whose father is the love of your universe. You chuckled at the silly thought. Of course, how else would it be?
Your beautiful newborn son was placed on your chest and his warmth made you forget all the hardships you've faced and the ones you'll have to face once this moment is over. He was tiny but had a healthy set of lungs and an even healthier heart, which was all you cared about. His squished face scrunched even more with his cries. You were in love for the second time in your life. You never thought your love could get bigger, you imagined becoming a mother would split your love into two, half for your husband, half for the new addition to the family. But you were so wrong!
- Our little son. - the voice of your husband pulled you out of the state of mind you were in. He pulled you out to be with him. Him and your son so you could enjoy these moments with those who matter. Who you live for.
- Thank you Jimin...
Wordgirl Villains go on a road trip (headcanons)
To fit all of them, they stole rented out a bus
Leslie is driving the bus while Mr Big stands next to her for a majority of the time, controlling the music. All he plays is Tiny Big songs
Two Brains almost gets stuck playing a game of eye-spy with his henchmen, before he somehow convinces Ms Question to play with them.
Lady Redundant Woman fills up literally any empty seat with one of her clones, while the original somehow gets stuck sitting next to Royal Dandy, who keeps whining about everything.
Eileen put Maria in a jar so that she could hold her. If anyone questions why she insisted on putting the giant sentient energy creature in a jar to take with her, Eileen just responds with "She's my birthday present!"
Probably the strangest reveal of the whole trip is that the Whammer apparently has some pretty intense road rage. Someone has to convince him to not get up and wham all the traffic out the way.
Granny May and Hal Hardbargain are forced to sit next to each other, and the entire time they just complain about how "back in their day, the people actually knew how to drive"
Tobey, Victoria, and Captain Tangent are all forced to sit by each other because they're all kids. Tobey and Victoria are forced to sit in agony as Tangent literally won't stop talking.
The Butcher somehow manages to sneak by to change the music, to the relief of everyone except Mr Big.
Brent insisted he should come along so that he could bond some more with Chuck. The two sit next to each other, making forced and awkward small talk.
If having the Whammer being a Road Rager wasnt enough, the Learnerer is also sitting in the front, criticizing literally every driving move Leslie makes. It takes everything in Leslie's power to not get up and slam the Learnerer against the wall.
Timmy Tim-Bo is passed out in the middle of the bus.
Nocan is, for some reason, confused over the concept of traffic. Whenever someone tries to explain why the bus isn't moving, he just doesn't get it. "Cars are in front of us? No, NO cars are in front of us!"
Big Left Hand Guy is stuck making sure Invisi-Bill doesnt get up and do something stupid, which gets progressively harder as Invisi-Bill gets progressively more fidgety.
Do you ever notice how when Seymour's in a vehicle, he's the one driving it? That's because if he's the passenger in any vehicle, he gets horrendously car sick. Like 'I'm so nauseous i can't even keep my eyes open' kind of car sick. And the Coach is stuck sitting next to him.
Reason and Rhyme joined in on the car trip because they thought that it would be a fun experience and they'd get to bond with the other villains. While Rhyme is having fun, Reason is regretting the decision because it's loud, the bus smells horrible for several reasons, and there are still 4 hours left of the trip.
Amazing Rope Guy gets forgotten at a random gas station in Delaware.
“Is this some kind of sick joke, Bryant?”
I leaned my head against the payphone door – watching as Nikki filled up his car. “Afraid not.”
Wyatt stayed silent for a moment, my surprising news turning more into a nightmare as the minutes passed. He let out a sigh, “You’re 20 years old – got your whole life ahead of you but you decide to fuck it all up by eloping that idiot.” His usually soothing voice dripped with anger.
It was a total whim – Nikki and I were just sitting around, and he brought up the idea of getting married. We’d been together for a year almost and the thought of marriage never crossed my mind. I didn’t even think Nikki found our relationship to be serious half the time. He had dreams of becoming a rockstar – a wife – the old ball and chain – would only hinder that dream. There was no ring – no getting down on one knee. It was basically you have this one chance to say yes and get it done or it’ll never happen again. We scrounged up enough money to get a marriage license and were married the next day at the courthouse. A random guy from the street was our witness – Nikki buying him a bottle of booze as payment. It wasn’t the fairytale wedding most girls dream of, but it worked for us.
“I thought maybe you would have a change of heart and be happy for us.”
An annoyed laugh rang through the receiver, “Be happy for you – Bryant, you need to be married to this kid like you need a hole in the head. I’ve told you from day one that he wasn’t the one – have you're fun and then leave. You need to be with a man that has structure – someone with a steady income – I don’t give a shit if the guy works on Wall Street or at the gas station on the corner, Nikki is not the man you need in your life.”
“That’s rich coming from you, Uncle Wyatt.” I muttered.
This seemed to piss him off even more – “And what the hell is that supposed to mean?”
I played with the phone cord, unsure of what to say. “It’s just –“
“Just what, Katherine?” His tone aggressive as he used my legal name. “Now that you’re married, you think that you can talk to people however you want? Just remember this little girl-“ He paused. “I’ve known guys like Nikki all my life – Hell, I’ve been one of those guys and I know how they pick one girl, stay for a bit, and then move on to the next thing. Don’t come crying to me when he kicks your ass to the curb when the next little hottie crosses his path...”
I could pick the man out of a sea of people.
His hair was a little longer than I last remember – his clothing changing with the times and trends. The fancy sports-car that the guys purchased for him glistened in the California sun – the sun hitting the red paint just right.
“There she is.” His arms spreading open expecting me to jump right into them for one of his ‘famous hugs.’
“Hey, Doc.” I forced a smile as he pulled me in.
His touch felt more like relief than welcoming – kind of like a forced thank you for coming and saving my ass. “I’ve missed you, kid.”
I pulled away first as he took in my appearance. It’d been almost three years since we’ve seen each other – a lot of things changing in that time. “You look great.” He smiled. “More mature – nothing like that little girl I met backstage.”
“Yeah, well –“I shuffled nervously. “Someone had to grow up and become the adult.”
His eyes locked with mine, squinting as my words coursed through his brain. “May look different but that attitude is still the same.” He pulled my suitcase out of my hand, placing it in the trunk as I placed myself in the passenger seat. I took a couple deep breaths – the reality of what was about to happen finally hitting me. I was cool as a fucking cucumber the whole flight – only worrying that Wyatt would pop up at any second and drag me off the plane by my boots. I didn’t think about what I would do or say when I finally saw Nikki again. I already knew that he wasn’t going to be happy – raging would be more like it.
The thought of if this was a good idea was now creeping into my psyche. Hannah’s warning to watch my moves and have an escape plan just in case he’s bad enough where he tries to harm me played on repeat as Doc drove through the canyon. From the way he was going, Nikki still lived in the same house.
“So-“Doc smiled. “What’s been happening with you lately? Last I heard you were living in South Carolina.”
I glanced at him through my shielded lenses, rolling my eyes. “Just living life.” I was short.
“You got a job?” He continued to press.
“No –“I turned to look at him. “I just live off my good looks and hope old men want a young plaything to leave all their money too.”
His face instantly fell as he glanced at me – my face expressionless as he fumbled to form a sentence.
He chose to end the conversation after that leaving the rest of the journey completely silent. I was somewhat grateful but talking made me forget about my internal thoughts – the ones eating away at my emotions...
“Where are we even going?”
I watched as million-dollar homes passed by as we travelled further into the hills. Nikki remained silent – his eyes hidden behind his dark shades – a stoic expression on his stubbled face. We had been driving for almost 30 minutes – silence taking up most of that time. I could tell from his body language that he was nervous. His body was stiff as he kept both hands on the steering wheel. He was home from the first leg of the Shout at the Devil tour – the guy I had known before tour started was left somewhere on an abandoned highway. Nikki was different – a little distant – more focused on the drugs and booze than before.
Instead of saving the money that was coming in from the shows, he and the rest of the band went on a spending spree – laying thousands down on new cars, expensive clothes, and the finest designer powder they could get their mitts on. It was a nice feeling not to be struggling anymore but Nikki was going through the money like water in the desert. His habit went from a couple bumps here or there to being desperate for the next fix. Shady looking characters were in our apartment every night as he got ready to go out with the guys. They followed him around like a puppy would their owner – Nikki was their client – he had the money, and they had the blow.
I kept glancing at him as he concentrated on the road, “Is there a party up here or something?”
He cleared his throat, slinking further into the leather seat of the Camaro. “No.” His answer simple.
“Then why the hell are we u-“
He stopped the car in front of a large home – the exterior darker than those around. “Welcome home.” His voice flat. I looked between him and the house – confusion written all over my face.
“What?”
“You wanted a house, didn’t you?”
I stayed quiet for a second – trying to process the situation. “Are you trying to tell me you bought a house – this house – and you didn’t bother to ask me how I would feel about that?” I pointed towards the home; my eyes fixed on Nikki.
He ignored the question, driving past the gate that secured the house from the open road. The driveway was long and steep – the house sitting perfectly on the hilltop. It was an open landscape – not many trees and the perfect view of those that lived in the valley.
“Nikki – you can’t be serious right now?” He placed the car in park – turning the engine off before removing himself from the car. I didn’t wait for him to let me out, hastily slamming the door shut as he rounded the passenger side. “Please tell me you didn’t buy this house?”
“You know-“He smiled as he removed his sunglasses – the telltale signs of last night written all over his face. “You bitch about living in a small apartment but yet here you are bitching me out for buying you a beautiful house.”
I raised my hands in the air, “I didn’t ask you to buy me a fucking house, Nikki!”
He rolled his jaw in anger as I vented about how we were supposed to be saving money and not throwing it away on things that we didn’t need or things we could wait for. I was perfectly content in staying in the apartment – hell, it was better than the one he was in when I first met him. I made sure to keep it clean and we shared the rent 50/50. Just because Motley had become a success didn’t mean that I wanted him spending that hard earned money on a house. We had plenty of time to look at houses – a house we would both love – not the first one that had a for sale sign.
“Fine –“His voice low. “You don’t want to the fucking house – “He hastily reached into his shirt pocket fishing out the key before throwing it as hard as he could down the embankment. “Then no one will fucking get the house!”
“Are you out of your fucking mind?!” My anger exploded as I raced to find the key. He stood behind, leaning against the black hood. I knew it was gonna be like finding a fucking needle in a haystack – the only chance of getting into the house would be to break in...
Doc’s car pulled up the familiar driveway – Nikki’s overzealous purchases sitting in front of the house. “I’ve always hated this house.” I muttered.
“Yeah-“Doc smirked. “Nikki’s made mention of it a time or two.” He placed the car in park – a knowing sigh slipping past his lips. “Ready for this, kid?”
I tucked my lip between my teeth – a nervous habit I had since childhood. “Ready for it like a hole in the head I guess.”
He chuckled at my answer, walking up the stairs ahead of me. The day I left kept flashing in my mind – the way my shoes hit the stone steps – Nikki trying to follow behind but stumbling from the drugs. Doc unlocked the door using his personal key that he had made, telling me that he had keys to all the guy’s houses. Stepping across the threshold showed me just how much he had changed. The once bright living room was now painted in a dark red – black, leather furniture scattered around the room. The house was an absolute mess! Liquor bottles, beer cans, food containers, and clothes littered the living room and kitchen.
“You can’t afford to get him a housekeeper?” My nose turned up at the smell. “This place is a fucking pigsty, Doc.”
He waved me off as he started towards the staircase. From what I could see, all the doors to the rooms were closed – the bedroom we shared being off to the left side. “Let me go see if he’s up and decent.” I nodded my head, looking around in disgust at the mess.
Gold and platinum records lined the walls – older photographs joining here and there. The photos that hung while we were together were nowhere to be found – probably burned and turned to ash. Heavy footsteps sounded as the person descended the stairs – my heart starting to race at the thought of seeing Nikki again.
Doc appeared seconds later, “He’s not here.” He spoke out of breath. “Fucking needles and baggies are lying all over the closet floor – probably got high and left for God knows where.”
I threw my purse on the couch, taking a haphazard seat as Doc began to pace the room.
“When’s the last time you seen him?” His eyes connecting with mine.
He thought about it for a second, “Probably three – four days ago I guess.”
I looked up at the ceiling, my tolerance for him starting to waver. “You have a guy that’s actively addicted, knocking on death’s fucking door, and the last time you laid eyes on him was four days ago? Are you fucking kidding me, Doc?”
“I talked to him on the phone the day before yesterday and he sounded fine. I can’t be on babysitting duty twenty-four fucking seven, Bryant. I have other bands that need me –“
“No-“ I cut him off. “You have other cash cows that are out there killing themselves so you can make a name for yourself and have money in your pocket.”
He ran a hand through his thinning hair, “I didn’t bring you out here so you can rip me a new one, Katherine.”
My anger finally coming through, “Don’t fucking call me that.” My finger pointed in his face. “You don’t have the right or luxury to ever call me by my real name.”
“And who has that luxury, Bryant?” He pressed. “Your fucking ex-husband who’s out there killing himself because you fucking left him? You know you may think it’s my fault that Nikki is the way he is, but you’re just as much to blame. He didn’t get bad until you sent the fucking divorce papers – this is on you, sweetheart.”
“Fuck you.” I pushed past him, making my way to the front door.
I started walking down the driveway, not even caring that the sun was starting to set, and I didn’t have anywhere to go or anyone to pick me up. I made it about halfway down before Doc’s car came up beside me. “Get in the car, Bryant.” His voice monotone. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that in my 25 years of being on this planet. That was my go-to move anytime Nikki pissed me off and we happened to be in the car. Hell, there was sometimes I would just get out of the car at a red light and start walking down the busy street.
“I’m sorry –“ I turned to look at him. “I don’t accept rides from assholes.” My boots slapping against the concrete.
Doc let out a string of curse words, finally stopping the car as he got out and tried to catch up. His fingers grabbed tightly onto my wrist, spinning me around into his body. “Fucking stop, Bryant.” His breathing ragged. “I already have enough to deal with and you acting like a fucking brat doesn’t need to be added to the plate.” I pushed the hair out of my face, yanking my arm out of his hold.
I waited a second as he walked back to his sports car before inching my way back to the passenger side. I may have slammed the door a little too hard, earning a look from Doc as he drove to the main road.
“Vince is throwing a party-“He spoke. “My guess is Nikki’s probably there since all the dealers are there.”
“He’s like a month flying to a bug zapper.” I mumbled.
The drive to Vince’s beachside mansion didn’t take long – traffic being light for that area. Different cars surrounded the home as music blared out of the open windows. I watched as people moved out of the way as Doc drove up to the front – those outside looking to see who was arriving. I didn’t bother waiting for Doc this time – getting out and stomping up the staircase.
I had no idea where he could be – the house was ginormous. The music grew louder as I neared the living room – a circular couch sitting in the middle of the room. A tall skinny guy was the first person I noticed – still having the same stupid haircut he had when we first met. Tom was a fish out of water in the world he lived – the opposite of Motley Crue. It still amazed me to this day that he was the reason Motley got signed.
My eyes moved across the couch, a head full of jet-black hair bent over a silver serving tray caught my attention. I watched as the lines that were perfectly placed vanished as the rolled up bill moved in a vertical motion. His head popped up for a moment, rubbing his nose as the high was hitting.
“I see you found him.” Doc stood next to me. “This is mild compared to what he’s usually doing.” I kept my eyes trained on Nikki as he talked to Mick and Tom – laughing at whatever they were saying. “Bring back memories?”
I glanced at Doc, rolling my eyes before walking towards the white couch. Nikki was in his own world that he didn’t even notice that someone was getting closer. Tom was the first to notice, his jaw dropping to the floor as his eyes grew wide.
“Holy shit.”
Nikki and Mick looked up to see what caused Tom’s reaction, Nikki’s eyes connecting with mine. It took him a moment before his smile started to fall – sobering up within seconds.
All right friends let me tell you about my day because either I vent or I go to jail for murder
I don't even know who I'd murder but I would
Day starts out normal enough. I've been having an issue where my pharmacy did not autorefill the medication I need for my autoimmune disorder, without which I am in constant pain and will suffer deformity and mobility loss but you know, other than that
Until about noon I'm making some nice progress on a story I'm writing. Then I get stuck. It happens.
I check the pharmacy website and it says there was an error with my prescription and to call the pharmacy, so I do. They say they'll fill and I get a robot call about half an hour later saying the prescription is ready and my out of pocket cost is 120 USD
wait what
this medication has always cost me 20 USD
what the fuck
whatever, I tell myself. I'll get it sorted out after work when I go to pick it up.
At this point I check my email. Message from my auto insurance saying they never received my payment, and my coverage will expire in two days.
I call them. I explain I mailed the payment on July 9. They say they received a notification from USPS on the 11th that the payment was on its way, but then they never got it. And they consider payments lost in the mail if they aren't received within 15 days of being mailed. And today was exactly 15 days since I mailed the payment.
So I pay again, online this time, with the promise that if they receive the check, they'll refund the cost. Now bear in mind I pay the full amount at once rather than the monthly so there is a 900+ dollar check floating around in the backrooms somewhere right now, which does not make me feel great
Work ends. I go to the pharmacy. I'm like why is this 20 dollar medication suddenly 120 dollars? The pharmacist is like "Yeah that's weird. We ran it through your insurance like we always do. You should call them."
So I call them. After some time on hold, I get an agent. I explain what's going on. He's like "Yeah that's weird. Let me call the pharmacy."
I spend the next half hour listening to hold music as I pace around the pharmacy and when I get taken off hold, I'm now speaking to a pharmacy person instead of my insurance guy.
Apparently my insurance decided, unbeknownst to me because there were certainly no emails or letters, that for medications I take every day, they now want me to get ninety days at a time. Which, okay fine, whatever. But if I don't get this either by mail or through Specific Pharmacy My Insurance Works With, then it's an out of pocket cost.
Again, some random pharmacy worker had to tell me this. Not my insurance.
But wait there's more. Currently all my prescriptions are for a thirty day supply, so even if I immediately transfer them to Specific Pharmacy, I still won't get my prescriptions refilled without a bunch of rigamarole because they're supposed to be for ninety days now
(What does this do to birth control, you may ask? Fuck if I know.)
so what I need to do is to call my doctor's offices to have them transfer the prescriptions and change it from 30 to 90 days. which, great, but I have been without the necessary medication for a week now and I can't wait any longer, so I suck it up and prepare to pay 120 USD
Now by the grace of God, the pharmacy tech heard my plight and was like "that's some bullshit" and by reducing it back down to 30 days and also getting coupons involved, he was able to get the cost down to 28 dollars
so you'd think "Well at least there was a happy ending"
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE
So at this point my car is nearly out of gas. So I drive across the street from the pharmacy to the gas station. Get out of the car. Put in my card. Yada yada. And instead of asking me to lift the nozzle and select the fuel type, it says "Thank you! Take your receipt!"
The fuck?
I go ask the cashier.
"Yeah, it does that sometimes. Try it again."
I try it five more times. Every time "Thank you! Take your receipt!"
I drive to another pump. It happens AGAIN.
I go back to the cashier.
"Oh, it must be something wrong with your card."
Now maybe I'm weird but in my experience when your card declines, the message you get is "Card declined" or "Chip malfunction" or "Card error." Messages that I have gotten at this very gas station. But apparently that made too much sense, so they switched over to "Thank you! Take your receipt!"
The lady tells me I can pay at the desk. I wait five minutes before I can pay at the desk because the pump has not cleared out the last "Thank you! Take your receipt!" transaction. She tells me she would send me over to the pump to press cancel, but it would take too long. Then she has me do it anyway.
In conclusion, my heart is full of rage.
Following this fanart of Nacho lazying in Lalo's Monte Carlo, I felt inspired enough to write a little something to go with it! So, here is a little one shot, hope you enjoy! This has been done in one go, I didn't even gave it a second reading, so I apologize in advance for any mistakes! word count: 1,8 K pairing : Eduardo Lalo Salamanca / Ignacio Nacho Varga
Read it on AO3
Territory
Nacho sighed.
It must have been the tenth time in the last hour. They were lost. Nacho was sure of it. They were on a tiny dusty road in the middle of nowhere. Nacho never went that far in the desert. Lalo's reassurance sounded dull.
“My source is secure.”
“Stop panicking, Nachito. I know what I'm doing.”
“We took all the water and everything you insisted to take with us, why are you still panicking?”
“It's just a few miles away.”
“Just another few miles, really.”
Nacho rested his temple against his hand, elbow propped on the car's door. The air of the desert was rushing inside the vehicle, providing a bit of coolness, the only good thing about this whole trip into the freaking desert.
“There is no freaking racing tracks out there. Your source doesn't know shit.”
Lalo's fingers were tapping to the rhythm of the music. Because of course Lalo had to make the situation the most insufferable for Nacho.
“Have a bit of faith, Ignacio!”
The Monte Carlo stuttered.
“Oh.” Lalo said, eloquently.
Nacho looked over to the board. “What is it?” When he got no answer he switched to Lalo's face. He looked serious for the first time since they left Albuquerque. The car chattered, slowing down. Lalo grimaced.
“Uh.”
The car was slowing down. Nacho sat straighter, peering at the needles on the board. Low on gas. Anger suddenly flaring up in his guts.
“Oh you better be fucking kidding me Lalo.”
Lalo steered the Monte Carlo to the side of the road, slowing until they stilled. The lack of wind immediately made the air less breathable. At least it wasn't too early in the day.
“You didn't fill up the tank before leaving for a trip in the desert?!”
“It's fine! I have a jerrycan in the truck anyway.”
Lalo turned to Nacho, and he dared to pull up a bright smile at him.
“I'll go check it all. You try to relax, eh? I got this.”
Lalo patted Nacho's thigh before stepping out of the car. Nacho was going to slaughter him.
Nacho sat in the car for maybe a minute, glaring at Lalo through the rear-view mirror as the man went to retrieve the can of gasoline. His temper flared up again when Lalo took a pensive stance before the fuel tank instead of pouring the damn thing inside. There was a problem. Nacho gritted his teeth as he stepped out, walking around to see what was going on.
“What are you waiting for?”
Lalo padded around the car, before crouching to take a look under it.
“I think there is a hole in the tank.”
Nacho looked over to the horizon, eyes scanning without really watching, anything not to see Lalo anymore. He pinched his lips, bringing a hand to squeeze the edge of his nose, and cursed.
“Great. What now?”
Lalo was back on his feet, and fished his phone in his pocket. He turned a bit in circle, phone up in the air. “Hm... Looks like there really is no service out here, uh?”
Nacho grabbed his own phone. No service. He looked around them. The really elevated relief were quite far. Nacho jumped onto the Monte Carlo's hood. Lalo protested, stepping forward as if he was about to grab for Nacho's leg. Nacho glared down at him, stepping over the roof of the vehicle. Lalo didn't insist. Nacho extended his arm up in the air. Still, his flip phone indicated no service.
When he looked down, Lalo was looking up at him. “I think we need to walk. We could try these hills.” He nodded behind Nacho.
Nacho looked over, and sure, maybe they may have a chance with those. He looked back at Lalo, who was waiting an answer with an eyebrow turn up in question. Nacho jumped off the roof, landing beside Lalo, supple like a cat.
“You.”
Lalo frowned, “Me, what?”
Nacho tucked his hands at his hips. “You need to walk. You could try these hills.”
Lalo opened his mouth, his frown deepening but Nacho was the first to speak. “You decided to bring us out here, following what was clearly a fake info, and you got us lost here. So you are going to solve that freaking situation that you caused.”
Nacho stepped away, circling back around the car to reach the passenger side again, clearly putting an end to the conversation. He was furious. Yet, Lalo wasn't finished.
“So what? We're in this together aren't we? We have more chance to get out of here if we work together.”
Nacho sent him a razor sharp look as he pulled the backrest of his seat forward, before briefly disappearing inside the Monte Carlo. He straightened back up, and threw a bottle of water at Lalo. Lalo caught it easily. The cold temperature of it a big contrast with the desert's warmth. Nacho rested a foot on the edge of the car, right next to the seat, and when his eyes met Lalo's, they still had this sharpness to them.
“I'll guard our supplies. You better start walking right now, the sun will not be up for very long and those hills aren't that close.”
And with no further consideration, Nacho threw his seat back in place before sitting back inside the car, rested his head against the leather and sighed once again, loud and dramatic.
—
Lalo's hike to the hills went fine. It was hot, but not as hot as it could have been if they left in the morning. But Lalo had everything planned.
Him and Nacho had this thing going on between them since weeks now, and Lalo had yet to finish playing with his new very entertaining mouse. Nacho was unlike the men he usually met and dated. More capable. Stronger. Smarter. And much more handsome. He couldn't recall any of his past lovers to be that pretty.
As he falsely checked his phone on top of the hills, just in case his Nachito was supervising his every actions, Lalo smiled. He didn't lie when he told Nacho he had this. Soon he'll make his cariño feel better, the unlucky incident becoming a nice moment to share and they'll be laughing about this whole thing in the future. He was so sure of it.
When he approached the Monte Carlo, the sun was far lower over the horizon, painting the sky in purple and blue. Nacho was half-laying down in the car, absolutely not looking in his direction after all. The windows were closed. The air felt cooler, but Lalo doubted Nacho felt comfortable yet. It must still be quite warm inside.
Lalo padded around the car, abandoned his half empty bottle on the roof, and bent down to take a look inside. Nacho had stripped from his shirt, his red under shirt and muscled arms crossed over his abdomen, left to see. One leg tucked over his knee. His eyes were closed. Lalo knocked on the window just to see if it would startle his little Nachito.
Nacho didn't startle. He didn't even flinch. He simply opened his eyes to glare at Lalo.
“So?”
Lalo shrugged, shaking his head no. “No service.”
He went to open the door. It didn't open. He had left the keys on the ignition.
He looked back up at Nacho, who had unfolded his arms, spreading them over the board and backrest of his seat. He then extended his legs until his booted feet rested on Lalo's seat.
“Too bad.”
Lalo's blood ran faster in his veins.
“Open the door.” His voice was colder.
Nacho smirked. “I don't think so.”
Lalo huffed a laugh, his tone now really stripped of any amusement. “You don't think so?”
Nacho briefly looked hesitant, but it only lasted a fraction of a second before his eyes were looking back at him with this signature sharpness again.
“There isn't enough room for the both of us.” Lalo knew there was. If there was enough space to fuck, there was enough space to sleep. “And you don't even sleep much anyway. Keep walking around to find some service.”
“You can't be serious, Ignacio. It'll get cold at night.”
“Walking keeps you warm.”
Lalo kept staring back for a few seconds, teeth gritting, before he straightened back up, eyes scanning the horizon. His thoughts ran fast. Well, his little plan to get his Nachito have a little fun tonight under the stars was compromised. But he could still turn the table. A smirk pulled at his lips.
—
Nacho woke up with a painful neck. He had tried to use his shirt as a pillow to make the angles of the Monte Carlo less sharp, but there was no solution to really sleep comfortably in a car.
He brushed the sleep out of his eyes. The sun was barely over the horizon. No Lalo in sight.
Nacho unlocked the car doors, stepped out, stretched a little to try and make his limbs less stiff. He circled the vehicle, blinking at the landscape to try and catch a sight of Lalo, but there was none. He didn't left him here alone, right? Nacho didn't hear any car passing by during the night.
He found Lalo once he reached the other side of the car. He was sitting on the dirt road, back against the driver door. Lalo looked up at him, and smiled. Nacho wasn't really expecting him to smile after treating him like he did. He was really angry yesterday, he realized.
“Hola cariño. Slept well?”
Nacho raised an eyebrow. “No. Your car is a hell to sleep in.”
Lalo grinned and nodded, as if he knew how uncomfortable it actually was to spend a full night of sleep inside the Monte Carlo. He stood up, dusting his jeans and shirt.
“Ready to go?”
Nacho frowned, crossing his arms over his chest. “Very funny.”
Lalo bent down to pick up the jerrycan, and flipped it in the air, catching it back before padding back to the truck. It looked empty. What the fuck.
“What the fuck?” Nacho echoed his thought.
Nacho went to his knees, bending down to look under the car to see the gasoline leak in the dust.
“Did the cold made you completely dumb or—”
The ground was perfectly dry. Realization turned his blood to ice. His breath caught in his throat. There was never a problem with the car. Everything was fake. Nacho ruined what he now saw as Lalo's plan all along. A plan for them to spend a moment together. A nice moment. He was an imbecile.
Lalo's booted feet stopped right beside him, and Nacho sat back on his heels to look up at him, breath short. Lalo's dark eyes looked empty as he smiled back at him.
“Already on your knees to beg for forgiveness?”
PLEASE HELP
Hi. I hate asking for help, but if I don't ask, I won’t get it.
Only a few people here know I was in a car accident back in February that totaled my car. I was, and am, fine. But it took forever for insurance to come through, and I ended up missing work through the end of the school year. (I drive at risk kids to and from school.)
Because of all of this I didn't get another car until last month. After doing all the things to be ready for this school year, I was late to being assigned a regular route. And now I'm here. I have work coming up to fill in for someone going on vacation, but it won't pay out until the 11th of next month. Thank you, wacky pay schedule.
In the meantime, I have a car payment, insurance payment, and a need for gas coming up. I have enough to pay for one but not both payments. If I could get around 400 to 500 dollars, it would help immensely.
I would be willing to write fic, beta fic, even do a cross-stitch piece as thanks. I know tumblr people are the best people. Thank you for reading this.
My PayPal is KatyHart. CashApp is 2ndAlto.
Again, thank you. Any amount helps. May you all be blessed.
