i’m barely into my shb replay but i haven’t stopped thinking for like 4 days about how urianger tells the others he had a vision that the wol will die if they don’t save the first. so they spend their time trying to save the first not just for the first’s sake but for wol also. and then when cori and shtola are reunited they might still die anyway.

alex does a cardcaptor sakura and accidentally opens a magical book and now must save the world. charles is the keeper of the cards who in his small form is a little cat and in his true form is a strange beautiful boy who wants to try all the delicious things that alex brings home

at first alex makes charles stay inside his apartment during the day bc charles does not quite understand human norms and would certainly draw unwanted attention. but charles meows pitifully bc he’s curious and wants to see the world!! even if it’s from alex’s pocket. he likes alex’s pocket. alexander is smart and strong and good and obviously pure of heart to be able to open the book of cards, so of course he will find all the cards and restore order to the world!!

alex is the best human he has ever met in all of his four hundred of years, charles tells alex very seriously over soufflé pancakes covered in cream and cut fruit. alex thinks that this says more about the people that charles has met, people who have tried to use the cards (and charles) for ill. still, alex must try his best to succeed because he does not want to disappoint charles… charles is in many ways so easy to please... but sometimes it's the simplest things that are the hardest to find.... someone who will care for him and the power of the cards…

at first charles is very stubborn and does not see why he needs to buy clothes when he can just wear alex's!! he likes alex's tshirts, which hang loose and comfortably around his body to his thighs and hide how he's rolled up a pair of alex's old boxers underneath it

alex agrees that yes, charles looks good like that, running a hand up charles's legs to mollify him, but he thinks charles might also look good in some other clothes, too. so they go clothes shopping and alex tries not to feel like a filthy pervert when charles holds up a pretty lacy bralette to his chest in the lingerie section and marvels at how delicate it looks

also cat charles climbing up alex's long leg. why isn't alex picking him up!!! alex is so mean!!! and still charles will tell people that alex is the kindest and strongest and best

when alex and charles are like. in the last big battle against the Main Antagonist who is trying to stop alex from securing all the cards. and the antagonist tries to distract alex by telling him that charles is just using him, he can't trust charles. and alex immediately defends charles bc charles is Good and of course alex trust can him... and the antagonist is like oh yeah well he's been lying to you all this time, and alex is about to tell him to fuck off again but charles is so, so pale and trembling, and alex asks, worried, "charles?" and the antagonist is like see! he hasn't told you that the energy needed to lock away all the cards is enough to kill a man, and alex can't believe it, but charles isn't denying it. "that's not true, right, charlie?" alex asks again, slowly becoming scared.

and charles is like very desperately, "i would never let anything hurt you, alex," and that's it. that's what alex was afraid of. because he understands immediately that charles was going to sacrifice himself to pay that price. anyway like magic fighting happens, blah blah, big explosions and fireworks, the evil is defeated dot gif but alex cannot find charles in the immediate aftermath...

"Charles! Charles," Alex calls out, choking on the thick dust.

A pair of sparkling green eyes pokes out over the rubble and Alex's head falls back with relief. 

(obviously charles doesn't die. what happens is that his magical energy is mostly sapped instead, so now he can live with alex forever <3)

YIPPPEEEE! A NEW UPDATE! YOU ARE GIVING ME SO MUCH DOPAMINE!

You said you didn't mind questions or thoughts, so... hope you really meant it:

First and foremost... I am THRIVING off of your Celestial Family(?) AU, I love family dynamics so much, and for Macaque to be the overly protective one fits so well. How I see it, Macaque wants to be in ARMS reach of his child and nowhere farther. It's not about seeing him. It's about being able to get to him - and otherwise save him - from any threats with how potent his energy is.

But how's Wukong? Is he more leanent? Does he want to train him himself? (Obviously, Wukong is still protective but still)

Though it might be a bit too early for training, depending on how old Xiaotian is. Actually, yeah, how old is he during this ark?

It's understandable that Xiaotian is a little frustrated at their protectiveness, but it speaks wonders how he does still comply, worrying that something else is going on. I hope he tries to bring it up to his parents because their are so many ways that would play out, being telling the truth, an argument, a brush off, a break down- no matter how it would go it would be fantastic.

I also love how the Brotherhood is still close, despite everything, and I wonder how much progress they've made, as they succeeded on the first attack on Heaven (or a second one cause Mei is alive, but screw timeline stuff) so he might be weaker, unable to help the world like he wanted to because of the strength needed.

Basically, that's what I think is happening, Azure is losing strength to keep the whole world together. AND based on the Lore Notes, Xiaotian will be the one to fix that. Azure is having a net loss of energy as he's not strong enough to hold the power of the emperor and is slowly turning to stone or might actually just start cracking and die how he did in the show.

The state of Heven itself is fascinating to me, like, what about Nezah?! Or his father?! I assume neither would be in any sort of power because... Azure.

With that being said, has the dynamic changed in the Brotherhood, even if they are all close, with Azure being the emperor, Macaque and Wukong being together, DBK being the husband of a Celestial, and Peng's whole dislike to Macaque (who hasn't shown up yet hmmmmmmm), Yellow Tusk's hesitancy in the show for Azure being emperor, things are bound to have changed at least a little.

Speaking of DBK, It seems like Redson might still have the Samadhi Fire just with the same thing they did to Xiaotian cause JTTW people didn't get Wukong on their side, but they were there to potentially help him I suppose. Anyway- Mai might not have a ring inside her, yaaaay!

Oh, and speaking of Mai, how did she and Xiaotian even meet? Redson and Xiaotian probably met cause their parents are friends, but Mai doesn't live on FFM, at least in the show.

Oh jeez, what about the Lady Bone Demon?! She wouldn't have to revive Macaque, so he wouldn't be her pawn necessarily, but in the need of power or energy for Azure, DBK could go and free her - that would be fun.

ANYWAY- Thank you for giving me an unhealthy amount of dopamine and a gourmet meal with this delicious art\story. Don't worry about the infrequent posting or even the quality of writing. The determination to make a good story seems to do wonders for many people. Know you'll have at least one fan reading no matter how the AU goes <3.

It genuinely makes me feel so happy when I see people enjoy what I make and to see how much you analyze and wonder how things work in this AU just-jdjdkdkskjee

I will explain a few things, because I don't think I'll get into much detail about some things in the comic.

1. Yes, Wukong is still very protective, but he has a different coping mechanism. I wanted make him more closed off, because even in the OG series, he keeps to himself and tries to hide whatever is wrong (example: when he went on a "vacation" when he found out about LBD)

2. MK is training with Red under the guidance of Nezha, but it's more about the energy training and focus. But he does train with them some basic fighting

3. CELESTIAL REALM. OOOH boy I sure did change this one a lot. Ok so in this AU, Mac actually is successful in convincing the brotherhood to NOT attack the celestial realm and take down the Emperor.

In the OG, as far as I understand, they were unhappy with The Emperor because he didn't care about the unjuctice and didn't want to help those in need.

So Macaque convinced them not to try and take down the Emperor, but you instead try and help those in need as much as they can themselves. By this time, Mac and Wukong are already together.

DBK and PIF met in this AU because Nezha and her were sent to check in the brotherhood from time to time (Nezha and PIF are siblings in this AU)

So then Xiaotian, Red Son and Mei are born around the same time (not exactly in the same day but yk) and heaven has a BIG problem with that. They are scared, because these children are a mix of one of the most powerful beings AND their being raised by the brotherhood, their enemy. So they proclaim, that they will either give their children up and let heaven raise them (and own them) or there will be war. And ofc, there was war and the Brotherhood won and Azure became the new Emperor.

Nezha is still their friend and ally, because he did not agree with heaven and ultimately decided to side with the brotherhood. He also guarded the children and made sure they were safe when the fight began, that's one of the main reasons why he is their God-father to all 3 of them.

3. And about Mei, her father in this AU is Ao Lie and he and the rest of the pilgrims and Tripitaka ARE the brotherhood friends.

The JTTW happened, but very differently. Wukong wasn't really a part of the group, but they did come across Wukong and the Brotherhood. Tripitaka helped with the ceremony to help RedSon contain the Samadhi fire, which is how he earned their trust. He and the Pilgrims also helped them during the war against heaven.

I hope this explains some things ^^ feel free to ask if yall have any more questions or want to clarify something. If I can answer it without spoiling the comic, I will 100% answer 🫶

Ok so like, I've got this "What if" story idea bouncing around in my head that I would LOVE to write a fic about, but I feel like I can barely form a coherent thought these days, let alone a cohesive story, lol. But at the same time, this notion is absolutely ROTTING my brain, and I feel like at the very least I have to inflict it on someone else, so. Sorry. I thought of you first.

So like, it's pretty well agreed on that the dungeon the chain is exploring is (practically) in Hyrule's Hyrule, right? A.K.A. in the downfall timeline? So. . .

What if they encountered downfall!Time's ghost???

Do you think Time would realize it? Do you think he would recognize himself in this boy who faced the worst the world could throw at him and couldn't beat the odds, or do you think he has fought so hard to distance himself from the horrors of his youth that he fails to understand? Do you think he could even comprehend the possibility of his failure? (Because he could not fail he could not fail he will not fail—)

If he does recognize the ghost, how do you think he'd react?? Do you think he would see his ghost the way he sees the rest of the chain? Do you think Time would wish to have protected him the he tries to protect the rest of his boys? Or do you think he would hold the spirit to the same standards he holds himself, possibly even feeling shame or anger at the fact that he failed? (How could he fail how could I fail—)

And even beyond that, if Time discovered his ghost first, and alone, do you think he would try to hide it from the others???

And I know for a fact that Wars would recognize the ghost! Do you think he would somehow subtly realize that this isn't the same kid that he fought beside, or do you think that he would get this sinking feeling in his chest, that the boy who followed him through a war, for whom he did everything in his power to guide and protect and train, went through all of that just to die??? Do you think Wars would wonder if he could have prevented it???

And how do you think it would affect the whole chain, to be so suddenly and so jarringly confronted by their survivorship bias? That maybe they aren't the only heroes—they're just the only ones who lived.

And that doesn't even touch on all the angst of the ghost, who is now being confronted with all of these heroes who *did* make it, who *did* beat Ganon and save Hyrule and I just jkdkalhalshskla

Anyways, once again, sorry, but this is all the words I can actually word and I don't want it rattling around in my skull all alone lol

first of all this is absolutely fucking devastating, i’m destroyed (im obsessed)

At the point he’s at in his life right now, I feel like part of Time would be able to look at this other him and his heart would drop because this child is so painfully a child. I feel like he would know this kid tried his BEST, but wasn’t able to beat the odds and I think that would destroy him inside. I feel like he MIGHT try to hide this from the chain, or at least try to stop them from drawing the connection that it’s basically HIM, but I don’t think he’d be angry at Downfall Him. I think he’d feel survivors guilt but 50 times worse because why was HE the version of himself who got to live. He wouldn’t know how to react or how to treat the ghost, he’d be frozen

Warriors would also be absolutely destroyed, this boy doesn’t know him at all, but the idea that he COULD’VE known THIS kid but didn’t get to would hurt his heart so bad. He’d be able to be so incredibly gentle with him in a way Time wouldn’t be able to at the beginning, but I think through how Warriors would be able to treat this ghost Time would be more comfortable around him and maybe even be able to treat his actual self with more kindness

The survivors guilt would hit them all so hard, and seeing what Time looked like during his journey would be like seeing pictures of your grandparents when they were your age. Like, the fact that this kid is dead aside, they’re seeing baby Time

Harry laughs as he crosses his arms and leans back against the wall. “Oh, well, now I’ve gotta hear this.”

Pleased to share, you clear you throat and sneak a glance at Chris. He’s heard this spiel a hundred times, and he smiles knowingly as he nods at you to continue. “Okay, well, obviously they both could have fit. Duh, that’s the first thing they try in the movie. But the second Jack climbs on top, it starts to sink, because it can’t support both their weight. Therefore, they both would have frozen to death, and Jack made the choice to die for her.”

Harry smirks, head shaking as he glances down at the floor. “Well…shit.”

“Exactly,” you agree. “I will die on this hill, it’s such a stupid argument. Because even if things had been different, Jack still would have chosen to die for her because that’s just who his character was. And, honestly? I think we can all agree that saving Leonardo Dicpario just…isn’t worth it anymore?”

He laughs again as Chris slips an arm around your hip and grins down at you.

“You…might have a point," Harry muses.

“Thank you,” you sigh, before you feel a familiar sort of tapping on your waist. You straighten up. “Anyway, thank you so much again for inviting us to your show. It was…so great to see you again, Har. Really. You’re doing so many amazing things. And I’m really proud of you.”

A lifetime of memories pass between you as Harry meets your eye and offers that understanding smile you’re so used to. 

“Anytime,” he says gently, throwing a grin to Chris as well. “Seriously, both of you are always welcome. Just let me know and I’ll make it happen.”

“We might just take you up on that,” you smirk before the tapping on your side increases. “Thank you again, and hey—good luck on your tour.”

“God, yeah, thanks,” he laughs as the rest of his team begins to fervently gesture him over. He winces. “I’m gonna need it.”

With that, he tosses you both a wave before the three of you part ways and disappear down different ends of the hall.

The drumming continues all the way down the corridor and even after you’ve rounded the corner.

It’s not until you find yourselves alone that you place your hand over Chris’s and give it a firm squeeze. “Okay, all right. What’s wrong?”

You slow to a stop, quickly turning to face him as you watch him sigh and look down at the floor. “Nothing. I’m fine, I’m just ready to go.”

But you know him. You know each nervous tic. You know he only taps your hip when he’s anxious. When he needs a reminder that you’re there.

“Chris…” you try again, fingers tangling in his shirt as you tug. “You promised.”

He looks at you, eyebrows weaving through the lace of guilt as he slips his hands around your wrists. “I know, but it’s nothing. Really—”

“Baby—”

“I…just…” He sighs yet again, one palm dragging down his beard. “Look, I know…I know he’s a part of your past. Okay, I know that. And I accept that, I just…I don’t know how to not…think about it.”

Your head tilts as you squeeze his shirt a bit harder between your hands. “Think about what?”

He goes quiet for a moment, eyes flicking between yours. “If you would have been…happier. With him.”

You lean back, almost as if struck by the very notion. “Why…baby, why would you say that?”

He runs his tongue over his bottom lip and shakes his head, seemingly embarrassed. “I know. I know, I just…you guys have a lot of shared history, you know? And I know he’s closer to your age, can maybe give you things that I can’t. So, seeing you guys together, it just…reminds me that I’m not…that I can’t be your past the way he can. That he’ll always be a part of what led you to me…and I just…I fucking hate that.”

With a wounded heart, your eyes soften. “And what is it you think he can give me that you can’t?”

“I don’t know. A husband that you don’t have to push around in a wheelchair,” he huffs, and there’s a hint of teasing, but you know he’s not kidding. “And he’s probably got a little more stamina than I do these days. Can go more places, do more things. Be who you need him to be. And being with him would probably open a lot of doors.”

“Okay, well, I can open my own doors, thank you,” you playfully retort, and you’re rewarded with a gentle smirk. “I’m gonna be honest, it sounds like you think about him a hell of a lot more than I do.”

He snorts and glances off down the hall. “Funny.”

“I mean it.” Your fingers tug once more on his nice dress shirt. “I knew what I was signing up for when I agreed to go on that first date with you. I knew people would talk about our age difference, and I knew there would be things we’d have to work out. I knew. And I still said yes.”

He looks back.

“You know why?” you whisper, now reaching up to press your palm to his cheek. “Because adult diapers or not…I love you. I always will. You’re Captain fucking America, for pete’s sake! And obviously it’s not about how you look. It’s about who you are…but you better believe Harry was eating his fucking heart out when he saw who he lost to.”

He laughs. In that familiar, boyishly charming way you’re so obsessed with. “Wow, thanks. No, that was good. That was good. I’m cured.”

Your response is to reach up and press your lips into his. Firm but loving. Filled with every promise you might never be able to verbally make.

But every promise you plan to keep.

For a moment, he stills, seemingly taken aback by the sudden rush of intimacy. But, after a moment, his hands find a home on your waist, as they always do, and he seems to unwind.

And once you’re sure he’s begun to release some of his anguish, you pull back to see him. Really see him.

“Baby…and I need you to really hear me when I say this…you are the best goddamn thing that’s ever happened to me," you whisper, overcome with emotion.

He smiles, exhaling a gentle laugh as if amused with your effort but you’re far from done.

Your grip becomes a little harder. “I’m serious, okay? Things with Harry…were fine. They were fine. And yeah, maybe he’s a small part of what brought me to you, but you…Chris, you? You…are fucking everything.”

The smile slowly slips off his face at the earnest fervor in your voice.

“Every day when I wake up and see you in bed—in our bed—it reminds me that you weren’t just the right decision. Okay, you are the only decision. You are the only thing that makes sense for me. The only person that I need to be with. Fuck the past. The only future I want looks like you. It is you. You are all of it.”

And you’ve never meant anything more, and you can only hope that he feels exactly how much he means to you.

His expression softens as he releases a deep breath and slips his palm around the back of your neck to keep you close.

“I know that doesn’t fix it,” you tell him gently. “I know that. You think I like running into Minka Kelly and remembering your past? Fuck no. But there is nothing—and I mean this—that Harry could have given me. Nothing. I don’t even—I mean, I can’t even imagine what a future with him would have looked like. I don’t want to imagine.”

Your touch moves to his chest once again, fingers tapping over his heart. 

“When I see him, I don’t think about anything else but you,” you continue. “Honestly. I mean look at you. Come on. Harry doesn’t stand a fucking chance next to you. Not with that receding hairline of his and the complete lack of communicational skills. Seriously, you were such an upgrade for me, it’s not even funny—”

He dips down and kisses you again. Harder this time. As if to say everything he doesn’t know how to say aloud.

“I love you,” he whispers, nose nudging against yours. “I really, really love you.”

“I know,” you whisper back, smiling rather giddily. “And I mean it, Christopher Robert Jamal Evans. You are the best goddamn thing that’s ever happened to me.”

He groans playfully at the use of his full name but kisses you again anyway.

And you let him. Because kissing him feels like coming home. It feels like finally finding your place in the world. 

It just feels…right.

“Take me home,” you murmur the moment his tongue swipes at your bottom lip. “Take me home and make me your future.”

And who is he to say no?

His arm quickly loops around your lower back to tug you into his chest before he leaves you with one final reminder of who he is to you.

And you don’t imagine you’ll ever forget.

“Promise,” he says, smirking victoriously as his hand travels to your ass to give it a quick squeeze.

And you laugh before leading him out of the arena, hand and hand, the anxious tapping now nowhere to be found.

9. Scene that first made me love (or hate) the character

I already loved all of them from the beginning, but the scenes that just made me go “i will fucking die for you” are these

Heatwave: s1 ep2 “Under pressure”

I think the scene that immediately made me love HW so damn much is when he and Kade were on their way to the intersection in the mines under GR to stop the lava from reaching Cody

And before they could reach the intersection there was a wall of rocks in their path, Kade freaks out (rightfully so) cause he thinks they won’t be able to go through to save his lil bro, then comes HW asking Kade to get back in his cabin, HW then proceeds to drive as fast as he can to smash through said wall

What genuinely matters to me tho is the moment after, when Kade asks how he knew it would work, and HW’s reply? “I didn’t”

So HW did something that he knew had a 50% chance of working and a 50% chance of it ending with him probably really hurt, yet he did it anyway

And not only did he get Kade’s respect, but mine too <3333

Boulder: s1 ep8 “walk on the wild side”

The entirety of episode 8 has been an absolute delight to watch, it gives us an amazing insight to Boulder’s personality and how he perceives things, but the scene that just gave Boulder a special little place in my heart is the very last scene in that episode when Cody gives him the plant

It’s super short but it’s such a wholesome scene that made my heart melt and Boulder’s enthusiasm after taking the plant will forever be integrated into my heart ugh i love this soft boi sm 😭❤️🌷✨

The way his curiosity and gentleness shines in such a short moment is just chchvjvjvjjvjv

Chase: s1 ep16 “Rules and regulations”

That entire episode is a love letter to all Chase fans (including me) it had such an amazing plot line and it gave us a situation in which Chase is on his own to deal with what could be an emergency, yet it also gives us an insight in which Chase’s obsession with rules might be a dividing factor between him and the team

But it was really interesting to see how Chase would handle contradictory commands, cause he has to deal with 2 orders, Charlie’s order to not follow them to Griffin Crest under any circumstance, and Heatwave’s order to go anyway after Cody’s call

And so Chase ends up following HW’s command of going, but the moment they reach the border Chase stops completely per Charlie’s command

Idk that entire episode is just dhhxhxhhxh i love it sm

Blades: s1 ep3 “Hotshots”

This episode made me have so much respect for Blades, especially when Blades is hit by lightning and loses control and his ability to fly

Blades’ routers are literally in his legs and you can tell how badly damaged they are by simply looking at them, so now when he’s in bot mode his legs are hurting and you can hear it in his voice, it becomes quite and meek, compared to his usual energetic and loud voice, the way he speaks also changes and he speaks a lot slower too, it was painful to see him in that state

And what does the amazing boi do? He literally climbs a cliff to get Cody and Dani on a higher ground away from the flames, he literally does it while really hurt

Then you realize how severe the damage is not only to his legs but to Blades himself when he tells Cody and Dani that not only did he lose the ability to transform, but to move entirely

It’s like LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT- the boi literally is severely hurt yet he does his job as a rescue bot with zero complaint IM-

Just respect, so much respect man I love him so much 😭❤️🌷✨

Hightide: s3 ep18 “Turning the tide”

His entire episode is easily a one way ticket to loving this grandpa fr, but I think the scene that melted my heart and gave Hightide a special little warm place in it is the very last scene in the episode when he tells OP the rescue bots “got the right stuff”

But the exact moment is when he specifically compliments Blades just HDVDHDJSJJSHD

Like i want you to understand that we see Hightide treating anxiety induced Blades very roughly for the entire episode, and while he treated everyone the same, his focus was almost solely on Blades, and while I completely understood that HT wasn’t simply an asshole doing it for no actual reason, I was still ready to throw hands if he didn’t at least acknowledge Blades’ effort into doing his job

Then you have HT specifically adressing Blades’ (and only Blades’) efforts at the end of the episode and that’s why I’m now obsessed with Dadtide and Blades <33333

Quickshadow: S4 ep4 “Plus one”

This woman immediately found a spot in my heart the moment i saw her, but the scene that just made me go yep that’s ma girl is when she basically tells HW his stance is bad wheeze

The thing is, QS is great at insulting people without actually insulting them/ appearing polite while doing so, and damn do i want her social skills hcchchhc

Blurr: S3 ep 22 “A new hero”

Oh my god that scene when he took the Sigma back to intercept the falling satellite there was a 50% chance his reckless (as always the boi has to be reckless <333) decision was gonna get him killed

The way Blurr is adamant to save GR and how he’d even joke by saying that he wouldn’t have to face HW after Boulder tells him he might get killed, only for HW himself to try and talk Blurr out if it only for Blurr to pull a “oh I can’t hear you! bad communication!!!”

ALL THIS, is before he even became an official rescue bot mind you, he literally didn’t even have the rescue bots insignia on at that point

Needless to say, it’s one of my favorite scenes not only of Blurr but in the entirety of the show <3333

Salvage: s3 ep20

Honestly Salvage is the type of character that immediately finds its place in your heart and that’s how it was for me, but I believe the scene that just made me go HHDHDBZJBDJZJSHZJSHJSJS is when Blurr’s BS is revealed as a lie and Salvage remembers what actually happened on their own ship

You see how hurt Salvage is over it, but just how he immediately forgives Blurr afterwards? I just- AAAAAAAHHHHDBJDJXBXJJDJDH I LOVE THIS KIND BIG HEARTED BOI SM

The way he says “but even so…” his tone is still hurt but he just can’t seem to truly hate Blurr for it, like, Salvage had every right to beat the living spark outta Blurr right then and there, and I don’t think anyone would’ve blamed him for it, but he doesn’t, he just immediately forgives Blurr and it’s just so wholesome and it gives you an insight on how big hearted and forgiving he is <333333

Have I mentioned how much I love Salvage’s and Blurr’s relationship???? Cause it’s such an amazing and unique take on a broken friendship in need of repair and i fucking love seeing Blurr and Salvage and their moments together <333

the ending of IZ is ,, a really odd topic

technically it has 4 endings, well, 4.5

1 : invader dib

no, it in no way was a planned ending ever, but i feel it deserves mentioning considering how prevalent it was

it originally started on TAIZS when the producer was interviewed, he went on to confirm there was a intention to steer the show towards IRK and talking about its “”existence””

(also istg there was a ask where he vaguely explains the plot as a joke but i can’t find it for the life of me)

there were multiple versions of it but there’s two that circulated the most

A: “this special would have allegedly followed Tenn’s kidnapping by the Meekrob, and an all-out war happening between the Meekrob and the Irkens, which would have ended with Zim (aided by Gaz) being victorious over Dib, The Resistys, and the Meekrob, and finally conquering Earth.” (fan wiki)

B: the focus of the show would slowly shift towards irk, dib would get more crazed trying to stop the empire, zim and gaz would team up (or date, depends on who you asked) and stop both dib and the empire. everyone else dies and zagf/r saves the rest of earth

2 : space smoothies

In a nicktoons magazine, IZ made its “””final””” return. in which it had its first comic iteration where zim successfully took over the earth, but just kinda gives up when he sees the merch of himself. dib complains and zim offers to just have a jolly ol’ time in space, them both leaving earth in disarray while just being buds

3 : dookie loop

The “”canon”” ending, basically zim traps dib and the rest of the universe in a timeloop due to not being able to finish a puzzle. blah blah blah i’ll rant about his reasoning for that in another post ANYWAYS,, he eventually finishes it and resigns to fixing the timeline, but the “fix timeline button” doesn’t work and the universe implodes, everyone dies.

4 : nothing is real

i haven’t fully pieced together the lore but this is what ive gathered

rk is god. kinda.

in their orginal universe, zim and dib are real people, dib has gone missing and zim conquered earth. the conditions are really bad till he finally gets the idea to just indoctrinate them all

rk uses the comics as a “coping mechanism” of sorts, avoiding what’s really going on by just reading the comics, it’s really the only think they can do anyways

here’s where my idea sort of splits

A : they continue reading the comics and recapping them all, imagining this fantastical world where life is just zim and dib fighting in middle school, each winning and losing occasionally. rk starts making their own comics and aus, getting more and more absorbed by the characters of zim and dib that anything other than them is incredibly distressing

they get so sucked into their own mind that at this point they feel as though they ARE the creator of these characters and comics. when the story in their mind gets too off track, when it’s getting to the point where it might end, they insert themselves into it and fix whatever issue there was

B : bk (brain kid) is god essentially, rk was originally from the universe as described before but was scooped up by bk at some point and put into the recap section of the comic universe, something similar to in issue 40. in the comic universe, IZ isn’t real, it’s just a comic. yet rk is still able to manipulate the story and interact with the characters, when the comic is finally coming to and end they step in and just start everything over again

oh yeah in both A n B what i mean by ‘the comic ending’ is that earth is burning and no one wins, both zim and dib are about to die

4.5 : timetravel

Probably the most simple one, zim conquers earth, dib dies by being stupid, zim gets killed by his younger self, the end. the only reason it’s “4.5” is due to it being specific to the timeline of that issue, as none of the other entries acknowledge it

I finished playing Final Fantasy X (again)

October 22, 2023

Game: Final Fantasy X HD Remaster First Time/Replaying: Replaying Game Time: 40 hours Console: Nintendo Switch Started: December 5, 2022 Finished: October 21, 2023

I finished this game last year in February, but some time in December I got an itch to play it again. At the time of my initial replay, I didn't have a TV so I played the entire thing on my tiny Switch screen. Now that I had somewhere to dock the Switch to, I wanted to re-experience the story again on a big TV!

So yes, I started Final Fantasy X back in December 2022 and it's taken me almost a year to finish it. In my defense, I have been playing a lot of other games! FFX was sort of just a back-burner, in-between-playthroughs type of game.

However, a few days ago I picked it up and could not put it down. Once you get past a particular area (that blasts an annoying announcement on-repeat the ENTIRE time), the game is very fun and picks up speed as the story unravels. I also decided I wasn't going to "do everything" which threw out a lot of that anxiety.

I have a PS4 now, so I thought, "If I'm going to 'do everything' I might as well go for a Platinum trophy!" I'm glad the Switch doesn't have a trophy system because it lets you enjoy the games without worrying about marking tasks off a list, but with how annoying FFX's side-quests are, if you're going to put yourself through that pain, you might as well get some sort of accolade!

I have no idea when I will start my Platinum attempt, but I really would like to try one day. I've played this game SO many times sinc eI was a kid - why not? People on Instagram telling me I should go for an easier Platinum trophy not only annoys me, but also makes me want to do it even more.

SPOILERS START HERE

Anyways, the endgame of this playthrough was really exciting! I told myself I wouldn't be getting an extra aeons or any of the ultimate weapons, so it was nice just walking around, leveling up, and going into boss fight after boss fight.

Normally, I would have Yuna's ultimate weapon and her Break Damage Limit would save the day! But this time I didn't have that and I relied HEAVILY on Bahamut to save our skins.

Seymour #2 took me two attempts, the Zanarkand Guardian was one attempt, the Zanarkand Trials Glyph Monster Dude took me 3 or 4 tries, Yunalesca was one attempt (!), Seymour #3 was one attempt (!!), and Braska's Final Aeon was ALSO one attempt (!!!).

I was surprised I was able to do do the final leg of the endgame in one attempt without dying. Not to mention, whie fighting Braska's Final Aeon, he petrified Wakka and that man disappeared! I was tempted to restart the game but then I thought, "It's not like I'm getting any EXP from this fight!" So I BEAT THE GAME WITH TWO CHARACTERS ONLY. At one point, Lulu and Yuna had less than 200 HP and I was freaking out!

What saving me was summoning Bahamut once, getting LUCKY AF that he didn't die, dismissing him, then using Yuna's overdrive to summon him again. I also used Auron to zombie Jecht and that helped for awhile, and I used Tidus's talk command once and that 100% saved Lulu and Yuna from dying. *THANK GOD*

While I was more critical of the game this time around (more on that in another post), I still enjoyed this game and it will always be special to me! It's interesting though, I used to cry a lot watching the ending of this game, but this time I didn't. It's official - I'm old lol

When you're young, losing the person you "love" seems like the end of the world, but as you get older you learn people come and go. Yuna, you are 17. You will find someone new!!!

I did, however, cry during that one scene watching Yuna's sphere of messages (after beating the Zanarkand guardian boss). IT IS SO SAD!!! 😭 I felt my throat closing up watching that (specifically the Kimahri part). KIMAHRI, YOU'RE THE BEST! I need to write a Kimahri appreciation post.

7.5 Thoughts

Spoilers ahead for Desperate Defiance!!

Overall, it was pretty good. Once you got out of that first section it was much better. The ending was... Frustrating.

I'm glad we got to know Sa'har better. You really do feel for her, and how she's trying to make amends.

I hate the ugly KOTOR style cutscenes randomly throughout. I wish they were all just the normal style. I know it's probably to save on paying VAs, but it's annoying and jarring and inconsistent.

The Yussinduu fight was pretty fun! I enjoyed it, even if it took me a couple tries.

The section aboard Heta's ship was also enjoyable. I was so glad we meaningfully moved forward, by getting the Holocron.

I was sad to see Sa'har die. Or, well, most likely die. I have no idea how she could survive that but I would be disappointed but not surprised if she came back.

Further: I do think her death was appropriate for the story, at least in her eyes. I was hoping we'd be able to fully recruit her but I understand the logic behind her decision to stay with Ri'kan, especially after the prisoners yelled at her.

I was also hoping for a fight with Shae, under the control of the Holocron. That would've been cool!

But instead, Shae acted like a big fucking idiot by FREEING MALGUS. I do not know how she is going to come back from this. If I was Jekiah, Rass, hell, if I was ANY Mandalorian I would not want to follow her after this.

Like, I do think Shae is a person who would do stupid reckless shit, but this felt egregious, even for her. I am starting to think Heta was right about her specifically. I know that when Thali finds out about this, she is NOT going to be trusting Shae one bit, and might just outright attack her for it.

I was also really sad we got very little time with Arn, and no time with Rass or Tau. And no flirt options :( I just. The romances for this arc have been dragging on and I just want SOMETHING. I really want Rass, who I'm guessing we'll see next update... hopefully.

Anyway, I think this was overall good. The beginning is meh in places and the end is annoying, BUT the middle was really good, and like I said, I really enjoyed getting to know Sa'har.

Please please give us some romance next time. PLEASE. At least a kiss! 😭

I feel like your friends would already be dead by the time he gets to you. I feel like since you're the last person he'd have a dramatic ass entrance like he had with Venesus death reveal.

He'd go on this long ramble about whatever and the longer he looks at you the more he can't help but question if he really should kill you. He'll push that to the back of his head but it keeps coming back the closer he gets to you.

He'd come up with some excuse for you to go run and hide to make it more fun for him or something. But he really needs time to think over why the hell he doesn't want to kill you.

By the time he does find you I feel like he's gonna try to draw it out for as long as he can to try and like make it look like he wanted to kill you but he just ran out of time.

He'll also probably say something about how attractive you are while going on another kinda long rant. He might whisper an apology to you before he punches you to the ground so he can buy you more time to be able to save you.

To really seal the deal he'll wrap his hands around your throat and tell you to pretend to choke to sell it. He's accepted that he doesn't want you to die and he's going to do everything he can do to help you stay alive.

Once 31 is actually over he'll find a way to bring you back home with him. Which may or may not involve forcing you into his van. He'll make some excuse about finishing you off or whatever but he's really just gonna take you back to his house and keep you there with him.

I missed you 😭

I had this idea of an AU rattling around in my head for a while now, basically ever since I saw your little rant about Seraphine in the tags on a Mage!Jinx AU post.

Sooooo I looked up what the Brackern were, because I had never heard of them before, and holy shit I can't look at the Hex crystals the same way 🥺🥺

So imagine, if you will, Powder was able to hear them herself; like she felt an inkling of something when she first picks them up but doesn't give it much thought afterwards because of everything that happens.

Until Vi and the boys go out to rescue Vander, they leave but Mylo or Vi decide to lock the basement door behind them because their worried Powder will follow anyway; so after Powder has her meltdown and then realisation that she could save her family, she's hit with another realisation that her siblings don't trust her, that Vi doesn't trust her after she tries to leave but can't because of the locked door.

She has another breakdown but instead of hurting herself and screaming she's just crying uncontrollably, and while she's going through this grief and feelings of complete hopelessness one of the crystals starts consoling her.

She stops crying and asks if the crystal spoke to her and then all of the crystals start speaking up, because holy shit someone can finally hear them.

Anyway, long story short, Vi and the others get back and go into complete recovery mode and don't notice straight away that Powder is less clingy and more silent then usual; it takes them a few days to realise she's pulling away from them, not completely she still gives everyone hugs and kisses because she's Powder, but she's noticeably distant.

It's mainly because she doesn't feel alone as much because of her new crystal friends (she would definitely call them that) and is working on making them bodies so they can protect themselves, she also feels she found purpose for herself in helping her new friends and by extension her family because of what her new friends are secretly teaching her *wink wink* bit of rune magic and that sort.

Sorry for the long ass ask, I might have gotten a bit carried away 😅😅😅

The crystals coming to the rescue TT-TT and then being shocked that this primitive creature can actually understand them.

I can see why (assuming they survive) Powder would start to pull away (OTHER than having new friends that are actually her friends). Her trust in Vi and her words has been shaken.

BUT OH MY GOSH Powder pulling away from her family because she now has the brackern to speak with 0o0 I love it!

They'd be so worried because of how much she's changed. She gets distracted more often than not, she doesn't talk to or ask to go out with them anymore, and sometimes they hear her talking to someone but when they check there isn't anyone there.

And then her scribbling weird symbols on the wall instead of her usual artwork?

Lowkey I'd be extremely worried if I was Vi.

Ok, but Powder trying and failing to make bodies for them is so sweet. They would tell her that it was appreciated, but their true forms were in Shurima so it was unnecessary. She would hesitantly ask if they wanted her to bring them back to her body and they sort of laugh a bit. They assure her that they were fine as they were.

(They wouldn't say this now, but they would plan to request another of their kind - Skarner - to bring them home once Powder was older and no longer need them. They weren't human, but they understood she was far too young to be left unattended and deemed her original guardians to be unfit as they left her in such a distressed state)

Hello! I think you mean Chapters 35-36. And yes, I’m now caught up with all parts of the main story. Hooray! 

For everyone else reading this ask: Spoilers ahead. Read at your own risk. 

To be honest, all those supposedly “heartbreaking” scenes are rather anti-climatic. The scenes with the four guys aren’t actually real, and Ling Xiao’s gets a one on a scale of ten for heartbreaking stuff. More on that below.

Slight diversion on game mechanics:  The scenes with Li Zeyan, Xu Mo, Zhou Qiluo and Bai Qi happen in the so-called “split routes” in Chapter 36. Each “split route” is only one part long, though. Unlike in Chapter 19 where you have to grind for puzzle pieces to read all routes, here you can unlock the other suitors’ scenes for free once you’ve finished the chapter. This kind of split route/scene can also be found in Chapter 24, so what I’m talking about should be a lot clearer when Chapters 22-24 are released in the English server.

Here’s a screenshot to show what I mean:

Tapping on a particular shard allows you to read a scene with that particular suitor.

Going back to the plot, the scenes with the four guys are illusions / mental blocks the MC has to overcome during her battle with Dark!MC, to mentally prepare MC for her role as Queen because she’s always been afraid of the four guys dying. (See Chapter 24, where she’s fearful of merging the timelines and losing immortality partly because if any of the guys die, she can’t undo things.)

Anyway. To amp up the drama, everybody dies (except maybe MC in some illusions). someone please tell me they got that House reference 

Xu Mo: A truck is careening towards MC and it explodes. Xu Mo cushions MC’s fall and dies of his injuries. It’s not clear whether MC dies or just falls unconscious.

“Now, I’m finally able to embrace you without worrying about anything else.”

Li Zeyan: He randomly appears behind MC. MC, fearing that Li Zeyan is actually a bad guy, stabs him without looking at who he was first. Li Zeyan says he finally understands how painful it was for MC when he stabbed her (in Chapter 18). He dies, while MC faints. 

“Don’t cry. This is, perhaps, the price I have to pay.”

Bai Qi: MC is trapped in a burning room. Bai Qi attempts to save her but fails because the ceiling crumbles. In trying to escape being crushed by the ceiling, they get knocked further back in the burning room and become resigned to their fate. At least they get to die together... (Their words, not mine.) 

“Our end... will be a new beginning.”

Zhou Qiluo: MC and Zhou Qiluo are back in the lab as experiment subjects. MC’s Evol has somehow been stripped from her. Qiluo wants to return his Evol to her, but MC’s body rejects it. They die together, to MC’s consolation. (Again, their words, not mine.)

“I told you before, I’ll stay by your side forever.”

I haven’t touched Ling Xiao’s scene yet because it’s not an illusion. The PV is misleading because all those scenes seem to happen at the same time, but Ling Xiao’s really happens early on in Chapter 35. He’s greatly weakened by his fight with Dark!MC, whose Evol is to take away others’ Evol, but after MC takes him to the hospital, he recovers offscreen.

“...Don’t shout.”

So there’s really nothing to worry about! The stuff the guys say before they “die” in Chapter 36 might be a bit dramatic/sad but ultimately none of it is real. They’re all alive and kicking at the end of Chapter 36, including Ling Xiao.
