ppl on here and on twitter got really weird about the ear flicking scene. kind of disregarding that shiv was acting like a 6 yr old and then that he retaliated also like a 6 yr old. we actually have no idea what their dynamic was like before the events of the show and i think this was a peek into that. shiv is a little mean to him and he’s a little mean back but his type of mean is very weird (barnacle??) and that weirdness itself might have been intriguing to shiv at some point. her own little meow meow who makes really weird comparisons and references to things she’s never heard of or cared about.

Due to issues with Jack’s fertility, the Fenton kids were both conceived using donor sperm. The donor they ended up receiving wasn’t anyone special; just a random chemical engineer from Gotham City by the name of Jack Napier

And perhaps things could have ended there. Perhaps in another reality, they did, and Danny never had to pay more than a passing thought to his genetic father.

But in this world, Jack Napier faced one extraordinarily bad day, and it broke him. All he could do in response was laugh at the utter meaningless of it all. And by the time his cackles subsided, the man he had once been was dead. In his place, only the Joker remained.

Yet despite how suddenly everything changed, neither of them knew the truth of things right away. The Joker had never even known he had a son, since the service didn’t inform people if their donations were used. And though Danny had known Napier’s name, he had no reason to pay enough attention to the man to notice his disappearance.

That ignorance couldn’t last forever, though.

All it took was a few medical tests from Danny before the automated database systems made the connection.

And that certainly didn’t go unnoticed by those in Gotham.

It looks like it’s time for Uncle J to pay his kid a surprise visit! Ooh, maybe he could break out the ol’ electroshock kit and bring back Joker Jr too, make it a proper family reunion!

Going to Boarding School forced their hands to become frenemies. It's a bit difficult to hate each other when they had to share a dorm room!! Their truce ended the moment they graduated.

Although Irep and Peri has had much less interactions since they both have very demanding jobs now.

well, he doesn’t say “i love you” in this fic, but he does approach you fresh from a fight, covered in his enemies’ blood, sword still drawn in one hand, and you think he’s going to force you to stand up or grip your chin and make you look at him, which is what he always does, but you’re surprised and frozen in place when he falls to his knees. his words come out shaky, like he’s moments away from snapping, when he tells you you’re the only one in this world with the power to betray me. which is basically in and of itself a love confession

As a big sibling with a lil sib with epilepsy, when they read TBC they Honestly thought if they got struck with lightning reciting the lord's prayer they'd be cured like Shadowsight is from their epilepsy. I had a discussion with them on how that's not how it works, but ge was so upset they took it away from Shadowsight that he hasn't picked the books back up and has stated that 'he hopes Ashfur wins and starts a new religion.,'

i always feel like there's such an underappreciated aspect of lumpus being the one to have feelings for slinkman (over the years) which is that there's something so Hilarious about him wanting to dump his head in a vat of acid because he's thinking stupid mushy shit, or Worse, about this Thing again

World's most frustrating feeling: having multiple ideas and character designs but despite working on the thing for nearly 5 YEARS still being nowhere close to having a coherent plot 💀

One of the other things I love about the animated Tarzan movie is how effectively they use color and costume design. Clayton is one of the very few Disney villains whose color scene isn’t red, black, purple, or a combination of the above. It’s largely yellow and muted black and brown with the typical turn-of-the-century safari hunter design, the colors matching the other main human characters.

What’s important though is that he’s a hunter, not just a guide, and that aspect combined with his color scheme ties him to the other main villain in the movie: Sabor.

Clayton’s color scheme matches the jaguar, and the fact Sabor is shown to be stalking both the humans and gorillas is a great parallel and foreshadowing for who will be the main villain in the end. Sure, the adults watching it can tell who the bad guy is, but the more subtle setup for the kids is a great way to introduce foreshadowing and visual storytelling, showing them (and the characters) that the real villain was camouflaged among them, stalking his prey unseen until it’s almost too late.
