i saw ur nightheart posts and i noticed u hate him quite a lot and im curious for the reasons why! i hope it doesnt sound rude! its a genuine question out of curiousity not an attempt for you to justify ur opinion, personally im aloof when it comes to nightheart i think hes just an edgelord tbh

nah you're not rude dw i get it. tbh i don't hate HIM as a character, i mean he's kinda annoying but whatever. instead i hate everything about him as a written extension of the authors and their views. nightheart isn't real, and doesn't have opinions but they authors do and they speak thru him to a young and volatile audience that might not know better. (which is also why i don't buy the "unreliable narrator" thing)

they twist the female characters around him to fit their narrative of "poor misunderstood sadboy" surrounded by "cruel mean women". squirrelflight, sparkpelt and even finchlight already had personalities, squirrelflight especially is known for bending rules for what she views as "the right thing", so why would she turn around and scream at him for wanting to change his name? why would finchlight, in one book, support his name change and stick up for him, only for in the next book to completely turn around and call him disrespectful and selfish. they needed to create more drama for him. before his warrior ceremony, he pulls off dangerous stunts trying to show off during his test, and it ends up blowing up in his face and fails, and he doesn't see this as HIS failing, he blames squirrelflight and his mentor for "expecting more of him because he's related to firestar" which??? and for that plot point to be given to him instead of his mother sparkpelt who is multiple times described as the spitting image of firestar? but she's like, totally fine with it. she's never given anything to do ever until she becomes a mother, (except disagree with alderheart like once and be the "rude misunderstanding woman" for his story too.)

and speaking of mothers... sparkpelt lost her mate as she gave birth, two heavily traumatizing things happening simultaneously. she had post-partum depression for a while, which is a serious and debilitating illness that KILLS people. yet she was still able to feed the kits, she didn't abandon them. they had plenty of attention from their family and from the other nursery cats. they were never once neglected. she was only out of commission for about a month before squirrelflight helped her back on her feet but that doesn't matter, because for the narrative, (and by the fandom) she is treated like a horrible abusive mother who neglected her kids on purpose. which. first of all crookedstar couldn't even LOOK at his daughter for the first week of her life and he is heralded as nothing but a loving father. second, nightheart goes on and on about how she left him and how she is hardly his mother because (lilyheart? i dont remember) one of the other queens helped raise them for the first month. the erins tie the worth of their female characters to how good of a mother they are, and any deviations from the nuclear family with a working husband and a housewife are automatically bad in their eyes,( yet they killed off ferncloud because she was "too annoying" for being a loving nursery mom.) (also think about how anti-adoption they are. the second the po3 secret was out, suddenly brambleclaw and squilf were never their parents despite literally raising them) they are horribly misogynistic, and their female characters are just pawns for either manpain or to be baby machines. this doesn't even begin to touch on how boy crazy the female protags have been lately, bristlefrost was interesting at first but eventually just turned into a wife for rootspring and then fridged for manpain, and sunbeam suddenly deciding shes in love with nightheart even though he stalked her and creeped her out???

adding on to this point, during ashfur's takeover, sparkpelt is EXILED from thunderclan (after being mauled by dogs, and by who she believes to be her father btw) she BEGS imposterstar to let her stay because of her family but he refuses. finchpaw chooses to go with her mother but flamepaw stays behind. then in his POV parts, he goes on and on about how she walked out on him!

again, nightheart the character: not real. he's a puppet for the authors to speak their misogynistic rhetoric. i would LOVE if he was just kinda a whiny emo dirtbag, or an actual unreliable narrator and whenever he complained everyone around him rolled their eyes and was like "ok nightheart" . remember that scene in meet the robinsons where bowler hat guy is telling his tragic backstory and he's talking about ppl at school and his narration says "they alll HATED me" while everyone in the scene was like "hi goob cool binder!" or "hey wanna come hang out with me later?" THAT'S (hilarious) but also what an unreliable narrator is. if that was nightheart it would be so funny. but instead, he HAS to be right, he HAS to be mistreated by all these mean horrible women. sorry for ranting, i promise im not mad at you.

yeah i can! im not the best person to talk about it probably since im a pretty recent trek fan and also tos/spock arent parts of trek i care about as much as a lot of other fans, but i have opinions for sure!!

firstly just up front i do not like ethan peck as spock. he does not look like spock or act in a way i am satisfied with. it feels like the only reason they cast him was because he has a deep voice. so i am going forward in this with haterism for him specifically not JUST how he is written in snw

Spock is written not like a vulcan but like an anhedonic human. actually not even anhedonic, just like a human raised in vulcan society trying to blend in. like there is nothing about him that feels genuine he just feels like woobiebait for 2012 tumblr to make flower crown edits of because he is awkward and quirky. every scene involving spock is a joke about him and his demeanor, everything he says is a wink wink nudge nudge "lol vulcans act like this and its so stupid lol logic is silly" like i can physically feel a laugh track whenever hes on screen. i enjoy jokes about vulcans but it isnt funny when there isnt anything else. its like spock showing emotion, it isnt satisfying when its a constant and not a little treat peppered in. in snw hes stifling a giggle or screaming in pain or being oopsie awkward silly every time he gets a focal scene, it takes the magic away because now it isnt a rare break in character its just how he is. Ive seen a lot of people defend this aspect as him being young and therefore less mature than in tos, but hes like approaching 30 :\ i get him being less mature but he doesnt act like a sheltered 30 year old he acts like someone freshly 18. at this point its just like…MAKE A NEW CHARACTER!!!!

as a point of contrast, i like how uhura is written in snw (in season 1 anyways, she has barely appeared in s2) she is obviously younger and is growing into her spot on the crew, but they arent hinging her character on the 1 or 2 pop culture uhura moments, retconning anything about that that doesnt align with modern media fandom, and calling it a day; they actually expand on her character outside of like idk her doing a sexy dance and her sitting at the phone (though i guess it is easier for her since she had barely any character in tos anyways). meanwhile they DO do that with spock, his bullet point top 10 iconic spock moments of sometimes being awkward and showing emotion are now the only things he is allowed to do. tldr flanderization

i also think its interesting that it is this way since ethan peck played spock in discovery and there hes the exact opposite. hes extremely serious and vulcan; which fits the tone of the show (regardless of my opinions on the tone of disco). i just dont understand how that spock translated into the snw spock. they are not the same guy.

anyways on to the biggest plot related gripe with him...how he interacts with women!!!yay!!

first theres how they decided to have multiple episodes about his, apparently, strained-yet-loving-and-involved relationship with tpring. the inclusion of t'pring feels stupid because other than the 1 minute of cheap "oh i remember her!" from someone seeing her on screen for the first time what point is there to her returning when the ONE canonical fact about her is that she and spock A: had an arranged marriage, B: did not meet in person since they were children, and C: hated each other. its not like there is a huge contingency of t'pring/spock shippers holding out since 1967 so what value does reintroducing her as a character serve? i assume its as some kind of attempt to give a woman who previously had no real character something to do, but her existence on snw is STILL only about spock and her relation to spock so there isnt any sort of feminist level up happening. including her was not interesting enough to justify retconning the plot of the most iconic episode of star trek. especially when multiple episodes tonally and stakes-wise rely on you caring about them as a couple, and anyone watching who knows who she is already knows that her and spock dont have any relationship to speak of in the future so who is this for? if you really really just NEED spock to have sex with a woman why not make a new character? that would also suck but at least it wouldnt be timeline interfering. im not even a huge continuity purist "oh no!!the timeline!!!plotholes!!!" but when the situation is the writers deliberately breaking the continuity in large ways and the outcome isnt even fun? stupid.

and now his relationship with chapel. i am way more annoyed by this one since its just gross. so from tos the only thing with them is that chapel has a crush on him and spock is not interested. also worth noting that its such a non-plot related thing that it only is revealed under the influence of alien drug virus that makes you horny. and they decided that not only was that enough to base a whole reciprocated romance arc around, but now since theyve introduced tpring back into the story, spock is now a cheater??? what is the POINT of breaking canon to introduce spocks girlfriend only to go "well actually hes horny for his coworker" like...that isnt how love triangles work youve just done a character assassination. the man who would rather kill his best friend than have sex with his wife is now fucking both her and the woman who confessed to him and he got so mad he crushed a computer with his bare hands. ok 👍. i just hate that they chose spock to be the romantic center of the show. anyone else could have been the character who gets into relationship drama why spock? there are multiple new characters who could have taken up the position. and its not like spock has nothing else to do as a character without it

to say things specifically about the most recent epsiode since it was particularly annoying and showed things that happen throughout the series:

firstly spock just does shit thats stupid. illogical even. i know the whole logical fallacy moment with vulcans but when it isnt a point of note in the show and rather just happens as if its a normal occurrence for spock as a person im like...he would be a laughing stock on vukcan and not have any of the positive reputation he holds.

the plot of this ep was basically that spock gets turned completely human and they just miss literally the whole point of it. vulcans have MORE emotion than humans, they ACTIVELY suppress it. yet when spock is turned human he just experiences human emotion completely emotionally? he should be having an EASIER time suppressing his emotions. and OMG he gets a BONER because he sees a hot WOMAN LOL LOL isnt that funny? spock got hard isnt that hilarious? its just so cheap. they act like being human makes him a completely different person, they played it like the voyager episode where belanna gets split into human and klingon BUT in that case she was literally split into two different people (this ep had a lot of issues too ie racism but that’s a different can of worms); here spock just becomes human he still has the same memories and training and history...why would he forget what its like to be a vulcan. they could SO EASILY make excuses too but they just didnt care. and anyways bada bing bada boom the ep ends with him and chapel hooking up which i already complained about and could complain about more.

I like to think that as difficult and avoidant as both can be with showing perceived weaknesses, that they lower their guard around one another and are willing to show the little things that many don’t get to see. Both of used to being in a position of authority where multiple people are relying on them / they need to show a certain amount of power to keep others believing they can lead. It’s exhausting! No one wants to be like this 24/7 – even Ozy! But when they’re around one another, there isn’t that unease of being seen as “weak” by the other because there is an innate understanding of each other.

From time to time, the two train together in the simulation chamber. Sometimes against one another, sometimes against a simulated situation / or enemies – it depends on their mood at the time as Ozy can be lazy and will lounge around like some sunbathing cat when unmotivated. The two work quite well with one another, but it’s a given since they know how each other fights and covers their weaknesses.

Sometimes when they’re in Singularities, they like to stargaze. Ozy catches Loni doing it first or vice versa – one tending to sit beside the other and just look at the stars. For Loni, he knows her attention is primarily on the moon as that is and has been a source of comfort to her for as long as he can recall, but for him, it is the vast array of stars that dot the sky. They talk about whatever comes to mind – the current Singularity they’re in, things from the past… The topic at hand doesn’t really matter so much as merely filling the air with words. Either way, they are much more transparent about their thoughts during this time.

Neither can cook, UNFORTUNATELY. Loni, at least, knows Ozy’s attempts are atrocious so at least will have a cookbook at the ready and try to follow that as well as trying to get him to actually follow it too. This, strangely enough, has done wonders for his (nonexistent) cooking ability. It’s a tiny improvement but an improvement nonetheless as he held little interest in looking at it before save for a glance through. His biggest problem is he's impatient, so this, at least, forces him to abide by some kind of rules. Despite being able to use his Imperial Privilege ability and just take on the skills of some master chef with ease for a certain span of time, sometimes that ego just…makes things everyone’s problem.

Description: Cin... isn't as tough as they made themselves out to be. DJ found this out with one too many little curious pokes. The dumbass is ticklish, and has no place acting all threatening-like when they snort and giggle like an idiot.

Visiting DJ had become incredibly common for Cin now. There really wasn’t a single day where they weren’t backstage at least once at some point in time. Even now, despite knowing DJ had a show for a teen birthday party, they still mosied backstage to antagonize him regardless of what he was doing later on. There was still a half hour to spare before the scheduled show time. Cin thought he could use the company.

“Hellooooo~ Where’s my favourite twenty foot tall DJ~?” They called out.

To their surprise, he wasn’t yet in his larger casing. DJ wandered in his more appropriately sized form and came over to greet them. He was hiding behind the curtain, presumably because he was about to transfer over; but of course, Cin’s presence brought him out instead and he was happy to indulge in conversation with them at any time.

“Favourite? When did I become your favourite?” He inquired, walking over to them.

“You act like both of us weren’t overly excited to meet each other the moment they finished your upgrades. You’ve been my favourite, nerd.” They replied, flopping down on the couch.

“Aaah, I’m honoured then! Though I thought I would get at least a brief moment’s peace before the show. It seems I was wrong.” He said in jest.

“Pff, shut the hell up. You enjoy my company too much to mean that.” They snorted.

“Ugh, you’re right, I do. Messing with you is actually one of my favourite pastimes too.” He noted.

Playfully, DJ bent down and jabbed at Cin on the couch. To his surprise, they reacted with a loud yelp and scooted off to the side away from his hand. They then shot him a sideways glance of horror and rubbed the spot where he poked in an attempt to rid themselves of the feeling. This was interesting indeed, and they had his full attention now.

“Geez, hasn’t anyone ever taught you to keep your hands to yourself?” They scoffed.

“Oh my god. You’re ticklish!” DJ gasped upon realizing what he had done.

“Yeah and? Isn’t everyone? Keep ya digits to yourself you hooligan!” Cin said defensively.

Boy, they did not like the sudden look in DJ’s eyes though. Those glasses of his did no favour to hide the sudden and intensifying glow of his eyes. Not only could it be seen on his face behind the glasses, but they could totally see each pupil through the shades easily. Cin did not like the way his hands raised up, nor the way he stepped forwards towards them. The situation… was no longer in their favour.

“Don’t you dare.”

“You see, normally I would agree. Not today though.” DJ chuckled darkly.

‘H-hey! Ack! B-back off you fiend!” Cin fretted, shuffling back on the couch.

How unfortunate. Naturally, DJ wanted to explore this little discovery. The loud, relatively crude bundle of cuss words and energy that was Cin, had a weakness. He felt it was time to smother all that tough guy attitude down.

Cin may have had a chance if they backed off of the couch and ran quicker, but they were conflicted and became trapped before they could decide. DJ crawled onto the couch and towered above them, getting straight to the point and poking at their sides. There was a fight for a moment as they fended off his attacks between little suppressed yelps, but he of course had the aid of multiple hands on his side. When Cin went in for one more jab of defiance he caught their fists with his higher pair of hands and held onto them firmly, sitting atop their legs to prevent any kicking. They were completely disarmed, and he had two extra hands to get to work with.

“Unfair! This is unfair you have too many liIIMBS! Stahahap!” Cin rambled in a futile attempt to change his mind.

He really took his time to enjoy how quickly Cin’s composure fell apart. A couple of pokes to their side and they were already lost in a fit of giggles. If poking did so much, he wondered how they’d react to a real tickle attack, so he decided to find out. He gave their sides some mean squeezes, earning a whole string of cuss filled laughter from them.

“You’re an asshohohole!”

“Oh you are just the cutest~. Not so tough now, are ya~?” He teased, scribbling his fingers over their ribs.

“F-fuck ohohoff!” They retaliated, trying to free their hands.

“Nah~. I’ll keep going. I mean, it’s convenient how all your weakest spots are out in the open for me to see, so why wouldn’t I indulge in this delight~?”

“NooOOHOHO!”

Cin was in stitches by now. DJ had taken their hands and gathered them into one of his, giving him three tools to tease with now as he honed in on their hips, digging into the little groove on either side. They overflowed with snorts and laughter, their cheeks a shade of vivid red that DJ did not think a human could take on. He was having too much fun, and used his third free hand to gently trace over their tummy, overloading them with the tickly sensations to the point where they no longer could form words. Trapped beneath him, all they could do was laugh and get even redder, trying their damndest to escape his attack. No matter which way they wiggled though, they were trapped, laughing more than they ever had in years.

A breather was finally granted after a few more minutes of enduring his ticklish assault. The one thing that stopped him was the chanting of anxious and excited teens from outside, reminding him that he still had a show to go on with. Though he was reluctant to do so, he stopped tickling them and let them breathe, really taking in how red their cheeks were before he let them go and got off the couch.

“You’re so lucky I’ve got a show to carry on with. You’re safe for now.” DJ said menacingly.

“Gah! Y-you’re so mean.” Cin whined, curling up and clutching a nearby pillow as if to protect themselves.

“Hahah! I’d argue, but I’m not sure you could have good counterpoints with cheeks as red as yours.” He laughed, making his way back to the curtain covered area.

Cin stuck their tongue out at his back while he went off and transferred over into his twenty foot tall casing. It was still a very much appreciated gimmick to use that form, so he used it often while he had the chance to. Surprisingly, kids loved his massive form. When he re-emerged from behind the curtain, he had to laugh again, because Cin still prominently glared at him while a vivid blush sat on their cheeks. The only change was now they were flipping him off.

“Heh~ So are you gonna be back here the whole time?” He asked, redirecting the conversation to lessen the weight of embarrassment on them.

“Mhmm.” They nodded, retracting their finger. “That was my original purpose. I like to watch without being mobbed.”

“Then enjoy to your heart’s content, you big softie~”

“Get your ass on stage before I fight you.” They threatened.

“Cin, I am literally twenty feet tall.”

“And? I’ll clock you and steal your glasses fool.” They insisted.

“Sure, cutie.”

“GOOOO!”

DJ snickered the whole time and quickly made his way to the stage, leaving Cin behind as a flustered mess. They grumbled and groaned into the pillow they clutched until cheers and music could be heard. Briefly, they rubbed all the very open spots on their body to try and get rid of the phantom tickles they felt still lingering. Their outfit truly did reveal all their worst spots, save for one. There was a moment where Cin considered changing their outfit, but reconsidered, wondering what it would take to get him to do that again.

After one more growl into the pillow Cin cleared their head and got up, slowly making their way to the stage. They hid behind a wall and leaned on it so the crowd wouldn’t see them, but they could still see DJ. He was of course massive as ever, and it was admittedly cool as hell to see him working with such a massive turntable. A tiny smile crept up on their face as they watched him get into the groove of things, almost forgetting how embarrassed they were mere minutes ago.

While they stood there, DJ turned around and noticed them staring up at him. He gave a discreet wave with two fingers and a smile to indicate he was aware of their presence, and was happy to see what he would consider a shy wave in return. No middle fingers, no tongue, just a tiny smile and a wave back. The grin he wore would be impossible to wipe off for the rest of the show now, that was a sure fact. He returned his attention to the crowd below, but made sure to give the bass a good extra crank up, knowing how much Cin appreciated a good bass rumble. They very much did appreciate it, feeling the music through the wall as they listened on.

“Fucking hell…” They muttered to themselves. “I’m catching feelings… aren’t I? Can I even…”

They were conflicted. Unsure. They did not know if these were good feelings, feelings to act upon, or if they were just being dumb. He was an animatronic. There’s no way that could work… right? It just wasn’t realistic. But.. His sentience, the feeling of his casing, and every damned interaction with him screamed otherwise. Cin glanced at their fazwatch and glared down at the still increasing heart rate that pushed over 110.

“Maybe I am a softie. Shit.”

it was killed to hurt dream, not to "annoy him". it doesn't matter who it belonged to, c!dream was attached to it and it died, which had an effect on him and also further proved his point about attachments being weakness and caring getting you hurt, and it's still very sad.

you say that it was not ok at all to kill mooshroom henry, but the cat's death wasn't ok either, so i really don't see your point.

again, i disagree it was "nothing compared to" either way. i never meant to compare them in the first place, i was simply talking about the cat and c!dream so i don't see why it is in any way necessary to drag c!tommy and other dead pets into this. /nm

also, it isn't true he didn't mourn it. he is a very reserved person who doesn't show his feelings much, that's true, but the cat death still changed the way he acted afterwards, as well as the attempts he made to prevent it. he didn't "shrug it off", he yelled about it because he was understandably upset.

You mentioned that propganda was used to make dream seem like a tyrant, could you specify a bjt? Cus im a little confused srry /gen. Because the most i can remember from the lmanburg era at least is him being called a b'tch or other similar insults. You also mentioned how trauma responses can be differet which is true! I agree! Do you have any ideas to what caused dream the trauma?

wilbur would continuously make him out to be some sort of oppressive, tyrannical force, in front of his troops - a prime example of this being the lyrics of the l'manberg anthem itself and the l'manberg declaration of independence.

i also said in my previous post what could've possibly caused it, but since the character intentionally hides his emotions from the public, it would be difficult to see how things really affected him - which is why the way his spiral went is the majority of the evidence that would imply it, however it does make sense within the story as well with what i mentioned last time.

I would like to note that for sapnap at least had reason to leave dream. Some examples off the top of my head are dream leading an angry fundy to sapnap's pets on purpose, resulting in some deaths, dream assisting tommy in burning down sapnap's effiel tower where he got engaged to karl, and dream giving tommy either mars or the other fish at the battle of the lake. Idk about george tho other then the whole mexican lmanburg/el rapids thing and decrowning him

c!sapnap was actually at fault for most of this, and it wasn't really ever betrayal on c!dream's part.

c!dream is a mediator and he wants to stop everyone's conflict - c!fundy was angry because of c!sapnap's actions, and hence it made more sense for c!dream to centre him on c!sapnap's animals instead of running around killing everyone's pets (at that time, all c!dream knew was c!sapnap did something really bad and c!fundy wanted beckerson / mars from him, which were also his and c!george's fish).

c!sapnap was an instigator, and in multiple conflicts during the time as well as before he'd align himself against c!dream. he isn't "loyal" per se, he causes chaos and the reason c!dream helped c!tommy was because, c!sapnap, again, killed his pet. the first l'manberg war and then the 16th are signs of the fact that c!dream and c!sapnap were willing to fight together in actual war, but these small conflicts where c!sapnap continuously picked fights weren't about personal loyalty, nor did they seem to affect their relationship at all.

c!george was never really hurt by c!dream either. the dethronement was him very obviously being a guilt-trippy drama queen, but, well, that's just the character. he had stolen the l'mantree while he was supposed to be the diplomatic figure of the greater smp, which is why c!dream was justified in - very politely, may i mention - taking the duties off of him (seeing as he was also trying to keep him safe and c!techno had already assassinated him once).

Im pretty sure i remember cc!sam stating that his character never canonically physically tortured dream during his subathon but take this with a grain of salt as i am looking for the clip currently. So to the best of my knowledge dream did not have a physical contact trigger during tommy's visit which! I rewatched the vod and dream actually was first to hit tommy and i can give you my full writing downs but 10/12 of the phy-

i am 95% sure that the reason cc!sam stated this was because people were suspicious he had already been doing what c!quackity was doing after - torture within the storyline itself is associated pretty much only with what c!quackity is doing, so that's what he meant, just to clear up confusion - the starvation or terrible conditions haven't been retconned, but it was direct torture (like c!quackity is doing) people were asking him about.

I wanna talk a little on why the Final Control Room was so messed up. For starters, with the way the room was designed. It was small, and had labeled, empty chests with each person's name on them as a mockery. The next reason is that its bascially a kill box.

It's fairly inescapble with the stairs being ones you have to jump up, slowing anyone who climbs them down. The final reason it is messed up is that it is shown to have caused every person who died in it trauma. With tommy there are several examples, the time he saw it with techno, the way he refuses to go near it, the exposure trauma, etc. Fundy also appears to have trauma, as when the Red Banquet executions began, it can be seen as him being afraid of dying last again.

It can Be thought as tubbo having trauma because he buries most of his issues and pretends to be ok. Moreover this event took at least one of each person's canon lives, making it the most canon lives lost EVER in a dream smp event. (This is not hate on any of the ccs btw i loved this scene and its one of my personal favorites). Plus the fact Eret's betrayal just literally happened, giving at least Tommy and Wilbur canonic trust issues.

i wouldn't call the chests mockery? it was a trap. people had traps on the smp before. it was a trap in the middle of war, supposed to end said war by killing them all at once rather than individually which would be a lot more bloody and difficult.

i agree c!tommy and other people might have post-war trauma, especially if they were young during the time, but i think that's because the final control room was "messed up", moreso because the war itself was. it all happened fairly instantly as well? i don't think c!fundy would be able to realize he was the last one standing within the two second before he wasn't.

it "can be thought" and it can be interpreted like that but besides c!tommy there isn't much evidence for them "all" being traumatized by the final control room. of course betrayal would spark trust issues, i understand that.

The probation was humiliating in my opinion because dream was Sending tommy anatgonizing messages through out the whole meeting, plus he had to write a review of his day every single day, which fundy mocked him for.

i mean, it was definitely a strike to his pride, but he was being extremely uncooperative so i don't really blame the other members of new l'manberg trying to teach him to listen for once? of course i know c!dream was riling him up, and that should definitely be considered. i don't think it would be as humiliating if c!tommy didn't make it, is what i'm saying.

for the tommy being toxic to fundy? At least for the examples you gave, to me personally they come acoross as either in a meta way being the cc's bantering or in canon being the characters having banter. no, these were all in canon. canon isn't only when c!tommy is being nice, it's also when he's being a jerk. /lh

the first one was him threatening c!fundy about kicking him out of l'manberg and undermining his self-worth, and the second one was him trying to get c!sapnap to vote for them via bullying c!fundy.

i found these from a transcript focusing on c!fundy's character, so i don't know exactly where the first one is from, but the second one i am pretty sure is from when the elections were starting with the whole cabinet battle deal and all of that.

there are other instances, and all of them are canon. his personality was never being nice or compassionate, so i'm not really surprised? he still cares about the people he cares about and is very brave, y'know. but this part of his personality is definitely a valid reason for people to dislike him.

Curious anon here one point you may wanna include in the redemption essay is that c!tubbo or c!tommy do not necessarily have to forgive him. What's important is that he recognizes what he did was wrong (exile, beating tommy to death, manipulating them both, etc) and does his best to make amends. Hope this helps! the repeated blowing up of l'manberg (in my mind that's largely a positive since i,, despise that country, but fair enough), revealed c!ranboo as a traitor (they seem to be friends so i also,, think that might've been planned between him and enderboo), sent ghostbur away (i don't think c!dream knew it was dangerous for him and wanted to actually hurt him, but idk), participated in fighting against c!sapnap when he killed people's pets (that's only negative against c!sapnap and didn't seem to hurt him much at all), and then the whole vault scene where he was allegedly planning to steal people's things (though saying he would & being stopped beforehand and doing it are two different things, frankly).

so i still agree with the other anon that a lot of the hurt he did "to the entire server" (he only negatively interacted with like,, a half of them) is exaggerated both by the characters and the fandom, but i guess that's a consequence of most people seeing him as a threat to everyone's happiness rather than a complex personality.

Also he was aware of the butcher army going to kill techno but only got involved because he saw an opportunity to get a favor. (As he knew in advance due to him telling techno to get a totem, watching from afar instead of interveing or manipulating tubbo out of it)

i don't understand this at all, i'm sorry. how do you know he only helped techno in order to get a favor? last i remember he was only doing it to protect and strengthen his alliance, and techno came up with the whole favor thing entirely on his own. you might've not watched techno's perspective or their prior interactions, idk, but this really is a misinterpretation in my eyes. /nm

-I know the 'creepy abandoned hospital on the edge of town' is a joke and the creepy hospital trope is so Worn Out, but in my town we actually DO have a hospital like that! my dad was born in it, but its not in use and hasn't been for, like, 20 years! it needs to be torn down but I think the city doesn't wanna pay the money. the inside is horrible, spray painted and broken glass and shit everywhere. but there's still like, rusty equipment and fucking DOLLS all over the place. the cops drive by it pretty frequently to make sure no one is like, breaking in. (because of water damage, some of the areas really aren't safe. also, asbestos, but people still go in anyway) but also, some of my town was used in a filming for a stephen king show. So it's lowkey spooky all over. just a fun personal tidbit :) to lead into saying, any hospital abandoned for any period of time is NOT safe to quarantine these kids in JKSAHDKF like I KNOW it's a ghost trying to do this, but NONE of these parents are even like, 'well, why dont we keep them in the regular, working hospital'....YIKES. this hospital looks pretty accurate to the one in town. grungy and spooky.

Brothers anon. Sorry about the previous ask I get nervous easy and feel like I need to check im not annoying anyone at times. If I am ever annoying you though or you want me to do anything though please tell me!

Watson is close to everyone from the group, because he's seen as the dad figure and an easy person to talk too. Besides from that Jackie and Grievous are close and often train or play games together, and Jackie and Ran are close, they don't do much expect just hang out and since their both the youngest that helps them feel a bit closer. Ran and Grievous aren't really close, though Grievous wants to make attempts to become closer to Ran, potentially by inviting him to training sessions or game nights.

The other fighters from the Pit are still around! They mostly aren't around the Pit as they have jobs and other stuff to take care off, but they try to vist often. Like Genevieve and Levi come over on a regular basis to train with them all and just hang out. And sometimes Genevieve and Levi participate in the Pit's fights just for fun.

He was kept in a room in Mizu. The room was reminiscent of a jail cell, with no glass in it, and a door that required a key to be opened, he wasn't completely chained down but they did put cuffs on his wrists to prevent him from moving around to much. Benjamin honestly just kind of felt like something was off, because most people don't commit mass murder without a reason and he couldn't find a reason for Ranbob doing it. And he has reported multiple times (along with the others) feeling a strange weightless feeling near dreams room, almost like their getting sucked into a void, while also hearing a distant voice in their head calling them to come closer. When everyone said they heard the voice, with Ranbob even saying from where he was that he heard the voice but much clearer, and sometimes he feels like he doesn't control what he's doing. Benjamin and Isaac decided to block off the room and nearby rooms and made it a rule that if anyone heard the voice or felt like that to report it to them and where they felt it so ot could be blocked off.

Because Ranbob said he heard the voice too Benjamin started thinking that maybe Ranbob wasn't in control and there's something deeper going on. They specifically figure out its the mask when Charles finds it and brings it up to the group, where reports of the voices and feeling come back ten-fold, and even Ranbob who was starting to show progress and become a bit more willing to talk harshly backtracked to where he almost tried to attack anyone who came into the room. So Charles quickly puts it back as far from the group as possible, with Cletus following him to make sure he actually puts it back. Later they talk about destroying it but the question of what will happen to the possession on it stops them, as what if when they break it, the possession type thing (its not actually a possession I just forget the word oop), moves onto another object? Maybe even connect to them or Ranbob?

Ranbob does learn how to sew! Charles helps him learn actually and it helps the two get close! Cletus and Isaac are forbin as of now to return to Mizu, there are talks about going back later in time but for now everyone agreed it'd be best to hang back and avoid Mizu no matter what.

Life in the house is very hard to adjust to at first for Ranbob especially, its mostly awkward and learning boundaries. But after a few weeks to months living with the fishermen Ranbob becomes much more comfortable to open up a lot. Closest to Ranbob is definitely both Benjamin and Charles, as Benjamin is the one who recognized what was happening to Ranbob and Charles is the one who he spends most time with (mostly teaching Ranbob random skills).

Even after the fight ends Ran is still incredibly mad, and when Ranbob is so much as mentioned he growls and gets more aggravated. The fishermen are mostly surprised, Ranbob did mention there was a survivor that he remembers almost killing before they escaped, but because it seemed like a sensitive topic they never pressed him to tell them more. They never would've expected the survivor was his brother though. And the gladiators are completely surprised, expect Watson, Ran told Watson his past about Mizu and his brother (because I like to think Ran has night terrors due to Mizu and Watson is often the one to comfort him). Its only once Ranbob gets taken off to the medical bay and Ran goes to blow off steam in the training area the two sides talk. Where what they've been told is shared and connections and understandings are made. And they all manage to agree to try to get the brothers at least on talking terms, so they can talk about what happened and at least attempt to fix their relationship.

They are not! Other enderman hybrids do exist but their very rare due to complexity with passing the enderman genes. Though Ran and Ranbob did have a family of 6 they where apart of (the 2 other siblings where younger than them) but not every member had enderman genes.

They do notice how Jackie looks similar to Tubbo but they mostly just brush it off, as if Cletus takes off his head gear he looks like Quackity and of course Ranbob looks like Ranboo with the mix of black and white skin.

The bonds between everyone sound interesting. So Watson’s just generally the dad friend? How does he feel about that? Has he just unironically adopted all these dorks? Is it something of an inside joke? Jackie and Grievous sound like quite the combination. Honestly I can imagine these two either being very chill, or very chaotic, depending on the day. Ran and Jackie just hanging out sounds neat, what do they do together? Do they play games like Jackie does with Grievous, or do they just nap and cloud-watch, or something similar? And Grievous trying to bond with Ran sounds nice, how does that work out for him? Do they find some sort of activity that brings them closer?

I saw you mentioned Ran and Jackie were the youngest, which brings up two things. One, does the height difference remain? I’ve seen a lot of art depicting it as such, and honestly, the thought of some new fighters being tossed into a fight with these two, and A, seeing this short kid next to this ridiculously tall guy, and B, their expressions when being told Ran’s not an adult is very amusing to me. 

And two, what exactly is the age limit for going into the Pit? It’s probably not incredibly young, but how old are Jackie and Ran to be stated as the youngest? In their early teens? Late? Older? What kind of rules are there in the fights, no deaths aside?

The other fighters still being around is pretty cool, how do they get along with the gladiators? I imagine fairly well, since you’ve said they hang out, but are they close with anyone is particular? And what exactly is the Pit, besides a tournament? Do people fight for money in there? Do they just fight to fight? Is it open to a lot of people?

So the fisherman hung around Mizu and talked to Ranbob? It must have been strange, seeing the change in their would-be murderer. It does bring up the question of how in control Ranbob was when he first met them. Was he relatively himself at the start, and only begin to fall more under Dream’s thrall later, or was he under it from the start? And how do the fishermen feel about this? 

Actually, how young even is Ranbob? I believe you mentioned him to be Ran’s older(?) brother, but as previously said, Ran’s among the youngest of the gladiators, so how much older is Ranbob?  How old was he when he was led to kill the residents of Mizu?

I believe the word you’re looking for is possibly spirit? I’m assuming? And yeah, pretty smart of them to get away from it. Do they ever end up dealing with that in the future, or is it a ‘let’s just agree to never go near that thing again.’ kinda deal?

But that adjustment period can’t be easy. As we saw, the fishermens’ house was pretty small, and for Ranbob, to go from literally being the only person there in a huge city, to such an arrangement, well. It can’t have been easy. How did it affect him, and how did the fishermen deal with it?

In relation, how did Ran deal with going from Mizu to outside it? I imagine the lifestyle was a bit different from what he was used to.

So the relationship isn’t so easily fixed, hm? Y’know, all things considered, that’s pretty fair. How do the two groups get along, once they’ve decided to get the two brothers back together? And what kind of plan do they come up with? Perhaps deciding to travel together? Or maybe stick around and fight more? How does that work out for them? 

How does Ran feel about the brother that almost killed him being around his new family? And how does Ranbob feel about finding him again? Did he even think he was still kicking, or believe him to be dead?

So Endermen hybrids aren’t that common huh? Does that happen to be why Porkius was so interested in them? And are any of the fishermen or gladiators hybrids as well? Philza’s often shown with wings, and honestly, I’m curious to know if your AU’s Watson is a similar hybrid, or otherwise. 

Also, how do the gladiators fight? Are there double battles and team ups? Is there anyone they fight better with? What’s their general strategy?

Great start to the end

There were a lot of contrived moments here on the first read but I'm hopeful things will play out in an unexpected way.

One of the better recent chapters, felt well paced and most of the dialogue and events seemed logical and fitting. Nice to see one more location added to the AOT world before the end.

I’ve been doing polls for almost 30 chapters now, this is the first where I have no chapter rating, I need to see how all this plays out before I decide if I love it or hate it.

All of this self-reflection is annoying. Though that feeling is just more because of the fact that waiting a whole month for another ‘these hands have killed’ chapter is not exciting when we are so close do the end and I just want to see the ending already.

Average as fuck, the intention is good but the execution is not it, and the dialogues feel very forced and repetitive.

Not good at connecting the narrative plot points 'cause there's...hundreds of them at this point but I'm here for the character interactions and to see just what the hell that "See you, Eren" from the beginning actually meant

Good but I worry about the pacing, some of this should have came earlier, will wait to see what comes from it.

Looks like a lot of people were glad to see that this conflict will not be resolved with a little heart-to-heart (34.9%). People also loved seeing child Eren being spooky with his new pal Ymir (18.8%). 11% liked seeing Eren’s friends reach out to him – or at least try.  9.4% liked Levi, because Levi. Connie, Jean, and Reiner sharing a moment of understanding warmed 8.6% of your hearts. 5.6% were happy to see Falco and Gabi brainstorming, and seeing Mr. Leonhart being a badass was the favorite moment for 3.6%.

I don’t know how it didn’t come up in this survey that Levi called Armin COMMANDER. That was my favorite moment by far. I also enjoyed the confirmation of Levi still caring about Eren. He always uses Zeke as a scapegoat. I somewhat feel bad for monke.

It was tough for me to decide a favorite moment from this chapter because every scene in this one was awesome. That's how fantastic of a chapter it was! I guess the only issue for me is the possibility of the Flying Titan actually becoming a reality when it felt too good to be true, but looking back, I think there was some foreshadowing to this becoming a reality.

Multiple select charts aren’t the prettiest but we like to think they do a good job of showcasing what the fandom thinks on a topic. While none of the options this month reached any sort of consensus, they do provide a snapshot of what we want and expect from Eren.  

Of the items offered, only “I’m glad Eren was firm and there will likely be no Talk no Jutsu” reached 50%. The other more popular choice were “I’m surprised Eren reached out to them instead of the other way around” (41%), “THAT PATHS STUFF IS STILL SO COOL” (38.8%) and “I’m glad so many were able to talk to him and it wasn’t just EMA” (33%).

The more negative options, ‘Eren was unnecessarily cruel, his friends deserve better”(13.8%), “I’m mad that Eren is letting them fight him. It’s like he wants to lose” (10.6% ) and “I don’t like Eren dismissing the possibility of talking” (8.1%) received only a fraction of support.

it looks like Eren is committed to HIS path, which backs his friends into a really tough corner. I can't say I'm surprised; we've seen it coming since they got to the ocean, we just didn't want to believe it.

Eren's speech, didn't feel like him talking. It was way too typical, he used his catchphrases way too many times. This could be done on purpose for an in-story actual reason, but if it wasn't, i'm not a fan of it. The alliance talking about the colossal being able to defeat eren, makes me think armin won't be able to. I think Armin and Reiner still don't understand Eren's intentions, i fully think he does not want to be stopped. Eren is going to try to kill all of them.

The attempts at talking to Eren were almost a character rorschach test as each individual brought up what was closest to their hearts in an effort to stop the rumbling. While none of their pleas impacted Eren, we were curious which one the fandom enjoyed most. Levi’s promise of an ass kicking (32.5%) was the favorite, distantly followed by Mikasa’s more impassioned “Let us share your burdens” (24.9%).

Look man, I'm an Eremika shipper and all but I really wish Mikasa didn't go on her usual "I'm here for you Eren" spiel in paths. It felt a little forced, and this would've been a good arc to have some more upfront and major changes as to how Mikasa sees Eren, but to get that usual "100% devotion" Mikasa that we've seen all series after we got signs that she's changed how she sees Eren was kind of disappointing.

It seems to be another month of Isayama dangling Eren’s motivations in front of us, though this time we got some substance in the form of some surprising words to the alliance. The most popular interpretation is the straightforward one (30.1%), that it’s as Eren says and he is genuine in not wanting to step on his friends’ freedom. Up next is people who support Reiner’s hypothesis of Eren wanting somebody to stop him (21.2%), with decreasingly popular choices being Eren wants to be killed only after the rumbling is complete (15.5%), he’s just continuing his daily “freedom” spiel (12.4%), and he’s confident in the alliance’s inability to stop him (11.6%). Many opted for the write in option to share their original theories (5.6%).

Child Eren appears again in this chapter, but now resembling Ymir even more. About half of the fandom thinks that the shaded out eyes is a sign of loss of free will. The other popular option, at 42.1% is that they’re depicted at the age they first got their titan powers. The idea that their eyes symbolize ignorance and that their child form symbolizes immaturity each got about 16%, and 10.5% of fans think Yams drew it this way just to look cool.

But everyone is the same nowadays, so who knows?

Only 4.2% of people agree that this would help in stopping the rumbling, with the most popular response at 41.8% being it would fail due to Eren having full control of the Founder. The belief that Zeke’s death would have alternatively disastrous consequences is also popular, with 27.8% thinking Ymir’s presence would allow the titans’ advancement to continue, and 26.2% expecting the lack of command over the titans would render them mindless, but still functioning.

How is killing Zeke going to solve what Eren is doing? The poor guy just wanted to achieve his dream of eliminating all pp’s and instead he has to bear the burden of the destruction of the whole world.

Killing Zeke instead of Eren would be an emotional cop out for the Alliance. I hope that won't become the case, because that would make the ending of this manga super dissatisfying.

In such dire times, wholesome moments really are appreciated. 43.5% loves seeing Annie recall her 104th days the most, while 28.3% appreciated Connie accepting comfort from Reiner. The rest of you were split pretty closely between Gabi and Falco being adorbs together and Armin emulating Hange in his interactions with Onyankopon.

So many revelations! The most controversial ones are Falco potentially becoming a flying titan, him getting Zeke’s memories, and the Female Titan powers; though more people are ok with each of these than not. Eren letting his friends continue to use titan powers, and the Beast Titan being multiple animals are the most accepted developments.

The idea of a flying titan is forceful and too convenient. I wonder how Isayama will draw it and not make it look like something odd.

The flying titan thing is the dumbest and most forced thing in snk I've seen. It feels like something from a fanfic and just seems so out of place. It's so sudden and forced. There are other things that seem really rushed in this chapter too. Like the bits about Annie's titan etc.

I'm glad the Falco can fly because it means the rest of the alliance can join the final battle and him flying was well built up. Someone had thought about the beast titan animal theory before, since there was a giant horse at those old "paintings" that tell the story about eldia in marley's perspective, it is in chapter 87 i think, when grisha's parents are lecturing him.

The falco thing is too forced. The beast titan being any animal isn’t that forced but it should’ve been revealed waaay before, not in the same chapter as this whole falco flying thing.

I fully expected the Liberio Eldians to be alive, but was not expecting them to be en route to Fort Salta.

After being implied in 125, we get to see the Liberio evacuees on the run. As set up in that chapter, 44.8% were most happy to see Mr. Leonhart continuing to be a boss, while 33.6% were most hyped for another great double spread of the rumbling, as we’ve gotten for the last 4 chapters. Mr. Finger and the Brauns' concern for the children came in after that, followed by Karina and the Grices.

Papa Leonhart is a true badass. It wasn’t said if Bertolt’s mother was still alive, and the lack of Galliard parents/zeke’s grandparents was interesting- how the only warrior/cadet families shown were ones with a child that the readers know is still living.

If Falco's cloud memories end up being child-Eren's view from last chapter, that would be incredible. So many characters will seemingly play an important role now that I have no idea what will happen next.

Reiner keeps thinking that the dialogue is about their guilt and since they are the same, then Eren wants to kill himself. But one of Eren's main statements is that he keeps moving forward despite everything (and he thinks Reiner is the same). I think Reiner's ""Eren wants us to fight him because he wants to die"" will be proven wrong, and he'll come to the correct conclusion in the end.

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a Falco should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The Falco, of course, flies anyway because Yams don't care what nerds think is impossible.

I don't mind the "inconsistencies", because most of what people are complaining about is just nitpicking that doesn't have much of anything to do with the story being told. I just hope that we're done with setup and can finally get to the final battle next chapter.

Everybody in this chapter was admitting their sins, but Bert still wasn't mentioned when so far he's the biggest elephant in the room when it comes to Reiner / AMJC. They watched Armin devour Bert and felt nothing about it, they participated in a terrorist attack against Liberio and threw a party instead/didn't protest against it, but the moment they betrayed their countries and slaughtered their comrades, suddenly they're evil sinners. It really feels iffy as shit.

Eren should finish what he started, I actually support him, I do understand his anger, his past anger, and everything that has been done to the Paradis Island. The only way to stop the exterior world’s way they think about them, is killing them all (or nearly), otherwise it’s never going to stop. It would be too much of a childish way of actually allowing the alliance to stop him knowing that he’s really REALLY powerful.

I don't get why people are having so much backlash about Eren allowing the Alliance to kill him, it's not a goad of "come get me", it would be hypocritical of him to take away their powers to stop him when he preaches about freedom, because then he'd just want PERSONAL freedom when want he truly wants it freedom for everybody especially Eldians.

I just think Eren doesn't detour from his character cause he's persistent on continuing the rumbling, having his own definition of freedom while he also doesn't take away his friends' power to fight him. I kinda hope that we get to see Hizuru at least once. I also believe that Mikasa deserves to know the truth about her Ackerman blood and that it does not make her a slave in any way. More than anything though I just wanna see her character done justice in this final arc so that people will finally quit complaining about her always being "Eren-obsessed." She is without a doubt one of the most misunderstood characters in the entire series.

I maintain that Eren allowing his friends to fight him and potentially die because FREEDOM is fucking weird and OOC because he had no problem taking their freedom away in 112. He lied to their faces (same chapter he stated that ignorance=slavery) and locked them in prison. He also couldn't stand losing anyone close to him for most of the manga (serumbowl, hiding info about Historia, etc.), even if it went against Paradis, and so far nothing states that he suddenly and consciously changed his mind on that. If there is no explanation for his sudden change in behavior then parts of his character just went down the drain for the sake of covering up a plothole (that could easily be resolved by just saying that the founder can't control the shifters......)

I read some theories of Hange come back as a Titan Shifter. The parallel of both Ackermans put their fist on Eren and Hange before they died. Eren came back to life again as Attack Titan after that. There are also similarities between Hange and Xavier, both do research on titans, wearing glasses and I wonder if we would find out who is this person that Zeke could trust, as Xavier mentioned. We've seen Hange almost died 3 times, during the battle with Bertholdt and Reiner revelation, the crystal underground with Kenny's team and Bertbomb. Hange managed to come back again and again. Maybe I'm just being hopeful here (crying again) but I respect if Isayama sensei really killed Hange for good. But but but.. T^T

I'm tired of Eren and the alliance. My feelings are with Levi's promise, nothing else. What comes after that (if Levi is able to kill Zeke) it would be interesting (and amazing, I'm sure) conceptually, I will love to read it, but my heart is with our midget. He deserves to rest.

There was so much information given to us this chapter. The reveal of the possibility of Falco flying and the possible death of Zeke.

There were some alright points to this chapter but for the most point, it seemed like so many things were forced, the most ridiculous points of this chapter for me were the warrior families living, and Falco deciding he can fly simply because he had a dream

All the plot points we’d been expecting like Falco being able to fly, Eren bringing the alliance into Paths to tell them they have to kill him if they want to stop the rumbling, and the folks from Liberio surviving, were all present. The alliance was so annoying this chapter. Reiner projecting his pathetic suicidal thoughts into Eren was just absolute cringe. I was hoping that at least the 104th would make it out alive but now I straight up want Eren to kill them all. They’re just flat out insufferable, incompetent traitors at this point.

For me, the Rumbling represents Eren’s own death drive. He’s killing others and wants do die in the process or afterwards. And his talk to the alliance is what his "if you don't fight you don't win" ideology boils down to. Blind, narrow-minded kid!Eren doesn't really see any other outcome other than him completing the Rumbling (aka "winning") or getting killed by his friends before he can complete it. I (heavily) suspect Isayama is going for a third option though.

This arc has highlighted Eren's internal contradictions regarding freedom. We have him forcing his friends to fight, imprisoning them, beating them, gaslighting them about their own free will, but most of all forcing the rumbling onto them, which completely takes away their agency to choose their own fate. I would be disappointed if Isayama has dropped this consistent pattern of Eren contradicting his own ideals of freedom, just to rectify his mistake of making Eren too overpowered due to rule of cool (something I initially feared), so I'm hoping the true reason has to do with Ymir taking the reins and speaking for Eren.

Eren can't help what he wants and believes in and he can't stop his convictions to move foreword, but at the same time he recognises his friends own free will and different convictions and has decided that both sides will never be able to give up their own convinces or meet at a middle ground and has decided to just let things play out.

Eren is resigned to his fate to rumble the world, but he will not command his friends to do anything. He is willing to die by their hands.    

Eren prizes freedom above all else. If someone uses their freedom to try to kill him, he wouldn't mind

As Mrs. Rigaux began to unpack the stack of papers, Lucas reached for his backpack’s front pocket to find an empty space where his lucky pen was only moments before. Panic began to mildly set in. He just had it last class.

“Imane,” Lucas whispered to his seat partner who held a stoic, yet slightly nervous look. “Do you have a pen?” She rolled her eyes at him with the air of a disappointed mother, before searching through her own bag and retrieving what he had asked for.

“The meeting for the foyer?” she said as if obvious, before signing heavily. “The one that Daphné told you about? The student commons that we’re refixing? Dude, you’re honestly helpless. Sometimes I wonder if you’re actually smart.”

“Hey,” he defended, but didn’t take it to heart. She was always like this. “I’m smart.”

“Then where’s your pen?” she countered with a mocking smile. Mrs. Rigaux began to pass out the sheets of paper, weaving around the class as it started to fall silent.

“I swear, girl, I had one. I must have left it in my last class or something.” A paper was placed forcefully in front of him as they were shushed by their teacher.

“Do I need to separate you two?” she tisked as she handed Imane her sheet. “No more talking.”

When the end of the day came around, Lucas had already forgotten about his missing pen, although at the time of its disappearance he had been contemplating putting up ‘missing person’ signs.

“Lucas,” his name was spoken with a smooth tone as he opened his locker. Lucas was clutching his books to his chest as he pulled it’s door open, effectively hiding the person from his sight.

“Eliott,” he returned in a similar voice.

“Are we still on for tomorrow?” he asked as if Lucas hadn’t just rudely shielded his face from him.

“And what are we doing tomorrow?” he replied, as he attempted to fit all his papers inside the small space. Eliott had moved around to stand at Lucas’ other side, his back resting against the neighbouring lockers.

“You promised to teach me chemistry,” the older boy said with a smile pulling at his lips.

“Eliott, you are an L student,” Lucas brushed him off, shutting his locker in the process.

“Doesn’t mean I don’t want to learn science, and you are a really, really good S student-- the best I heard.” Lucas didn’t know whether he wanted to punch him or blush; maybe both.

“I think you’re confusing me with Imane, but I will gladly set you two up for a study date if you’d like?” Lucas told him, beginning to walk away. Eliott followed like a puppy chasing after it’s owner.

“Come on, Lucas. I know you tutor other people, why not me?”

“Those kids are actual ‘S’ students, taking ‘S’ courses, plus I have better things to be doing than humouring you for an afternoon. Don’t you have a party to plan or something?”

“I’m offended, my love, horribly offended…Unless you want a party, then I’ll throw you a rager-- in your honour of course.”

“I don’t ‘party’ Eliott,” he responded, shifting his backpack from one shoulder to the next. Lucas didn’t like parties, or large crowds at all. He didn’t like being looked at in the halls, or being passively judged by the countless people in Eliott’s circle of friends. Lucas preferred to stay at home with his books or his video games, watching random videos online until three in the morning. 

The hallway was beginning to clear itself out the further they walked into the school.

“Sticking around?” Eliott noted the direction they were moving in. Lucas looked at him from his peripheral vision. Sure, Eliott was objectively hot, but objectively a lot of people were.

“Hey, man!” Someone greeted Eliott as they passed a group of first years. Eliott nodded at them but didn’t break away from Lucas.

“I’m going to that foyer meeting for my friends. Feel free to leave.”

“Sounds like fun, I’m in,” Eliott shrugged. Lucas stopped walking, turning to look at him carefully, watching him with curious eyes.

“Why are you like this?”

“Like what?” Eliott asked, tilting his head, his hands stuffed in his pockets.

“You’re going to come to the foyer meeting… voluntarily?”

“You’re going.”

“Yeah, but--”

“So I’m going.”

“I hate him,” Lucas told Yann as he flopped down on his best friend’s sofa. Basile and Arthur were stretched out on the floor, arguing amongst themselves about the Fifa game they were struggling to win.

“Why?” Yann asked, leaning back against the arm rest. Lucas blinked at him, his jaw clenched as he tried to verbalize his feelings.

“I… I don’t know! He’s just so… so…”

“Hot?” Arthur offered, not taking his eyes off the screen. Lucas nudged him with his foot, earning a noise of annoyance from the taller boy.

“Persistent,” Lucas concluded. “He won’t give up.”

“But… you like him?” Basile asked, curiously.

“Of course I don’t like him.”

“But he’s hot?” Basile questioned.

“I guess, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to date him.”

“But he’s also a nice guy,” Yann added, unhelpfully. “Always helpful, cheerful, popular-- everyone likes him.”

“Except me, apparently. Why do I have to like him? He walks around like the god of the school, just expecting me to… I don’t know, fall to his feet like everyone else? He’s always coming up with stupid excuses to see me, or talk to me. Every corner I take, I’m surprised when I don’t find him following me. He’s always listening to me, even when I’m purposefully talking absolute nonsense to bore him. He came to a foyer meeting today because I was going and then he volunteered to paint the mural for the common room because I mentioned how ugly it was and--” Lucas cut himself off, letting his brain catch up to his mouth.

“And what?” Yann asked, hanging on his last word.

“And I thought it was really nice,” Lucas spoke with a softer tone, surprising even himself. “I guess sometimes I get disappointed when he’s not at my locker waiting for me at the end of the day… like that one time he was sick and I was a bit worried something happened to him. Sometimes he leaves me these little drawings when he’s got football practice and can’t make it. I…” The boys were all staring at him as the realization dawned on him. “Do I like Eliott?”

Eliott was talking to some girls, a horde of girls actually. They were all smiling and giggling at something that he said, but he looked completely unphased by their reactions. His smile seemed more focused on what he was talking about, rather than who was listening.

“Ugh,” Alexia said, as Lucas and the Crew walked out of the common room. “He’s so hot. I can’t.”

“Aren’t you dating someone?” Lucas noted, watching the scene unfolding in front of him with an uncomfortable feeling in his stomach.

“So?” she replied, waving off his observation. The girls all laughed taking off down the hall with a chorus of ‘goodbyes’ to Lucas. Instead of heading to his next class, which would start soon as the lunch hour came closer to ending, he stood frozen like an idiot watching Eliott talk. The way his smile pinched the corners of his eyes the more he droned on about whatever was so fascinating. The way his hands moved as he explained something to the girls who so obviously didn’t care about anything other than staring at his angular face and model-esque physique. The way that Lucas knew, even without seeing, that Eliott’s eyes were probably shimmering as he laughed at his own joke. None of it settled right with Lucas.

Before he could register what he was doing, Lucas was marching across the hall with purposeful strides. Without a word, Lucas yanked Eliott into the nearby empty classroom, ignoring the confused and slightly shocked faces of the girls.

“Lucas!” Eliott spoke with a stern voice, completely caught off guard by the sudden and very unexpected action. Lucas had his arms crossed, his foot tapping against the ground as he glared at the popular boy with narrowed eyes.

“I don’t know how you did it,” Lucas said, his voice low. Eliott’s face twitched, unsure of what was happening. There was a pause.

“Did what?”

“Make me like you.” Eliott drew back his head at the answer, his mouth curving into a small smile. “Don’t look so smug, I’m still trying to figure out when you altered the chemicals in my brain.”

“The chemicals in your brain?”

“Yeah, with your… pheromones! God, I hate you!” Lucas shouted.

“Well clearly you don’t,” Eliott chuckled, finding Lucas’ inner turmoil utterly entertaining. Taking a breath, Lucas realized what he had admitted and what he had abruptly done, and he was mortified with himself. His cheeks turned pink with embarrassment, his mouth opening slightly only to close.

“I…” Lucas began slowly. “I don’t know what came over me. Sorry. Can we just ignore what I just said? Great, I’m leaving.” Lucas reached for the door knob, but Eliott stopped him, his fingers curled around Lucas’ wrist.

“Wait,” he started. “You can’t just leave.”

“Why not? I said stupid things and now I’m going to leave so we can pretend it never happened.”

“So, you don’t like me then?” The question hung in the air and it was as if his words were suffocating him.

“No.”

“No, as in you don’t like me, or no, as in you do like me?” Lucas raked his teeth across his bottom lip as Eliott waited for his answer. His hand was still holding Lucas in place, and it was as if Lucas’ entire body was on fire.

“The… latter.” Eliott’s eyes softened, his touch dropping from Lucas as he brought his arm back down to his side.

“What changed?” Lucas ran his own hand soothingly up and down his arm, as if trying to comfort himself in this moment of honesty.

“I don’t think anything did,” he finally said. “I think I just lost my pen.”

“The butterfly effect?” Lucas raised his brow, as Eliott gave a soft laugh. “I listen to you when you talk, you know. You mentioned it once because it was in a book you were reading.” All Lucas could do was look at him. He didn’t understand Eliott, or why he does the things he does, or why he acts the way he acts. Lucas was barely processing the sweetest thing anyone had ever said to him.

“Kiss me,” Lucas blurted out against his own better judgement. Something passed before Eliott’s eyes, as his smile grew into a genuine expression that made Lucas’ heart ache. Eliott stepped forward, drawing Lucas closer to him by his waist. Their lips were so close Lucas could feel the static between them.

“You can change your mind.” But Lucas didn’t want to. Rather, he tipped his head up, closing the space between them, wrapping his arms around Eliott’s neck to hold him even closer. It felt as if something clicked in Lucas; like a lock turning open with the right key, or the last piece being fitted into a puzzle. Eliott felt like something he had been missing, and finally the last code of his cipher has been discovered.

By the time the bell rang, they were breathless and reluctant to pull away.

“I have to get to biology,” Lucas sighed, running his fingers through Eliott’s hair.

“I have to go to philosophy.” They both made a face.

“I’ll see you at my locker?”

“Now that I’ve seduced you, I don’t need to stay an extra hour to wait for you,” Eliott teased playfully. Lucas, who had begun to move for the door, paused.

“You waited an extra hour for me?

“My day ends earlier than yours,” Eliott replied with a shrug, as he draped his arm over Lucas’ shoulders to walk into the hall.

“But--”

“Don’t feel bad, I didn’t mind waiting,” Eliott said, dropping a kiss on the top of Lucas’ hair. “Plus, it actually forced me to do my homework when I was bored.”

“Why are you so…”

“Perfect? Handsome? Amazing?” Lucas was going to say stupid. Stupid for wasting his time on Lucas.

“Sure,” Lucas gave in. “All of the above.” As Eliott tucked him closely into his side as he walked him to his biology class, Lucas could already feel the eyes on him making his entire body tense.

“They’re all jealous,” Eliott whispered in his ear as they rounded a corner. “That they never had a chance.”

“Never?” Lucas highly doubted that.

“Never ever. You’re all I’ve ever seen, since the first day I transferred here.”

“No pressure or anything,” Lucas muttered lightly. Eliott’s laugh rang in Lucas’ ear like a song that made his heart skip a beat.

“Absolutely none, my love. Absolutely none.”

Tsundere! School! Jeon Jungkook- My Words To You

You could only stand still behind a pillar, hearing all the terrible comments your own circle would hurl towards you. You were convinced that Ella and Sooji (This just reminds me of Revenge Note 2 so I had to do it)  The two were laughing like parrots on helium. It must have been really funny just digging into you like that.

“Why do we even hang out with her?”

“She’s Vivienne’s friend, that’s why!”

“Vivienne has poor taste, then. Just look at those ugly excuses for uniforms she wears.”

“She probably couldn’t even afford a better one. Have you seen her shoes?”

Your first instinct was to run away, not caring if they heard your footsteps or not. You thought about running into the bathrooms and hiding, but you’d probably be caught there. Maybe you could have hid in a classroom, but all of them were locked during lunch hour. You went to turn around a corner, only to ram into someone on the way. The impact sent you right to the floor with a loud thud. You scraped your knee pretty bad during the process. You landed right on the ground, making no sound other than your school bag dropping.

“Hey! Watch where you’re going!” a voice barked. You looked up and saw Jungkook, the school’s angel voiced singer. He didn’t particularly like you. Well, you never really talked to him. It was usually him yelling at you, calling you names, following you...just to call you names. The only bright side was that he never made fun of you for any reason. Not your uniforms or your shoes or your 3 year old torn up back pack.

You tried to scramble to your feet, ignoring the pain building up in your left leg. You attempted to walk away. Jungkook however, wasn’t having any of it.

“Aren’t you gonna apologize for- hey!” Jungkook put a hand on your shoulder to stop you from running. “I’m talking to-....Have you been crying?”

You hadn’t even noticed the tears streaming down your face. You furiously wiped them off, pushing his hand off you in the process of it all. You attempted to walk away, only to be stopped again.

“Hey! Stupid!” he shook his head at you. “You’re hurt.” He looked down at your knee.

“What do you care?” you sniffed, wiping your eyes again.

“i don’t!” he scoffed, rolling his eyes. “Why were you running anyways?”

“I thought you said you didn’t care.” you crossed your arms.

“Well I have a right to know why you bumped into me so rudely!” he scoffed. “Seriously, dummy. What’s wrong?” When you didn’t answer, he groaned out loud. He began digging into his own backpack and pulled out a bandaid. "At least let me fix your stupid mistake." he bent down on knee and put the bandaid on your scrape.

"You didn't have to do that." you crossed your arms, hoping he couldn't see your embarrassment. "I c-could have done that myself."

“Well you were standing there like a statue so I obviously have to do everything! Come on.” he suddenly grabbed your hand, dragging you in the direction he was going.

“Hey! Let me go!” you protested. “Where are you taking me?” You noticed he was heading for the front doors of the school. “Were you about to leave school?”

“Yep.”

“We can’t leave! We could get in trouble!” you felt your heart drop. "We could get detention if anyone finds out!"

“Well be quiet and no one will hear us leaving.” Jungkook didn’t show any sign of letting your hand go. He threw open the huge door that lead outside, still dragging you along. “We’re going to get noodles.”

“B-but I don’t really have any money on me at the moment.”

“Did I say you were paying? Pfft, Dummy.”

...

“Eat.”

A steaming hot bowl of noodles with rice balls on the side was set in front of you. Jungkook sat across from you with his own food. You looked up at him, and back down the your bowl, then back up at him.

“What?” he glared at you. “I said eat.”

“Why did you take me here?” you asked bluntly. “Why did you drag me out of school?”

“Could you stop asking so many questions.” he glared at you. “Stop being so stupid.”

“Stop calling me stupid!” you snapped back. “Just because you don’t like me doesn’t mean you have to be so mean to me!” you glared potholes into his head.

“Well if you weren’t so dumb, I wouldn’t have to be this way.” he rolled his eyes. “You’d better eat all of that. I paid for it! You aren’t leaving until you finish all of that….and I never said I didn't like you” he mumbled the least part so low that you barely picked up on it.

You eyed the plate, suddenly welcomed by a rumble from the pit of your stomach. You were starving. Deciding that it would be wasteful, you listened to Jungkook and picked up your chopsticks, beginning to eat.

“Why were you crying earlier?”

You looked up, seeing Jungkook with his arms crossed. He stared you down with a semi-curious (but also seemingly disinterested) look on his face. “You aren’t leaving until you tell me.” he looked genuinely concerned at that point, but was actively working to mask it behind his usual face of annoyance.

“I overheard Sooji and Ella talking about me.” you replied honestly. “They were talking about how Vivienne was the only reason they tolerated me.”

“Vivienne is your friend right?” he asked.

“Yes.” you bit back a sniff. “T-they always talk about how poor I am…how I can't afford nice shoes or anything.”

“Did you tell her about it?” he cut you off.

“No.” you shook your head. “They’re her friends too, I can’t do that. They've been her friends longer than me, I couldn't come between their friendship.”

“You really are a dummy.” he chuckled. “Listen, if you ever need help. I’m going to give you my number, and you’re going to call me when you’re in trouble.” he said seriously.

“Huh?” you nearly chocked on a rice-ball.

“You heard me, idiot. If something happens to you. I want to be the first person you call for help.” he dug his phone out of his pocket. “Put your number in my phone.”

“I thought you didn’t like me.” you hesitated.

“Is your heart so closed off that you can’t detect when someone cares about you?” he scoffed. “Not that I care about you! I just don’t want you to get beat up because a dummy like you can’t defend herself. That would look bad on me.”

You weren’t sure, but you could detect amusement in his voice. You reluctantly took his phone and input your number into it.

“Good.” he took his phone back. "And another thing…I wouldn't take anything those two say as fact. Sooji can't even pass Gym case because she's afraid her hair will get messed up." he joked.

"That isn't nice." you scolded. "You shouldn't talk about people."

"Well if they talk about you, then they should be able to take a little heat, shouldn't they?" he asked. “Now finish eating, I’m walking you home.”

“This is your where you live?!”

Jungkook stared up in awe at the apartment building.

“Yeah. It’s nothing.” you shook your head. You pushed the little intercom button on the golden doors. “It’s Y/N, can you let me in please?”

“Yes, welcome home Miss Y/N.”

Jungkook was surprised that this place was so secure you had to be let in by someone else. You were dubbed the poor girl at school, he didn’t expect you to live here, even in a tiny house no less. He was surprised to walk into the lobby and see an extravagant gold and white decor on each wall. There was a woman at the front desk who bowed respectfully as you two walked in.

“Good afternoon Miss Y/N! You’re home early!” she said enthusiastically. “Is this a boyfriend?”

“No, he’s just walking me home.” you answered shyly. “Are my parents home?”

“Yes! They just came back from their business trip!”

Jungkook watch this interaction in complete confusion. Rumors had gone around school that you lived in a little sea shack miles away and had to take multiple buses to get to school. But no, that wasn’t the case at all.

“You can go now.” you turned to Jungkook. “Thanks for walking me home.”

“What? Are you stupid! I have to make sure you get to your house.”

“You really don’t, I’ll be fine, I promise.” you waved him off, walking up to the elevators. Jungkook didn’t listen and followed you in. He walked as you grabbed a key-card out of your bag and shoved it into a little slot next to the buttons. You stood in silence, ignoring Jungkook’s stares. When you got to your floor, you took your little key-card out of the slot so the doors would open. Instead of a hallways like Jungkook expected, he was welcomed to a huge living room.

“This is your apartment?!”

“Yeah, it's a bit too fancy…but it's home.” you shrugged. “Mom! Dad?” you called aloud.

Your father was currently struggling with a toaster while your mother was drinking some tea.

“Y/N! You’re home early!” your mom out her mug down and rushed over to you, giving you a huge hug. “Was school let out early?”

“Not exactly.” you looked down. “I left.”

“Why?” you father looked up from his focus on the toaster. “That isn’t like you, young lady.”

“Actually it’s my fault.” Jungkook made his presence known. “I was leaving and took Y/N with me.”

“And who are you?” your mother turned her daggers on him. "Are you tainting my daughter's mind?"

“He’s my friend!” you answered quickly. “He was taking me to the nurse and decided to help me get home.” you lied, not wanting him to get in trouble. "I tripped and hurt my leg and he offered to help me get home." you motioned to the bandage on your knee.

“Oh!” your mother’s face brightened up. “Thank you for taking care of my Y/N! It’s so good to know she has a friend.” she smiled warmly at Jungkook. "She's always complaining about how she feels alone at school."

"Mom!" you whined, gritting your teeth at your blabber-mouthed caretaker.

“Oh..Yes! Of course!” Jungkook bowed respectfully. “I wanted to make sure Y/N was okay.”

“Well that’s very nice of you.” your father walked around to put an arm around you. “My Y/N is very important to us.”

“I can tell.” he looked at you, letting you know that he wasn’t letting this go.

“Im not sure if you can tell but she has trouble making friends” your father whispered. “Don’t hold it against her if she pushes you away sometimes.”

“I wouldn’t dream of it.”

"Hey Y/N!"

You suddenly sped up, walking past Sooji and Ella as they tried to wave at you. You pretended to be focused on something- anything else that would make it look purposeful. You didn't want to talk to them, or even look at them after the way they talked about you.

"Yo Dummy!"

That was your cue to try and walk faster than before, you didn't really want to see Jungkook either. But alas, he managed to catch up to you. "What do you want ?"

"Um….listen I don't know if yesterday was some sort of-"

"Yes, that was really my house. No, I'm not poor like everyone thinks, and yes I'm aware that I look very poor." you said in a monotone voice. "We done here?"

"So why have you been letting people bully you for being poor, if you're supposedly not?" he looked confused. "Why would you put yourself through that?"

"Yeah my house is a little bigger than everyone else's. I'd rather pretend to be poor and hated for that than have people pretend to want to be my friend." you explained. "Jungkook…please just keep this between me and you. I'll do whatever you want."

"Who am I gonna tell and what would I have to gain from telling everyone your business, dummy." he scoffed. "It's not my business to tell." You didn't know how to reply to that, so you settled for looking at your shoes. "Hey."

"What?" you looked up at Jungkook. He was shifting from side to side.

"…If you aren't busy after school. Who am I kidding, you probably aren't,"  he huffed. " Do you maybe want to-..."

"Are you asking me out?"

"Don't cut me off, stupid! I mean…yeah." he sighed. "You owe me for having to look out of for you twice as much!"

"What?"

"Because not only are you clumsy, but now that I know you're being bullied, I have to work twice as hard. Taking extra time out of my extremely busy schedule to protect you!" the way he said it made no sense. You weren't even sure if you wanted to question it either. "So…you're going to go on a date with me."

"Oh." you felt your face head up. "Y-yeah, alright."

"G-good! You're going to meet me after school and w-we'll go somewhere!" he concluded. "and since I'm taking you somewhere, I get to choose where we go! Got it?"

"Yeah, sure…whatever you say Jungkook."

Ch. 1 // Mirrors For Friends: The Intro

The air was a mixture of sounds. Instruments being prepped, jokes being thrown, random conversations and the occasional song that played in the background. Just another day in Mirrors For Friends, well for everyone except for you. Earplugs in and an eye mask on, you’d been laying on the dingy couch since you arrived at the bar hours prior. Of course you just had to get a migraine on a day where your band had a show. It was about two hours to showtime, and you were just as good as dead. For once, you were thankful that you had your bassist, Atsumu to cover at least some of your vocals.

Atsumu, Miya. The youngest member remains a complete pain in your ass, but you couldn't see your life without him in it. He was the life of the party, and had been your party buddy during your early 20s. The one always down for a good adventure. You could always rely on him to tell you the honest truth, although it had taken a while to get past his overly blunt nature. Once you did, you saw the resident “pretty boy” for the dork that he was. The one who gets pouts whenever the conversation is moving too fast and he can’t think of a retort fast enough. The one who absolutely melted at the sight of food and would even share some of his brother’s famous onigiri with you. When he's not plucking bass strings he works as an assistant volleyball coach for the local high school. Your love for your band mate had eventually replaced your first meeting with the basest. A meeting than ended in you wanting nothing more than to wipe his stupid smirk off with your fist. You had just started your second year of university, completely minding your business until a stray volleyball made its way to the back of your head. Before anyone could even apologize, you’d manage to throw a few curses at the group of rowdy boys. Your future band mate had come over to apologize but ended it with “maybe you should've been paying more attention.”  After flicking him off you never thought you’d see him again, until you were formally introduced by none other than your drummer.

Hajime, Iwaizumi. The drummer of Mirrors For Friends. The oldest member of your quartet. There was only one year between you and him, but two years between him and Atsumu. Iwa, is the backbone of the band. The most responsible one, having taken care of a drunk you more times than you’d like to admit. If your feet were ever hurting, he’d be the one to give you a piggy back. He definitely looked the most bad ass of you all, with two sleeves of tattoos. Despite that he has a soft spot for the band. He's the most responsible of the band, but you learned that despite that nature, he knew how to have fun. He’d definitely supplied an underage you with alcohol before. When he’s not playing with the band, he's a tattoo artist, and has tattoo’d every member of the band multiple times. In fact, he was the only person you trusted to tattoo you. You’d met him midway through your first year of university, when he was an apprentice. Despite being 19, he’d already had a full sleeve and a shiny eyebrow piercing. In his attempts to calm you down, you learned that he was only a year above you. He was definitely more calming than the jerk that had dragged you to the tattoo shop in the first place. That person being your guitarist.

Tetsurou Kuroo, the guitarist of Mirrors For Friends. He was one of the first people you’d met in university where he ended up being your across neighbor. You’d had your door open in an attempt to get some air circulation in the stuffy dorm, when he noticed your guitar. Full of stickers, it looked used and he was curious. After, finding out the two of you had a common interest in music, the two of you became best friends. He’d ended up being the brother you never asked for. His teasing is similar to Atsumu, however he knew how to keep up. You two became nearly inseparable. He was the member you tended to confide in first, because it was just natural. The one always down to just vibe. You remember the many nights spent in private study rooms, just writing and talking music together. You quickly found out that his writing skills were incredible, not only that but he had the best ear for composing of any of your band mates. Some of your favorite pieces came from writing sessions with just the two of you. When he isn’t antagonizing your band, he works as a TA for a science class at your university. He decided about a year ago to go back to school for a higher degree in biochemistry.

Then there was you. Lead singer, keyboardist, and occasional guitar player when you felt like it. At 26, you’d been in the band since you were 20, and you wouldn’t change it for the world. You loved writing, you loved performing and you loved your boys. Even now when you could feel napkins that you had no doubt were greasy pizza stained ones being thrown at you. It took for the fifth one to hit your forehead to finally sit up, removing both your earplugs and eye mask. Groaning at the combination of fluorescent lighting and noise you shot death glares at your band mates. Who were all miraculously just standing next to one another, pretending to have just been doing nothing but talking. “Would you three do me a favor, and drive off a fucking cliff.”

“I told them to stop,” is what Iwaizumi said, but the smirk on his face said he played a role just like your other idiots.”

“Dude you threw the last one!” Kuroo chimed in.

“Yeah well Atsumu started it”

“What the fuck Iwa- selling me out”

If it weren't for the pounding behind your eyes you might’ve been amused and the usual bickering between the boys. Afterall, it was never serious. If only you could enjoy it.

“Would the 3 overgrown toddlers shut up.” Burying your face into your hand’s you felt the couch dip beside you in the now empty space, and another voice picked up from across the room.

“Yo- what's with the attitude today,” your bassist questioned. He had settled himself on a smaller couch, eyes narrowed on your miserable form. Once he heard the mention of a migraine, his gaze softened. “Tsumu, I’m gonna need to to sing a little more today alright. '' The younger boy nodded, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder. He mentioned something about going to look for a pen and paper, so you two could outline a plan and to make sure you had a stool for tonight.

“You wanna go smoke? It should help a little,” the body next to you moved and you looked up to see Kuroo, offering a hand.. “It’s a spot in the shade out back, c’mon.” You took the hand and before you could head out your last bandmade stopped you.

“I have enough time to go pick up some Advil and maybe some caffeine. Don’t smoke too much, you know how strong Kuroo’s shit is. We still have a show tonight.”

“Don’t worry daddy Iwa, I’ve got our beloved lead singer. We’ll be fine.”

First things first, Bruno absolutely loves the moles that litter your body. Whenever there’s down time and you both have time to yourselves, he likes to trace little patterns or create stories while connecting his finger from mole to mole while he stares at you adoringly. To him, your sense of fashion is impeccable and unique in it’s own right when compared to that of the gang and what he’s accustomed to seeing in the streets of Italy.

He adores the sparkle and curious look that always gleams in your eyes whenever you’re in the midst of studying and learning, and will most definitely answer any question you may be to the best of his ability. He’ll also be the one to remind you that there’s no such thing as dumb questions. He finds your dancing and singing absolutely endearing and loves to join in with you whether he’s good at either is up to you~. To him, he just enjoys spending every waking moment with you doing the silliest and simplest things, he finds that the best time to snuggle up to you is when you both have a movie night.

Bruno won’t out right admit it, but he indulges in the horror movies you both watch. It gives him an excuse to hold you closer as well as another cute little thing to protect you from. He’s most definitely patient when it comes to you opening up, and is 1000% supportive of you no matter what you do. Your smile is one of the most treasured things to him, and he’ll do almost anything to protect it. 

Someone considerate and patient when it comes to affection and opening up, he understands that you may have gone through hardships, and works immensely hard to let you know within your own pace that he’s here for you and he won’t be going anywhere. Despite not being the best academic student, he’ll find your passion for it almost strange yet endearing. He realizes it’s similar to his love for volleyball and in all honesty-- uses the fact you’re smart to his advantage. When really it’s advantageous for you both as you both not only get to spend time with one another, but to help support and encourage one another with your passions! 

Hinata will most definitely sing and dance around the living room with you in all his chaotic glory. The memories that build upon these silly yet simple things are some of the other things he absolutely treasures. Similar to you, he’s absolutely afraid of horror movies, but will watch with you (if you bribe him properly hehe) He’ll literally wrap a blanket over the both of you as a shelter from the horrors of the film. 

He may not be the best when it comes to picking up or understanding that you have issues, but don’t fret! If he does start to notice something (which considering how much more observant he’s become) he’ll go straight to Sugawara for advice of how to handle it. He doesn’t want to rely on Sugawara to fix the situation for him, instead he wants to be able to learn and be there for you whenever you do need him. 

He absolutely loves your affection, and understands that you may not be super affectionate as he may be, but he does notice the little gestures you do that are tuned into helping him and boy, does he appreciate it! 

When it comes to the NSFW, Hinata is most definitely a switch leaning more sub. He’s not afraid to try something new, but if it means your happiness and joy he’s more than willing to at least try it once.

He’s literally a chaotic optimistic boy who will without a doubt break out into any song and dance with you the moment he feels it quake in his bones. If he hears a song he immensely enjoys blasting through the speakers, do expect that he’ll sweep you off your feet to dance with him in the living room/kitchen. 

Though he’s not completely a dork, as he’s the reliable captain of the swim team, so do expect that he’ll notice if something is off with you. He’s patient when he needs to be and tries his damned hardest to make sure you understand that he wants to talk and be with you because he’s fallen in love with you. Every little bit of you, faults and all. 

He’s a little pouty when it comes to affection and really likes to hug and cuddle you from behind, but honestly appreciates and adores your acts of service for not only him but his teammates. It literally just makes him become even more smitten with you. 

As for NSFW, he’s similar to that of Bruno but just a touch more of a Dom as he wants to not only tease, but play coy with you. If you’re able to best him he’ll submit with ease, but just keep in mind that it’ll be a fight for the top~.

hey since this is my blog and i can do whatever i want im gonna lose my absolute shit at the parralels between Akasha and Heinwald because hoLy BALLS these two

The main thing between the two of them stems not from their interest in knowledge but from their responsibility with it. Akasha from her adventurer story was revealed to originally be this push-over scholar who believed that all the indignities she was made to suffer would ultimately never matter because she was "nothing" and she would eventually reach her own truth. However she's showing this in an illusion to Heinwald, who after seeing her sacrifice/combine herself to the entity within the grimoire (very likely the TRUE Hastur or even the Ancient-One thats referenced multiple times based off the Stirring Shadows event) to truly become Akasha or "Void", immediately questions the truth of the illusion to which Akasha herself says it may or may not be true but the reality is that she doesn't remember how or why she became this way. Akasha also apparently can apply a universal concept of permanence through time to make either past or future events exist in the present which is why the friendship gang know her even though they've technically never met until the "future" and how she can communicate to her younger self and inspire her to actually be selfish for once. This permanence through time was only circumvented by Heinwald, Lathna, and curiously Curran as well.

Heinwald, after learning about all this just laughs at how much of a hypocrite she is and that he would have much preferred to meet her original self who actually wanted to learn because of her natural curiosity rather than amass information aimlessly, which may seem hypocritical from him but a very clear distinction between Heinwald and Akasha here is that Akasha doesnt care about the consequences of her actions anymore while Heinwald cares too much.

Heinwald in his adventurer stories reveals he's massively empathetic of people and that he feels personally responsible for any suffering caused by his investigations and sleuthing habits because it ultimately got his family killed. He goes so far as to call Euden a greater genius than him solely because Euden helps him realize that he shouldn't be responsible for every single problem ever since that's Eudens mission to build a greater kingdom. Heinwald criticizes Akasha because he doesn't seek truth for the truths sake, but he does so to help people. Akasha on the other hand lost any and all empathy for the people around her because she finally believed she found purpose and didn't have to restrain her emotions anymore. Her family was abusive and negligent, her professor was stealing her research and she was hated by jealous scholars for her work, but she was able to keep it all in because she still had an escape in her studies. However when that was taken she decided to fully give herself up to the entity and merge with them (its implied by the dialogue here that Akasha may have thought she would die in this ritual), abandoning everyone and wanting to unleash the Ancient-One for no reason other than that she has freedom to do something for once so she wants to see what happens.

Based on the ending of the Stirring Shadows event, it's revealed that Akashas goal wasn't actually to use Lathna as the key and herself as the gate (which is implied to be ANOTHER attempted suicide since Akasha decribed that she would literally be wrenched open and summon the Ancient-One out of herself) but rather set the pieces in place for Heinwald to awaken his own connection to the abyss, which at the very end Heinwald pulls a reverse uno on her and says he was already awakened and that Lathna was just another necessary piece for whatever her eventual plot is. She planned to fail her ritual by setting Heinwald and Curran up to find her mid-ritual so as to ensure that Lathna awakens.

Overall these two are such opposite characters yet in Akashas final story she understands she's twisted and CHALLENGES Heinwald to see which one between the two of them would be saved, if Heinwald would accept what he is and drown in the Ancient-Ones all knowing or if Akasha would come to terms with what she is and build genuine bonds with others HEINWALD WAS TEMPTED BY HER BECAUSE HES STILL VERY NATURALLY CURIOUS BUT AT THE SAME TIME THE ONLY INSTANCE OF A VULNERABLE AKASHA WAS WHEN SHE WAS SHARING HER STORY OF BEING ALONE WITH HIM THESE TWO ARE SO SIMILAR THE ONLY REASON AKASHA TURNED WAS BECAUSE SHE DIDNT HAVE A CURRAN OF HER OWN HEINWALD WAS PRETTY MUCH NEGLECTED BY EVERYONE AND HE ENDED UP GETTING HIS OWN FAMILY KILLED YET EVEN IF HE WOULD BE BRANDED A HERETIC HE DIDNT CARE BUT CURRAN ACCEPTED HIM AS HE IS HE UNDERSTANDS HEINWALD BETTER THAN HIMSELF AND FOR SOMEONE TRAPPED IN HIS OWN MORAL QUANDRIES ITS CURRANS SIMPLE LOGIC AND ACCEPTANCE OF HIS MANNERISMS THAT CEMENTS HIM AS HEINWALDS FRIEND AND WITH THAT SAME TYPE OF ACCEPTANCE AKASHA COULD ALSO FIND GENUINE COMPANIONS IN THE TWO OF THEN AND IM LIVING FOR THIS ROAD TO EL DORADO TRIO DYNAMIC

Hello! What makes you ship Levi and Eren? (always curious about how people get into ereri)

Hi there, anon! I wish I could’ve answered this briefly but you’ve asked me something that I could honestly ramble on about forever. I’d try to be precise but I’m afraid it’d still be quite long because I don’t have the time to summarise, so bear withe me please >.

Okay so first of all, I used to be more into Eremika than Ereri in the beginning and the precious Eremika moment from Chapter 50 owned my heart. Back then the 13 y/o me didn’t get shit about Levi and Eren’s platonic canon relationship. But the popularity of Ereri was overwhelming and even though they were far from being my OTP I still shipped them in AU settings mainly because the fanfics were excellent. Also, at that point of time, I was more invested in the Naruto fandom and SS was my only OTP. In fact, I didn’t even know about the Visual Novel until late 2015 or early 2016 (I don’t remember exactly) which made me really get into Ereri. Reading the VN actually changed my whole perspective on Ereri and made me realise the depth of their canon relationship. When I re-read the manga again after that none of their subtle moments were lost on me and that’s how the ship started growing on me. Since then I even began picking up on a lot of parallels, symbolisms, etc. associated with them and all of that collectively went into becoming the reason why Ereri is my OTP.

I probably cannot think up of everything that makes me ship them at one go. Also I have my internals next week and Im losing my mind. Anyway here are some of the reasons that immediately came to mind when I saw your ask:

• Levi equating Eren to “The Tyger” : The VN concluded with the first two stanzas of Blake’s poem “The Tyger”. The poem is taken from The Songs of Innocence and Experience and the entire volume focuses on two things : the transition from childhood into adulthood and the existence of both beneficial and malevolent forces in human beings. So in the novel, Levi’s understanding, acceptance and even admiration of both the humane and the monstrous potential in Eren is commendable : “A monster with perfect, fearsome beauty; that inspires awe” Also, Levi acknowledges Eren’s will that “cannot be made to surrender” and his drive for freedom that “people living like birds in cages won’t get”. This shows us how Levi realizes that Eren’s mental maturity is not that of a normal 15 yo; that his “experiences” have made him into someone much more gritty, resilient and strong-willed for his age. “The Tyger” here is the agent of free-will and the poem further emphasises on free spirit by incorporating references to mythological figures who’re deemed as humanity’s heroes, for instance, “seize the fire” refers to Prometheus who is mankind’s hero because he stole fire from Zeus. It is said that because of him mankind could gain knowledge ; that mankind could step out of the bounds of ignorance ( See the parallel with Eren who said how ignorance is the biggest obstacle to freedom in Chapter 112 ). Another hero alluded to in the poem is Icarus who grew his wings of freedom and attempted to reach the farthest point (dangerously close to the sun) even though he was burned in the attempt (parallels with Eren’s whole attitude of ‘no matter what kind of hell awaits me I’ll keep moving forward’ ). Yeah so, that’s how deep Levi’s understanding of Eren runs.( Can you imagine the entire arc of Eren’s character was foreshadowed in Levi’s thoughts about him?) To me understanding is the most important factor when it comes to a ship so, I think Levi’s pov in the VN is the biggest contributor to their development.

• The way Eren looks at Levi : Idk how cliched this sounds but yes, the way he looks at Levi honestly gives me life. Be it in the Forest of the Giant Trees, or in the Reiss Chapel or in the Marley Arc, his eyes say it all. Add to this his signature shaky way of saing “Captain?”, idk if it’s only me but that just carries so much feeling, so much angst, so many unspoken emotions right there. If Levi’s thoughts on Eren made me fall in love with Ereri in the first place then Eren’s body language when it comes to Levi made me fuckin smitten over them (i kid u not honestly this ship is one of the very few things that actually give me the will to live)

• Hope and Strength : Honestly, I love Levi and Eren’s roles as humanity’s strength and humanity’s hope because this actually speaks volumes about their relationship. If Erwin gave Levi’s strength a dimension then Eren gave his strength meaning. Their roles in canon show their inter-dependence. After all, what is strength without hope? I don’t remember who first pointed this out, but someone said that this is the very concept the Survey Corps logo alludes to. The Wings of Freedom are shown as blue and white because royal blue represents strength and white represents hope. So the Wings are symbolical of what Levi and Eren individually stand for as well as signifies their dependence on each other.

• Levi’s role as Eren’s guardian : I love him both as Eren’s protector and his mentor. (oh also let’s not forget Eren had a little crush on him,,how adorable 🥺)

We’ve seen Levi giving it his all to protect Eren multiple times. And when he couldn’t protect him during the Battle of Trost because of his injury we see him clenching his fists in frustration. Again, in RTS we see Levi quite baffled when Erwin orders him to protect the horses and not protect Eren. Also in the RTS when Eren got flung on top of the wall, Levi was visibly concerned and then when Erwin couldnt come up with a plan that’d guarantee their survival, he quickly suggested that BOTH Erwin and Eren flit from there. This goes on to show how Levi thinks Erwin and Eren are EQUALLY important for ensuring humanity’s survival. It is evident from here that his liege and his mentee both belong on the same pedestal and he’d do anything to save them. Levi similarly comes up with an abrupt suggestion again in Ch 112 to save Eren when the Soldiers informed him that the higher authorities plan on having Eren eaten. Even though he clearly disapproved of Eren’s actions in Liberio, even though Levi himself always adhered to rules and discipline, he still had faith in Eren and he’d never accept such a ridiculous order, even if it came from Pixis. (plus he remembers the first time he met Eren which sort of makes us realize that Levi still sees himself as Eren’s protector🥺)

Next comes Levi’s role as a mentor in Eren’s life. I think his words of advice to Eren is an important factor that made him the man he is today. Levi encouraged him to believe in himself, he acknowledged his willpower, appreciated his relentless drive for freedom and even goaded him on to make important choices by himself. The recent happenings in the manga made a lot of people say that Eren follows the principle of “the end justifies the means” but originally, to quote Levi: “nobody can dictate you on what is the right path or what is the wrong one till you arrive at a certain outcome resulting from your choice”. I think one of the major reasons why Levi kicked Eren in the Marley arc again was because the outcome that Eren caused (at least according to Levi and the SC) was making Paradis the enemy of the whole enemy of the world and also a mountain of civilian deaths. This is just head canon but I think Levi was mainly disappointed because Eren didn’t seek his approval (unlike in the Reiss Chapel incident where he urged Levi to have faith in him before jumping into action of his own volition). Him comparing Eren with the underground thugs also makes me assume that he was genuinely hurt because he thought Eren has become complacent to the point where he doesn’t see Levi as a mentor anymore. But, right after his voice trails with the “you too..”, we see Eren looking up at him with the same beaming eyes. Curious why he’d do that at that instant. Also, during Serum Bowl, Eren used his height as the trump card to tower upon Levi. It was the only time he actually defied Levi and he did manage to look 100 percent domineering. But, post time skip Eren grew in leaps and bounds and he could easily repeat that but HE DID NOT. In fact, he utters his usual “Captain..?” and his eyes also have the same look. So maybe he still sees Levi as his inspiration but he cannot express that because he’s in a bind and has to act distant and cold with everyone. After all in Chapter 121, in the memory panel, we did see him recalling that very moment when Levi first advised him on making independent choices. His role as the mentor in Eren’s life is therefore once again reinforced by Isayama and I think that adds substantially to their wonderful platonic dynamic.                                        ____________xxx___________

A few years after getting your quirk your parents decided to move to Japan, they didn’t like the rules on quirks in Belgium nor the way other people handled you for pretty much having two quirks and the fact that with one of them you could take control over them.

During this time you had searched some schools to go for your dream of becoming a hero and found one of the best. UA.

After a few years of training, it was finally time to show what you were capable of, February 26th, this date would determine your future. There you stood, in front of UA, the most prestigious hero school of Japan. While walking you saw a cute girl saying good luck to a guy with green hair and walking away. The guy afterwards made some noise, getting the attention of people around him.

“Must be his girlfriend or something.”

“Welcome to today’s life performance! Everybody say ‘Hey!’ !”

It stayed silent, no one bothered to yell. “HEEEEEY!” Until you yelled that is. Present Mic seemed to appreciate your “hey” and gave you a big thumps up, it made you happy. He was so cool!

“Well that’s cool, my examinees listeners! I’m here to present the guidelines of your practical!! Are you ready?!”

“YEAH!!” You yelled together with Present Mic, once again,  he gave you a big thumps up for your efforts. Though some people gave you a few annoyed glances, especially this guy with rectangle glasses … and… rectangle eyes? Curious, he scared you a bit, he seemed so fit.

You could hear someone mutter, looking around for the source you saw broccoli guy, he was sitting two rows down you. “- I listen to his radio show every week. It’s inspiring. Guess all the UA teachers are pro heroes.” A spiky haired blondie quickly told him to “Shaddup.”   ‘They seem either great friends or total enemies.’ Shrugging you turned your attention back to Present mic who was explaining the testing locations and the faux villains. After rectangle guy called out broccoli present mic began explaining the gimmick, who was worth zero points.

Present mic then ended his explanation “PLUS ULTRA! Break a leg everyone!”

Everyone went to their respective testing location, to your surprise you saw some familiar faces. ‘Oh, it’s broccoli, rectangle and the cute girl.’ Broccoli seemed nervous, waking over to him you put your hand on his shoulder. “Hey, why do you look so afraid?” The guy jumped at your touch and turned around, poor guy he looked like he would run away. “Ah! I-im not a-afraid, just n-nervous.”

You smiled at him, hoping to calm his nerves. “Don’t worry, you’ll defiantly get through the exam. No need to be nervous.” You tapped him on the back a few times before walking away to stretch and crack you fingers. They cracked loudly, some people around you flinched away. “Haha, sorry about that.” Suddenly you heard everyone say lucky while staring at a certain direction. “What a bunch of weirdos.”

“And…BEGIN!” Quickly you ran around the frozen examinees, hoping to get points quickly. “See you later suckers! Hahahaha!”

 Running inside you immediately saw a three pointer, smirking you ran to it. You let your strings move to the faux villain, taking control you jumped on it. “Might as well use you no?” Grinning you moved the bot to the other faux villains and began your attempt at rampage. You saw a one pointer and began running to it, almost there a large blue beam went past you and destroyed it. A weird guy stood there, looking smug and ran away. “Merci.”

“The fuck?” Deciding that moving on your feet would be faster than on the bot you made it destroy itself.  “Three points.” You looked around and saw that multiple people already had quite an amount.

“25 points”

“40 points”

Face turning white you started running to the back of the location, hoping to find some pointers. ‘How did I get behind like that? This wasn’t supposed to happen!’ Desperately you looked around.

‘There. 15 in one place.’

There were three 3pointers, two 2pointers and two one pointers. Running to them with your strings you took control of a 1pointer. They were fast but fragile. Controlling the bot you destroyed the 2pointers and the other 1pointer. You wrapped your strings around the head of the bot and destroyed it.

“Only nine?!” Determined to destroy the other two fast you ran to them. You jumped on one of them, the other bot attacked it and you jumped of it, it cleanly made a hole trough it and made it explode. Using your strings you had the other 3pointer tear itself apart. Seeing that there were two 1pointers coming your way you took control of the last 3pointer. You made it smash them, gaining you two additional points. Once again you let the robot destroy itself the same way you did to the others.

“20 points, finally.”

Suddenly Present mic’s voice rang out. “six minutes, two seconds remaining.”

Freaking out you looked around yourself, there were pretty much little to none bots remaining in the area. Suddenly you saw an examinee that was having trouble with a 3pointer. Sprinting you managed to get your strings there in time to stop the bot from smashing the scared person. With trained fingers you had it smash itself onto the ground head first, destroying it completely. You went to the examinee and took their hand, to help them up.

“Hey, are you alright?” Smiling reassuringly you helped them gain their balance. “Y-yes! Thank you so much, I would’ve been crushed if it wasn’t for you. You’re really awesome”

You rubbed your hand behind your neck embarrassed to have a compliment like that. “A-ah, it’s a future heroes duty to help, no?”

“One minute, five seconds remaining.” At that exact time you heard a loud “SMASH!” Looking closely you saw that broccoli had punched the huge zero pointer down. “Amazing.”

Before you knew it, you had no more time left.

A few days had gone by with you anxiously waiting for a letter from UA in your room. You had a feeling that perhaps you weren’t going to get in the school.

“Man, I only got 23 points, that’s like…nothing. God! I should’ve just broken every bot instead of having one destroy others!” Slamming your hands onto your face you fell down onto your bed and threw a small temper tantrum by rolling violently around while kicking your legs and yelling “AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”

You could feel the gaze of your neighbours through the walls.

Luckily for you, your parents weren’t at home. After having calmed yourself down you just laid there on your bed,  feeling sorry for yourself. As you blinked up at the ceiling you could hear someone slip something in the mail by the door. With your eyes wide open, surprise written on your face you jumped out of bed, nearly slamming into the wall of your room and sprinting downstairs on your socks, ultimately slipping on the third last step and slamming butt down onto said step and falling down the next two until you stopped on the floor. There you laid, pitifully wallowing in your own stupid decision of running down the stairs with socks while holding your bum.

You looked before yourself into nothingness, you could even feel the pain and the pressure in your lungs from the fall. With a sharp breath and the realisation of having fallen registered in your brain you cursed out loud, yelling to the world about the pain.

A few minutes later you managed to get yourself up in pain, thinking that you’d probably feel that for the rest of the week.

You went to the letterbox and saw a small white and quite thin letter laying on the floor.

Crouching down a bit you took it into our hands and went to sit on the couch in your living room, you sat there staring at the letter. It was thin and an acceptance letter that was thin couldn’t spell anything well. With slightly shaky hands you opened the letter and took out the paper from inside.

“Dear Mr and Mrs L/N

The score of 23 villain points and an additional 3 rescue points which in total make 26 points for the practical exam, together with 60% on the written exam.

With these scores we regret to inform you that Y/N L/N has not passed the entrance exam for U.A.

We have other courses that do not demand an entrance exam where miss L/N can enrol with the score of her written exam. Please take a look at the added page for these courses and we hope to see miss Y/N L/N at our school.”

This text was written on your letter signed by the principal.

The news took some time to process but when it did it hit you hard. Your breathing fastened and your face began to feel warm. Your eyes stung with the tears that were forming as you swallowed any sounds that might’ve come out.

You let your head drop, shoulders shaking with your silent tears as disappointment was felt deep within you by the thoughts of the disappointing look your parents might give you, the looks your friends would give as they spoke to you with their meaningless words filled with pity wile feeling bad for you as they continued on with their lives after speaking with you.

 The paper crunched between your hands as you formed fists, anger taking over you.

Anger for the training you did, anger for those who would look at you with that pity.

Anger for not having been better while already having been the best you were.

Anger for crying because of this stupid test, those stupid points that supposedly represented all that you could do.

You just felt so angry.

But all that was just an emotion that covered the underlying sadness. An emotion that covered the small, innocent child that still lived within you from harm.

The emotion that would protect you at your most vulnerable times when you needed it.
